New body-cam footage released this month shows singer Justin Timberlake struggling through a field sobriety test in the 2024 Hampton stop that ended with his arrest for driving while intoxicated.
Timberlake was driving in Sag Harbor, New York, at the time of his arrest in June 2024. He later pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired, receiving community service and issuing a public apology, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/justin-timberlake-sobriety-test-video-hamptons-arrest">according</a> to Fox News Digital.

In part of the approximately eight hours of footage, an officer questions Timberlake, who is still in the car.
“I’m on tour,” Timberlake said when the officer asked what he was doing in the area. He then clarified, “A world tour.”
“Doing what?” the officer asked.
“It’s hard to explain,” Timberlake said. “World tour. I’m Justin Timberlake.”
“You are Justin Timberlake?” the officer asked. “Do you have a license with you?”
Later in the video, Timberlake interrupts the officer explaining the field sobriety test.
“Guys, I’m just following my friends back to my house,” Timberlake said. “I’m not doing anything, I’m just following my friends.”
The video shows Timberlake struggling to walk heel-to-toe in a straight line and stand on one leg.
“By the way, these are, like, these are really hard tests,” he told the officers.
Timberlake refused to take a breathalyzer test, at which point the officers arrested him on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Timberlake had sued Sag Harbor Village and the police department earlier this month to stop the release of the footage, according to Fox News Digital. His lawyers said they were told on March 1 that the video would be released in response to a request under Freedom of Information law, although it would be redacted for medical and security reasons.
To block the release, the singer had argued the video contained private information “not germane to any public law enforcement action of public concern.”
On March 20, Timberlake’s lawyers allowed the release of the video in a joint filing that said the footage “does not constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.”
Despite the incident, Timberlake was able to continue his 2024 tour.

The 43-year-old singer’s mugshot inspired a limited-edition <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/arts">art piece</a> shown at the Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-york">New York</a>. The new installation, reportedly available for purchase in several colors, comes courtesy of artist Godfrey Lohman. A report from <a href="https://pagesix.com/2024/07/02/entertainment/justin-timberlake-mugshot-is-art-at-sag-harbor-gallery-happy/">Page Six</a> noted that tourists have been lining up to catch a glimpse of the piece.
“My reaction was, ‘Oh my God!’ That’s great! It’s just great!” gallery owner Romany Kramoris told Page Six. The so-called “Queen of Sag Harbor” also mentioned that the gallery had sold “two or three” of the art pieces, which cost $520 each. Kramoris added that “a lot of people are coming back.”

Timberlake was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two citations, including one for running a stop sign and another for failure to keep in lane, in the early hours of June 18.  
A police report obtained by <a href="https://people.com/justin-timberlake-had-one-martini-when-pulled-over-refused-breathalyzer-police-report-8665607">People magazine</a> noted that the pop singer’s &#8220;eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.&#8221; 
He also refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Documents also said Timberlake claimed, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”
According to reports, the young arresting officer did not recognize Timberlake as a celebrity.
“He didn’t recognize him or his name,” the source said. Another witness claimed, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”
Timberlake’s court appearance is currently set for July 26, when he’s scheduled to perform on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour stop in Poland. The “Cry Me a River” singer also has tour dates in the U.S. later this month.

According to witnesses, the young police officer who arrested <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/justin-timberlake">Justin Timberlake</a> for allegedly driving while intoxicated did not recognize his name or know he was a celebrity.
Page Six <a href="https://pagesix.com/2024/06/18/entertainment/justin-timberlake-dwi-refused-breathalyzer-cop-didnt-recognize/">reported</a> that the 43-year-old Timberlake was with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor on Monday night. The sources said the police were sitting outside where the pop star was having dinner. They said when he left the hotel, the officers “pulled out, and they pulled him over for a traffic violation.”
A source said Timberlake took a field sobriety test but refused the breathalyzer. “His friends were telling the police, ‘Let him go, let him go,&#8217;” the source said, per the outlet. 
The witness also relayed that the cop “was so young that he didn’t even know” who the former NSYNC band member was.
“He didn’t recognize him or his name,” the source said. Another witness claimed, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.&#8217;”
“He was a gentleman,” the second witness added, per Page Six. “He didn’t show any entitlement at all. He did refuse the tests, but that is his right.”
The 10-time Grammy Award winner was photographed leaving the police station alongside his legal representation on Tuesday morning. His mugshot has been making the rounds online.

A source told People that the singer was pulled over after having dinner at the American Hotel and was pulled over after leaving the establishment to drive to his friend&#8217;s house.
&#8220;Nobody was hurt,&#8221; the source told People. &#8220;He will be arraigned in about an hour.&#8221;
A Sag Harbor official confirmed that the charges Timberlake faces are DWI-related. People reported that he&#8217;s due back in court on July 26 for a hearing.

Justin Timberlake reportedly appeared to take a shot at his ex-Britney Spears when he told an audience he would be apologizing to &#8220;absolutely f***ing nobody&#8221; — after Spears appeared to issue a mea-culpa to Timberlake days earlier.
During the 43-year-old singer&#8217;s one-night-only show in New York, just before performing his hit song &#8220;Cry Me A River&#8221; (a breakup song about Spears) Timberlake reportedly said,  &#8220;I&#8217;d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f***ing nobody,&#8221; <a href="https://people.com/justin-timberlake-apologizes-to-absolutely-fing-nobody-before-performing-cry-me-a-river-at-concert-8557310?utm_campaign=peoplemagazine&amp;utm_content=new&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_term=65bbb979e0892a0001843660">People magazine</a> reported.

As of Thursday, Spears&#8217; apology post has been deleted.  The &#8220;Toxic&#8221; hitmaker also reportedly responded to Timberlake&#8217;s swipe in a <a href="https://x.com/breatheonmiley/status/1753111587953758586?s=20">screenshot</a> shared Thursday that read, &#8220;Someone told me someone was talking sh*tabout me on the streets!  Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time?  I&#8217;m not sorry!”

In a recent shocking turn of events, America’s Princess of Pop unlocked a national conversation on a taboo subject for countless women across this country. In <a href="https://people.com/britney-spears-justin-timberlake-pregnancy-abortion-exclusive-8362622" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passages</a> from her new memoir, Britney Spears details undergoing intense pain from an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/britney-spears-describes-at-home-abortion-as-excruciating-crying-and-sobbing-for-hours" target="_blank" rel="noopener">‘agonizing’ at-home abortion</a>. Spears alleges that her serious boyfriend at the time, Justin Timberlake, was “sure he didn’t want to be a father.” In a one-two gut punch, she reveals that the pregnancy was, “a surprise, but for me, it wasn&#8217;t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much.” Spears alleges that contrary to her choice, she ultimately agreed with Timberlake’s decision to abort their child. She says that decision still haunts her to this day. “Twenty years later, [I] remember the pain of it, and the fear…if it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it.”
Now ask yourself, does that sound like an empowering picture of women’s choice to you?
Abortion coercion happens and it happens at alarming rates, yet hardly anyone talks about it. A <a href="https://www.cureus.com/articles/146123-the-effects-of-abortion-decision-rightness-and-decision-type-on-womens-satisfaction-and-mental-health#!/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recent study from earlier this year</a> shows that this is a hidden epidemic in our country, with nearly 70% of abortions cited as coerced, unwanted, or inconsistent with women’s preferences. Megyn Kelly said it best on her podcast when she <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EpIXxVcn7k" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shared Spears’ news</a>, commenting on her bravery and posing a million-dollar question: Why don’t we talk about this problem? 
I believe the biggest reason we don’t talk about abortion coercion, unfortunately, is because it&#8217;s an inconvenient truth for the business of abortion. Consider that, after the heart-breaking news about her abortion, not one stitch of communication came from Planned Parenthood, Emily’s List, or Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America). How odd, particularly when these pro-abortion organizations glad-hand with celebrities like there’s no tomorrow and demand women “shout” with unalloyed pride about their abortions. But it was crickets from them in response to Spears’ abortion confession. These organizations should be leading the charge to break the silence, stop the chokehold, and blot out this injustice. We should all be encouraged to activate our voices, just like Britney Spears, and share our experiences of abortion coercion. 
In 2021, Spears’ conservatorship court case alleged that her team forced her to have an IUD inside her so she couldn’t get pregnant. <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/planned-parenthood-britney-spears-iud/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood responded</a> swiftly, “We stand in solidarity with Britney and all women who face reproductive coercion.”
Well, where is that same vigor today when the reproductive coercion that she alleges tips the scales in favor of abortion? Where is your solidarity?
The truth is abortion is the currency of pro-abortion activists and the political currency of most Democrats. Good luck trying to get them to sever their own cash cow. Look no further than last year’s <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/planned-parenthood-rakes-billions-despite-offering-fewer-services-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood Annual Report</a>. They raked in $1.9 billion in income – almost $1.9 million a day coming from taxpayers – while carrying out more than 374,000 abortions. 97% of the time, when a woman comes to them pregnant, she is sold an abortion. They charge a woman anywhere from around $600 for the earliest abortions to thousands of dollars for third-trimester abortions. And organizations like Planned Parenthood and others are also multi-million-dollar donors to Democrats.
They all know that abortion coercion is real, it happens, and it is detrimental to women. But none of them are willing to condemn it or even publicly acknowledge its existence. How can you be in the business of abortion and not recognize how it can be weaponized against women? You can’t mention reproductive coercion without admitting the role abortion plays.
I would encourage any of them to visit a pregnancy resource center and talk to women with unplanned pregnancies. I talk to them every week. I was one of those women.
When I confronted my child’s father with our unplanned pregnancy, he engaged in a full night of drinking. After he was drunk, he demanded I abort our child and threatened me. I don’t know how I mustered the courage, but I told him I would not be aborting our baby. After that, to my surprise, he never threatened me with abortion again. But not everyone’s story turns out like mine. And frankly, no one should ever be threatened, pressured, or forced to abort – by a partner, parent, physician or anyone.
Britney Spears’ confession has sparked a national conversation and I am thankful for it. As a country, we need to break the silence and allow women the freedom to publicly share our abortion coercion stories without fear or shame. And I invite abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood and others to join us in condemning abortion coercion and to stand in solidarity and elevate the stories of women who have been harmed by abortion.

As for the abortion, Spears described in detail how it felt in her memoir. &#8220;It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion, which meant doing everything at home,” she <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/books/2023/10/24/britney-spears-memoir-madonna-friendship-justin-timberlake-turmoil/71295328007/">wrote</a>. 
Because they were worried about the abortion being leaked to the press, only Spears’ assistant and family friend Felicia Culotta and Timberlake knew about the procedure. 
The pop star wrote in the book that the process was “excruciating&#8221; and that she was lying on the bathroom floor “sobbing and screaming” after ingesting the abortifacient pills because “the pain was unbelievable.” She wrote in the book that Timberlake was with her, strumming his guitar to try to cheer her up.
&#8220;I kept crying and sobbing until it was all over. It took hours, and I don’t remember how it ended, but I do, twenty years later, remember the pain of it, and the fear,&#8221; Spears wrote.
