<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/justin-timberlakes-license-suspended-after-dwi-arrest-judge-threatens-his-attorney-with-gag-order">Justin Timberlake</a> is expected to take a plea deal following his New York DWI (driving while intoxicated) arrest in June, avoiding a DWI misdemeanor, which carries time behind bars.
The 43-year-old pop singer’s 2024 tour is expected to continue following reports that Timberlake will submit a guilty plea at his court date on Friday for a lesser charge after he initially pled not guilty to the DWI charge, the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/justin-timberlake-guilty-plea-dui-new-york-e274512147f2bea6eb44c6c1b713c175">Associated Press</a> reported.
The original DWI charge carried a maximum of a year behind bars plus a $2,500 fine. If he takes the plea deal, he will only have to pay a fine between $300 and $500, <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2024/09/11/justin-timberlake-pleads-guilty-traffic-offense-not-dwi/">TMZ</a> reported.
It comes after surveillance footage from the night of the arrest in June shows Timberlake’s 2025 BMW driving down a deserted street near the American Hotel in Sag Harbor in the Hamptons.
The arrest report says Timberlake was stopped after a police officer noticed him ignoring a stop sign and “fail[ing] to keep on the right side of the roadway,” <a href="https://people.com/justin-timberlake-photo-shows-driving-before-dwi-arrest-8665820">People</a> noted.

In August, Timberlake appeared in court virtually where he pleaded not guilty for a second time to the charge in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/justin-timberlakes-license-suspended-dwi-hearing-judge-threatens-gag-o-rcna164841">NBC News</a> noted.
During the hearing, Justice Carl Irace announced that the pop star’s out-of-state New York license would be suspended because Timberlake refused to take a breathalyzer test on June 18 when he was pulled over, the outlet noted.
The judge also blasted the singer’s attorney, Edward Burke, for his “irresponsible” comments, claiming that it “comes off as an attempt to poison the case before it even begins,” NBC News noted.

The 43-year-old singer’s mugshot inspired a limited-edition <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/arts">art piece</a> shown at the Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-york">New York</a>. The new installation, reportedly available for purchase in several colors, comes courtesy of artist Godfrey Lohman. A report from <a href="https://pagesix.com/2024/07/02/entertainment/justin-timberlake-mugshot-is-art-at-sag-harbor-gallery-happy/">Page Six</a> noted that tourists have been lining up to catch a glimpse of the piece.
“My reaction was, ‘Oh my God!’ That’s great! It’s just great!” gallery owner Romany Kramoris told Page Six. The so-called “Queen of Sag Harbor” also mentioned that the gallery had sold “two or three” of the art pieces, which cost $520 each. Kramoris added that “a lot of people are coming back.”

“[Timberlake’s mugshot] is our most contemporary piece! It’s au courant,” another gallery employee told the outlet.
Timberlake was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two citations, including one for running a stop sign and another for failure to keep in lane, in the early hours of June 18.  
A police report obtained by <a href="https://people.com/justin-timberlake-had-one-martini-when-pulled-over-refused-breathalyzer-police-report-8665607">People magazine</a> noted that the pop singer’s &#8220;eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.&#8221; 
He also refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Documents also said Timberlake claimed, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”
According to reports, the young arresting officer did not recognize Timberlake as a celebrity.
“He didn’t recognize him or his name,” the source said. Another witness claimed, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”
Timberlake’s court appearance is currently set for July 26, when he’s scheduled to perform on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour stop in Poland. The “Cry Me a River” singer also has tour dates in the U.S. later this month.

According to witnesses, the young police officer who arrested <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/justin-timberlake">Justin Timberlake</a> for allegedly driving while intoxicated did not recognize his name or know he was a celebrity.
Page Six <a href="https://pagesix.com/2024/06/18/entertainment/justin-timberlake-dwi-refused-breathalyzer-cop-didnt-recognize/">reported</a> that the 43-year-old Timberlake was with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor on Monday night. The sources said the police were sitting outside where the pop star was having dinner. They said when he left the hotel, the officers “pulled out, and they pulled him over for a traffic violation.”
A source said Timberlake took a field sobriety test but refused the breathalyzer. “His friends were telling the police, ‘Let him go, let him go,&#8217;” the source said, per the outlet. 
The witness also relayed that the cop “was so young that he didn’t even know” who the former NSYNC band member was.
“He didn’t recognize him or his name,” the source said. Another witness claimed, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.&#8217;”
“He was a gentleman,” the second witness added, per Page Six. “He didn’t show any entitlement at all. He did refuse the tests, but that is his right.”

ABC cited &#8220;a law enforcement official&#8221; source who said Timberlake was driving in Sag Harbor, New York, at the time of arrest. The 43-year-old recording artist is reportedly scheduled for an arraignment on Tuesday. Timberlake remained in custody on Tuesday morning, according to MSNBC.
A source told People that the singer was pulled over after having dinner at the American Hotel and was pulled over after leaving the establishment to drive to his friend&#8217;s house.
&#8220;Nobody was hurt,&#8221; the source told People. &#8220;He will be arraigned in about an hour.&#8221;
A Sag Harbor official confirmed that the charges Timberlake faces are DWI-related. People reported that he&#8217;s due back in court on July 26 for a hearing.

Justin Timberlake reportedly appeared to take a shot at his ex-Britney Spears when he told an audience he would be apologizing to &#8220;absolutely f***ing nobody&#8221; — after Spears appeared to issue a mea-culpa to Timberlake days earlier.
During the 43-year-old singer&#8217;s one-night-only show in New York, just before performing his hit song &#8220;Cry Me A River&#8221; (a breakup song about Spears) Timberlake reportedly said,  &#8220;I&#8217;d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f***ing nobody,&#8221; <a href="https://people.com/justin-timberlake-apologizes-to-absolutely-fing-nobody-before-performing-cry-me-a-river-at-concert-8557310?utm_campaign=peoplemagazine&amp;utm_content=new&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_term=65bbb979e0892a0001843660">People magazine</a> reported.

As of Thursday, Spears&#8217; apology post has been deleted.  The &#8220;Toxic&#8221; hitmaker also reportedly responded to Timberlake&#8217;s swipe in a <a href="https://x.com/breatheonmiley/status/1753111587953758586?s=20">screenshot</a> shared Thursday that read, &#8220;Someone told me someone was talking sh*tabout me on the streets!  Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time?  I&#8217;m not sorry!”

In a recent shocking turn of events, America’s Princess of Pop unlocked a national conversation on a taboo subject for countless women across this country. In <a href="https://people.com/britney-spears-justin-timberlake-pregnancy-abortion-exclusive-8362622" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passages</a> from her new memoir, Britney Spears details undergoing intense pain from an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/britney-spears-describes-at-home-abortion-as-excruciating-crying-and-sobbing-for-hours" target="_blank" rel="noopener">‘agonizing’ at-home abortion</a>. Spears alleges that her serious boyfriend at the time, Justin Timberlake, was “sure he didn’t want to be a father.” In a one-two gut punch, she reveals that the pregnancy was, “a surprise, but for me, it wasn&#8217;t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much.” Spears alleges that contrary to her choice, she ultimately agreed with Timberlake’s decision to abort their child. She says that decision still haunts her to this day. “Twenty years later, [I] remember the pain of it, and the fear…if it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it.”
Now ask yourself, does that sound like an empowering picture of women’s choice to you?
Abortion coercion happens and it happens at alarming rates, yet hardly anyone talks about it. A <a href="https://www.cureus.com/articles/146123-the-effects-of-abortion-decision-rightness-and-decision-type-on-womens-satisfaction-and-mental-health#!/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recent study from earlier this year</a> shows that this is a hidden epidemic in our country, with nearly 70% of abortions cited as coerced, unwanted, or inconsistent with women’s preferences. Megyn Kelly said it best on her podcast when she <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EpIXxVcn7k" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shared Spears’ news</a>, commenting on her bravery and posing a million-dollar question: Why don’t we talk about this problem? 
I believe the biggest reason we don’t talk about abortion coercion, unfortunately, is because it&#8217;s an inconvenient truth for the business of abortion. Consider that, after the heart-breaking news about her abortion, not one stitch of communication came from Planned Parenthood, Emily’s List, or Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America). How odd, particularly when these pro-abortion organizations glad-hand with celebrities like there’s no tomorrow and demand women “shout” with unalloyed pride about their abortions. But it was crickets from them in response to Spears’ abortion confession. These organizations should be leading the charge to break the silence, stop the chokehold, and blot out this injustice. We should all be encouraged to activate our voices, just like Britney Spears, and share our experiences of abortion coercion. 
In 2021, Spears’ conservatorship court case alleged that her team forced her to have an IUD inside her so she couldn’t get pregnant. <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/planned-parenthood-britney-spears-iud/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood responded</a> swiftly, “We stand in solidarity with Britney and all women who face reproductive coercion.”
Well, where is that same vigor today when the reproductive coercion that she alleges tips the scales in favor of abortion? Where is your solidarity?
The truth is abortion is the currency of pro-abortion activists and the political currency of most Democrats. Good luck trying to get them to sever their own cash cow. Look no further than last year’s <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/planned-parenthood-rakes-billions-despite-offering-fewer-services-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood Annual Report</a>. They raked in $1.9 billion in income – almost $1.9 million a day coming from taxpayers – while carrying out more than 374,000 abortions. 97% of the time, when a woman comes to them pregnant, she is sold an abortion. They charge a woman anywhere from around $600 for the earliest abortions to thousands of dollars for third-trimester abortions. And organizations like Planned Parenthood and others are also multi-million-dollar donors to Democrats.
They all know that abortion coercion is real, it happens, and it is detrimental to women. But none of them are willing to condemn it or even publicly acknowledge its existence. How can you be in the business of abortion and not recognize how it can be weaponized against women? You can’t mention reproductive coercion without admitting the role abortion plays.
I would encourage any of them to visit a pregnancy resource center and talk to women with unplanned pregnancies. I talk to them every week. I was one of those women.
When I confronted my child’s father with our unplanned pregnancy, he engaged in a full night of drinking. After he was drunk, he demanded I abort our child and threatened me. I don’t know how I mustered the courage, but I told him I would not be aborting our baby. After that, to my surprise, he never threatened me with abortion again. But not everyone’s story turns out like mine. And frankly, no one should ever be threatened, pressured, or forced to abort – by a partner, parent, physician or anyone.
Britney Spears’ confession has sparked a national conversation and I am thankful for it. As a country, we need to break the silence and allow women the freedom to publicly share our abortion coercion stories without fear or shame. And I invite abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood and others to join us in condemning abortion coercion and to stand in solidarity and elevate the stories of women who have been harmed by abortion.

Spears started dating Timberlake in 1999 when she was 17 and he was 18. The abortion reportedly happened when Spears was about 19. They were a couple until 2002.

As for the abortion, Spears described in detail how it felt in her memoir. &#8220;It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion, which meant doing everything at home,” she <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/books/2023/10/24/britney-spears-memoir-madonna-friendship-justin-timberlake-turmoil/71295328007/">wrote</a>. 
Because they were worried about the abortion being leaked to the press, only Spears’ assistant and family friend Felicia Culotta and Timberlake knew about the procedure. 
The pop star wrote in the book that the process was “excruciating&#8221; and that she was lying on the bathroom floor “sobbing and screaming” after ingesting the abortifacient pills because “the pain was unbelievable.” She wrote in the book that Timberlake was with her, strumming his guitar to try to cheer her up.
&#8220;I kept crying and sobbing until it was all over. It took hours, and I don’t remember how it ended, but I do, twenty years later, remember the pain of it, and the fear,&#8221; Spears wrote.

&#8220;For fun, starting when I was in eighth grade, my mom [Lynne] and I would make the two-hour drive from Kentwood to Biloxi, Mississippi, and while we were there, we would drink daiquiris,&#8221; Spears wrote. &#8220;We called our cocktails &#8216;toddies.'&#8221;
&#8220;I loved that I was able to drink with my mom every now and then. The way we drank was nothing like how my father did it,&#8221; she added. &#8220;When he drank, he grew more depressed and shut down. We became happier, more alive and adventurous.&#8221;

Spears chose not to name the actress because she said the woman has a family and &#8220;doesn’t want to embarrass&#8221; her. Another revelation from the &#8220;Gimme More &#8221; hitmaker was that she admitted she cheated while dating Timberlake with choreographer Wade Robson-confirming longtime rumors about unfaithfulness in their relationship.
Spears <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/10/19/britney-spears-admits-she-cheated-on-justin-timberlake-with-wade-robson-in-memoir/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confessed</a> she &#8220;made out&#8221; and danced through the night with Robson when the two ended up at a Spanish bar while she was still in a relationship with Timberlake. The  pop star suggested in her memoir that her cheating had more to do with rumors of unfaithfulness by the former &#8220;Mickey Mouse Club&#8221; member, the <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/19/arts/music/britney-spears-memoir-takeaways.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Times</a> noted.
Spears&#8217; time in the spotlight briefly came to an end in 1994 when her time on the &#8220;Mickey Mouse Club&#8221; show ended. She talked fondly of that time in the memoir but admitted she missed performing.
In 1998, the 16-year-old singer released her debut single &#8220;&#8230;Baby One More Time&#8221; and became a huge celebrity. During the height of her career in the mid-2000s Spears appeared in headlines for the wild partying she was doing with socialite Paris Hilton and Disney actress Lindsay Lohan.
In the memoir, the pop star disputes that she was ever as &#8220;wild&#8221; as the press reported during her early adulthood as she admitted to doing &#8220;Adderall liberally&#8221; while she was drinking to feel &#8220;less depressed,&#8221; <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/10/19/britney-spears-reveals-drug-of-choice-from-2000s-partying-days/?utm_source=instagram&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=pagesix&amp;utm_content=curalate_like2buy_oY9UkwSj__374c9d3a-c1be-4910-9b74-e7a7dc6dff42&amp;utm_term=curalate_like2buy&amp;crl8_id=374c9d3a-c1be-4910-9b74-e7a7dc6dff42" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Page Six</a> noted.
In 2004, she tied the knot with dancer Kevin Federline and the couple had two sons together. They divorced in 2007.

In 2008, Spear&#8217;s father was put in charge of her financial affairs over concerns about the pop star&#8217;s mental health after she had been hospitalized for involuntary psychological assessments <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/19/arts/music/britney-spears-memoir-takeaways.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">twice</a>. She remained under the conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, for nearly 14 years.
The singer said when it comes to that time in her life, it&#8217;s still hard to think about &#8220;having my freedom stripped away.&#8221;
She wrote that many of the headline-catching things she did during that time, like shaving her head bald, were about trying to have control in a situation where she said she had none, <a href="https://people.com/britney-spears-says-dad-jamie-spears-repeatedly-told-her-looked-fat-during-conservatorship-exclusive-8362501?utm_campaign=people&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=instagram&amp;utm_content=likeshop" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People</a> noted.
&#8220;I&#8217;d been eyeballed so much growing up,&#8221; Spears wrote. I’d been looking up and down, and had people telling me what they thought of my body, since I was a teenager. Shaving my head and acting out were my ways of pushing back. But under the conservatorship, I was made to understand that those days were now over. I had to grow my hair out and get back into shape. I had to go to bed early and take whatever medication they told me to take.&#8221;
Spears said because she didn&#8217;t get to feel like an adult she would do &#8220;child-like&#8221; things and act like &#8220;a little girl&#8221; under the conservatorship, <a href="https://people.com/britney-spears-felt-like-child-robot-under-conservatorship-exclusive-8362488?hid=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc&amp;did=10702090-20231017&amp;utm_source=ppl&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=people-news_newsletter&amp;utm_content=101723&amp;lctg=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc">People</a> reported.
&#8220;This is what&#8217;s hard to explain, how quickly I could vacillate between being a little girl and being a teenager and being a woman, because of the way they had robbed me of my freedom,&#8221; the teen pop star wrote. &#8220;There was no way to behave like an adult, since they wouldn&#8217;t treat me like an adult…”
Several other revelations from Britney’s memoir <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/britney-spears-says-she-was-infantilized-and-a-child-robot-under-conservatorship" target="_blank" rel="noopener">included</a> that she felt &#8220;infantilized&#8221; and like a &#8220;child robot&#8221; under her conservatorship and she has no plans to get back to performing.
&#8220;Feeling like you&#8217;re never good enough is a soul-crushing state of being for a child,&#8221; Spears <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/britney-spears-says-she-was-infantilized-and-a-child-robot-under-conservatorship" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote.</a> &#8220;He&#8217;d [Jamie] drummed that message into me as a girl, and even after I&#8217;d accomplished so much, he was continuing to do that to me.&#8221;
&#8220;I became a robot. But not just a robot — a sort of child-robot,&#8221; she added. &#8220;I had been so infantilized that I was losing pieces of what made me feel like myself. The conservatorship stripped me of my womanhood, made me into a child. I became more of an entity than a person onstage.&#8221;
&#8220;Thirteen years went by with me feeling like a shadow of myself,&#8221; Spears said, <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/britney-spears-memoir-father-jamie-called-fat-1235620387/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">THR</a> reported. &#8220;I think back now on my father and his associates having control over my body and my money for that long and it makes me feel sick. Think of how many male artists gambled all their money away; how many had substance abuse or mental health issues. No one tried to take away their control over their bodies and money. I didn&#8217;t deserve what my family did to me.&#8221;

In November 2021, a judge terminated the conservatorship.
&#8220;Pushing forward in my music career is not my focus at the moment,&#8221; Britney wrote. &#8220;It’s time for me not to be someone who other people want; it’s time to actually find myself.&#8221;
&#8220;The Woman In Me&#8221; is due out October 24.
