In October 2025, Joy Behar made headlines when she suggested that conservatives wouldn’t come on “The View” because “<a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2025/10/14/view-whines-republicans-wont-go-their-show-theyre-afraid-us">they’re afraid of us</a>.” Obviously, this caused <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2025/10/21/conservatives-call-out-view-not-accepting-appearance">several conservatives to speak out</a> and show proof that the show had actually refused their requests to come on and speak with the liberal cast, including members of Congress. A new <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2026/07/29/views-number-conservative-guests-swells-5-compared-87">NewsBusters study</a>, out this week, shows just how bad <a href="https://cdn.mrc.org/static/pdfuploads/The%20View%20Season%2029%20Guest%20Count.pdf-1785189121072.pdf">the disparity</a> was between which views “The View” allowed to be shared with their audience.
According to an examination of all 321 guests “The View” spoke with during their 29th season (September 8, 2025 to July 24, 2026), 87 of them expressed liberal opinions while only five expressed a conservative opinion.
Breaking down those numbers further, 16 of the liberal guests were Democratic politicians, both active and former. Additionally, they spoke with two of the liberal U.S. Supreme Court justices, Sonia Sotomayor (their first guest of the season) and Ketanji Brown Jackson, as well as former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
Then there’s the conservative side of the data.
In addition to the highly publicized appearance of Vice President JD Vance on June 16 (the last time they spoke to a conservative), they also had on L.A. mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, actress Cheryl Hines, and former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
At the time, Sunny Hostin commended Pratt’s candidacy by saying, “You are going to do so much.” That was before they <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2026/05/14/whoopi-wildfire-victim-pratt-shouldnt-be-passing-judgment">turned against him</a>.
The conversation they had with Hines was less about her and more about using her as a punching bag in lieu of her husband, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Greene seemed to be their favorite guest since they had her on three times over the course of the season. Only one of her appearances counted as a conservative appearance since the other two featured her bashing the rest of the party and pushing liberal talking points.
It says a lot about “The View” that Greene met the “<a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2025/11/07/view-conservatives-dont-live-our-certain-caliber-guest">certain caliber of guest</a>” they insisted they would only speak to.
As a way of writing off most conservative writers and thought leaders, “The View” has publicly said they only want to speak with the people they talk about on the show. But that’s a lie.
In the spring of 2026, “The View” targeted and smeared The Daily Wire’s Isabel Brown for her CPAC comments encouraging women to get married and have kids. One co-host even suggested Brown was in an abusive marriage.
When Brown reached out and requested an appearance so they could have a rational conversation, “The View” <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2026/04/03/view-continues-smear-isabel-brown-encouraging-marriage-kids">rejected the request and lied to her</a> about being all booked up. Meanwhile, they continued to attack and smear her on their podcast.
The real reason “The View” doesn’t like bringing on conservatives is because they’re the ones who are afraid. They’re afraid of being called out and having their farces exposed. Alyssa Farah Griffin <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2025/11/12/view-whines-about-guests-trashing-show-after-dealing-them">admitted as much</a> on their podcast when she said they don’t like “when people want to come on to, like, have a moment.”
Translation: We don’t want viral moments that embarrass us.

“The View” is ending Season 29 with an uncertain future, with <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2026/06/23/mrc-leads-charge-strip-view-bona-fide-news-status">the FCC breathing down their necks</a> as their “bona fide news program” status was being scrutinized and ABC News reportedly <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2026/07/22/feeling-pressure-view-reportedly-slashing-budgets-denying">denying raises and slashing budgets</a> as advertisers looked elsewhere. Amid all of this, the liberal ladies stayed on message and cranked up the crazy in the closing week of the season with a torrent of lies crafted to scare their audience and drive them to the polls in utter terror in November.
Arguably one of the most outlandish things anyone on “The View” has ever uttered came from Joy Behar on Thursday. She was shouting about how we needed to “follow the money.” Supposedly, President Trump was being paid by Saudi Arabia to allow them to get nukes so they could drop one on Cleveland, Ohio.
It was truly wild stuff:

No. The agreement with the Saudis was not to give them nukes or allow them to construct nukes. The agreement was for <a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-saudi-arabia-nuclear-program-uranium-15fdb262bb9c83d0d959ca96b7561c12">enriching uranium for nuclear energy</a>. And claiming Trump was selling out America so another country could nuke us was downright dangerous and incendiary rhetoric that could spur another liberal nutcase to violence.

Also, why Cleveland? Do the Saudis or Trump have a particular hatred for the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame? Maybe they&#8217;re still upset over the end of “The Drew Carey Show.”
“The View” also repeated the refrain they’ve been singing all year, that Trump was planning to steal the 2026 midterm elections.
“The question is: do you think he&#8217;s laying the groundwork to contest the election? Hell, yeah,” Whoopi Goldberg exclaimed. Behar added: “That speech was not about 2020. That speech was about 2026 and he is petrified that the Democrats are going to take over.”

Additionally, Behar’s brain apparently deleted every <a href="https://www.advocate.com/print-issue/current-issue/2012/12/01/new-joy-behar">comment she</a> and <a href="https://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2022/09/07/doing-her-part-view-defends-2016-election-denial-jean-pierre">her co-hosts</a> had made <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2026/06/08/cant-believe-sunny-hostin-justifies-skepticism-trump-2024">doubting</a> every Republican presidential victory since 2000, including 2024. According to her, no one had ever questioned the validity of an American election before Trump:

Behar has also claimed <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2023/04/06/view-power-hungry-gop-only-win-elections-cheating">every Republican electoral victory</a> is suspect.
Finally, on Friday’s show, Hostin (<a href="https://x.com/NickFondacaro/status/2080677999733596489?s=20">who thought only 5 states required I.D</a>.) equated requiring I.D. to vote to having black people &#8220;count jelly beans in a jar&#8221; and &#8220;having to answer citizenship questions.&#8221; &#8220;I believe that in my soul,&#8221; she proclaimed.

If Vice President JD Vance decides to run for the nation&#8217;s top office in 2028, he already has one unlikely endorsement — albeit an unofficial one — from Joy Behar.
When Vance appeared on Tuesday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;The View,&#8221; no one expected him to get along with the decidedly liberal and vocally anti-Trump hosts of the ABC talk show — and certainly, no one expected him to walk away from the table with one of them encouraging him to run for president — but that is what happened.

Following Tuesday&#8217;s broadcast, Behar sat down with longtime executive producer Brian Teta for the &#8220;Behind the Table&#8221; podcast — and they jumped right into a conversation about Vance&#8217;s appearance and how he&#8217;d surprised them by being genuinely funny.
&#8220;Listen, he talked about his giant head for a while. I enjoyed that,&#8221; Teta smiled, referencing Vance&#8217;s claim that people often only saw his big head and didn&#8217;t notice he was tall. &#8220;He sat down with a joke, I thought that was pretty good, his press team told him that this was a table of MAGA Republicans —&#8221;
&#8220;Yeah, that was funny,&#8221; Behar agreed.
&#8220;And apparently — oh, I&#8217;m getting a note here — you told him during the break that he should run for president because he has a good vibe,&#8221; Teta said then, turning to Behar for a response.
&#8220;I think that even though — for a Republican, mind you, I&#8217;m not a Republican,&#8221; Behar said. &#8220;I think possibly I voted for Michael Bloomberg once for mayor, who was supposedly — supposedly he was a Republican. I don&#8217;t mind a Republican on the city level because it needs a little discipline. But on the national level, I want somebody with a good heart, and those are more in the Democratic Party in my opinion.&#8221;
&#8220;They care about the poor, they help people,&#8221; Behar continued, adding, &#8220;The Republican Party is more about saving taxes for rich people, so I&#8217;m not a Republican.&#8221;
Teta interjected then to say that Vance had admitted backstage that appearing on &#8220;The View&#8221; had made him more nervous than preparing for his vice presidential debate against Governor Tim Walz (D-MN).
&#8220;He should be,&#8221; Behar shot back, arguing that the ladies with whom she shared the table brought &#8220;many receipts&#8221; when they presented their questions. &#8220;Truthfully, as I said to you in the beginning of this conversation, I don&#8217;t think that he&#8217;s a bad guy. So if he runs against, say, [Governor] Gavin Newsom (D-CA), that will be an interesting debate to see those two because they&#8217;re both intelligent.&#8221;
During the podcast, Behar and Teta also revealed that Vance had set no ground rules for the interview — meaning that they could ask him absolutely anything and he had no advance knowledge of what they might want to talk about — and that he&#8217;d agreed to those terms without contest.
Teta then said the most important thing about the interview was the &#8220;bar&#8221; it set — meaning that any future presidential or vice presidential candidate would be unwise to refuse an appearance on &#8220;The View.&#8221;
&#8220;They all will. They have to stop here. They want the female vote,&#8221; Behar declared, suggesting that candidates could only access American female voters through their show.
Teta said he&#8217;d like to invite Secretary of State Marco Rubio to appear, and Behar shot back, &#8220;We&#8217;ll put him on with Ana Navarro, that will be interesting to watch. Talk about a cage match.&#8221;

&#8220;The View&#8221; co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin blew a gasket on Tuesday&#8217;s show, reacting to President Donald Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-and-mark-cubans-white-house-moment-takes-unexpected-turn?author=Amanda+Prestigiacomo&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=3&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Trump+And+Mark+Cuban’s+White+House+Moment+Takes+Unexpected+Turn">reducing the cost</a> of hundreds of prescription drugs for Americans.
Behar and Hostin railed about drugs being added to the federal government&#8217;s direct-to-consumer drug site, called TrumpRx, which now boasts more than 600 drugs. The pair claimed that Trump had bad intentions, thereby discounting the achievement.
&#8220;First of all, you lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas,&#8221; Behar said. &#8220;Once Trump puts his name on prescriptions, we’re all going to die, okay? He put his name on the Trump Shuttle, the Trump Vodka, Trump University, the Trump Hotel, and my favorite, the casinos that all went bankrupt.&#8221;
Hostin said she was in complete agreement with Behar. She called Trump a &#8220;failed businessman&#8221; and bizarrely excoriated the president for saying he wanted to make Americans &#8220;wealthy.&#8221; Trump &#8220;didn&#8217;t say &#8216;healthy,'&#8221; Hostin reasoned.
&#8220;This is not a well-intentioned person,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;He is not doing this out of the goodness of his heart!&#8221;
The peculiar take landed the pair at odds with some of their fellow leftist hosts. Sara Haines, for example, praised the price drop for Americans, even if she dislikes Trump.
“This helps people,&#8221; she said. &#8220;People who are literally suffering from illness and cannot pay for their medicine.”
In return, Hostin called her &#8220;so naive.&#8221;
Alyssa Farah Griffin also pushed back on the naysayers. &#8220;A medication I had to take for IVF is a tenth of the price on TrumpRx,&#8221; she explained.
&#8220;Whatever, it’s tacky that his name is on it,&#8221; Farah Griffin continued. &#8220;The average family, one third of Americans cut back on essential foods and utilities to be able to cover their prescription drug costs.&#8221;
&#8220;You’re not going to convince me that, just because Trump is involved, we should be like, ‘Screw it, don’t bring down prescription drugs,'&#8221; she added.

Joy Behar strained the imagination with her latest comparison, claiming on &#8220;The View&#8221; that ousted CNN anchor Don Lemon was just like the late World War II General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Behar recalled Eisenhower&#8217;s efforts to document the atrocities of the concentration camps — and then claimed that when Lemon shadowed protesters as they stormed a church in Minneapolis, he was simply making a similar effort to preserve history.

&#8220;So, I mean, all I can say is it&#8217;s in the Constitution, the right to protest,&#8221; Behar began, making no mention of the rights of the churchgoers to practice their religion without fear of intimidation and threats. She then pivoted to argue that Lemon — who was captured on video discussing the protest plans with one of the organizers before entering the church — was not there to protest anyway.
&#8220;And he wasn&#8217;t even there protesting. He was there as a journalist,&#8221; she insisted.
&#8220;Correct,&#8221; cohost Sunny Hostin agreed.
&#8220;And I think they want to use him as some kind of an example to intimidate other journalists,&#8221; Behar added, parroting the exact claim made by Lemon after he was arrested in connection with the protest.
&#8220;But, you know, I was reading something the other day about World War II, when the Americans liberated Dachau, after World War II, Dwight D. Eisenhower said take pictures of these concentration camps because years will go by and people will not believe this happened,&#8221; Behar continued. &#8220;So, this administration does not really like somebody like Don Lemon who has a camera, who has a position like we do in a way to speak to the people and tell them what really is going on.&#8221;
But Behar did not explain how Lemon&#8217;s video of protesters disrupting a church service aligned with the photos taken of Jewish Holocaust victims at Eisenhower&#8217;s behest.
&#8220;So, you know, God bless Dwight D. Eisenhower and Don Lemon,&#8221; she concluded.
Critics were not impressed with Behar&#8217;s conclusion, however.

Behar went on to claim that people loved &#8220;The View&#8221; for exactly that reason — and she called on the audience to call their representatives and say, &#8220;It&#8217;s time to do something about this guy, because he&#8217;s leading us into World War III.&#8221;
Sunny Hostin followed Behar, claiming that Trump was only after Greenland because he wanted the rare earth minerals — and that people should take him seriously when he postured about taking the island nation by force.
Behar interrupted then, claiming that she blamed Congress because she believed the president was not well and held them responsible for failing to do something about it. The 25th Amendment was mentioned, but as Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out, that would have to come from the president&#8217;s own cabinet.

The hosts of ABC’s “The View” suggested on Tuesday that President Donald Trump was allowing the government shutdown to persist because he was afraid that if members of Congress returned from recess, they would eventually vote to release the Epstein files.
Regular host Joy Behar raised the possibility on the midday talk show, arguing that Trump and Republicans did not want to swear in Democratic Arizona Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva — who has said that she would vote to release the files — and the ongoing government shutdown gave them cover while they refused to do so.
“Well, tell them why they&#8217;re at recess – somebody — you tell them why,” Behar began.
“Why don&#8217;t you tell them, Joy?” Sunny Hostin pressed.
“Because I can&#8217;t remember the woman&#8217;s name,” Behar admitted.
“Oh, Marjorie Taylor Greene,” Hostin guessed.

“No, not her,” Behar replied. “The one who&#8217;s – the one who will vote to expose the Epstein files — they don&#8217;t want her to be confirmed &#8230;”
“Oh, the — Arizona,” Sara Haines said. “They don&#8217;t want to swear her in, although earlier in the year they did swear in two Republicans during recess, so it can be done.”
“So you think this is all about the Epstein files?” Hostin asked.
“A lot of it, yeah,” Behar replied. “It could be the thing that brings the whole thing down.”

Behar continued to raise wild theories during the following segment, asserting that air travel was going to get much worse if the shutdown continued.
“You know what I think? The airports – everybody — everybody&#8217;s flying, everybody&#8217;s flying,” she said. “People who have a lot of money are flying, people who are middle class are flying, a lot of people are flying. And when they start sitting – when they have to go from, you know, Tampa to Miami, and it takes 24 hours, they&#8217;re not going to be happy.”

The hosts of ABC’s “The View” appeared baffled as to why the leaders of the United States military might need to be in peak physical condition, and spent much of Tuesday’s broadcast complaining that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was demanding physical fitness from his troops.
The cohosts were responding to the unprecedented meeting held in Quantico on Tuesday morning, during which Hegseth spoke directly to hundreds of the military’s top brass — all of whom had been directed to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/president-trump-will-attend-militarys-unprecedented-all-hands-meeting">attend that meeting</a> in person.
Complaining that Hegseth’s remarks described a “very retro vision for our armed forces,” cohost Joy Behar demanded to know why Hegseth was “obsessed with fat?”

Cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin suggested that the changes weren’t needed because the military was already in great shape — despite data indicating that more than two-thirds of current active military members are considered overweight, and 22% are considered “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fit-not-fat-pete-hegseth-promises-standard-overhaul-after-unacceptable-troop-fitness-report">obese.</a>”
“I’m very lost on the fact that it seems like it’s become a Republican Party position out of nowhere that the U.S. Military is weak. We’re the greatest fighting force in the history of mankind,” she claimed.
Griffin later suggested that Hegseth was critical of generals like former Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley because he wanted to make himself feel better about his own service.

Cohost Sara Haines claimed there was a “recruiting lull” despite record-breaking recruitment numbers coming from every branch of service, and then complained that the security of the military was at risk because the meeting was held in person. She also whined about the cost of bringing them in for the meeting, and then complained that they’d done it just to tell the generals to shave and go back to “hazing” trainees.
Hostin was “befuddled” by the move to “toughen physical standards” and complained about Hegseth’s plan to reinstate higher standards.
“I don’t understand how that was supposed to be an uplifting message for our military,” she said.

Behar pivoted back to Trump, adding, “If you guys think we can survive another 3 1/2 years of this, I think you’re delusional &#8230; every day this guy is undoing something in this country that we value.”
During his remarks, Hegseth declared that all military members — from new privates to four-star generals – would be expected to meet the prescribed height and weight standards and pass physical training (PT) tests on a regular basis. He also stated that “fat troops” in formations and “fat generals at the Pentagon” were a thing of the past and would no longer be tolerated: “It’s a bad look.”

Joy Behar claimed on Friday that democracy had simply stopped &#8220;working&#8221; when President Donald Trump took office after winning the 2024 presidential election.
Citing a poll that said a majority of Americans believed democracy &#8220;wasn&#8217;t working,&#8221; Behar insisted that everything had been fine when former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden had been in the Oval Office, and that everything had obviously gone sideways because of Trump.
&#8220;So if you&#8217;re worried about where the country is heading, you&#8217;re not alone,&#8221; Behar began. &#8220;Seventy-nine percent of American voters think that the U.S. is in a state of political crisis, and more than half think democracy isn&#8217;t working.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s funny, under Obama and Biden it was working. All of a sudden it&#8217;s not working. Gee, what happened?!&#8221; she asked.

Joy Behar said on Thursday that she had a mind to just stop paying federal income taxes altogether if President Donald Trump and his administration continue to make cuts with regard to what those taxes will ultimately fund.
Behar joined her cohosts on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; for a discussion about the recently passed &#8220;Big Beautiful Bill&#8221; — and the cuts that came with it — and argued that she should only have to continue paying state taxes &#8220;if they want the states to take care of everything.&#8221;

&#8220;The View&#8221; host Joy Behar complained about President Donald Trump&#8217;s decision to strike Iranian nuclear sites, first objecting to the fact that he did not exhaust the two week window he&#8217;d set for such an attack, and then to the fact that he had not warned Iran ahead of time that he planned to carry out the attacks.
Behar addressed the topic on Monday&#8217;s broadcast of the midday talk show, along with her regular cohosts — and ABC News chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl pushed back when she suggested that the Trump administration had been out of line in attacking the Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities.
&#8220;So on Thursday, the White House said that Trump was going to make a decision on Iran in the next two weeks, that&#8217;s what he said, remember that?&#8221; Behar began. &#8220;Okay, he was going to give diplomatic negotiations more time to play out. And then less than 48 hours later, this attack was underway. So what changed and what was he actually trying to accomplish here?&#8221;
&#8220;Look, the two weeks measure was clearly a little bit of a head fake,&#8221; Karl replied. &#8220;I mean, not entirely. I wouldn&#8217;t say the decision was finally made. All indications are he didn&#8217;t actually make the decision to so-called pull the trigger until Saturday &#8230; and then the attack commenced.&#8221;
Karl went on to say that he really believed Trump wanted &#8220;a Kim Jong Un moment&#8221; where Iran&#8217;s Supreme Leader came to the table and made an eleventh-hour deal, but that he made the decision to move forward with an attack when it was clear that would not happen.

“I am so proud and happy that I was embraced by the American people,” Schwarzenegger replied.
“Every single thing — if it’s my bodybuilding career, if it’s my acting career, becoming governor, the beautiful family that I’ve created — all of this is because of America. And so this is why I’m so, so happy [to] see first hand that this is the greatest country in the world and it is the land of opportunity.”
Schwarzenegger then announced that he will deliver a speech at Mount Vernon to celebrate the 250th birthday of America, where some immigrants will be sworn in as U.S. citizens, and that he is excited to celebrate the benefits of immigration.
“The key thing also is, at the same time, that you’ve got to do things [legally],” he clarified. “That is the important thing. Those people that are doing illegal things in America — and they’re the foreigners — they are not smart.”
As he spoke, multiple hosts attempted to interrupt him, with Sunny Hostin even placing her hand on Schwarzenegger’s arm as though she wanted him to stop speaking.
“When you come to America, you’re a guest and you have to behave like a guest,” Schwarzenegger stated. “Like, when I go to someone’s house and I’m a guest, I will do everything I can to keep things clean and to make my bed and to do everything that is the right thing to do rather than committing a crime or being abusive or something like that.”
Schwarzenegger has criticized the Trump administration and previously endorsed Kamala Harris’ presidential run, remaining one of the few Republicans to oppose Donald Trump. However, his rhetoric on “The View” conflicts with mainstream leftist views on the immigration crisis.
“The important thing is, when you become an immigrant, to think about — okay, I go to America because I want to use America for the great opportunities that America has in education, in jobs, [and in] creating a family. … Then you have to think about — okay, if I get all of those things from America, then I have to give something back. You have a responsibility as an immigrant to give back to America and to pay back America and to go and do something for your community for no money whatsoever. … Make this country a better place.” 
The hosts attempted to interrupt, but could not be heard after the audience erupted into applause.
