<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Full House” star </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/john-stamos"><span style="font-weight: 400;">John Stamos</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> recently discussed his experience with the church of </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/scientology"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Scientology</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, saying he got kicked out of a meeting when he was a teenager for &#8220;f***ing around so much.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 61-year-old </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment"><span style="font-weight: 400;">actor</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> made the revelation on an episode of the “Friends in High Places” </span><a href="https://www.newsweek.com/entertainment/celebrity-news/john-stamos-rejected-church-scientology-1945862"><span style="font-weight: 400;">podcast</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, saying he went to a meeting due to the influence of an attractive woman and his admiration for John Travolta.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;With me, I was in an acting class and there was a hot girl, [who] said to me, &#8216;You know we&#8217;re all meeting at this [place] on Hollywood Boulevard, you should come after [class],'&#8221; Stamos said. “Seeing ‘Grease’ was like, I wanna be that. I wanted to be John Travolta, I still do. Well, minus the whatever it is that they do,&#8221; he added.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;I was working at my dad’s restaurant at the time and I said, ‘Dad, I gotta go.’ So, I went and it was the Scientology building,&#8221; the actor continued.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The “Full House” alum was 17 at the time and recalls being at the meeting and encountering an &#8220;E-Meter,&#8221; which the organization’s website describes as “a calibrated device used for measuring extremely low voltages and psyche, the human soul, spirit or mind.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Stamos said he was joking around and pretended to use the “E-Meter” like it was a phone. &#8220;I was doing a Peabody and Sherman [impression] and they didn&#8217;t like that,&#8221; Stamos said. &#8220;I was just f***ing around so much, they said, &#8216;Get out [and] get going.  They just kicked me out.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Podcast host Matt Friend suggested Stamos was &#8220;too annoying&#8221; to become a member of the organization.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;That’s pretty bad, I must have been terrible,&#8221; Stamos agreed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The actor also discussed his relationship with Scientology in his 2023 memoir, “If You Had Told Me.” </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The latest film in the &#8220;Wonka&#8221; franchise has been very successful globally as well, earning a total of $629 million worldwide. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 69-year-old recently discussed what happened while attending the London premiere of the Disney+ short </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/movies" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">film</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> “The Shepherd.” In the movie, a pilot loses electrical control of the plane he’s flying.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;I actually experienced a total electrical failure, not in a Vampire, but in a corporate jet over Washington D.C.,” Travolta said during a Q&amp;A about the film, per </span><a href="https://variety.com/2023/tv/global/john-travolta-pilot-the-shepherd-frederick-forsyth-1235806703/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Variety</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. “So when I read [Frederick Forsyth&#8217;s book of the same name], it resonated even more because of this experience I had personally had.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I knew what it felt like to absolutely think you’re going to die,” he continued. “I had two good jet engines, but I had no instruments, no electric, nothing. And I thought it was over.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A report about the incident described how investigators found &#8220;the threat of a mid-air collision was very real&#8221; at the time, according to </span><a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1995/03/26/stayin-alive/1b623dd6-7fb0-4f96-8573-b268d8fff3c2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Washington Post</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. The report said a Boeing 727 headed for New York almost collided with Travolta’s plane, resulting in flights being suspended across four airports.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“And then as if by a miracle, we descended as per the rules to a lower altitude,&#8221; Travolta said. &#8220;I saw that Washington D.C. monument and identified that Washington National Airport was right next to it, and I made a landing just like [pilot Freddie Hooke] does in the film.”</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Frederick Forsyth’s 1975 novella, upon which the film is based, tells the story of Freddie Hooke (Ben Radcliffe), a young Royal Air Force pilot flying home for Christmas across the North Sea. After his plane has a total electrical failure, a pilot (Travolta) appears in the sky to guide him to safety, per Variety. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Travolta said Radcliffe “so beautifully” portrayed Freddie’s emotions in the movie. “He captured that despair when you think you’re actually going to die. And I had my family on board and I said ‘This is it, I can’t believe I’m gonna die in this plane.’”</span></p>

<p>John Travolta honored Olivia Newton-John, his co-star in the 1978 hit movie &#8220;Grease,&#8221; in a commercial from T-Mobile that will air during Super Bowl LVII.</p>
<p>In the one-minute <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSO-Whn2sCQ">ad</a>, viewers see the 68-year-old actor donning a black leather jacket and white T-shirt reminiscent of the outfit worn by his character Danny Zuko from the classic movie. Travolta appeared in the film alongside Newton-John, who played Sandy.</p>
<p>&#8220;Scrubs&#8221; actors Zach Braff and Donald Faison join Travolta in singing a song about the phone company set to the tune of &#8220;Summer Nights,&#8221; which Travolta and Newton-John famously sang together in the movie. The trio also replicates similar moves from the famous movie that fans will recognize.</p>

<p>The four-time Grammy award-winning singer died in August 2022 after a long battle with breast cancer, as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-olivia-newton-john-grease-star-and-grammy-winner-dead-at-73">The Daily Wire</a> previously reported. She was 73.</p>
<p>In 1992, Newton-John was first diagnosed with cancer and beat it. It returned in 2013, went into remission, and came back once again in 2017.</p>
<p>Following news of her death, celebrities shared <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/john-travolta-other-notable-figures-respond-to-death-of-olivia-newton-john">loving tributes</a> to Newton-John. In a touching post on Instagram, Travolta wrote that he was her &#8220;Danny&#8221; forever.</p>
