Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) repeatedly refused to answer questions during an interview over the weekend about why he and Vice President Kamala Harris have flip-flopped on the issue of fracking.
Fetterman struggled to dodge the questions that he faced during a Sunday interview on NBC News&#8217; &#8220;Meet The Press&#8221; with Kristen Welker ahead of November&#8217;s elections.
&#8220;Vice President Harris, as you know, once supported a ban on fracking when she was running for president in 2020,&#8221; Welker said. &#8220;She even sued the Obama administration to prevent fracking off California&#8217;s coast. Now, she says she will not ban the practice as President.&#8221;
&#8220;Why should voters trust that that is really what the Vice President believes?&#8221; Welker asked.
Fetterman responded: &#8220;So strange why we just keep talking about fracking. Now, back in 2020 I said that that might be an issue, but it&#8217;s not going to be a defining issue. And now, in 2024 we&#8217;re still trying to talk about fracking. And now the other side, they&#8217;re talking about eating cats, and geese, and dogs, and saying absurd things, and talking about how, if Trump doesn&#8217;t win he said that, you know, you&#8217;d have to blame the Jews on that. And just absurd things. Now, like, having a serious policy conversation when the other side is just absolutely on fire. And here’s where we are, and here we are also, that it&#8217;s going to be very close in Pennsylvania, and it&#8217;s not going to be defined by fracking.&#8221;
Welker then highlighted some of Fetterman&#8217;s past anti-fracking remarks in 2016 and 2018 when he called it a &#8220;stain&#8221; on the state and said that he did not support it at all.
&#8220;But then in 2022, you said you absolutely support fracking,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Senator, what exactly do you like about fracking now?&#8221;
Fetterman responded: &#8220;It&#8217;s strange for some weird &#8216;gotcha,&#8217; kind of taking quotes out of context. And you know, here I am now, I&#8217;m a United States Senator, and I won by five points, a record margin back in &#8217;22. And again, it might be an issue in fracking. And I fully support fracking. So does the Vice President Harris. And now if you want to have a serious conversation about policy, then I would challenge Trump and Vance to have one, other than talking about eating pets.&#8221;
Welker again pressed Fetterman about why he flipped on the issue to which he only responded: &#8220;Uh-oh. &#8216;They&#8217;re eating dogs, they&#8217;re eating cats.&#8217; You know, again, so okay. Yes, any more on fracking? I think –&#8221;

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) claimed during an interview over the weekend that the Democrat Party&#8217;s extreme rhetoric targeting former President Donald Trump has not contributed to the assassination attempts on his life.
Fetterman made the remarks during a Sunday interview on NBC News&#8217; &#8220;Meet The Press&#8221; with Kristen Welker after there have been two serious attempts on Trump&#8217;s life, including one last weekend that involved a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/alleged-would-be-assassin-was-democrat-donor-with-criminal-record">Democrat donor</a> who was hiding on Trump&#8217;s golf course with a rifle.
Welker brought up remarks from Trump&#8217;s vice presidential running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), who said that the attempts were being incited by extreme rhetoric from Democrats, who have for years labeled Trump as an existential threat to democracy, the U.S., and the world.
&#8220;The big difference between conservatives and liberals is that no one has tried to kill Kamala Harris in the last couple of months, and two people now have tried to kill Donald Trump, in the last couple of months,&#8221; Vance said. &#8220;I&#8217;d say that&#8217;s pretty strong evidence that the left needs to tone down the rhetoric and needs to cut this crap out. Somebody&#8217;s going to get hurt by it.&#8221;
Fetterman dismissed Vance&#8217;s concerns about how extreme the remarks are coming from the Democrat Party and mocked him.
&#8220;Who&#8217;s actually listening to what Vance says? It&#8217;s been months already. No one&#8217;s really listening to him anymore. You know, he has developed a kind of reputation to say dumb things, pointless things, and offend everybody,&#8221; Fetterman said. &#8220;And he&#8217;s been picked as the most unpopular pick in history. But no one&#8217;s listening to him. I&#8217;m certainly not. And here we are right now.&#8221;
Welker pushed back on Fetterman, asking him to address the substance of what he said about extreme rhetoric leading to political violence.
&#8220;Now, that&#8217;s absolutely absurd,&#8221; Fetterman claimed. &#8220;Every Democrat condemned the assassination attempts, and I did as well, too. And you know, they&#8217;re talking about eating the dogs and saying outlandish kind of things. Now, let&#8217;s just have a serious conversation about this election, not talking about the kind of empty kind of rhetoric from somebody like JD Vance.&#8221;
In the next breath he said that he said that he supported Vice President Kamala Harris saying that she would shoot someone if they broke into her house, something that her campaign later <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/news/harris-comments-on-shooting-intruder-were-just-a-joke-campaign-adviser-says/">claimed</a> was a joke.

Some of President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden&#8217;s</a> diehard supporters made it clear on Sunday that they were not happy with the &#8220;geniuses that pushed the most consequential President of our lifetime out.&#8221;
President Biden made the official announcement in a letter on Sunday, saying that he planned to &#8220;stand down&#8221; and not accept the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination. A short time later, he endorsed his Vice President Kamala Harris. But although the letter came from Biden himself, many believe that he was pressured to step aside by a handful of high-dollar donors and powerful members of his own party.
Several of them took to X to air their frustrations — and to predict what would happen if the Democratic Party chose to run with anyone other than Harris, who has already announced her plan to run in Biden&#8217;s place.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett was quick to call them out, saying, &#8220;Well I hope the geniuses that pushed the most consequential President of our lifetime out, have a plan.&#8221;

Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman, whose staunch support of Israel has clashed with President Joe Biden repeatedly undermining Israel’s war effort against Hamas, nevertheless defended Biden remaining as the party’s presidential nominee after Biden’s disastrous performance against former President Trump in the presidential debate last week.
Speaking of Democrats who have called for Biden to step down from being the party’s 2024 presidential nominee, Fox News’ Shannon Bream asked, “Are you worried about how that might impact President Biden’s ability to shore up the Democrats and to win re-election, knowing those are the voices are calling; some of them have got a movement called Abandon Biden; they supported him in the past and now they’re actively campaigning against him?”

Fetterman Slams Dems Abandoning Biden: ‘Dumbest S*** I’ve Ever Heard’

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) hit the back of another car on an interstate over the weekend, causing the driver of the other car to be treated at a hospital for their injuries.
The incident happened just before 8 a.m. on Sunday as the two were traveling in the area of I-70 and I-68 in Hancock, Maryland.
Local media reports said that Fetterman was driving a Chevrolet Traverse and that he struck the back of a Chevrolet Impala.
Fetterman and his wife, Gisele Fetterman, were both taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries. The senator reportedly had a minor shoulder injury.
The driver of the Impala was also taken to the hospital in an ambulance to be treated for their injuries. No status update was available on the driver.
Police have not officially said what caused the car accident as the incident is currently under investigation.
&#8220;On Sunday morning, John and Gisele were involved in a car accident with another driver,&#8221; Fetterman&#8217;s office claimed in a statement, <a href="https://www.fox29.com/news/sen-john-fetterman-wife-involved-sunday-morning-crash-maryland">according</a> to FOX 29. &#8220;Out of an abundance of caution, they were evaluated at a local hospital. John was treated for a bruised shoulder and they were discharged that afternoon. They are doing well and happy to be back in Braddock.&#8221;
Fetterman has struggled with various health-related issues after he suffered a serious stroke in 2022, including crippling depression that led to him staying in a hospital.
During his campaign, Fetterman repeatedly refused to debate Dr. Mehmet Oz (R) as he sought to limit voters’ exposure to him following his stroke, which has impacted aspects of his cognition, hearing, and speech. He later debated Oz right before the election but did not perform well.
The Washington Post Editorial Board slammed his campaign at the time for “concealing from the public for two days after his stroke that he had been hospitalized.”
“It waited weeks longer to reveal a more complete picture of his medical history, including that he had been diagnosed in 2017 with cardiomyopathy. Mr. Fetterman had a pacemaker with a defibrillator implanted after the stroke. The campaign’s response to questions about Mr. Fetterman’s health is to point to a doctor’s note, released more than 14 weeks ago, which said ‘he should be able to campaign and serve in the U.S. Senate without a problem’ if he takes his medications and exercises.”
The Editorial Board said that Fetterman pointing to a 4-month-old doctor’s note was “not good enough” and that he “should release his medical records for independent review.”

Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/john-fetterman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">John Fetterman</a> (D-PA) explained his transformation this week from being on the far-Left of the Democrat Party to becoming a center-left Democrat who has much more moderate views than many of his colleagues.
Fetterman made the remarks during a Friday appearance on Bill Maher&#8217;s &#8220;Real Time&#8221; show on HBO while Maher was reflecting on how Fetterman has changed ever since he had his stroke.
&#8220;When I see you, especially the last couple of years, you speak so freely. You speak like what politicians who I get on this show who aren&#8217;t in politics anymore, the ones who are out of office when they can be honest, and that&#8217;s the way you speak now and it&#8217;s a beautiful thing,&#8221; Maher said. &#8220;You speak for a lot of Democrats that are afraid to say a lot of that stuff.&#8221;
Maher then asked Fetterman if his near-death experience from his stroke played a role in his political shift.
&#8220;Absolutely. There&#8217;s a line from the first &#8216;Batman,&#8217; Joker&#8217;s like ‘I’ve been dead once already. It&#8217;s very liberating,'&#8221; Fetterman responded. &#8220;It&#8217;s freeing in a way. And I just think after beating all of that, I just really [want to] be able to say the things that I have to really believe in and not be afraid of if there&#8217;s any kind of blowback.&#8221;
Fetterman said that progressive-wing of the Democrat Party left him, not the other way around.
&#8220;After what happened on October 7, I really knew that whole progressive stack would be blasted apart and there would not be any kind of way how the Democrats are going to be able to reply to that kind of response,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And I really decided early on that I believe that was gonna be the right side with Israel throughout all of that. &#8230; Democrats would continue to peel away and kind of walk away from standing with Israel on that.&#8221;
Fetterman also mocked far-Left activists: &#8220;And even in Philadelphia, the Queers for Palestine blocked the Pride Parade in Philadelphia, and I never saw that on the Bingo card.&#8221;

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) slammed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) during an interview over the weekend after she suggested late last week that he was a bully for mocking childish antics that played out in the U.S. House that involved AOC.
Fetterman had commented on the drama that unfolded on the House Oversight Committee when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) got in a verbal altercation after Crockett insulted Greene’s intelligence and Greene responded by insulting her appearance. The incident quickly escalated from there, with other members getting involved, including AOC.
“In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show,” Fetterman posted on X. “Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show.”
Ocasio-Cortez responded by lashing out at Fetterman, and appeared to take a shot at his mental fitness for office, calling him “confused,” which comes after he suffered a serious stroke in 2022 and has had lingering issues related to speech and hearing ever since.
“I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a ‘both sides’ issue,” AOC posted. “But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one.”
“And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too,” she continued. “Enjoy your Friday.”
Fetterman responded to AOC&#8217;s remarks during a Sunday appearance on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; with Jake Tapper when asked about the situation.
&#8220;Oh, well, of course, that‘s absurd,&#8221; Fetterman said. &#8220;I was just simply responding to the kind of chaos and everything that Rep. Greene started as well.&#8221;
&#8220;And if everyone on the committee was proud of what they‘ve produced, they are entitled to their opinion or if they feel that this is the kind of a video that you want to send to a classroom of 8th grade civics kind of students across America,&#8221; he added. &#8220;That&#8217;s their choice.&#8221;

Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/john-fetterman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">John Fetterman</a> (D-PA) triggered Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Friday when he criticized a congressional hearing during which she recently made news after she got into a verbal spat with other female lawmakers.
Fetterman commented on the childish drama that unfolded yesterday on the House Oversight Committee when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) got in a verbal altercation after Crockett insulted Greene&#8217;s intelligence and Greene responded by insulting her appearance.
The incident quickly escalated from there, with other members getting involved, including AOC.

Ocasio-Cortez responded by lashing out at Fetterman, and appeared to take a shot at his mental fitness for office, calling him &#8220;confused,&#8221; which comes after he suffered a serious stroke in 2022 and has had lingering issues related to speech and hearing ever since.

Fetterman Triggers AOC With Criticism Over ‘Jerry Springer’-Esque Congressional Hearing

A group of bipartisan U.S. lawmakers is warning that the International Criminal Court (ICC) is on the verge of destroying its credibility if it issues arrest warrants for Israeli officials for their execution of the country&#8217;s war against Hamas in response to the terrorist group&#8217;s October 7 massacre.
Israeli officials reportedly believe that the ICC is readying arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Israel Defense Forces chief of staff Herzi Halevi.
The ICC is not recognized by many countries, including the United States, Russia, China, India, and many more.
A Biden administration official <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/04/29/netanyahu-biden-icc-arrest-warrants-war-crimes">told</a> Axios: &#8220;As we have publicly said many times, the ICC has no jurisdiction in this situation and we do not support its investigation.&#8221;
U.S. officials say that it&#8217;s not clear whether the ICC is going to issue arrest warrants, the report said, but added that the organization was under pressure from NGOs and a few member states that did not like how Israel was executing its war against Hamas.
Axios <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/04/29/icc-congress-netanyahu-israel-gaza">reported</a> separately that some U.S. lawmakers are preparing legislation to sanction ICC officials involved in the investigation.
Netanyahu said on Friday that &#8220;Israel will never accept any attempt by the ICC to undermine its inherent right of self-defense.&#8221;
&#8220;The threat to seize the soldiers and officials of the Middle East’s only democracy and the world’s only Jewish state is outrageous. We will not bow to it,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Israel will continue to wage to victory our just war against genocidal terrorists and we will never stop defending ourselves. While the ICC will not affect Israel’s actions, it would set a dangerous precedent that threatens the soldiers and officials of all democracies fighting savage terrorism and wanton aggression.&#8221;

House Speaker Mike Johnson released a statement on Monday calling the ICC&#8217;s reported move to pursue arrest warrants against Israeli officials &#8220;disgraceful&#8221; and said that the warrants were &#8220;illegitimate&#8221;.
&#8220;Such a lawless action by the ICC would directly undermine U.S. national security interests,&#8221; he said. &#8220;If unchallenged by the Biden administration, the ICC could create and assume unprecedented power to issue arrest warrants against American political leaders, American diplomats, and American military personnel, thereby endangering our country’s sovereign authority.&#8221;
&#8220;Instead of wrongly targeting Israel, the ICC should pursue charges against Iran and its terror proxies, including Hamas, for engaging in horrific war crimes,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;The Biden Administration must immediately and unequivocally demand that the ICC stand down and the U.S. should use every available tool to prevent such an abomination.&#8221;

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) also slammed the ICC, posting on X: &#8220;Even though Hamas is the undeniable cause of the war in Gaza, the ICC might target Israel as though it were aggressor, as though Hamas had never committed October 7th.&#8221;
&#8220;The issuance of arrest warrants would represent the culmination of a long process of criminalizing the world’s only Jewish State,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;The weaponization of international law—in the service of terror—cannot be allowed to stand.&#8221;
Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) posted on X: &#8220;For months, families of Oct. 7th victims urged the ICC to arrest Hamas leaders for the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Instead the ICC apparently considers warrants on Israeli leaders for legitimate self-defense. Such a decision would be outrageous &amp; I condemn it.&#8221;
&#8220;The ICC has failed to go after those responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths in #Syria, #Sudan and #Tigray; going after Israel will turn the International Criminal Court into a kangaroo court,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;@POTUS must condemn this &amp; I know Congress will ensure consequences for such an absurd decision.&#8221;
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also weighed in on the matter, writing: &#8220;The ICC is on the verge of throwing in with genocidal terrorists and against a democracy responding to acts of terror. They want Israel to accept suicidal terms for a ceasefire that will not work. It would be the end of the ICC&#8217;s credibility. The absolute minimum response from the US if the ICC targets Israel would be sanctions against the Court and its officials.&#8221;

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) slammed college students involved in pro-Hamas protests on campuses across the U.S. over the last couple of weeks, saying that the &#8220;germ of antisemitism&#8221; was present.
Fetterman made the remarks on Sunday during an interview with NewsNation about the ongoing protests, many of which have turned violent and led to hundreds of arrests.
&#8220;It’s a great American value to protest, but I don’t believe living in a pup tent for Hamas is really helpful,” Fetterman said, adding that it was &#8220;very clear that there is a germ of antisemitism in all of these protests.&#8221;
Fetterman then highlighted anti-Semitic remarks made by one of the student leaders at Columbia University who said that &#8220;Zionists don&#8217;t deserve to live.&#8221;
He said that the way that the student spoke, and then their attempt to explain themselves, was similar to the kinds of rhetoric and excuses coming from the college presidents themselves which has created the toxic culture on their campuses.
“I support peace and I support a two-state solution. But you know, if the stuff hits the fan, I’m going to lean in on Israel. And that’s exactly what I’ve done,” he said. “Everyone has the right to defend yourself as a nation. But you also have the right, I believe, to go after and eliminate Hamas, or at least to force them to surrender.”
“Hamas could end it right now, immediately,&#8221; he added. &#8220;They could release the last hostage, and they could surrender and all of the misery and the death and the destruction ends right there too.”
Fetterman also said that the only way that peace would be achieved is for Hamas to be fully neutralized so they cannot repeat what they did on October 7.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) slammed President Joe Biden over the weekend for &#8220;not standing firmly with Israel&#8221; after Iran launched an unprecedented attack on the country on Saturday.
Fetterman made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CNN while discussing the 185 one-way suicide drones, 110 surface-to-surface missiles, and 36 cruise missiles that Iran directed at Israel.
He said that it was &#8220;astonishing that we are not standing firmly with Israel, and there should never be any kinds of conditions and all that.&#8221;
&#8220;When a nation can launch hundreds of drones towards Israel, I&#8217;m not going to be talking about conditions — ever,&#8221; he said, later adding that he supported Israel killing the Iranian general in Syria a couple of weeks ago.
