People are lying about Charlie Kirk — and it may be they are trying to justify the violence against him. 
If your response to someone getting killed in the political realm is, “Man, too bad they were killed, but …” — if your response to that is to slander him by attributing to him beliefs he did not have, then you are part of the problem and fomenting the permission structure for violence. Charlie was as normie as they come. 
Jemele Hill, who has just made a joke of herself — it is shocking to me that at any point she was taken seriously — said Charlie believed in the <a href="https://x.com/JasonJournoDC/status/1966930974228328880">innate superiority</a> of white people. 
She is a liar. A liar. Anybody who knew Charlie, who consumed Charlie&#8217;s content, knows this isn’t true. It is an overt, complete lie, soup to nuts. Charlie literally fought a rhetorical war, a flame war with the Groypers, who do believe in white superiority. He fought to keep them out of his movement. It was called the Groyper Wars in 2019. I remember it because I was there.
“The reason he was labeled a white supremacist is because he believed in the superiority of white people, which is why he said that he would be concerned if he saw a black pilot, which is why he said that he questioned the brain processing of brilliant minds such as Joy-Ann Reid and Ketanji Brown Jackson, because he ultimately believed in the superiority of white people,” Hill stated.
She is such a liar. What he said about the black pilots was — in what is a commonly-made argument — that affirmative action assumes that black people need extra points in order to achieve the same result as a person who is not black. And what that does is seed doubt in the minds of people, who then see black people in particular slots, and that&#8217;s unfair to black people.
That was the argument that Charlie was making, that black people aren&#8217;t inferior and therefore don&#8217;t need extra points to become pilots, for example. They don’t need DEI to become good pilots. And when you stack DEI on top of the meritocracy, what you end up with is a false perception of the inferiority of particular peoples.
What Charlie said was &#8220;anti-racist.&#8221;
As far as his point about Ketanji Brown Jackson or Joy Reid not being particularly bright, he was correct, because they are not. It turns out they&#8217;re a bunch of white people who are also dumb. These happen to be black people who are dumb. Who cares?
Charlie didn&#8217;t do that because of their race; he said it because they are truly dumb.
Don Lemon — who couldn&#8217;t hold down that job over at CNN and who now has a viewership of only my viewers  — because his only viewership is when we play his clips on my show — was very upset with all the tributes being paid to Charlie. He tore into Charlie, saying, “The things that came out of Charlie Kirk&#8217;s mouth were many. Much of it was hurtful, discriminatory, ignorant. And I&#8217;ll stop there, to say the least.”
If Don Lemon says so, it must be false.
A pastor named Howard-John Wesley at the Alfred Street Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., <a href="https://x.com/etanthomas36/status/1967311612559413483">went viral</a> over the course of the last 48 hours for issuing a massive rebuke of Charlie, yelling: 
<blockquote>But I’m overwhelmed, seeing the flags of the United States of America at half-staff, calling this nation to honor and venerate a man who was an unapologetic racist and spent all of his life sowing seeds of division and hate into this land. And hearing people with selective rage, who are mad about Charlie Kirk but didn’t give a damn about Melissa Hortman and her husband when they were shot down in their home, tell me I ought to have compassion for the death of a man who had no respect for my own life. I am sorry, but there is nowhere in Bible where we are taught to honor evil. And how you die does not redeem how you lived.</blockquote>
How disgusting. Truly disgusting. Nothing he said is true. It’s this kind of rhetoric, calling Charlie “evil,” — not ISIS, not Hamas — that is all part and parcel of the far-Left attempt to paint everyone on the Right as the worst version of evil.
Longtime Washington Post writer Karen Attia was fired after falsely quoting Charlie. She accused Charlie of <a href="https://karenattiah.substack.com/p/the-washington-post-fired-me-but">saying</a>, “Black women do not have the brain processing power to be taken seriously. You have to go steal a white person’s slot.”
There should be consequences for saying vile things in the real world. We have to be pretty careful about where we apply those consequences — but we shouldn&#8217;t pretend that there should be no consequences in the real world.
And lying about Charlie in the wake of his death is truly despicable.

Last week, ESPN anchor Sage Steele went on former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler’s podcast and had a wide-ranging conversation. 
The two discussed ESPN’s vaccine mandate, former president Barack Obama, and women in media. 
And Sage finds herself in trouble as a result of every single topic covered. 
When discussing Obama, Steele said that she found it “fascinating” that Obama — who is biracial, as is Steele — identifies as a black man, as Steele identifies as both white and black. 
According to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/espn-anchor-fascinating-obama-identifies-as-black-though-black-dad-was-nowhere-to-be-found">The Daily Wire</a>, &#8220;The commentary was raised when Steele recalled a colleague asking her to &#8216;choose&#8217; to identify as either black or white, noting that Obama <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/10/05/sage-steele-president-obama-race-black/">identified</a> himself as black on the census back in 2010.&#8221;
“I think that’s fascinating considering his black dad was nowhere to be found, but his white mom and grandma raised him,” Steele said. “But hey, you do you. I’m going to do me.”
Steele also discussed women in the media, and how they deal with inappropriate comments from athletes, putting some of the onus on women to be aware of the way they present themselves. 
“When you dress like that, I’m not saying you deserve the gross comments, but you know what you’re doing when you’re putting that outfit on too,&#8221; Steele said. &#8220;Women are smart, so don’t play coy and put it all on the guys … and again, I’m not saying anyone deserves anything. But, we need to be responsible as women too, because we know what we’re doing when we put certain things on.”

As could be expected, the blue checkmark brigade on the Left pounced, including former ESPN anchor and The Atlantic writer Jemele Hill.

For those that are not aware, Hill has never been afraid to express her political opinions, calling former President Donald Trump a “white supremacist” in September 2017. 
Though Hill was not suspended for her comments on Trump, she was suspended for two weeks by the company in October 2017 after suggesting that people should boycott businesses associated with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones after he said that players who disrespected the flag would not play for the Cowboys. 
In February 2021, Hill called for the end of the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at sporting events, arguing that it has become a “weaponized” patriotic symbol, according to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jemele-hill-demands-an-end-to-weaponized-patriotic-symbols-at-sporting-events">The Daily Wire</a>.
Hill also wrote on the NBA&#8217;s decision to require Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to play the National Anthem before games, calling on the league to &#8220;revisit its anthem rule.&#8221;
“The Mavericks should have held their ground because playing the anthem shouldn’t be a pregame ritual in American sports,” Hill <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jemele-hill-demands-an-end-to-weaponized-patriotic-symbols-at-sporting-events">wrote</a>. “Not during a time when many people—including many athletes of color—are deeply uncomfortable with how patriotic symbols have been weaponized to undermine and diminish the humanity of Black and brown Americans.”
“Instead of forcing Cuban’s team to back down, the NBA as a whole should revisit its anthem rule. Other leagues should do the same. The ritual enforces a rote, narrow idea of patriotism—one that pro sports should be working to change, not uphold,” she continued.
Steele’s comments on her company’s vaccine policy also drew the ire of the Left. 
Steele weighed in on ESPN’s requirement for employees to be vaccinated, calling it “sick” and “scary.” 
“I work for a company that mandates it and I had until September 30th to get it done or I’m out,” Steele said.
“I respect everyone’s decision, I really do, but to mandate it is sick and it’s scary to me in many ways,” Steele continued. “I just, I’m not surprised it got to this point, especially with Disney, I mean a global company like that.”
According to <a href="https://frontofficesports.com/espn-anchor-sage-steele-removed-from-air/">Front Office Sports</a>, Steele will not appear on SportsCenter this week and will not be a host of the upcoming espnW: Women + Sports Summit. While FOS reports that Steele has tested positive for COVID, her recent comments on Cutler’s podcast are also playing a role in her absence.

Ousted ESPN Anchor Jemele Hill Attacks Sage Steele Over Comments On Obama, Women In Media: ‘Clown Behavior’

Jemele Hill, staff writer for The Atlantic and former ESPN commentator who sparked national controversy when <a href="https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2733368-donald-trump-asks-espn-to-apologize-for-jemele-hills-white-supremacist-comments">she referred</a> to President Donald Trump as a “white supremacist,” has called for an end to the singing of &#8220;The Star-Spangled Banner&#8221; at sporting events, arguing that it has become a &#8220;weaponized&#8221; patriotic symbol.
In another article for <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/02/why-pro-sports-should-skip-national-anthem/618027/">The Atlantic</a>, Hill lamented the NBA&#8217;s recent decision to enforce its policy on the National Anthem, reversing Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban&#8217;s decision to forgo having the anthem played ahead of games.
Playing the “The Star-Spangled Banner” at sporting events has become an empty gesture of patriotism — so empty that, when the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks quietly began skipping the ritual, 13 preseason and regular-season games passed before anyone noticed.
&#8220;The Mavericks should have held their ground, because playing the anthem shouldn’t be a pregame ritual in American sports,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;Not during a time when many people—including many athletes of color—are deeply uncomfortable with how patriotic symbols have been weaponized to undermine and diminish the humanity of Black and brown Americans.&#8221;

&#8220;The enshrinement of the anthem into sports ritual wasn’t entirely the result of teams’ or fans’ patriotic feelings,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;In 2015, the Republican Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake revealed that the NFL, Major League Baseball, and other pro leagues <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-nfls-tangled-ties-with-the-national-anthem-dont-run-deep/" data-omni-click="r'article',r'',d,r'intext',r'8',r'None'">have received millions of dollars</a> from the Defense Department for national-anthem performances, military-appreciation nights, and other activities promoting the military.&#8221;
Hill concluded that the enforcement of the &#8220;conservative definition of patriotism&#8221; in the wake of the Capitol Hill riot &#8220;just doesn’t seem right,&#8221; fearing that it will &#8220;embolden people who insist upon an exclusive form of patriotism.&#8221;
While Hill certainly takes issue with exclusive forms of patriotism, she has no issue with enforcing exclusive forms of American blackness. In 2020, when then-candidate Joe Biden said that black Trump supporters &#8220;ain&#8217;t black,&#8221; Hill said the comments were accurate.
“I don’t have a problem with the statement because he was clearly referring to this from a policy and track record standpoint. If you’re black and you support anti-black policies and positions, then that makes you …? You’re still technically black but you ain’t with us,” she tweeted.

&#8220;The View&#8221; co-host Sunny Hostin smeared Republican supporters of President Trump for quoting Martin Luther King Jr. on his birthday, accusing them of enabling &#8220;a racist president.&#8221;
In a long-winded monologue on the show Monday, Hostin reflected upon the age of Trump and the supposed persecution it brought to black Americans, citing the alleged blacklisting of National Anthem-kneeler Colin Kaepernick and the firing of former ESPN commentator Jemele Hill when she publicly called the president a white supremacist.
“I remember the time when someone like Jemele Hill came forward and called Donald Trump a racist and lost her job because of that, received death threats because of that,&#8221; said Hostin, as reported by <a href="https://www.rawstory.com/views-sunny-hostin-white-house-racists/">Raw Story</a>. &#8220;I remember Collin Kaepernick getting canceled because he stood up for people and stood up for the police brutality that Black men were experiencing. And remember that Dr. King was called an enemy of the state, was trailed by the FBI, was called a troublemaker because he was talking about race, talking about the evils, the three evils, which in 1967 for him were racism, poverty and the war in Vietnam.”
Hostin went on to say that those &#8220;three evils&#8221; Dr. King fought so hard against are still a problem today.
“We still are suffering from those three evils, maybe in a different way because we still are suffering from the scourge of racism and police brutality,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;We are suffering from economic disparity and poverty, and we are certainly suffering from this evil pandemic. And Dr. King, in 1967 again said, you know, there has been some progress, but we must not allow this progress to cause us to engage in a superficial, dangerous optimism. I think that is what happened to us. I think we saw that we are going to have the first female vice president who is African American and Southeast Asian, and we saw such promise with Georgia, you know, turning blue. We saw such promise, and then on January 6, we see that white supremacy is very much so alive and well.”
To Republicans that quote Dr. King on his birthday, Hostin said they have no standing, because of who and what they supported over the past four years.
“We saw an insurrection in our nation’s Capitol. We saw that there are people just like Dr. King said that would much rather have white supremacy rather than this multiracial democracy that he wished for,&#8221; she added. &#8220;So, I would say that in order for us to really live out his legacy, his dream, is that we must demand truth before unity. I saw today, unbelievably, in my view, Ted Cruz, Kayleigh McEnany, Ronna McDaniel, Melania Trump, quoting Dr. King, tweeting Dr. King. Those are the same people, like Melania Trump with this birther lie, Ted Cruz challenging the Electoral College. Kayleigh McEnany over and over again with her propaganda. How dare they. How dare they try to quote Dr. King on the celebration of his birthday when they enabled, enabled a racist president causing this insurrection and attack on our democracy. So while we have some progress, we just have such a long way to go.&#8221;
Sunny Hostin previously expressed support for the blacklisting of President Trump&#8217;s inner-circle from all respectable public life.
”You know, I think that Trump, um, tear-gassed peaceful protesters for a photo op. I think the Trump ripped children from their parents. I think that Trump called NFL players sons of bitches I think that—for exercising their First Amendment rights,” said “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin way back in November. “I think those people in his administration that not only drafted some of those policies but were complicit in some of those policies shouldn’t be forgotten.”
“People like Kirstjen Nielsen, people like Stephen Miller, people like Kellyanne Conway, people like Vice President Mike Pence who was woefully inadequate of his role as the head of the coronavirus task force and people like Ben Carson and Betsy Devos, I don’t think those people should be able to profit from their experience within the Trump administration,” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-view-co-host-sunny-hostin-supports-blacklisting-trump-associates">she said</a> in November. “I don’t think they should be forgotten. I don’t think we should look the other way. I think we need to remember because if you don’t remember things then past becomes prologue. I do think people need to be held accountable for their actions and um I don’t think it’s reminiscent of McCarthyism at all.”

The four-part &#8220;Holocaust&#8221; miniseries ran on NBC in 1978; Woods played the fictional artist Karl Weiss, who died in the Buchenwald concentration camp, which in reality was located near Weimar, Germany. Mauthausen was a Nazi concentration camp near Linz in Austria; it was the last concentration camp to be liberated by the Allies. The National World War II Museum writes of Mauthausen:

Martin Baranek, the author of Determined, who had already survived the camps of Starachowice and Auschwitz, said of Mauthausen: “Mauthausen was unlike anywhere else, a place of physical and mental torture and abuse beyond our imaginations.”

Back in May, Hill took to social media to defend Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, a 77-year-old white male, over his comments regarding black Americans who, according to Biden, aren’t actually &#8220;black&#8221; if they haven&#8217;t already decided to vote for him in November over President Trump.

Jemele Hill Says ‘Nazi Germany’ Learned From ‘Watching America’; Gets Crushed Online

Reports surfaced Sunday night that NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was the apparent victim of a hate crime, after a &#8220;noose&#8221; was found hanging from the driver&#8217;s garage. In the midst of the reports, before the results of an investigation, The Atlantic&#8217;s Jemele Hill appeared on MSNBC airwaves to slam NASCAR and its fans for being what she suggested are anti-black racists.
“This reminder is [a] very stunning, shocking, appalling, disgusting reminder of who, again, this sport is for,” Hill <a href="https://www.msnbc.com/andrea-mitchell-reports/watch/jemele-hill-bubba-wallace-incident-is-a-disgusting-reminder-of-who-the-sport-is-for-85703237642">told</a> MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Monday, as noted by <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/media/503972-jemele-hill-calls-noose-left-in-bubba-wallaces-stall-a-disgusting-reminder-of">The Hill</a>. “I’m very curious to see how NASCAR handles this, because based[on] everything I’ve read … this had to be an inside job, because this garage was only open to essential personnel. So, somebody associated with NASCAR likely may have been the culprit.”
However, by Tuesday, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-fbi-concludes-no-federal-crime-committed-in-bubba-wallace-noose-case">FBI concluded</a> that Wallace was not the victim of a hate crime, and that the &#8220;noose&#8221; was actually a garage pull used in that garage at least a year before the black driver was assigned to it.
Despite the investigation&#8217;s findings, Hill did not back down from her racial criticism of NASCAR, refusing to offer an apology and contending that the garage pull &#8220;Was. A. Noose.&#8221;

Noose.,&#8221; posted OAN&#8217;s Liz Wheeler, captioning the MSNBC clip of Hill. &#8220;But [Jemele Hill] used this fake news as justification to call ALL fans of NASCAR racist. Hill added a screenshot of the statement from NASCAR regarding the FBI findings, which clearly states that &#8220;the garage pull rope fashioned like a noose had been positioned there since as early as last fall&#8221;:

Wallace told far-left CNN host Don Lemon on Tuesday night that the garage pull was a &#8220;straight up noose.&#8221;

They never had garage pulls like that,” the driver said. “People that call it a garage pull and put out videos and photos of knots being in as their evidence, go ahead. In her tweet on Friday, Hill denounced Trump for his &#8220;devotion to a Nazi sympathizer&#8221; in reference to when he praised Henry Ford during his visit to the Ford plant last week.

In an appearance on the “The Breakfast Club” on Friday, Biden made his comment when host Charlamagne Tha God told the former vice president to come back on his show to answer “more questions” pertaining to black American issues.
“You’ve got more questions?” Biden replied. “Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
Symone D. Sanders, Joe Biden’s campaign adviser, instantly came to his defense, arguing he made the comments in “jest” while citing his past record with black Americans.
“Vice President Biden spent his career fighting alongside and for the African American community. He won his party’s nomination by earning every vote and meeting people where they are and that’s exactly what he intends to do this November,” Sanders tweeted. “The comments made at the end of the Breakfast Club interview were in jest, but let’s be clear about what the VP was saying: he was making the distinction that he would put his record with the African American community up against Trump’s any day. Period.”
