CNN&#8217;s Brian Stelter — who is routinely described by critics online as &#8220;<a href="https://twitchy.com/gregp-3534/2019/07/17/the-medias-janitor-strikes-again-redsteeze-takes-brian-stelter-to-the-woodshed-over-his-defense-of-cnn-giving-richard-spence-air-time/">the media&#8217;s janitor</a>&#8221; — defended ABC News on Tuesday night in his newsletter after James O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s Project Veritas released a video in which an ABC anchor reveals that the left-wing network covered up a bombshell story about convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and former Democratic President Bill Clinton.
Stelter refused to give any credit to O&#8217;Keefe or Project Veritas for their latest video and instead attempted to dismiss them by referring to them as a &#8220;right-wing, pro-Trump activist group.&#8221;
Stelter quoted an article from far-left Vox, which gave O&#8217;Keefe and Project Veritas credit, by removing that portion of what Vox reported. Stelter refused to report on the bombshell story on CNN&#8217;s website and he buried the story several hundred words deep into his newsletter.
Daily Caller Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Ingersoll called out Stelter&#8217;s actions, tweeting: &#8220;Why is qualifying the messenger — &#8216;pro trump activist group&#8217; — necessary here? Who cares? She’s on tape saying ABC spiked the story.&#8221;

An insider from ABC News leaked the footage which shows anchor Amy Robach venting to other people on set that she was angry that other places were breaking all the stories on Epstein because she had the story three years ago but did not publish it because the network was worried it would impact their ability to interview the royal family. Robach stated:

NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck unloaded on Stelter online, writing: &#8220;Annnd here&#8217;s Stelter defending ABC. The media janitor again suggested WE the people are the problem.&#8221;

‘MEDIA’S JANITOR’: CNN’s Stelter Defends ABC Over Epstein Scandal

In a video interview with <a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/2019/08/14/google-machine-learning-fairness-whistleblower-goes-public-says-burden-lifted-off-of-my-soul/">Project Veritas</a> released Wednesday, a Google whistleblower comes forward publicly for the first time to warn about the tech giant&#8217;s attempts to &#8220;sculpt the information landscape&#8221; in order to promote what he suggests is a politically and ideologically biased agenda. Among the company&#8217;s alleged, Project Veritas reports, are &#8220;news blacklists,&#8221; the use of &#8220;human raters,&#8221; and, according to the whistleblower, attempts to personally &#8220;intimidate&#8221; him.
The whistleblower, Zachary Vorhies, who worked as a senior software engineer at Google, previously provided Project Veritas leaked internal documents from the company, some of which addressed alleged <a href="http://www.projectveritas.com/2019/06/24/insider-blows-whistle-exec-reveals-google-plan-to-prevent-trump-situation-in-2020-on-hidden-cam/">algorithmic bias</a>. He has since provided hundreds more internal documents, which Project Veritas has now <a href="http://www.projectveritas.com/google-document-dump">published</a>, including alleged &#8220;news blacklists&#8221; and documents referencing &#8220;human raters&#8221; in determining how some content is handled. Project Veritas reports:
<blockquote>Among those documents is <a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/news-black-list-site-for-google-now.txt">a file</a> called “news black list site for google now.” The document, according to Vorhies, is a “black list,” which restricts certain websites from appearing on news feeds for an Android Google product. The list includes conservative and progressive websites, such as newsbusters.org and mediamatters.org. The document says that some sites are listed with or because of a “high user block rate.”
Another <a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/IMG_0110.jpg">newly published document</a> titled “Fringe ranking/classifer: Defining channel quality” lists an example ranking of various news sites, including CNN and FOX News. <a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/IMG_0114.png">A document titled</a> “Fake news &amp; other fringe: Trashy recap” reveals that videos are rated by multiple “human raters.”</blockquote>
&#8220;I gave the documents to Project Veritas, I had been collecting the documents for over a year,&#8221; Vorhies told Project Veritas founder James O&#8217;Keefe. &#8220;And the reason why I collected these documents was because I saw something dark and nefarious going on with the company, and I realized that there were going to not only tamper with the elections, but use that tampering with the elections to essentially overthrow the United States.”
Vorhies told O&#8217;Keefe that before he had gone public, Google already figured out who he was, sending him a &#8220;cease and desist&#8221; letter reviewed by O&#8217;Keefe demanding access to the documents he obtained and information about his handling of the files. Vorhies said that he fully complied with Google&#8217;s requests, but also told them that he sent the documents to the <a href="https://www.justice.gov/atr">Department of Justice Antitrust Division</a>.
Afterward, Vorhies says, he was outed as a &#8220;leaker&#8221; by an anonymous Twitter account, which prompted him to seek legal advice and &#8220;put out a dead man&#8217;s switch,&#8221; which would trigger the release of the files he&#8217;d obtained in case he was &#8220;offed.&#8221;
&#8220;The next day, the police began looking for me in two different locations,&#8221; Vorhies told O&#8217;Keefe. Vorhies says that Google likely contacted authorities about performing a &#8220;wellness check&#8221; on him. The San Francisco Police Department confirmed to Project Veritas that a &#8220;mental health&#8221; visit was conducted at Vorhies&#8217; residence. The incident, Vorhies alleges, is &#8220;a large way in which [Google tries to] intimidate their employees that go rogue on the company.&#8221;

On Wednesday, Project Veritas released a video interview of a Google senior software engineer coming forward to sound the alarm over the impact of political bias at the search engine giant. Within a few hours, Google placed the engineer on administrative leave.
&#8220;Greg Coppola, the senior Google engineer who spoke to Project Veritas in an on-the-record interview about alleged bias in Google News and Google Search, has been placed on administrative leave,&#8221; <a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/2019/07/25/update-google-engineer-who-went-public-placed-on-administrative-leave/">Project Veritas</a> reported Thursday in an update on the Coppola interview. In response to the apparent retaliatory action, Coppola has created a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/ujvbwc-x">GoFundMe account</a> with the goal of raising $16,000 in the expectation that he &#8220;will probably be fired&#8221; for &#8220;expressing concern that big tech is taking sides in elections.&#8221;
As <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/49824/watch-google-engineer-goes-record-our-tech-not-james-barrett">The Daily Wire</a> reported Wednesday, Coppola, a senior software engineer in the Google Assistant division, agreed to go on the record with conservative organization Project Veritas to warn against the political bias he says is built into Google&#8217;s algorithms. In a statement to The Daily Wire, Project Veritas founder James O&#8217;Keefe described the moment as more evidence that &#8220;the dam has broken&#8221; on the issue of Big Tech bias.

&#8220;I&#8217;ve been coding since I was ten [years old],&#8221; Coppola told Project Veritas in the interview. &#8220;I have a PhD, I have five years’ experience at Google and I just know how algorithms are. They don’t write themselves. We write them to do what want them to do.&#8221;
&#8220;I think for a while we had tech that was politically neutral,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Now we have tech that really, first of all is taking sides in a political contest, which I think, you know, anytime you have big corporate power merging with political parties can be dangerous.&#8221;
In reference to Google CEO Sundar Pichai testifying in front of Congress last December that the company&#8217;s searches are unbiased, Coppola dismissed the claim as &#8220;ridiculous.&#8221; While he has a &#8220;great deal of respect&#8221; for Pichai as a manager, Coppola said, &#8220;I think it’s, you know, ridiculous to say that there’s no bias. I think everyone who supports anything other than the Democrats, anyone who’s pro-Trump or in any way deviates from what CNN and the New York Times are pushing, notices how bad it is.&#8221;
Coppola pointed to the rise of Donald Trump as the turning point in the political bias problem in Big Tech. &#8220;I think as the election started to ramp up, the angle that the Democrats and the media took was that anyone who liked Donald Trump was a racist …&#8221; he said. &#8220;And that got picked up everywhere. I mean, every tech company, everybody in New York, everybody in the field of computer science basically believed that.&#8221;

Google Takes Action Against Whistleblower Who Called Out Political Bias

The corporate media &#8212; including social media &#8212; are now engaged in a full-fledged and collusive attempt to silence conservative voices in time for the 2020 election. On Sunday, just as YouTube was threatening to pull down thousands of &#8220;hateful&#8221; (i.e. conservative) videos, The New York Times printed a breathless and idiotic piece supposedly charting a YouTube viewer&#8217;s descent into right-wing radicalism.
How radical did this poor radical soul get from watching conservative videos? Well, okay, he &#8220;never bought into the far right&#8217;s most extreme views, like Holocaust denial or the need for a white ethnostate &#8230;&#8221; But, &#8220;he began referring to himself as a &#8216;tradcon&#8217; &#8212; a traditional conservative, committed to old-fashioned gender norms. He dated an evangelical Christian woman, and he fought with his liberal friends.&#8221;
The horror. The horror.
This suspiciously timed piece &#8212; clearly designed to give cover to YouTube&#8217;s censorship plan &#8212; featured a collage of faces of right-wing radicals. These included such raving hate-filled alt-right evil-doers as mild-mannered gay centrist Dave Rubin and of course Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro &#8212; whom various left-wing outlets have repeatedly identified as the one and only orthodox Jewish Nazi in all the universes!
But while branding Dave and Ben alt-right may be absurd, it&#8217;s not unintentional. It is part of a strategy. 1. Convince people that hate speech should be silenced. 2. Define hate speech as alt-right. 3. Label powerful mainstream conservatives &#8220;alt-right.&#8221; 4. Silence powerful mainstream conservatives.
And if you don&#8217;t think the effort is collusive &#8212; if not by conspiracy at least by conformist sympathy &#8212; consider the case of James O&#8217;Keefe, the journalistic gadfly of Project Veritas.
O&#8217;Keefe recently exposed anti-conservative censorship at social media outlet Pinterest. Pinterest execs were listing pro-life website Live Action as porn in order to ban it, and foiling searches for PJMedia and &#8212; wait for it &#8212; that tireless doer of wickedness Shapiro. And when O&#8217;Keefe exposed the practice, he was temporarily banned from Twitter and his video removed from YouTube.
Social media censored a conservative for proving that social media was censoring conservatives!
Again, one doesn&#8217;t need to be a conspiracy theorist to understand that all this is strategic. The internet and its various platforms broke the monopoly on information once controlled by huge corporations, almost all of which lean left. It democratized the spread of information, creating venues for independent voices, many of them on the right. That was fine with our elite overlords for a while because the left still managed to silence people through demonization and bullying. People don&#8217;t like being called racist, sexist, Islamophobic, homophobic and so on, especially if it might cost them their jobs. Like the family in the film A Quiet Place, those with conservative leanings learned to live in silence lest the beasts come after them.
But then along came Donald Trump &#8212; rude, boorish and completely indifferent to whatever names they called him. Trump said things people were afraid to say and gave others the feeling they could say them too. When Trump actually pulled off his upset victory, the left knew this freedom of speech thing had gone way too far.
The first stage of Operation Don&#8217;t Speak was the &#8220;fake news&#8221; controversy manufactured by Google-funded organization First Draft, and boosted by leftwing conniver David Brock, with assists from Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The object of the fake news panic was to convince social media to install left-wing hate groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center to curate material &#8212; i.e. censor conservatives. The move was successful.
But as 2020 approaches and Trump continues to expose our corrupt press and reach the people, panic is beginning to set in and the next phase of Operation Don&#8217;t Speak is in play: a massive and collusive move to define mainstream right-wing speech as hateful and shut it down.
What conservatives have to understand is that this is the central fight we&#8217;re in. This is where the battle for the soul of the future is taking place. We have to remember that we are not just on the right, we are in the right. And if we allow ourselves to be silenced &#8212; if we allow ourselves to be frightened &#8212; if we start to watch our words or apologize for faked misunderstandings or dial back our humor or throw our friends overboard when they misspeak, we lose.
We lose because we have allowed the left to set the terms of the debate.

KLAVAN: Conservatives Have To Be Fearless In The Face Of Leftist Censorship

On Thursday&#8217;s episode of &#8220;The Andrew Klavan Show,&#8221; the host speaks with James O&#8217;Keefe about how social media has been quietly censoring conservative and Christian voices, particularly O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s revelations about Pinterest&#8217;s actions to limit conservative posts. Video and partial transcript below.
James O&#8217;Keefe: A whistleblower comes to us inside of a company called Pinterest, which is a big tech company. It&#8217;s a 13-billion-dollar company who had a recent IPO. And this is a whistleblower. This is someone who was willing to lose his job. He knew the risks. He gave us secret documents and since I&#8217;m on the Daily Wire one of the pieces of information in this document, I have the document in front of me. Internal employees at Pinterest were calling Ben Shapiro a &#8220;white supremacist.&#8221; And they put Ben Shapiro, the words &#8220;Ben&#8221; space &#8220;Shapiro&#8221; space &#8220;Islam&#8221; or &#8220;Muslim&#8221;. Any of those combinations of words on what they call an S.T.L. or a sensitive terms list. He shared screenshots of employees working at a high level in the company talking about how they would censor any content mentioning Ben Shapiro.
So, there&#8217;s this information. There&#8217;s also information that Live Action, the largest pro-life organization, the biggest pro-life media organization, they actually consider them to be &#8220;pornography.&#8221; And also, other websites; PJ Media, Zero Hedge, all &#8220;porn.&#8221; So, we reach out for Pinterest to comment on Monday afternoon. And Pinterest scrambles to try to cover this information up and removes Live Action from the porn domain blacklist before we published the story. We published the story. The story blows up. Drudge links to the video, and then Pinterest then places Live Action back on to the porn domain blacklist. And then after that happens Pinterest just bans Live Action. And then what happens is YouTube, which Drudge has just linked to the video of all of these exposés, YouTube bans the video, claiming that we violated a privacy violation of Pinterest and then what happens is Twitter censors us publishing the video. So, YouTube bans the video and then Pinterest informs this young man who blew the whistle that he&#8217;s been placed on administrative leave. So, they didn&#8217;t actually fire him. &#8230; I think the reason why they didn&#8217;t fire him is because they know that they have a lawsuit on their hands. If they fire him for blowing the whistle on what has occurred. So, an extraordinary series of events.
Andrew Klavan: That is absolutely amazing. It is absolutely amazing that social media is ganging up on you to keep you from exposing social media from ganging up on conservatives. I mean it&#8217;s George Orwell, it really is. They&#8217;ve gone &#8230; they&#8217;ve lost their minds but really not. I mean it&#8217;s a strategy, right? They are trying to silence us before the 2020 election. They want Conservatism to (be silence).
James O&#8217;Keefe: This is the, his name is Eric Cochran. I mean he is a hero. We just published an interview with him. He did go on the Tucker Carlson show last night. And what&#8217;s extraordinary, you listen to this guy Eric, he says I don&#8217;t care about &#8230; He was making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year working and he just gave it all up. Because he wants to draw out a dozen people like him to do what he did. And if you listen to Eric talk, Eric says this is the watershed moment. He says this is the moment. He says it&#8217;s all happening. I&#8217;ve been doing this for 10 years. I&#8217;ve never had YouTube take down one of my videos. And I covertly film people, I leak documents. That&#8217;s what investigative journalists do. But now what&#8217;s happening is that the public, the tech companies are putting down the gauntlet and saying no, no this is a bridge too far, you&#8217;re throwing the stone in Goliath&#8217;s eye and it&#8217;s hurting us too greatly. They would never do this to the New York Times. They would never do this to The Washington (Post). Those guys publish secret documents all the time. They publish secret documents into state secrets they publish. I don&#8217;t know the documents on you and I that they have.
But that does that&#8217;s not what this is about. This is about putting the line in the sand. And this young man has made the extraordinary decision to give it all up. To basically ruin his career for a cause greater than himself. I think that what&#8217;s going to happen next is there&#8217;s going to be a dozen people like him to blow the whistle. I don&#8217;t think big tech is going to be able to stop them all.

Andrew Klavan: Well this is the thing, I mean, first of all just to unpack it just a little bit. What you exposed was they were putting Ben Shapiro but also Lila Rose and her fight against abortion, they put her as a porn site. I mean that&#8217;s an amazing thing. So porn sites [are] legitimately banned from Pinterest. And they put her on a porn site. You expose that and they shut you down. I mean it&#8217;s amazing.
James O&#8217;Keefe: Truth is stranger than fiction. If you wrote, you&#8217;re from Hollywood, if you wrote a screenplay about this, the executive producer would throw it in the trash. That&#8217;s too ridiculous. That&#8217;s too cliché. I know this sounds crazy but, it&#8217;s all happening. This is the moment in time, I&#8217;m not exaggerating.
Pinterest put pressure on Google. Pinterest put pressure on YouTube corporate and said this is too true. Just like from that movie The Insider. That&#8217;s a metaphor for what&#8217;s happening because this guy&#8217;s an insider. When Al Pacino says the more true it gets the worse it gets. He sits. He talks. He courageously blows the whistle. We published the information in a responsible way. I&#8217;m not an opinion guy I&#8217;m not a pundit. In a chilling move that suggests Big Tech is coordinating to censor conservative voices, YouTube deleted a video produced by Project Veritas exposing alleged censorship of conservative and Christian content by Pinterest. Along with YouTube&#8217;s removal of the video, Pinterest put the whistleblower who provided the documents featured in the report on administrative leave and permanently banned pro-life group Live Action, which was listed on its &#8220;porn domain block list,&#8221; as shown in the video. Twitter also appears to have joined with the other platforms in targeting Project Veritas, hitting founder James O&#8217;Keefe for supposedly violating someone&#8217;s personal privacy through his journalistic investigation and blocking content involving Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro.
As <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/48249/watch-whistleblower-pinterest-censors-conservative-james-barrett">The Daily Wire</a> reported, Project Veritas released an exposé video on Pinterest featuring testimony from an employee of the company and internal documents he presented to O&#8217;Keefe indicating that the popular social media platform was quietly censoring some conservative content and voices. Among those that appear to have been targeted by the platform is Shapiro, who was censored in a &#8220;zero tolerance moment,&#8221; Live Action, links to which were blocked on the platform, and a video series exposing Planned Parenthood, which was included in a censor list as a &#8220;harmful&#8221; &#8220;conspiracy.&#8221;
Since the release of the report, Pinterest has placed the whistleblower, Eric Cochran, on administrative leave and permanently suspended Live Action&#8217;s account.
But it&#8217;s not only Pinterest which is cracking down on those involved in the exposé; on Wednesday, YouTube deleted Project Veritas&#8217; video report, citing &#8220;privacy&#8221; violations and informing the organization that it could not show the name of the employee at Pinterest who placed Live Action on the block list or the documentation of that action.

In a statement to The Daily Wire, Project Veritas said that while YouTube outlines the content supposedly in violation in the video, the platform &#8220;does not give us any recourse by which to make the requested &#8216;blur&#8217; since they&#8217;ve taken down the video.&#8221; Doing so would be &#8220;anathema to presenting information the public has a right to know,&#8221; the organization argues.

In an interview with The Daily Wire Thursday, O&#8217;Keefe called the situation a &#8220;watershed moment&#8221; for both free speech and Big Tech. &#8220;I think that this is a watershed moment in the history of the First Amendment and Big Tech,&#8221; he said. &#8220;What we have seen here is one brave individual come forward, risking everything, in order to combat the collusion that we&#8217;re witnessing among these powerful companies. What Eric wants is for twelve more people in the industry who are likewise concerned about free speech and transparency to come forward. If they do, we will see real change.&#8221;
Pinterest has responded to some of the allegations presented in the YouTube-blocked video: &#8220;Religious content is allowed on Pinterest, and many people use our service to search for and save Pins inspired by their beliefs,&#8221; the company said in a statement to <a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/2019/06/11/tech-insider-blows-whistle-on-how-pinterest-listed-top-pro-life-site-as-porn-bible-verses-censored/">Project Veritas</a>. &#8220;To protect our users from being targeted based on personal characteristics such as their religion, we have policies in place so that ads and recommendations don&#8217;t appear alongside certain terms.&#8221;

James O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s Project Veritas released a second undercover sting video on Tuesday from a polling station in New Jersey that appears to show poll workers encouraging people to vote a certain way.
At one point in the video, poll worker Corrine Haynes appears to suggest to Project Veritas&#8217; undercover journalist that she should vote in a certain way for a ballot measure pertaining to whether school officials are appointed or elected.
&#8220;So, at the end of the vote, it&#8217;s what school type you want,&#8221; Haynes said. &#8220;Type 1 is appointed. Type 2 is elected. Elected, of course, because this is a democracy.&#8221;
&#8220;We have elected and we want elected,&#8221; Haynes continued. &#8220;Elected is good. Type 2 at the bottom.&#8221;
When the journalist later seeks to clarify Haynes&#8217; comments, Haynes replied: &#8220;We want democracy. That&#8217;s what Democracy look like. Elected.&#8221;
Haynes later appeared to suggest that it was &#8220;absolutely&#8221; better if the undercover journalist voted for Democratic Senator Bob Menendez over Republican challenger Bob Hugin.
Another poll worker, Tyrese Wicker, told the undercover journalist that Menendez was &#8220;better&#8221; than his opponent.

James O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s Project Veritas released an undercover sting video on Tuesday from a polling station in Texas that appears to show an election official saying that they&#8217;ve had &#8216;tons&#8217; of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients voting in the election.
Project Veritas&#8217; undercover journalist, posing as the girlfriend of a potential DACA voter, visited a polling station in Travis County, Texas to ask election officials if he could vote.
&#8220;If he has his ID that&#8217;s all he needs. If he&#8217;s registered,&#8221; an election worker told the undercover journalist.
&#8220;Right. It doesn&#8217;t matter that he&#8217;s not a citizen?&#8221; the PV journalist replied, adding that she had heard on the internet that he could not vote.
&#8220;No, Don&#8217;t pay any attention to that. Bring him up here,&#8221; the official said.
Another woman, who appeared to be an election official, said that there was not an issue with DACA recipients voting, saying, &#8220;we got a lot of &#8217;em.&#8221;&#8203;
&#8220;You&#8217;ve got a lot of them?&#8221; the journalist asked.
&#8220;Mmhmm,&#8221; the woman replied. &#8220;From early voter. We&#8217;ve got tons of them. Tons of DACA voters. Okay.&#8221;

WATCH: Texas Poll Worker Tells Undercover Reporter They&#8217;ve Allowed &#8216;Tons&#8217; Of DACA Recipients To Vote

James O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s Project Veritas released an undercover sting video on Thursday night that appears to show campaign staffers for Texas Democratic Senate candidate Beto O&#8217;Rourke &#8220;illegally using campaign resources to buy supplies and help transport Honduran aliens,&#8221; according to <a href="https://www.projectveritasaction.com/2018/11/01/beto/">Project Veritas</a>.
The video, which comes just a few days before the midterm elections, poses potential legal problems for the O&#8217;Rourke campaign. A Project Veritas Action attorney who reviewed the footage released the following statement:

The material Project Veritas Action Fund captured shows campaign workers covering up the true nature of spending of campaign funds and intentionally misreporting them. This violates the FEC&#8217;s rules against personal use and misreporting. It also violates Section 1001, making a false statement to the federal government. The FEC violations impose civil penalties, including fines of up to $10,000 or 200 percent of the funds involved. Violations of Section 1001 are criminal and include imprisonment of up to five years.

In one alleged exchange, Dominic Chacon and AnaPaula Themann, who both work on O&#8217;Rourke&#8217;s campaign, discussed how the campaign appears to lie about how it uses its resources to help the migrants:

Themann: &#8220;How did they get through?&#8221;
Chacon: &#8220;Well I think they accepted them as like asylum-seekers&#8230; So, I&#8217;m going to get some groceries and some blankets&#8230;&#8221;
Themann: &#8220;Don&#8217;t ever repeat this and stuff but like if we just say that we&#8217;re buying food for a campaign event, like the Halloween events&#8230;&#8221;
Chacon: &#8220;That&#8217;s not a horrible idea, but I didn&#8217;t hear anything. Umm, we can wait until tomorrow for that.&#8221;
Themann: &#8220;Well that&#8217;s exactly the food we need. And I will just mark it as, I do have dozens of block walkers.&#8221;

Heidi Heitkamp&#8217;s (D-ND) campaign staff exposing her as being a far-left candidate while she has tried to portray herself as being centrist, saying, &#8220;when she gets elected she&#8217;s going to be super liberal.&#8221;
Jesse Overton, Hietkamp&#8217;s Digital Director, described a bait and switch type of campaigning that Heitkamp is imploring, saying, &#8220;It&#8217;s an election year for her. She&#8217;s being careful about pissing people off, and it&#8217;s funny, she said basically like, after the election, if and when she gets re-elected, she&#8217;s going to be super liberal.&#8221;
When one of Project Veritas&#8217; undercover journalists visited Heitkamp&#8217;s Fargo, North Dakota campaign office, staffers admitted they take down posters of former President Barack Obama when the media is present because they want Heitkamp to appear as more moderate than she really is.
Another staffer who works for Heitkamp&#8217;s Senate office, Prescott Robinson, said that if she wins by a large enough margin, then she will start being more progressive, adding that if other Democrats around the country started moving further left that &#8220;she would move to the left.&#8221;

Joseph Shepard, the husband of Missouri Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill, was accused by his ex-wife of committing horrifying acts of domestic violence against her, according to a protection order filed against him by his ex-wife.
The newly-discovered allegations could damage McCaskill&#8217;s campaign after she opposed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mccaskills-husband-was-accused-of-abuse-his-company-victim-blamed-woman-suing-for-sexual-harassment">Fox News</a> reported:

In 1993, Shepard&#8217;s then-13-year-old daughter called the police to report that her mother, Suzanne Shepard, was a victim of a late-night assault, according to a police report obtained by Fox News. Shepard was listed as the only involved person. No charges were filed after the incident.
Five years later, in 1998, police were called again to the Shepard house. The police reported the wife claiming Shepard came to retrieve a carpet from the house and got involved in a dispute over marital problems. He then &#8220;proceeded to grab her right arm and push her,&#8221; the incident report read.

The alleged attacked prompted his ex-wife to file &#8220;an adult abuse petition for order of protection&#8221; against Joseph Shepard in which she documented a disturbing pattern of alleged violence and abusive behavior from her husband.
&#8220;I put my hands up to protect my breasts as they are sore (cancer),&#8221; Suzanne Shepard wrote. &#8220;He has hit me before in the breast. He grabbed my wrist and arm and pushed me up against the wall &amp; I hit my head &amp; back &amp; he bruised my arms by pinching me.&#8221;
&#8220;I am afraid of respondent and there is an immediate and present danger of abuse or stalking of me,&#8221; Suzanne Shepard continued. &#8220;He has tripped me, hit me before (police were called by my daughter), punched my cancer breast, peed on me, pushed me down and slapped me.&#8221;
Suzanne Shepard also claimed that Joseph Shepard threatened that he would take all of her things and that she would &#8220;end up in his low-income housing.&#8221;
Fox News also noted that Sugar Creek Realty, a company founded and owned by Joseph Shepard, &#8220;was sued in 2009 in federal court for sexual harassment, prompting a campaign by the firm&#8217;s lawyers against the accuser.&#8221;
Kristin Glemser claimed that she &#8220;suffered mental anguish, inconvenience, embarrassment, the loss of the enjoyment of life and loss of employment&#8221; after her female boss &#8220;allegedly ask[ed] her put on already-worn underwear, follow[ed] her into a restroom, unbutton[ed] her pants without her consent, t[ook] pictures of her in underwear without her consent and forc[ed] her to watch her female boss simulate a sex act with another woman.&#8221;
The company dismissed allegations from the accuser and pointed out her previous career as a model, suggesting that the sexual harassment she alleged happened was really not harassment &#8220;because her previous career indicated to her colleague that she &#8216;had no reason&#8217; to not be &#8216;willing to participate in modeling the [underwear].'&#8221;
McCaskill did not respond to numerous requests for comment from Fox News over the report.
The report is just the latest headache that McCaskill is struggling to overcome as journalist James O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s Project Veritas recently <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/37173/people-just-cant-know-claire-mccaskill-goes-down-ryan-saavedra">released undercover sting videos</a> of McCaskill and her campaign staff, who said that McCaskill had certain views that she couldn&#8217;t publicly state or she would probably lose the election.
McCaskill responded to the highly-embarrassing videos by demanding that her Republican opponent, Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley, open a fraud investigation into the videos that were released.

Claire McCaskill (D-MO) and her staffers expressing support for radical gun control measures that they admit she can&#8217;t state publicly.
The video shows McCaskill and her staff admitting that she supports banning semi-automatic weapons, bump stocks, high-capacity magazines, along with supporting other far-left policies.
Rob Mills, who works on McCaskill&#8217;s campaign, says in the video that McCaskill can&#8217;t be open about her policies because &#8220;she has a bunch of Republican voters&#8221; and &#8220;that could hurt her ability to get elected.&#8221;
Nicolas Starost, who also works McCaskill&#8217;s campaign, says in the video that former President Barack Obama isn&#8217;t campaigning for McCaskill because she doesn&#8217;t want to be cast as too far-left, even though she believes in the same policies that Obama does.
&#8220;Because of how like, cause he&#8217;s a very liberal candidate,&#8221; Starost says. &#8220;And like&#8230; Claire distancing herself from the party is gonna help her win more votes than it will saying like: &#8216;Oh here&#8217;s Obama, the former President of the United States, to now speak on my behalf.&#8217; Which is unfortunate because I love Obama to pieces, and I&#8217;d love to see him come here.&#8221;
&#8220;And they essentially have the same views on everything?&#8221; the Project Veritas journalist asks.

In a newly released video by conservative activist James O&#8217;Keefe, staffers for Tennessee Democratic senatorial candidate Phil Bredesen tell O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s undercover reporters that the Democratic senatorial candidate had publicly &#8220;lied&#8221; about his supposed support for Brett Kavanaugh because he believed it would win over some of the moderate Republican vote.
In a secretly recorded exchange, two staffers for Bredesen&#8217;s campaign explained that while Bredesen said publicly that he would vote to confirm Kavanaugh, that was just a &#8220;political move&#8221; that Bredesen felt necessary because he was 8 points behind Republican candidate Marsha Blackburn and a strong majority of Tennesseans wanted to see Kavanaugh confirmed.
&#8220;Like, he wouldn&#8217;t really vote yes [for Kavanaugh,] would he?&#8221; an undercover reporter asked.
&#8220;No, it&#8217;s a political move,&#8221; said one of Bredesen&#8217;s field organizers. &#8220;He thinks that, like, we&#8217;re down like half a point right now. It&#8217;s, like, really close and we&#8217;re losing by a point or two. So he thinks that if, like, by saying this he&#8217;s appealing to more moderate Republicans and he&#8217;ll get more of them to vote for us.&#8221;
&#8220;I was so confused because I just can&#8217;t believe he would actually vote [for Kavanaugh],&#8221; said the reporter.
&#8220;He wouldn&#8217;t,&#8221; said another staffer. &#8220;But he&#8217;s saying he would &#8230; Which I don&#8217;t know if it makes it worse or better. No, it makes it better &#8230; &#8220;
When the reporter asked the first staffer if Bredesen&#8217;s claim that he&#8217;d vote for Kavanaugh was simply an attempt to &#8220;get the Republican vote,&#8221; she said, &#8220;Yes.&#8221;
&#8220;He thought that like by coming out in support [of Justice Kavanaugh] that it would get more Republicans on his side,&#8221; she explained. &#8220;He wasn&#8217;t doing as well in the rural parts.&#8221;

Bredesen has received some more buzz recently after singer Taylor Swift came out in support of him, the first time she&#8217;s ever publicly supported a political candidate.
Despite Bredesen&#8217;s claim that he would support Kavanaugh, the &#8220;Kavanaugh Effect&#8221; appears to be hitting him particularly hard. After leading several polls prior to Democrats promoting uncorroborated accusations against Kavanaugh, the Democrat now trails by <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2018/senate/tn/tennessee_senate_blackburn_vs_bredesen-6308.html">5 points and 8 points</a> in two recent polls by Fox News and CBS News/YouGov, respectively.

Undercover Video Shows Staffers For Democrat Bredesen Saying He Lied To Voters About Support For Kavanaugh

James O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s Project Veritas has <a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/2018/09/18/deep-state-unmasked-state-department-on-hidden-cam-resist-everything-i-have-nothing-to-lose/">released</a> their first dose of undercover footage allegedly revealing the shadowy actors of the &#8220;deep state.&#8221; In Tuesday&#8217;s footage, an employee of the State Department and a member of the Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) admits to working on DSA work while on the clock and makes it clear that his goal is to &#8220;resist everything&#8221; at &#8220;every level.&#8221;
State Department employee Stuart Karaffa tells undercover Project Veritas reporters that he drafts communication for his DSA activism on the taxpayers&#8217; dime, though he&#8217;s careful not to leave a &#8220;paper trail.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;m careful about it,&#8221; he says in the footage. &#8220;I don&#8217;t leave a paper trail, like I leave emails, and like any press s*** that comes up I leave that until after 5:30. But as soon as 5:31 hits, got my, like, draft messages ready to send out.&#8221;
Karaffa also boasts about assisting the DSA by monitoring Virginia campaign finance and election news while on the clock.
&#8220;You could put two and two together probably,&#8221; says the State Department employee. &#8220;So with web traffic, I mean I could make the case before a court of law that &#8212; I&#8217;m going to the Virginia sort of, campaign finance website &#8212; that I&#8217;m just interested in what people are doing politically. But if they also go and look at like DSA minutes and like Officer positions they&#8217;ll be like, &#8216;That&#8217;s weird, you were the co-chair of the electoral caucus, and you spent three hours on a Virginia campaign finance website.'&#8221;
&#8220;Maybe someday I&#8217;ll go to board of elections jail, probably not,&#8221; Karaffa scoffs. It&#8217;s unlikely, he explains, because of the weak oversight and strong protection for firing.
&#8220;I have nothing to lose. It&#8217;s impossible to fire federal employees,&#8221; he says, adding that &#8220;nobody knows&#8221; about his on-the-job DSA activism.
Karaffa also notes that government disclosure forms are merely &#8220;rubber stamped.&#8221;
&#8220;I don&#8217;t know if [the ethics officer is] all there. He&#8217;s so checked out,&#8221; he says.
Karaffa also seemingly advocates for the so-called &#8220;resistance&#8221; movement. &#8220;Resist everything,&#8221; he says. &#8220;Every level. F*** s*** up.&#8221;
&#8220;We&#8217;ve heard a lot about the &#8216;deep State&#8217;; holdovers from the previous administration resisting change or nameless and faceless bureaucrats slowing things down or leaking secrets in an effort to undermine this administration,&#8221; explains O&#8217;Keefe. &#8220;What is truly striking is their boldness, they are not afraid. They are even boastful about a warped reality, where they won&#8217;t get caught and can&#8217;t get fired even if they did.&#8221;
O&#8217;Keefe promises more &#8220;deep state&#8221; footage to come.

In the first video of an exposé series titled &#8220;<a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/2018/08/02/an-unfair-game-urban-meyer-a-history-of-abuse/">An Unfair Game</a>,&#8221; Project Veritas presents undercover footage of four former players under multi-time national championship-winning coach Urban Meyer, formerly the coach of the University of Florida Gators and the now-suspended head coach of the Ohio State University Buckeyes.
&#8203;Meyer was <a href="http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/24259780/urban-meyer-ohio-state-buckeyes-coaching-scandal">placed on administrative leave</a> on Wednesday as Ohio State investigates Courtney Smith&#8217;s claims that several people close to Meyer, allegedly including his wife, knew about a 2015 domestic violence allegation against her now ex-husband, former OSU assistant football coach Zach Smith, who was fired last month.
Meyer&#8217;s reputation has already taken some major hits for his time at Florida, where he won two national championships but appears to have looked the other way while his players were involved in a stunning number of crimes. &#8220;During Meyer&#8217;s six-year tenure at Florida, some 31 players were arrested, with at least 10 accused of crimes ranging from misdemeanor battery to felony domestic assault to felony theft to domestic battery,&#8221; <a href="http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/24259780/urban-meyer-ohio-state-buckeyes-coaching-scandal">ESPN</a> reports.
O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s undercover video (below) presents another unflattering aspect of Meyer&#8217;s approach to coaching that has not been emphasized in previous reports: his alleged &#8220;history of physical and mental abuse&#8221; of players. In videos filmed &#8220;in separate meetings throughout late 2017 and 2018 across the country,&#8221; four different players describe Meyer&#8217;s tenure at Florida as being characterized by a reckless disregard for players&#8217; health. <a href="https://www.projectveritas.com/2018/08/02/an-unfair-game-urban-meyer-a-history-of-abuse/">Project Veritas</a> reports:

According to these players, Meyer would blatantly disregard player&#8217;s health and wellbeing. Xavier Nixon, who played at the University of Florida for coach Meyer, recalled an incident where Omarius Hines, a teammate at the time, was severely injured during a weight training session Meyer oversaw called &#8220;The Valentine&#8217;s Day Massacre.&#8221;
&#8220;They had a guy&#8217;s quads explode in the weight room on the leg press during what we call the Valentine&#8217;s Day Massacre. You basically do everything until failure and the lactic acid had built up in his legs so much that his quads literally exploded, they erupted, and he had to be taken out in an ambulance.&#8221;

Another player corroborated Nixon&#8217;s account. According to all four players, &#8220;there was a culture under Coach Meyer where injured players would be mocked, and the severity of their injuries would be kept from them,&#8221; Project Veritas reports.
One particularly troubling case involved former UF player Gideon Ajagbe, &#8220;who contracted a severe infection in his shoulder that led to hospitalization. Before he was hospitalized, Ajagbe was forced to practice and was purposefully subjected to ridicule from the team.&#8221;

Nixon said Ajagbe &#8220;was literally dying.&#8221; Despite having &#8220;bacteria eating the muscle in his shoulders,&#8221; Ajagbe was forced to carry &#8220;a 45-pound plate over his head &#8230; he was crying.&#8221; Nixon believed Meyer&#8217;s staff &#8220;didn&#8217;t adequately acknowledge&#8221; Ajagbe&#8217;s injury. Ajagbe confirmed this event in his own words:
&#8220;&#8230; it was bad. A lot of what played into my depression was they humiliated me. They thought I was trying to skip out on practice &#8230; the word they used, imma be frank, they said I was a pu**y &#8230;&#8221;

Ajagbe eventually became &#8220;suicidal,&#8221; partly blaming the humiliation he suffered while on the team.

Meyer explained last week at Big Ten media day that he and his wife, Shelley, got involved to help Smith and his wife through counseling. Meyer went on to deny knowing that Smith was investigated for domestic violence in 2015. Courtney Smith, Zach&#8217;s now-ex-wife, said Wednesday that she told Shelley about both the 2009 and 2015 incidents. &#8230;
Meyer brought on Smith, a man Meyer knew had been alleged to abuse his pregnant wife. He brought on former Indiana coach Kevin Wilson, who resigned after he was accused of mistreating his players. He stuck by Greg Schiano after a deposition came to light alleging that Schiano knew about Jerry Sandusky&#8217;s child abuse at Penn State, allegations Schiano denies.

Among the most famous of the players that were on Meyer&#8217;s scandal-plagued Florida squads was Aaron Hernandez, who <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2017/05/05/us/aaron-hernandez-note-fiancee/index.html">committed suicide</a> in prison in 2017 after being <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2014/03/09/us/aaron-hernandez-fast-facts/">convicted</a> of the murder of Odin Lloyd in 2013. While he was living in Gainesville, the star tight end was questioned by police about a shooting but was never charged or arrested.

New Undercover Video Hits Embattled College Football Coach Urban Meyer

No one can deny that the mainstream media in the United States definitely has a left-leaning slant when it comes to reporting the news. In a new video for PragerU, &#8220;<a href="https://www.prageru.com/videos/american-media-soviet-tactics">American Media, Soviet Tactics</a>,&#8221; James O&#8217;Keefe, founder of Project Veritas and author of &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/28107/book-review-james-okeefes-american-pravda-jacob-airey">American Pravda</a>,&#8221; addresses the increasingly partisan reporting of mainstream media outlets and the erosion of public trust in the fourth estate.
&#8220;The communist government of the former Soviet Union thought that by controlling access to information, they could keep their citizens in line,&#8221; O&#8217;Keefe explains. &#8220;Consistent with the Orwellian nature of the Soviet Union, the country&#8217;s most important newspaper was Pravda. &#8216;Pravda&#8217; is the Russian word for &#8216;truth.&#8217; But Pravda was not truth. It was full of lies.&#8221;
He continues: &#8220;But here&#8217;s the thing: Almost no one in the Soviet Union was fooled. They knew they were being lied to. Ironically, unlike most citizens in the Soviet Union, citizens in 21st-century America are fooled by their news media. We think we&#8217;re getting the real story from our major media, but we&#8217;re not. When we tune into the networks, or read the New York Times or the Washington Post, we&#8217;re actually getting a sharply slanted version of the news. Slanted to the left.&#8221;
&#8220;This should deeply concern people on both sides of the political divide. To make informed decisions, a free society needs a press it can trust &#8212; not one that is hopelessly biased,&#8221; O&#8217;Keefe continues. &#8220;In 2017, Project Veritas sent out undercover reporters to see how committed the major media was to objective news gathering, specifically as it regarded the newly-elected president, Donald Trump.&#8221;
Undercover reporters for Project Veritas, he explains, caught multiple employees at mainstream media outlets admitting to not only their personal left-leaning political bias but the bias of their organization and their news coverage, which is slanted to promote the progressive agenda instead of providing Americans the straight, unbiased news.
O&#8217;Keefe emphasizes, &#8220;When journalists shape news to fit their vision of a better society, they&#8217;re not doing their job.&#8221;

While his controversial work has earned him both praise and condemnation from fans and critics, there&#8217;s no disputing that James O&#8217;Keefe has become an influential voice in the political sphere. Indeed, most Americans have seen some of O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s exposé videos produced by his team at Project Veritas. O&#8217;Keefe, who has previously published a manifesto about his &#8220;guerilla journalism&#8221; style of reporting, has just published a new book, &#8220;American Pravda: My Fight for Truth in the Era of Fake News,&#8221; in which he provides the backstory of some of his undercover projects.
The author explains that the book&#8217;s title refers to the Soviet propaganda newspaper Pravda, which spread &#8220;fake news&#8221; to the Russian people. Likewise, O&#8217;Keefe explains, the mainstream media in America lies about their perceived objectivity; like the Russian newspaper, the MSM has a political agenda it is attempting to promote. Through Project Veritas, O&#8217;Keefe says he uses the media&#8217;s Leftists&#8217; tactics against them to get at the truth. 
O&#8217;Keefe gives insight into his background, including his friendship with the late Andrew Breitbart. He touches on the sting against the far-left organization ACORN, which made him a household name. He discusses several operations, including the time he was arrested for a misdemeanor and his more recent stings against CNN and The New York Times. 
James O&#8217;Keefe has been a thorn in the mainstream media&#8217;s side since 2009. They have derided his tactics and have often complained about the stings his team have performed against those on the Left. Meanwhile, O&#8217;Keefe balks at the very idea of an establishment media and openly challenges their supremacy in the press.
&#8220;American Pravda&#8221; provides some key insights into the goals, challenges, and motives in the operations of Project Veritas. While O&#8217;Keefe is the &#8220;front man,&#8221; taking most of the credit for the work, he also openly takes the blame in an effort to protect his undercover journalists. He is smart, bold, rebellious, and his story is fascinating.

O&#8217;Keefe&#8217;s and Project Veritas&#8217; modus operandi is built on undercover investigations; mostly hidden cameras and microphones recording individuals surreptitiously. According to CNN&#8217;s Chris Cuomo, this method can capture individuals when they are most honest.
&#8220;We&#8217;re gonna make you an unwilling, unwitting internet celebrity,&#8221; says O&#8217;Keefe in the trailer, ostensibly warning targets of his investigatory journalism. &#8220;We&#8217;re gonna find you. We&#8217;re gonna find you because we&#8217;re intrepid.&#8221;
Most recently, O&#8217;Keefe and Project Veritas have focused on investigating political corruption at large news media operations, including CNN.
O&#8217;Keefe has described much of the national news media landscape as politically corrupted, subverting truth and transparency in favor of pushing left-wing political narratives. He has described the late Andrew Breitbart as a professional mentor of his.
Technological changes via the rise of the internet and growing ubiquity of cameras has disintermediated &#8220;mainstream media&#8221; as the filter for information for much of the public, according to O&#8217;Keefe. The result is a potential renaissance within the reporting and journalistic industry via a rise in market competition.

Project Veritas has released four videos so far on CNN; the first two focus on their coverage of possible collusion between President Trump and Russia. The latest two videos from Project Veritas have centered around CNN&#8217;s New Day Associate Producer Jimmy Carr. Their <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/18133/cnn-producer-american-voters-stupid-sht-joseph-curl">third video</a> on CNN shows Carr saying the following:

<li>Kellyanne Conway &#8220;looks like she got hit with a shovel.&#8221;</li>

Project Veritas&#8217; <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/18289/cnn-producer-who-called-american-voters-stupid-sht-aaron-bandler">fourth video</a> featured Carr stating that he didn&#8217;t think he &#8220;said anything wrong&#8221; and trashing New Day anchor Chris Cuomo. Carr said that most of the newsroom &#8220;just can&#8217;t stand the guy when he talks.&#8221;
&#8220;We&#8217;re like, shut up,&#8221; Carr said. 
Headed by O&#8217;Keefe, Project Veritas has done a great service in exposing the shenanigans of the Left through undercover reporters.
