The Biden blob is apparently trying to make a comeback and even Democrats sound exhausted by it.
A growing fight is breaking out inside Democratic foreign policy circles as some of the same officials tied to President Joe Biden’s most controversial global decisions quietly begin regrouping for 2028. And according to a lengthy new report from Puck News, plenty of Democrats are openly asking the same question: seriously, these guys again?
At the center of the drama is former Biden National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and the network of Obama-Biden foreign policy operatives often referred to inside Washington as the “Biden bros.”
That circle includes familiar names like Antony Blinken, Jon Finer, Brett McGurk, and others who helped shape Biden-era policy on Afghanistan, Ukraine, Gaza, and Iran.
Now many of them are reemerging through a revived Democratic foreign policy group called National Security Action, which reportedly gathered party insiders in Manhattan recently to begin plotting what Democratic foreign policy could look like in 2028.
The reaction inside parts of the Democratic Party has not exactly been enthusiastic.
“This is the Jake and Jon Show: Redux, and nobody I know is happy about it,” one former senior State Department official told Puck.
That pretty much sums up the vibe.
The frustration appears to go far beyond Republicans criticizing Biden’s foreign policy record.
According to the report, Democrats themselves are increasingly furious over everything from the Afghanistan withdrawal to the administration’s handling of Gaza, while others remain angry over what they describe as efforts to cover up Biden’s decline while still clinging to power politically.
One Democrat quoted in the piece bluntly said the old Biden foreign policy crowd is “canceled and they don’t realize it.”
Ouch.
The article paints a picture of a Democratic Party quietly tearing itself apart behind closed doors over whether the same establishment figures who dominated the Obama and Biden years should continue controlling foreign policy heading into the next presidential cycle.
And the backlash is not just ideological. Some Democrats reportedly view the group as arrogant, insulated, and unwilling to let a younger generation take over. 
 The timing also matters.
President Donald Trump is back in office, global tensions continue escalating, and Democrats are now trying to figure out what exactly their foreign policy identity even is after years of internal fighting over Israel, Ukraine, interventionism, and progressive activism.
That is where the anxiety around Sullivan seems to hit hardest.
For progressives, Sullivan became closely tied to Biden’s support for Israel during the Gaza war.
For hawks, critics say the administration looked weak and indecisive abroad.
For others, the issue is simpler: they believe the same people who helped run the last administration are already trying to reclaim influence before voters have even fully processed what happened.
Still, the old guard does not appear interested in quietly disappearing.
The revived organization recently brought in Maher Bitar, a Palestinian-American foreign policy official tied to Adam Schiff and Biden’s National Security Council, as part of an effort to present a newer face for the group.
But even that move reportedly sparked skepticism from Democrats who saw it as little more than a rebrand of the same old network.
For now, one thing seems clear.
The Biden era may technically be over, but the people behind it are not ready to let go of power just yet.

Bill Maher, hosting former Biden national security advisor Jake Sullivan, pointed out the virtually complete Democratic Senate opposition to the state of Israel, noting that only seven Democratic senators voted against a measure blocking the sale of military equipment to Israel.
On Wednesday, the U.S. Senate voted on Joint Resolutions of Disapproval introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) to block specific military sales to Israel, including $295 million for military bulldozers and $152 million for 1,000-pound bombs.
A record 40 members of the Democratic caucus (85%) voted to block the sales, while seven Democratic senators voted with the Republican majority to oppose the measures. These seven senators were: Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), John Fetterman (PA) Richard Blumenthal (CT), Chris Coons (DE), Jacky Rosen (NV), and Catherine Cortez Masto (NV).
“The Senate rejected a measure to block the sale of military equipment to Israel,” Maher noted. “I wouldn&#8217;t know what that means unless I stopped and thought about it. What it means is this: it is a Democratic idea. This is Bernie Sanders. This is the Democrats wanting to stop — and this is not charity to Israel. This is the sale of military equipment. This is the Democrats saying, we&#8217;re not going to sell Israel any more military equipment. Seven Democrats joined the Republicans in shooting this down. So Israel has seven Democratic allies left in the Senate.”
“Well, first of all, it&#8217;s not just Bernie Sanders. As you know, it&#8217;s 40 Democrats who voted for this,” Sullivan replied.
“That&#8217;s right. Only seven allies,” Maher responded.
“It was pretty straightforward. I talked to a number of them before the vote. I think they did the right thing. Why? Because the president of the United States —&#8221;
“Who did the right thing?” Maher interjected.
“Those 40 Democrats,” Sullivan answered.
“The 40?” Maher said incredulously
“Yeah, because the president of the United States and the prime minister of Israel brought the United States into a war that basically was misbegotten from the beginning, which cost American credibility, cost American lives and cost American families at the gas pump.’ Sullivan claimed. “And basically, those Democrats shouldn&#8217;t vote for anything that supports that war, including more weapons to Israel. I think that&#8217;s just a basic proposition. If you are not wanting to support the U. S. and Israel continuing the war in Iran, you shouldn&#8217;t be voting to send more weapons to Israel. I think that that is the right approach for those 40 Democrats to take.”
“Well, I see why Biden lost,” Maher fired back.

Sullivan made his claim, which comes less than two weeks after an ISIS-inspired terrorist killed 14 people in an attack on New Orleans, during an interview on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; with Jake Tapper.
Tapper asked Sullivan: &#8220;Where across the globe could you point and say the United States is safer because of what we did here?&#8221;
After spouting White House talking points about the administration&#8217;s foreign policy track record, Sullivan said that Americans were better off now as a result.

New Hampshire GOP Congressional candidate National Security Advisor Lily Tang Williams wrecked Democratic candidate Maggie Goodlander, the wife of President Joe Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, after Goodlander accused Williams of embracing policies that gave a “break for the wealthiest.”
Lily Tang Williams, 60, is a lawyer who fled communist China <a href="applewebdata://DA670680-ACB2-4AB0-9146-1D4CC69ACA3E/v">with only $100 in her pocket</a> and became a U.S. citizen in 1994; she married her husband John Williams in 1990. Goodlander, 38, came from the “politically connected Tampsoi family of Nashua,” The New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism <a href="https://indepthnh.org/2024/10/31/polar-opposite-candidates-goodlander-and-tang-williams-debate-for-congressional-district-2-seat/">noted</a>. The New Hampshire Journal <a href="https://nhjournal.com/goodlander-throws-hat-and-maiden-name-into-dem-primary-ring/">reported</a> in May of Sullivan and Goodlander, “The two own a home in Portsmouth — which is not in the district. But she told the Left-leaning Boston Globe that she just signed a lease for a home in Nashua. ‘I am a renter, and there should be more renters in Congress,’ she said.”
The New Hampshire Journal added:

On Tuesday, in the wake of Iran launching hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan stated there would be “severe” consequences for Iran as a result.
“Today Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles towards targets in Israel,” Sullivan <a href="https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=911751937464781">began</a>. “The United States military coordinated closely with the Israeli defense forces to help defend Israel against this attack. U.S. naval destroyers joined Israeli air defense units in firing interceptors to shoot down inbound missiles.”
“President Biden and Vice President Harris monitored the attack and the response from the White House situation room joined in person and remotely by their national security team,” he declared. “We are still working with the IDF and the authorities in Israel to assess the impact of the attack but at this time, and I stress, at this time, we do not know of any deaths in Israel. We are tracking the reported death of a Palestinian civilian in Jericho in the West Bank. We do not know of any damage to aircraft or strategic military assets in Israel.”
“In short, based on what we know at this point, this attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective,” he asserted. “This was first and foremost the result of the professionalism of the IDF but in no small part because of the skilled work of the United States military and meticulous joint planning in anticipation of the attack.”
Sullivan noted a concurrent terrorist attack in Israel: “We are also aware of reports of a terrorist attack in Jaffa that took the lives of a number of Israeli civilians and wounded several others today.”
“We will consult with the Israelis on next steps in terms of the response, and how to deal with what Iran has just done and we will continue to monitor for further threats and attacks from Iran and its proxies. We are particularly focusing on protecting U.S. service members in the region.”
Asked whether Israel should retaliate, Sullivan responded: &#8220;We&#8217;ve had some initial discussions with the Israelis in the aftermath of this at the military level and also at the White House/Prime Minister&#8217;s office level and we&#8217;ll continue those conversations in the hours ahead.”
“Obviously this is a significant escalation by Iran,” he declared, “a significant event and it is equally significant that we were able to step up with Israel and create a situation in which no one was killed in this attack in Israel so far as we know at this time. We are now going to look at what the appropriate next steps are to security first and foremost American interests and then to promote stability to the maximum extent possible.”
He concluded, “We have made clear that there will be consequences, severe consequences, for this attack and we will work with Israel to make that case.”

An American teacher who has been imprisoned in Russia for three years told his family he “feels like” his “soul is dead” after being excluded from last week’s prisoner swap.
“I cannot believe this,” Marc Fogel said on a Saturday call to his family, a recording of which was obtained by The Daily Wire. “I just don’t even want to get out of bed. I am shocked and sickened and out of breath and energy.”

The 63-year-old was given a 14-year prison sentence for possessing medical marijuana in 2021. An employee of Anglo-American School of Moscow, Fogel spent 27 years teaching overseas, and was planning to retire the year he was arrested. An American doctor prescribed the marijuana after Fogel had surgeries on his back, shoulder, and knee.
Fogel told his family he felt “like a second-class citizen” as the Biden-Harris administration prioritized the release of high-profile prisoners like WNBA player Brittney Griner in and Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, the latter of whom was included in the August swamp.
“I think that teachers have just been shat upon,” Fogel said. “It’s hard to have any faith,” Fogel said.
Fogel’s family echoed this point in a statement following the swap.
“Marc is not rich, a celebrity, or connected to powerful patrons &#8230; This fight has been met &#8230; with stonewalling, double standards and — today — abandoning Marc to die in prison.”
On Friday, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan dismissed the Fogel family’s comments on the Today Show, saying it was “not a responsible statement.”
Sullivan, who said he “personally worked on” Fogel’s case, said former Marine Paul Whelan, who was also released on Thursday, “is not powerful or politically connected.”
But Free Marc Fogel spokesperson Vicki Iseman told The Daily Wire that Whelan had multiple governments pushing for his release, since he is also a citizen of the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada.
At one point in the call, Fogel asks if it is true non-U.S. citizens were released in the deal.
“I hate to tell you this, but yes,” Iseman responded.
Human rights advocate and United States resident Vladimir Kara-Murza was among those released as part of the multi-country swap along with Russian opposition figures, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/01/world/who-are-detainees-russia-us-prisoner-swap-intl/index.html">CNN reported.</a>
The Fogel family has been lobbying the Biden-Harris administration to give Marc “wrongfully detained” status, which would allow for the government to provide financial support for Fogel’s medical care and other needs. Griner, Whalen, and Gershkovich all received the “wrongfully detained” designation.
The State Department has resisted pressure to give Fogel the designation without explanation, saying they are pushing for his release on humanitarian grounds.
Russia has never released an American prisoner on humanitarian grounds, and formally denied the State Department’s request, Iseman said.
“I think we knew this administration is just not going to be there for you,” Isemand told Fogel. “I don’t know why, but regardless of that, there will be a new administration.”

The Fogel family has intensified their efforts to secure Marc’s release in recent months, as the latter’s deteriorating health has repeatedly landed him in the jail’s hospital.
Fogel’s 95-year-old mother, Malphine, last month met with former President Donald Trump, who told her he would do everything he could to free her son if elected in November.
Malphine was scheduled to appear <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-trump-rally-vip-recounts-heroism-amid-assassination-attempt-chaos">on stage</a> with Trump at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally where a would-be assassin fired at Trump. Fogel was standing about 25 feet away from Trump when the shots rang out.
Malphine Fogel told The Daily Wire last week that it was “gut-wrenching” to see her son not included in the swap. 
Iseman told Fogel to have hope during the call, reminding him of Trump’s promise of support.
“We’ve gone too far for you not to hang in there,” Malphine said. “We have to do the best we can and you have to do your part.”
“I love you mom,” Fogel responded.
The State Department declined to comment on this story.

“In the coming days, the United States will impose new sanctions targeting Iran, including its missile and drone program as well as new sanctions against entities supporting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran’s Defense Ministry,” he stated. “In addition, we continue to work through the Department of Defense and U.S. Central Command to further strengthen and expand the successful integration of air and missile defense and early warning systems across the Middle East to further erode the effectiveness of Iran’s missile and UAV capabilities.”
“These new sanctions and other measures will continue a steady drumbeat of pressure to contain and degrade Iran’s military capacity and effectiveness and confront the full range of its problematic behaviors,” he continued. “Over the last three years, in addition to missile and drone-related sanctions, the United States has sanctioned over 600 individuals and entities connected to terrorism, terrorist financing and other forms of illicit trade, horrific human rights abuses, and support for proxy terrorist groups, including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Kataib Hezbollah. The pressure will continue.”
Although the Biden administration may impose sanctions, the White House <a href="https://freebeacon.com/biden-administration/biden-admin-renews-iran-sanctions-waiver-that-unlocks-upwards-of-10-billion-for-regime/">extended</a> last month a waiver on sanctions that could allow up to $10 billion to flow to Iran from Iraq through electricity payments to Iran via third-party countries.

Biden National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan demanded on Sunday that House Republicans give Ukraine all the resources that it wants to fight its war against Russia while making no demands for Democrats to find a compromise in order to get a funding bill passed in Congress.
Sullivan&#8217;s interview on NBC News&#8217;s &#8220;Meet The Press&#8221; comes after Democrats tried to pass a border security bill attached to Ukraine funding earlier this month that lacked most of what Republicans wanted to see done to fix the border crisis.
&#8220;We need to understand that, actually, Ukraine has, in many ways, succeeded in thwarting the fundamental objective of Vladimir Putin, which was to subjugate the country of Ukraine,&#8221; Sullivan said. &#8220;Now, Ukraine has also taken back roughly half the territory that Russia occupied in the early months of the war. We are looking at some setbacks, including in recent days, because Ukraine didn&#8217;t have enough ammunition to defend the town of Avdiivka in the east. But at the end of the day, Ukraine still has the capacity – if we provide them the tools and resources they need – to be able to prevail in this war. And it is up to us, the United States, and our allies and partners, to deliver on our commitment. And that&#8217;s why it&#8217;s so important that Congress act.&#8221;
When asked if he believes that Ukraine can win the war militarily, Sullivan said, &#8220;Of course,&#8221; but House Republicans needed to give into Democrats&#8217; demands and &#8220;pass that bill.&#8221;
&#8220;This ultimately comes down to a simple decision from one man, Speaker Johnson,&#8221; Sullivan said. &#8220;If there were an up or down vote in the House, this would pass on a bipartisan basis. So Speaker Johnson needs to decide, will he allow that vote to go forward? If he does, Ukraine will get what it needs. If he doesn&#8217;t, then the United States will not have the resources necessary to give Ukraine the kinds of tools and capacities that it needs. That&#8217;s what this comes down to. And that is the moment that we are at right now.&#8221;

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) released a statement on Wednesday calling for President Joe Biden to immediately declassify newly discovered information about a &#8220;destabilizing&#8221; military capability from a hostile foreign power.
Turner said in a message to House members that the Intelligence Committee &#8220;has identified an urgent matter with regard to a destabilizing foreign military capability that should be known by all Congressional Policy Makers.&#8221;
He said in a subsequent statement that while all House members are able to view some of the information about the &#8220;serious national security threat,&#8221; he wants Biden to &#8220;declassify all information relating to this threat so that Congress, the Administration, and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat.&#8221;
CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/14/politics/house-intel-chairman-serious-national-security-threat/index.html">reported</a> that multiple sources have indicated that the intelligence is &#8220;very sensitive.&#8221;
One source who reportedly saw the intelligence told the network “it is, in fact, a highly concerning and destabilizing” Russian capability “that we were recently made aware of.”
National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said from the White House that the reported Russian capability represented a “serious national security threat.”
“I reached out earlier this week to the Gang of Eight to offer myself for up for a personal briefing to the Gang of Eight and, in fact, we scheduled a briefing for the for House members of the Gang of Eight tomorrow,” Sullivan said. “That’s been on the books. So I am a bit surprised that Congressman Turner came out publicly today in advance of a meeting on the books for me to go sit with him alongside our intelligence and defense professionals tomorrow.”

Sullivan&#8217;s remarks have come as the administration has, in numerous instances, been either slow or reluctant to confront serious national security threats to the U.S., including increased Chinese aggression, Russian aggression against Ukraine, and Iranian-backed terrorist attacks on U.S. forces in the Middle East.
In other circumstances, the administration has been the cause of national security threats, including Biden&#8217;s disastrous border policies that have led to millions of illegal aliens flooding into the U.S. and his withdrawal from Afghanistan, which has allowed terrorist groups to rapidly grow as they plot attacks against the West.

&#8220;The U.S. position on this is very straightforward,&#8221; Sullivan said. &#8220;The only long-term answer to peace in the region, to Israel&#8217;s security in the region, is a two-state solution, with Israel&#8217;s security guaranteed. A Palestinian state that also has security guarantees for Israel. That’s what we’re going to keep working for.&#8221;
&#8220;We were doing that before October 7th,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I think since October 7th the need to work on that has only increased and we would like to deliver an outcome over time that has alluded administrations of both parties for decades that is in the best interests, we believe, of everyone in the region and in the wider world.&#8221;

Sullivan made the remarks during four separate interviews — ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and CNN — after the Biden administration <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-telegraphs-to-iran-and-its-terrorist-proxies-that-u-s-military-is-on-its-way-to-bomb-them">repeatedly</a> <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/iranian-irgc-commanders-go-into-hiding-as-biden-admin-continues-to-leak-details-of-alleged-retaliatory-strikes-reports">telegraphed</a> to Iran <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/terror-groups-evacuate-their-positions-after-biden-admin-tips-them-off-to-their-plans">details</a> about what its <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/terror-groups-evacuate-their-positions-after-biden-admin-tips-them-off-to-their-plans">response</a> in the region would be after three U.S. soldiers were killed and dozens more injured during a terrorist attack last weekend.
Sullivan said during the interviews that the initial round of strikes were only the beginning and that more would be forthcoming, &#8220;Some of those steps will be seen. Some may not be seen.&#8221;
He acknowledged during an interview on ABC News&#8217; &#8220;This Week&#8221; that the strikes did not establish deterrence against future attacks, an issue that Republicans <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republicans-slam-biden-for-disastrous-response-to-u-s-soldiers-being-murdered-retaliatory-strikes-are-not-deterrence">quickly called out</a>, saying that the administration, &#8220;cannot rule out that there will be future attacks from Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Syria or from the Houthis.&#8221;
Sullivan claimed that the administration had signaled toughness to Iran through its actions and not its &#8220;words,&#8221; even though Iran&#8217;s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commanders fled Iraq and Syria shortly after the Biden administration started leaking information about its retaliatory strikes.
When pressed during an interview on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; about what the next steps of the U.S.&#8217;s campaign was going to be, Sullivan responded: &#8220;I&#8217;m not going to, obviously, describe the character of that action because I don&#8217;t want to telegraph our punches.&#8221;
CBS News&#8217; Margaret Brennan brought up the fact the strikes were &#8220;so telegraphed in advance&#8221; and mentioned how it allowed IRGC commanders to escape.
&#8220;The idea that somehow this was telegraphed, I think is a bit more of a political talking point than a reality,&#8221; he claimed.
NBC News&#8217; Kristen Welker asked Sullivan about the intense criticism the administration has faced for telegraphing the strikes, to which he mocked those saying that, calling them &#8220;armchair quarterbacks.&#8221;
Again, this comes after the administration warned for a week that it was going to conduct an extensive bombing campaign in Iraq and Syria against Iranian-backed terrorist facilities that were involved in the deadly attack on U.S. forces. Numerous reports have indicated that Iran&#8217;s IRGC commanders fled and were unharmed and there has been speculation that a lot of weapons were moved and thus not destroyed during the strikes.
Sullivan also refused to rule out during multiple interviews the possibility that the U.S. could conduct military strikes inside of Iran.

On the criticism that the administration has faced for responding only a handful of times to the approximately 170 attacks that U.S. forces have faced in Iraq and Syria since mid-October, Sullivan claimed that &#8220;the notion that we have not responded is just incorrect.&#8221;
Sullivan refused to disclose any details on how effective the strikes were late last week or information on how many terrorists were killed.

<a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/secretary-defense-lloyd-austin-hospitalized-middle-east-missions-rcna132612" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reporting</a> on Saturday also divulged that Deputy Secretary Kathleen Hicks took charge while she was on vacation after Austin <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-shocker-defense-secretary-hospitalized-days-ago-press-alarmed-by-late-notice" target="_blank" rel="noopener">was admitted</a> to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Monday for what the Pentagon described as &#8220;complications following a recent elective medical procedure.&#8221;
The Department of Defense (DoD), which did not publicly disclose Austin&#8217;s health matter until close-of-business on Friday, released a <a href="https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3633506/statement-by-secretary-of-defense-lloyd-j-austin-iii-on-medical-care/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> from the defense secretary sharing that he was recovering and expressing contrition for how the situation had been handled.
&#8220;I want to thank the amazing doctors and nursing staff at Walter Reed for the exceptional care they have delivered to me and for the personal warmth they have shown my family. I also appreciate all the outreach and well wishes from colleagues and friends. Charlene and I are very grateful for your support,&#8221; he said, referring to his wife.

Another report, this one <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/secretary-defense-lloyd-austin-hospitalized-middle-east-missions-rcna132612" target="_blank" rel="noopener">from NBC News</a>, featured senior administration officials saying Austin spent four days in the intensive care unit. A senior defense official said Hicks took on the defense secretary&#8217;s duties last week even though she was on vacation in Puerto Rico and Austin did not resume full command until Friday evening.
“At all times, the Deputy Secretary of Defense was prepared to act for and exercise the powers of the Secretary, if required,” Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder insisted in a statement. He also said there was an &#8220;evolving situation&#8221; in which &#8220;multiple factors&#8221; such as medical and privacy issues were considered.

Despite Biden and his National Security Council reportedly being caught off guard, the president has &#8220;full confidence&#8221; in Austin and is &#8220;looking forward to him being back at the Pentagon,&#8221; a White House official <a href="https://twitter.com/jeffmason1/status/1743807654177165741" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told Reuters</a>.
Members of the media, some with decades of experience covering the Pentagon, voiced shock and concern in response to the DoD releasing a public statement on Friday that revealed Austin had been hospitalized on Monday — an announcement that POLITICO noted came 15 minutes after Congress was notified.
The board of directors of the Pentagon Press Association, a group for reporters covering the national security beat, sent a <a href="https://twitter.com/TaskandPurpose/status/1743450095641674051">letter</a> to DoD public affairs officials calling the late notice an &#8220;outrage&#8221; and requesting a meeting on the &#8220;troubling situation as soon as possible.&#8221; They also said Austin &#8220;has no claim to privacy in this situation.&#8221;
Some lawmakers demanded an explanation from the DoD, including Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), who <a href="https://www.cotton.senate.gov/news/press-releases/cotton-austin-must-address-troubling-hospitalization-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Austin &#8220;must address promptly the troubling report that the Department of Defense didn’t immediately notify President Biden or the National Security Council that he was hospitalized and unable to perform his duties.&#8221;
