Finally, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/democratic-party">Democrats</a> are starting to get it.
After yet another mental gaffe by President Joe Biden, a new poll has found a majority of Democrats are at least &#8220;concerned&#8221; about his mental health.
The Issues &amp; Insights/TIPP <a href="https://issuesinsights.com/2022/10/10/64-of-voters-concerned-over-bidens-mental-health-ii-tipp-poll/">survey</a> of 1,376 adults released Monday showed 64% of Americans are either &#8220;very concerned&#8221; or &#8220;somewhat concerned,&#8221; a 5-point jump from its last poll in August.
But the percentage of Democrats now concerned about Biden&#8217;s mental lapses leaped 13 points in two months.  &#8220;Virtually all of October’s gain came from Democrats, who went from just 39% expressing &#8216;concern&#8217; over Biden’s mental health in August, a high number in itself, to 52% in the latest poll,&#8221; the pollsters wrote.
&#8220;Is Biden’s mental infirmity a danger to this country? Is it time for the president, who turns 80 next month, to be tested by competent medical experts and have the results openly released to allay public fears?&#8221; said the pollsters.
They also pointed out numerous recent gaffes by Biden.
“Recent video snippets show Biden wandering off stage, apparently lost, after speaking briefly; forgetting the name of the Declaration of Independence, the nation’s founding document; not remembering that a congresswoman he was honoring at a ceremony was in fact dead, asking Where’s Jackie (Walorski)?’; invoking the possibility of nuclear ‘Armageddon’ after Vladimir Putin’s military suffered setbacks in Ukraine; and so on.”
On September 28, Biden delivered a speech at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in Washington, D.C. He recognized those involved in the effort, including Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN).
In his shout-outs, Biden said: “Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie? She must not be here.”
She wasn’t there because Walorski is dead. She died, along with three others, in a head-on car crash on August 3.
Biden, 79, had clearly forgotten that Walorski had died, even though on the day of her death, the White House released a statement from the president mourning her.
“Jill and I are shocked and saddened by the death of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski of Indiana along with two members of her staff in a car accident today in Indiana,” Biden said at the time. He also ordered the U.S. flag at the White House to be lowered for two days.
What made the whole mess worse is that the White House decided to lie about Biden&#8217;s confusion, implying that he knew Walorski was dead but that she was simply &#8220;top of mind.&#8221;
“So, of course, she was on his mind. She was of top of mind for the President,&#8221; Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/press-briefings/2022/09/28/press-briefing-by-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-september-28-2022/">told</a> reporters the next day. &#8220;He looks — very much looks forward to discussing her remarkable legacy of public service with them when he sees her family this coming Friday.”
Reporters lashed out at Jean-Pierre, who simply repeated her scripted lies. But Fox News&#8217; Peter Doocy delivered a zinger, telling the flack: “Karine, I have John Lennon top of mind just about every day, but I’m not looking around for him anywhere.”
Biden would eventually apologize to Walorski’s family when he met with them for a bill signing in the Oval Office two days later.
Maybe he should apologize to all Americans for being president.

Well, Duh: Majority Of Democrats Now 'Concerned' About President Joe Biden's Mental Health, Poll Finds

Nearly four-dozen House seats — 47, to be exact — that are currently held by Democrats are rated as &#8220;toss-ups&#8221; or possible flips in Republicans&#8217; favor, according to the latest prediction map from Real Clear Politics.
The <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/house/elections-map.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">map predicts</a> that the fast-approaching midterms — just 29 days away at the time of this article&#8217;s publication — would likely reverse the balance of power in the House of Representatives. The current balance includes 220 Democrats, 212 Republicans, and three vacancies left by deceased Congresswoman <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/whoopi-blows-up-at-media-for-daring-to-question-bidens-mental-health/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jackie Walorski</a> (R-IN), and resigning Congressman <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/i-dont-want-your-vote-florida-democrat-celebrates-primary-win-by-alienating-half-the-state/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlie Crist</a> (D-FL) and Ted Deutch (D-FL). RCP&#8217;s new map predicts a shift to 220 Republicans and 180 Democrats — with 35 races listed as &#8220;toss-ups.&#8221;
Also important to note is the fact that the most recent <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/house/elections-map_race_changes.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">status changes</a> for individual races have been moves in favor of Republicans, as labels move from &#8220;safe Dem&#8221; to &#8220;likely Dem&#8221;; from &#8220;likely Dem&#8221; to &#8220;leans Dem&#8221;; from &#8220;leans Dem&#8221; to &#8220;toss-up,&#8221; and so on. All ten races that have changed in the last ten days have moved one category in Republicans&#8217; favor.
The predictions from RCP&#8217;s <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/senate/elections-map_race_changes.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Senate map</a> are bit more reserved, in part because there are fewer seats in play, but also appear to show a slight edge for Republicans. The current balance — 5o Democrats and 50 Republicans with Vice President Kamala Harris to break the tie — appears likely to shift, with the map showing 47 seats going to Republicans and 46 to Democrats. Seven seats are still listed as toss-ups.
But the trend lines in the Senate seem to be <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/senate/elections-map_race_changes.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">moving</a> in the same direction as the trend lines in the House, with the last five races to show changes in status moving in favor of Republicans. Those races — in Missouri, Washington, Vermont, Ohio, and Alaska — could easily tip the balance to give Republicans a solid majority in the Senate.
The latest Monmouth University poll — released at the beginning of October — does not bode any better for Democrats.

Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute, <a href="https://www.monmouth.edu/polling-institute/reports/monmouthpoll_US_100322/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">explained</a> why the current picture meant that the Democrats were facing an uphill battle over the next several weeks.
&#8220;Because the congressional map favors the GOP, Democrats need to do more than ‘keep it close’ in order to hold onto their House majority. One roadblock for them is that the issue picture favors Republicans,&#8221; he said.

Way back when Bill Clinton was president, CNN was known among critics as the &#8220;Clinton News Network.&#8221;
The once facts-first news network would rarely target Clinton and often completely ignore events detrimental to the Democrat.
But all that was supposed to change under new leadership. CNN in August canceled &#8220;Reliable Sources,&#8221; parting ways with host Brian Stelter, one of the most fierce critics of former President Donald Trump and Fox News.
The new CEO, Chris Licht, told employees then that &#8220;this is a time of change and I know that is unsettling. There will be more changes and you might not understand it or like it all.&#8221;
Reports emerged that Licht planned to take the network back to the days when it (mostly) just covered the news. &#8220;According to the story that’s emerged so far,&#8221; Forbes <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/andymeek/2022/06/05/a-cnn-insider-sets-the-record-straight-on-the-new-chris-licht-era-at-the-network/?sh=3341f5ee4e1d">wrote</a>, &#8220;the new guy among other things thinks audiences have had enough of the breathless play-by-plays of nonstop crises.&#8221;
&#8220;And that there needs to be less white-hot resistance programming. Fewer panels with vituperative and partisan guests. A more measured tone in general, overall,&#8221; wrote reporter Andy Meek, citing a &#8220;CNN insider.&#8221;
So much for that story.
CNN decided not to air President Joe Biden’s gaffe last week in which he called for a congresswoman to give her praise.

CNN did not report the story on its broadcasts. “CNN completely ignored it on the air, did run a couple of online articles,&#8221; Fox News media reporter Howard Kurtz <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/news/foxs-howard-kurtz-calls-out-msnbc-and-cnn-for-ignoring-bidens-wheres-jackie-gaffe-imagine-if-it-had-been-donald-trump/">said</a> during a panel discussion on &#8220;MediaBuzz Sunday.&#8221;
“There was no mention of this on MSNBC, and there was no mention of this on the air on CNN,” he said. Then Kurtz posited an interesting scenario: “Imagine if it had been Donald Trump.”
While the story quickly disappeared in the mainstream media, it&#8217;s worth noting that Biden, who turns 80 next month, is the oldest-ever president and has the codes to America&#8217;s nuclear weapons.
Republicans haven&#8217;t let the story die, though. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) pointed out that even the lapdog media in the White House briefing room barraged Biden&#8217;s spokesman with fierce questions.
&#8220;Joe Biden’s diminished capacity is so blatantly obvious that even the White House Press corps couldn’t hide their concern,&#8221; Cruz said on Fox News. &#8220;That’s how you know it’s bad.&#8221;
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre claimed Biden mentioned the congresswoman&#8217;s name simply because she was &#8220;top of mind.&#8221;
But Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), who served as White House physician for both Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, called for Biden to take &#8220;a cognitive test.&#8221;
&#8220;In yet another pathetic display of incompetence, Joe Biden not only thought my departed colleague was alive, but he also had his puppet-master, Karine Jean-Pierre, deny he was confused,&#8221; Jackson said in a statement.
&#8220;It doesn’t take a neurologist to realize he’s in serious cognitive decline. The American people know what’s going on here, and they don’t think the Commander-in-Chief is capable of doing his job,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;It’s past time for White House staff and the liberal media to stop shielding him from questions about his mental acuity and demand he answer my call for a cognitive test,&#8221; Jackson added.
Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC), a practicing surgeon and vice chairman of the GOP Doctors Caucus, said these &#8220;kinds of senseless gaffes have become par for the course for this president.&#8221;
&#8220;The American people can see that Mr. Biden’s mental acuity is certainly in question,&#8221; he told Fox News Digital. &#8220;What’s more disturbing to me, however, is the way in which this White House continues to deceive and misdirect the American people on a daily basis.&#8221;
&#8220;It appears there is nothing the White House won’t do to cover up for a failed president and a failed administration,&#8221; Murphy added. &#8220;The American people clearly deserve better.&#8221;

There is something more-peculiar-than-normal about the Left&#8217;s defense of President Joe Biden&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/wheres-jackie-biden-asks-where-dead-congresswoman-is-at-white-house-conference" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unbelievable mistake</a> of calling out for the late representative <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jackie-walonski" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jackie Walorksi</a> on Wednesday.
It seems the going explanation is not that Biden&#8217;s out of it, he just doesn&#8217;t really care. Or maybe, more specifically, the Left just doesn&#8217;t care about Walorski nor Biden&#8217;s mental state.
Consider Whoopi Goldberg&#8217;s defense on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View.&#8221;
&#8220;You know, my gosh, come on,” Goldberg <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/whoopi-blows-up-at-media-for-daring-to-question-bidens-mental-health" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> about conservative backlash. &#8220;You can’t go after him for, you know, not giving aid to Florida, or not tackling the infrastructure, and he’s giving aid to Ukraine, so you can’t go after him for that, but you can go after him for forgetting that someone has passed.&#8221;
&#8220;I mean, she passed last month not, like, a hundred years ago, okay?&#8221; she said.
Yeah, guys, I mean c&#8217;mon. How was the president supposed to know Walorski was killed in an automobile accident in August? It&#8217;s not like his office issued a statement commemorating her life of public service.
Except that is <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/08/03/statement-from-president-biden-on-the-passing-of-congresswoman-jackie-walorski-of-indiana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exactly what happened</a>.
Then there was White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre&#8217;s excuse. If you ask the official spokesperson for the Biden White House, the president looked around the room and asked &#8220;Where&#8217;s Jackie?&#8221; because she was &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/press-sec-digs-hole-even-deeper-after-biden-calls-for-dead-congresswoman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">at the top of his mind</a>.&#8221;
In other words, Jean-Pierre claimed that Biden led everybody to believe he thought Walorski was still alive because he was so looking forward to &#8220;honoring her legacy&#8221; and meeting her grieving family on Friday.
It was possibly the worst excuse of all time and skirted around the obvious: Biden is losing his marbles.
More folks in the media are falling into a similar blunder.
&#8220;I think what it really shows is this country is so ageist,&#8221; Sunny Hostin of “The View” proclaimed about criticism for Biden&#8217;s seance-that-wasn&#8217;t. &#8220;This country has a problem with age. You go to other countries and our elders are revered because of the knowledge that they have. I hate that about this country!&#8221;
From the ladies on “The View” to the official White House, the going explanation for Biden&#8217;s latest gaffe isn&#8217;t that he&#8217;s senile, it is that he just did not really care that much to properly honor Walorski&#8217;s legacy.
Yet, those closest to the situation know that&#8217;s laughable.
Walorski&#8217;s brother Keith seemed to understand that Biden isn&#8217;t all there.
“It’s par for the course,” Keith <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/09/28/late-gop-rep-jackie-walorskis-bro-biden-doing-best-he-can/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> the New York Post. “I feel sorry for him, really.”
Keith also said, &#8220;He made a phone call after my sister was killed and he was very sincere in his relaying the grief process because he’s been through that grief process, he knows all about it.&#8221;
“All I’m saying right now about the president is bless his heart for trying,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Yeah, it was a big mess-up today. Inexcusable? No. Unforgivable? No. I’m not gonna hold it against him. I just feel sorry for him.&#8221;
In other words, it is just obvious to Walorksi&#8217;s family that Biden is mentally incapacitated as it is to much of the country.
As pointed out by former Trump official and host of &#8220;This Is Your Country,&#8221; Paige Willey, Biden &#8220;wasn’t trying to be disrespectful—yet her family will never get an apology because the white house [sic] can’t admit how debilitated he is.&#8221;

She&#8217;s right. Neither the White House, nor the Left, can admit it. So instead, they&#8217;ll unwittingly put forth the idea that Biden couldn&#8217;t be bothered to remember Walorski&#8217;s passing. What a rotten thing to do.

Her co-hosts quickly piled on, with Joy Behar claiming that former President Donald Trump had believed Frederick Douglass was still alive and Sara Haines chalking the gaffe up to a &#8220;brain fart&#8221; or &#8220;mommy brain.&#8221; She explained that everyone made mistakes like that from time to time, but that Jean-Pierre had likely made the situation worse when she kept repeating that Biden did not forget that Walorski had passed, and had asked for her because she was &#8220;top of mind.&#8221;

New Republican co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin defended Biden by saying that he had been &#8220;gaffe-prone&#8221; for his entire career in public office, even going so far as to say that it was an &#8220;endearing&#8221; quality.

Walorski was killed in a motor-vehicle accident in August, but Biden called for her multiple times — asking where she was — during his <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/wheres-jackie-biden-asks-where-dead-congresswoman-is-at-white-house-conference/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">opening remarks</a> at the White House&#8217;s Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. Prior to her death, Walorski had been one of four co-sponsors of a bill to fund the conference.
&#8220;Jackie, are you here? Where&#8217;s Jackie?&#8221; Biden scanned the audience, apparently searching for the Indiana Republican.
Not surprisingly, Jean-Pierre fielded questions about the gaffe during Wednesday&#8217;s briefing.

ABC&#8217;s Cecilia Vega was first to ask about the president&#8217;s flub, saying, &#8220;What happened at the Hunger Event today? The president appeared to look around the room for an audience member, a member of Congress who passed away last month. Did he think she might be in the room? What happened there?&#8221;
Jean-Pierre explained that Biden had only wanted to recognize the work Walorski had done — and that he planned to visit with her family and sign a bill in her honor later in the week — adding, &#8220;she was on his mind, she was top of mind.&#8221;
Several other reporters pressed the issue, noting that even if the late congresswoman was &#8220;top of mind,&#8221; it seemed odd that the president did not appear to remember that she had passed away.

&#8220;When you sign a bill for John Lennon as president, then we can have this conversation,&#8221; Jean-Pierre replied, moving quickly along to the next question.

On Wednesday, <a href="http://dailywire.com/news/desperate-biden-falsely-claims-republicans-will-kill-medicare-social-security/">President Joe Biden</a> thanked a handful of bipartisan officials for putting together the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/white-house" target="_blank" rel="noopener">White House</a> Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. During his acknowledgments, he asked, &#8220;Where&#8217;s Jackie?&#8221; confused as to why he did not see the woman he had just mentioned in his remarks.
The evidence indicates that he was likely referring to the deceased Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN). She <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-u-s-congresswoman-killed-in-head-on-collision" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passed away</a> last month in an automobile accident.
&#8220;I want to thank all of you here, including bipartisan officials like Representative McGovern, Senator Braun, Senator Booker, Representative &#8230; Jackie, are you here? Where&#8217;s Jackie? &#8230; I think she must not be here,&#8221; Biden said while searching for &#8220;Jackie.&#8221;

Walorski died on August 3, 2022, and was instrumental in creating this conference.
The White House Domestic Policy Council (DPC), which put on the event, thanked her in its official <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/White-House-National-Strategy-on-Hunger-Nutrition-and-Health-FINAL.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">briefing strategy document</a>. The reference sounds nearly identical to Biden&#8217;s remarks on Wednesday morning. Here&#8217;s the text:

There is no other <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/White-House-National-Strategy-on-Hunger-Nutrition-and-Health-FINAL.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reference</a> to a &#8220;Jackie&#8221; in that document.
To make matters worse for Biden, the president even commemorated her passing by issuing a statement that thanked her in part for her work on the conference.
&#8220;Jill and I are shocked and saddened by the death of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski of Indiana along with two members of her staff in a car accident today in Indiana,&#8221; Biden <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/08/03/statement-from-president-biden-on-the-passing-of-congresswoman-jackie-walorski-of-indiana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> at the time.
&#8220;We may have represented different parties and disagreed on many issues, but she was respected by members of both parties for her work on the House Ways and Means Committee on which she served,&#8221; he <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/08/03/statement-from-president-biden-on-the-passing-of-congresswoman-jackie-walorski-of-indiana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">added</a>. &#8220;She also served as co-chair of the House Hunger Caucus, and my team and I appreciated her partnership as we plan for a historic White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health this fall that will be marked by her deep care for the needs of rural America.&#8221;
As observed last week, we are <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/video-why-does-biden-constantly-wander-around-aimlessly-after-speeches" target="_blank" rel="noopener">not supposed to notice it</a> and the media does not talk about it — but Biden is not quite all there. He walks around aimlessly, makes up stories, and now is asking for deceased members of Congress. Plus, anonymous aides constantly walk back his statements on important matters.
Those are just the &#8220;gaffes&#8221; that we see in front of the cameras.
That raises the question that nobody has truly figured out — who is really running the country?

'Where's Jackie?': Biden Asks Where Dead Congresswoman Is At White House Conference

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/democratic-party">Democrats</a> and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/republican-party">Republicans</a> seemingly took a break from fighting Wednesday afternoon following the news of the tragic accident that claimed the life of Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) and three other people.
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-u-s-congresswoman-killed-in-head-on-collision">crash</a> happened in Elkhart County, Indiana, where Walorski was traveling with two aides who were also killed, when Edith Schmucker, who was traveling north, drifted across lanes and collided with the vehicle, killing everyone involved.
Walorski was first elected to Congress in 2012 after serving three terms in the Indiana State House, where she was assistant floor leader.
Walorski was previously a television news reporter and also spent four years as a missionary with her husband in Romania, where they helped provide essential items to children living in poverty.
Some of the notable responses to Walorski&#8217;s passing included:

She previously served on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, the House Budget Committee (113th Congress), and the House Agriculture Committee (114th Congress), where she chaired the Nutrition Subcommittee.
