Iran&#8217;s senior Shiite cleric has declared war on the President of the United States. The Islamic Republic’s Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi issued a <a href="https://x.com/mdubowitz/status/1939343304836911200">fatwa</a> stating that threats against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei — particularly by President Trump — constitute a war against Islam. &#8220;Any collaboration,&#8221; he wrote, &#8220;is forbidden. Muslims must respond with &#8216;severe punishment.'&#8221;
This is not empty rhetoric. It’s a directive. The regime is using religious law to justify action against American political leadership. This fatwa is not an outlier — it is state-sanctioned pretext for terror.

Now, after President Trump ordered strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities and humiliated Khamenei in his press conference, the regime is escalating. It is signaling its operatives — at home and abroad — that retaliation is not just permissible. It is required.
This fatwa gives legal and religious cover for future attacks. It sets the stage for proxy operations, lone actor violence, and state-sponsored terror framed as divine justice. The regime has already <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/from-fordow-to-freedom-a-strategy-for-ending-the-islamic-republic?author=Aidin+Panahi&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=0&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=From+Fordow+To+Freedom%3A+A+Strategy+For+Ending+The+Islamic+Republic">authorized</a> retaliation against American and Israeli targets. The network is active. The planning is done. All that remains is execution. The regime’s intentions are not hypothetical. In the months leading up to the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Iranian operatives were actively plotting to assassinate Donald Trump, according to Western intelligence sources.

These networks are not limited to Iran or the Middle East. They are embedded inside the United States. The regime has exploited Palestinian solidarity movements, college encampments, and so-called cultural centers to build cover and infrastructure for future operations. What appears to be activism is, in many cases, ideological and logistical preparation. The Islamic Republic has skillfully used progressive activists, woke institutions, and even elements of the Democratic political class as unknowing tools — shielding itself behind civil rights rhetoric while laying the groundwork for subversion and violence. In <a href="https://www.justice.gov/archives/opa/pr/two-men-charged-alleged-plot-assassinate-saudi-arabian-ambassador-united-states">2011</a>, an Iranian-American working for the Quds Force was charged with plotting to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington, D.C. That was over a decade ago. The capabilities have only expanded since.
This is not a theoretical risk. It’s an operational doctrine.

The United States must respond accordingly.
First: Federal authorities must treat this fatwa as an actionable threat. DHS, FBI, Secret Service, and intelligence agencies must identify and dismantle regime-linked cells, proxies, and influence networks operating inside the United States under cultural, religious, or diplomatic cover.
Second: Islamic Republic’s top officials who issue or endorse calls for violence must be designated as enablers of terrorism and sanctioned accordingly. That includes financial, digital, and travel restrictions without exception.
Third: The regime must not outlast this escalation. The U.S. must adopt a policy of full support for regime change led by the Iranian people. That means providing technical, financial, and political support to Reza Pahlavi, who has accepted the responsibility of leading the transition after millions of Iranians — both inside the country and abroad—have chanted his name and called on him to represent their national will.
Fourth: The U.S. must support Israel’s precision operations targeting the regime’s nuclear, military, and intelligence assets — and where necessary, extend that support to neutralizing select political and religious officials who are operational leaders in the regime’s state-directed terror infrastructure. This must be framed and executed as counterterrorism.
Fifth: The U.S. must initiate immediate and comprehensive <a href="https://www.hstoday.us/featured/perspective-the-u-s-must-investigate-iranian-regime-networks-inside-the-homeland/">screening</a> of Iranian nationals already inside the country — including visa holders, green card recipients, and naturalized citizens — who maintain any connection to regime institutions, propaganda networks, or clerical systems. If the U.S. accepts that it is under asymmetric threat, it must respond accordingly. A national emergency declaration should be on the table.

These actions are not optional. They are overdue. If left unchecked, this regime will act on its threats.
There is no negotiation pathway. There is no moderation. The Islamic Republic is not a government. It is a transnational threat actor. It issues religious rulings as operational orders. It does not fear diplomacy; it fears consequences.
The fatwa against President Trump is a signal. September 11th began with similar rhetoric. Now, another one has been issued — and this time, the target is named. If the U.S. ignores it, the next attack will not be a press release. It will be a body count.

Over the past 10 years, Northern Nigeria has quickly risen to the top of the list as the most dangerous place to be a Christian. More Christians are killed here than anywhere else in the world.
The data show us that it’s not by slim margins. According to International Christian Concern, in 2022, <a href="https://www.persecution.org/2023/09/11/90-percent-of-the-5500-christians-killed-in-2022-were-nigerian/">90%</a> of all Christians killed in the world were killed in Nigeria. Last year, that number was around <a href="https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/261571/nigeria-tops-report-for-number-of-christians-killed-kidnapped-in-2024#:~:text=The%20World%20Watch%20List%2C%20released,countries%20in%20the%20same%20year.">70%</a>.
The persecution of Christians in Northern Nigeria has quickly evolved into a full-on genocide. But how did this happen? How did the region become a stronghold for this violence against those who follow Christ?
Most of the region is a virtual “wild west” of Africa, leaving Northern Nigeria largely unchecked with a sparse military presence. The geography, coupled with a rise in Islamic extremism, has allowed groups like Boko Haram and ISIS-WA (ISWAP) to flourish unimpeded.

According to the most <a href="https://www.statista.com/statistics/1197570/deaths-caused-by-boko-haram-in-nigeria/">recent statistics</a>, Boko Haram alone is responsible for the deaths of 38,000 people between 2011 and 2023. Their growth has been so staggering that it has essentially overwhelmed the Nigerian government’s attempts to stop it. In 2023, I witnessed Nigerian soldiers walk off the job when ordered to fight Boko Haram militants. They told me that fighting Boko Haram was a suicide mission. These terrorist groups keep the people of northern Nigeria in a constant state of fear. They yield this fear skillfully to maintain control. While I truly believe Nigerian President Bola Tinubu wants to see change in the region, his government is outnumbered and outgunned.
Another equally devastating contributor to the problem is the ethnic conflict between Fulani Muslims (herders) and Christians (farmers). While this is not “terrorism” in the traditional sense of Islamic Jihad, the results are no less deadly. There are approximately 17 million Fulani Muslims in Nigeria. Most Fulani are nomadic and predominantly raise cattle to maintain their livelihood. In this region, Christians have largely settled and sustain themselves by planting crops. As the Fulani migrate their cattle over vast distances, those cattle often wander into the farm fields of Christians, destroying their crops. While some Fulani Muslims have been radicalized, the herder vs. farmer crisis is overwhelmingly the result of tensions over land.

For years, I have brokered peace agreements between hundreds of Fulani Muslim and Christian communities. In nearly every case I have worked, the root cause of the conflict boils down to violence that arose from cattle destroying crops. And that violence is not one-sided. Christians have retaliated for the destruction of their crops; however, more often than not, these conflicts result in an inordinate number of Christian deaths.
The most recent example is the massacre of nearly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/terrible-massacre-hundreds-of-christians-killed-by-jihadists">200 Christians</a> that happened on <a href="https://www.genocidewatch.com/single-post/fulani-jihadists-massacre-over-200-christians-in-nigeria">June 14, 2025</a>. As a result of Nigeria’s diminishing areas for cattle grazing, the Fulani Muslims attacked Christians as a means to claim land for their cattle to graze. Further evidence is that every dry season, when access to good feeding grounds is at its lowest, there is a surge of violence between the Fulani herders and Christian farmers.
Northern Nigeria, like much of Africa, is gripped by severe socio-economic challenges that fuel instability and hardship. Most people in Northern Nigeria live on the equivalent of a little more than <a href="https://www.forbesafrica.com/current-affairs/2024/08/20/majority-of-workers-in-nigerias-largest-city-earn-below-62-50-monthly-report-reveals/">$1 USD per day</a>. Currently, a <a href="https://maypatronic.com/bag-of-rice-in-nigeria/#:~:text=in%20the%20market.-,Price%20Ranges,such%20as%20region%20and%20quality.">10kg (22-pound) bag of rice costs about $35 USD</a>. People barely earn enough to feed themselves. The <a href="https://www.macrotrends.net/global-metrics/countries/nga/nigeria/inflation-rate-cpi#:~:text=Nigeria%20inflation%20rate%20for%202023,a%201.85%25%20increase%20from%202019.">annual inflation rate is around 24%</a>, which drives the cost of food higher and higher. <a href="https://www.unicef.org/press-releases/25-million-nigerians-high-risk-food-insecurity-2023">UNICEF has placed Nigeria on its crisis list</a>, stating that over 25 million people are at high risk of food insecurity. These conditions have created an environment that keeps people in a perpetual state of survival.
But how do dire socio-economic conditions contribute to Christian persecution?

Inflation and food shortages exacerbate the conflict between Fulani Muslim herders and Christian farmers because, to them, every day is a desperate fight for survival. Tensions over grazing land — the source of sustenance for both the herders and farmers — run at a fever pitch. These socio-economic conditions are also the reason why so many young men are drawn to radical Islamic groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP. Not only do these groups provide a support system, but they also pay well for people willing to follow their orders and commit violent acts. I’ve heard reports of Boko Haram paying their fighters $100 USD for the successful execution of a single act of terrorism. That’s a small fortune in this part of the world.
The desperate conditions of Northern Nigeria are the fuel that keeps the fire of persecution burning.
These are complex problems in a complex part of the world. That’s why, at <a href="https://www.acrossnigeria.org/">Across Nigeria</a>, we are driven by a powerful mission: not only to uplift suffering Christians but also to extend Christ’s love to Muslims. Through our network of primary schools across Northern Nigeria, we empower Fulani Muslims with transformative education and literacy, building bridges of hope and understanding. In every area where we operate a Fulani school, the violence has dropped by 60 to 70%. We have found that providing people with options and opportunities is the best way to deter them from resorting to violence.
By helping Muslims overcome these challenges, we are helping to significantly reduce the violence and bring an end to the suffering. We have done a lot, but we have a long way to go. With the proper support, I believe we can reduce the violence and bring an end to suffering for the Muslims and Christians in the most dangerous region in the world.

Jihadists massacred around 200 Christians in Nigeria last week after storming a predominantly Catholic farming community and setting fire to homes, according to multiple reports.
Last Friday and Saturday, Fulani Jihadist herdsmen targeted the Christians in Yelwata, in Nigeria’s Benue State, according to Catholic news outlet, <a href="https://cruxnow.com/church-in-africa/2025/06/latest-attack-reportedly-kills-nearly-200-people-in-nigeria">Crux</a>. The militants attempted to storm St. Joseph’s Church in Yelwata, which was housing families who had been displaced by previous Fulani Jihadist attacks in other areas, but were repelled by police, according to another report from <a href="https://www.churchinneed.org/nigeria-up-to-200-dead-in-worst-killing-spree/">Church in Need</a>. The militants then attacked the town square, setting fire to buildings and killing people while yelling &#8220;Allahu Akbar.&#8221;
According to eyewitnesses on the ground in the Nigerian community, the Jihadists &#8220;surrounded Yelwata &#8230; and began slaughtering people—mostly women, children, and displaced families who thought they had found safety here.”
“We’re still finding bodies in the bushes,” <a href="https://www.genocidewatch.com/single-post/fulani-jihadists-massacre-over-200-christians-in-nigeria">said</a> local youth leader Mton Matthias. “The death toll is rising every hour.”
Pope Leo addressed the &#8220;terrible massacre&#8221; on Sunday when he said Christians &#8220;were killed with extreme cruelty, most of whom were internally displaced persons hosted by the local Catholic mission.&#8221;
&#8220;I pray that security, justice, and peace will prevail in Nigeria, a beloved country so affected by various forms of violence,&#8221; Pope Leo said before he delivered the Sunday Angelus prayer, Vatican News reported. &#8220;And I pray in a special way for the rural Christian communities in Benue State who have been unceasingly the victims of violence.&#8221;

The violence against Christians in Nigeria is not new, but last week&#8217;s massacre marks the deadliest atrocity committed against Christians in the country in recent years, according to Church in Need. Fulani herdsman, made up of Muslims, regularly threaten farming communities, made up mostly of Christians, in Benue State. Between 2023 and 2025, more than 1,000 people have been killed as the Jihadists have clashed with farmers and Nigeria&#8217;s security forces, the BBC <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyznnl4mddo">reported</a>.
According to Rev. Fr. Remigius Ihyula — director of the Justice, Peace and Development Foundation (JPDF) — the violence against Christians is part of an effort to clear the land of the Christian inhabitants.
“These Fulani militias are not just killing—they’re clearing land to claim it,” he <a href="https://www.genocidewatch.com/single-post/fulani-jihadists-massacre-over-200-christians-in-nigeria">said</a>. “And they’re being allowed to do it.”
The Nigerian government, led by Muslims, has been accused of looking the other way while radical Muslims attack and kill Christians.
“The credible evidence of who [the attackers] are is undeniable, so why is the government helpless in securing the safety of its citizens?&#8221; asked Father Moses Aondover Iorapuu, a Parish priest in Makurdi, Nigeria.

As a Coptic Christian born in Egypt and as a person who spent years in academia — including earning a Ph.D. from Emory University in Atlanta studying radical Islamic movements — I speak with authority when I warn against the menace of Islamism, which is overwhelmingly invading the West.
For decades, I’ve warned that this ideology is not just incompatible with Western civilization; it rejects coexistence entirely, seeking takeover. Crimes against Jewish Americans continue to make headlines, from the killing of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/senator-demands-feds-investigate-israel-embassy-shooting-as-domestic-terrorism?author=Nathan+Gay&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Senator+Demands+Feds+Investigate+Israel+Embassy+Shooting+As+Domestic+Terrorism">young couple</a> in Washington D.C. to the blatant antisemitic attack by an illegal <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/colorado-hits-egyptian-anti-israel-terror-suspect-with-charges-including-murder?author=Tim+Pearce&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=51&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=Colorado+Hits+Egyptian+Anti-Israel+Terror+Suspect+With+Charges+Including+Murder">Egyptian migrant</a> in Boulder, Colorado. The Jews, however, are the canaries in the coal mine. The larger target, where the sights of radical Islamists are locked, is Western civilization.
These incidents are not isolated; they’re harbingers of chaos fueled by open borders and judicial obstruction. Christians and moral people everywhere must wake up, discern the truth, and reclaim our culture before it’s lost. We must share Christ’s gospel boldly. Make no mistake about it: Even if Westerners themselves aren’t aware of it, Western civilization is the byproduct of the Christian reformation of the 14th century.
Radical Islam’s goal is clear: not compatibility, but a global caliphate. In &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/1496431502/?bestFormat=true&amp;k=the%20third%20jihad%20by%20michael%20youssef&amp;ref_=nb_sb_ss_w_scx-ent-pd-bk-d_de_k0_1_16&amp;crid=385NJPDUXR79B&amp;sprefix=the%20third%20jihad%20">The Third Jihad,&#8221;</a> I explain how a holy war is underway, not only with terror but by stealth, with some even aiming to impose an Islamic State of North America by 2050. This “third jihad,” unlike the sword-driven first jihad (622–751) or second jihad (1302–1922), uses our freedoms — migration, legal systems, cultural sway — to infiltrate and dominate. The Quran’s call to “hijrah” (jihad by migration) urges Muslims to spread Islam, viewing relocation as sacred. In Europe, chants of “Allah give victory to Islam everywhere” accompany unassimilated enclaves. France’s nine million Muslims, with birthrates outpacing natives ten to one, are building mosques and shifting culture, often rejecting Western values. Britain’s Sharia councils erode sovereignty, operating as parallel legal systems. This isn’t integration; it’s conquest.
Violence isn’t the only threat. We now face cultural erosion. Radical Islamists exploit our systems. In &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Hidden-Enemy-Aggressive-Secularism-Radical/dp/1496431456/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0">The Hidden Enemy</a>,&#8221; I noted, “The enemy without [radical Islam] seeks a caliphate; the enemy within [secular leftists] erases Judeo-Christian values.” Their alliance is stark: leftists, rejecting biblical truth, defend Sharia advocates like Linda Sarsour, who co-led the 2017 Women’s March alongside abortion and LGBTQ champions. Political correctness brands critics “Islamophobic,” shielding this pact. Secularism’s spiritual vacuum — evident since Jesse Jackson’s 1987 chant, “Western Civ has got to go!” — invites Islamists to fill the void, using welfare, courts, and media to advance their agenda. As Christianity fades, with Europe’s churches now museums, radical Islam sees our culture as “overripe fruit,” ripe for conquest. 
Recent events underscore the stakes. January 2025’s ISIS-inspired <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-agent-in-charge-who-said-new-orleans-attack-was-not-a-terrorist-event-reportedly-reassigned?author=Hank+Berrien&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=FBI+Agent+In+Charge+Who+Said+New+Orleans+Attack+Was+%E2%80%98Not+A+Terrorist+Event%E2%80%99+Reportedly+Reassigned">New Orleans attack</a>, killing 14, exposed our vulnerability. In Cyprus, recent protests <a href="https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2025/05/03/turkish-cypriots-protest-over-what-they-say-is-turkeys-introduction-of-islam-into-educatio">accused Turkey</a> of imposing political Islam, eroding secular roots — a warning for the West. X posts amplify these concerns, decrying Sharia’s quiet spread. Pacifying radicals, as we did before the Taliban’s 2021 victory, breeds extremism. Historically, Christians stopped Islamic conquests at Tours (732) and Vienna (1683). Today’s fight is spiritual and cultural, yet many Christians stay silent, cowed by “tolerance.” As I have stated before, this deception is “from the pit of hell.” Excusing non-assimilation or Sharia zones surrenders our heritage. 
The open <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/border-crisis">border crisis</a> amplifies this. Over four years, lax policies and judicial blocks have imported chaos. The Boulder attacker, an illegal migrant, embodies the risk: unchecked entry brings ideologies that fuel <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/colorado-hits-egyptian-anti-israel-terror-suspect-with-charges-including-murder?author=Tim+Pearce&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=19&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=Colorado+Hits+Egyptian+Anti-Israel+Terror+Suspect+With+Charges+Including+Murder">antisemitism and violence</a>. If we don’t enforce borders, we’ll see more D.C. and Boulder tragedies. Radical Islam isn’t here to blend in — it’s here to dominate, as my decades studying its trappings confirm. 
So, what must Christians do? First, go to God’s Word, not headlines. Second, evangelize boldly. Understand the darkness of radical Islam, but love Muslim people. The gospel is our power, so we must find the courage to share Christ with Muslim neighbors. Third, fortify churches. Pastors must preach unapologetically, equipping believers to counter secularism and Islamism. Congregations should disciple families, mentor youth, and pray for God to move. 
The stakes are eternal. In Matthew’s gospel, Jesus warned of wolves in sheep’s clothing. Radical Islam cloaks its takeover in tolerance, but its aim is a caliphate, not coexistence. Antisemitism will surge as unvetted migration grows. Yet hope endures. The early church faced Rome and won souls through love. We can, too. Christians, rise up. Share the gospel, love Muslims, defend our faith, and demand secure borders. Radical Islam banks on our silence — let’s prove them wrong.

<h3>A Conversation on Healing and the Battle for Humanity </h3>
October 7 should be a traumatic jolt for anyone who is a lover of life. We must stand united and resolved to make the world a safer place for the future generations that will follow. For if the lovers of life cannot heal the hate, we are truly lost at sea.
I met George, a doctor from Germany, at a healing retreat on Koh Pha Ngan, an island in the south of Thailand. During the first of our many conversations, I described some of the ideas that would later become these chapters, and in answer to his piqued interest, I went on to explain to him the events that took place in Israel on October 7 and the theater of the world since. We got around to the existential question on what it takes to save our world from itself, and both readily agreed in the simplicity that peace comes from love. And to love is to heal. Our conversation turned to philosophy and the infinity of the cosmos. It’s the kind of place that leads you into these thoughts. I brought up the biblical story of Jonah, the unwilling oracle, who warned the people of Nineveh, who repented without question because they came to understand the severity of the warnings and the opportunity to change. I asked George: Where is today’s Jonah to tell the haters wrong from right? To warn us of the consequences of hate?
The next morning George sat beside me and told me had he reflected on the prior evening’s discourse. “I agree,” he said with slow, carefully chosen words. “Both sides need to heal.” He saw my body tense up at the reference to “sides.” The idea of shared moral equivalence between Israel and Hamas is a typical red herring of those that will not fully condemn Hamas and stand for Israel. George gently raised a placating hand and asked me for patience. “Can you for a moment accept that there is a part of Hamas within you?” I caught my breath.
We sat in silence while I pondered this and took effort to examine George through a different lens. He has no connection to Israel; he is not affected by what happened on October 7 except that he is a lover of life and a healer and he is saddened that this event has happened in a world he deems has turned itself upside down. He lives his life in a bubble, not intentionally, but rather because he was born into it; a privileged Western bubble with all the trappings, including the luxury to question his existence and the next steps in his life. He is a good person. He is not committed to any specific ideology, except for his life and those of his patients. He is not a liberal nor does he consider himself a conservative. He will not take up a placard and join a protest. He believes that all people should live together in peace. He stays out of business that is not his to judge, because he knows his opinion will have no effect on the outcome.
It occurred to me that his apathy is part of the challenge the world faces; he places his complete trust in his government to manage the situation. He corrected me when I suggested this, and instead claimed it is humanity itself that he trusts. “Humanity will eventually find their way, they always do,” he said.
But I disagreed. “This is not a stream of water trickling through the path of least resistance,” I said. “To avoid long and painful consequences, we sometimes must act to protect humanity from and for itself.”
The impossibility of the situation Israel finds itself in is a predicament for the free world. To counter the epidemic of Global Jihad will require some sacrifice of liberty, and this can be a slippery slope. And yet, it has already begun. The UK has the most extensive and sophisticated closed-circuit video monitoring system of its kind in the world, complete with facial recognition and AI capabilities. There are few places left in London where you can escape someone watching you. This invasion of privacy is the compromise for security. But this does nothing to weed out the problem of radicalization by its roots. These bandaid solutions will only drive the Jihad further underground into the metaphorical and literal tunnels. The only long-term solution depends on overhauling how the next generation comes to see their world. Confronting the hold that the radicals have institutionalized over young people, dismantling the arenas for hate, and policing the spread of lies and calls to Jihad, is of the most critical importance. Like the cameras in London, it is not pretty to impose law and confront hate.

I returned to the present with the clang of a spoon against my metal cup. George waited for my answer. Can I accept that there is something of Hamas in all of us? It is a difficult question, because on the face of it it seems a bizarre and hurtful theory by someone who knows little about the situation on the ground. But I have come to respect George, and I knew he was not playing with me. What he asked me is if we are all capable of playing the part of Hamas if we were wearing the shoe on the other foot.
I looked across at George and asked him thoughtfully if he has siblings. “Yes,” he answered, not really sure of where I was going with this. “I have a sister, she is eight years younger than myself.” I asked him if he ever felt jealousy toward her. He assures me that he did. When she first arrived home, the focus of his entire world shifted to her. “Did you ever have evil and violent thoughts about how to deal with that? Did you plan to kill her?” I asked, to his wide-eyed look. Of course, this is extreme, but relevant. “I love my sister to this day,” he stammers. “I would never harm her.” He takes a slow breath in and admits “regardless of how much she may have infuriated me as a young boy.”
In the story of Cain and Abel. Cain, the older brother, is jealous at the acceptance of Abel’s’ sacrifice to God, and in response he kills him. Cain is new to all these powerful emotions, being only the third person to ever live, he has no context for dealing and how to manage these feelings. Leading up to the act, he could not have understood the consequences of his actions, yet as his brother lay unmoving beneath him, he realizes immediately by some intuitive force that he has committed a grave transgression. “Am I my brother’s keeper?” he responds to God, when questioned of Abel’s whereabouts, a clear defensive diversion away from the moral consequence of what he has done. There are direct lessons that can be interpreted from this story; the moral wrongness of murder, the accountability, the shame and regret, and the divine justice that follows.
In my own paraphrasing of Genesis 4:11-12, I quote; “Cain, the earth received your brother’s blood from your hand, thereby the ground will give you nothing in return, and you are banished and will walk the earth without home.” This is a very clear and powerful statement that is made, one that neither Jews, Christians, or Muslims will disagree with. A person who commits murder will become a wanderer, a refugee wherever they go. They are Cain, who was deserving of justice, even though no lawbook had ever told him murder was wrong.
What happened on October 7 was a collective sociopathic act that crossed a line from which there can be no return, not just for the Hamas terrorists that came armed with guns and bombs, but for the people of Gaza who supported the invasion and followed in its wake, rampaging through residential areas, pillaging, burning, and committing barbaric acts of rape and live dismemberment. The people of Gaza, everyday citizens, came to set fire to buildings with people still inside. If you poll Gazans today, the majority will support Hamas and celebrate the events of October 7. If you survey the Palestinian people in the lands controlled by the PA, chances are there will be a strong empathy for the Gazans whose immorality brought them to their own destruction. If you poll the Pan Arab world, you will likely find an alarming number of people in support of Hamas. 
The October 7 attacks ignited global outrage, revealing deep-seated hatred and a disturbing lack of empathy. Those who march in support of Israel’s destruction or celebrate Hamas’s violence are morally complicit in these heinous acts. Like Cain, who committed the first murder despite having no explicit prohibition, these supporters cannot claim ignorance as a defense for their actions. And this is the difference between a terrorist, a terrorist sympathizer, and a fundamentally good person. The masked people holding placards celebrating Hamas and chanting for the genocide of Jews, participating in protests and encampments, these are not just the useful idiots of Hamas, these are useful evildoers for Hamas.

As we all know, in last November’s presidential election, Donald Trump defeated what’s-her-name and left Democrats trailing Republicans in popularity by a margin of approximately everybody to nothing. Now, Democrats are trying to find a new way forward that does not involve finding a new way forward. Democrat National Committee Chairman Mao Tse Muhammed Jihad Vladimir Muhammed Allahu Akbar Stalin Jihad Mohammed recently addressed the subject in a speech entitled “How Can They Hate Us When We’re So Hep?” The Speech was delivered to the annual meeting of the Future Illegal Alien Terrorists Who Hate America of America, or the FIATWHA – and then another A. Mr. Jihad, who goes by the name of Miss Jihad and uses the pronouns He and Be, as in the sentence “He be giving me the heebee geebees,” told the gathering, “It’s time to face up to the truth. We Democrats instigated fatal riots and then pretended they weren’t happening, we opened our borders to criminals and terrorists and pretended that wasn’t happening, we sexually mutilated children in the name of a perverted fantasy, we censored anyone who disagreed with us and tried to put our political opponents in jail, and we acted with such weakness and incompetence overseas that it inspired our enemies to begin wars in both Europe and the Middle East. Now we must ask ourselves, since we’re doing everything perfectly according to plan, why the hell doesn’t the public love us like they should?”
In an attempt to refresh the party’s image, the Democrats have turned to 83-year-old Senator Bernie Sanders, a man who lived through the Communist gulags of Russia, the Communist enslavement of Eastern Europe, the Communist slaughter in China, and the Communist genocide in Cambodia without once changing his opinion that Communism works great, especially in Norway, where they don’t have it. Sanders has been declared the new face of the Democrat party and has been teamed up with Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who has been declared the new rack of the Democrat party. Asked about this arrangement, Sheldon Whitehouse, the Junior Senator from the State of Unbelievable Corruption, said “With Bernie Sanders as our new face and AOC as our new rack we will have a hideous old face with a great rack and that’s a winning combination because when you have a great rack, no one looks at your face.”

Sanders and AOC have been traveling the country staging what they call the “Rally in Favor of a Failed Economic System that has led to Enslavement and Mass Murder Wherever it’s Been Tried but For Some Reason we still Think Is Great.”
The rallies generally open with a ringing speech from Sanders who tells the crowd, “I happen to believe that billionaires should pay their fair share of utterly useless programs that nonetheless convince poor people to vote for us even as their states and cities descend into apocalyptic dysfunction because of those same programs. I happen to believe that socialism has worked really great, especially in Norway. And I happen to believe that what I happen to believe should happen to matter to every person who happens to care what an octogenarian Communist just happens to believe. And by the way, here’s AOC and, golly, will you look at the rack on that woman.”
When Sanders finishes his speech, he turns the microphone over to AOC who says, “I’ve come here today to say completely nonsensical things in a loud shrill voice full of make-believe sincerity. All across this country, I see people left behind by capitalism for no other reason than that they don’t work or contribute to society in any way. It isn’t fair. Well, okay, it actually is kind of fair, but it isn’t right. And even if it is right, I think there are enough total wastrels who feel entitled to a portion of the wealth created by other people that we might have enough votes to turn this country around. And hey, my eyes are up here. Why aren’t you looking in my eyes?”
So far the rallies have been filled with thousands of cheering people, most of them Republicans who feel they’ll never lose an election again.

Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa called for “national unity and domestic peace” after militants aligned with the president, brutally slaughtering hundreds of minorities on Syria&#8217;s coastal areas.
“We have to preserve national unity and domestic peace; we can live together,” Sharaa said on Sunday during a speech broadcast from a mosque near his childhood neighborhood in Damascus.
Al-Sharaa said that Syria has the &#8220;characteristics for survival” and what is “currently happening in Syria is within the expected challenges.”
The Syrian leader also announced the launch of a “fact-finding committee” into the murders and said “anyone involved in civilian bloodshed” would be held accountable.
The fighting began on Thursday after members of the Alawite minority — a Shia-offshoot aligned with deposed former Syrian president Bashar al-Assad — launched attacks on the new regime’s security forces at checkpoints.
Assad was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/who-is-syrian-rebel-leader-mohammad-al-jolani" target="_blank" rel="noopener">toppled by al-Shaara</a> and his U.S.-designated terrorist organization, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), in December. Once affiliated with Al-Qaeda and ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, al-Shaara had a $10 million <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c07gv3j818ko" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FBI bounty</a> for almost a decade before being lifted in 2024.
In retaliation, Sharaa-aligned fighters launched brutal revenge killings, some of which were recorded and posted online. <a href="https://www.syriahr.com/en/357483/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">According to</a> the United Kingdom-based watchdog, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), women and children were killed and residents of the predominantly Alawite neighborhood of al-Ramlah in the coastal city of Jabalah reported homes being burned and looted.
At least 745 Alawite civilians have been killed in the Syrian port cities of Latakia and Tartous, according to SOHR. An additional 300 members of government security forces and 148 Assad-aligned militants were reportedly killed in the clashes as well.
Syrian authorities blamed the executions on unruly militias who came to help the security forces, according to the Times of Israel. Syrian Kurdish armed groups blamed some of the executions of civilians on Turkish-backed Islamist factions, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/syrias-sharaa-says-developments-within-expected-challenges-clashes-continue-arab-2025-03-09/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reuters reported</a>.
<a href="https://greekcitytimes.com/2025/03/08/syria-turkey-backed-jihadists/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">According to the Greek City Times</a>, some Christians were killed, including two Antiochian Greeks, Tony Petrus and his son, Fadi. The outlet also reported that a Christian icon on Tartous was desecrated. The heads of Syria’s Christian Churches released <a href="https://orthodoxtimes.com/patriarchs-of-syria-condemn-escalating-violence-call-for-peace-and-national-reconciliation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a joint statement</a> last week condemning the bloodshed and urging national reconciliation.
“Homes have been violated, their sanctity disregarded, and properties looted — scenes that starkly reflect the immense suffering endured by the Syrian people,” the Patriarchs said. “We strongly condemn any act that threatens civil peace and denounce the massacres targeting innocent civilians. These horrific acts stand in stark opposition to all human and moral values,” they stated.
Following al-Sharaa’s calls, fighting erupted again at Syria’s Banias gas power plant between Syria’s new security forces and “remnants of the former regime,&#8221; <a href="https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/3/9/syrias-president-calls-for-peace-calm-amid-brutal-clashes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> the state-run Syrian news agency SANA. SOHR reported that Sharaa-allied gunmen stormed a town in the Baniyas countryside where they looted and set fire to homes.
Following the violence, the delivery of food and basic goods to the areas has been suspended, according to SOHR. SOHR <a href="https://www.syriahr.com/en/357485/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">also reported</a> that residents complained about interruption of electricity and drinking water and the suspension of work at bread bakeries.
The clashes have slowed following Syrian security forces surrounding an estimated 5,000 pro-Assad insurgents hiding in mountainous areas, <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/syrian-leader-al-sharaa-calls-for-peace-as-country-sees-deadliest-violence-in-years/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported the Times of Israel</a>.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio condemned the murders by “radical Islamic terrorists, including foreign jihadis” in a <a href="https://www.state.gov/the-escalation-of-fighting-and-civilian-deaths-in-syria/">statement</a> on Sunday.
“The United States stands with Syria’s religious and ethnic minorities, including its Christian, Druze, Alawite, and Kurdish communities, and offers its condolences to the victims and their families,” Rubio said. “Syria’s interim authorities must hold the perpetrators of these massacres against Syria’s minority communities accountable.”
The leader of a rebel pseudo-government in northwestern Syria, al-Shaara has been accused of grave human rights violations and has <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/syrias-new-leaders-turn-islamic-law-effort-rebuild-assads-police-2025-01-23/">reported plans</a> to impose strict sharia law in the country. But he’s also sought to reinvent himself as a moderate force for a tolerant Syria.
He has repeatedly denied that he was a terrorist, including in a PBS interview where he said “it’s a political label that carries no truth or credibility.”
While ruling Idlib province before taking all of Syria, al-Shaara tried to appeal to various minority communities, including the Druze and the Kurds. During a CNN interview, al-Shaara acknowledged that minority groups such as Christians have suffered from jihadist groups during the Syrian civil war, but said they will live safely under the new regime.
“There were some violations against [minorities] by certain individuals during periods of chaos, but we addressed these issues,” al-Jolani said. “No one has the right to erase another group. These sects have coexisted in this region for hundreds of years, and no one has the right to eliminate them.”
Despite his promises to minorities, al-Shaara’s former ties to ISIS and prominent terrorists in the region known for persecuting minorities caused distrust, even before the recent clashes.

President-elect Donald Trump bloodied Mexico and Canada with diplomatic buckshot <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/113546215051155542" target="_blank" rel="noopener">earlier this week</a> by writing that, on his first day in office, he’ll levy devastating <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-unveils-tariff-ultimatums-against-canada-mexico-and-china" target="_blank" rel="noopener">25% trade tariffs</a> on those two U.S. neighbors if they fail to crack down on illegal immigration and drug trafficking.
Much public puzzlement has filled international media coverage over why Trump would single out Canada for punishment equal to that of the far guiltier Mexico. 
“To compare us to Mexico is the most insulting thing I’ve ever heard from our friends and closest allies, the United States of America,” <a href="https://apnews.com/article/canada-trump-tariffs-mexico-12e925cfc44432140d0a776503e095ae" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ontario Premier Doug Ford said.</a> “I found his comments unfair. I found them insulting. It’s like a family member stabbing you right in the heart.” 
“We shouldn’t confuse the Mexican border with the Canadian border,” Canadian Industry Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne said.
But this narrative seems intended to deflect public acknowledgement of what the liberal progressive government of Justin Trudeau did in fact do to draw Trump’s tariff ire. In terms of immigration policy, the Canadian offenses are indeed much different from Mexico’s open super-highway mass migration wave-throughs during the Biden-Harris years. But Canada’s policies have, arguably, damaged U.S. national security and public safety interests in harmful ways that media outlets on both sides rarely report.
<h3>Canada’s Massive Legal Immigration Program As A U.S. National Security Threat </h3>
Much of the damage arises from an historic <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63643912" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Canadian legal immigrant importation program</a> of unprecedented scope. Since the program’s 2021 implementation, the Great White North has imported some 1.5 million foreign national workers (400,000+ per year for a country of 38 million) from dozens of developing nations and hundreds of thousands of <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-67964674">foreign students in 2023 alone</a> – making it another record-breaking year.
Why are those programs a U.S. problem? Because a spiking number of foreign nationals are apparently abusing the Canadian programs as a lily pad from which to illegally enter the United States between northern border land ports of entry, among them <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/suspected-terrorist-from-jordan-arrested-us-northern-border-ice">proven threats</a> to U.S. national security and public safety.
Why this traffic leaking into the United States is a problem – even though the total numbers illegally entering from Canada are small relative to those crossing from Mexico – arises from the fact that many hail from Muslim-majority nations and have, Canadian media reports, fueled a <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/canadas-jihadi-crisis-should-worry-america-opinion-1961520" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spate of terrorism</a> and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trudeau-blasted-for-dancing-while-montreal-burned-during-anti-semitic-riot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">anti-Semitic attacks</a> throughout Canada. In addition, far too many of the Mexicans Canada has allowed in turned out to be cartel drug traffickers and killers.
These are the kinds of criminals crossing the U.S. northern border in increasing numbers due to Canadian policies — policies Canada could address if it wanted to.
Consider that U.S. Border Patrol apprehensions in the brush between U.S.-Canada land ports of entry jumped from 2,238 in 2022 to 23,721 in 2024, neatly coinciding with Trudeau’s mass legal immigration programs.
Among those crossing illegally from Canada, for instance, were 15,827 Indian nationals in 2023 and 2024, 8,367 Mexicans, and 3,833 from unspecified countries listed only as “Other” on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s public statistics website.

<h3>A Border-Crossing Terror Plot Foiled</h3>
Concerns on both sides of the northern border have been simmering for some years as Canadians witness newcomers carrying out <a href="https://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/news/2024/father-and-son-arrested-terrorism-offences">terror plots</a>, actual attacks, and perhaps some of the record-breaking nearly <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/bnai-brith-antisemitic-report-record-high-1.7195197" target="_blank" rel="noopener">6,000 antisemitic incidents</a> Canada has logged since the Israel-Hamas war broke out.
What’s been happening in Canada was obvious to many.
“Canada has become a hotbed of radicalization, fanaticism, and jihadism,” wrote Casey Babb, Senior Fellow with the Macdonald-Laurier Institute in <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/canadas-jihadi-crisis-should-worry-america-opinion-1961520" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Newsweek shortly after the arrest</a>. “As un-Canadian as it sounds, Canada has a terrorism crisis on its hands and that should worry the United States for a whole host of reasons.”
<a href="https://macdonaldlaurier.ca/isis-and-its-violent-central-asian-chapter-are-threatening-canada-and-the-west-with-jihad-are-we-ready-to-fight-back-hussain-ehsani-for-inside-policy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Concern</a> would reach an apogee in October 2024, when a joint U.S.-Canadian counterterrorism operation thwarted a plot by a Pakistani student <a href="https://cis.org/Bensman/Meanwhile-Northern-Border-Jihadist-Attack-New-York-Thwarted" target="_blank" rel="noopener">on a Canadian visa</a> to illegally cross the northern border to conduct an October 2024 massacre of Jews in New York.
Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a 20-year-old Pakistani citizen legally issued a Canadian student visa in June 2023, <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/pakistani-national-charged-plotting-terrorist-attack-new-york-city-support-isis-0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">now stands accused</a> in U.S. federal court of plotting an illegal-smuggler-assisted northern border crossing to carry out a mass shooting of Jews in New York City to celebrate with blood the October 7 anniversary of the Hamas massacre in Israel. Khan hoped it would go down in history as “the largest U.S. attack since 9/11.”
“We are going to nyc (sic) to slaughter them” with AR-style rifles and hunting knives “so we can slit their throats,” Khan told an undercover FBI agent he believed to be a co-conspirator, according to <a href="https://www.justice.gov/d9/2024-09/u.s._v._khan_complaint_0.pdf?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an agent complaint</a>. “Even if we don’t attack an event we could rack up easily a lot of Jews.”
His was among the record-breaking <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-67964674" target="_blank" rel="noopener">400,000 foreign student visas</a> Canada issued in 2023.
That alarming new terrorism prosecution in New York State should have been enough to renew Trump’s interest in turning diplomatic pressure onto Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau’s mass legal immigration policies and border security on its side.
But terrorists cannot be the only concern.
<h3>Mexican Cartel Killers And Traffickers In Canada Crossing Too</h3>
The incoming Trump administration will need to force resolution of another issue regarding U.S. public safety concerns dating back to an especially damaging 2016 Trudeau move that did great harm until it was addressed just recently. Trudeau <a href="https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2016/12/canada-lifts-visa-requirement-mexico-1.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rescinded 2009 visa requirements</a> on Mexican citizens and against the <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/mexico-visa-restrictions-lifting-three-amigos-1.3648757" target="_blank" rel="noopener">advice of his own government</a>. Mexican criminals would abuse the policy to fly in at will and bedevil both Canadian and northern American cities.
That all began in early 2017. A sustained surge was underway of Mexican nationals who, unable to easily cross the southern border under Trump 1.0, were flying over the United States into Canada. They would claim Canadian asylum and cross southward over the less tended northern U.S. border.
Among them were the predicted Mexican cartel operatives.
Leaked Canada Border Services Agency <a href="https://globalnews.ca/news/3578905/justin-trudeau-mexican-visa-more-criminals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">intelligence reports</a> said Mexican &#8220;drug smugglers, human smugglers, recruiters, money launders and foot soldiers&#8221; were turning up in greater numbers than ever before. The cartels went to work building human smuggling networks to move other Mexicans south over the American border, just as they did all along the southern border.
In July 2017, Global News quoted <a href="https://globalnews.ca/news/3578905/justin-trudeau-mexican-visa-more-criminals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the intelligence reports</a> saying the ultra-violent Sinaloa cartel had turned up in Canada to &#8220;facilitate travel to Canada by Mexicans with criminal records.&#8221; Others identified included La Familia Michoacana, Jalisco New Generation, and Los Zetas.
For instance, whereas the reports said 37 Mexicans linked to organized criminal groups had entered between 2012 and 2015, 65 involved in &#8220;serious crimes&#8221; were identified midway through just 2017, compared to 28 in 2015. By May 2019, at least <a href="https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/cnt/trnsprnc/brfng-mtrls/prlmntry-bndrs/20200621/fp001/index-en.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">400 Mexican criminals</a> connected to drug trafficking, including sicario hitmen, were plying their trades in Canada, at least half of them in Quebec, according to a May 24, 2019, report in the <a href="https://torontosun.com/news/crime/100s-of-drug-cartel-members-have-entered-canada-since-liberals-waived-mexican-visa-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Toronto Sun</a> and other Canadian <a href="https://tnc.news/2019/05/25/canadian-authorities-have-lost-track-of-400-mexican-hit-men-and-drug-traffickers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">media outlets</a>.
All had entered through the Trudeau visa loophole for Mexicans.
By the end of 2019, Canada saw a <a href="https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-mexican-ambassador-cautions-against-re-imposing-visas-to-address/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">1,400% spike</a> in the number of bogus Mexican <a href="https://globalnews.ca/news/4042075/mexico-refugee-claims-spike-visa-lift/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">refugee claims</a>, the vast majority naturally rejected, and of associated <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/us-canada-immigration-mexico-detention/canadas-detention-of-mexicans-surges-after-visa-lift-idUSKBN1942IW" target="_blank" rel="noopener">detentions</a>.
<h3>Canada Finally About To Face The Music</h3>
Only in February 2024 did the Americans pressure the Canadians to finally <a href="https://apnews.com/article/canada-mexico-visa-requirement-59cf64c5d74271cb2e3f40970ffb4786" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reimpose some visa restrictions</a> on Mexicans — though not all. Now, only Mexicans who already <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/canada-will-reinstate-some-visa-requirements-mexicans-says-cbc-2024-02-28/">hold a U.S. visa</a> or old Canadian one can travel visa-free, while most other Mexicans with neither will have to apply for a Canadian one.
The damage is already done, but there&#8217;s always a chance Trudeau could revert to visa-free once again.
From January to mid-October 2022, for instance, 7,698 Mexican asylum seekers took direct flights from Mexico City to Montreal, according to <a href="https://nationalpost.com/pmn/news-pmn/canada-news-pmn/the-number-of-mexican-asylum-seekers-in-canada-has-increased-dramatically">a November 2022 Canadian Press story</a>.
The paper quoted officials at nonprofit refugee assistance groups attesting that most fly to Canada because they found out Trudeau’s visa-free policy also got them government financial assistance while awaiting their mostly denied asylum applications.
In their October 2021 book, &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Wolfpack-Millennial-Mobsters-Canadian-Underworld/dp/0735275394" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Wolfpack: The Millennial Mobsters Who Brought Chaos and the Cartels to the Canadian Underworld</a>,&#8221; journalists Peter Edwards and Luis Najera established that the Sinaloa Cartel now <a href="https://insightcrime.org/news/how-mexican-cartels-settled-canada/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">has a foothold</a> across eastern Canada, with “solid control of cocaine shipments in and out of Canada.” The Arellano Felix group has its foothold in Vancouver and in the state of Alberta.
The Zetas are in Canada “involved with temporary migrant workers.”
Asked in 2023 if Canada’s importance to Mexican organized crime had increased “in recent years,” co-author Luis Najera answered: “I would say it has increased since criminal cells moved up north to settle and expand operations here. It is also strategic to have groups operating north of the U.S. border, close to key places such as Chicago and New York, and without the scrutiny of the DEA and rival groups.”
Canada is not Mexico but its policies pose consequences for the United States.
Any normal U.S. administration would put Canada on the hook for adjusting its policies and more robustly guarding its supposedly treasured neighboring ally, the United States, from harm. If punishing trade tariffs finally focus Canada’s attention on those policy-driven harms, let them last until Canada fixes what it recklessly broke.

A brief trip back to my native Britain the other week was a depressing experience.
There has been widespread rioting in cities across England following the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/more-than-a-dozen-people-mostly-children-stabbed-by-17-year-old-male-in-u-k-multiple-fatalities-reported" target="_blank" rel="noopener">murder</a> of three young girls in Southport at a Taylor Swift dance class.
A large number of Brits, I think it is fair to say, are extremely <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/people-have-finally-had-enough-of-the-illegal-immigration-takeover" target="_blank" rel="noopener">agitated</a> about uncontrolled (often illegal) immigration. Tens of thousands of migrants have been allowed to flood into the country on small dinghies from France. 1 in 27 people now living in Britain arrived in the past two years. 4 in 10 foreign-born people in Britain have arrived in the past decade. 
There is a palpable sense that nothing in Britain runs the way it should, least of all the criminal justice system.
The number of <a href="https://rapecrisis.org.uk/get-informed/statistics-sexual-violence/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recorded rapes</a> in England and Wales in 2023-24 was three times higher than in 2013-14. A recent investigation discovered that across much of the country, the police had not identified a single suspect for neighborhood crimes over the previous three years. Only a few weeks before the unrest erupted, the authorities announced that even violent offenders would be released from prison after serving a mere 40 percent of their sentences.
Then came the riots, and the authorities suddenly discovered that it is possible to arrest and prosecute criminals after all. Prosecutions that would normally take months to come to court were undertaken within a few days. That, plus the return of British rain, seems to have dampened the spirits of the troublemakers.
Instead of clamping down on immigration, or addressing some of the underlying concerns about Muslim integration (or lack thereof), the authorities seem to find it easier to clamp down on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-uks-orwellian-crackdown-on-free-speech-could-be-headed-our-way" target="_blank" rel="noopener">free speech</a>, prosecuting people for obnoxious opinions about either immigrants or Muslims expressed online.
The most senior official in charge of public prosecutions in Britain declared that he has a team of “dedicated police officers scouring social media” to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/uk-police-chief-suggests-he-would-arrest-americans-for-highlighting-british-riots-online" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrest people</a> for posting things that are “insulting” or “abusive”. He even threatened to extradite people to the UK for sharing such material online.
All of this has helped contribute to the now widely held idea that Britain has a “two tier” criminal justice system.
Having cheerfully announced that they would be letting violent criminals out of prison after completing less than half their sentences a few weeks before, the authorities now threaten people with jail time for expressing idiotic views. In Cheshire, the police boasted of arresting a woman for what they called “an inaccurate social media post”.
In order to fully understand why Britain is in such a sorry state it is essential to appreciate what has gone wrong with the country’s judiciary.
Mass immigration has become an explosive issue in Britain because judges have routinely thwarted attempts by successive governments to control it. In 2010, 2015, 2017 and 2019, Brits voted repeatedly to end mass immigration. It has not happened because judges have systematically prevented elected governments from controlling the country’s borders.
British judges only ever seem to rule in favor of those who enter the country illegally being able to remain, ruling on the basis of what they think the law should be, not the laws Parliament has passed. 
  
Britain, a once orderly, high-trust society has become increasingly lawless because judges have routinely failed to apply sentences that ordinary Brits would regard as just. It is so commonplace for violent robbers and rapists to be given community sentences, rather than go to prison, it is seldom even reported anymore.
Why are British judges so awful? Because they are unaccountable to the public.
In Britain, judges are appointed, not elected. Until 2006, at least the appointments were made by an elected minister, meaning there was a degree of democratic oversight. 
  
Since 2006, Britain’s judges have been appointed by the Judicial Appointments Commission, a body obsessed about diversity, equity and inclusion, rather than justice. Thanks to Human Rights law, judges are not merely unaccountable. They regard judicial activism as part of their job.
Liberty and order in Britain are collapsing as a consequence.
At some point, we must all hope a new Margaret Thatcher emerges in Britain, someone with the vision and principle to save the country from decline. On its current trajectory, Britain is drifting towards the abyss of a sectarian society.
In 2001, there were one and a half million Muslims in Britain. Today there are 4 million. If even a small percentage of British Muslims adhere to the Islamist teachings of Sayyid Qutb, the Egyptian father of modern violent jihad, the country has a massive problem. Far from addressing the problem, right now Britain is a country that cannot even talk about the fact that it might have a problem.
Any new Thatcher must, as she did, address an underlying British economic malaise. Thanks to net zero energy policies, extraordinary restrictive regulations, high taxes and excessive public spending, the UK has had remarkably little per capita growth over the past decade.
But far more important than fixing the economy, Britain needs a state machinery capable of addressing issues of culture and cohesion. Old assumptions, and long established precedents governing citizenship, will need to change.
For that to happen, the next Thatcher needs to recognize that much of the machinery of the British state is dysfunctional. Reform is overdue.
Judges need to come under some sort of democratic oversight. Senior civil servants must no longer be afforded the luxury of deciding whether to implement policies that clash with their preferences. Those elected to Parliament, not unelected officials, need to be able to decide if the country can afford to cut taxes.
Britain can only be pulled back from the brink by a leader that recognizes that it is time to treat the judiciary and the administrative state as Thatcher once treated the trade unions.

Tommy Robinson: In all honesty, I didn&#8217;t want to do this. I didn&#8217;t want to be the person. I wanted to take a stand, but I didn&#8217;t want to. I wanted to be successful in business. I wanted to make money. My passion was making money. I was good at it. We were doing well as a family. But I wanted someone to speak about it.
Jordan B. Peterson: Do you know the parable of the rich man?
Robinson: No. What&#8217;s that?
Peterson: Well, it is a Gospel story. I&#8217;m going to tell it because I see the problem that you are in. There is a scene in the Gospels where Christ is traveling in a cart, and a rich prince jumps in to accompany him, and he tells Christ that he&#8217;s done everything he should do in his life to be a moral person. He has followed the commandments, he honors his parents, and so on. But he is still dissatisfied deep in his soul, and Christ asks him about his situation. He tells Christ he&#8217;s rich, that he has all these concerns going, and Jesus says to him, I&#8217;m afraid you&#8217;re going to have to sell everything you own and follow me. And the disciples are shorted right out by this, and they say, if that is the cost of salvation, who is going to pay that?
I was thinking about that and the story of Jonah at the same time when you were talking because Jonah is called upon by God to speak the truth, and he just heads in the other direction. He thinks exactly like you thought: I don&#8217;t think so. Who would do that? Who wants to do that?
But that still does not quite answer the question; you said that you are caught, right? You are pulled because, on the one hand, you want to have your life and you want to be successful; on the other hand, you want to tell the truth. So the name was a compromise between that.
Robinson: I wore a mask for a year. Almost no one knew who I was for a year.
Peterson: So looking back on that now, do you think that was a mistake that you made to protect your life and your enterprise? I am not saying that was not justifiable because there is a price, obviously, for anonymity. There is a price for not being public. It breeds suspicion, for example. What do you think about that?

Robinson: So I think the best thing that ever happened was when I got unmasked — the best. It was. Not for me. I was terrified. So there was a Times newspaper reporter called Stephen Bird, and I&#8217;d been hiding for a year. I&#8217;m talking about all these issues secretly on radios, and I&#8217;m giving the name Tommy Robinson, and I&#8217;m turning up to demonstrations with a mask on my face. No one saw my face, so no one knew who I was. So there was lots of confusion. Who is this guy? No one knew. 
And then a Times newspaper journalist turned up at my mum&#8217;s house and said, “Where’s Stephen?” And my mum rang me and said, “There&#8217;s a journalist here looking for you.” And I knew then, ok, this is it. And I went to meet the journalist and he said, “You&#8217;re on the front page of the Times newspaper tomorrow, Stephen. Your life changes tomorrow.” And I was terrified, if I&#8217;m honest. Absolutely terrified. Because then I was nationally known at this point. 
So, we set up United People of Luton, and then after our second protest where we got to the War Memorial, we put the video online. And this Islamic group of jihadists, they held an Islamic roadshow in Birmingham. And they had a big banner that said, “Jesus was a Muslim,” and there&#8217;s hundreds of them. They stop a young 11-year-old white Christian boy called Sean in the shopping center who&#8217;s with his friend, and they get him up on stage and they convert him to Islam. As they convert him to Islam, they&#8217;re all cheering “Allahu Akbar.” And I watched it then from Luton and said, “No, they can&#8217;t do this. That cannot be allowed to happen in a city center for a child.” So I said, “All right lads,” to the lads from Luton, “we&#8217;re going to Birmingham. We&#8217;re going to move this from Luton. This isn&#8217;t a Luton issue. This is a national issue.”
We went to Birmingham, and we formed the English Defence League. And that&#8217;s where the name English Defence League come from. Now, when we went to Birmingham, we went as a group of 50 — 50 men from Luton. We got violently battered. This is where my first awakening to the media come. So, there&#8217;s a picture up. (This boy wasn’t with us.) There’s a young English boy at a bus stop with a green top on and gangs of Muslims just come from everywhere. They battered everyone. And there&#8217;s a picture in the national newspaper, and they&#8217;re jumping on this boy&#8217;s head. And underneath the picture, it says, “A fascist is attacked by anti-fascists.” 
I&#8217;m looking at it, and I remember I had an awakening to everything because I went from working on a building site to six months later leading the biggest protest movement in Europe’s scene. And when we went to Birmingham as a group of 50, we had English Defence League tops on, and it said, “Luton Division,” the name of our town. And these images went everywhere, of English men getting chased and beaten. So this was Birmingham, and our first banner said, “Victims of Jihad in Nigeria. We stand with you,” because obviously, I was down the rabbit hole.
I was seeing on Christmas Day, five [Nigerian] Christian churches were blown to pieces. Didn’t make the BBC news. I was following all these stories around the world of Christians facing persecution at the hands of jihad. No one cared. So we went to Birmingham before, [saying,] “Let’s highlight a lot of issues here. Let&#8217;s make this a point.” And we had banners. We had placards, but we got violently —  The police had to lock us in a building for two hours because they couldn&#8217;t control the streets. Then they got buses and put us on the buses to get us out of there, and all the windows were coming in. There was riots going on. 
So from this, we then went back to Luton, and then we saw a Christian church in Manchester that had been taken over by Muslims, which there’s been another video go viral just weeks ago. Similar situation. It was in the area of Longsight, and they were bulldozing over a Christian graveyard, graves and headstones. So, I was watching it going, they can&#8217;t do this. How come no one&#8217;s talking about this in the town? Where&#8217;s the local political voice? Where&#8217;s the politicians?
Now, we went from a group of 50 men in Birmingham being violently beaten, to going on all the messaging boards of English football clubs, then turned up in Manchester, and when we got there, there was thousands of young Englishmen had come from everywhere. And from the start, because of the violence in Birmingham, the men had come with an attitude of, “No, we&#8217;re not backing down.” So that was sort of the start and the birth of the English Defence League, which every city you went to, there was a justified reason for going there, but no one ever spoke about that.

And then I realized very quickly that everything I&#8217;d seen in Luton, everything I talked about in Luton, was happening in every town and city. So then I started meeting families; their daughters were missing for weeks, and then I started hearing all these stories. And it&#8217;s one thing to read about grooming, and that&#8217;s why I made a five-part series — the one you talked about that you watched — because you don&#8217;t get to feel the pain. I&#8217;m sitting with a mother, a father, and a brother who&#8217;s 13-year-old daughter has been missing for five days, and the police are doing nothing. 
I remember going on big chat shows in 2009. Jeremy Paxman was the most feared BBC presenter, and he had a show called Newsnight. And when I went on, everyone was all our opposition at the time, and I was terrified again. And it was the first time my mum— So my family had been crying since the time I started my activism because my mum was threatened of her job. There was violence, police raids, terrorist plots. So my family were begging me and begging me to stop. And I went on this Jeremy Paxman show. And I said to him, “I don&#8217;t expect you to understand, but I expect you to listen. Our daughters are being taken. They&#8217;re being groomed; they&#8217;re being raped. They&#8217;re being prostituted in every town and city.” And he said, “You expect us to believe…” And it hasn&#8217;t aged well for him at all. Because in the early days, we were condemned as fabricating stories and making this up. So you understand the level where I&#8217;m at.
With the father from Blackpool, the gang took his daughter. The father and the son would ring the phone, and he&#8217;d have to listen while they were raping his daughter. So, we go across the country — and I&#8217;ve done a presentation called “The Rape of Britain,” as well as documentaries — and I go back to us marching through Telford. And now, the arrest rates for these crimes, if you do a graph, there&#8217;s none. The English Defence League forms in 2009. By 2010 and 2011, the arrests are going through the roof. We didn&#8217;t expect any credit for it or any recognition for it, but the government were then faced with something they knew was going on.

An Unlikely Activist: Tommy Robinson On The Unrest In The UK

Paris and London are &#8220;no longer recognizable&#8221; thanks to the inundation of &#8220;jihad,&#8221; according to former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a>, who warned on Wednesday that the U.S. must guard against following a similar path.
Trump made the remarks at a campaign rally in Wisconsin on Wednesday night where he said his comments would get him &#8220;into a lot of trouble with the folks in Paris and the folks in London.&#8221;
“We’ve seen what happened when Europe opened their doors to jihad. Look at Paris, look at London — they’re no longer recognizable,&#8221; Trump said, adding, &#8220;They are no longer recognizable, and we can’t let that happen to our country.”
“We have incredible culture, tradition — nothing wrong with their culture, their tradition — we can’t let that happen here and I’ll never let it happen to the United States of America,&#8221; the former president continued.

Anti-Israel protests have broken out in both London and Paris in the months following Hamas&#8217; attack on Israel. On November 11, also known as Armistice Day, tens of thousands of anti-Israel demonstrators <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-palestinian-protesters-fill-london-on-armistice-day" target="_blank" rel="noopener">flooded</a> the streets of London, waving Palestinian flags. Paris has also seen recent anti-Israel <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/students-block-paris-sciences-po-university-over-gaza-war-2024-04-26/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">protests</a> pop up at universities in the city, during some of which police have had to step in to prevent any violence.
France has seen an explosion in Muslim migrants since the early 2010s with over half a million coming to the country between 2010 and 2016 alone, according to <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2017/11/29/europes-growing-muslim-population/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pew Research</a>. The U.K., meanwhile, took in nearly 700,000 Muslim migrants over the same time period.
Trump caused outrage with his comments in 2015 when he said after a terrorist attack took place in the French capital, “They have areas in Paris where it is so radicalized and so vicious … that the police refuse to go there,&#8221; POLITICO <a href="https://www.politico.eu/article/trump-says-paris-london-are-no-longer-recognizable/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
&#8220;That’s what’s going to happen with our country,” he added.

He made a similar comment about London at the time, saying, “London and other places … are so radicalized that the police are afraid for their own lives.”
Upon entering the White House in 2017, Trump signed an executive order either suspending or severely limiting people from multiple Muslim-majority countries from being admitted into the U.S. Last year, Trump <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-bring-back-travel-ban-muslim-countries/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">promised</a> to bring the travel ban back if he wins a second term in the White House.
&#8220;When I return to office, the travel ban is coming back even bigger than before and much stronger than before,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We don&#8217;t want people blowing up our shopping centers. We don&#8217;t want people blowing up our cities, and we don&#8217;t want people stealing our farms. So it&#8217;s not gonna happen.&#8221;

Days after three American soldiers were murdered by Iran, the Biden Administration has finally retaliated by firing missiles into Iraq and Syria where they made scary exploding noises so loud the Iranians could almost hear them all the way in Iran and, boy oh boy, wouldn’t they have been frightened then? 
State Department Spokesman John Kirby said the U.S. warned the Iranians that something really scary was going to happen in Iraq and Syria so that the Iranians would be so frightened, they&#8217;d have to stay in Iran where it was safe. Kirby said, “My hope was the Iranians would scream in terror, and we could laugh at them and say they sounded like women. You can bet they wouldn’t like that very much so it would be quite some time before they thought about murdering any more of our soldiers, believe you me.”
Later, Kirby changed his story and said the State Department had not warned the Iranians before the attack and the fault lay with CBS News who had publicized the upcoming attacks after receiving a press release about them from the State Department.
President and Venal Houseplant Joe Biden made a statement about the retaliatory attacks in a speech to several statues in the Capitol rotunda whom he mistook for other long-dead people he thought he’d been talking to recently. Biden said, “These meaningless attacks on places far from Iran are just the first of many meaningless attacks we plan to unleash on far away places. Like maybe Texas. I hate those people. The Iranians will just have to live in fear because they will never know where or when the next meaningless attack will fall on someplace far away until the very moment when we warn them about it to make sure they’re safely in Iran. As president, this is the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make because it means people will die — all right, not die, but you know what I mean. They would die if one of these missiles hit them, although I don’t see how that could possibly happen so that made the decision somewhat easier. But don’t for a minute think that military action is our only planned response to Iran. We’re also letting them build nuclear weapons so we won’t be able to attack them anymore because they’ll have nuclear weapons and those things are really dangerous. Then when we don’t attack them they won’t be mad at us and will stop murdering our soldiers, so problem solved. Also we’ll make sure not to put any more sanctions on them so they can make a lot of money selling oil which only makes sense because nuclear weapons are expensive and if they can’t afford them, the whole plan falls apart. After that, we’re going to draw a line in the sand, probably in the desert in Syria somewhere near where we fired the missiles, to let them know we will not tolerate their killing any more Americans — unless they just want to cross our southern border and kill them here, then I don’t know how we could possibly stop them. All in all, I am telling you this is a great victory, just like in Afghanistan when we retreated in humiliating chaos and I then told you it was a great victory. So this is just like that.”

In the same speech, according to one of the statues who was there, the president also reiterated his support for his vice president, saying, “I didn’t just appoint this historic sort of black person Camela or Kamahla or whatever the hell she calls herself. I also love her. And her hair smells great. So she’s on the team, unless I’m still alive in November, then I gotta dump her cause no one can stand her, but that seems unlikely. I’m barely alive as it is.”
The spokesman for the Iranian military, Mohammed Jihad Mohammed Jihad Jihad Jihad Mohammed, responded to the president’s threats by saying, “Americans can sleep soundly in their beds tonight, knowing that we will be shaking in our boots as we creep quietly into their bedrooms. I hope this will reassure them so they don’t do anything dangerous, like re-electing Donald Trump.”
