President Donald Trump promised that he would carry out a historic mass deportation campaign once he took office one year ago.
Since then, federal authorities have deported more than 670,000 illegal immigrants. Additionally, roughly 1.9 million illegal immigrants have left the United States on their own.
“On President Trump’s first day in office, he unleashed ICE to target the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens, including pedophiles, murderers, gang members, terrorists, and rapists,” Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement shared with The Daily Wire.
“Today, we thank our law enforcement for a record-breaking first year of achievements including more than 670,000 removals and two million self-deportations. DHS is committed to continuing to remove dangerous illegal aliens from American communities. 70% of ICE arrests [are] of criminal illegal aliens who have been convicted or charged with a crime in the U.S. We will not rest until American communities are free of the scourge of illegal alien crime,&#8221; she added.
The Department of Homeland Security shared the &#8220;worst&#8221; illegal immigrants nabbed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement since Inauguration Day with The Daily Wire. Here are their rap sheets.
ICE officers arrested Uzbek national Akhror Bozorov, who was wanted in his home country for belonging to a terrorist organization, on November 9 in Kansas while he was working as a commercial truck driver.
They also nabbed Afghan national Jaan Shah Safi in Waynesboro, Virginia, in December after he provided support to the ISIS-K, while his father was found to be a commander of a militia group in Afghanistan. Safi entered the United States during former President Joe Biden&#8217;s &#8220;Operation Allies Welcome,&#8221; which brought over thousands of Afghans following the botched troop withdrawal.
In April, ICE arrested Harpreet Singh, an illegal immigrant who was wanted in India for his ties to terrorist activities that included planning more than a dozen grenade attacks on police officials, according to DHS. Singh crossed the border illegally during the Biden administration and was swiftly admitted into the country.
MS-13 leader Rene Escobar-Ochoa, who had an INTERPOL Red Notice from El Salvador for drug trafficking and conspiracy to commit murder, was arrested by ICE in July.
The Trump administration has also targeted Tren de Aragua gangbangers, including Yorvis Michel Carrascal Campo, who was charged with murder, racketeering, and drug trafficking in New Mexico. ICE arrested the Venezuelan gang member in Colorado Springs on January 8.
Campo allegedly took part in a brutal kidnapping, where gangbangers strangled the victim in a New Mexico apartment before they buried his body in the remote desert, <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-nm/pr/eleven-tda-members-indicted-new-mexico-rico-conspiracy-and-violent-acts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Department of Justice.
ICE arrested the now-former superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools, Ian Andre Roberts, on September 26, after learning that he&#8217;s an illegal immigrant from Guyana with a deportation order, according to DHS.
During the arrest, the officers found that he had an illegal handgun, a hunting knife, and nearly $3,000 in cash.
Roberts arrived in the United States in 1994 as a tourist before he got a student visa in 1999, according to DHS. He was charged in 1996 with criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell, criminal possession of narcotics, criminal possession of a forgery device, and possession of a forged instrument in New York.
He faced charges for third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle in Queens, New York, two years later, but the case was later dismissed.
In 2012, Roberts was convicted of reckless driving, unsafe operation, and speeding in Maryland.
He was charged in 2020 for second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (having a loaded firearm outside his home or business); third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (an ammunition feeding device); and a fourth-degree weapon offense, according to DHS.
He was convicted of unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in Pennsylvania in 2022.
Roberts was also denied a green card four different times. He was still given a work permit, which expired on December 18, 2020, three years before he took the role in Des Moines.
Roberts was absent from his immigration hearing when a judge ordered his deportation.
ICE also arrested Harneet Singh, 25, of India, in August after an 18-wheeler he was a passenger in made an illegal U-turn on a Florida turnpike, killing three people. His brother, Harjinder Singh, who was behind the wheel, now faces three counts of vehicular homicide.
The crash sparked the Trump administration to crack down on states issuing commercial driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants.
The feds took Honduran MS-13 leader Gerson Emir Cuadra Soto off the streets in December after learning that he was wanted in his home country for a quadruple homicide.
Soto crossed the border illegally after he bribed his way out of a jail in Honduras, where he was being held on firearms charges.
ICE also took Honduran illegal immigrant Olvin Rodriguez-Inestroza off the streets after he had active warrants for 394 counts of pornography involving juveniles and two counts of sexual abuse of an animal, according to DHS.
Agents arrested Aldrin Guerrero-Munoz in October after he was incarcerated for more than two decades for the intentional murder of his three-month-old son. While he was behind bars, Guerrero-Munoz was convicted of assaulting another inmate.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration isn&#8217;t letting up and continues to carry out major immigration sweeps across the country. DHS recently deployed thousands of federal agents to Minnesota to push through anti-ICE agitators trying to obstruct arrest operations and continue to chip away at their list of thousands of targets roaming the sanctuary state.

Michelle Obama just explained her reasons for not attending the inauguration of President Donald Trump, a move which has inspired a lot of speculation among her followers.
The former first lady discussed her decision in a newly released <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fL5q4BMln7M" target="_blank" rel="noopener">episode</a> of her podcast, “IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson,” where she spoke with actress Taraji P. Henson.
&#8220;My decision to skip the inauguration — or my decision to make choices at the beginning of this year that suited me — were met with such ridicule and criticism,&#8221; Obama explained. &#8220;People couldn&#8217;t believe that I was saying no for any other reason. They had to assume that my marriage was falling apart.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;m here really trying to own my life and intentionally practice making the choice that was right for me, and it took everything in my power to not do the thing that &#8216;was right,&#8217; or was perceived as right, but do the things that was right for me,&#8221; she said of the viral rumors of impending divorce. 
Obama said she had to “basically trick” herself into creating a situation where she wasn’t able to go to the inauguration.
&#8220;It started with not having anything to wear,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I was like, if I&#8217;m not going to do this thing, I got to tell my team, I don&#8217;t even want to have a dress ready, right? Because it&#8217;s so easy to just say let me do the right thing.&#8221;
The “Becoming” author said not having anything to wear would essentially force her to make the decision she actually wanted to make in the first place.
Obama said it’s all part of her goal of mastering the “art of saying no.”
“It&#8217;s a muscle that you have to build,” she said during the episode. “And I think we suffered, because it&#8217;s almost like we started training late in life to build that muscle, right? I am just now starting to build it.”
“I want our daughters, I want the young women out there… I want my girls to start practicing different strategies for saying no,” she continued. “After all that I&#8217;ve done in this world, if I am still showing them that I have to keep- I still have to show people that I love my country, that I&#8217;m doing the right thing, that I am always setting, going high all the time, even in the face of a lot of hypocrisy and contradiction, all I&#8217;m doing is keeping that crazy bar that our mothers and grandmothers set for us.”

The <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DFmydH6IpQS/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">digital cover</a> featured a stunning black-and-white image of the first lady wearing a black dress with a black jacket along with the story, “Melania Trump 2.0 – Exclusive photos and insight as she returns as First Lady,&#8221; in which the outlet spoke to three insiders close to Melania.
Throughout the piece there were numerous photos of the first lady’s looks from Trump’s first turn in the White House. There was also a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/president-trump-teases-melania-about-her-attire-says-she-almost-blew-away">black-and-white picture</a> of Melania and son Barron on their way to Trump’s inauguration, where he was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States last month. 
In the photo, the <a href="https://x.com/MELANIAJTRUMP/status/1881355825132023996">first lady wore</a> a custom double-breasted navy coat with a matching boater hat. She completed the look with black leather gloves and matching dark blue suede pumps.

Two of the photos showed Melania getting dressed in a gorgeous strapless black and pearl-colored floor-length gown with a fitted bodice and black ribbon that wrapped around the entire dress — designed by the first lady’s stylist and designer Herve Pierre for Trump&#8217;s inauguration balls.
Speaking to the outlet, Pierre opened up about working with the first lady and gave a bit of insight about her.
“[When I had] just started to work for Mrs Trump, I was preparing clothes for a fitting and saw her putting shoes in a suitcase,” Pierre said. “I immediately told her that she couldn’t do that and it was my job to do it, and she answered: ‘I always pack myself so I am sure what is in my luggage.’
“She will also make a coffee for you herself,” he added. “So if you have a vision of a woman surrounded by servants, you are wrong.”
Melania’s official photographer Regine Mahaux also shared with the outlet and said, “[Melania&#8217;s] a different person than she was eight years ago and has always been true to herself. This time, it feels like a different energy with new people that the President has surrounded himself with.”
“She’s always in the right place,” Mahaux added. “She’s always behind her husband. He’s in the light; she doesn’t need the light. She’s a very good number two. It’s always her husband first, and I like that; she has strong family values, to be a good wife and to make sure they’re happy.”
The cover story also included an interview with Melania’s interior designer Tham Kannalikham, who has already helped the first lady put Trump&#8217;s stamp on the White House.
“We felt a deep obligation to give the White House the respect it deserves, understanding our role as stewards of this historic home,” the designer said. “Together, we approached this endeavour with a commitment to elevating its design to the highest standards, celebrating American craftsmanship and artistry.”

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-york-magazine">New York Magazine</a> recently devoted their cover to a snapshot from one of President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump">Donald Trump</a>’s inauguration parties &#8212; but some people who were there accuse the outlet of intentionally cropping out black party attendees and then claiming in the article that the party was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/racism">mostly “white.”</a>
The magazine’s headline included the bold text, “The Cruel Kids’ Table,” and featured attendees dressed in gowns and tuxedos from a party called the “Power 30 Awards” on the eve of the inauguration. 
The article’s author Brock Colyar wrote, “almost everyone is white,” followed by his take on the party. “The men look like Pete Hegseth, in bow ties and black suits, with clean-shaven faces. The women are almost all out of their league.”
In another quote from the story, a woman who attended a different inauguration party allegedly said: “Have you noticed the entire room is white?”
Conservative commentator Christopher Barnard posted the full photo which accompanied the story inside the magazine on X, noting how it had been strategically cropped. “New York Magazine literally cropped all the black people out of this cover photo and then complained that ‘the entire room is white,’” he wrote on X.

Co-chair of the Republican National Committee Youth Advisory Council CJ Pearson also took to X and <a href="https://x.com/thecjpearson/status/1883992066784416231">showed</a> the full version of the cropped cover photo.
“This is insane. I hosted this event and @NYMag intentionally left me out of their story because it would have undermined their narrative that MAGA is some racist cult,” Pearson wrote. “They also didn’t include the fact that @WakaFlocka and @Gervontaa were also there.”
“You don’t hate the liberal media enough,” he concluded.
Other black conservatives who attended the event included former Georgia State Representative Vernon Jones, Turning Point USA contributor Rob Smith, and PragerU’s Xaviaer DuRousseau.
Colyar mentioned DuRousseau in the article without revealing that he was black. Pearson, Jones, and Smith were not mentioned at all, per <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/politics/new-york-mag-accused-of-cropping-black-people-out-of-trump-party-it-said-was-nearly-all-white/">Mediaite</a>.
“I was at this party as were MANY other Conservative media influencers who are Black, Latino, Asian, etc,” Smith posted on X. “NYMag used a whites only photo to push the media narrative that diverse Republicans don’t exist and weren’t welcome. You don’t hate the media enough.”
New York Magazine provided the New York Post with a comment on the photo cropping drama. A spokesperson <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/01/28/media/ny-magazine-ripped-for-cropping-black-people-from-trump-party-cover/">said</a>, “The magazine’s most recent cover story explores the new class of conservatives taking Washington by storm, through the lens of inauguration weekend. The cover was cropped to the center of a picture that was published in full online, and we believe both the cover and story provide an accurate impression of the weekend.”

Rap artist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/snoop-dogg">Snoop Dogg</a> clapped back at critics who took issue with him performing at one of the celebratory events ahead of the inauguration of President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump">Donald Trump</a> last week.
The 53-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rap-music">entertainer</a>, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., addressed his haters via a video uploaded to Instagram on Sunday. Snoop had performed at an event called the Crypto Ball in Washington, D.C., on January 18, which is why so many followers were reacting badly. Soulja Boy and Rick Ross also performed at the event.
&#8220;For all the hate, I&#8217;m going to answer with love,&#8221; Snoop said in a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DFTK5UUy4y7/#">video</a> recorded in his car. &#8220;Y&#8217;all can&#8217;t hate enough; I love too much. Get your life right, stop worrying about mine. I&#8217;m cool, I&#8217;m together. Still a black man. Still 100% black. All out &#8217;til you ball out, or &#8217;til you fall out.&#8221;
While the rapper had been critical of Trump during his first term as president, Snoop seems to have changed his mind in recent years. Critics couldn’t help but point out that the artist once pretended to shoot a clown dressed as Trump in 2017 in a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/snoop-dogg-has-nothing-but-love-and-respect-for-trump-as-feud-goes-up-in-smoke">music video</a> for the song “Lavender.”
He also voiced his disdain in the song &#8220;M.A.C.A (Make America Crip Again),&#8221; saying, &#8220;The president say he wants to Make America Great Again, f***- that s***.&#8221;
Snoop <a href="https://x.com/XXL/status/1270826921455243268">called</a> Trump a &#8220;f***ing weirdo&#8221; on X in 2020, saying, &#8220;if you voted for him, I have no problem with that, but if you&#8217;re still with him, f*** you.&#8221;
But then in recent years, the rapper seems to have changed his mind. In 2021, Trump commuted the 25-to-life sentence of Michael Harris, co-founder of Death Row Records, for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. &#8220;That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out. They did some great work while they was in there,&#8221; Snoop said at the time.
Then in 2024, Snoop showed his appreciation for Trump again. “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me,” Snoop Dogg said, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/snoop-dogg-has-nothing-but-love-and-respect-for-trump-as-feud-goes-up-in-smoke">reported</a>. “He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris. So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”
Other mainstream artists have also come under fire for performing at Trump’s inauguration events, including “American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood, Jewel, and Nelly.
&#8220;I&#8217;m not political. I&#8217;m not out here trying to tell anybody who they should vote for,&#8221; Nelly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-isnt-politics-rapper-nelly-defends-decision-to-perform-at-trumps-inaugural-ball">said</a> after performing at the inaugural ball. &#8220;But what I will say is that, I respect the office. This isn&#8217;t politics. The politics, for me, is over. He won! He&#8217;s the president.&#8221;

President Donald Trump began his second term this week with an explosion of actions, spending his first few days in office going full speed on his agenda and reversing the work of his predecessor.
The dizzying march of executive orders, presidential pardons, firings of Biden appointees, calls with foreign leaders, and visits to disaster zones started immediately after the inauguration on Monday, and the breakneck pace did not let up for the rest of the week.
On day one, Trump signed more than three dozen executive orders on the southern border, gender ideology, American energy, the economy, and other issues.
In a flurry of orders on immigration, his signature issue, Trump took several drastic actions.
The president <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/declaring-a-national-emergency-at-the-southern-border-of-the-united-states/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> a national emergency at the southern border, <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/clarifying-the-militarys-role-in-protecting-the-territorial-integrity-of-the-united-states/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">deployed</a> thousands of troops there, <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/securing-our-borders/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ordered</a> construction of the border wall, and <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/protecting-the-american-people-against-invasion/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ordered</a> Homeland Security to remove illegal migrants and go after the drug cartels, which he <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/designating-cartels-and-other-organizations-as-foreign-terrorist-organizations-and-specially-designated-global-terrorists/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">designated</a> as terrorists.
The executive orders also <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/guaranteeing-the-states-protection-against-invasion/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">blocked</a> all illegal entries including asylum seekers and refugees, shut down the CBP One app, <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/protecting-the-united-states-from-foreign-terrorists-and-othernational-security-and-public-safety-threats/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">beefed</a> up visa screening, and <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/protecting-the-meaning-and-value-of-american-citizenship/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">attempted</a> to end birthright citizenship for the children of non-citizens, which is already facing legal challenges.
“All illegal entry will immediately be halted and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came,” Trump <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/01/20/us/politics/trump-starts-immigration-crackdown-enlisting-the-military-and-testing-the-law.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in his inaugural remarks after taking the oath of office.
Trump also <a href="https://x.com/JennieSTaer/status/1882071203369865550" target="_blank" rel="noopener">threatened</a> to prosecute officials and strip funding from sanctuary cities and states that refuse to cooperate with his deportations, which have already begun.
Less than 48 hours after Trump was sworn in, ICE had already <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/more-than-400-illegal-immigrants-arrested-in-first-few-days-of-trump-admin?topStoryPosition=2">arrested</a> more than 460 illegal migrants.
Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security reinstated the term “illegal alien.”
One of Trump&#8217;s biggest moves of his first day — and week — was granting <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/granting-pardons-and-commutation-of-sentences-for-certain-offenses-relating-to-the-events-at-or-near-the-united-states-capitol-on-january-6-2021/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pardons</a> to nearly 1,600 people charged in connection with the January 6 riot at the Capitol.
Most of the defendants received full pardons, while 14 members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, most of whom were convicted of seditious conspiracy, got their sentences commuted. The Justice Department was directed to dismiss any pending indictments related to the riot.
On Thursday, Trump pardoned 23 pro-life protesters prosecuted by the Biden administration, including a woman in her 70s, and the mother of a two-year-old, both imprisoned.
Relatedly, two more executive orders <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/restoring-freedom-of-speech-and-ending-federal-censorship/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ban</a> the weaponization of the federal government against political opponents <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/ending-the-weaponization-of-the-federal-government/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">including</a> censorship of free speech, and they direct investigations into past government misconduct.
Another day one <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal-government/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">order</a> addresses gender ideology, which became a hot button issue during the election. The order officially recognizes &#8220;sex&#8221; as biological, either &#8220;male&#8221; or &#8220;female.&#8221; The order reverses allowing people to change their gender on passports, bans federal funds from promoting gender ideology or paying for medical gender transitions for prison inmates, and protects women and girls from trans-identifying men in women&#8217;s prisons, rape shelters, and &#8220;intimate spaces.&#8221;
Trump also took an axe to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives with several actions.
In one order he <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/ending-radical-and-wasteful-government-dei-programs-and-preferencing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">scrapped</a> all government DEI programs and put their <a href="https://whitehouse.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=dace49741569f7585670378b3&amp;id=5bdf3a103b&amp;e=fee98947f0" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://whitehouse.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u%3Ddace49741569f7585670378b3%26id%3D5bdf3a103b%26e%3Dfee98947f0&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737839244832000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1WbQvQBcGqiJvTHYWNZY89">staff</a> on leave. Trump also rescinded an executive order from President Lyndon Johnson that mandated affirmative action by government contractors, and in another order he directed the Federal Aviation Administration to stop DEI hiring practices, noting that it is responsible for the safety of nearly 3 million airline passengers every day.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/113864692804149616" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> that his first day in office was not over yet.
He was busy firing more than 1,000 presidential appointees from the previous administration, “who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again.”
Among those who got the boot from presidential advisory councils was retired Army general Mark Milley, who was fired from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council. Milley has called Trump a fascist and was granted a preemptive pardon by Biden just hours earlier.
“YOU’RE FIRED!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Meanwhile, Trump&#8217;s State Department <a href="https://whitehouse.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=dace49741569f7585670378b3&amp;id=d7ba5f6af1&amp;e=fee98947f0" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://whitehouse.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u%3Ddace49741569f7585670378b3%26id%3Dd7ba5f6af1%26e%3Dfee98947f0&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737839244832000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2ponWQ4F1AehM4BjD8BZyK">issued</a> guidance that U.S. embassies should fly only the American flag and not activist flags like the pride and Black Lives Matter flags, both of which flew over government buildings under Biden.
In another spate of executive orders, Trump took action on energy.
He <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/declaring-a-national-energy-emergency/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> a national energy emergency, <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/putting-america-first-in-international-environmental-agreements/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">withdrew</a> from the Paris climate agreement, revoking any related financial commitments, <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/unleashing-american-energy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">directed</a> the deregulation of domestic energy production <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/unleashing-alaskas-extraordinary-resource-potential/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">especially</a> in Alaska, <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/temporary-withdrawal-of-all-areas-on-the-outer-continental-shelf-from-offshore-wind-leasing-and-review-of-the-federal-governments-leasing-and-permitting-practices-for-wind-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">paused</a> all new federal leasing and permitting for wind farms, <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/unleashing-american-energy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">eliminated</a> the electric vehicle mandate, and announced plans to get rid of regulations on products like lightbulbs, water heaters, and washing machines.
On the economy, one order <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/delivering-emergency-price-relief-for-american-families-and-defeating-the-cost-of-living-crisis/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">aims</a> to deliver emergency price relief to Americans by having executive agencies work to lower the costs of housing and healthcare, eliminate harmful climate policies, and create jobs, &#8220;drawing discouraged workers into the labor force.&#8221; Another order <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/reevaluating-and-realigning-united-states-foreign-aid/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pauses</a> assistance to foreign countries for 90 days as they are reviewed. The president also <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/america-first-policy-directive-to-the-secretary-of-state/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">directed</a> the Secretary of State to issue guidance on putting America first.
He <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/america-first-trade-policy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an &#8220;America First&#8221; trade policy that includes exploring an External Revenue Service to collect revenue related to foreign trade.
Several other executive orders took aim at the federal bureaucracy and directed a regulatory <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/regulatory-freeze-pending-review/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">freeze</a>, a federal hiring <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/hiring-freeze/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">freeze</a> with exceptions for areas like the military, and required federal employees return to in-person work. More orders <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/establishing-and-implementing-the-presidents-department-of-government-efficiency/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">establish</a> the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/reforming-the-federal-hiring-process-and-restoring-merit-to-government-service/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">encourage</a> federal hiring based on merit, and <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/restoring-accountability-to-policy-influencing-positions-within-the-federal-workforce/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">aim</a> to restore accountability to federal workers who can influence policy.
In one fell swoop, Trump also <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/initial-rescissions-of-harmful-executive-orders-and-actions/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">revoked</a> nearly 100 of former President Joe Biden&#8217;s executive actions on day one.
The Biden actions involved advancing &#8220;racial equity,&#8221; preventing discrimination over &#8220;gender identity,&#8221; ensuring an &#8220;equitable&#8221; pandemic response, &#8220;restoring science&#8221; to tackle the &#8220;climate crisis,&#8221; immigration enforcement, &#8220;clean energy,&#8221; &#8220;accountable policing,&#8221; establishing an &#8220;African diaspora&#8221; council, withdrawing parts of the U.S. from oil or gas leasing, along with dozens more moves.
Trump also <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/withdrawing-the-united-states-from-the-worldhealth-organization/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">withdrew</a> from the World Health Organization, citing its &#8220;mishandling&#8221; of the pandemic. He called the move a &#8220;big one.&#8221;
In a hotly-anticipated move, the president <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/application-of-protecting-americans-from-foreign-adversary-controlled-applications-act-to-tiktok/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suspended</a> the TikTok ban and expressed hopes to strike a deal with TikTok&#8217;s parent company.
Trump also made several anti-abortion moves during his first few days in office.
He joined every Republican president since Ronald Reagan in restoring the Mexico City Rule, which prohibits federal funding to any overseas nongovernmental organization that performs or promotes abortions. He also restored the Hyde Amendment, which prevents taxpayers from being forced to pay for most abortions.
On Friday, Trump <a href="https://x.com/POTUS/status/1882891449366138893" target="_blank" rel="noopener">addressed</a> the annual March for Life in a video message in which he praised their aim to &#8220;protect every child as a beautiful gift from the hand of our Creator.&#8221; Vice President JD Vance addressed the march in person, his first speech as vice president.
The new administration also <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/2025/01/statement-of-administration-policy-h-r-21-born-alive-abortion-survivors-protection-act/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">made</a> a statement &#8220;strongly&#8221; supporting the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which passed the House but was blocked in the Senate this week, and he <a href="https://x.com/sbaprolife/status/1881455332985327982" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shut</a> down the Biden administration&#8217;s pro-abortion government website.
On Thursday, Trump spoke virtually to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and accused the CEO of Bank of America to his face of debanking conservatives, saying, &#8220;what you&#8217;re doing is wrong.&#8221;
He spoke with several foreign leaders, <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/international/5105602-donald-trump-greenland-denmark/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">including</a> a &#8220;fiery&#8221; call with the Danish prime minister about national security concerns around Greenland, a call with El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele on illegal immigration, and a call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who said he wants to invest $600 billion in the United States over the next four years.
The administration said it has already secured a total of over $1 trillion in new investments in the country.
The president also re-designated Yemen&#8217;s Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization.
Trump also signed an <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/putting-people-over-fish-stopping-radical-environmentalism-to-provide-water-to-southern-california/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">order</a> aimed at &#8220;putting people over fish&#8221; in California, ordering federal agencies to work on routing more water from Northern California to the southern areas damaged by wildfires and stop prioritizing the Delta smelt fish.
Trump declassified files related to the John F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. assassinations, a move praised by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump&#8217;s nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services.
On technology innovation, Trump issued an executive order aimed at eliminating Biden policies &#8220;harmful&#8221; to America&#8217;s global Artificial Intelligence (AI) dominance. He also set up special groups to focus on science and technology as well as cryptocurrency regulation.
Trump also revoked the taxpayer-funded security details of former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, his former national security adviser, John Bolton, and Anthony Fauci, who was the face of Trump&#8217;s White House pandemic task force.
Another order <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/holding-former-government-officials-accountablefor-election-interference-and-improper-disclosure-of-sensitive-governmental-information/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">revokes</a> the security clearances of the 51 former intelligence officials who signed a letter discrediting the Hunter Biden laptop story.
He also pardoned two Washington, D.C., police officers convicted in the death of a black man during a police car chase back in 2020.
He <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/restoring-the-death-penalty-and-protecting-public-safety/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">directed</a> the Attorney General to seek the death penalty for federal crimes involving either the murder of law enforcement or an illegal migrant committing a capital crime.
Trump also directed the Secretary of the Interior to officially <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/restoring-names-that-honor-american-greatness/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rename</a> the Gulf of Mexico the &#8220;Gulf of America&#8221; and restored the name &#8220;Mount McKinley&#8221; to the country&#8217;s highest peak after the Obama administration changed it to a Native Alaskan name in 2015.
Other orders addressed smaller issues including withdrawing Biden&#8217;s menthol cigarette ban, getting rid of the Biden administration&#8217;s White House security clearance backlog, recognizing North Carolina&#8217;s Lumbee Tribe, and promoting beautiful civic architecture.
On Friday, Trump turned his attention to disaster zones, flying to North Carolina to view hurricane damage and then California to survey wildfire destruction.
He is set to hold a rally in Nevada on Saturday, saying he wanted to &#8220;thank&#8221; Nevada voters for supporting him.
Meanwhile, Trump&#8217;s Cabinet confirmations are working their way through the Senate. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was the first to be confirmed on Tuesday, and Pete Hegseth was confirmed as Defense Secretary late Friday evening, with Vance casting the tie breaking vote.

Speaking on the “Today” <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niFefWx_kkY">show</a>, the morning host said the images of Bush making silly faces and giggling during the swearing-in of the 47th President of the United States on Monday has caused the family’s group chat to explode, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/01/21/entertainment/obama-was-bad-influence-on-george-w-bush-at-trump-inauguration-jenna/">New York Post</a> reported.

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order declaring that human beings come in only two genders, male and female, and that other genders and their silly pronouns not to mention their bizarre hairstyles and nose rings will henceforth be permanently consigned to the twilight zone of the imagination along with Unicorns, Ents, successful socialist economies, those cute furry creatures from one of the old Star Wars movies though I forget which one, and Heffalumps, who are not only imaginary themselves but the imaginary creations of Winnie the Pooh, who is also imaginary, though admittedly adorable especially that time he ate too much honey and got stuck in Rabbit’s front door and had to be pulled and pushed until he popped free of the door and immediately got stuck in a tree where there was a bee’s nest with even more honey, so it all worked out for the best.
President Trump signed the order to restore reality on his first day in office during which he also funded a new A.I. scheme to cure cancer, freed unfairly over-sentenced January 6 kerfufflers, cut anti-business regulations, ended not only racist DEI policies but also just-as-racist Affirmative Action initiatives from way back in LBJ days, held a rally, learned to speak six foreign languages to facilitate international negotiations, passed the private pilot’s exam, played Frisbee with Melania’s Lee Van Cleef hat, danced that little dance of his, and established an oppressive fascist regime in the minds of New York Times editors where there are also Heffalumps and people who can change their gender.

And also have mercy on those who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants, like that terrific Lebanese place where, okay, the busboys may not have legal status but at least they support the Palestinian cause with such fervor that they’d be willing to slip into complete undocumented anonymity and slaughter Americans at will until the U.S. agrees to eradicate the Jewish race in order to stop genocide, though of course they can only do that after clearing our dishes away because listen, when I’m paying those sorts of prices for a meal, I don’t want to sit around with dirty dishes while I’m chatting up some delicious young babe before inviting her home to see my collection of hand carved sex toys as the Bible recommends once you translate the Hebrew into Episcopalian.”

An independent, sustainable designer from South Bend, Indiana, created the Vance children&#8217;s iconic looks for the Inauguration, including the gorgeous red coat that <a href="https://x.com/LoganARobison/status/1881445240864948657" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sweet, bandage-covered Mirabel Vance</a> wore.
Mary Grace Godfrey, the designer and seamstress behind the <a href="https://www.anagrassia.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anagrassia label</a>, opened up to The Daily Wire about her experience working with second lady Usha Vance.
&#8220;I’m so grateful to Usha and her team for believing in me, as well as for their exceptional communication and decisiveness,&#8221; Godfrey told The Daily Wire. &#8220;Their collaboration truly brought out the best in me, and I get emotional just thinking about it.&#8221;

The designer said that Usha is a previous customer and reached out to Godfrey around Thanksgiving about designing for the children.
Much of the process, though, was quicker than usual, since Godfrey couldn&#8217;t do much until Usha and Vice President JD Vance had their attire picked out.

&#8220;The garments were made to complement their parents&#8217; attire, so we couldn’t begin designing or cutting until all their wardrobe decisions were finalized,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I sketched designs and sourced wools while I waited for their pieces to be finalized. I started cutting [and] sewing in January.&#8221;
&#8220;Honestly, I’m a bit amazed at how quickly I was able to complete them—and the final pieces turned out better than I could have imagined,&#8221; Godfrey added.

She told The Daily Wire that the wool used for the outer layers and the inner wool batting was sourced from American companies and sheep.

“American Idol” executives have reportedly been in “crisis talks” about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/carrie-underwood-performs-america-the-beautiful-a-cappella-when-music-fails-at-trump-inauguration">Carrie Underwood</a>’s debut as a judge following her performance at President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
ABC bosses have reportedly said, following the 41-year-old country singer&#8217;s performance, there have been calls for people to boycott the upcoming season in which she is supposed to be a judge, <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14314477/carrie-underwood-american-idol-crisis-donald-trump-inauguration.html">Daily Mail</a> reported. On Monday, Underwood performed a stunning a cappella version of “America the Beautiful” inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda before Trump was sworn-in as the 47th President of the United States.
An insider told the outlet that there are concerns contestants might be “uncomfortable” being part of the show and fear her doing so could affect ratings.

“[One judge] Lionel Richie, who is very liberal, may not see eye to eye with Carrie&#8217;s views which could create some tension,”  the source continued. “He has never and will never support Trump. The general opinion is that Carrie should have thought about the show&#8217;s culture and network values before jumping into such a major role while under contract.”
The “Jesus, Take The Wheel” hitmaker released a statement about performing at the inauguration after the Trump-Vance <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/inauguration">Inaugural Committee</a> announced she would be one of many singers participating in the inauguration events.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said in her statement.
During the inauguration, things did not go as smoothly as planned for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/carrie-underwood">Underwood</a>, who ended up calling on politicians, dignitaries, and guests to join her in singing “America the Beautiful” when the instrumental music failed to play, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/carrie-underwood-performs-america-the-beautiful-a-cappella-when-music-fails-at-trump-inauguration">reported</a>.
As she stood there holding the mic, the music began, stuttered, and then stopped playing. The singer waited a few moments as others in the room, including Trump, looked around during the awkward silence, wondering if the moment would happen. But when it became clear there was some kind of technical difficulty, Underwood proved to be every bit the superstar and called on everyone in the room to join her.
“You know the words, help me out here,” the <a href="https://x.com/CollinRugg/status/1881398740441038997">singer said</a> as she began performing an incredible rendition of the song.
Underwood’s own singing career became a reality after she appeared on the fourth season of “American Idol” and won the contest in 2005. The new season of &#8220;American Idol&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/carrieunderwood/status/1875605214570647596" target="_blank" rel="noopener">kicks off</a> March 9.

It is a truth, long established, that a liberal woman over 50 with a lesbian haircut is sure to support the most evil ideas and policies that mankind has ever conceived. If evil had a face and a haircut, this is what it would look like. It would look exactly like Mariann Budde, the fake bishop of Washington for the Episcopal church. They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but some covers tell the whole story before you even read the first page. And when you see a woman like Mariann, especially if she is wearing priestly garments, you know exactly what you’re going to get. And that’s what we got, and what Donald Trump got, when this fake woman bishop delivered the homily at the National Prayer Service in DC on Tuesday.
Before we get to that, let’s back up a bit.
Let’s go back to the summer of 2020 when, encouraged by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the wake of George Floyd&#8217;s overdose, BLM and Antifa began rioting in the nation&#8217;s capital. No one at the Department of Justice or the FBI has ever pretended to care about this particular riot, but it was pretty substantial by any objective metric. They injured dozens of Secret Service officers, destroyed cars, vandalized monuments, and looted dozens of businesses — ultimately forcing Donald Trump to take cover in the White House bunker. The mob also set fire to a church in Lafayette Square, called St. John&#8217;s, just a block from the White House.
If you&#8217;re not familiar with it, St. John&#8217;s is an Episcopal church. It&#8217;s often called the &#8220;Church of the Presidents&#8221; because every president has attended the church since it was constructed in the early 19th century. And in 2020, because Democrats had riled up a violent mob to advance a narrative of racial injustice in an election year, the church was under attack. That’s in spite of the fact that the Episcopal church is the wokest institution on Earth. The Episcopal church makes Planned Parenthood seem far right by comparison. The Pride flag has long replaced the cross of Christ in the Episcopal church. And I use the word “church” only in the architectural sense.

In any case, Mariann Budde was responsible for overseeing the church at the time. And after the violence and arson had subsided, she went on PBS to talk about what had happened. But instead of defending her church, or condemning the rioters who had just lit St. John&#8217;s on fire, Mariann blamed Donald Trump. She claimed that Trump, merely by appearing outside the church to survey the damage, had, &#8220;used the mantle of the church to communicate a political message.&#8221; Watch:

Again, back to judging a book by its cover. You can play that video on mute, and you can guess everything she&#8217;s going to say, pretty much word-for-word. You can guarantee she&#8217;s going to talk about the &#8220;plight of black and brown people,&#8221; and how bad Donald Trump is, and so on. She doesn&#8217;t have to open her mouth at all. We all know what&#8217;s coming.
Of course, there&#8217;s no self-awareness to any of it. This woman — the fake &#8220;bishop&#8221; — has built her entire career around using the &#8220;mantle of a church to communicate a political message.&#8221; For more than a decade, she has done exactly what she&#8217;s accusing Donald Trump of doing. And after St. John&#8217;s was torched, she doubled down on that approach.
This is worth reiterating because it was one of the single most remarkable moments of the first Trump presidency. The Left nearly burned down a church, and they made Trump into the villain of the story. They blamed him because a day later, the U.S. Park Police cleared out the violent protesters in Lafayette Square, and supposedly that was clear evidence that Trump was a fascist dictator.
And to push that narrative, every mainstream outlet sought an interview with Mariann. They even interrupted their broadcasts to make sure that Mariann’s grievances could be heard.
Here was CNN for example:

Yes, police in riot gear had to use tear gas to clear the church yard. And you&#8217;re supposed to conclude that this is completely outrageous. After all, the protesters are &#8220;peaceful,&#8221; we&#8217;re told. And yet, in that whole rant she never once mentions anything about how the church was just set on fire by BLM arsonists a day earlier. It just doesn&#8217;t come up. CNN doesn&#8217;t mention it, either. It&#8217;s as if it never happened.
This is the extent of the overt lying we were all subjected to, just four years ago. They deliberately omit all relevant information, in order to push the most extreme, false narrative they can think of. And in this case, the narrative was that Trump was the bad guy, because he was &#8220;using a church as a photo-op.&#8221; So BLM gets a pass for burning the church down. But Trump doesn&#8217;t get a pass for appearing in front of the church afterwards. He&#8217;s also apparently to blame because the violent thugs outside the church — who were throwing stones at the cops — were eventually cleared out by the Park Police. Apparently the Park Police were supposed to let those protesters continue to terrorize Lafayette Square, indefinitely.

This is all just background, of course. A lesson in recent history that most of us still remember. But here’s the reason I bring it up: It’s remarkable that Donald Trump&#8217;s advance team apparently didn&#8217;t know what they were getting into, when they sent Trump and JD Vance to listen to a &#8220;sermon&#8221; from Mariann Budde yesterday for the National Prayer Service, which was held at the Washington National Cathedral. 
Predictably, Mariann Budde used her &#8220;sermon&#8221; as an opportunity to lecture Trump and Vance about the plight of so-called &#8220;trans kids&#8221; and illegal aliens. This was entirely inevitable. There was no way that she WOULDN’T use her sermon to extol the virtues of transgenderism and illegal immigration. It’s unlikely that this woman has ever given a sermon in her entire life that didn’t extol the virtues of transgenderism and illegal immigration. Trump should not have been put in this extremely foreseeable situation. But he was, and it led to this:

You&#8217;ll notice that, whenever anyone on the Left talks about illegal aliens, and how we shouldn&#8217;t deport them, they immediately start babbling about how illegals are willing to do menial, low-wage jobs. Leftists can’t help themselves. They will just come out and admit that they want a permanent underclass to clean the toilets and pick the crops.
“We can’t deport the illegals. Who will mop our floors?” That is literally their argument. Explicitly so. It&#8217;s not about &#8220;dignity&#8221; or &#8220;human rights&#8221; or whatever nonsense. They want slave labor. That&#8217;s what it comes down to. They don&#8217;t care if these illegal aliens broke the law to come into this country. They don&#8217;t care if these illegal aliens are raping women on university campuses, or driving drunk and wiping out entire families. All they care about is whether they can pick up some cheap labor from the Home Depot parking lot.
And then of course there&#8217;s the discussion about &#8220;transgender children,&#8221; who are supposedly &#8220;in fear of their lives.&#8221; Again, this woman is only capable of repeating stock Left-wing talking points. And in this case, she&#8217;s employing very familiar emotional blackmail. Apparently we&#8217;re supposed to conclude that the &#8220;merciful&#8221; thing to do, for these confused, supposedly &#8220;transgender children,&#8221; is to permanently sterilize and disfigure them. Mariann’s says the most Christ-like thing we can do is chop off the breasts of a 15-year-old girl. What would Jesus do? Well, according to Mariann, he would dismember them. It’s blasphemy of the most extreme kind. Hell exists for people like Mariann. Although I do admit, so-called “Trans kids” do fear for their lives. I don’t deny that. They fear for their lives because the horrifically abusive adults in their lives have told them that they should. They fear for their lives because they have been exploited and brainwashed by wicked witches like Mariann.

And of course, this grotesque display is coming from a female “priest.” You will only ever hear heresy and inanity from someone whose whole existence is blasphemous. We&#8217;ve <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVVTry3vgKo">covered</a> the plague of female pastors before, and how the Scripture makes it very clear — repeatedly — that women can&#8217;t serve as pastors, or have authority over men in the church. But I don&#8217;t even need to make that whole argument again. I don&#8217;t need to cite the letters of St. Paul on this point — as clear and unequivocal as they are — because honestly, Mariann Budde makes the argument for me. She is Exhibit A for why women should not be pastors, priests, or bishops. She would rather engage in emotional blackmail and blasphemy, than preach the word of God. And she&#8217;ll do it while claiming, at the same time, to be engaged in some kind of pursuit for the &#8220;truth.&#8221; Watch:

You can tell from the reactions by Trump, Vance, and their families that no one expected this. Afterwards, at the White House, Trump basically said the sermon was unbearable. It was also extremely predictable, if you know anything about this fake bishop, or do five minutes of research into her. And yet, somehow, his advance team allowed this moment to happen. You can bet there are some conversations in the White House right now about how exactly that occurred.
But there&#8217;s also a lesson there for the rest of us, which is this: We shouldn&#8217;t be overconfident in the wake of Trump&#8217;s win. Yes, it was a major victory, and Trump and his supporters defied all of the odds. But the fact remains that Leftism is embedded deeply in our culture and our institutions — including and especially the Christian church in America.
Granted, a female episcopal Bishop is not a part of the Christian church. But that is exactly the point. There are many wolves in sheep’s clothing. Many Left-wing infiltrators masquerading as shepherds for Christ. The infiltration is vast in scope, and deep. Rooting out DEI in the federal government, as difficult as that may be, is still a lot easier than rooting out the cancer of heresy and leftist propaganda in America&#8217;s churches. But after yesterday&#8217;s prayer service in Washington&#8217;s National Cathedral — which somehow took a lot of people by surprise — it&#8217;s clear that it&#8217;s a fight we need to wage, and that we can’t afford to lose.
