One of the most profound and honest <a href="https://rlo.acton.org/archives/124960-the-strange-death-of-dei.html">conversations</a> I’ve ever had on the subject of DEI came courtesy of a DEI advocate I spoke with last year. I asked her a simple question: if she believed in DEI as a useful element of corporate policy in theory, why is it that so many DEI programs fail in practice? Her honest answer: “We have to be very robust in our methodology, and we haven’t been. Being able to articulate the meaning of the D, E, and I is critical. If you can’t present it to highlight the fundamental good in the training, it doesn’t work.” An obvious answer, perhaps — but a telling one. The reason for the diversity downshift in American culture, in many cases, is a practitioner issue: DEI proponents have, in many instances, failed to make the argument of why such training is a fundamental good. To the contrary, we’re seeing a growing body of evidence that DEI’s fundamental good, just maybe, was profoundly oversold.
On Monday, we got our first look at a critical scientific finding that’s lending new support to the arguments of DEI’s strongest critics — and taking flack from progressive media outlets set on not giving it the coverage it clearly deserves. A <a href="https://networkcontagion.us/wp-content/uploads/Instructing-Animosity_11.13.24.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">study</a> from the Network Contagion Research Institute, released in collaboration with the Rutgers University Social Perception Lab, examined the effects of exposure to training that emphasizes awareness of/opposition to “systemic oppression.” Its goal was answering the question at the core of the DEI debate: do diversity programs that highlight systemic oppression actually reduce bias and improve group dynamics by “increas[ing] empathy,” or do they “increase hostility” towards those that antiracist philosophy paints as oppressive?
The study had subjects read either (1) an essay containing typical antiracist arguments about white supremacy and race discrimination, or (2) a control essay about corn production. After reading, subjects analyzed a race-neutral hypothetical interaction: a student applying to an elite university and having their application rejected by an admissions officer. Subjects who read the antiracist essay, which contained excerpts from antiracist figures such as Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo, viewed the student’s rejection through what the study deemed hostile attribution bias, perceiving the admissions officer as discriminatory, unfair, and guilty of ‘microaggressions.’
The subjects who were primed with antiracist literature:
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated an increased willingness to punish the admissions officer in the hypothetical scenario, despite the scenario not mentioning the race of the student.</li>
<li>Viewed real-life court cases as discriminatory that the control subjects perceived as fair</li>
<li>Viewed entire people groups (Hindus) as more racially discriminatory after reading material on caste discrimination</li>
</ul>
The study explained the risk of DEI programs focused on oppressed/oppressor class groupings in the following way: “[DEI] interventions may foster authoritarian mindsets, particularly when anti-oppressive narratives exist within an ideological and vindictive monoculture.” In other words, the oppressor/oppressed distinctions reflected in many modern DEI narratives can actually increase bias, hostility, and attribution of discriminatory beliefs among groups, as opposed to decreasing them. This finding suggests that exposure to ‘antiracist’ narratives decreases people’s ability to view situations rationally; if biased by a preconceived narrative of discrimination, people are more inclined to see discrimination at play in interactions that an unbiased observer might perceive as perfectly fair and reasonable.

Is this survey the nail in the coffin for dwindling DEI programs? Of course not — at the end of the day, it’s just one study within a larger body of literature. But the response of media outlets like the New York Times and Bloomberg, who <a href="https://www.nysun.com/article/press-times-suppress-findings-study-dei-training-amplifies-hostility-instead-reducing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suppressed</a> coverage of the study, should be an indicator to us as to just how important these findings are. This survey is not business as usual. On the contrary, its findings should be a wake-up call to those who still hold out optimism for DEI efforts as a whole. For years, DEI critics have argued that the narratives of modern ‘antiracism,’ which too often prioritizes identity politics and indefensibly broad generalizations over the necessary nuance of looking at the real world, are unfit for purpose. These findings are incredibly sharp arrows in our quiver.
It’s time for Americans at large, and the institutions and governments that serve them, to put DEI programs under the fine-toothed comb of scrutiny they have always deserved and examine if their fundamental good is really as good as it’s advertised to be. Programs that create and foster hostility on the basis of race fail basic function tests for building society, engendering trust in institutions, and making Americans less divided. And if DEI programs can’t do any of those three, whether in the boardroom, the classroom, or in the government briefing room, it’s time to ask why they exist at all.

In a few short weeks, Americans will not only be given a historic “opportunity” to vote for a nominee who famously never won a presidential primary, they may propel in power the epitome of DEI to lead the free world.
It’s for those reasons that Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, has replaced former Harvard University President Claudine Gay as my poster child for the “adversity of diversity.” Let me elaborate.
Last year I wrote &#8220;<a href="https://a.co/d/cwR6FNr">The Adversity of Diversity</a>,&#8221; where I argued against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs. My book also scrutinized how DEI selection criteria invariably violate our civil rights laws and constitutional protections against discrimination. It was DEI that ensured the rise of the now-disgraced former Harvard president, Claudine Gay. It was also DEI that stayed the university’s hand from completely ousting Gay, though her academic clout came about from her rampant plagiarism of several scholars, including myself. Although Gay no longer holds the lofty title of “president,” she has retained a comfortable teaching position where she is reportedly instructing students on “<a href="https://www.thecollegefix.com/claudine-gay-will-teach-reading-and-research-in-fall-2024/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reading and Research</a>.”
Fast forward to this year. Who would have imagined that the presidency of the United States would be on the DEI line? The selection-sans-election of Kamala Harris makes it clear that, as always, all qualifications and standards go out the window when DEI enters the picture.
DEI is white racism in disguise. White racism is an arrogance that manifests itself in the belief that holding racial and ethnic minorities to the same standards as white people means that you will have lily-white institutions and corridors of power, because no minority could possibly meet meritorious standards. To prove their point, adherents of the belief ignore black talent while seeking out mediocre blacks of high pedigree. The Claudine Gays, Ibram X Kendis, and the Kamala Harrises of the world are elevated and lauded. White racism rejects integration, equal opportunity, and fair play. Instead, it insists on group inclusion rather than individual merit. Outcomes are fixed if you have the approval of the “right” white elites.
For Harris, the die was cast when presidential candidate Joe Biden announced that his vice president would be a woman. This automatically restricted the pool of qualified candidates. It didn’t take long before thousands of <a href="https://19thnews.org/2020/08/black-women-insist-that-biden-write-us-into-history/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">influential black women</a> organized a pressure campaign for the nominee to be a black woman. White women dutifully stepped back. Eventually, the top contenders were whittled down to former Georgia state representative Stacy Abrams and former U.S. California Senator Kamala Harris. It was a beauty contest between Titans that Harris won. Clearly, her credentials and connections outshone and overshadowed Abrams.
The “adversity of diversity” occurs when unqualified individuals are placed into the pinnacles of power where white progressives control and protect them. Their lack of experience and disdain for American values can wreak havoc on the institutions they are tapped to lead.
When we look at the life accomplishments of Kamala Harris, there is <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2024/08/19/kamala-harris-and-tim-walz-are-the-ultimate-dei-ticket/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nothing</a> that jumps out at us that would make a reasonable person see presidential or even vice presidential material. She has no real accomplishments to date. What has Harris done that would make anyone believe she is qualified to become the leader of the free world?
Kamala has been given numerous opportunities to demonstrate hidden talents and flashes of brilliance. She has failed every time. Every <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2024/09/11/debate-spotlights-how-disingenuous-kamala-harris-really-is/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">debate</a>, every unmerited rise to power, every highly-publicized stop along her career path from being Willie Brown’s girlfriend to elective office in California — it all has proven her to be as incompetent as she is radical.
If Kamala Harris in all her incompetent radicalism were to gain authority over an already out-of-control bureaucracy, we would be in greater danger.
Our nation is on the edge of a free-fall. The last thing we need is an unintellectual coward who lacks the vision necessary to strengthen and restore America at the helm. Her <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2024/08/19/kamala-harris-and-tim-walz-are-the-ultimate-dei-ticket/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">leadership skills</a> are reflected in her history of hemorrhaging staff and the momentous  decision to choose former Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, an admitted knucklehead, as her vice-president.

Kamala can’t even see the damage she and Joe did over the last four years. A Center Square Poll (July 2024) found that <a href="https://www.thecentersquare.com/national/article_ddfe1f58-42d2-11ef-83f3-0f41f83d924f.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">two-thirds</a> of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. And yet, when asked by two different interviewers (Fox News’ Bret Baier and The View’s Sunny Hostin) whether as president she would do anything different, <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/kamala-harris-view-republican-cabinet-1965824" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Harris responded</a> to Hostin: “There is not a thing that comes to mind in terms of — and I’ve been a part of —  of the decisions that have had impact.”
This disconnect confuses me. Kamala could be justifying her work based on the many mainstream media polls that claim her and Donald J. Trump are neck-and-neck among voters. While I tend to believe the outcomes of non-mainstream polls like the one conducted by Center Square are more accurate — judging by the sentiments of average Americans reflecting on their ever-rising cost of living — it may be that the mainstream media polls are also accurate.
The polls indicating a close race may have captured the psyche of the post-2020 American: so conditioned by the fear of appearing racist or sexist that they set aside their own interests and go along with identity politics to oppose the designated minority.
Whatever the reason that polls on the race vary so greatly, the presidency of the United States is too important to be sacrificed to the insatiable appetite of DEI. Our nation is the last best hope for the free world. With DEI at the helm, our freedoms will further erode and inevitably cease to exist. Anyone who truly loves this country could not support a candidate installed without the approval of the American people, let alone one selected based on gender and color. We must demand better and vote accordingly.

On August 11, 1998, a lifelong criminal named Marcellus Williams was looking for a house to rob in a gated community in University City, Missouri.
By that point, Williams already had several prior criminal convictions, including for robbery and burglary. He shouldn&#8217;t have been on the streets at all, but apparently a judge let him out of jail so that he could commit more crimes and victimize more people. And that&#8217;s exactly why he was in University City on August 11.
When Marcellus Williams knocked on the door of a home owned by a 42-year-old journalist named Felicia Gayle, no one answered. So Williams broke a window and let himself in. After he noticed that someone on the second floor was taking a shower, Williams went downstairs to the kitchen, grabbed a butcher knife, and waited. When Gayle emerged from the shower, Marcellus Williams stabbed her 43 times, including seven separate fatal wounds. He then stole Gayle&#8217;s purse and her husband&#8217;s laptop before leaving the house to pick up his girlfriend.
Immediately, his girlfriend noticed something was wrong. Williams&#8217; shirt was bloody. His neck was scratched. Inexplicably, there was also a new laptop in his car. The next day, Williams&#8217; girlfriend noticed a purse in the trunk that contained Felicia Gayle&#8217;s identification card. When she confronted Williams about this, he admitted that he had just murdered a woman. He threatened to kill his girlfriend if she went to the police.
Then, a few months later, Williams was incarcerated for an unrelated crime. (This is the theme in his life, after all; he&#8217;s constantly in prison because he&#8217;s constantly committing serious crimes). In this particular instance, when Williams was in jail, promptly bragged to another inmate that he had murdered Felicia Gayle, and provided non-public information about the killing. When that inmate got out of jail, he went to the police department and told them what he had heard. During their investigation, detectives spoke to Williams&#8217; girlfriend, who confirmed that he had confessed to the murder. The police also found several items belonging to the victim in the Buick that Williams was driving, as well as the stolen laptop belonging to the victim&#8217;s husband.
On these <a href="https://law.justia.com/cases/missouri/supreme-court/2003/sc-83934-1.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">facts</a>, Williams was convicted by a jury and sentenced to death. On appeal, Williams&#8217; attorneys raised several objections, most of which were technical in nature. But there were a couple of claims that related to his guilt or innocence. Specifically, Williams said that the jury should have been given the opportunity to determine that he was a mere accomplice to the murders, as opposed to the actual killer. That&#8217;s because, according to the defense, &#8220;several unidentified hairs and shoe prints were found at the murder scene.&#8221; Additionally, Williams&#8217; girlfriend was supposedly &#8220;seen with a laptop computer&#8221; after Williams was incarcerated.

But these arguments weren&#8217;t convincing to the Supreme Court of Missouri. For one thing, there was evidence showing that &#8220;several workmen&#8221; and &#8220;hundreds of guests&#8221; had been inside the home in the months prior to the murder, so you&#8217;d expect to have some unidentified shoe prints and hairs lying around. Additionally, Williams told both his girlfriend and the inmate that he was alone when he committed the murders. And finally, there was no evidence that Williams&#8217; girlfriend possessed the same laptop computer that was stolen from the murder scene. She just had a laptop — any laptop.
If you tune into any mainstream media coverage of the Williams case, you won&#8217;t hear any of the details I just outlined — all of which are undisputed, and come directly from the Supreme Court of Missouri. You won&#8217;t hear news anchors recount all of the ways in which it&#8217;s clear that Marcellus Williams is extremely guilty of murder. Instead, you&#8217;ll find emotional segments like this one, which just aired on CNN:

Putting aside the melodrama for a moment — If we&#8217;re being honest, that segment is a little surprising. It&#8217;s your last meal, and you can request anything you want — and you choose tater tots instead of curly fries? Unfortunately, the rest of the CNN segment doesn&#8217;t explain this questionable decision, as confusing as it obviously is. Instead, the anchor focuses on reinforcing the current BLM narrative that Marcellus Williams&#8217; execution was unjust. To that end, she talks about how &#8220;prosecutors&#8221; and &#8220;the victim&#8217;s family&#8221; didn&#8217;t want to see Williams killed. She implies he might even be innocent. And she barely even mentions the woman who was brutally stabbed 43 times in her own kitchen, or the mountain of damning evidence in the case.
Let&#8217;s take both of those claims in turn. First of all, the &#8220;prosecutor&#8221; that the CNN anchor is referring to is a &#8220;restorative justice&#8221; activist named Wesley Bell. Bell was not the original prosecutor on the case, which was tried more than 20 years ago. He parachuted in at the last moment, in defiance of the state&#8217;s attorney general, to try to delay Williams&#8217; execution. Earlier this year, Bell claimed in court filings that DNA evidence might exonerate Williams.
Specifically, there was supposedly unknown DNA on the murder weapon. 
But that claim fell apart in recent weeks. According to the Missouri judicial branch, attorneys, “received a report indicating the DNA on the murder weapon belonged to an assistant prosecuting attorney and an investigator who had handled the murder weapon without gloves prior to trial.&#8221; So there was no unknown DNA on the murder weapon after all.

This month, a court in Missouri <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H_8gEp_1LgUzEsUAEEXg1643UJw88rja/view" target="_blank" rel="noopener">looked into</a> what exactly happened with the handling of this murder weapon. They determined that, back in 2001, it was normal practice for detectives in St. Louis to handle evidence, without wearing gloves, after the crime lab had processed the item and determined there was no useful DNA or fingerprint evidence on it. And in this case, because the killer wore gloves, there was no usable evidence on the knife. So the detective and the prosecutor repeatedly handled the knife, as part of trial preparation. Nothing about that, in any way, suggests that the knife was &#8220;tampered with,&#8221; or that there might have been another killer. So the court upheld the conviction.
As the state attorney general put it: 
<blockquote>One of the defense’s own experts previously testified he could not rule out the possibility that Williams’s DNA was also on the knife. He could only testify to the fact that enough actors had handled the knife throughout the legal process that others’ DNA was present.</blockquote>
That attorney general emphasized that the other available evidence was very clear: 
<blockquote>The victim’s personal items were found in Williams’s car after the murder. A witness testified that Williams had sold the victim’s laptop to him. Williams confessed to his girlfriend and an inmate in the St. Louis City Jail, and William’s girlfriend saw him dispose of the bloody clothes worn during the murder.</blockquote>
This is overwhelming evidence, obviously. And if you read between the lines, even this new prosecutor concedes that. In recent court filings — and in his interview with CNN — the prosecutor didn&#8217;t even claim that Williams was necessarily innocent. Instead, he pointed to alleged defects in how the trial was conducted, including jury selection. Here&#8217;s part of the prosecutors&#8217; interview with CNN:

It&#8217;s an incredible moment. They&#8217;re both claiming that Marcellus Williams was executed too hastily — more than 25 years after he killed a woman in her own kitchen. That&#8217;s too fast, apparently. We just need another 25 years to really investigate this case, and see if we can find some new information. Maybe some new witnesses will turn up. Maybe we&#8217;ll find new surveillance footage. Who knows? Apparently the point is, even after you&#8217;re convicted, you get 50 more years to prove you&#8217;re really innocent. At least, that&#8217;s what you get if BLM and the corporate press think they can turn you into a martyr. If you&#8217;re a white guy on death row, then no one really cares. You’ll notice that the only condemned criminals anyone ever cries over are black. Plenty of white guys get put to death, too, but they never become a trendy cause for the media and activists. I wonder why?
The other argument that they&#8217;re using is that people connected to the victim supposedly don&#8217;t want this man to be executed. Again, this isn&#8217;t a claim that&#8217;s related to whether Williams killed someone or not. It&#8217;s an argument about what the family wants. But if you look closer into this claim, it falls apart as well. Here&#8217;s part of a letter written last month by Laura Friedman, who&#8217;s now married to the victim&#8217;s former husband:
<blockquote>After 26 years of competing court filings, secret commissions, TV news alerts and front-page headlines, my husband&#8217;s personal pain is once again the subject of public discussion and debate. &#8230; This is now the fifth time this family tragedy has been revisited, relitigated and reappeared in the press. We are exhausted and exasperated. &#8230; Whether the death penalty is deserved in a case like this is a matter for debate. Williams&#8217; guilt is not.</blockquote>
Notice what&#8217;s actually going on here. Laura Friedman emphatically says that Marcellus Williams is guilty. The media just ignores that part. She also says that she just wants this case to be over, so that the family can get some closure. They&#8217;re clearly tired of how activists have dragged this case out for more than 25 years. The media ignores that part, too. Instead, the story from the mainstream media is that the family and loved ones close to the victim supposedly don&#8217;t want the death penalty.
These are the lies that are underpinning the latest attempt by race hustlers to manufacture another George Floyd scenario. 
For example, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSqu9YNOEPM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Henry Rogers</a>, a.k.a. Ibram X. Kendi, <a href="https://x.com/ibramxk/status/1838769254553837758" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>:
<blockquote>Tonight, Missouri lynched Marcellus Williams. DNA evidence proved he was innocent. It didn’t matter. Because the United States is a serial killer of Black people.&#8221; For her part, Cori Bush — who just lost her primary to Wesley Bell — also <a href="https://x.com/RepCori/status/1838740528734638565" target="_blank" rel="noopener">called</a> Williams &#8220;innocent&#8221; and said his death was &#8220;depraved.</blockquote>
The NAACP had a similar <a href="https://x.com/NAACP/status/1838718578465378620" target="_blank" rel="noopener">message</a>:
<blockquote>Tonight, Missouri lynched another innocent Black man. Governor Parson had the responsibility to save this innocent life, and he didn’t. The NAACP was founded in 1909 in response to the barbaric lynching of Black people in America — we were founded exactly because of people like Governor Parson who perpetuate violence against innocent Black people.</blockquote>
There are a lot more statements like this, from every BLM activist and race hustler you&#8217;d expect. Mainstream media organizations are saying much the same thing. They&#8217;re claiming that there&#8217;s no difference between executing a man convicted of a brutal homicide — and who clearly did commit that brutal homicide — and lynching a random black person who&#8217;s done nothing wrong. If these people had any degree of intelligence or integrity whatsoever, they&#8217;d recognize how degrading that is to black people who haven&#8217;t committed any crimes. They&#8217;re being equated with a career felon who killed a woman for no reason.
The only lesson we can draw from this is that the NAACP, Henry Rogers, and corporate media don&#8217;t believe that black people should get the death penalty when they murder a white person. They probably don&#8217;t think any punishment is appropriate, frankly, based on how they&#8217;re lying about the death of Felicia Gayle. We are witnessing crass race hatred spilling out into the open.
We all know that, if Marcellus Williams were white, or if his victim had been black, then there wouldn&#8217;t be any outrage whatsoever. This is the clearest imaginable example of a manufactured racial narrative, and of course it&#8217;s happening in an election year.
And it&#8217;s riling up all the lunatics you&#8217;d expect. In one post that has hundreds of thousands of views on X, an activist <a href="https://x.com/mrgnbrmll/status/1838659426716410063" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>: 
<blockquote>The murder of Marcellus Williams is connected to the murder of the people of Palestine and the people in Haiti and the people in Lebanon and the people in &#8230; Let your grief move you to see this as part of one state approved project.</blockquote>
Yes, Marcellus Williams is &#8220;connected&#8221; to the &#8220;people of Palestine&#8221; and the &#8220;people of Haiti and Lebanon.&#8221; As deranged as this post is, it does have a shred of honesty in it. The truth is that no one campaigning on behalf of Williams actually thinks he&#8217;s innocent. If a woman is brutally murdered and you confess to the crime to multiple people, giving them details that you wouldn’t have known unless you’d been there — and you are found with the victim’s property in your car — then you’re guilty. Period. It is basically impossible to even conceive of a scenario where all of that could happen and yet you’d still be innocent. That’s because Williams is guilty. He did it. He brutally butchered an innocent woman. He deserves to die for what he did. It’s that simple.

But none of the activists really care about the facts of his case, or even about Williams himself. These, after all, are not empathetic people. These are not people who value human life. Millions of human children have been killed by abortion in this country and these people not only don’t care about that, but celebrate it. They apparently feel infinitely more sympathy for a convicted murderer who stabbed a woman 40 times than they do for 60 million dead children combined. How could anyone’s heart be that twisted? How could their sympathies be so wildly, psychotically misdirected? Well, because they actually have no sympathy at all for anyone. It’s all a show. It’s an act.
This is about a much larger effort to undermine and ultimately destroy the rule of law in the United States. And this effort is being undertaken by people who care far more about Haiti and Lebanon than they care about this country. That&#8217;s why they&#8217;re trivializing the murder of this young white journalist in Missouri. It&#8217;s why they&#8217;re mocking her family and pretending her killer is innocent. Only the most dysfunctional hellholes on the planet have explicit, distinct standards of justice depending on the skin color of the assailant and the skin color of the victim. And after this surreal and delusional effort to absolve Marcellus Williams, it&#8217;s clear that we&#8217;re much closer to becoming one of those hellholes than we might like to admit.

“Anti-racist” activist Ibram X. Kendi on Friday declined Daily Wire host Matt Walsh&#8217;s offer to debate the topic of world slavery following a viral exchange the pair had over its history.
Kendi last week accused Walsh of engaging in &#8220;White savior&#8221; rhetoric after Walsh noted that white people did not invent slavery &#8220;but were the first to abolish it.&#8221; The racial activist&#8217;s vague reasoning for declining the debate offer relied on &#8220;many historians&#8221; supposedly proving Walsh&#8217;s claims wrong, though little other information was given.
&#8220;Kendi declines my invitation to debate the history of slavery because, he says, &#8216;many historians&#8217; have already said that he&#8217;s right,&#8221; Walsh said on X on Monday, quoting a post from Kendi.

Days later, Kendi told Walsh he would not debate him because it &#8220;would be a huge waste of my time&#8221; and accused Walsh of &#8220;producing propaganda about the superior greatness of White people for White consumption.&#8221;
&#8220;Many historians have already explained why your statements about slavery are wrong,&#8221; Kendi wrote. &#8220;It would be a huge waste of my time repeating what has already been shared with you. What is factually right and factually wrong doesn’t seem to matter to you. You seem intent on producing propaganda about the superior greatness of White people for White consumption.&#8221;
The Critical Race Theory (CRT) guru then suggested Walsh was wrong because of his supposed implied emphasis, not necessarily the facts Walsh stated.
&#8220;Your propaganda, this time, can be boiled down to three ideas: (1) White enslavers are hardly responsible for slavery in the Americas—but White people *are* responsible for the global abolition of slavery. (2) White enslavers are hardly responsible for enslaving Black people, but they are responsible for saving Black people from slavery. Walsh was applauded by numerous people for his take, including X owner Elon Musk, who simply replied, “True.” Walsh’s post, which was viewed more than six million times, triggered a huge response, including from Kendi, who <a href="https://twitter.com/ibramxk/status/1755249100532891764" target="_blank" rel="noopener">quote-tweeted</a> Walsh’s statement and described it as “The ultimate White savior statement.”
While Kendi’s post was slammed by numerous social media users — including the popular X accounts of The Babylon Bee’s Joel Berry and End Wokeness — Walsh replied to the Critical Race Theory apologist’s comment with an offer.

So, Claudine Gay is out.
The president of Harvard University — now the former president — is the shortest-tenured president of Harvard in its history.
Let us all remember just why. Lest we forget, Gay was unable to say that calls for genocide against Jews violated the college’s policies on speech.
This occurred after she issued a weak statement complaining about the “death and destruction unleashed” on October 7 in Israel, without any reference to Hamas. Harvard students testified about their feelings of unease on campus — unease underscored by actual attempted violence against some pro-Israel students, allegedly including members of the Harvard Law Review.
After that insane exchange with Rep. Elise Stefanik — after all, Harvard isn’t exactly a hotbed of free speech, being one of the most restrictive campuses in America on a variety of hot-button topics — Gay came under even more fire.
The Washington Free Beacon did Pulitzer-level work in uncovering her academic charlatanism. By mid-December, the Free Beacon had uncovered dozens of allegations of her plagiarism. Then, Monday night, the Free Beacon revealed even more examples of plagiarism — what Harvard euphemistically <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/20/us/harvard-claudine-gay-plagiarism.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">termed</a> “duplicative language without proper attribution.”
There’s a word for that: plagiarism.
But still, Harvard tried to keep her on.
They had to. She was the poster child for their core philosophy: diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI. To allow that she should never have gotten the position — that her academic record was scanty, and that she had involved herself in no original groundbreaking work (emphasis on the word “original”) — would have been to admit she had been given the job because she was a black female.

And so the Leftist powers that be had to maintain she deserved the job. The head of the NAACP <a href="https://twitter.com/DerrickNAACP/status/1734720954952020330" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> those who wanted Gay to go were engaging in “nothing more than theatrics advancing a white supremacist agenda.” Dozens of black Harvard faculty members wrote an open letter <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/harvard-faculty-alumni-letter-support-claudine-gay-house-testimony-antisemitism/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">proclaiming</a> “any suggestion that her selection as president was the result of a process that elevated an unqualified person based on considerations of race and gender are specious and politically motivated.”
Of course, that was a lie. She wasn’t qualified. But she had the right intersectional qualities to maintain her job. She wasn’t a black male with heterodox leanings like Roland Fryer, the economist who had debunked notions of disproportionate anti-black police shootings. She wasn’t a Jewish male like Larry Summers, who had pointed out that the lack of women in STEM might have something to do with both skills distribution and desire to enter the STEM world by women.
She was a far-Left black woman.
And her immunity was absolute.
Until it wasn’t.
Now the question is whether Americans will be satisfied to leave DEI in place with Gay gone. That narrative will rely on portraying Gay as either a grifter who abused DEI or a martyr.
The Left will never call her a grifter — that might open the door on the other grifters.

Even self-appointed congressional fire alarm Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) got in on the action, claiming that Gay&#8217;s ouster was an attempt to intimidate other black men and women who aspired to positions of power.

The dance company behind a Christmas video the White House shared on social media this week promotes a slew of woke books, educational resources, and ways to engage in progressive activism.

The dancers are from Dorrance Dance, a dance company based in New York City, which has an entire tab on its website devoted to &#8220;antiracism.&#8221; The company focuses on tap dance, which it <a href="https://www.dorrancedance.com/education">claims</a> was &#8220;born on the slave plantation.&#8221;

Dorrance Dance also encourages readers to join their local Black Lives Matter chapter and get involved in prison abolition work as well as vote and contact their congressional representatives about leftist causes.
Michelle Dorrance, the company&#8217;s founder, who is white, explains why &#8220;antiracism work&#8221; is important to her in a note on the website.

You remember Ibram X. Kendi. 
He’s a genius. How do I know he’s a genius? He’s such a genius that he actually won a MacArthur “genius grant” in 2021. The grant was a $625,000 no-strings-attached fellowship honoring his “exceptional creativity, scholarly achievements, gift for communicating his antiracist work and ideas with diverse audiences.”
<a href="https://www.bu.edu/articles/2021/ibram-x-kendi-macarthur-fellows-genius-grant-winner/#:~:text=The%20%24625%2C000%20no%2Dstrings%2Dattached,promise%20for%20further%20benefiting%20society&amp;text=Boston%20University's%20Ibram%20X." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Boston University</a> gave him an anti-racist grant. For those who have not followed the prodigious career of Ibram X. Kendi, the founder of the new Center for Antiracist Research, he is the author of a bunch of mediocre books and he speaks nonsense for a living. The nonsense that he speaks is all about how America is deeply and irrevocably racist. 
He has written that America was literally racist in all of its iterations from the very beginning, up to and including all of the constitutional protections of the Bill of Rights. So what exactly does this genius say about racism? He can’t really define the term. He just knows racism exists wherever there is a disparity. In his book, “How to Be an Antiracist,” he says, ”Racism is a powerful collection of racist policies that lead to racial inequity and are substantiated by racist ideas.”
Let me give you an example of how stupid that is. The vast majority of the NBA is black. That is a massive racial disparity. Only 13% of the American population is black. Does this mean there has been some sort of deep and abiding racism in the NBA to make all of that happen? Conversely, in hockey, virtually all the players are white. Does that mean there is deep and abiding racism that exists at the roots of hockey, and that is why there are not that many black hockey players at the NHL level? Of course not. That’s incredibly silly. If you see 99% of people in prison for violent crime are men, is that because of deeply sexist roots in society? 
The truth is, disparities exist across virtually every industry and every metric in society — and they have for all of time. They’re tied to everything from geography to environment. The idea that if two groups by race do not stack up identically in any particular area is because of systemic and abiding racism is absolute nonsense. But all Kendi has to show is any disparity, which makes his job really easy because I too can point to disparities in every arena of life.

In 2020, we decided as a society that you no longer had to prove racism was at the root of, for example, crime statistics. Instead, you could just simply claim that it was. And then everyone who said it wasn’t was deemed to be racist. That was a scam. The idea that American society rests in unidentifiable but ever-present racism is a lie. The notion that disparities in crime statistics are caused by racist policing is a lie. This is the magic of Kendi. He says colorblindness is racist. If you think race shouldn’t matter, that’s because you’re racist. According to Kendi, race does matter. And the way we know race matters is because of disparities. And those disparities are evidence of racism. And if you say that’s why race shouldn’t matter, that’s because you’re a racist, don’t you see?
So why am I discussing Ibram X. Kendi today? Because Boston University is now announcing an inquiry into his anti-racist center. It turns out the whole thing is a scam. 
You don’t say. 
A person who can’t define the word racism but is being paid not to define the word racism — you mean that was a scam? You mean just like any other cult? If the cult leader can’t define the terms, it can still be a cult.
This was the Emperor’s New Clothes garbage. Everyone knew this at the time. Anti-racism is a collection of anti-racist policies that target racist disparities backed by racist ideas. But everyone could tell this was gobbledygook nonsense. And now Boston University has announced an “inquiry” into Kendi’s Center for Antiracist Research. The predicate for this is that the center laid off some 20% of their entire staff and has been accused of misusing millions of dollars in funds. They have published hardly any research.
It’s hard to have a research-based approach when you do no research. A giant scam.
That is the message here: If you can’t articulate why someone should give you money to do something, all you can do is threaten them that you will call them a racist or a bigot if they do not do that something.
Boston University professor Phillipe Copeland, who is black and used to work for Kendi’s center, stated, &#8220;Boston University needs to explain how one of its premier Centers ended up in this situation and how mass layoffs are ’antiracist.’ This act of employment violence and trauma is not just about individual leaders. It’s about the cultures and systems that allow it to occur.”
“It’s about the culture and systems that allow it to occur.” I love it. Kendi preaches the grift, and then when he actually uses the grift to fire his own people, creating a disparity in outcome, this means he is now violating his own anti-racist precepts.

Ibram X. Kendi’s Grift Catches Up With Him

A decade ago, a man in his 30s by the name of Henry Rogers was one of 32,000 faculty members working in the state university system of New York. Henry was an assistant professor, making a modest salary as he taught history classes to undergraduates. He wasn&#8217;t exactly lighting the academic world on fire, but he was doing pretty well, all things considered. Henry had graduated from high school with a GPA below 3.0, and SAT scores hovering around 1,000. With numbers like that, many students decide to pass on college entirely and for good reason. But here was Henry Rogers, *teaching* college students. He wasn&#8217;t simply going to college; he was educating the next generation. So he was something of an unexpected success story.
Nevertheless, despite the many blessings that were bestowed on him by affirmative action, Henry Rogers dreamed bigger. He didn&#8217;t want to be stuck at SUNY forever. He knew that if he wanted to make a lot of money and advance in academia, he needed a rebrand. You can only go so far with a white-sounding name like Henry Rogers in the American university system, especially in a state like New York. So in 2013, Henry Rogers changed his name.
Overnight, he became Ibram Xolani Kendi, or Ibram X. Kendi for short. From that point forward, anyone looking at the C.V. of this assistant professor at a middling state school wouldn&#8217;t immediately think of someone boring and generic and pasty. Instead, they&#8217;d think of black revolutionaries like Malcolm X.
Looking back, Henry Rogers&#8217; name change may go down as the single most effective rebrand in the history of this country. His timing could not have been better. At the moment Henry Rogers transitioned into Ibram X. Kendi, corporate media in the United States was looking for something to cover besides wealth inequality and Occupy Wall Street. They decided, apparently in concert, to craft a narrative that innocent young black people were being hunted by deranged white supremacists. To advance that narrative, the media lied about the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and George Floyd, and so on. And during this period, they needed talking heads with names like Ibram X. Kendi to tell Americans that their real problem wasn&#8217;t Citibank or JP Morgan — it was white people.
One thing led to another, and before you knew it, Henry Rogers was on the move. He was hired by American University in Washington, D.C., in 2017, which at the time, was <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2017/05/17/us/american-university-bananas-nooses-hate-crime-protests/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">struggling</a> with the news that bananas had been spotted hanging from trees on campus. This was presumed to be a racist incident, and Henry Rogers was going to fix things. Specifically, Rogers promised to develop a &#8220;racial reporting guidebook&#8221; and to conduct a symposium on &#8220;racial reporting.&#8221;

None of that ever materialized, even though Rogers received tens of thousands of dollars in grant money — from places like the Ford Foundation — to make it happen. But Rogers was not completely idle during this period. After two years at American University, Henry produced a now-famous book called &#8220;How to Be an Antiracist,&#8221; which offered a novel theory. Henry argued that the solution to racism is more racism. “The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.&#8221;
If your IQ is higher than Henry Rogers&#8217; — and unless you&#8217;re a house cat, it almost certainly is — then that might seem counterintuitive. In fact it might seem like the single dumbest idea ever committed to paper. But in 2019, this theory — this explicit endorsement of racism — lit the academic world on fire. That same year, Henry Rogers was invited to speak at the &#8220;Aspen Ideas Festival,&#8221; where he had the opportunity to expound on his ingenious thesis before an audience of adoring, mostly white sycophants. And yet, despite the friendly audience, things didn&#8217;t go well. Not to oversell it, but this is maybe the single most amusing clip to come out of the entire DEI/anti-racism craze. In case you missed it at the time, you&#8217;re in for a treat. Here is Henry Rogers, AKA Ibram X. Kendi, explaining his definition of racism:

It&#8217;s an amazing clip for so many reasons. For one thing, even in the moment — with everyone in the room on Henry Rogers&#8217; side — there&#8217;s still nervous laughter when he tries to articulate the definition of the central concept animating his entire life&#8217;s work. Even by the standards of woke academics, this was bad, and they all knew it. &#8220;Racism is when you&#8217;re racist.&#8221; Okay, thanks Henry. Everyone just smiles and nods awkwardly, because that&#8217;s what academia is now. It&#8217;s a grift. There&#8217;s no integrity or dialogue at all. There are no ideas at the &#8220;Aspen Ideas Festival.&#8221; There&#8217;s &#8230; whatever this is.
This moment was not the end of Henry Rogers&#8217; academic career, of course. Criticizing Henry Rogers, or denying him promotions, is white supremacy. So the promotions kept coming. Henry went on to spend a year as a fellow at Harvard after this. Then he received yet another prestigious offer. Just weeks after George Floyd&#8217;s overdose, Rogers was hired to lead Boston University&#8217;s &#8220;Center for Antiracist Research.&#8221; Within weeks, massive donations were flowing in. Jack Dorsey, the weird-beard founder of Twitter, donated $10 million to Rogers&#8217; new center. Random companies, like Vertex Pharmaceuticals, contributed millions of dollars as well. In total the center raised well over $40 million.
Where was all of this money going? According to Boston University, it was going to fund some really path-breaking, original research in the field of anti-racism. In December of 2020, for example, B.U. published an article on its website, promising that Kendi would be &#8220;bringing antiracist investigators together with data scientists to tackle racial inequities,&#8221; and to &#8220;establish Boston University as the nation’s leading academic institution for data-driven antiracist research.&#8221;
What came of this unprecedented collaboration between Rogers&#8217; anti-racist experts and B.U.&#8217;s data scientists? Were racial inequities &#8220;tackled?&#8221; Not quite. The Washington Free Beacon looked into this. They found that Kendi&#8217;s anti-racist center established something called the Racial Data Lab, which is now completely defunct: &#8220;As of September, the Racial Data Lab only compiled information on COVID-19 infections and deaths. That COVID-19 tracker stopped collecting information in March 2021. The center has since removed the names of anyone who worked on that project from its website.&#8221;
So they compiled information from a bunch of other sources about COVID deaths. And then they stopped after about a year. That&#8217;s it. We reached out to Boston University to see if there was something we were missing, but they didn&#8217;t reply. So it&#8217;s clear that the sum total of B.U.&#8217;s big anti-racism data initiative — the one they touted with articles and a lot of marketing materials — was this little COVID tracker. That&#8217;s it.
To be fair, in its three years of existence, Roger&#8217;s anti-racist center also managed to take other steps towards anti-racism. For example, scholars at the center managed to produce not one, but two published papers. In three years. One of these papers looked at Google street view images, and concluded that neighborhoods with mostly black residents had more &#8220;dilapidated buildings&#8221; than neighborhoods with mostly white residents. It&#8217;s really groundbreaking stuff.
For his part, Kendi had some <a href="https://www.politico.com/interactives/2019/how-to-fix-politics-in-america/inequality/pass-an-anti-racist-constitutional-amendment/">bright ideas</a> that he occasionally shared with media outlets in this country. For example, he told Politico: &#8220;To fix the original sin of racism, Americans should pass an anti-racist amendment to the U.S. Constitution. &#8230; The amendment would make unconstitutional racial inequity over a certain threshold, as well as racist ideas by public officials. &#8230; It would establish and permanently fund the Department of Anti-racism (DOA) comprised of formally trained experts on racism and no political appointees. The DOA would be responsible for preclearing all local, state and federal public policies to ensure they won’t yield racial inequity.&#8221;
Imagine spending millions of dollars investing in a &#8220;research center&#8221; written by someone who sincerely believes something like that. It&#8217;s so unbelievably degrading, so stupid that it defies analysis, really. What would you tell your shareholders? What would you tell yourself when you look at yourself in the mirror? Is there literally anyone on the planet who thinks a Department of Anti-Racism — literally the acronym is &#8220;DOA,&#8221; dead on arrival — would be a good idea?
Maybe if you were one of Roger&#8217;s investors, you&#8217;d hold out hope that, sooner or later, the scholars in this prestigious anti-racism center are eventually going to buckle down and get to work and produce something that&#8217;s actually useful. But if you thought that, you&#8217;d be wrong. That&#8217;s now very clear. This week, we learned that Kendi&#8217;s anti-racist center has just fired more than half of its staff. They&#8217;ve apparently burned through much of the $40 million they&#8217;ve raised. To be clear, this is an operation that does not involve particle colliders or expensive equipment. This is a bunch of &#8220;anti-racist experts&#8221; telling white people they&#8217;re terrible. They managed to blow through $40 million in three years. And now, at long last, Boston University says it&#8217;s opened an inquiry into where all of this money went exactly. If we&#8217;re being honest, federal prosecutors should probably be doing the same thing at this point. But of course, we know they won&#8217;t, because Henry Rogers is doing their bidding.
At this point it would be easy to gloat over the aftermath of the complete and total implosion of this whole project. There&#8217;s the fact that one of Roger&#8217;s former staffers called these layoffs an example of &#8220;employment violence&#8221; and systemic racism, for example. Many observers have made the point that the woke inevitably eat their own, and that&#8217;s true for the most part. Get a bunch of professional whiners in one room, give them $40 million, and pretty soon they&#8217;ll be out of money, and still complaining. In case that&#8217;s not obvious, Henry Rogers just proved that point.
So what&#8217;s going on here? Why did his anti-racist center really collapse? Was it just mismanagement? Is this an isolated incident confined to Boston University? That&#8217;s possible, but if you look at broader trends, it seems like something else is afoot. It seems like, all over the country, major institutions are ditching DEI scammers. It&#8217;s not just happening in Boston. According to one recent analysis, job postings for DEI positions fell by roughly 20% last year. The average tenure of senior DEI executives that Fortune 500 companies hired since 2018 has been less than two years, according to a consulting firm that specializes in this area. BLM is in the red as of the last fiscal year. They&#8217;re bleeding cash, much of which they wasted on mansions in California.
Seeing all this, it&#8217;s tempting to say that the whole anti-racism scam is collapsing. But as welcome a development as that would be, I think we have to resist the temptation to come to that conclusion. I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s exactly what&#8217;s happening here. As we&#8217;ve all learned over the past ten years, the race hustle is far too useful and profitable to the people in power. And multiple generations of Americans have been too thoroughly indoctrinated into it. Millions of black Americans really do believe that they are victims, while millions of whites really do see themselves as guilty of imaginary racial sins. Just because Henry Rogers and a lot of his imitators have been exposed doesn&#8217;t mean that the underlying ideology has been defeated. These charlatans are low-hanging fruit. They&#8217;re grunts that are easily replaceable.
Think of how quickly these grifters took control of every major cultural and political institution. We went from &#8220;Don&#8217;t judge people based on their skin color&#8221; to &#8220;discrimination is anti-racist&#8221; in a very short period of time. It feels like it happened overnight. The Protestant Reformation took longer to get going, if only because people were communicating by horse or ship-borne letters. The woke social credit/equity/bio-surveillance state can take hold much faster. They can elevate con artists like Henry Rogers so quickly that we don&#8217;t know it&#8217;s happening until they&#8217;ve got $40 million and control of major universities. They can scam the most sophisticated investors on the planet, from tech executives to Big Pharma.
Henry Rogers and his team haven&#8217;t done much in their tenure as highly paid anti-racist activists. But they have demonstrated one thing, albeit inadvertently. And that&#8217;s the fact that there isn&#8217;t any substance to so-called anti-racist ideology. It&#8217;s just mega corporations looking to give big payouts to the first guy they find with an exotic name. If it&#8217;s not fraud, it&#8217;s something very close to it. If the Right can finally admit that, instead of playing along with these charlatans and funding the universities that promote this garbage, then things can change very quickly. But if we can&#8217;t take those steps, then nothing will change. If we continue to tolerate this, then no matter what happens to Henry Rogers, we can look forward to many more Ibram X. Kendis down the line.

Is The Anti-Racism Grift Collapsing?

Boston University announced Wednesday that it would conduct an &#8220;inquiry&#8221; into Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s Center for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/what-is-critical-race-theory-breaking-down-the-ideology-thats-hitting-schools-across-the-country">Antiracist</a> Research amid complaints about its culture.

The inquiry also comes shortly after layoffs at the center. Kendi recently laid off about 20 employees, more than half the center&#8217;s staff, the university <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/ibram-x-kendis-center-antiracist-research-lays-off-staff-members-boston-university-confirms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confirmed</a> last week.
Kendi, a prominent critical race theory scholar, has become an influential voice on &#8220;antiracism&#8221; over the last several years, especially after his book, &#8220;How to Be an Antiracist,&#8221; became a New York Times bestseller in 2020 in the wake of George Floyd&#8217;s death.
He has drawn criticism for promoting the theory that all racial disparities are due to racism. Kendi has also faced criticism for his book &#8220;Antiracist Baby,&#8221; a children&#8217;s picture book that introduces children to the concept of antiracism.
The Center for Antiracist Research was established in June 2020, just days after Floyd&#8217;s death, when Kendi was hired as a history professor at Boston University. Since then, the center has raised tens of millions of dollars from donors.
The center managed to accomplish certain projects, such as teaming up with The Boston Globe to <a href="https://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/the-emancipator/?p1=Article_Inline_Text_Link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">launch</a> a digital publication called The Emancipator. However, many other projects have gone uncompleted, such as a Racial Data Tracker, which would be &#8220;the nation’s largest online database of racial inequity data in the United States.&#8221;
The center “was just being mismanaged on a really fundamental level,” Phillipe Copeland, a Boston University professor who worked at the center, told the Globe.
Copeland skewered the center in a Facebook post on Sunday, saying the layoffs amount to &#8220;employment violence and trauma.&#8221;
&#8220;Boston University needs to explain how one of its premier Centers ended up in this situation and how mass layoffs are ‘antiracist.’ This act of employment violence and trauma is not just about individual leaders. It&#8217;s about the cultures and systems that allow it to occur,&#8221; Copeland <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/boston-univ-professor-calls-layoffs-ibram-x-kendis-antiracism-center-employment-violence" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> on Sunday.
“I don’t know where the money is,” <a href="https://www.bostonglobe.com/2023/09/20/metro/following-layoffs-boston-university-announces-inquiry-into-ibram-kendis-antiracist-center/#:~:text=By%20Mike%20Damiano%20and%20Hilary,%2C%202023%2C%209%3A13%20p.m.&amp;text=Boston%20University%20announced%20Wednesday%20it,center%27s%20culture%20and%20financial%20management." target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Saida Grundy, another Boston University professor who worked at the center.

Kendi reportedly did not delegate authority, which slowed the center&#8217;s operations.
He was also on leave from the center during the last several months, and when he returned last week, he reportedly laid off about 20 staffers over Zoom, <a href="https://www.bostonglobe.com/2023/09/20/metro/following-layoffs-boston-university-announces-inquiry-into-ibram-kendis-antiracist-center/#:~:text=By%20Mike%20Damiano%20and%20Hilary,%2C%202023%2C%209%3A13%20p.m.&amp;text=Boston%20University%20announced%20Wednesday%20it,center%27s%20culture%20and%20financial%20management." target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to one of the professors at the center.
Kendi “takes strong exception to the allegations made in recent complaints and media reports,” the Boston University spokesperson said.
The center&#8217;s scholars have also produced very little research, and the two research papers they have put out have been co-authored with other academics, a Washington Free Beacon <a href="https://freebeacon.com/democrats/ibram-kendis-center-for-antiracist-research-hasnt-produced-any-research/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">analysis</a> found.
Global health professor Elaine Nsoesie, who <a href="https://www.bu.edu/sph/profile/elaine-nsoesie/#:~:text=Elaine%20Nsoesie%20is%20an%20Associate,University%20Center%20for%20Antiracist%20Research." target="_blank" rel="noopener">leads</a> the Racial Data Tracker project at the center, co-authored a January <a href="https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2800557?utm_source=For_The_Media&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=ftm_links&amp;utm_term=011823" target="_blank" rel="noopener">paper</a> that concluded that areas with more black residents had more &#8220;dilapidated buildings.&#8221;
Management and organizations professor Sanaz Mobasseri, another <a href="https://www.bu.edu/antiracism-center/profile/sanaz-mobasseri/#:~:text=Sanaz%20Mobasseri%20is%20an%20Assistant,amongst%20employees%20in%20the%20workplace." target="_blank" rel="noopener">scholar</a> at the center, co-authored a <a href="https://journals.aom.org/doi/abs/10.5465/amr.2021.0446" target="_blank" rel="noopener">paper</a> that stated, &#8220;We treat White men as the dominant group and Black people as the archetypal subordinate group in U.S. society.&#8221;
How long Boston University&#8217;s probe into the center will take is unclear.
