Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump">Donald Trump</a> reacted on Wednesday to the Vice President’s appearance on “Beta Male” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/howard-stern" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Howard Stern’s</a> Sirius XM podcast, “The Howard Stern Show,” calling it embarrassing.
“BETA MALE Howard Stern made a fool of himself on his low rated radio show when he ‘interviewed’ Lyin’ Kamala Harris, and hit her with so many SOFTBALL questions that even she was embarrassed,” Trump wrote in a <a href="https://x.com/TrumpDailyPosts/status/1844076014491897992">post</a> he made on his social media platform Truth Social.
“He [Stern] looked like a real fool, working so hard to make a totally incompetent and ill-equipped person look as good as possible, which wasn’t very good,” the president added.
“I dropped Howard a long time ago, like most others, and have since been credited with very good judgment! MAGA2024,” Trump concluded his post.

The Vice President also sat for an interview with “60 Minutes,” where she struggled to answer questions about the multiple wars around the world, her economic plans, and the Biden-Harris administration&#8217;s failure to stop the flow of immigration on the southern border.

“I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced (‘cut and pasted’) Lyin’ Kamala’s answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again, some by as many as four times in a single sentence or thought, all in an effort, possibly illegal as part of the ‘News Division,’ which must be licensed, to make her look ‘more Presidential,’ or a least, better,” Trump’s post read.
“It may also be a major Campaign Finance Violation,” he added. “This is a stain on the reputation of ‘60 Minutes’ that is not recoverable  — It will always remain with this once storied brand. I have never heard of such a thing being done in ‘News.’”
“It is the very definition of FAKE NEWS!” Trump continued. “The public is owed a MAJOR AND IMMEDIATE APOLOGY! This is an open and shut case, and must be investigated, starting today!”

Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> reacted to celebrities like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/george-clooney" target="_blank" rel="noopener">George Clooney</a> and Howard Stern who seem to love to hate him and have made clear they won’t be voting for him against Vice President Kamala Harris.
On Wednesday, during Trump’s appearance on Fox News&#8217; “<a href="https://x.com/C_N_F__on__X/status/1836783605827228128">Gutfeld</a>” show, host Greg Gutfeld introduced a segment called “Celebs can’t quit Donald Trump.&#8221; It included clips from “Jimmy Kimmel Live” when Clooney admitted he thought that Trump might use the “power of the government” against him, but was “comforted in the fact that” Trump’s coming after Kimmel first.
Kimmel also read a post from <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4765706-donald-trump-george-clooney-joe-biden-withdraw-reelection-bid-2024/">Trump</a> in July in which he told Clooney to “get out of politics” and “go back to television.” On the show Tuesday, Clooney replied, “I will if he does.” Trump’s original post came after the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/george-clooney-joins-chorus-of-stars-telling-biden-its-time-to-drop-out-of-race">63-year-old actor</a> took out an op-ed calling on President Joe Biden to drop out of the race following Biden’s disastrous presidential debate against Trump.
In a second clip, Gutfeld played radio shock jock Howard Stern, who made news this week when he said that he didn’t hate Trump, just those who vote for the former president.

“This whole idea of you like me, you are good, and if you don’t, you are bad … I’ve been the victim of this,” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/howard-stern-says-he-doesnt-hate-trump-but-the-people-who-vote-for-him">Stern told his audience</a>. “I don’t agree with Trump politically, I don’t think he should be anywhere near the White House.”
“I don’t hate the guy,” he added. &#8220;I hate the people who vote for him. I think they are stupid. I do. I have no respect for you.”
A third clip showed Kimmel interviewing rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs in August 2018 in which Combs said he wouldn’t make a “good president” because he wouldn’t “pass” any of the things you need to, before taking a dig at Trump, claiming, “but I guess Trump didn’t.”

Gutfeld noted the last clip “didn’t age well&#8221; for Kimmel or Combs, the latter of whom is currently in the news after being denied bail for a second time after being arraigned on racketeering and sex trafficking charges with the release of a New York grand jury indictment.
The host then asked Trump about the hatred he faces from celebs and shared that his theory is that stars like Clooney and Stern feel that way because the former president “puts their fame into the proper perspective when it’s dwarfed by somebody with more fame.&#8221;
“Well I watch and know most of them,” Trump said, noting his long history of being on Stern’s show for a big part of the radio host’s career. “He [Stern] was great at that time, then he went woke.”
“And since he’s gone woke, his ratings have gone down the tube,” he added. “And he sort of went anti-Trump for a couple of reasons … but he’s changed and he doesn’t do the ratings anymore.”

Radio shock jock Howard Stern said he doesn’t hate former President Donald Trump but the people who are supporters of Trump and who vote for him.
During his <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeuh5LQHXY0">Sirius XM</a> “The Howard Stern Show” podcast on Monday, Stern talked about Trump’s post over the weekend in which he wrote “I hate Taylor Swift” in all caps. Trump’s post came on the heels of the pop star’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris immediately after the ABC Presidential Debate. 
&#8220;This whole idea of you like me, you are good, and if you don&#8217;t, you are bad … I&#8217;ve been the victim of this,&#8221; Stern told his audience. &#8220;I don&#8217;t agree with Trump politically, I don&#8217;t think he should be anywhere near the White House.”
“I don&#8217;t hate the guy,” he added.” I hate the people who vote for him. I think they are stupid. I do. I have no respect for you.&#8221;
The radio host then made it clear he’s at the end of his career and said “so f*** you and listen to another station if you don&#8217;t like my views [on Trump],” <a href="https://www.outkick.com/analysis/howard-stern-says-he-hates-anyone-who-votes-hitler-trump-after-second-assassination-attempt">Outkick</a> noted.
Later in the show, Stern agreed with a caller who compared Trump to Hitler, which comes less than 24 hours after the FBI confirmed that there had been a second assassination attempt against the former president, the outlet noted.

Stern has made no secret of his political views in recent years, even going so far as to declare himself proudly “woke” during one of his shows last year when a fan noted that the man, who rose to fame with skits that some labeled sexist and racist, had changed, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/09/20/howard-stern-hits-back-at-critics-who-call-him-woke/">New York Post</a> reported.
&#8220;By the way, I kind of take that as a compliment, that I’m woke,” Stern said. “I’ll tell you how I feel about it. To me, the opposite of woke, is being asleep.”
“And if woke means I can’t get behind Trump, which is what I think it means, or that I support people who want to be transgender, or I’m for the vaccine, dude, call me woke as you f***ing want…I am a woke motherf***er, and I love it,&#8221; he added.

Howard Stern Says He Doesn’t Hate Trump, But The People Who Vote For Him

Radio shock jock Howard Stern lashed out at critics who suggested the White House had fed him questions ahead of his sit-down interview with President Joe Biden.
Stern called out YouTuber David Pakman, who said that Stern&#8217;s interview had been a good one but wondered whether the White House had prompted him to ask specific policy questions, and denied that Biden&#8217;s staff had <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/radio/youve-got-to-fcking-be-kidding-me-howard-stern-goes-off-over-claims-he-asked-biden-planted-questions-from-wh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">any influence</a> over what he&#8217;d chosen to discuss.
Pakman had suggested Biden&#8217;s team was behind him asking about a new policy regarding airline cancellations — namely that the airlines would have to immediately refund ticket prices for canceled flights — but Stern said that the question had actually been prompted by a conversation he had with someone on his show staff.
&#8220;Here’s what happened. When Joe Biden came in, the day before [producer] John Hein and I were talking about some of the accomplishments that we admire that have gone on in the past four years, and John says to me, &#8216;Hey, Howard, did you hear what Joe Biden did with the airlines?'&#8221; he said.
&#8220;Cut the conspiracies,&#8221; Stern said in response to rumors that Biden had been wearing an earpiece during their conversation. &#8220;You’ve gotta f***ing be kidding me! First of all, we controlled all the audio.&#8221;
Stern went on to say that when he requested the interview, he had not wanted it to turn into a long back-and-forth on political issues and policies.
&#8220;My whole goal was not to sit there and talk politics. I’m not into that. I don’t want to debate policy,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;My only agenda [was] I would like to get to know the president because I suspect he’s a very meaningful, very thoughtful guy.&#8221;

President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-biden-must-go-megyn-kelly-blasts-presidents-title-ix-revision" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> followed up his week of tall-tales about his biography by telling radio host Howard Stern about his life-saving feats, being “arrested” as a kid, and more &#8212; none of which was factually accurate.
Speaking on Friday on “<a href="https://www.siriusxm.com/blog/president-joe-biden-howard-stern">The Howard Stern Show</a>,” Biden <a href="https://twitter.com/greg_price11/status/1783900381346410512/video/1">told the host</a> he had “saved” a &#8220;half dozen&#8221; kids from drowning back when he was a lifeguard. When Stern followed up and asked him if he had saved any other lives and if he was still lifeguarding when he was “in law school,&#8221; the president said, “Yeah, people just need help sometime.” These are lies, as noted on <a href="https://x.com/greg_price11/status/1783900381346410512">X</a> by one journalist, who included clips of Biden&#8217;s comments from the show.
Biden claimed that as a <a href="https://x.com/SteveGuest/status/1783875499116167398">Delaware Senator</a> in the 70s &#8212; after he lost his family and before meeting his wife Jill Biden &#8212; he received &#8220;salacious pictures&#8221; from women, but reportedly gave them to the Secret Service.
&#8220;I got put in that 10 Most Eligible Bachelors list,&#8221; Biden said. &#8220;And a lot of lovely women &#8230; would send very salacious pictures and I just give them to the Secret Service. And I thought somebody would think I was &#8230; (the president trailed off)”

However, Senators didn’t have secret service protection and Biden didn’t get that until 2008.
At one point, the president claimed to have been “arrested” as a teenager while “standing on the porch with a black family” at their home as people “were protesting” desegregation, calling it a “true story,” but that is also a lie.
As <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/26/us/politics/biden-howard-stern-trump.html">The New York Times</a> put it, Biden once again stretched the truth about the Delaware arrest. “There is <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/10/us/politics/biden-exaggeration-falsehood.html">no evidence</a> that he was ever arrested at a civil-rights protest,” the Times noted.

During the same interview, Biden told another lie, claiming that he was a &#8220;runner-up&#8221; in &#8220;state scoring&#8221; in football, when the radio host asked the president about playing football in high school.
The fable-filled Stern interview comes after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-appears-to-read-aloud-pause-instruction-from-teleprompter">Biden</a> was slammed on Thursday for telling yet another lie — and it’s one he’s repeated several times after claiming that he used to “drive an 18-wheeler” truck.
At a speech in Florida at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa Bay, Biden made the false claim about his biography, telling the crowd, “I used to drive an 18-wheeler.”
CNN ended up <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/24/politics/fact-check-biden-driving-18-wheeler/index.html">fact checking</a> the claim and admitted it is fictional, despite the repeated times the president has used the debunked tale.
“Biden’s claim remains untrue. There is no evidence he ever drove an 18-wheeler,” the outlet reported.
Last week, Biden <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-claim-that-his-uncle-was-eaten-by-cannibals-might-actually-be-his-most-plausible-tall-tale-yet">claimed</a> that his uncle Ambrose Finnegan — “Uncle Bosie” — “flew those single-engine planes as reconnaissance over war zones, and he got shot down in [Papua] New Guinea. They never found the body because there used to be, there were a lot of cannibals, for real, in that part of New Guinea.”
Megyn Kelly, the host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN6iBtWH-rA">podcast</a>, reacted to Biden’s “Uncle Bosie” tale and said, “He can’t go two seconds with telling another familial lie, something about his background, his son…”
“There were no cannibals,” she added, recalling what the survivor of the crash had said, “and went on to tell us what happened.”

If you mirror the priorities of the Left, then you can do whatever you want. As long as you’re not caught on camera, you’re fine. If you look at the disparate consequences for public figures ranging from people like Russell Brand to people like Howard Stern, the public consequences are quite disparate.
Russell Brand has been accused by four separate women of actions ranging from sexual assault to rape to sexual harassment. Whether the allegations are true or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know is that at this moment, they’re just allegations. There has been no actual criminal indictment brought against him. He’s certainly not been convicted of anything. But YouTube has suspended Brand from making any money on its platform only days after that report broke from Channel 4 and BBC, outlets that used to pay Brand while he was in the midst of his most flagrantly vile behavior.
So if there are serious allegations made against you of any sort, all of your videos immediately get demonetized. (Which is going to be very bad news for a significant number of actors and half the rappers on the block.) That’s a horrible standard. You’ve now created a massive incentive structure for people to make allegations against people, true or false, in order to destroy their careers.
I’m not saying the women who have made allegations about Brand are lying. I don’t know whether they are or not. I do know, at this point, I have no idea how YouTube could possibly uphold such a standard. Does it have something to do with the fact that Brand is a heterodox political thinker, somebody who says things YouTube doesn’t like very much?

Then there’s Howard Stern. Stern has been making headlines the last couple of days by pushing very loudly to the Left. He spent virtually my entire life — from the time I was a teenager — being an absolute deviant and a degraded person beyond all measure. The kinds of behavior that Stern has regularly engaged in publicly throughout his career are nothing short of disgusting. They are disreputable. They are vile toward women; he had women in his studio sit on vibrators so he could record their reactions and blast them out to millions of people in his audience.
But now, Stern is apparently one of our moral exemplars. Over the last couple of days, he ripped into Lauren Boebert, who engaged in what I think is disgusting behavior; he referred to her in vile ways.
How is Howard Stern able to get away with all this? He gets away with it because he mirrors the political priorities of the Left. You be as gross as you want to be so long as you mirror the political priorities of the Left. Stern has discovered the magic elixir that wipes away all of your past and present sins, and that is to be far enough to the Left. He’s saying all the nostrums everybody on the Left really wants to hear, and that means it’s fine for him to do all this.
So why is this important?
Because when you have a class of people who are immunized by their association with certain Left-wing causes, it incentivizes bad behavior by those people. It also creates a massive double standard: If you are heterodox, you can expect to be targeted, but if you are orthodox in your practice of leftism, you can expect you’re going to be given an enormous amount of breathing room.

If you decided one day to go on YouTube looking for old Howard Stern clips, you&#8217;d have a lot of edgy, politically incorrect content to choose from. Stern&#8217;s many segments with an intellectually disabled dwarf comedian named Beetlejuice, for example, aren&#8217;t hard to find. There&#8217;s also a bunch of compilations of people fighting on Stern&#8217;s set, in the style of Jerry Springer, usually over money or adultery. There&#8217;s enough degeneracy to last you weeks, if for some reason you were inclined to watch it.
But there is some recurring Howard Stern content that&#8217;s not so easy to view, because by and large, it&#8217;s been scrubbed from most major video-sharing sites. The segments I&#8217;m talking about involve Stern speaking about his sexual attraction to children, specifically Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Again and again, for several years, Stern described the Olsen twins as sexually attractive. &#8220;They&#8217;re so amazingly hot,&#8221; Stern says in one of the segments, referring to the underage girls. In several cases, Stern brings up the girls unprompted, leading to awkward moments with his co-hosts.
Because it&#8217;s not possible to truly eliminate any content from the internet, you can still find this footage if you know where to look. A small handful of anonymous accounts have defied corporate censors and uploaded some of Stern&#8217;s many disturbing comments about children he finds sexually attractive. Here&#8217;s one example, where Stern laments that the girls, in his estimation, aren&#8217;t as attractive as they were when they were 13-years-old:

There are many more clips like this that we could play. Some are even more disturbing than the one you just heard. This is a grown man, in his 40s at the time, repeatedly sexualizing children who are barely teenagers. Many people have had their lives destroyed and been reduced to groveling apologies for saying things that are not even a tenth as bad as what Stern says there. And that wasn’t even a tenth as bad as other things Stern said.
These clips were nauseating and creepy when he made them and they&#8217;re nauseating and creepy now. There was never a point in American history where it was acceptable to sexualize children like this. But for years, Howard Stern continued doing just that, right out in the open. No one stopped him. He didn&#8217;t seem ashamed of it at all. He tracked the Olsen twins from puberty to adulthood, commenting on their sex appeal, as he perceived it, at every turn.
But somewhere along the line, Howard Stern and his team decided that he had to stop talking about the Olsen twins. And more than that, someone decided that all of Stern&#8217;s past comments about the Olsen twins needed to be purged from the internet. All the other degenerate segments could stay online but the stuff where he lusts after young children — well that had to go. It was different from all of his other smut. It was just too damning.
With that evidence (mostly) expunged from the internet, Stern has embraced pretty much every agenda item of the Fortune 500. He is now officially a woke hall monitor, by his own admission. In fact this week Stern proudly identified as &#8220;woke.&#8221; Listen:

As part of his new &#8220;woke&#8221; persona, Stern attacked Lauren Boebert for her <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/boeberts-estranged-husband-posts-statement-after-theater-incident-i-was-unfaithful-to-lauren" target="_blank" rel="noopener">inappropriate behavior</a> in a theater a few days ago. This is the guy who spent the first three decades of his career being a creepy, degenerate sex fiend. Now he&#8217;s playing the prude. He&#8217;s become a pathetic, old washed-up school marm but he&#8217;s now shielded by his new woke identity. He is immune from accusations of hypocrisy, just like he&#8217;s immune from accusations of being a dirty old man attracted to children.
It&#8217;s a revealing transformation, if only because it shows how little daylight there is between woke hall monitors and depraved pedophilic scumbags. Depraved pedophilic scumbags and woke hall monitors are not two destinations on opposite ends of the spectrum. They&#8217;re in the same neighborhood and there&#8217;s a lot of overlap. And they know it. Howard Stern knows it, which is why he&#8217;s sensitive about all those clips of him salivating over 13-year-old girls.
There are other old clips that are inconvenient for Stern, too, of course — clips that are particularly relevant after what&#8217;s just happened to Alex Jones. Jones, you&#8217;ll recall, was just ordered to pay something like a billion dollars to the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook mass shooting. It bankrupted him. Of course Jones was wrong in what he said about Sandy Hook; he admits that. But as far as we know, Howard Stern has never apologized for his decision to mock the victims of the Columbine school shooting. In fact, Stern didn&#8217;t simply mock these victims, he said their killers should have raped them first, before executing them. Listen:

That&#8217;s pretty much the most vile thing a human being could possibly say. I personally give people a lot of leeway for “jokes” made years ago, in a different time, when people weren’t as sensitive and edgy humor wasn’t as edgy. But this is way beyond the bounds of what would have been considered remotely acceptable even in the ’90s. This is, again, perhaps the worst thing I’ve ever heard anyone say, ever. He is not only joking about a school shooting right after it happened — a day later — but lusting after the survivors and saying that the shooters should have raped their victims. And keep in mind that said all of this when he was a grown man in his mid 40s. But Howard Stern has never been banned from every social media platform for these comments. He wasn&#8217;t ordered to pay a billion dollars. He didn&#8217;t have to pay anything.
That&#8217;s because, fortunately for Stern, he mocked the Columbine victims prior to this new era of woke enlightenment, where free speech is illegal as long as it&#8217;s sufficiently offensive. And now, just to cover his bases, Stern has completed his transition into the cult of wokeness soon enough to protect himself against cancellation. Now they&#8217;re not going to come after him because he&#8217;s on their team.
Meanwhile, Russell Brand is being demonetized based on accusations alone. Unlike Howard Stern, Russell Brand never publicly expressed his sexual attraction to 13-year-old girls. But he has expressed skepticism about big pharma and the war in Ukraine. And for that reason, this week a &#8220;culture committee&#8221; in the UK parliament sent Rumble a letter requesting that they demonetize Russell Brand. The letter reads: &#8220;I am writing concerning the serious allegations regarding Russell Brand &#8230; We would like to know whether Rumble intends to join YouTube in suspending Mr Brand’s ability to earn money on the platform.&#8221;
In the most passive-aggressive fashion imaginable, the U.K. parliament also sent a similar letter to TikTok: &#8220;We would be grateful if you could confirm whether Mr Brand is able to monetise his TikTok posts, including his videos relating to the serious accusations against him, and what the platform is doing to ensure that creators are not able to use the platform to undermine the welfare of victims of inappropriate and potentially illegal behavior.&#8221;
Let&#8217;s take stock of what we&#8217;re seeing here. This is the government of the U.K. effectively telling multiple social media platforms to demonetize one of the most influential commentators on the planet, solely on the basis of unproven allegations. There is no plausible deniability here; they&#8217;re being pretty much as explicit as they can possibly be. Before the Twitter files came out, this would have been dismissed as a wild conspiracy theory. You weren&#8217;t allowed to think that governments were colluding with big tech to censor unapproved voices. Now the government is just coming out and admitting that&#8217;s exactly what it&#8217;s doing. This isn&#8217;t just happening in the U.K.; the Biden administration does it too.
Unlike its competitor YouTube, Rumble emphatically rejected the request from the U.K. government, to their credit. But YouTube is the far bigger platform, and their decision to instantaneously demonetize Russell Brand sets a very worrying precedent. It&#8217;s also totally incoherent. As Elijah Schaffer points out, Cardi B is currently fully monetized on YouTube. This is in spite of the fact that she openly admitted to drugging and robbing men. It&#8217;s on tape. Watch:

Cardi B confessed — bragged about — violent felonies. Her history as a confessed date rapist has not precluded her from major corporate sponsorships or monetization on YouTube. &#8220;Double standard&#8221; isn&#8217;t the right term for this. It&#8217;s really one standard: if you&#8217;re useful to the Left, you can essentially do what you want. That&#8217;s the standard, consistently applied. No one can really deny that anymore. This is not an arbitrary application of shifting sets of standards. This, again, is one standard. Leftists are immune. That’s the rule.
With that in mind, what&#8217;s the appropriate response? Pointing out hypocrisy isn&#8217;t going to do anything. We&#8217;ve learned that much over the past few years. What&#8217;s needed is some courage. We need more of what Rumble is doing. Rumble knows that Russell Brand might actually be guilty of what he&#8217;s accused of doing. After all, he was an admitted sex-addicted degenerate back when these crimes supposedly occurred. It certainly isn&#8217;t outside of the realm of possibility that he did treat the women the way he&#8217;s accused of treating them.
But the leadership of Rumble understands that it makes no sense to un-person Russell Brand based on mere allegations, when we know for a fact that Brand&#8217;s critics are entirely motivated by politics. They want to mete out punishments only to enemies of the regime while its allies and lackeys are given exemptions. Kowtowing to these wannabe strongmen is not a smart or sustainable strategy. All we can really do now is ignore everything that the system says and assume, for all intents and purposes, that everyone they demonize is innocent. If we&#8217;re being honest, that&#8217;s not always going to be true. Sometimes we will be wrong, and we will defend people who are guilty. 
Sometimes the system will say something true or villainize someone who actually is a villain. But they lie so often about so many things and are so blatantly driven by ideology and narrative and are so wildly dishonest all the time, that we have to ignore them completely at this point. By defending and promoting the most odious among us — by embracing ghouls like Howard Stern and Cardi B — they&#8217;ve left us no choice.

Longtime Howard Stern listeners grimaced when the shock jock cried, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/f-your-freedom-howard-stern-latest-celeb-to-blast-unvaccinated-say-hospitals-shouldnt-treat-them" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“F*** their freedom”</a> to anyone who didn’t take the COVID vaccine. Radio’s legendary bad boy took the government’s side, casting liberty in the circular file.
Fans figured the man who famously fought the FCC to tell fart jokes on his terms couldn’t sink any lower. Think again.
Stern recently came out of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1813-how-howard-stern-avoided-cancellation-member-exclusive">closet as woke</a>, a descriptor that completes his transformation from radio rebel to progressive scold.
<blockquote>“To me, the opposite of woke is being asleep …and if woke means I can’t get behind [former President Trump], which is what I think it means, or that I support people who want to be transgender, or I’m for the vaccine — dude, call me woke as you f&#8212;ing want … I am woke, motherf&#8212;er. And I love it.”</blockquote>
It’s a stunning about-face given his decades of raucous radio and ability to capture the Id of the nation. And he had no other option, at least if he wanted to keep cashing those sweet SiriusXM checks.

Stern’s transformation didn’t happen overnight. The talk show titan slowly let go of his sexually outrageous banter, a shift that coincided with growing older. Even hardcore Stern fans might flinch at the 60-something star (he’s 69 now) ogling girls young enough to be his granddaughter.
Everyone grows up. Even the so-called King of All Media (a name he gave himself, and it more or less stuck).
He mended fences with longtime frenemies like Rosie O’Donnell and Kathie Lee Gifford and shared how extensive therapy allowed him to evolve.
The broadcaster doubled down on his signature interviews, leaning into satellite radio’s ability to broadcast indefinitely without a commercial break.
The new, improved Howie had some perks, including a second look from the mainstream media.
Reporters loathed Stern for years, incorrectly predicting his career implosion and framing stories about him in the most negative light possible. He raged against the press portrait on air, but he seemed to draw strength from his enemies.
It was Stern against the world, and his listeners had his back.

Except Stern started to like it when the media reconsidered his work and legacy. He earned sympathetic notices after opening up about both therapy and a cancer scare. <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-features/howard-stern-reveals-cancer-scare-trump-regrets-details-a-dishy-new-book-1208773/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The press even feted him</a> when he produced a tome of his best celebrity interviews, “Howard Stern Comes Again.”
He began hobnobbing with celebrities, not berating them from his SiriusXM perch.
Other elements of his broadcast persona morphed as well. His politically ambiguous nature shifted to the Left, becoming both predictable and erratic. He fawned over both Hillary Clinton and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, figures with closets chock full of skeletons.
The old, straight-shooting Stern became a watered-down Rachel Maddow, subservient to liberal power. Suffice it to say he rages against former President Donald Trump, despite the fact that he once regularly invited him into his studio for ribald chats.
The worst part of Stern 2.0? The man who fought for free speech suddenly went silent as Cancel Culture roared into the public’s consciousness. Few were better positioned to address the issue, at least on paper.
Stern had his satellite radio perch, which gave him more freedom than most broadcasters have. He knew the cultural landscape well, having fought to say what he wanted, when he wanted <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna4695519" target="_blank" rel="noopener">during the 1990s</a>.
And few talk show hosts knew the comedic mindset better than Stern. He worked for decades alongside comic firecrackers like Artie Lange and Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling. Plus, every significant comedian passed through Stern’s studio over the years, including Jerry Seinfeld, Conan O’Brien, and more.
There’s a catch, though.
Stern’s radio career teems with “problematic” material. Skit after skit. Song parody after song parody. Stern dressed in blackface, used racially insensitive words (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRXPVw9R9bg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">even the “n-word”)</a>, and embraced minority stereotypes for yuks.
Day after day. Month after month. Year after year.
And that doesn’t hint at his decades of objectifying women, aggressively coaxing them to remove their clothes in-studio and reveal their most intimate feelings.
All of it on air to titillate the listener and, to use the Left’s language, strip women of their agency. Literally and figuratively.
The mob swiftly came for stars with far less offensive legacies.
Kevin Hart lost the Oscar hosting gig for a single monologue deemed homophobic. “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon did an on-air struggle session after his 20-year-old blackface sketch resurfaced following the George Floyd protests.
Stern trumps them all.

Any single sketch could get him canceled, let alone an entire career full of inappropriate material.
The <a href="https://www.hollywoodintoto.com/howard-stern-blackface-trump-bullying/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">woke mob knocked on Stern’s studio door</a> three years ago, weeks after Floyd’s death. Stern confessed to his thought crimes, claimed he renounced his old material and, shrewdly, blamed Donald Trump, Jr. for pushing the old material to the surface.
Next, he brought up his new, woke bona fides.
<blockquote>“I’m not a hater … I’m excited about gay rights, telling you not to beat up gay people. I’m excited about the changes that are coming out of Black Lives Matter. I think real change might be in the air,” he said before one more odd Trump attack. “If you solve the pandemic, then we can review all my old shows.”</blockquote>
And it worked.
The mob moved on to other targets. They haven&#8217;t gone after him since, and likely never will. The woke mob turns on fellow wokesters last.
Stern still could resist the woke siren song, the cultural movement that essentially devalues his legacy. He could renounce traditional media and go rogue, broadcasting via freer speech platforms like Rumble or follow Joe Rogan to the podcasting realm.
He’d make much less money there, though, and the media’s love for him would evaporate in a New York minute.
Stern made a calculated choice and went woke instead, shattering his legend in the process.

Howard Stern 2.0: Why The Notorious Shock Jock Had No Choice But To Go Woke

No late-night shows, celebrity profiles or awards show gatherings. Major 2023 releases like “Dune 2” could be bumped to 2024, much like the fate of “Kraven the Hunter” and the “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” sequel.
The earth continues to spin, and most people have bigger issues on their minds. Inflation. Gas prices. Their nation turning into a banana republic in real time.
Dueling Hollywood strikes have shut down La La Land, and there’s little panic across the American heartland.
Does anyone outside of the Hollywood area code care?
Stars like <a href="https://people.com/billy-porter-has-to-sell-home-due-to-strike-7574247" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Billy Porter are downsizing</a> while audiences e-watch “The Office” to savor life in the pre-woke era. The writers put away their pens on May 2, with actors joining their strike on July 14. The Hollywood machinery ground to a halt, with only projects birthed outside the traditional gatekeepers moving forward.
Few predict a swift resolution to either strike, and even if the writers end their walkout first they’ll have no one to read their lines.
It’s hard to escape a palpable yawn to all of the above. 
Wait. Don’t audiences love celebrities, follow their every move and listen with rapt attention when they speak? Once upon a time, of course. And they still do, to an extent, but one side of this cultural bromance has been behaving too badly to keep the relationship afloat.
Part of the issue is pragmatic in nature.
Audiences have endless content to explore on a gaggle of streaming platforms, including free options like Pluto TV and Tubi. Video games have never been so sophisticated and engaging. YouTube shares killer podcasts, feisty comic sketches and original fare made for a fraction of what it might cost Hollywood, Inc. to produce.
Who needs the Food Network when you can watch Sam the Cooking Guy’s videos with slick production values and a fraction of the commercial load? Miss “Saturday Night Live?” Try sketches from Ryan Long, Kyle Dunnigan and J.P. Sears instead. They’re waiting for you at the click of a mouse, and they pack a better satirical bite than anything from the NBC showcase.
Much of the independent content being made is 100% woke-free. Another bonus.
Hollywood’s PR problem expands beyond those content alternatives.
The industry has been insulting large swathes of the public for some time now. The problem intensifies during election cycles, but the attacks never fully stop even after all the votes have been counted.
Both <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eSBl1JWIlI&amp;embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.hollywoodintoto.com%2F&amp;feature=emb_title" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Conan O’Brien</a> and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg0pO9VG1J8" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NBC’s “Saturday Night Live”</a>’ compared President Donald Trump’s fans to Nazis in recent years. 
“Please watch our shows and movies. Oh, and by the way, we hate you and your political choices.” That’s just a microscopic look at a larger, more disturbing trend in Hollywood. 
The recent pandemic the bond between audience and artist even more tenuous.
We saw celebrity hypocrisy on full blast via events like the 2021 Met Gala where the stars roamed the halls sans masks while “the help” had <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9989583/Social-media-rages-hypocrtical-Met-Gala-listers-AOC-NOT-wearing-masks.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">their faces covered in cloth</a>. TV shows featured talk show hosts addressing fully masked audiences without a flicker of guilt or shame.
It got worse when some of those talkers <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-news/colbert-trump-coronavirus-protestors-985703/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">attacked everyday Americans</a> for protesting what we now know were cruel, ineffective lockdowns that damaged their businesses.
Sometimes permanently.
Other stars slammed anyone who didn’t get their government-approved COVID-19 vaccine, ignoring factors like natural immunity and medical autonomy along the way.
<a href="https://www.complex.com/pop-culture/a/backwoodsaltar/howard-stern-tears-into-anti-vaxxers-fuck-their-freedom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Howard Stern</a> and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/opinion-those-who-say-screw-your-freedom-dont-understand-freedom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Arnold Schwarzenegger</a> separately cursed America’s freedoms along the way. Only the “Terminator” star <a href="https://www.essentiallysports.com/us-sports-news-bodybuilding-news-years-after-screw-your-freedom-statement-arnold-schwarzenegger-issues-public-apology-im-sorry-for-saying-those-words/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">apologized for his words</a>. <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/09/08/jimmy-kimmel-says-unvaxxed-americans-dont-deserve-icu-beds/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jimmy Kimmel suggested</a> unvaccinated Americans shouldn’t be treated at local hospitals.
Was he kidding? Hard to tell given the rhetoric flowing from La La Land.
More discerning consumers read all about unvaccinated actors finding themselves unemployed. Broadway and TV actor Clifton Duncan <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNwyaE6b2IA" target="_blank" rel="noopener">left the business for that reason</a>, earning a new fan base by calling out the creative community’s draconian measures.
We still have plenty of rock-solid reasons to care about the dueling strikes. Most actors can barely make a living these days, working from gig to gig just to keep their finances afloat. For every Clooney, Streep, or Jordan there are hundreds of actors whose names we’ll never know hoping for their big break. Some may never get it.
This is doubly true for many Hollywood scribes who toil in near complete anonymity.
The current system should reflect the massive technological shifts happening behind Hollywood’s golden walls. Streamers also should be more transparent about how many people watch their shows … and share that information with the stars and scribes who make it all possible.
You can hate Hollywood’s political leanings and understand the system feels rigged or their collective fear over AI’s potential.
Plus, the studios are likely playing hardball while their executives enjoy lavish salaries and lifestyles.
Eventually, we will run low in fresh content and will crave something new beyond Michael Scott’s “Office” shenanigans.
Hollywood strikers have yet another PR problem on their hands. The culture feels a growing divide between the “elites” – the experts who share misinformation while blocking opposing views – and regular Americans who see celebrities as part of that exasperating group.
Hollywood&#8217;s combination of nasty politics and pandemic-era hate makes it darn near impossible to root for either side.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/too-much-for-me-howard-stern-recalls-exhausting-first-time-leaving-his-bunker-in-2-years-for-fear-of-catching-covid/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Howard Stern</a> made the absurdly dire prediction Monday that a victory by former NFL legend Herschel Walker over incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/top-atlanta-based-pollster-predicts-outright-win-for-herschel-walker-still-possible/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Georgia Senate race</a> would trigger  &#8220;another civil war.&#8221; Stern, who made his name with low-brow humor long before he ever ventured into political prognostications, made the over-the-top claim on the <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/podcasts/howard-stern-goes-off-on-georgia-voters-considering-mental-case-herschel-walker-how-the-fck-can-you-elect-that-guy/">Sirius XM</a> &#8220;The Howard Stern Show&#8221; podcast. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/howard-stern" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Stern</a> and co-host Robin Quivers were discussing the GOP candidate when Stern launched into a profane tirade.
&#8220;Some of these candidates that people are actually, &#8212; f***ing Herschel Walker!&#8221; the podcast host said. &#8220;Holy f***. They&#8217;re saying he&#8217;s going to win in Georgia. Are you f***ing dummies?&#8221;

&#8220;They always talk about another civil war,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I think there is going to be one. I mean, how the f*** could you elect that guy? You got to be outta your f***ing skull.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t care what party, what you believe, what you think would be good for America,&#8221; Stern continued. &#8220;Would you really vote for this f***ing — I don&#8217;t know what the f*** he is. I was going to say mental case but I don&#8217;t even know if that&#8217;s fair to mental cases.&#8221;
Stern&#8217;s attack on Walker included no discussion of the African American football great&#8217;s politics, but be borrowed a line from <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-calling-for-americans-to-unite-demonizes-republicans-as-a-threat-to-democracy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">President Joe Biden&#8217;s</a> speech last week, saying &#8220;democracy&#8221; itself is on the ballot Tuesday.
&#8220;I love this country,&#8221; the host shared. &#8220;I love what it stands for. I know the history of the world. I&#8217;ve seen what happens when people who are authoritarians — who want to control the vote, fix the vote, and then eventually eliminate the vote — I know what that means and I know the kind of society you’d be in.&#8221;
He continued with dark warnings about democracy slipping away, in an apparent reaction to former President Trump&#8217;s ongoing claims the 2020 election was rigged.
&#8220;You have no idea what you have &#8217;til it&#8217;s gone,&#8221; Stern continued. &#8220;I&#8217;m going to suggest to you that the things you enjoy about this country, the freedoms, they will all be gone when you elect someone who says, &#8216;I don&#8217;t believe the vote. F— you. We&#8217;re going and we&#8217;re taking over.&#8217; That&#8217;s how Hitler came to power.&#8221;
The latest polls prior to Election Day had Walker up by a narrow margin in a field that includes third-party candidates. But if neither he nor Warnock tops 50%, the two will square off in a runoff.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/howard-stern">Howard Stern</a> finally left home for the first time since the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/covid-19">COVID</a> pandemic began, and he’s still stressed about the adventure.
The 68-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">shock jock</a> is also a self-professed germaphobe, which made him especially cautious when it came to COVID. He’s been hiding out in his “bunker” for the past two years but was finally spotted out at the restaurant Laser Wolf in Brooklyn&#8217;s Williamsburg neighborhood over the weekend with a bunch of other celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jimmy-kimmel">Jimmy Kimmel</a>, Jon Hamm, Justin Theroux, and Jason Bateman, Page Six <a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/10/03/germaphobe-howard-stern-goes-out-to-dinner-for-first-time-since-2020">reported</a>. He was reportedly mask free at the table.
Stern discussed the experience of going out for the first time in so long on the Monday episode of his radio show, which he’s been recording from home all along. 
“I really had an exhausting weekend, emotionally, physically,” he explained. “For the first time in two years I ventured out of the house.”
As for the overall experience, he said, “It was too much for me. It was too much. I haven’t been out in two years.”
Stern said it was Kimmel who’s been urging him to come out and socialize. He extended the dinner invitation to the radio host and his wife, Beth Ostrosky, who has been quarantining with him. She wanted to go but he did not.
“I said to my wife, ‘I don’t want to go, I’m in a panic, I don’t want to get COVID,&#8217;” Stern told the audience. He and Ostrosky are both vaccinated, he said, but that didn’t affect his decision. 
“I know our president has told us the pandemic is over and everyone is walking around without masks … I still just don’t want to get COVID.&#8221;
The so-called &#8220;King of All Media&#8221; joked in the past that anyone stopping by his house first had to get tested for COVID and either way had to wear hazmat suits. Kimmel said that when he stayed with Stern for a few days over the summer, he and his wife had to present two negative tests, the publication reported.
The “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host said, “We’re worried that we’re going to lose you from society because the longer this goes on, the more comfortable you get in that little world. And then it’s harder and harder to get out of it … it’s unhealthy.”
“F*** it, I’m being a p****, I know,” Stern agreed, before saying dinner with friends was an option he’d consider.
“For me, [COVID] is still going on and I haven’t left my house. I can’t figure out how to integrate myself,” Stern said in November 2021. “I’ve been locked up so long and I haven’t gotten COVID. I’m afraid I’ll be the one a**hole who gets COVID and I’ll die. Even though people don’t seem to be dying that much [anymore].”

Radio shock jock Howard Stern says actor Bradley Cooper has agreed to join his 2024 ticket when he runs for president.
Stern said on his SiriusXM show on Wednesday that after he announced his run two days before, Cooper texted his congratulations. That&#8217;s when Stern asked the “A Star Is Born” actor if he&#8217;d serve as his vice president.
“He said yes, so my search is over,&#8221; Stern said. “This guy is gonna bring in the female vote like you wouldn’t believe.&#8221;
Now, Stern, 68, is most likely joking. But he has dabbled in politics before. Back in 1994, Stern <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/1994/08/05/nyregion/for-stern-it-s-balk-radio-he-ends-bid-for-governor.html">ran</a> for New York governor as a libertarian. But he bailed after being required to reveal his personal finances.
Stern <a href="https://www.nydailynews.com/snyde/ny-howard-stern-clarence-thomas-robin-quivers-20220627-zknf4aeypjfg7dpo57dwexknhq-story.html">blasted</a> Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on Monday and vowed to run for president after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
&#8220;Party like it’s 1959,&#8221; Stern said on his SiriusXM show, mocking the 6-3 decision as being behind the times.
“I hope they roll it all the way back to slavery and then they slap him on a plantation,” said co-host Robin Quivers, who, like Thomas, is black.
Both hosts pointed out that Thomas, nominated by a Republican, is married to a white woman, which was illegal before the high court’s 1967 ruling in the case of Loving v. Virginia.
“The whole mess we’re in with that lightweight, Clarence Thomas, who’s been sitting there like Darth Vader, dormant, waiting for other kooks to join the Supreme Court and waiting and waiting through the decades,” Stern said.
Stern said he might run for president to do away with the Electoral College, pointing out that Democrat Hillary Clinton got more popular votes in the 2016 presidential election than Donald Trump. He said that allowed Trump to appoint “deranged&#8221; Supreme Court justices that deliver rulings contrary to public majority opinion.
“This is Trump’s legacy. I hope he’s happy. Back-alley abortions,&#8221; Stern said. &#8220;The country is not bad. This Taliban government that has gotten in, is by the minority.” Again, he&#8217;s apparently unaware that Democrats control the White House and both chambers of Congress.
“Do you want to start regulating the bedroom?” Stern said Monday. “We were past all this and we still are.”
