The member of the Finnish parliament facing <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/christian-politician-in-finland-grandmother-of-six-on-trial-after-posting-bible-tweet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">prosecution over her religious beliefs</a> was back in court this week, facing a trial for expressing her <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/christianity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Christian</a> views on marriage and sexuality.
Parliamentarian Päivi Räsänen <a href="https://adfinternational.org/trial-about-censorship-of-finnish-politicians-bible-tweet/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appeared</a> before the Helsinki Court of Appeal on Thursday and Friday to defend her beliefs after she was charged with “hate speech” violations, including for a 2019 tweet that included pictures of Bible verses and a pamphlet she wrote on marriage back in 2004.
“Everyone should be able to share their beliefs without fearing censorship by state-authorities. I know that the prosecution is trying to make an example of me to scare others into silence. Yet, you do not have to align with my views to agree that everyone should be able to speak freely. With God’s help I will remain steadfast and continue defending everyone’s human right to free speech,” Räsänen said on the first day of her new trial, according to the Alliance Defending Freedom International, which is supporting the parliamentarian’s defense. 
She was unanimously acquitted by the District Court of Helsinki for the same charges back in March 2022.
Bishop Juhana Pohjola is also being prosecuted for publishing the pamphlet under charges related to “war crimes and crimes against humanity” in the criminal code of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/finland" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Finland</a>. 
Prosecutors have argued that they “can limit freedom of expression in the outward expression of religion.” They also said that the 2019 tweet was criminal because of Räsänen&#8217;s interpretation of the verse. “You can cite the Bible, but it is Räsänen’s interpretation and opinion about the Bible verses that are criminal,” the prosecutor said. 
Paul Coleman, the executive director of ADF International and a member of Räsänen’s legal team, said that Finland’s hate speech laws were a danger to democratic societies.

“In a democratic society, everyone should be free to share their beliefs without fear of state prosecution. Criminalizing speech through so-called ‘hate-speech’ laws shuts down important public debates and endangers democracy. Cases like Päivi’s create a culture of fear and censorship and are becoming increasingly common worldwide. We hope the Helsinki Court of Appeal will uphold the fundamental right to freedom of speech and clear Päivi Räsänen of these baseless charges,” he said. 
The case has garnered international attention <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-lawmakers-slam-prosecution-of-finnish-politician-over-religious-beliefs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">with Republicans urging</a> State Department Officials to step in and support Räsänen. Earlier this month, Republican representatives sent a letter to Douglas Hickey, America’s ambassador to Finland, and Rashad Hussain, the ambassador for the U.S. Office of Religious Freedom, in her defense.

The &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/barbie-is-the-worst-film-ive-never-seen" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Barbie</a>&#8221; movie has been banned in Algeria, which slammed the film&#8217;s &#8220;damaging morals&#8221; and promotion of &#8220;homosexuality&#8221; after it had initially opened in the north African country.
The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-led film opened three weeks ago in the country, bringing in about 40,000 viewers, but the movie has since been pulled from theaters after the country&#8217;s Ministry of Culture and Arts asked for its withdrawal, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/algeria-bans-barbie-movie-media-official-source-say-2023-08-14/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reuters</a> reported.
The movie was reportedly taken down because it was deeemed to &#8220;promote homosexuality and did not comply with Algeria&#8217;s religious and cultural beliefs,&#8221; an &#8220;official source&#8221; told the outlet.

The government informed the local distributor MD Ciné and leading cinemas that the film was being pulled for &#8220;damaging morals,&#8221; according to the private news site 24H Algérie, which was first to report the ban, the outlet noted.
The move comes after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/barbie-banned-in-kuwait-and-lebanon-could-be-next-as-govt-official-says-it-promotes-homosexuality" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kuwait announced</a> on August 9 that the Greta Gerwig-directed feminist fantasy and the supernatural horror film &#8220;Talk to Me&#8221; was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/barbie-banned-in-kuwait-and-lebanon-could-be-next-as-govt-official-says-it-promotes-homosexuality" target="_blank" rel="noopener">banned</a> in the country to protect &#8220;public ethics and social traditions,&#8221; according to <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/lebanon-minister-moves-ban-barbie-film-promoting-homosexuality-2023-08-09/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reuters</a>.
The chairman of Kuwait&#8217;s film censorship committee, Lafi Al-Subaie, accused &#8220;Barbie&#8221; of &#8220;carrying ideas that encourage unacceptable behavior and distort society&#8217;s values,&#8221; local media outlets reported.

Last week, Lebanon’s cultural minister, Mohammad Mortada, also moved to ban the film, stating that it promotes &#8220;homosexuality and sexual transformation&#8221; and &#8220;contradicts values of faith and morality&#8221; by diminishing the importance of the family unit, according to the outlet.
Based on Mortada&#8217;s comments, Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi asked General Security&#8217;s censorship committee to review the film and give its recommendation, with it widely believed it will also be banned, the <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/barbie-banned-kuwait-homosexuality-1235560252/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hollywood Reporter</a> noted.
Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates were also reportedly &#8220;considering&#8221; a ban, but the film ended up opening on August 10. However, it remains unclear if the film was edited, per requests by the censors, before its release, THR noted.
Last month, the film was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/vietnam-bans-barbie-movie-due-to-south-china-sea-map-depiction-in-film" target="_blank" rel="noopener">banned</a> in Vietnam due to content that government officials found offensive.

Some redacted parts of former President Barack Obama&#8217;s letter to his ex-girlfriend were revealed over the weekend, in which he reportedly said that he fantasized about men on a daily basis.
The news comes after historian David Garrow — who wrote Obama’s 2017 biography “Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama” — during a recent interview with journalist David Samuels <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/obama-fantasized-about-making-love-to-men-in-letter-to-his-girlfriend-his-biographer-says">talked</a> about various aspects of the president&#8217;s life, both politically and personally. Garrow said the letter was the most surprising thing he learned about Obama.
The New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/08/12/barack-obama-told-ex-i-make-love-to-men-daily-but-in-the-imagination">reported</a> that the redacted portion of the 1982 letter — which is owned by Emory University and no one is allowed to photograph — was transcribed by Garrow&#8217;s friend Harvey Klehr and sent to Garrow.
&#8220;In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life,&#8221; Obama wrote in 1982. &#8220;You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination.&#8221;
Obama, 21 years old at the time, said in the letter to Alex McNear that his mind was part male and part female.
&#8220;My mind is androgynous to a great extent and I hope to make it more so until I can think in terms of people, not women as opposed to men,&#8221; he said. &#8220;But, in returning to the body, I see that I have been made a man, and physically in life, I choose to accept that contingency.&#8221;

Garrow said that when he read Obama&#8217;s book, &#8220;Dreams from My Father,&#8221; he found the entire work to be &#8220;a crock.&#8221;
&#8220;It’s not history,” he said. “It’s all make-believe. Who knows what the real story is?”
Garrow said that the first time he met Obama at the White House in the Oval Office, Obama had “this big pile of all his journals over the years.”
“And he’s arranged it this way on purpose—to show me that he has them, and so he can tell me that I can’t see them,” he said. “He’s got this big sack, I want to call it a cloth sack or a canvas sack, in the bottom of which are the journals. And then on the top of it is the typescript printout of my manuscript. So he’s carrying them around together.”
Garrow said that the materials Obama had included were his letters to and from one of his girlfriends and that they would likely never be made public. “I wouldn’t be astonished if he burns them,” he said.
When asked why Obama did not want anyone to see his journals and letters, Garrow said, “He wants people to believe his story. For me to conclude that Dreams from My Father was historical fiction—oh God, did that infuriate him.”

<a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/christianity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anglican</a> ministers met in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/africa" target="_blank" rel="noopener">African</a> nation of Rwanda this week to issue a rebuke against the Church of England’s recent commitment to endorse so-called <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/homosexuality" target="_blank" rel="noopener">same-sex</a> marriages.
The Church of England’s General Synod approved a <a href="https://www.churchofengland.org/media-and-news/press-releases/prayers-gods-blessing-same-sex-couples-take-step-forward-after-synod" target="_blank" rel="noopener">motion</a> earlier this year to “publicly, unreservedly, and joyfully” welcome same-sex couples into their congregations, where they can “receive God’s blessing” after a civil marriage or civil partnership, even as ministers remain unable to perform same-sex wedding ceremonies. Members of the General Synod also voted to “lament and repent” the Anglican Communion’s failure to “welcome LGBTQI+ people.”
Bishops and clergy members from the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans, an alliance of conservative Anglican churches also known as GAFCON, assembled in the Rwandan capital city of Kigali this week and released a <a href="https://www.gafcon.org/news/gafcon-iv-the-kigali-commitment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> against the decision. They rejected Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, as the “first among equals” for bishops in the worldwide Anglican Communion, a body rooted in the traditions of the English Reformation, which spread across the globe amid the spread of the British Empire.
“Since the Lord does not bless same-sex unions, it is pastorally deceptive and blasphemous to craft prayers that invoke blessing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit,” the document said. “Refusal to follow the biblical teaching that the only appropriate context for sexual activity is the exclusive lifelong union of a man and a woman in marriage violates the created order.”
GAFCON attendees also endorsed a previous <a href="https://twitter.com/GafconGBE/status/1627622610388324355" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> from the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches, also known as the GSFA, which said that the Church of England has “disqualified herself” from serving as the Anglican Communion’s mother church.
“The Church of England has chosen to break communion with those provinces who remain faithful to the historic biblical faith expressed in the Anglican formularies,” the statement read. “Our calling to be ‘a holy remnant’ does not allow us to be ‘in communion’ with those provinces that have departed from the historic faith and taken the path of false teaching.”
Christian self-identification in the United Kingdom and other European nations has declined over the past several decades as more residents profess agnostic or atheistic beliefs. Bishops who align with GAFCON and the GSFA now represent 85% of Anglicans across the world.
The secularization of the West has forced ministers in various denominations to clarify their stances on biblical sexual ethics. Pastors in the conservative evangelical Presbyterian Church in America, also known as the PCA, narrowly approved a <a href="https://pcaga.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Overture-15-Westminster-amend-BCO-7-self-identified-homosexuals.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">measure</a> last summer affirming that “identification as a ‘homosexual’ is sinful and against nature itself, is something God detests, and is not fitting for an officer of the Church of Christ” after some contended that one could self-identify as a homosexual and serve as a pastor while remaining celibate.

The hard-Left Associated Press blared the &#8220;news&#8221; from the rooftops: &#8220;Pope says homosexuality not a crime,&#8221; screamed the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/pope-francis-gay-rights-ap-interview-1359756ae22f27f87c1d4d6b9c8ce212?utm_source=apnews&amp;utm_medium=relatedcontentmodule">headline</a> on Wednesday.
&#8220;Pope Francis criticized laws that criminalize homosexuality as &#8216;unjust,&#8217; saying God loves all his children just as they are and called on Catholic bishops who support the laws to welcome LGBTQ people into the church,&#8221; said the lead.
&#8220;&#8216;Being homosexual isn’t a crime,&#8217; Francis said during an exclusive interview Tuesday with The Associated Press.&#8221;
The AP went further, saying: &#8220;Francis’ comments, which were hailed by gay rights advocates as a milestone, are the first uttered by a pope about such laws. But they are also consistent with his overall approach to LGBTQ people and belief that the Catholic Church should welcome everyone and not discriminate.&#8221;
But toward the end of the lengthy story, the wire service added this quote from the pope, saying he &#8220;articulated the position&#8221;:
&#8220;It’s not a crime. Yes, but it’s a sin. Fine, but first let’s distinguish between a sin and a crime,&#8221; the pontiff said.
So, as President Joe Biden said last week about all those classified documents being found in his properties, &#8220;there&#8217;s no there there.&#8221;
Pope Francis has long said that the Catholic Church is open to all. Jesus Christ famously preached tolerance and understanding for all of God&#8217;s children.
The pope said discriminating against others was sinful: &#8220;It&#8217;s also a sin to lack charity with one another, so what about that?&#8221;
And for the record, the church views all sex outside of Catholic marriage as sinful, not just homosexual sex. So the pope really wasn&#8217;t saying anything new &#8212; let alone newsworthy.
What&#8217;s more, the Catholic Church doctrine says gay people must be welcomed into the church and treated with respect, even if their homosexual acts are considered &#8220;intrinsically disordered.&#8221;
The church has said this before. In 2021, the Vatican&#8217;s doctrinal office decreed that the church could not bless same-sex unions because &#8220;God cannot bless sin.&#8221;
And back in 2020, Francis did express support for making some sort of mechanism for same-sex unions. &#8220;What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered,” Francis said in the documentary, “Francesco,” which debuted at the Rome Film Festival, noting he views gay people as children of God. “I stood up for that,&#8221; The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/21/world/europe/pope-francis-same-sex-civil-unions.html">reported</a>.
Even his declaration that homosexuality is not a crime is not new. The pope has condemned laws in some nations that deem homosexuality a crime, saying bishops from those countries should undergo a process of &#8220;conversion&#8221; to help them welcome LGBTQ people into their ministry &#8220;with tenderness.&#8221;
We should note, however, that it is unclear which reboot of the &#8220;Spiderman&#8221; series the pope prefers. We&#8217;ll bring that to you promptly when we find out because that will be news.

A <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/crime" target="_blank" rel="noopener">criminal</a> case against street preacher John Dunn was tossed from the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/united-kingdom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">British</a> court system after two women in a <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/homosexuality" target="_blank" rel="noopener">same-sex marriage</a> accused the Christian of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/hate-speech" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hate speech</a>.
Dunn, a veteran of the British Army’s Special Forces and a throat cancer survivor, regularly preaches in the town square of Swindon, according to a <a href="https://christianconcern.com/ccpressreleases/win-for-arrested-preacher-after-crown-prosecution-claims-parts-of-bible-no-longer-appropriate-in-modern-society/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">press release</a> from Christian Legal Centre, which represented him throughout the legal proceedings. Dunn, who often discusses biblical doctrine related to sexuality as described in Genesis 1, told two women holding hands that he hoped they were “sisters.” After the women responded that they were in a same-sex marriage, Dunn said that “homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God,” which is a direct quote from 1 Corinthians 6.
The women subsequently reported the preacher to law enforcement. Prosecutors contended that Dunn was guilty of hate speech because he had “offended” and “upset” a member of the public. The case was dismissed after the two women who accused Dunn failed to appear in court, even though a police officer reportedly visited their home and encouraged them to attend the hearing scheduled for November 13.
“When I preach, I only ever say what is in the Bible. When they told me they were in a same-sex marriage, I was concerned for them,” Dunn said in a statement provided to Christian Legal Centre after the dismissal. “I had to communicate the consequences of their actions based on what the Bible says. I wanted to warn them, not out of condemnation, but out of love. I wanted to them to know that there is forgiveness through the love of Jesus.”
The women accused Dunn of shouting that they would “burn in hell,” even though Dunn lost his voice box during his battle with cancer.
Prosecutors had argued that certain biblical doctrines “are simply no longer appropriate in modern society and which would be deemed offensive if stated in public.” Martin Parsons, a Christian theologian who provided expert evidence in response to the prosecutors’ assertions, noted that the public reading of Scripture during the Reformation was among the first steps toward broader freedom of religion in Britain. The words of the Old and New Testaments still hold an important place in British public life, including the coronation and funeral of recently deceased Queen Elizabeth II.
“The Bible has had a unique status within British constitutional history,” Parsons observed. “The suggestion by the crown that there are parts of the Bible ‘which are simply no longer appropriate in modern society and which would be deemed offensive if stated in public,’ is one that if accepted would have significant constitutional implications.”
Dunn remarked that he intends to continue street preaching. He is regularly joined by Shaun O’Sullivan, a former drug dealer who was converted under his ministry.
Several countries in Europe have made international headlines for penalizing citizens publicly espousing historic Christian teachings on matters such as homosexuality and transgenderism. Päivi Räsänen, a member of the Finnish Parliament, faced multiple criminal charges earlier this year after she <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/christian-politician-in-finland-grandmother-of-six-on-trial-after-posting-bible-tweet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> a screenshot of a Bible verse depicting pride as a sin.
Tobias Riemenschneider, a pastor in Frankfurt, Germany, recently <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/christians-against-the-abuse-of-power-theologians-around-the-world-sign-statement-rejecting-government-lockdowns" target="_blank" rel="noopener">contended</a> in the Frankfurt Declaration of Christian and Civil Liberties that Western nations’ descent into totalitarianism encroaches upon individual liberties, particularly with respect to worship and religion. “God has delegated authority to civil governments for the purpose of rewarding good and punishing evil, and to protect the God-given rights and freedoms granted to all people,” the statement reads.

The trading floors of the New York Stock Exchange were filled with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lgbtq" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pride flags</a> as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/homosexuality" target="_blank" rel="noopener">homosexual</a> dating app Grindr debuted on public <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/stock-market" target="_blank" rel="noopener">markets</a>.
Leaders of the company <a href="https://twitter.com/NYSE/status/1593612238681694208" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rang the opening bell</a> on Friday as individuals assembled throughout the historic building waved the “progress pride flag,” which includes the colors pink and blue to represent <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transgenderism</a>, as well as black and brown to represent <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/diversity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">diversity</a>. Large versions of the flag were also seen hanging throughout the building.
Grindr made its initial public offering through a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) called Tiga Acquisition Corporation. The firm’s common stock will trade under the symbol GRND.
“Today marks an important milestone not only for the team at Grindr, but for the LGBTQ community we serve,” Grindr CEO George Arison remarked in a <a href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20221118005093/en/Grindr-Completes-Business-Combination-to-Begin-Trading-November-18th-2021-as-NYSE-GRND" target="_blank" rel="noopener">press release</a>. “We enter the public markets with momentum, carried by our market leadership, strong financial performance and significant growth runway as we step up investment in our core product and services. I am thrilled to work with our team and investors as we continue expanding our platform and enhance the critical social infrastructure for a traditionally underserved community.”
Grindr users spent an average of 61 minutes on the app each day as of December 2021, according to the company, which earned $90 million in revenue during the first half of 2022. The company believes that there exists a $4 billion total addressable market for its services.
The entrance of Grindr onto public markets occurs as acceptance for homosexuality and transgenderism has quickly risen among Americans. Earlier this year, a <a href="https://news.gallup.com/poll/389792/lgbt-identification-ticks-up.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poll</a> from Gallup indicated that nearly 21% of Generation Z and over 10% of Millennials identify as LGBT, while roughly 4% of Generation X and less than 3% of Baby Boomers indicate the same.
Another <a href="https://news.gallup.com/poll/350486/record-high-support-same-sex-marriage.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poll</a> from Gallup found last year that a majority of Republicans expressed support for legal same-sex marriage for the first time in history. Twelve Republican members of the Senate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/senate-advances-same-sex-marriage-bill-with-some-gop-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">joined</a> their Democratic colleagues on Wednesday in a procedural vote to advance the Respect for Marriage Act, a piece of legislation that would codify same-sex marriage into federal law.
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said in a <a href="https://twitter.com/SenatorRomney/status/1592978815890124801" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> that he voted in favor of advancing the bill despite his personal belief in traditional marriage because Obergefell v. Hodges has been “the law of the land upon which LGBTQ people have relied.” Though the former Republican presidential nominee added that he was satisfied with religious freedom protections included in the bill, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) remarked in another <a href="https://twitter.com/SenMikeLee/status/1593000633954865153?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1593000633954865153%7Ctwgr%5E25353db1d07f622a0ebb595d228af91f6e7c8813%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailywire.com%2Fnews%2Fsenate-advances-same-sex-marriage-bill-with-some-gop-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> that he voted against the motion because “religious liberty protections” were “severely anemic and largely illusory.”
Corporate America has likewise expressed support for LGBTQ ideology and engaged in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/disney-is-a-guest-in-florida-florida-lawmakers-consider-terminating-disneys-district" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pressure campaigns</a> against state governments that oppose the movement. The NASDAQ, which follows the NYSE as the second-largest stock exchange in the world, filed a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sec-greenlights-stock-exchanges-race-gender-lgbtq-diversity-mandate-for-corporate-boards" target="_blank" rel="noopener">proposal</a> last year with the Securities and Exchange Commission to create new listing rules that would “require all companies” the exchange to “publicly disclose consistent, transparent diversity statistics regarding their board of directors.” Companies must have, or “explain why they do not have,” at least two diverse directors, including one who “self-identifies” as female and one who identifies themselves as “LGBTQ+” or an underrepresented minority.

Embattled actor <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/topic/kevin-spacey/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kevin Spacey</a> maintained his innocence, claiming in court on Monday that his publicist was the one who made him apologize to actor Anthony Rapp, who has accused him of sexual assault and is suing for $40 million in damages.
&#8220;I was being encouraged to apologize and I’ve learned a lesson, which is never apologize for something that you didn’t do. I regret my entire statement,&#8221; <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/news/kevin-spacey-trial-cries-anthony-rapp-apology-1235406412/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spacey said in court</a> in New York City, as his emotions got the better of him and he began to cry. &#8220;It’s my responsibility. I put it out there. It was really wrong. It was really bad and I’m deeply sorry. I have to own that.&#8221;
Rapp accused the Academy-Award-winning actor of making inappropriate sexual advances toward him in 1986 — when Rapp was just 14 years old — in a bombshell Buzzfeed article. <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/horrifying-spacey-quasi-admits-molesting-14-year-ben-shapiro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spacey</a> responded to the accusation by publicly coming out as gay, denying any memory of the incident described by Rapp.
&#8220;If I did behave as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior,&#8221; Spacey said in a public statement — a statement that he now says was given only at the instruction of his publicist.
He explained in court that at the time, he had just felt blind-sided and he &#8220;literally didn’t know how to respond.&#8221; That was when his publicist counseled him not to come out forcefully against Rapp, saying that he ran the risk of people then accusing him of blaming the victim.
Spacey also made a number of <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/kevin-spacey-testifies-sex-abuse-trial-anthony-rapp-father-neo-nazi-203617192.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">other revelations</a> on the stand Monday, specifically about his family life early on, when his attorney asked him to explain why he had not come out as gay earlier in his career.
&#8220;My father was a white supremacist and a neo-Nazi. It meant that my siblings and I had to listen to my father lecturing us for hours and hours and hours about his beliefs and his ideas,&#8221; Spacey explained.
He went on to say that his father had been vocal about his concern that a young Spacey might be gay because of his interest in theatre — and it was clear that he did not approve.
&#8220;Everything about what was happening in that house was something I felt I had to keep to myself and keep private and never, ever talk about to anybody,&#8221; he continued, adding, &#8220;My father would scream at me, &#8216;Don&#8217;t be a —.&#8217; He would use an F-word that is very derogatory to the gay community. I won&#8217;t say it in court. As I continued in my life, I think I just — I had a degree of shame, because I wanted people to remember the characters that I played and not know too much about me.&#8221;

Madonna, full name Madonna Louise Ciccone, has displayed increasingly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/no-dignity-in-whatever-this-is-madonnas-followers-horrified-with-her-new-tiktok-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bizarre</a> behavior online with highly-filtered and over-sexualized posts in recent years.
&#8220;If I miss, I&#8217;m gay!&#8221; read the text over the &#8220;Material Girl&#8221; singer&#8217;s post.
In the video, Madonna shows off a pair of pink panties, bunches them up in her hands, and throws them across the room. The next shot shows the panties a couple of feet short of a trash can.
Wearing all white and rocking hot pink hair and bleached eyebrows, Madonna looks at the camera with her hand on her hip and shrugs.

On TikTok, followers reacted not only to the content of the video post, but the singer&#8217;s look.
&#8220;Did I just witness Madonna coming out, good for her,&#8221; one person said, while another reacted, &#8220;We are witnessing herstory.&#8221;
&#8220;Did Madonna just come out? And I’m witnessing it in real time??&#8221; someone said, as another comment read, &#8220;Coming out at 64?&#8221;
&#8220;Did .. madonna.. just come out?&#8221; the TikTok reactions continued. &#8220;Madonna has been bi for years don’t act surprised besides I gotta say she is living her lifeee!!&#8221; someone else said. &#8220;Yessss.&#8221;
&#8220;Madonna has been an out bisexual for literally decades my dudes,&#8221; another similar reaction went.
During the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards , Madonna notably <a href="https://www.buzzfeed.com/larryfitzmaurice/britney-spears-madonna-recreate-2003-vmas-kiss" target="_blank" rel="noopener">kissed</a> singers Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on the mouth during a wedding-themed performance. Earlier this year, Madonna and Spears reenacted the kiss at the latter&#8217;s wedding to Sam Asghari.
&#8220;I wouldn’t have recognized her,&#8221; one comment on the singer&#8217;s appearance said. &#8220;Doesn’t look like Madonna.&#8221;
&#8220;After seeing all of these celebrities I’ve decided to never have surgery to change my physical appearance, you just need more until it’s too much,&#8221; another TikTok user posted.
Back in April, fans of Madonna expressed horror over her new look, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/no-dignity-in-whatever-this-is-madonnas-followers-horrified-with-her-new-tiktok-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire</a> reported.
In the 13-second video, the &#8220;Like a Virgin&#8221; singer pursed her lips while leaning back and forth in front of the camera, wearing heavy silver chains and a black sheer top.
&#8220;Sad,&#8221; one person captioned the video. &#8220;Kids, don&#8217;t do drugs or liberalism.&#8221;

When I saw the footage, I didn’t know how to react. Scream at the top of my lungs? Break down and weep? Or call the police?
I’m talking about a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vjz1NPetpd4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">short video clip</a> featuring drag queens engaging in despicable behavior with little children. (Let the viewer be forewarned.) The clip begins with a little girl touching one of the drag queens inappropriately, seemingly at the performer’s direction. I kid you not.
The Chattanooga, Tennessee, bar that hosted the event, however, assured concerned citizens the drag queen was a biological female. Well, that’s a relief.
For many years now, conservative activists have warned that the normalizing of deviant sexual behavior would one day lead to the normalizing of pedophilia, a charge vehemently rejected by far-left activists. Now, in front of our eyes, it seems to be happening.
The question is, will we let it happen on our watch?
To be clear, no one is talking about normalizing the raping of children. And not only are most gays not pedophiles, they are as sickened as anyone by predators who victimize children. Yet, for years a small subset within the gay community has openly sought to destigmatize pedophilic attraction.
And there is no denying the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mom-blasts-school-board-over-drag-show-for-high-schoolers-while-wearing-the-same-outfit-the-drag-queen-wore">growing trend of drag queens</a> displaying themselves sexually <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ny-library-hosts-events-for-young-teens-to-learn-the-art-of-drag">to little children</a>, all while other adults watch with amusement.
Is this not the very slippery slope of which we have warned?
As for pederasty in homosexual history, Jim Kepner, formerly curator of the International Gay and Lesbian Archives in Los Angeles, <a href="http://lanternproject.org.uk/library/general/articles-and-information-about-sexual-abuse-and-its-impact/homosexuality-and-child-sexual-abuse/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a>:
<blockquote>“if we reject the boylovers in our midst today we’d better stop waving the banner of the Ancient Greeks, of Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Oscar Wilde, Walt Whitman, Horatio Alger, and Shakespeare. We’d better stop claiming them as part of our heritage unless we are broadening our concept of what it means to be gay today.” </blockquote>
Kepner also <a href="https://www.nambla.org/kepner1.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>: 
<blockquote>“Many of the men who picked me up so lovingly, would today be stigmatized as pedophiles. They were all kind and respectful and were very important to me. I&#8217;ve seen that same considered manner in most pedophiles I&#8217;ve known, though I don&#8217;t share their love for children. &#8230; Most, not all, men I&#8217;ve known who were as boys befriended by boy-lovers were grateful to them.”</blockquote>
This is hardly a secret.
As proudly <a href="https://www.nambla.org/history.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> by the notorious NAMBLA website (NAMBLA stands for the North American Man Boy Love Association):
<blockquote>“From famous couples such as Oscar Wilde and Lord Alfred Douglas, to cultural institutions such as that of ancient Greek pederasty, to cultural concepts such as China’s ‘passion of the cut sleeve’, to iconic figures such as Francis Bacon or Walt Whitman. From the earliest known homoerotic couple, Smenkhkare and Akhenaten, to medieval Andelusian troubadors, to 20th century figures such as Allen Ginsburg [sic] and Arthur C. Clark, man/boy love spans every dimension of history, both Western and non-Western.”</blockquote>
It is little wonder, then, that pioneer gay activists like <a href="https://www.nambla.org/hay2002.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Harry Hay</a> and <a href="https://www.nambla.org/ginsberg.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Allen Ginsberg</a>, were open advocates of “man-boy love.”
And it is little wonder that one of the demands of the <a href="https://afaofpa.org/archives/1972-gay-rights-platform/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">1972 Gay Rights Platform</a>, formulated in Chicago, Illinois, was: 
<blockquote>“Repeal of all laws governing the age of sexual consent.”</blockquote>
I know this is repulsive to read. I can assure you that it is repulsive to write. (I’m sure it’s repulsive to most gay men as well.) But there is no denying that this has been a major part of homosexual history through the centuries.
That’s also why prominent psychiatrists like the late <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/apr/15/richard-green-obituary" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Richard Green</a>, who advocated for the removal of homosexuality from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (the authoritative work in psychiatry) in the 1970s also advocated for the removal of pedophilia from the DSM. (See Green’s article in the Archives of Sexual Behavior 31 [2002].)
As <a href="https://www.helping-people.info/articles/sandf_constr_quest.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">expressed</a> by the famous Dutch psychiatrist and Columbia University professor <a href="https://www.publichealth.columbia.edu/people/our-faculty/tgs2001" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Theo Sandfort</a>:
<blockquote>&#8220;If paedophiles are no longer forced to live underground and to be secretive about their relationships, but instead their desires are recognized as legitimate, and they are guided towards a responsible expression of their desires, we might prevent some cases of genuine sexual abuse.”</blockquote>
I discovered writings like this, which can be quoted at length (and ad nauseam) when doing research for my 2011 book A Queer Thing Happened to America. Talk about a dark, ugly subject. But it is a subject we cannot ignore.
Back then, the term I found most commonly used to describe these attractions (and to destigmatize them) was “<a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2086635/#:~:text=Intergenerational%20intimacy%2C%20social%20as%20well%20as%20sexual%2C%20has,been%20to%20label%20such%20behavior%20%22child%20sexual%20abuse.%22" target="_blank" rel="noopener">intergenerational intimacy</a>.” It sounds so innocent.
More recently, the term “<a href="https://www.christianpost.com/voices/from-intergenerational-intimacy-to-minor-attracted-persons.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">minor attracted people</a>” has been suggested.
Anything but calling it for what it is.
Now we are witnesses to an epidemic of <a href="https://archive.askdrbrown.org/library/here-come-drag-queens" target="_blank" rel="noopener">drag queens</a> reading to toddlers in libraries, with the <a href="https://www.ala.org/advocacy/libraries-respond-drag-queen-story-hour" target="_blank" rel="noopener">enthusiastic support</a> of the American Library Association, along with overt sexual acts being committed in other drag queen settings.
So, I ask once again: we will let this happen on our watch?

According to an <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/09/28/jeffrey-dahmer-prosecutor-denies-racial-homophobic-bias-police/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">article</a> posted by entertainment website TMZ early on Wednesday, former Milwaukee County District Attorney Michael McCann fired back after Netflix&#8217;s series appeared to suggest that racism and homophobia may have led police officers to slow-walk parts of the investigation into the notorious <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/somebodys-after-me-police-release-911-calls-related-to-cold-case-that-led-to-serial-killer-discovery/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">serial killer</a>.
McCann reportedly told the outlet that &#8220;the notion that MPD officers turned a blind eye to Dahmer&#8217;s victims because of their race or sexual orientation is ludicrous, despite what &#8216;Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story&#8217; portrays.&#8221;
The former district attorney said that he had not yet watched the Netflix offering — but that he had heard enough about it to know that the producers had adopted an anti-police approach and were framing officers as being racist and homophobic.
McCann insisted that Dahmer&#8217;s modus operandi (MO) relied on protecting his privacy and leaving very few — if any — traces that could have led police to him at an earlier date. He went on to reiterate that &#8220;neither race nor sexual orientation had influenced how police investigated Dahmer.&#8221;
The Netflix show has also received a fair amount of criticism from others as well. The family of one of <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/its-cruel-victims-family-member-not-happy-about-new-monster-the-jeffrey-dahmer-story-documentary/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dahmer&#8217;s victims</a> called it &#8220;cruel&#8221; and &#8220;retraumatizing,&#8221; asking why there even needed to be another retelling of Dahmer&#8217;s story.
&#8220;I’m not telling anyone what to watch, I know true crime media is huge rn, but if you’re actually curious about the victims, my family (the Isbell’s) are pissed about this show. It’s retraumatizing over and over again, and for what? How many movies/shows/documentaries do we need?&#8221; Eric Perry tweeted, adding, &#8220;Like recreating my cousin having an emotional breakdown in court in the face of the man who tortured and murdered her brother is WILD. WIIIIIILD.&#8221;

Despite the fact that Dahmer was gay and the series&#8217; effort to portray police as homophobic, <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/not-the-representation-were-looking-for-netflix-removes-lgbtq-tag-from-jeffrey-dahmer-drama-series/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more complaints</a> came from social media and members of the LGBTQ community — many of whom argued, &#8220;This is not the representation we&#8217;re looking for.&#8221; The backlash led Netflix to remove the &#8220;LGBTQ&#8221; tag from the streaming platform, classifying the show as &#8220;Crime TV Shows&#8221; and &#8220;Social Issue Drama&#8221; instead.
