Parents, educators and community leaders recently attended a Fairfax County School Board meeting in Virginia to ask questions about an <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/virginia-school-system-investigating-claims-staff-arranged-students-abortions-without-parental-consent">alleged coerced abortion case</a> involving two Hispanic minors at Centreville High School.
Centreville High School has a <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/virginia/districts/fairfax-county-public-schools/centreville-high-school-20462__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!z-3bjZRUUFzVpcjUUXeCnOmT5iO0fbyCiy8sK0gxSSxuJkQ3-e2SK8nKwzsT-qgLY1fjiIEr7WbqqhMTXRP5j4yv$">minority enrollment</a> of 69%, and 32% of its students are economically disadvantaged. For pregnancy matters, the school’s policy states that students are encouraged to discuss their concerns with their parents.
The whistleblower at the school, Zenaida Perez, is an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher and is originally from Cuba. She immigrated to the United States in 1990 and holds a master’s degree in ESL.
Perez claims that, beginning in 2022, she discovered a social worker was arranging and paying for minor girls to obtain abortions without parental knowledge or consent, which is required in the state of Virginia.
She reportedly brought her concerns to school administrators seven times. But instead of district officials addressing these allegations, Perez says she experienced bullying from administrators and attempts from the school to <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.fairfaxtimes.com/articles/governor-orders-criminal-probe-into-alleged-abortions-at-centreville-high-school/article_a1c3bc41-9b17-4ac1-8187-70eaa7de4ca3.html__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!z-3bjZRUUFzVpcjUUXeCnOmT5iO0fbyCiy8sK0gxSSxuJkQ3-e2SK8nKwzsT-qgLY1fjiIEr7WbqqhMTXUI6JXVn$">undermine her integrity</a> by falsely accusing her of handing out pregnancy tests to students.
The allegations are deeply troubling given both of the girls involved were underage. Perez says that one student, who was five months pregnant and wanting to keep her baby, said she felt like she “had no choice.” The other girl told Perez she was terrified because her legal guardians did not know about her abortion.
Worried parents in attendance at the school board meeting questioned whether these were isolated incidents or part of a broader pattern of overriding parental rights and disregarding state law.
Most Americans <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.politico.com/news/2023/05/16/democrats-gop-parental-notification-abortion-laws-00097245__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!z-3bjZRUUFzVpcjUUXeCnOmT5iO0fbyCiy8sK0gxSSxuJkQ3-e2SK8nKwzsT-qgLY1fjiIEr7WbqqhMTXYCxdjTu$">support</a> parental consent for abortion as they recognize that life-and-death decisions should not be made without parental guidance. In Troxel v. Granville, the United States Supreme Court affirmed the fundamental rights of “parents in the care, custody, and control of their children,” and 36 states require parental involvement in abortion-related decisions for minors.
Despite the guarantee of parental rights, Virginia is attempting to strip them from the abortion equation by passing <a href="https://lis.virginia.gov/bill-details/20251/HJ1">House Joint Resolution 1</a>, a constitutional amendment that enshrines intentionally broad &#8220;reproductive freedom&#8221; as a right in the state constitution.
The Centreville High School case also underscores over a half-century of abuse by so-called &#8220;reproductive health care&#8221; advocates targeting minority communities for abortion.
Sadly, abortion peddlers know impoverished minority girls are abortion-vulnerable due to the broader inequalities they face, like racial prejudice, economic disparities, and access to authentic health care. They are also unlikely to resist coercion, especially when it comes from authority figures like school officials.
Their struggles are not just statistics to me, because I lived them. I grew up in the middle of the same kind of hardship after my mother’s <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://aul.org/author/sarah-zagorskiaul-org/__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!z-3bjZRUUFzVpcjUUXeCnOmT5iO0fbyCiy8sK0gxSSxuJkQ3-e2SK8nKwzsT-qgLY1fjiIEr7WbqqhMTXYscX0kk$">attempted abortion</a> with me. She had come to the U.S. from Honduras, already struggling to raise seven children she couldn’t provide for, trapped in an abusive home. She too believed she had no other choice.
She did defy coercion from her abortion physician in the end, but this kind of resistance is rare. Victims are often threatened, manipulated, and face real barriers like lack of money, absence of support, or fear for their safety.
I am thankful that the Governor Glenn Youngkin has directed the state police to open a criminal investigation into the case. Parental rights should not be usurped, and school employees have no right to hide secret abortions from parents.
Children need protection and parental guidance, especially when faced with an unplanned pregnancy, not forced secrecy by adults attempting to usurp fundamental rights of parents to make decisions regarding the wellbeing of their children.
Girls from marginalized communities, including Hispanic girls from Centreville High School, deserve better than betrayal from people they should trust and cover-ups by school bureaucrats.

A new <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2025/06/26/voting-patterns-in-the-2024-election/">Pew Research</a> poll indicates that President Trump gained ground with several unexpected groups in his historic comeback 2024 presidential victory.
Among Hispanic voters &#8212; who preferred former President Biden in 2020 over Trump by a whopping 25 percentage points, and preferred Hillary Clinton to Trump by an even wider margin in 2016 &#8212; Trump only trailed former Vice President Kamala Harris by three percentage points, going from 36% of Hispanic voters in 2020 to 48% in 2024.
Among black voters, Trump showed a significant increase, doubling his support from 8% in 2020 to 15% in 2024.
Trump drove turnout among both blacks and Hispanics in 2024. “Increased shares of Black voters who favored Trump were driven not by individuals shifting their preferences, but by changes in who turned out to vote,” Pew reported, adding, “9% of eligible Hispanic voters voted in 2020 but not in 2024, and these voters favored Biden in 2020 by roughly two-to-one (69% to 31%). By contrast, among Hispanic eligible voters who voted in 2024 but not in 2020, 60% voted for Trump in 2024 and 37% voted for Harris.”
In another significant change, voters ages 18 to 49 only preferred Harris by 7 percentage points in 2024; they had preferred Biden by 17 points in 2020.

Trump showed strong gains with religious voters; Protestant support grew from a 19-point lead in 2020 to 26 points in 2024; Catholic support went from Biden and Trump splitting them evenly in 2020 to Trump posting a huge 12-point lead in 2024. Jewish support went up at least 4% from 2020 to 2024, <a href="https://www.rjchq.org/rjc_delivered_in_2024">according</a> to Associated Press/Fox, the highest percentage since George H.W. Bush in 1988.
Among naturalized citizens, in 2020, Biden led Trump 59%-38% in 2020, but in 2024, Trump got 57% of that vote.

​​What is the real reason we are seeing chaos in the streets of Los Angeles?
One protester explained why exactly this is happening. If you want to know what drives the mindset of the rioters, then you really should take the time to listen to the people who are rioting, who are attempting to attack police officers and ICE agents.
This protester was, of course, masked and wearing sunglasses. He <a href="https://x.com/Andreafreedom76/status/1931946681026617718">bloviated</a>, “Everybody has the same enemy. From L.A. to Africa to Palestine to Vietnam. We all have the same enemy. There’s one enemy. And it is not me, and it is not you, and it is not them. We are not the enemies of each other.”
He pointed to the police, declaring, “They are the enemy. There’s only one enemy. And we all have to work together in unison to fight this one enemy.”
Another protester interjected, “That’s right. Capitalism, imperialism, and Zionism.”
“The faster we grow, the more we grow as a people, the quicker we can get to this revolution and overturn this motherf***er and have real people leading this country,” the first protester continued.
They hate all the “isms,” like the free market that brought them all of their prosperity so they can waste their time in the middle of a day in Los Angeles, yelling at the police and “imperialism,” which is presumably the reason they are standing on the soil of America because most American people were not originally native to America. He says “Zionism,” the belief that there ought to be a Jewish state in Israel. What the hell does that have to do with illegal immigration riots in Los Angeles?
The answer is that for him and his ilk, they are all the same enemy: the “system.” Blame the “system” for all your problems and rip down the system.

Another protester, apparently an illegal immigrant from Mexico, <a href="https://x.com/MediaWillieNel/status/1932140100147953936">stated</a>, “We do not agree with the term ‘illegal.’ We&#8217;re undocumented. We&#8217;ve been here for thousands of years before you guys showed up, screwed up everything. We think we should organize together with the U.S working class and fight together and create a better system. We&#8217;re anti-capitalist. We think socialism does work. Real socialism. Not Venezuela, not Cuba, not any of that crap that they are trying to sell us as socialism. And when we leave, it will be a more humane system that will take care of most of all people&#8217;s necessities.”
This protester was asked for an example of what that system would look like. He said the first 40 years of the Soviet Union, which also just so happened to be the most brutal time of the Soviet Union under Lenin and Stalin.
All of this is the Omnicause, the scavenger Omnicause, as I write about in my book, “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Lions-Scavengers-Story-America-Critics/dp/1668097885/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3JFQDATERYUFS&amp;dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.kWrnVJa8bLjS-TYe_ZIR30AgkoDhfNVNvb347yALOi0.jsy8hx2qMpBM1LRx7pK99DD2xEbNzeRKh1T2HbSrgPM&amp;dib_tag=se&amp;keywords=lions+and+scavengers+ben+shapiro&amp;qid=1749580682&amp;sprefix=lions+and+scavengers%2Caps%2C82&amp;sr=8-1">Lions and Scavengers.</a>” It is about people who seek to tear down the institutions and systems that benefit them, the systems that have created whatever prosperity they enjoy as life&#8217;s losers.
I call them “life’s losers” because the people who are out there protesting right now, the ones rioting or waving Mexican flags as they drive a motorcycle around a burning Waymo, are not life&#8217;s winners. These are not people destined for a long life of success and happiness. These are deeply unhappy human beings. 
Some of them are professional agitators. And many of the groups that are sponsoring these protests — that are now turning into riots or burning cars or some violence against police and ICE agents — are unions, according to The Wall Street Journal, which <a href="https://www.wsj.com/us-news/trump-immigration-labor-unions-cf6aa4ac?gaa_at=eafs&amp;gaa_n=ASWzDAi4PPZGna4vypAPuUHb4OVuRqU4u0-dGEWqOSWFRpJovEJNY8KNdfW7dHpVCUE%3D&amp;gaa_ts=68486e23&amp;gaa_sig=vZ3SrmbPoBPxfWfQBoc5ltKPThF2Dx0o5vQ4crXfIJoqi-lOYW-7bgLb7YofCRYMNyigWwU-USw6r2eGjGla9w%3D%3D">wrote</a>: 
<blockquote>Unions, which have felt conflicted lately over how to deal with Trump, found an issue this past weekend over which to confront him: immigration. It came after the head of the state’s biggest union was arrested here for allegedly obstructing federal agents from conducting an immigration raid. The union says he was “peacefully observing.” David Huerta, president of Service Employees International Union California, appeared in court Monday afternoon. He was released on $50,000 bail. 
Just a half mile away, his union, which represents a swath of working-class California, including nurses, janitors and security guards, organized a sprawling protest in downtown’s Grand Park. Other unions declared solidarity with the SEIU and with immigrants caught up in federal raids. </blockquote>
Think about this on a logical level. Why would unions be in favor of illegal immigration? Illegal immigration undercuts the labor base. Illegal immigrants, because they are not legal, are very often paid less than market wages or certainly less than union-negotiated wages.
Why are unions standing up for illegal immigration? It doesn&#8217;t make any sense. They&#8217;re doing so at the expense of their own membership.
What is the driving factor behind all of this? The Journal continues:
<blockquote>Immigrants made up one-third of California’s labor force in 2023, according to census data, compared with 18% for the overall U.S. (The data doesn’t distinguish by legal status.) Some of unions’ biggest organizing wins recently have been in service workplaces where undocumented immigrants often make up an outsize share. “Whether you’re documented or not, you can be a member of a union, and those we represent, we vow to protect,” said Steve Smith, a spokesman for the AFL-CIO.</blockquote>
What&#8217;s actually happening is that illegal immigrants are joining unions. Private sector union membership has been on the decline for decades in the United States because wages have not, in fact, stagnated; wages have risen on a real-world purchasing power parity basis.
So what exactly are the unions going to do?
What the unions have been doing is going into workplaces where people are being paid below the union wage and organizing illegal immigrants. That is the reason why they are now seemingly in favor of widespread illegal immigration in the United States.
The National Education Association president, Rebecca Pringle, who gets paid $500,000 a year, was mobilizing the protesters, <a href="https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/1932151905565962435">shouting</a>, “We, the people, we, the people, we the people, all of us, all of us have that right to life, liberty and the pursuit of justice.”
Why is the head of the National Education Association standing for illegal immigration? Are illegal immigrants allowed to teach our children in public schools? The last time I checked, the answer was no. Why is she out there screaming about this?
The answer again is that it’s to rig the system on behalf of people who could not succeed in a free marketplace or a free marketplace of ideas.
Shouting about democracy in favor of people who literally cannot vote in the democracy because they&#8217;re not here legally is crazy, but that is the coalition of forces that have aligned behind mass illegal immigration in the United States.
And the Left can&#8217;t let go of it, because the same coalition is driving the Left’s efforts forward.
For the Democrats, this is all about the conflict. When they say that it&#8217;s authoritarian for President Trump to activate the National Guard in order to quell violence in the streets, they&#8217;re actually saying it&#8217;s authoritarian for Trump to simply enforce the law.
But it is their belief that is truly authoritarian.

Just over a week into Donald Trump&#8217;s second term in office, it has to be said that Kamala Harris&#8217; talking points from the presidential campaign aren&#8217;t exactly aging well. You might remember that one of Kamala’s taglines during the campaign was, &#8220;Donald Trump has an enemies list; I have a to-do list.&#8221; The line was supposed to conjure up a contrast in voters&#8217; minds — a contrast between a president who gets rid of his enemies, and a president who actually gets things done. But it turns out, Kamala&#8217;s campaign misunderstood that those two things are not mutually exclusive. A president can indeed punish the enemies of civilization, and also get a lot of other stuff done at the same time. And that&#8217;s exactly what Trump has accomplished so far, by all accounts.
To be clear, I&#8217;m not bringing this up to trash Kamala Harris, who isn&#8217;t worth thinking about anymore, much less attacking. But as dumb as her campaign slogan was, it&#8217;s clear that many Democrats thought it made sense. And now that Trump is actually in office, they have no idea what to make of it. They can&#8217;t comprehend the fact that Trump is destroying America&#8217;s enemies while advancing American interests, and that voters are responding very favorably to his new administration as a result.
Here for example was the scene the other day on CNN, when the anchor realizes — to her shock and horror — that Trump is now far more popular than he ever was during his first term. Watch:

Once again, there’s the screen guy circling and underlining things for no reason. You don’t need to underline the words on the screen. They’re already typed in giant bold letters. We can see them. Anyway, more to the point, the audible gasp from the CNN anchor is a clue that no one at CNN has any idea how this is happening. How can Trump possibly have a higher approval rating after all of his felony convictions, all of the attacks, and the most well funded and consistently sustained smear campaign against a single individual person in the history of American politics? How is that possible?
It begins to make sense when you realize that the agenda Trump is aggressively pushing through in his first two weeks in office is not — or need not be — partisan or ideological. His executive orders and other actions aren’t necessarily &#8220;conservative&#8221; at all, much less &#8220;Right-wing.&#8221; Instead, Trump is advancing something called &#8220;common sense.&#8221; Common sense has become Right-wing by default. But it’s still common sense. And it happens to appeal to a lot of Americans, regardless of whether they describe themselves as liberal or conservative. Most Americans agree, for example, that people with serious mental illnesses should not serve in the armed forces. That&#8217;s an intuitive concept that doesn&#8217;t need any explanation. Until around 10 years ago, even Democrats wouldn&#8217;t object to that. So when Trump and Pete Hegseth announce that trans-identifying individuals would be <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/01/27/us-news/trump-to-ink-new-executive-orders-today-banning-trans-service-members-military-dei-programs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">banned</a> from serving or enlisting in the military, as they did the other day, it makes a lot of sense to most people. As the White House put it, “Unit cohesion requires high levels of integrity and stability among service members.&#8221; And because trans-identifying people don&#8217;t meet those requirements, they can&#8217;t serve. Period, end of discussion.

In just the past few days, the Trump administration has announced a variety of straightforward executive orders like this, and every single one of them comes across as a reasonable solution that normal people would support. Trump is also getting rid of DEI in the military, for example, on the theory that America&#8217;s military shouldn&#8217;t be concerned with quotas or diversity hiring. They should focus, instead, on only one goal: fighting America&#8217;s enemies as effectively as they possibly can. Kill the bad guys. That’s your whole job in the military. Again, this is basic stuff. Until fifteen seconds ago, it wouldn&#8217;t even be controversial. Again, this is all just common sense. One by one, that&#8217;s what these orders amount to.
There&#8217;s also Trump&#8217;s planned order creating an &#8220;Iron Dome&#8221;-style missile defense system to protect the United States. We&#8217;ve been funding Israel&#8217;s Iron Dome for many years now, but we don&#8217;t have a comparable system here — even though, as recent events make clear, American cities apparently face a variety of imminent short-range threats. We just had a swarm of drones appear off the East Coast out of nowhere, and a member of Congress suggested that Iranian ships might be launching them. So why shouldn&#8217;t America&#8217;s major cities have some kind of protection against threats like this? Again, it&#8217;s a simple question. And now the second Trump administration is answering it.
Along the same lines, Americans have made it abundantly clear that they don&#8217;t want millions of illegal aliens in this country — no matter how much the corporate press pretends that they &#8220;enrich&#8221; our communities. No serious person thought the status quo was acceptable, especially as the bodies of innocent men, women and children began piling up. And so now, as a result, the status quo is changing.
The other day, Fox <a href="https://x.com/greg_price11/status/1884076445800247469" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the Del Rio sector of the border has gone from 4,000 illegal crossings per day back in 2023, to just 60 illegal crossings yesterday. These are actual results. And they&#8217;re taking place very quickly.
For self-appointed members of the &#8220;elite&#8221; — particularly in Hollywood — this has been a very difficult series of events to grasp and internalize. They can&#8217;t muster any kind of rational argument against what the Trump administration is doing. They&#8217;re stunned by how effective he&#8217;s been. And they know there&#8217;s no logic behind DEI, or open borders, or letting criminals off the hook with no consequences whatsoever. So instead of presenting any kind of cogent argument, they&#8217;re melting down.
And there&#8217;s maybe no greater example of this phenomenon than the performance that actress and singer Selena Gomez just put on. She uploaded this video to her Instagram story with a caption of &#8220;I’m sorry,&#8221; accompanied by a Mexican flag emoji. Watch:

First of all, before we even get into what she&#8217;s saying, this is obviously an absurd example of emotional manipulation. Anyone who records a video of herself crying and posts it to the internet should be disregarded and ignored automatically. It&#8217;s one thing to cry in public (which is a crime that is slightly less offensive when committed by women, though still highly annoying). It&#8217;s another thing to film the spectacle yourself. But there&#8217;s a more revealing moment that&#8217;s actually worth talking about.
You&#8217;ll notice that in Selena Gomez’s theatrical crying video, she refers to “my people.&#8221; She&#8217;s complaining about the Trump administration deporting her &#8220;people.&#8221; Now if we take &#8220;my people&#8221; in the most literal sense, it would seem to indicate that Selena Gomez is herself a criminal alien — considering that only criminal aliens are being deported. And in that case, obviously, Selena should be immediately placed on one of those C-17 cargo planes and sent back to her homeland. She&#8217;s confessed to her crimes, after all. Trump should deport her based on her word alone. Better safe than sorry. Let her go be with “her people.” And then, of course, we should convert Selena&#8217;s many multi-million-dollar mansions into emergency shelters to house all of these illegal migrants that she&#8217;s weeping over. That would be the humane thing to do.
But if we take the statement as she likely intended it — that her &#8220;people&#8221; are Hispanic migrants in general — then it proves something else, which is that, despite being born in this country, Selena Gomez doesn&#8217;t see herself as American. &#8220;Her people&#8221; are people from another country. It&#8217;s difficult to even imagine someone like Selena ever using the phrase &#8220;my people&#8221; to refer to Americans. That would never happen. It would be nativist and xenophobic. Americans are never supposed to identify with each other in that way. So instead, a half-Mexican, half-Italian billionaire celebrity from Texas identifies with Mexican illegals, many of whom don&#8217;t even speak our language. It goes to show how rampant immigration — both illegal and legal — tears at the fabric of our culture and undermines our national identity. That&#8217;s not the point Selena Gomez was trying to prove. But it&#8217;s the point she did prove.

Here’s the thing, Selena: if you are American, then your people are Americans. The fact that you do not see it that way — do not identify with or feel any loyalty to the country that gave you everything and made you who you are — just goes to show why Trump’s border policies are necessary. Selena, you never made a video hysterically crying when, for example, North Carolina was ravaged by a hurricane and its citizens were left to drown. You never wept over the suffering of “your people,” who’d been abandoned by Joe Biden’s government and left to die. That’s because you don’t see white people in North Carolina as your people. And that is the problem.
So, immigration enforcement is not just about keeping crime and drugs out of our neighborhoods — though that is a big part of it. At a deeper level, it’s about reclaiming a sense of identity and fraternity as a nation. It’s about becoming a people again. Not just people who happen to all live in the same geographic area. But a people. A nation. Anyone who doesn’t want that — anyone who would prefer that we have no identity as a nation — is invited and urged to leave. We don’t need you here. And we don&#8217;t want you.
And a lot of people who are supposedly in Gomez&#8217;s target audience — namely Hispanics — seem to understand this, by the way. The Venezuelan YouTuber named &#8220;Dross,&#8221; for example, <a href="https://x.com/kangminjlee/status/1884005549236482272" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responded</a> to Gomez&#8217;s video by writing: &#8220;Shut up, stupid.&#8221; The backlash was pretty much universal, which is why Selena Gomez quickly deleted the post. Then she wrote a passive aggressive follow-up message that read, “Apparently it’s not OK to show empathy for people.&#8221; And then she deleted that message, too. So she clearly didn&#8217;t have a lot of conviction in what she was saying. The moment her fans let her know they thought she was acting like an imbecile, she took the posts down.
It&#8217;s yet another indication that the whole emotional blackmail routine isn&#8217;t working like it used to. The fact that Gomez was greeted with near universal mockery is a clear sign that things are changing. A few years ago, a sobbing actress would&#8217;ve probably convinced a lot of people that, say, children were being held in &#8220;cages&#8221; at the Southern border or whatever. But it doesn&#8217;t work anymore. We&#8217;ve all been lied to, and manipulated, far too much. And as a result, we now have a government that isn&#8217;t cowed by these kinds of tactics, either.
Yesterday when border czar Tom Homan was asked about Gomez&#8217;s video, he pretty much said he doesn&#8217;t care. Watch:

When entire neighborhoods in North Carolina were destroyed by a hurricane late last year, like we just discussed, the DHS secretary at the time made it very clear that he didn&#8217;t care about any of the victims. He went shopping for clothes in Georgetown, while FEMA — the agency he was supposedly overseeing — denied disaster relief to homes with Trump signs on the lawn. That is the kind of apathy that we&#8217;re all familiar with, when it comes to our federal government.
What the second Trump administration is bringing to the table is a very different kind of apathy. They&#8217;re apathetic to the lazy, emotional blackmail and propaganda that constantly emanates from our so-called &#8220;elites,&#8221; whether they&#8217;re in Hollywood or the media. For the first time in modern history, we have an administration that simply does not care how much liberals are willing to fake-cry on camera. To borrow from Kamala Harris&#8217; campaign slogan, those people are now on the &#8220;enemies list.&#8221; Their opinion doesn&#8217;t matter. Their crying is irrelevant.
What matters now is restoring sanity to this country, and to our government. And the more billionaire actresses like Selena Gomez lose their minds, the more the rest of us can be sure that, after many very dark years, sanity is indeed making a comeback.

Democrats are continuing to lose ground among Hispanic voters, which could end up hurting Vice President Kamala Harris in November.
The Cook Political Report’s <a href="https://www.cookpolitical.com/survey-research/cpr-national-polling-average/2024/harris-trump-overall" target="_blank" rel="noopener">database</a> of crosstabs from polls shows that Harris currently leads Trump among Hispanic voters by an average of 12 points – a significant drop from President Joe Biden’s 23-point lead among Hispanics in 2020. Biden’s lead was also a drop from Hillary Clinton’s 39-point lead in 2016.
Ruy Teixeira, a political scientist and commentator, wrote in his Liberal Patriot <a href="https://www.liberalpatriot.com/p/the-democrats-hispanic-voter-problem-373" target="_blank" rel="noopener">newsletter</a> this week that Democrats underestimate the “seriousness” of the problem for three reasons.
“(1) they don’t realize how big the shift is; (2) they don’t realize how thoroughly it undermines the most influential Democratic theory of the case for building their coalition; and (3) they believe that any Hispanic flirtation with the GOP is merely temporary—they will “come back home” to the Democrats,” he wrote.
Teixeira also noted that the U.S. Census shows that Hispanics are the largest nonwhite population in the nation – and growing. Hispanics <a href="https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/US/PST045223">currently</a> account for roughly 19% of the U.S. population, with African Americans making up about 14%.
Harris is likely to still win Hispanics overall, just as Biden did in 2020, but Republicans’ continued gains among this voting bloc mean Democrats will have to make up the votes elsewhere, which may explain why so many Harris ads are focused on abortion.
Even though Biden won Hispanics in 2020, then-President Donald Trump improved his vote share in 78 of America’s 100 majority-Hispanic counties, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/donald-trump-improved-standing-with-latinos-in-78-of-americas-100-majority-hispanic-counties" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> at the time. In writing about the phenomenon, POLITICO’s Marc Caputo noted that Trump also did better with Hispanics “in exit polls of each of the top 10 battleground states.”
“Joe Biden still won Latino voters overall. But as post-election data trickles in, Democrats are growing concerned. Trump’s notable gains weren’t limited to Miami’s <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2020/11/04/biden-miami-cubans-election-2020-433999" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cuban Americans</a> or border-region <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/11/17/trump-latinos-south-texas-tejanos-437027" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tejanos</a>. Although <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2020/11/06/why-biden-lost-the-latino-vote-florida-texas-434735" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Florida and Texas</a> stood out for the notable shift, Puerto Ricans as far away as Philadelphia and Mexican Americans in Milwaukee drifted Trump-ward,” Caputo wrote.

The trend has continued nearly four years into the Biden administration, with Hispanic support in New Mexico dropping due to their disapproval of the president, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-faces-dire-disapproval-ratings-among-hispanics-in-state-he-won-big-in-2020-poll" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> earlier this year. Polls in April also showed Biden’s support for Hispanics <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-poll-shows-latinos-sour-on-biden-could-cost-him-arizona-nevada" target="_blank" rel="noopener">eroding</a>, leading to speculation Democrats could lose Nevada and Arizona – two critical swing states.
So, why are Hispanics leaving the Democrat party? This was explained following the 2020 election by Josh Zaragoza, a top Democratic data specialist in Arizona, who told POLITICO, “Most Latinos identify first as working-class Americans, and Trump spoke to that.” He also said that Hispanic men “are very entrepreneurial. Their economic language is more aligned with the way Republicans speak: pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, owning your own business.”
Further, Democrats’ embrace of socialism can turn off Hispanic voters, who often escaped socialist dictatorships.
After the 2020 election, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) said during a Democrat conference call that “Defund police, open borders, socialism — it’s killing us,” <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/15/us/politics/2020-election-recap-democrats-republicans.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to The New York Times</a>. Gonzalez added during that call that the “average white person” may think of Nordic countries when they hear the word “socialism,” but Asians and Hispanics associate the word with despotic “left-wing regimes.”
It appears Democrats have not learned from that call.

When I fled civil unrest and violence in Mexico City for the United States as a young girl, I had no idea that I would eventually become sucked into another violent regime: the U.S. abortion industry.
Unfortunately, the 17 years I spent working as an employee of Planned Parenthood opened my eyes to unspeakable horrors inflicted on babies and moms that Democrat politicians like Kamala Harris facilitate. Today, as Vice President Kamala Harris seeks to win the White House, I hope my story serves as a warning that Harris’ laundry list of incompetency and injustice against immigrants and women make her unfit to lead our nation.
Planned Parenthood hired me back in 2000, I believe in large part because I was undocumented, which made me a useful envoy to the immigrant community. Over the next 17 years, the organization groomed me into one of their leading employees. Yet as I was showered with bonuses, titles and even Planned Parenthood’s 2016 “Employee of the Year,” I began uncovering the truth about the coercion and exploitation the organization relied upon as part of its business model. I saw that, contrary to their claim that abortion was <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/fact-sheet-planned-parenthoods-2021-22-annual-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">only a minuscule part</a> of their services, the abortion clinic I worked in raked in about $20,000 per day compared to their non-abortive clinic which made barely a few hundred.
Among the many problems I saw go unreported, one doctor in particular had countless <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/arizona/2019/08/19/ex-planned-parenthood-employee-mayra-rodriguez-awarded-3-m-jury-wrongful-termination/2051782001/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">health and safety violations</a> that went unchecked.
Even worse, I heard reports of women and girls being <a href="https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2024/jul/25/women-pushed-into-abortions-offer-grim-accounts-of/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">coerced into unwanted abortions. </a> One horrific example that I learned of years later involved a young immigrant named Mayela. This poor young girl underwent <a href="https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2024/jul/25/women-pushed-into-abortions-offer-grim-accounts-of/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a late-term abortion in Arizona</a> without her knowledge or consent, after Planned Parenthood staff charged her $200 and asked her to sign paperwork she didn&#8217;t understand – all without a translator.
This, coupled with my growing realization of how the abortion and <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/online-mail-order-chemical-abortion-a-threat-to-abuse-and-trafficking-victims/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trafficking</a> industries thrive off one another, deeply shocked me. 
Yet, when I began to voice concerns over these problems, Planned Parenthood threatened, harassed, and ultimately fired me.
So, I made U.S. history as the first undocumented worker to <a href="https://rnha.org/interview-with-mayra-rodriguez/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">file a wrongful termination</a> lawsuit. A predominantly pro-choice jury unanimously awarded me <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/arizona/2019/08/19/ex-planned-parenthood-employee-mayra-rodriguez-awarded-3-m-jury-wrongful-termination/2051782001/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$3 million in damages </a>against Planned Parenthood. Sadly, the abortionist at the center of my lawsuit continues practicing at the expense of women and girls today.
You’d think that Kamala Harris, the first female Vice President and presidential hopeful, would be appalled to hear these damning revelations – especially since she has centered her campaign around women’s “rights” and “choice.”
But <a href="https://www.plannedparenthoodaction.org/pressroom/planned-parenthood-action-fund-endorses-kamala-harris-for-president" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood donates</a> heavily to Harris’ political campaigns, which explains why she consistently chooses the abortion industry over the women she claims to champion. In fact, during her time as Attorney General of California, Harris collaborated with Planned Parenthood and the DOJ to silence, discredit, and destroy another Planned Parenthood <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/08/07/exclusive-kamala-harris-sent-agents-raid-pro-life-journalists-home-met-planned-parenthood-emails-show/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">whistleblower.</a>
In light of this, it’s safe to say that Kamala Harris wouldn’t have even let me file my lawsuit if I’d tried to file in her state of California instead of Arizona. 
Harris’ close relationship with Planned Parenthood is a massive warning sign to all vulnerable and immigrant women – especially because immigrant and low-income women are disproportionately affected by human trafficking, crime and the exploitative abortion industry.
Harris’ refusal to acknowledge or address the border crisis has allowed historic numbers of immigrants to flood states like Arizona with deadly illegal drugs, crime, and human trafficking, the very conditions from which many migrants have fled. Moreover, her track record of disastrous policies put women at risk. In one egregious instance, an illegal immigrant released by one of Harris’ <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/victim-brutal-2008-illegal-migrant-attack-speaks-out-about-harris-record-prosecutor" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“crime prevention”</a> programs in California attacked a young woman and fractured her skull.
Instead of addressing these pressing issues, Harris has made promoting abortion the center of her campaign. She has devoted precious resources to attacking pregnancy resource centers that provide free resources, education and support to vulnerable (and often immigrant) women in need – merely because these organizations do not offer abortion. She also has backed radical and deceptive pro-abortion state ballot initiatives like the one being pushed here in Arizona. Similar amendments in states like <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/state-officials-are-right-sound-alarm-pro-abortion-ballot-measures-opinion-1867851" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Michigan</a> and Ohio have already been promising for the child trafficking industry, as they open the door for legislators to nullify parental consent requirements for minors to get abortions. I fear the same could happen here in Arizona if the Harris-backed Amendment passes.
Women deserve so much better than Harris’ hellscape of crime, trafficking, and coercive abortions at the hands of dangerous immigrants and an exploitative abortion industry.
As an immigrant woman who escaped Planned Parenthood’s clutches and became a legal citizen in this wonderful country, I hope my testimony serves as a warning to all women: We can’t afford to let Planned Parenthood’s bought and paid for henchwoman destroy the America we love.

President Joe Biden is bleeding Hispanic support in New Mexico, a state he won by 10 points in 2020 with the help of the key demographic group, according to a new poll shared with The Daily Wire.
New <a href="https://powerthefuture.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/FINAL-PTF-New-Mexico-Statewide-Survey.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">polling data</a> from Power the Future and Public Opinion Strategies shows that the president’s disapproval rating among Hispanics in New Mexico has skyrocketed since taking office. Of the Hispanics polled in the Power the Future survey, 63% disapprove of the job Biden has done — with 51% strongly disapproving — while 36% approve of his performance. 
Biden’s disapproval rating among Hispanics in the state is a complete flip from the 2020 election results, which saw Biden take 61% of the Hispanic vote compared to just 38% for Trump. The president’s overall approval rating in New Mexico isn’t much better, as 41% of voters approve of Biden compared to 57% who disapprove, which is nearly identical to the national average, according to the poll. 
“Politically, New Mexico may be a small state, but these results spell big trouble for Joe Biden,” Power the Future Communications Director Larry Behrens told The Daily Wire. “The biggest issues on the minds of voters are the economy and crime, so it’s clear Joe Biden’s failures are the driving force behind why his numbers are taking a dive.” 
The poll, which surveyed 500 registered likely votes in the state between January 5-8, showed that the top issues for New Mexicans are the economy (24%), crime (23%), and education (15%). Immigration (12%) came in behind the environment (13%). 
Nearly half of Hispanic voters polled rated the state’s economy as “poor,” while another 33% said the economy was “only fair.” Meanwhile, 73% of all registered voters polled by Power the Future said the economy was either “poor” or “only fair.” 
“Families in New Mexico are just like families across the rest of the country, they are paying higher prices for everything so it’s no surprise they’ve decided Joe Biden needs to pay a political price too,” said Behrens. 
In the last presidential election, Biden <a href="https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/results/state/new-mexico/president" target="_blank" rel="noopener">beat</a> Trump in New Mexico by nearly 100,000 votes, easily taking the state’s two largest cities, Albuquerque and Las Cruces. While Trump <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2021/06/30/behind-bidens-2020-victory/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">made gains</a> with Hispanics in 2020 compared to 2016, Biden pulled enough Hispanic support to help propel him to victory, but current trends suggest Biden is losing both Hispanic and black support heading into the 2024 election.

According to a USA Today/Suffolk <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/01/01/biden-trump-poll-odds-black-hispanic-young-voters/72072111007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poll</a> released earlier this month, Biden is trailing Trump 39% to 34% among Hispanic voters nationally, and only 63% of black voters back Biden compared to 87% of the black vote he received in the 2020 election.

Congresswoman-elect <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/meet-anna-paulina-luna-the-firebrand-conservative-who-wasnt-supposed-to-win" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anna Paulina Luna</a> (R-FL) responded to comparisons to far-left Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/alexandria-ocasio-cortez" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez</a> (D-NY) and discussed the GOP pivot to Hispanic outreach during an interview with The Daily Wire.
Luna, 33, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/11/08/us/elections/results-florida-us-house-district-13.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">flipped</a> a blue seat in the 13th district by a healthy eight-point margin on Tuesday, contributing to Florida&#8217;s red wave.
Referring to Luna by her initials, APL, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk told The Washington Post last week, “APL &#8212; possibly against AOC. That’ll be really fun.” We asked Luna about the comparison, noting the Republican&#8217;s youth and standing as a &#8220;new&#8221; type of conservative, seeming opposition to AOC and the far-leftism of &#8220;The Squad.&#8221;
&#8220;I do think that my ideas are better than theirs, and I also think I am way more qualified than they are,&#8221; Luna responded. &#8220;I think their message is one of hate and division, and mine is one of unity and common sense. I am their polar opposite.&#8221;
&#8220;But I also think Charlie&#8217;s right in the sense that I am a younger representative. I think I&#8217;m actually the youngest Republican female representative in the conference,&#8221; she added. Luna turned 33 years old in May, the same age as AOC, a self-professed Democratic socialist. &#8220;I think that I&#8217;m very relatable, which is important for younger generations.&#8221;
&#8220;I have a different background, too,&#8221; Luna said. The congresswoman-elect was raised by her mother, who is of Mexican descent; her father, who is Mexican and German, struggled with addiction and was out of the picture during her childhood.
Luna went on to say she &#8220;looks forward to having discussions&#8221; with members of &#8220;The Squad,&#8221; feeling &#8220;immune&#8221; to some of the typical attacks from Democrats.
&#8220;I think the things that they would typically revert back to, especially with identity politics, I don&#8217;t think that it works the same against me,&#8221; she told The Daily Wire. &#8220;So we&#8217;ll have to have real discussions. How are they gonna tell me that I&#8217;m anti-immigration or that I&#8217;m racist or that I haven&#8217;t served or that I don&#8217;t know what it&#8217;s like to experience all these things? I&#8217;ve literally grown up in the most abnormal circumstances. I am immune from it, I guess.&#8221;
The GOP saw huge Latino <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/09/politics/latino-voters-florida-midterms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gains</a> in the state of Florida. Luna said Hispanic voices within the GOP are &#8220;incredibly important,&#8221; especially now, as she sees Democrats shift focus from the black vote toward Hispanics. &#8220;We are the largest voting minority in the country,&#8221; she added.
&#8220;I think conservative media really needs to start talking to these people, because the fact is the Left is now pivoting from the issue of the black vote, and they&#8217;re now focusing solely on the Hispanic vote,&#8221; Luna said. &#8220;They&#8217;ve basically bought up all of our conservative media in Miami-Dade, they started to launch &#8216;fact-checking&#8217; operations against conservative Hispanic influencers online saying that they&#8217;re pushing disinformation.&#8221;
&#8220;Part of the reason why the Hispanic vote went so red is a majority of us are entrepreneurs, small business owners, &#8212; we have doctors, lawyers, congressmen,&#8221; Luna explained. &#8220;But when you have leadership in the DNC like Nancy Pelosi calling us &#8216;<a href="https://nypost.com/2022/09/30/nancy-pelosi-says-florida-needs-migrants-to-pick-crops/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">crop pickers</a>&#8216;; things like having <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-first-lady-compares-hispanic-people-to-tacos-at-latinx-incluxion-luncheon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jill Biden refer to us as &#8216;breakfast tacos,&#8217;</a> that doesn&#8217;t sit well with anyone. I mean, it&#8217;s just insulting.&#8221;
&#8220;A lot of people, especially those who&#8217;ve fled communism and socialism, saw what was happening with the Biden administration choosing to allow massive illegal immigration, but knowingly turning away people from Cuba that had general claims for political asylum, because they&#8217;re being prosecuted in their countries &#8212; I think that these are all factors as to why the vote went so red,&#8221; the Republican said.
Luna added that many Hispanics, including herself, are raised in the Catholic faith and do not support the abortion extremism of the Left, though Democrats are &#8220;pushing massive disinformation&#8221; on the issue.
&#8220;1,000 percent&#8221; the GOP should focus on Hispanic outreach, the congresswoman-elect asserted.

The 2022 midterm elections didn&#8217;t exactly go as expected for Republicans, but there was some good news in the data collected in exit polls.
While Democrats won 76% of the black men&#8217;s vote in 2018, that margin was cut to 65% in 2022, an 11% boost for the GOP. Republicans also picked up an additional 7% from black women, according to <a href="https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2022/politics/exit-polls-2022-midterm-2018-shift/">exit poll data</a> collected by CNN.
Democrats enjoyed a 29% edge among Latino men in 2018, but that was slashed to just 8% this time around. Latino women support also rose 14%.
Republicans also cut their margin of support from voters aged 18-29. In 2018, Democrats were +35% from that voting bloc, but that was cut to 28% in 2022. Support from 30-44 years old also went from +19 to +4.
The GOP made other inroads. Democrats enjoyed a +19 margin from women in 2018, but that fell to just +8 this year.
&#8220;When Democrats took control of the House after the 2018 election, a little more than half of voters were women and the party had a huge advantage among them. Even though women represented a similar majority of voters in 2022, Democrats’ lead appears to be cut noticeably,&#8221; CNN reported.
Republicans grew their support among men. In 2018, Republicans were +4 over Democrats. This time around, that number soared to +14.
There was another startling finding in the exit poll data. Democrats enjoyed a +33 margin among urban voters in the last midterms, but that fell to just 17% this midterm.
&#8220;Most American voters lived in the suburbs in both 2018 and 2022. But while suburban voters were evenly split when Democrats took control of the House four years ago, they moved toward Republicans in 2022,&#8221; CNN reported.
&#8220;An already-strong Republican lead among rural voters got even bigger and Republicans even ate into Democrats’ lead in urban areas,&#8221; according to the data. Rural support went from +14 to +29.
The GOP also picked up votes from moderates, cutting Democrats&#8217; 2018 margin of +26 to +15.
&#8220;Both Democrats and Republicans improved their performance among the party faithful. But Republicans built a lead among voters who don’t have a favorable view of either party. Democrats lost their edge among voters who have a favorable view of both parties,&#8221; according to the data.
But according to Tufts University, young voters had a real effect on some close races.
&#8220;In the Pennsylvania Senate race, where Democrat John Fetterman won by a slim 1% margin, youth ages 18-29 preferred Fetterman 70% to 28%, compared to 55% to 42% among voters ages 30-44, with voters over 45 preferring Republican candidate Dr. [Mehmet] Oz,&#8221; <a href="https://circle.tufts.edu/2022-election-center">according</a> to the college&#8217;s Center for Information &amp; Research on Civic Learning &amp; Engagement (CIRCLE).
&#8220;In the Georgia Senate race that may go to a runoff election, whereas of midnight on election night less than 1% separated the candidates, youth backed Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock 63% to 36%,&#8221; CIRCLE reported.
&#8220;Voters ages 30-44 backed Warnock 56% to 41%, while voters over 45 gave a majority of their votes to GOP challenger Herschel Walker. Notably, the youth share of the vote in Georgia was 13%, slightly higher than the national rate,&#8221; the center reported.

You gotta&#8217; wonder about pollsters.
For the last few months, nearly every pollster said the midterm elections were tight. Pick &#8217;em, they said. Could go either way, they said. Democrats hold the Senate, could keep House, too, they said.
Suddenly, all that has changed. Nationwide surveys now show a flood of voters to the Republican Party &#8212; blacks, Hispanics, and now, in a new poll, women.
&#8220;White suburban women, a key group of midterm voters, have significantly shifted their support from Democrats to Republicans in the closing days of midterm campaigning because of rising concerns over the economy and inflation, according to the latest Wall Street Journal poll,&#8221; the paper <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/white-suburban-women-swing-toward-backing-republicans-for-congress-11667381402">reported</a> on Wednesday.
The numbers are staggering. It&#8217;s not just a trickle of women, it&#8217;s a torrent.
&#8220;The new survey shows that white women living in suburban areas, who make up 20% of the electorate, now favor Republicans for Congress by 15 percentage points, moving 27 percentage points away from Democrats since the Journal’s August poll,&#8221; the paper wrote.
“We’re talking about a collapse, if you will, in that group on the perceptions of the economy,” Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio, who conducted the poll with Democratic pollster John Anzalone, told the Journal.
White suburban women are joining blacks and Hispanic voters, who are moving to the GOP amid skyrocketing gas and food prices and soaring crime rates across the country.
&#8220;The issue of inflation – and the feeling that the White House hasn&#8217;t done enough to address it – is helping Republicans score significant inroads among Hispanic and Black voters, both demographic groups that Democrats have long relied on for support,&#8221; USA Today <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/10/27/republicans-resurgent-economy-midterms/10596369002/">reported</a> last week.
&#8220;Now 40% of Hispanics and 21% of Blacks are backing the Republican candidate,&#8221; according to a USA Today/Suffolk University poll. Those numbers are huge &#8212; black support is up 15 points from 6% in the last midterms to 21%, and Hispanic support jumped 15 points to 40%.
The sudden movement among the voting blocs comes as blacks and Hispanics have grown increasingly frustrated with soaring crime in U.S. cities. After decades of failure by Democrats &#8212; who have long run the biggest American cities &#8212; perhaps it&#8217;s time to give the other guys a try.
But there are a few other driving forces in the movement. The predominantly Christian black and Hispanic blocs are not supportive of the gay and transgender issues being pushed by Democrats. And they&#8217;re not at all happy about the defund the police and no-bail practices spouted by liberals &#8212; mainly because in the cities, they&#8217;re the most affected by the policies.
Eight in 10 (81%) of black Democrats say violent crime is a &#8220;very important&#8221; issue in the 2022 election, <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2022/10/31/violent-crime-is-a-key-midterm-voting-issue-but-what-does-the-data-say/">according</a> to a recent Pew survey of registered voters. That compares to just 33% of white Democrats.
&#8220;Black Americans have consistently been more likely than other racial and ethnic groups to express concern about violent crime, and that remains the case this year,&#8221; the pollsters said.
Although the polls had the 2022 elections neck and neck for months, now white suburban women, blacks and Hispanics are bailing on the Democratic Party.
Expect a red tsunami on Election Day.

During a debate last week between candidates for governor in New York, incumbent Democrat Kathy Hochul was pushed by her Republican challenger, Rep. Lee Zeldin, about soaring crime.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t know why that&#8217;s so important to you,&#8221; Hochul said dismissively.
Bad answer. Very bad answer.
Democrats have long taken the black vote for granted — promising everything, delivering nothing — but the 2022 midterm election is a very different animal. This time around, blacks are furious about skyrocketing crime to the point where some are abandoning the Democratic Party.
Over eight in ten of black Democrats say violent crime is a &#8220;very important&#8221; issue in the 2022 election, <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2022/10/31/violent-crime-is-a-key-midterm-voting-issue-but-what-does-the-data-say/">according</a> to a recent Pew survey of registered voters. That compares to just 33% of white Democrats. &#8220;Black Americans have consistently been more likely than other racial and ethnic groups to express concern about violent crime, and that remains the case this year,&#8221; the pollsters <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/methods/2020/09/08/democrats-made-gains-from-multiple-sources-in-2018-midterm-victories/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.

But things are changing this time around. &#8220;Now 40% of Hispanics and 21% of Blacks are backing the Republican candidate,&#8221; <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/10/27/republicans-resurgent-economy-midterms/10596369002/">according</a> to a USA Today/Suffolk University poll.

Even The New York Times sees the writing on the wall.
&#8220;Mr. Zeldin could win because independents are siding with Republicans on crime and inflation rather than with Democrats, whose concerns over protecting democracy take precedence,&#8221; former Clinton adviser Mark Penn <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/31/opinion/lee-zeldin-kathy-hochul-governor.html">wrote</a> in an opinion column for the Times this week.
Hochul&#8217;s response at the debate shows just how out of touch Democrats are. And in an interview with Al Sharpton on MSNBC she dismissed the issue once again. &#8220;These are master manipulators,&#8221; she said of Republicans. &#8220;They have this conspiracy going all across America trying to convince people in Democratic states that they’re not as safe. Well guess what? They’re also not only election deniers, they’re data deniers.&#8221;
Meanwhile, Democrats have misplayed their cards with Hispanics, too. The party has endlessly pushed transgender issues and drag shows in schools, but that&#8217;s a no-go for the huge voting bloc.
&#8220;A majority of Hispanic voters oppose drag queen performances for children and teachers promoting gender ideology in schools, according to a new WPA Intelligence-Visto Media poll obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller,&#8221; the news outlet <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2022/10/31/exclusive-hispanic-voters-oppose-drag-queen-kids/">reported</a>.
Opponents told the pollsters they find it &#8220;inappropriate&#8221; for teachers to push gender identity and sexual orientation with school children as young as 6, the polling data found. And 57% of Hispanics believe it’s also &#8220;inappropriate&#8221; to teach gender ideology to kids.
&#8220;Sixty-one percent of Hispanics believe it’s inappropriate for &#8216;drag queens to perform in front of children under 10 years old,'&#8221; according to the poll. Just 24% believe that drag queen performances for children are appropriate,&#8221; the Caller reported.
Other <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/10/27/republicans-resurgent-economy-midterms/10596369002/">polls</a> have found the predominantly Christian black and Hispanic blocs are not supportive of the gay and transgender issues being pushed by Democrats. And they’re not at all happy about the defund the police and no-bail practices spouted by liberals — mainly because in the cities, they’re the most affected by the policies.
But along with abortion, the death of democracy, and lies about Republicans planning to strip away Social Security, those are the issues Democrats have decided to focus on in Campaign &#8217;22.
They&#8217;re about to find out that was a colossal mistake.

All the latest polls show that late-breakers in the 2022 midterm elections are moving hard to the Republican side, but what&#8217;s going on in Florida is insane.
&#8220;Florida has 5.28 million registered Republicans for the Nov. 8 election — an increase of more than 86,376 from the number of Republicans registered to vote in the August primary,&#8221; the Sun Sentinel <a href="https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/florida-republicans-register-9-new-voters-for-every-1-new-democrat-in-months-leading-to-midterms/ar-AA13vOUj">reports</a>.
&#8220;The state has 4.97 million Democrats — just 9,380 more than the number who were registered to vote in August.&#8221;
That&#8217;s more than nine Republican Floridians registered for every Democrat registered.
The explosive growth of the GOP in Florida has prompted some to ponder whether the state is still purple &#8212; able to vote red or blue, depending on the candidate.
Former President Donald Trump won Florida in 2016 and 2020, and Barack Obama won in 2008 and 2012. But with the new influx of Republican voters, that may start to change.
“It might be time to consider Florida, if not a red state, than a red-leaning state. If you’re just being factual, until the Democrats start winning races statewide with some degree of regularity, it’s hard to call it a battleground state,” Kevin Wagner, a Florida Atlantic University political scientist, told the Sun Sentinel.
The flood to the GOP goes back a decade. There are now 5.28 million registered Republicans in the state, up 24.3% from 2012. On the other hand, there are 4.97 million registered Democrats, which is just 3.96% higher than ten years ago.
The longtime swing has prompted President Joe Biden to travel to Fort Lauderdale this week in a last-ditch effort to save Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist. But the move seems pointless; the Real Clear Politics (RCP) average of all polls puts Crist behind by 12.3 points.
Biden will also try to save another Democrat, Val Demings, but she trails Sen. Marco Rubio in the RCP average by 8 points.
There&#8217;s more bad news nationally for Democrats that is likely playing out in Florida, too. Blacks and Hispanics are moving hard to the GOP.
During the last midterm elections in 2018, Democrats crushed Republicans among black voters, winning 92% of the black vote to just 6% for the GOP. That same year, Democrats enjoyed a lopsided majority among Hispanic voters, 72% to 25%, according to exit polling <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/methods/2020/09/08/democrats-made-gains-from-multiple-sources-in-2018-midterm-victories/">data</a> studied by Pew Research.
But amid skyrocketing gas and food prices and soaring crime rates across the country, the two voting blocs are having a change of heart from their long &#8212; and expected &#8212; support of Democrats.
