Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on Monday that he’s gutting the panel that advises on vaccination safety and efficacy, arguing that it’s another step toward restoring public trust.
Kennedy, whose department has already made <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cdc-stops-pushing-covid-shots-for-healthy-pregnant-women-children-common-sense">several moves</a> to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hhs-investing-500-million-to-develop-universal-vaccines?author=Amanda+Prestigiacomo&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=HHS+Investing+%24500+Million+To+Develop+Universal+Vaccines">shake up</a> vaccination research and recommendations, said he’s “retiring” all 17 members of the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices, known as ACIP.
“Today, we are taking a bold step in restoring public trust by totally reconstituting the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP),” RFK <a href="https://www.wsj.com/opinion/rfk-jr-hhs-moves-to-restore-public-trust-in-vaccines-45495112" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal. “We are retiring the 17 current members of the committee, some of whom were last-minute appointees of the Biden administration.”
Kennedy said he had to remove these panel members or the Trump administration wouldn&#8217;t be able to appoint a majority of new members until 2028.
RFK Jr. suggested the panel effectively works as a rubber-stamp and is plagued with conflicts of interest.
ACIP, he highlighted, has never recommended against a vaccination it’s been asked to advise on, even vaccines that were later withdrawn for safety reasons. “It has failed to scrutinize vaccine products given to babies and pregnant women,” he wrote.

“To make matters worse, the groups that inform ACIP meet behind closed doors, violating the legal and ethical principle of transparency crucial to maintaining public trust,” RFK said.
Kennedy cited a 2000 investigation that found enforcement of ACIP conflict-of-interest rules were “weak to nonexistent.”
“Committee members regularly participated in deliberations and advocated products in which they had a financial stake,” he wrote. “The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) issued conflict-of-interest waivers to every committee member.”
Citing a 2009 HHS inspector general report, Kennedy added that not all committee members completed full conflict-of-interest forms, and of the ones who did, it was found that 97% of the forms had omissions. Additionally, the CDC – which is the agency ACIP passes along its recommendations to – “took no significant action to remedy the omissions.”
“The public must know that unbiased science guides the recommendations from our health agencies,” Kennedy said. “This will ensure the American people receive the safest vaccines possible.&#8221;

President Donald Trump ordered on Wednesday an investigation into whether aides improperly used autopen for executive actions in an effort to conceal former President Joe Biden&#8217;s health issues while in office.
In a <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/06/reviewing-certain-presidential-actions/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">memo</a>, Trump tasked the Counsel to the President with determining if &#8220;certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden&#8217;s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.&#8221; Trump noted the U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and other relevant agency heads would provide consultation.
&#8220;Given clear indications that President Biden lacked the capacity to exercise his Presidential authority, if his advisors secretly used the mechanical signature pen to conceal this incapacity, while taking radical executive actions all in his name, that would constitute an unconstitutional wielding of the power of the Presidency, a circumstance that would have implications for the legality and validity of numerous executive actions undertaken in Biden&#8217;s name,&#8221; Trump said.
A president is allowed to use a machine to sign off on various documents. However, the Heritage Foundation&#8217;s Oversight Project examined records with Biden&#8217;s signature over the course of his presidency and found many important documents featuring autopen signatures, including his 11th-hour <a href="https://x.com/ItsYourGov/status/1899520975156216146" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pardons</a> for Dr. Anthony Fauci, General Mark Milley, January 6 Committee members, and certain Biden family members.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump went as far as to <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@Hua341/posts/114451007070972131" target="_blank" rel="noopener">insist</a> Biden&#8217;s pardons using autopen were &#8220;VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT.&#8221; He also said members of the &#8220;Unselect Committee&#8221; should &#8220;fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level.&#8221;
Other presidential signatures on documents, such as the pardon for Hunter Biden and the president&#8217;s announcement that he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race after a fumbling debate performance against Trump, appear to have been done by hand, the Oversight Project <a href="https://oversight.heritage.org/Autopen_Memorandum_(Final).pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">determined</a>.
In a <a href="https://x.com/mviser/status/1930449726538670156" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>, Biden pushed back on the notion that he did not dictate his executive actions. “Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency. I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false,&#8221; the 46th president said.
Republicans in Congress have been skeptical, looking into any efforts to cover up Biden&#8217;s condition and the potential unauthorized use of autopen. House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/release/chairman-comer-demands-testimony-from-bidens-doctor-former-white-house-aides-on-cover-up-of-mental-decline/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">demanded</a> testimony from various former White House aides and, on Wednesday night, announced he would be <a href="https://x.com/RepJamesComer/status/1930413180200652905" target="_blank" rel="noopener">subpoenaing</a> Biden&#8217;s doctor.
The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-is-impersonation-of-the-president-expert-lays-out-the-stakes-of-bidens-autopen-controversy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> Daniel Turner, founder of Power The Future, testified to Congress on Wednesday that White House staff may have used an autopen of Biden’s signature in a &#8220;deceit of the American people&#8221; in which orders were signed with &#8220;no evidence of Joe Biden in first person, in his voice as president talking about them.&#8221;
A new book from CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson, &#8220;Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,&#8221; as well as the recent disclosure that Biden is fighting an &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-biden-diagnosed-with-aggressive-form-of-prostate-cancer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">aggressive form</a>&#8221; of prostate cancer and the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/audio-of-bidens-special-counsel-interview-is-out-and-its-painful-to-listen-to" target="_blank" rel="noopener">audio</a> of former special counsel Robert Hur’s interview with him fueled scrutiny.

Arkansas Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is not backing down after pharmacy giant CVS has threatened to leave the state over a new state law targeting drug middlemen called pharmacy benefit managers, or PBMs.
In an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqAe_rGGNek">interview with The Daily Wire</a>, Sanders said she would not allow CVS, which owns one of the &#8220;Big Three&#8221; PBMs called Caremark, to &#8220;manipulate and control the market simply so that they keep a few stores in our state open.&#8221; 
“It shows where their priorities are,&#8221; the governor said over CVS&#8217;s response to the law. &#8220;They would rather own the PBM than keep their pharmacy open and provide care to the patients they claim to care about. I think it tells us everything that we need to know, that they care more about their bottom line.&#8221;
&#8220;Look, I&#8217;m all for private industry making money, but not on the backs of the people who really need access to care, really need access to some of these specialty drugs that they&#8217;re inflating the market on,&#8221; Sanders continued. 
The Republican told The Daily Wire that other pharmacies are willing to take CVS&#8217;s place if need be.
&#8220;We have a number of other pharmacies that I know will be happy to step up and take CVS’s place if they decide to take their ball and go home,&#8221; Sanders blasted. 
As highlighted by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/every-cvs-pharmacy-in-red-state-might-close-after-crackdown-on-drug-middlemen" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire</a> last month, CVS said it might have to close all 23 of its pharmacies in Arkansas over the new policy. The company issued similar threats before Sanders signed the bill into law in April.
The law in question is a first-in-the-nation targeting of PBMs, and is set to go into effect in January 2026. It bans PBMs from holding permits for prescription drug sales in Arkansas.
PBMs are supposed to lower drug prices for Americans. They act as middlemen between drug manufacturers, insurance companies, and pharmacies, and negotiate prices. 
However, over the last decade, PBMs have consolidated, and now there are just three companies overseeing prescriptions for more than <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/21/business/prescription-drug-costs-pbm.html">270 million Americans</a>. They’ve been accused by both Republicans and Democrats of inflating prices for their own benefit and driving small pharmacies out of business. 
“What was happening is you have these pharmaceutical companies, they’re supposed to use PBMs to negotiate better drug prices between the insurance companies and the pharmacies,&#8221; Sanders explained. &#8220;But what was actually happening is the pharmacies were buying the PBMs and completely controlling and monopolizing the market. We call &#8217;em drug middlemen, because that’s exactly what they are.&#8221;
&#8220;They’re over-inflating prices and passing that inflation down to the consumer,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;You had three of the largest PBMs in the country controlling 80% of the pharmaceutical market – complete control allows them to charge more.” 
Sanders also stressed that this law in Arkansas is intended to help small pharmacies keep their doors open. PMBs reportedly pay lowball prices to small independent pharmacies, forcing many to close their doors. 
“We&#8217;re optimistic that prices will come down not only in our state, but also that our local pharmacies will be able to keep their doors open, which was another big priority for us, so that people in rural communities don&#8217;t lose that access to care,&#8221; Sanders said. 
In a statement sent to The Daily Wire on Wednesday, CVS called the law in question &#8220;harmful&#8221; and &#8220;unconstitutional.&#8221;
&#8220;We’ve filed a lawsuit to block Act 624, a harmful law that will shut down 23 CVS Pharmacy locations, eliminate hundreds of jobs, and drive-up costs for Arkansans,&#8221; the statement said. &#8220;This unconstitutional law puts local politics ahead of patients, restricting their access to life-saving medications and undermining fair competition.&#8221;
The company notes its PBM reimbursing small independent pharmacies in the state more than it does CVS pharmacies.
About a month after Sanders signed the Arkansas bill, President Donald Trump signed an executive order targeting PBMs. The EO encourages direct consumer purchases, cutting out PBMs, and mandates more pricing transparency. 
Sanders said momentum is building across the country to tackle this issue. 
&#8220;I think the big thing here is that this isn&#8217;t just going to be something that takes place in Arkansas,&#8221; she said. &#8220;You&#8217;re seeing Louisiana look at passing similar legislation, New York, Texas, other states all over the country. It&#8217;s not even a Republican or Democrat issue. This is something that I think a lot of governors, as well as this president, are recognizing and actually taking action on something that&#8217;s been needed for a long time.” 
Sanders said she&#8217;s optimistic that consumers will have more access to prescription drugs and lower prices soon after this law goes into effect in 2026.

FDA Commissioner Marty Makary has committed to reviewing the abortion pill&#8217;s safety, according to Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO).
Hawley posted a letter he received from Makary on social media, noting the FDA head promised to review the safety of mifepristone, the popular abortion drug.
&#8220;As the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, I am committed to conducting a review of mifepristone and working with the professional career scientists at the Agency who review this data,&#8221; Makary wrote in his letter to Hawley.

&#8220;As with all drugs, FDA continues to closely monitor the postmarketing safety data on mifepristone for the medical termination of early pregnancy,&#8221; Makary wrote.
Makary also noted that mifepristone is currently enmeshed in legal battles.
&#8220;FDA generally does not comment on matters that are the subject of pending litigation and therefore is unable to provide further information on this topic at this time,&#8221; the FDA chief said.
&#8220;FDA is committed to safeguarding public health by ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of the products it regulates,&#8221; Makary wrote. &#8220;The Agency carefully evaluates the scientific data, leveraging rigorous science to make informed decisions.&#8221;
The two-pill chemical abortion regimen — mifepristone, usually followed by misoprostol — aims to end the life of the unborn baby and expel it from the woman’s uterus. However, the drugs sometimes fail to expel all the fetal tissue, which can cause life-threatening complications.
An <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/abortion-pill-22-times-more-dangerous-than-fda-claimed-new-study-says?author=Mairead+Elordi&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=7&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Abortion+Pill+22+Times+More+Dangerous+Than+FDA+Claimed%2C+New+Study+Says" target="_blank" rel="noopener">analysis</a> released in April found that more than one in 10 women experienced a “serious adverse event” after taking the mifepristone abortion pill in 2023. This can include hemorrhaging, needing a blood transfusion, an emergency room visit, and even deadly conditions like sepsis.
That is about 22 times higher than what the FDA listed on its label for the brand Mifeprex in 2023. The FDA <a href="https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2023/020687Orig1s025Lbl.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cited</a> clinical studies saying less than 0.5% of women suffered “serious adverse reactions” to mifepristone.
Meanwhile, more than one in 20 women need a second abortion attempt after the abortion pill fails, another analysis of insurance claim data <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/more-than-1-in-20-women-need-second-abortion-attempt-after-abortion-pill-fails?author=Mairead+Elordi&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=0&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=More+Than+1+in+20+Women+Need+Second+Abortion+Attempt+After+Abortion+Pill+Fails" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> this week showed.
Last month, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., head of the Department of Health and Human Services, told lawmakers he had requested the FDA do a “complete review” of the abortion pill in the wake of the new data.
“It’s alarming,” RFK Jr. told Hawley during a Senate committee hearing.
“Clearly, it indicates that at the very least the label should be changed,” he said. “I’ve asked Marty Makary, who’s the director of the FDA, to do a complete review and to report back.”
A few months before Roe v. Wade was overturned, the FDA scrapped the requirement that women must obtain abortion pills in person from a healthcare provider, allowing them to get them online through the mail.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) permitted Khelif to compete in the women’s Olympic boxing at the Paris Games last year, despite failed gender tests in 2019 and 2023. Khelif <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/boxer-who-failed-gender-tests-wins-gold-in-womens-boxing-without-dropping-single-round-entire-olympic-run">dominated</a> the women’s welterweight final, taking home the gold without dropping a single round the entire Olympics.
&#8220;Chromosome analysis reveals male karyotype,&#8221; the medical report says, <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/boxing/2025/06/01/imane-khelif-medical-report-proves-biological-male/">according</a> to The Telegraph.
The test was <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-14771089/Leaked-medical-report-Imane-Khelif-biological-male-Olympics.html">administered</a> by Dr. Lal PathLabs in New Delhi back in 2023, which was the same year the International Boxing Association (IBA) disqualified Khelif for failed gender tests.

A spokesperson for the candy <a href="https://torontosun.com/life/food/skittles-removes-controversial-additive-targeted-by-rfk-jr" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confirmed</a> to Bloomberg News on Tuesday that titanium dioxide was removed from all Skittles production at the end of last year.
In the MAHA report, the chemical was identified as a potentially concerning food additive, possibly having &#8220;carcinogenic effects.&#8221;
&#8220;Over 2,500 food additives — including emulsifiers, binders, sweeteners, colorings, and preservatives — may be used to mimic the taste and texture of conventional food and increase its shelf life,&#8221; the report highlighted. &#8220;Studies have linked certain food additives to increased risks of mental disorders, ADHD, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndromes and even carcinogenic effects.&#8221;

&#8220;Titanium Dioxide, widely used in a range of candies and sauces, may cause cellular and DNA damage,&#8221; the report said.
As highlighted by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rfk-jr-to-ban-petroleum-based-food-dyes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire</a>, Kennedy has already targeted food dyes, another controversial food additive.
RFK Jr. announced in April that he&#8217;s directing food manufacturers to phase out eight petroleum-based food dyes from candy, cereals, sports drinks, and other grocery staples by the end of 2026.
The dyes targeted <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/21/dining/rfk-jr-food-dyes.html">include</a> Red No. 40, Yellow No. 5, Yellow No. 6, Blue No. 1, Blue No. 2, Green No. 3, Red No. 3, and Orange B. Skittles candies still contain some of these dyes.
&#8220;Certain food colorings, such as red 40, which is present in widely-consumed products have been associated with behavioral issues in children, such as increased hyperactivity and symptoms consistent with ADHD,&#8221; the MAHA Commission report said of the additives. &#8220;Additionally, preliminary evidence suggests a possible association between the consumption of food colorings and autism, although further long-term research is necessary to establish a definitive link.&#8221;

&#8220;Scientists have been waving the flag for years, saying you have got to look at this body of scientific data. And the modern medical establishment really has been disconnected. We have been so busy focusing on treatment, on billing and coding in a high-throughput model,&#8221; Makary said.

“Somebody’s calling me from some number I don’t recognize, something in Florida and I sent it to voicemail. And a little bit later I thought, I better check that voicemail and see if that was anything I need to deal with. And the first sentence in the transcription, cause you know the phone gives you the text version of the voicemail as well. Dr. Stephen Quay does not believe President Joe Biden was only just diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer, telling The Daily Wire, &#8220;there is a mismatch between the standard of care [Biden] should have been getting, and what we&#8217;re hearing about now.&#8221;
Quay, a University of Michigan-educated doctor, author, and <a href="https://drquay.com/">renowned scientist</a>, spoke to The Daily Wire just days after the former president&#8217;s office announced that he had been diagnosed with an &#8220;aggressive form&#8221; of prostate cancer that had already metastasized to his bones. He said he&#8217;s received death threats since he began speaking out about Biden&#8217;s diagnosis, calling the experience &#8220;quite bizarre.&#8221;
But Quay made it clear that he is simply offering thoughts &#8220;based on peer-reviewed papers that address large populations.&#8221; To that end, he notes that 85 to 90% of all cases, the disease progression from localized in the prostate to advanced metastatic disease is a process that plays out &#8220;over the course of five to seven years.&#8221;
Quay made it clear that while a rapid onset of advanced disease was certainly possible, that was only the case in perhaps one or two percent of patients. He also noted the fact that Biden&#8217;s cancer is &#8220;hormone sensitive&#8221; could potentially explain the former president&#8217;s physical and cognitive decline.
&#8220;The standard treatment would be to deprive the body of testosterone through <a href="https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/prostate-cancer/treating/hormone-therapy.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Androgen Deprivation Therapy,&#8221;</a> Quay said. For a man of Biden&#8217;s age, such a precipitous drop in testosterone could lead patients to lose muscle tone and become noticeably weaker.
&#8220;Out of 100 men, nearly 40% will have a serious fall within six to 12 months of ADT treatment,&#8221; he said, adding that another common side effect had to do with patients seeing cognitive issues.
&#8220;Some of that will be self-reported, where they just notice that maybe they&#8217;re not as sharp as they have been in the past,&#8221; Quay said, also noting that the people around the patient might also notice cognitive decline even when the patient himself did not.
While Quay said that he had no knowledge of whether Biden <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doctors-raise-questions-about-timing-of-biden-cancer-diagnosis-unbelievable-this-was-missed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">knew of his diagnosis</a> prior to his office&#8217;s public announcement, he said that it was possible that the former president&#8217;s noticeably awkward gait and obvious cognitive issues were side effects of the standard treatment for his cancer.
If that were the case, he added, he could understand why someone in Biden&#8217;s position might have made a &#8220;calculated decision&#8221; not to release the information to the public.
&#8220;He might have not had the cognitive issues when he decided to go ahead with a campaign,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It&#8217;s true that he probably couldn’t be elected with cancer or cognitive issues, so at some point, he would have to make a calculated decision whether or not to tell people. But to speak to whether or not that was the right course of action, I stop being a doctor with an opinion and start being a voter with an opinion — and that’s fine as long as I can keep them compartmentalized.&#8221;
A Biden spokesman has said that <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/joe-biden/joe-biden-psa-screening-2014-prostate-cancer-rcna208120" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nothing was hidden</a> from the public and that the former president did not receive his prostate cancer diagnosis until last Friday. The spokesman also said Biden&#8217;s last known prostate cancer screening — called a Prostate Specific Antigen test — was in 2014.
Quay discussed the efficacy of PSAs in an X post shortly after Biden&#8217;s diagnosis was made public.
&#8220;Prostate cancer is the easiest cancer to diagnose when it first starts and to watch it progress to bone metastases,&#8221; he wrote.
&#8220;The PSA blood test shows the rate of cancer cell growth. For even with the most aggressive form, it is a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic. Meaning, it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and be first diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025. It is highly likely he was carrying a diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout his White House tenure and the American people were uninformed.&#8221;

&#8220;If you can believe what they say, that it is hormone sensitive, that means that it would be detectable in PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) levels,&#8221; he said, noting that PSA testing is not always recommended after age 69, but that for someone in Biden&#8217;s position it seemed unwise not to go ahead with the test.
&#8220;There is a mismatch between the standard of care that he should have been getting and what we’re hearing about now.&#8221;
