Actor Harrison Ford is not happy that President Trump won&#8217;t buy into climate change alarmism.
The 83-year-old “Indiana Jones” star ripped into the president while speaking to <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/oct/31/harrison-ford-donald-trump-climate-crisis">The Guardian</a> this week as he prepared to receive a conservation leadership award at Chicago’s Field Museum.
“[Trump] doesn’t have any policies, he has whims. It scares the sh** out of me,” Ford told the outlet. “The ignorance, the hubris, the lies, the perfidy. [Trump] knows better, but he’s an instrument of the status quo and he’s making money, hand over fist, while the world goes to hell in a hand basket. It’s unbelievable. I don’t know of a greater criminal in history.”
“I knew it was coming, I have been preaching this stuff for 30 years,” the actor said. “Everything we’ve said about climate change has come true. Why is that not sufficient that it alarms people that they change behaviors? Because of the entrenched status quo.”
Ford’s tirade against Trump continued. “He’s losing ground because everything he says is a lie,” he added. 
The “Star Wars” actor’s comments come just after climate activist Bill Gates admitted that there are bigger problems in the world that need solving before climate initiatives should be addressed.
“Climate change, disease, and poverty are all major problems,” the tech billionaire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bill-gates-walks-back-climate-doom-it-will-not-lead-to-humanitys-demise">wrote</a> in an essay earlier this week. “We should deal with them in proportion to the suffering they cause.”
The Microsoft co-founder admitted that the Earth’s temperature is not the most important factor for improving life on the planet and said the “doomsday” view of climate change is “wrong.”
“Although climate change will have serious consequences — particularly for people in the poorest countries — it will not lead to humanity’s demise,” Gates wrote.

Hollywood star Rob Lowe celebrated all that veterans and first responders have done in a Super Bowl LIX ad that most people probably didn’t see even though it aired during the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
In the 30 second ad — which only aired in local markets in Colorado and Wyoming — Lowe provides a voice over for an ad for the White Heart Foundation, a charity that focuses on providing mental health support for veterans and first responders &#8230; according to its <a href="https://www.whiteheart.org/history">website</a>.
“They’ve had our backs — now let’s have theirs,” Lowe captioned his post. “Veterans and first responders face unique mental health challenges, but they don’t have to face them alone.”

The ad opens with the message, “It’s a thankless job, you exist to provide hope, but the trauma you face doesn’t just stay on the job,” Lowe said. “It follows you home. This is the sacrifice you make so that others can have hope.”
“But everyone deserves hope. Even heroes,” it added. “Join us as we provide hope for America’s heroes. The White Heart Foundation.”
Throughout the ad, there are numerous images of military honors and medals, juxtaposed with images of fires and accidents. 
It was just one of several patriotic commercials that aired during the big game on Sunday, including a Jeep ad featuring actor Harrison Ford that also got a lot of attention.

“There are real heroes in the world, but not the ones in the movies,” he added. “Real heroes are humble, and they’re not driven by pride … The most sacred thing in life isn’t the path. It’s the freedom to choose it.”
Another <a href="https://x.com/TheCalvinCooli1/status/1888729012358234224">ad</a> features actor Brad Pitt and celebrates America’s history, showcasing an image of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence and talking about celebrating the glory of the game not as individuals but as one. 
“We, the people. Today we come together, not just these players and coaches or these teams and sides. We, all of us, the dreamers, the warriors, the builders and believers,” Pitt said. 
“Brought together to celebrate our greatest game, the game that teaches us what we can achieve when we gather together in a that most American of formations, the one most fundamental to every play call in every game, the huddle,” he added. “Think about it. When we are bound by a common goal, we have reached heights, authored achievements, pushed progress, not alone but together, in ways that have lifted the world and one another.”

Actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/harrison-ford">Harrison Ford</a> issued a two-word response to his recent project, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which underperformed expectations at the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/movies">box office</a> in 2023. 
“S***  happens,” the 82-year-old action star recently told <a href="https://www.wsj.com/style/harrison-ford-shrinking-1923-captain-america-7b1f9b3f">WSJ. Magazine</a> of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/disney">Disney</a> film’s lackluster box office performance. “I was really the one who felt there was another story to tell. When [Indy] had suffered the consequences of the life that he had to live, I wanted one more chance to pick him up and shake the dust off his ass and stick him out there, bereft of some of his vigor, to see what happened.”
“I’m still happy I made that movie,” Ford added.
“Dial of Destiny” was the fifth film in the popular “Indiana Jones” franchise, which began in 1981 with “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” &#8220;Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull&#8221; (2008) is the <a href="https://www.statista.com/statistics/608218/box-office-revenue-indiana-jones/#:~:text=As%20of%20July%202023%2C%20%22Indiana,Raiders%20of%20the%20Lost%20Ark%22.">highest-grossing title</a> in the franchise, with gross domestic sales totaling $317 million and worldwide sales of more than $786 million.
The latest title brought in just under $160 million domestically, resulting in a net loss of $143 million, per <a href="https://deadline.com/2024/05/biggest-box-office-bombs-2023-lowest-grossing-movies-1235902825/">Deadline</a>. 
Bad reviews didn’t help “Dial of Destiny” sell tickets. A Rolling Stone <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-reviews/indiana-jones-and-the-dial-of-destiny-review-harrison-ford-phoebe-waller-bridge-cannes-nazis-james-mangold-1234736151/">review</a> said, “[Y]ou either die an intellectual-property hero trapped in amber, or you live long enough to see yourself riding a fake horse against a green-screened subway background when most of your peers have slowed down.”
“[O]ne can feel the four credited screenwriters grasping at inspiration and coming up short. What they did manage to make would be perfectly fine as a standalone adventure film starring some other character, but it’s not worthy of the whip,” Vanity Fair critic Richard Lawson <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/05/hunting-treasures-punching-nazis-indiana-jones-is-back-in-the-dial-of-destiny?srsltid=AfmBOopkCLdM8EaiAzQjkYNd_D0JTEX9OcN2rjkWz9bQ6nlkjWlaX5xR">wrote</a>.
Many moviegoers also questioned how realistic it was to have Ford still playing an action star at the age of 80. The actor famously said no one else should take on the role after he stops playing it. “This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character,” Ford <a href="https://www.the-independent.com/arts-entertainment/films/news/harrison-ford-indiana-jones-dial-destiny-box-office-bomb-b2693172.html">told</a> Total Film Magazine in April 2023. “I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film.”
Ford recently returned for Season 2 of the Apple TV+ series “Shrinking.” The actor will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Thaddeus Ross in “Captain America: Brave New World,” which hits theaters on February 14.

The seventh installment in the M:I franchise, &#8220;<a href="https://www.boxofficemojo.com/title/tt9603212/?ref_=bo_se_r_1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">M:I-Dead Reckoning Part One</a>,&#8221; has earned $164,626,507 at the domestic box office as of Monday with &#8220;Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny&#8221; bringing in $173,611,344, according to <a href="https://www.boxofficemojo.com/title/tt1462764/?ref_=bo_se_r_1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Box Office Mojo</a>. That puts both films behind the surprise hit of the summer &#8220;<a href="https://www.boxofficemojo.com/title/tt7599146/?ref_=bo_se_r_1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sound of Freedom</a>&#8221; which has earned $177,773,859 as of Monday domestically.
Internationally both films have done better — with the latest &#8220;Mission: Impossible,&#8221; which came out in July, scoring $541 million at the end of the weekend. And Ford&#8217;s reprisal of his famed adventurer&#8217;s role in the fifth installment of the Disney franchise, which hit theaters in early June,  earning $375 million over the same time frame.
Despite those global numbers, the cost of the making the two films in pandemic era (due to delays in release dates and COVID safety measures), means they both had to do better than they have, with experts estimating both will have lost nearly $100 million in their theater runs, according to sources familiar with the financials, <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/indiana-jones-5-mission-impossible-7-box-office-flops-explained-1235690262/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety</a> noted.

&#8220;These movies would have been a lot more economical if it weren&#8217;t for COVID,&#8221; Shawn Robbins, chief analyst at Boxoffice Pro told the outlet. &#8220;But even if that meant their budgets were inflated, at the end of the day, these movies cost what they cost and performed how they performed.&#8221;
Sources with knowledge told the outlet Cruise&#8217;s &#8220;M:I-7&#8221; needs to earn $600 million globally in order to break even.
To put the numbers of each of the film&#8217;s into further context, &#8220;Mission: Impossible-Fallout&#8221; in 2018 earned $791 million, not adjusted for inflation. While 2008&#8217;s &#8220;Kingdom of the Crystal Skull&#8221; remains the franchise&#8217;s highest-grossing film after it took in $790 million globally, the outlet noted.
Cruise&#8217;s last film before &#8220;M:I-7&#8221; came out was the smash hit &#8220;Top Gun: Maverick&#8221; from Paramount. It was released in May 2022, and held the honor of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/avatar-sequel-soars-past-top-gun-maverick-globally-to-become-top-grossing-film-of-2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">top-grossing movie</a> released last year, earning nearly $1.5 billion globally.

An &#8220;Indiana Jones&#8221; character&#8217;s well-known connection to snakes and his utter hatred for them has inspired researchers to name a new snake found in the Andes mountains after the actor who plays him, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/harrison-ford-recalls-the-unfortunate-thing-hes-known-for-on-film-sets-but-hey-s-happens" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Harrison Ford</a>.
The new species of snake was discovered in May in Peru by researchers who have named the reptile Tachymenoides harrisonfordi, with Harrison Ford calling the experience &#8220;humbling,&#8221; according to <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/harrison-ford-snakes-indiana-jones-new-species-1235566363/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Hollywood Reporter</a>.
&#8220;These scientists keep naming critters after me, but it&#8217;s always the ones that terrify children,&#8221; Ford said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t understand. I spend my free time cross-stitching. I sing lullabies to my basil plants, so they won&#8217;t fear the night,&#8221;
&#8220;In all seriousness, this discovery is humbling,&#8221; he added. &#8220;It&#8217;s a reminder that there&#8217;s still so much to learn about our wild world — and that humans are one small part of an impossibly vast biosphere.&#8221;
&#8220;On this planet, all fates are intertwined, and right now, one million species are teetering on the edge of oblivion,&#8221; Ford continued. &#8220;We have an existential mandate to mend our broken relationship with nature and protect the places that sustain life.&#8221;
American and Peruvian researchers have only located one of these species, which is described as a slender, pale yellowish-brown snake with black splotches, measuring 16 inches long.  They said they named the snake after Ford to honor his decades-long environmental advocacy, the outlet noted.
As Ford said, the snake isn&#8217;t the first critter to be named after him — researchers named an ant (Pheidole harrisonfordi) and a spider (Calponia harrisonfordi) after the actor, the outlet noted.
Ford has long been linked to the slimy creatures following his iconic line in the first Indiana Jones film, &#8220;Raiders of the Lost Ark&#8221; and scenes with them throughout the franchise.

The incident occurred during a recent episode of the “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” podcast after the “Indiana Jones” actor realized that O’Brien had “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/star-wars">Han Solo</a>” written in his interview notes. 
“I refer you to this piece of paper right here,” O’Brien said. “That says, ‘Born and raised in Chicago to an Irish German father—&#8217;”
When Ford leaned over and looked at the paper, he noticed that it included notes about his role as Han Solo, as <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/harrison-ford-roasts-conan-obrien-han-solo-note-reminder-interview-1235662615">Variety</a> reported.
“Well if that’s a quality of your research, and I imagine it is because right there it says ‘Harrison Ford’ and then you had to write ‘Han Solo,&#8217;” Ford said. “You can’t f***ing remember that?”
“No I can’t. I can’t remember Han Solo,” O’Brien jokingly replied. “I wrote it down because I heard that you were in some of the ‘Star Wars films, and this was news to me because I’ve seen those films and I don’t exactly think that you &#8216;pop.&#8217;”
“I’m sorry. But I mean, I remember Chewbacca, I remember the bad guy with the black helmet and then … there’s some people,” the podcast host added.
The pair continued with their verbal sparring. 
“You came on my show many many times, on the ‘Late Night’ show,” O’Brien told Ford. “And over the years people would say, ‘Who’s one of your favorite guests?’ And I would say, ‘Harrison Ford, because he’s so g**damn funny.’ You are so hilariously funny and you tossed me around like a rag doll, verbally, on these shows, and they’re some of my favorite segments of all time. You are a hilarious man and I’ve always loved being around you.”

While $60 million is a lot of money compared to other recent openings, “Indiana Jones 5” cost a fortune to make. It was a disappointing weekend at the domestic box office overall, with “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken,” earning just $5.2 million. 
DC superhero movie “The Flash” came in number 8 during its third weekend in theaters with $5 million, representing a 67% drop in revenue from the previous two weekends. That film earned just shy of $100 million overall with $99.2 million in total ticket sales so far, per <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/box-office-indiana-jones-5-opening-weekend-disappointment-1235660071/">Variety</a>.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exhausting-slog-glaringly-fake-critics-shred-disneys-indiana-jones-5">Poor reviews</a> of the film haven’t helped matters. The Rolling Stone review said of “Indiana Jones 5,” “[Y]ou either die an intellectual-property hero trapped in amber, or you live long enough to see yourself riding a fake horse against a green-screened subway background when most of your peers have slowed down.”
“[O]ne can feel the four credited screenwriters grasping at inspiration and coming up short. What they did manage to make would be perfectly fine as a standalone adventure film starring some other character, but it’s not worthy of the whip,” Vanity Fair critic Richard Lawson wrote.
Many moviegoers questioned how realistic it was to have Ford, 80, still playing an action star. The actor famously said no one else should take on the role after he stops playing it. “This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character,” Ford <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/harrison-ford-says-new-indiana-jones-film-will-be-his-last">told</a> Total Film Magazine in April. “I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film.”

In his inestimably honest way, Harrison Ford answered the most common question fans of Indiana Jones and Star Wars fans alike in his famous roles in both blockbuster franchises.
Ford, 80, was <a href="https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/movies/a43965150/harrison-ford-indiana-jones-interview/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interviewed</a> by Esquire reporter Ryan D&#8217;Agostino, who asked him what kinds of questions Star Wars superfans asked him.
“Well, they usually ask me, ‘If there was a fight between Han Solo and Indiana Jones, who would f***in’ win?’ And I say, ‘Me, a**hole! I don’t want to f***ing make s*** up like that. I mean, what are you asking me that crap for?’”
Ford played Han Solo for the first time in the original Star Wars in 1977; he later played Indiana Jones for the first time in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981.
“We look for ourselves, and we look for useful information to help us navigate our f***ing lives and the world that we’re living in,” Ford said of people who love movies and books. “We don’t realize we’re looking for that. But we’re looking to pull out of a fantasy something that’s useful to us. And what’s useful to us is to emotionally participate in things outside of our own lives.”
Ford spoke of the new Indiana Jones movie, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” — which will be his last — and what it’s like to be 80. One scene had Ford riding a horse on a subway platform, and as he finished the scene, he felt hands on his legs.
He recalled, “I thought, what the f***? Like I was being attacked by gropers. I look down and there’s three stunt guys there making sure I didn’t fall off the stirrup. They said, ‘Oh, we were just afraid because we thought, you know, and bah bah bah bah’. And I said, Leave me the f*** alone, I’m an old man getting off a horse and I want it to look like that!”
Asked why he hasn’t written his autobiography, Ford explained that he had encountered Elton John at Stella McCartney’s fiftieth-birthday party, and John asked him why he hadn’t done so. “I said, ‘I thought about it, but I decided I’m not going to do it, because I didn’t want to tell the truth,’” Ford remembered. “And I saw the disappointment on his face — Elton’s a pretty genuine guy, you know. I wanted to mollify him, so I said, ‘But I didn’t want to lie, either.’ So that’s the reason I’m not writing a book: because I don’t want to tell the truth, and I don’t want to lie.”

Actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/harrison-ford">Harrison Ford</a> is on the interview circuit promoting his new “Indiana Jones” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/movies">movie</a>, and during a recent conversation admitted he would have been a better father if he hadn’t been famous.
The 80-year-old knew immediately after he delivered the line to a writer at <a href="https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/movies/a43965150/harrison-ford-indiana-jones-interview/">Esquire</a> that it would make headlines, just like his previous “I know who the f*** I am” comment earlier in May following his interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
The interviewer was talking about how “becoming a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/parents">parent</a> changes a person,” and how it’s easy to imagine taking a bullet for your own child. That’s when Ford said, “I can tell you this: If I’d been less successful, I’d probably be a better parent.”
After acknowledging that this thought could go viral, Ford continued, referencing the &#8220;I know who the f*** I am&#8221; line. 
“Which I still get s*** about from my wife, like I don’t take mental health seriously. I do take mental health seriously. I was trying to say, as I explained to her: It’s that I accommodate all of the flaws that people go to psychiatrists to accommodate, because I accept my flaws.”
The actor said, “I accept my flaws and my failures—I don’t accept them, I own them. And certainly the more constant gardener is the better parent, and I’ve been out of town, up my own a**, for most of my life.”
The “Indiana Jones” star first became a father in the 1960s with the births of sons Benjamin, 56, and Willard, 54, before he began his acting career. He shares those two children with his first wife, illustrator Mary Marquardt. 
Next, Ford had two children with his second wife Melissa Mathison. The pair welcomed son Malcolm, 35, and daughter Georgia, 32, in 1987 and 1990, respectively.

The actor has addressed the challenges of parenting children at different stages of his life and career in the past. 
&#8220;My older children have taught me a lot,&#8221; Ford told <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/harrison-ford-i-m-in-it-for-the-money-1903806.html">The Independent</a> during a 2010 interview. &#8220;My first child was born when I was 25; I reckon I&#8217;m a little better at [parenting] now.&#8221;
At the time, Ford insisted he felt “like the father of a 9-year-old” despite being 67 at the time. “Yeah, obviously, I&#8217;m getting older but I don&#8217;t relate to it very much. It doesn&#8217;t interest me as something to dwell on,” he said.

Actor Harrison Ford recalled one thing that he is apparently &#8220;known for&#8221; on film sets — and while he admitted that it wasn&#8217;t actually the best thing to be known for, he shrugged it off: &#8220;But hey, s*** happens.&#8221;
Ford, 80, explained that he had earned a reputation for shutting down film sets – usually because he had injured himself while shooting the movie — and his latest offering, &#8220;Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,&#8221; was no exception.
The new film in the iconic franchise showcases Ford both at his current age and, through the use of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-little-spooky-harrison-ford-80-reacts-to-de-aging-scene-in-new-indiana-jones-5-movie" target="_blank" rel="noopener">de-aging</a> technology, as a <a href="https://movieweb.com/indiana-jones-5-director-explains-why-the-dial-of-destiny-opens-with-a-de-aged-harrison-ford/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">much younger man</a> fighting the Nazis – and Ford joked during a <a href="https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/movies/a43965150/harrison-ford-indiana-jones-interview/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recent interview</a> with Esquire that he really wanted to let his age show in the parts of the movie where it was relevant to do so.
While filming a scene in which he rides through the streets of New York City (circa 1969) in a ticker-tape parade, Ford said that he had noticed the stunt workers <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/harrison-ford-yelled-indiana-jones-5-stuntmen-leave-me-alone-1235629150/?cx_testId=48&amp;cx_testVariant=cx_1&amp;cx_artPos=0#cxrecs_s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hovering</a> a little bit closer than he&#8217;d like.

But then, while filming a fight scene with co-star Mads Mikkelsen, Ford&#8217;s age showed itself in another way – when he pulled the subscapularis muscle in his right shoulder and filming was shut down entirely for two weeks. Ford had to sit out for an additional six weeks while he was recovering from the injury — and he wryly noted that it wasn&#8217;t the first time something like that had happened.
&#8220;Yeah, well, I’m also known for shutting movies down because I get hurt, which is not something you want to be known for,&#8221; the &#8220;Star Wars&#8221; actor said. &#8220;But hey, s*** happens.&#8221;

Now Ford&#8217;s 80 years old, not exactly the age of an action hero. And the fifth installment of the movie is not faring well with critics.
&#8220;It’s all pretty goofy and laborious over its 142-minute running time,&#8221; Peter Howell of the Toronto Star <a href="https://www.thestar.com/entertainment/movies/review/2023/05/21/indiana-jones-and-the-dial-of-destiny-neither-triumph-nor-disaster.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>.
The Rolling Stone review was even more harsh. &#8220;[Y]ou either die an intellectual-property hero trapped in amber, or you live long enough to see yourself riding a fake horse against a green-screened subway background when most of your peers have slowed down.&#8221;
&#8220;[Y]ou’re largely left with what you imagine you’d get if you programmed a 21st century A.I. program to write up nostalgia-bait for the children of the late 20th century,&#8221; critic David Fear <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-reviews/indiana-jones-and-the-dial-of-destiny-review-harrison-ford-phoebe-waller-bridge-cannes-nazis-james-mangold-1234736151/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>.
&#8220;Ford still has the fortitude to play the part. But just having him show up to crack whips and crack wise in the name of bringing back that old Indy thrills-spills-chills magic isn’t enough of an excuse to have him don the fedora one last time. &#8216;Things move forward,&#8217; one character tells Jones. &#8216;And sometimes, they move backward.&#8217; Someone may have turned the dial a little too much on the latter’s side this time around,&#8221; Fear added.
While the movie is big, the writing is small.

With a running time of nearly 2:30, reviewers said the $300 million movie is a bloated mess with endless chase scenes. &#8220;That nonstop pacing might sound ideal, but it’s mostly an exhausting slog,&#8221; David Rooney of The Hollywood Reporter <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-reviews/indiana-jones-and-the-dial-of-destiny-review-harrison-ford-james-mangold-1235495914/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>.
And so much phony CGI. &#8220;Part of what dims the enjoyment of this concluding chapter is just how glaringly fake so much of it looks,&#8221; Rooney wrote.
Maybe the filmmakers should have stopped at four installments. While some reviews said Ford still has his trademark swagger, one reviewer wrote: &#8220;I&#8217;m not sure how many fans want to see Indiana Jones as a broken, helpless old man who cowers in the corner while his patronising goddaughter takes the lead, but that&#8217;s what we&#8217;re given, and it&#8217;s as bleak as it sounds.&#8221;

At the Palais in France on Thursday night, the star-studded audience gave the 80-year-old actor a five-minute standing ovation after the final credits rolled on the film, the <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/indiana-jones-cannes-premiere-harrison-ford-phoebe-waller-bridge-1235494757/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hollywood Reporter</a> reported.
During the ovation, video showed <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/al-pacino-talks-about-that-role-he-regrets-turning-down-takes-dig-at-harrison-ford" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ford&#8217;s</a> eyes watering up as he blew kisses and gave a thumbs-up to the group.

Ahead of the screening, a highlight reel of Ford&#8217;s extensive career in Hollywood was shown that included clips from such films as &#8220;Star Wars,&#8221; &#8220;Blade Runner,&#8221; &#8220;Working Girl,&#8221; and the other &#8220;Indiana Jones&#8221; movies. It brought another round of applause from the audience.

Speaking to the room afterward, Ford said, &#8220;They say when you&#8217;re about to die you see your life flash before your eyes, and I just saw my life flash before my eyes — a great part of my life but not all of my life.&#8221;
&#8220;My life has been enabled by my lovely wife, who has supported my passion and my dreams, and I&#8217;m grateful,&#8221; he added, recognizing his wife actress Calista Flockhart.
He then turned his focus on the audience and said, &#8220;I love you, too.&#8221;

&#8220;Thank you,&#8221; he added. &#8220;You&#8217;ve given my life purpose and meaning, and I&#8217;m grateful for that. So grateful to have the opportunity to work with artists like Jim, Phoebe, even Mads.&#8221;
Technology was used in the film to de-age <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-little-spooky-harrison-ford-80-reacts-to-de-aging-scene-in-new-indiana-jones-5-movie" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ford</a> for the opening scene, a move the actor recently called &#8220;a little spooky&#8221; because of how realistic it looks.
&#8220;They have this artificial intelligence program that can go through every foot of film that Lucasfilm owns,&#8221; <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/ai-has-keanu-reeves-harrison-ford-elon-musks-ex-girlfriend-grimes-at-odds-over-use" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ford said</a>. &#8220;I did a bunch of movies for them. They have all this footage, including film that wasn&#8217;t printed. So they can mine it from where the light is coming from, from the expression. I don&#8217;t know how they do it. But that&#8217;s my actual face. Then I put little dots on my face, and I say the words, and they make [it]. It&#8217;s fantastic.&#8221;
&#8220;Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny&#8221; will release in the U.S. on Friday, June 30.
Ford and Flockhart tied the knot in 2010, and they share a son together. The &#8220;Star Wars&#8221; star has four other kids from two previous marriages.
