<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/halsey"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Halsey</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> shared a personal essay about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/abortion">abortion</a> which seemed to suggest that she would have died without getting one.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 27-year-old “Without Me” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music">singer</a> penned the article for </span><a href="https://www.vogue.com/article/my-abortion-saved-my-life-roe-v-wade-halsey"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Vogue</span></a> this month<span style="font-weight: 400;">. Like many other abortion activists, Halsey conflates procedures following a miscarriage with abortion and insinuates that those medical procedures would be outlawed following </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Roe v. Wade</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> being overturned. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Daily Wire already <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dont-believe-pro-abortion-misinformation-what-to-know-about-ectopic-pregnancy-miscarriage-and-more">debunked these claims</a> in depth. Abortion is the direct and intentional killing of an unborn child, while miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy treatments, and procedures done post-miscarriage do not qualify as abortion.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Halsey, who uses she/they pronouns, welcomed a baby named Ender in July 2021 with boyfriend Alev Aydin. The Vogue essay addressed the singer’s journey to motherhood, including receiving a procedure following a miscarriage.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I miscarried three times before my 24th birthday. It seemed a cruel irony that I could get pregnant with ease but struggled to maintain a pregnancy,” Halsey shared with the publication. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“One of my miscarriages required ‘aftercare,’ a gentle way of saying that I would need an abortion, because my body could not terminate the pregnancy completely on its own and I would risk going into sepsis without medical intervention. During this procedure, I cried. I was afraid for myself and I was helpless. I was desperate to end the pregnancy that was threatening my life,” Halsey continued.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“How funny that while my own heart would amount to nothing more than a series of involuntary movements on an operating table, a beating heart in my womb could mean I couldn’t consent to saving my own life,” the “So Good” singer wrote in the essay.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“This is what some people who wish to see the end of abortion rights believe is right. Many people have asked me if, since carrying a child to term after years of struggling to do so, I have reconsidered my stance on abortion. The answer is firmly no. In fact, I have never felt more strongly about it,” she wrote. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Halsey stated, “My abortion saved my life and gave way for my son to have his. Every person deserves the right to choose when, if, and how they have this dangerous and life-altering experience. I will hold my son in one arm, and fight with all my might with the other.”</span></p>

Someone captured a stage crew member kicking a rodent off the stage, which some fans first identified as a rat but was later said to be a squirrel. <p>&#8220;Basically, I have a song that I love that I want to release ASAP, but my record label won&#8217;t let me,&#8221; the 27-year-old singer shared in a clip posted on social media.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been in this industry for eight years and I&#8217;ve sold over 165 million records and my record company is saying I can&#8217;t release [the song] unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok,&#8221; the singer added.</p>

I don’t personally feel like I’m at the point in my life where I’m prepared to identify that way&#8230;Will that change? Possibly. I don’t know. But I’ve never felt any reason to change the way that I refer to my gender identity.”</p>
<p>Halsey also recently announced that she is pregnant and has documented her pregnancy journey on social media. The singer previously experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage and health problems like endometriosis.</p>

<p>In 2019, she released the song &#8220;Nightmare&#8221; shortly after &#8220;Alabama lawmakers passed the most restrictive abortion bill in the country,&#8221; according to <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/halsey-angry-anthem-alabama-abortion-twitter-reacts-1428903">Newsweek</a>.</p>
<p>In the days leading up to the song&#8217;s release, Alabama&#8217;s new law banning abortion in almost all cases was drawing strong reactions from Americans across the country. The law offers no exceptions for cases of rape or incest and applies to all stages of pregnancy.</p>
<p>One fan on Twitter said it was time for an &#8220;angry anthem.&#8221; The lyrics largely centered on female empowerment:</p>

<p>Model Chrissy Teigen&#8217;s abortion views were recently scrutinized following her miscarriage in which she referred to her unborn son as a &#8220;little guy&#8221; in her belly.</p>
<p>“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” Teigen said in a post at the time. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”</p>
<p>“We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital,” she explained. “But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”</p>
<p>Teigen addressed the child directly, saying that she and John Legend will always love him.</p>
<p>“I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you,” she said.</p>
