Actress Gwyneth Paltrow revealed some details about her political affiliation, describing herself as a &#8220;centrist,&#8221; but acknowledging that her leftist husband disagrees.
The 53-year-old &#8220;Marty Supreme&#8221; star discussed the topic during a recent episode of her &#8220;goop Podcast.”
&#8220;He&#8217;s so progressive,&#8221; Paltrow said of her writer/producer husband Brad Falchuk, whom she married in 2018. &#8220;I&#8217;m pretty centrist, and my husband thinks I&#8217;m a Republican… which, I&#8217;m not a Republican. I don&#8217;t feel anything right now, to be totally honest with you. I feel like I&#8217;m completely an independent.&#8221;
The actress was talking with defense technology company founder Trae Stephens at the time, who was arguing in favor of mandatory civil service in the United States, and said, &#8220;We&#8217;re all getting so tribal&#8221; in politics.
Paltrow said she agreed. She also added that her husband &#8220;has such a sweet heart, and he wants to make sure everybody&#8217;s looked after.” But she still finds herself disagreeing with him.

&#8220;It is very triggering for people,&#8221; she said. &#8220;It&#8217;s become so binary, I think. I am trying to, in my journey through being an American right now, I guess sort of weave together lots of different points of view, and also to get out of that place of, like, righteousness and anger and fear.&#8221;
Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro <a href="https://www.facebook.com/DailyWire/videos/gwyneth-paltrow-husband-thinks-she-is-a-republican/1656325605643979/">reacted</a> to the clip, saying Paltrow is only considered Republican because she’s “not a psycho.”
“Just because she’s not mimicking the most crazy excesses of the Left, this now means she’s a Republican. This is the Elon Musk chart in real life,” Shapiro added, referencing a viral chart the Tesla founder shared showing how far to the Left the Democratic party has shifted over the years.
The actress has hosted Democratic fundraisers in her home, including one for Pete Buttigieg in 2019. Former President Barack Obama showed up at one of Paltrow’s fundraisers in 2014.
However, she also admitted to being &#8220;open-minded about everybody.” This included Paltrow listening to a podcast featuring HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
&#8220;It was very interesting to hear his point of view,&#8221; she said at the time.
Paltrow was also speculative rather than furious after Trump won the 2016 presidential election. “It’s such an exciting time to be an American because we are at this amazing inflection point,” the Oscar-winning actress said at the time, per <a href="https://pagesix.com/2016/11/19/xanax-and-booze-make-travel-better-for-gwyneth/">Page Six</a>.
“People are clearly tired of the status quo, and … it’s sort of like someone threw it all in the air and we’re going to see how it all lands. It’s very important for me, personally, now more than ever, to create a community and to remember the humanity of everybody and to create love and … understanding.”
“The most amazing thing for me about this election is I felt … ‘I don’t understand the opposition well enough at all.’ I’m not going to tell you what side I’m on, but my big takeaway was, ‘I really need to open my mind and understand better because I don’t,’” Paltrow concluded.

Kristin Cabot, the woman who went viral over the summer after being caught in an intimate moment with her boss Andrew Byron on the kiss cam at a Coldplay concert, has some harsh words for Gwyneth Paltrow.
The former HR exec gave multiple interviews this week and went over some details about the event and aftermath. Cabot was shocked at the level of public outrage over her alleged infidelity, and seemed especially offended that Paltrow joined in the fray.
&#8220;I was such a fan of her company [Goop], which seemed to be about uplifting women,” Cabot told The Times U.K. “And then she did this. I thought, ‘How dare she after the beating she got for all the conscious uncoupling stuff.’ What a hypocrite.”
Cabot said she got rid of all her Goop products as a form of protest.
The former Astronomer employee was referring to Paltrow’s relationship with her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and how she referenced their separation using unique terminology.
Cabot also made other revelations during the interviews, including insisting that it was her first time ever kissing her former boss and claiming that their relationship was never sexual. The New Hampshire native also revealed that her then-husband, Andrew Cabot, was at the infamous concert. He said in a statement that the couple was estranged at the time of the incident.
Both Cabot and Byron left their positions at the tech company in the wake of the scandal.

Paltrow <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/astronomer-hires-gwyneth-paltrow-to-be-temporary-spokesperson-after-kiss-cam-drama">put out a commercial</a> for the company just days after the kiss cam drama blew up on social media. “I’ve been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer,” the &#8220;Avengers: Endgame&#8221; actress said in the video.
“We’ve been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation,” she went on, poking fun at how the company had gone viral overnight.
Astronomer became a household name after Cabot, the former Chief People Officer for the company, was spotted embracing the CEO. After getting caught on the kiss cam, the two quickly stepped away from each other and out of frame after realizing they were being broadcast to the entire stadium at the July 16 Coldplay show in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
That moment became a pop culture sensation and led to multiple spoofs on social media and at professional sporting events.

Gwyneth Paltrow had some fun with rumors that she&#8217;s been feuding with Meghan Markle, and posted a video featuring the two ladies visiting together.
It started when social media users thought a video Paltrow posted of herself in her kitchen cooking with no makeup on was a subtle dig at Markle’s new lifestyle Netflix series &#8220;With Love, Meghan.” Markle has faced criticism and dismal reviews that have panned the royal’s show as a disaster and pointless.
She captioned it, “My cleaner take on a classic breakfast: gluten-free buttermilk biscuits, not-so-perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, and crispy bacon<a href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/boyfriendbreakfast/"> #boyfriendbreakfast</a>.”
In response fans wrote things like, &#8220;Love this. No fake house, fake kitchen, fake hair extensions, fake friends just your beautiful true self. Following all the online chatter about the two being involved in some kind of feud, the “Goop” founder posted a video on her Instagram Stories, answering one fan&#8217;s question that read, “Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?”
In the clip, Paltrow said, “I genuinely do not understand this, at all whatsoever. Do you understand this?”
She then pans the camera over to a person sitting there with her — and it&#8217;s the Duchess of Sussex, eating some pie. In response, she just shrugs her shoulders, smirks, and appears to start laughing.
The online rumors followed an interview the Marvel star did recently with <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/story/gwyneth-paltrow-2025-interview">Vanity Fair</a> when she was asked if she knew her royal Montecito neighbors.
&#8220;I don’t know Meghan and [Prince]Harry,&#8221; the actress said. &#8220;I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all. Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.&#8221;
She was also pressed about Markle’s lifestyle series, and as someone who found her way into that lane after her acting career with her “Goop” brand, Paltrow said there was plenty of space.

Actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/gwyneth-paltrow">Gwyneth Paltrow</a> confirmed a rumor about former president <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bill-clinton">Bill Clinton</a> falling asleep — and snoring — at the premiere of her period comedy film, “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/movies">Emma</a>” back in 1996.
The 51-year-old actress said the rumor was true during a recent appearance on the “Hot Ones” YouTube talk show where celebrity guests answer questions while consuming spicy chicken wings, per <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/gwyneth-paltrow-bill-clinton-emma-b2517000.html">The Independent</a>.
Host Sean Evans asked Paltrow if the story about Clinton was factual. She replied, “True – he was snoring right in front of me.”
Paltrow quipped, “I was like, ‘Wow, I guess this is going to be a real hit movie.’ But it was! So f*** you, Bill Clinton!”
Despite the former president’s reaction, “Emma,” based on the 1815 novel of the same name by Jane Austen, was a commercial success. It earned nearly $40 million worldwide after being made on an $8 million budget.
“Emma” has an 84% critics rating and 76% audience score on <a href="https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1073316-emma">Rotten Tomatoes</a>. Paltrow was praised for her performance, with reviewer Ken Eisner from Variety writing at the time, &#8220;Gwyneth Paltrow shines brightly as Jane Austen&#8217;s most endearing character, the disastrously self-assured matchmaker Emma Woodhouse. A fine cast, speedy pacing and playful direction make this a solid contender for the Austen sweepstakes.&#8221;

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tiktok" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TikTok</a> video promotes the company Seed, which markets probiotic capsules for adults, teens, and kids. The original video has since been deleted.
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities" target="_blank" rel="noopener">actress</a> begins the promo while sitting in her kitchen, about to swallow a large green pill. &#8220;So this is a twenty-four strain probiotic—&#8221; she begins, but then is interrupted by a loud sound from somewhere else in the room.
Seemingly undeterred by the commotion, Paltrow plows ahead, saying, &#8220;Not the kind that you find in yogurt and stuff like that.&#8221; She doesn’t raise her voice, making it difficult to hear what she’s saying over the noise.

&#8220;Part of me hopes she actually gave them a polished, professional take but they just chose this from the discard pile because they knew I would love it,&#8221; one account posted.
&#8220;I only saw this ad because people are mocking it so maybe it was the best thing for them,&#8221; another admitted.

According to data compiled by Seattle-based cannabis analytics provider Headset, Paltrow&#8217;s Cann Social Tonics leads the pack for median monthly sales per brand in California for the first quarter of 2023.

Cann earned $751,760 in monthly sales with an average item price of $19.56. To put that into perspective, Rogen&#8217;s Houseplant earned $377,193 in monthly sales, with a higher item price of $53.29. Another celebrity-backed brand, country legend Willie Nelson&#8217;s Willie&#8217;s Reserve, sits at the bottom of the list, earning $2,762 with an item cost of $21.27.
The research found that celebrity brands tend to be more affordable for cannabis buyers compared to traditional cannabis brands, Headset data noted. In comparison, the conventional brands earned $26,591 with an item price of $23.14 per item.
&#8220;From my perspective, a number of celebrity-affiliated brands have been able to find success relative to the typical California cannabis brand,&#8221; Headset data analyst Mitchell Laferla told MJBizDaily.
Cann is backed by Paltrow and endorsed by a list of other stars, influencers, and professional athletes, the report noted.
The Paltrow-backed brand associates itself with &#8220;mainstream&#8221; celebrities not known for cannabis use.

“Gwyneth vs Terry: The Ski Crash Trial,” will be released on Discovery+. It will detail how the Academy Award-winning actress engaged in a legal battle against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, according to <a href="https://variety.com/2023/tv/global/gwyneth-vs-terry-the-ski-crash-trial-documentary-warner-bros-discovery-u-k-1235667942/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety</a>.
The project comes courtesy of Optomen, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">production company</a> responsible for “Johnny vs Amber” and “Kim vs Kanye: The Divorce.”
The two-part documentary will be available later in 2023.
Paltrow’s trial dominated headlines earlier in the year when Sanderson accused Gwyneth, 50, of colliding with him during a 2016 ski crash in Utah. The plaintiff claimed that the incident left him with lasting brain damage.
Sanderson claimed he suffered a “permanent traumatic brain injury, four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and disfigurement,” and that Paltrow “got up, turned and skied away,” leaving him “stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured” without calling for help, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gwyneth-paltrow-mocked-for-trial-statement-well-we-lost-half-a-day-of-skiing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
One line that went viral at the trial was Paltrow responding to a question about any losses she suffered from the accident. Paltrow said, “Well, we lost half a day of skiing.”
The actress was found not guilty of wrongdoing, with jurors finding Sanderson, 76, to blame for the crash. The jury returned their verdict in just two hours and 20 minutes. The decision meant Sanderson had to pay Paltrow a symbolic $1 in damages and Paltrow&#8217;s legal costs, which could have been hundreds of thousands of dollars.

“I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity,” Paltrow said of the decision. “I am pleased with the outcome and I appreciate all of the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury, and thank them for their thoughtfulness in handling this case.”

A jury has decided that Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow is not responsible for a retired optometrist’s injuries caused in a 2016 ski collision in Utah.
To the contrary, jurors decided that it was the optometrist, Terry Sanderson, who was at fault in collision, and accepted Paltrow&#8217;s countersuit demand of $1 in damages. The trial began on March 21, with jurors going into deliberations on March 30. It took just three hours for the jury to return their verdict.
Sanderson claimed that the actress was skiing behind him on the slope and had turned to watch her children before, as his attorney said in court Tuesday, “she turns her head back down, she screams, then skis into the back of Terry Sanderson.” Sanderson’s attorney, Lawrence Buhler, said that after the collision, his client was left “facedown in the snow, unconscious,” <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2023/03/21/gwyneth-paltrow-ski-trial/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to The Washington Post</a>. After the encounter, Paltrow allegedly fled, leaving Sanderson “stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured,” according to his lawsuit. Paltrow didn’t call for help, he added.
Sanderson later went to an emergency room and was diagnosed with a concussion and four broken ribs. Sanderson’s ski companion, Craig Ramon, testified at the civil trial that he saw Paltrow crash into Sanderson and knock him over.
“I hear this scream and then I see this skier just slam into the back of Terry,” Ramon testified.

“She’s skiing, enjoying herself,” Owens said. “Suddenly she sees two skis appear between her skis. And a man comes up right behind her.”
Owens said that right after the crash, Sanderson asked, “Who ran into who?” and then apologized to Paltrow after she said that he ran into her. Paltrow’s defense team said members of her group checked on Sanderson after the accident and he said he was okay and said the same thing to a ski patrol member who came to check on them. The actress’ attorneys said Paltrow only skied away after Sanderson said he was okay and after ski patrol left and that the retired optometrist only sought help after he waved away ski patrol.
Owens said Ramon’s account of the incident was “a whole different, crazy story.” Owens argued that Sanderson didn’t know that Paltrow was involved at the time since she was wearing a helmet and goggles. But later, when he discovered who she was, he emailed his daughters, saying, “I’m famous.”

Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow is facing a lawsuit by a retired optometrist who claims she collided with him on a ski slope in 2016, causing permanent brain damage.
Paltrow’s attorneys were trying to open a link to documents containing messages between Terry Sanderson, the optometrist, and others involved in the trial, but apparently couldn’t figure out how to access the information earlier this week. But Michael Fletcher, who was watching the trial on Court TV, was able to view the link on TV and access the information contained within in “probably like two minutes,” sending it to Paltrow’s defense team, the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/03/28/viewer-who-accessed-group-chat-in-paltrow-case-says-opening-link-was-just-common-sense/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
“It’s comical how easy it was,” Fletcher <a href="https://www.courttv.com/title/viewer-who-uncovered-group-chat-in-gwyneth-paltrow-ski-crash-case-speaks-to-court-tv/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Court TV when the outlet interviewed him. “They kept repeating that it’s the most important piece of evidence, and they couldn’t figure it out. They had no idea how to open the link.”
Paltrow’s attorneys reportedly asked Sanderson’s daughters about GoPro camera footage of the incident that occurred on February 26, 2016, on a beginner’s slope at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, a resort town known for hosting the Sundance Film Festival.
Fletcher was able to access the information sent to Paltrow’s attorneys, which included messages from a man named Craig Ramon, who says he was the only person who witnessed the collision between Paltrow and Sanderson.
Sanderson has claimed that neither he nor those close to him knew that Paltrow was the other skier involved in the accident until sometime later, but Ramon’s messages make clear that he immediately knew Paltrow was involved.
“You could not make this up. Gwyneth took out Terry last week,” Ramon wrote in the messages uncovered by Fletcher. “Last Saturday, her son broke his arm skiing at Park City. Gwyneth was staying at the Montage. She took her plane out of Millionaire Airport. What makes me mad is Gwyneth took out Terry and then took off.”
The messages also reportedly showed that Sanderson and his friends also knew early on that Paltrow was the woman on the slope.

Fletcher said that all he needed to do to open the link that baffled attorneys was to log in to the website where it was hosted.
“Like, I can’t believe they didn’t do this already. It’s almost a joke,” he told Court TV. “All I did was create a login for the website. If it’s a website that requires a login, you can’t access anything on it without a login … then the link works. It’s simple.”

“White Chicks” star Busy Philipps and actress Jen Tullock responded on Instagram by posting Paltrow’s statement with a photo of the two women holding drinks.
Another critic referenced the “vagina candles” Paltrow’s Goop company produced, snapping, “Half a day of skiing that she will never get back! How many vagina candles did that cost her?!?!”
That was echoed by another critic, who wrote, “&#8217;Well, I lost half a day of skiing…&#8217; —Gwyneth Paltrow 😂 I mean, this whole ‘trial’ is bat-shit crazy. Makes me kinda miss the vagina candle and the $12K vibrator.”
The &#8220;lawsuit is completely without merit &#8230; anyone who reads the facts will realize that,&#8221; a representative for Paltrow has responded to the lawsuit. Paltrow filed a countersuit, asking for $1 and the costs of her legal expenses if she won.
Paltrow has called the lawsuit — which states that Deer Valley ski instructor Eric Christiansen didn’t see the incident but blamed Sanderson for the accident and filed a false report to buttress Paltrow’s version of events —  “a meritless claim” and “an attempt to exploit her celebrity and wealth.” She has stated that she “remembers what happened very clearly.”

An acquaintance of Sanderson’s, Craig Ramon, claimed he saw the incident and Paltrow “landed right on top of him, and then she slides off to the side.” Paltrow “didn’t say a single word,” Ramon claimed, adding that she did not seek help.
Last July, Paltrow, who has made tens of millions of dollars with her lifestyle company Goop, explained the meaning behind Goop’s candle named “This Smells Like My Vagina.”

“I don’t want to seem like I’m beating up on a kindly old man,” Owens added, “but keep in mind we have to do this because they’ve said Gwyneth owes me $3 million.”
Paltrow has filed a counterclaim against Sanderson, seeking a symbolic $1 in damages, as well as attorney fees. Paltrow has called Sanderson’s lawsuit a “meritless claim” and “an attempt to exploit her celebrity and wealth.”
