“You would see her out at the red chairs if there was a production meeting or whatever and I feel like I got to know Pharrell [Williams] more that year than I did Gwen,&#8221; Shelton said of her first year on the show. &#8220;It wasn&#8217;t until the season she came back, the next one, that the pieces were falling together.”
When asked what he would like the future to look like, he said a “repeat of these past 10 years” would be “perfect.”

&#8220;Next month, we&#8217;ve got an 18-year-old, which it blows my mind that already happened,” Shelton said. “And in a couple of years, we&#8217;ll have another 18-year-old. And that&#8217;s &#8230; it&#8217;s gonna be I guess a lot more alone time, which I&#8217;m not mad about that either.&#8221;

“He [Shelton’s father] took Richie on and raised him from the time he was 1 year old, and my brother never thought of my dad as anything other than his dad,&#8221; Shelton said at the time.
&#8220;The example that my dad set for me was that [child] was not even a consideration [in a romantic partnership],” he added. “You got three boys? Awesome! My dad did it. My dad raised me. Bush frontman <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Gavin Rossdale</a> is reflecting on his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/divorce">divorce</a> from fellow recording artist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/gwen-stefani">Gwen Stefani</a>, saying he mostly feels badly about how it’s affected his children.
The 58-year-old rocker discussed his feelings during a recent episode of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes&#8217; podcast “Amy and T.J,” per <a href="https://ew.com/gavin-rossdale-reflects-on-debilitating-gwen-stefani-divorce-8613067">Entertainment Weekly</a>.
“My parents were both married three times each — so very colorful background,&#8221; Rossdale said. “And so I never thought I&#8217;d ever get divorced. So if there&#8217;s a simple shame in my life, it&#8217;s that.”
Despite not being happy about having a divorce in his past, the lead singer also said be believes there are “no accidents” in life.
&#8220;Life just unfolds how it should,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;And whether that&#8217;s comfortable or uncomfortable, it just is what it is. It&#8217;s an easier philosophy to live by ‘cause it means you don&#8217;t sit in regret.&#8221;
Rossdale married Stefani in 2002. Stefani filed for divorce in 2015, citing irreconcilable differences. It’s widely believed that Rossdale had an affair with the couple’s nanny, Mindy Mann, but the rock star has never confirmed that information publicly.
The former couple shares three children together: Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10.

Rossdale related the situation back to his own childhood. &#8220;It wasn&#8217;t fun for me to be from a broken home. I think in a way it gave me a career. So I don&#8217;t mind because I turned it around to sort of an interesting career path. But it can be quite debilitating for kids.&#8221;
The singer also referenced Stefani’s relationship with country singer Blake Shelton. The two were married in 2021.
&#8220;I go to a lot of events where there&#8217;s the other team, so to speak,&#8221; he said, &#8220;and I just feel really proud of myself in my consistency as a father. I know in my heart that I&#8217;m super consistent. Yeah, of course, like everyone I&#8217;m flawed as hell and things didn&#8217;t go as perfect as I would have liked.&#8221;

She recently opened up to <a href="https://people.com/gwen-stefani-gets-candid-rock-stardom-motherhood-blake-shelton-cover-story-exclusive-7974935">People</a> about how she’s been adjusting to a more rustic life on the ranch.
&#8220;I am not really a dirt person, a bug person, I don&#8217;t like that much humidity,&#8221; Stefani told the outlet. &#8220;But it&#8217;s so beautiful [in Oklahoma], and you kind of feel like you&#8217;re going into this vortex. Nature — and God — is all right there.&#8221;
The mom of three also said how she never expected to be living this sort of life. &#8220;When I was young, I&#8217;d walk home from school and see my mom in her shorts doing her gardening, and my dad would be cutting the trees and make me pick up the branches. &#8220;And then, because of COVID, I didn&#8217;t want to walk away from the show and leave everybody in a bind,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I mean, this show changed my life. I&#8217;ll stay here until the world kind of gets back to normal again.&#8221;
The &#8220;Red River Blue&#8221; star said the show not only changed his life professionally but personally as well, noting that it&#8217;s where he met his wife, singer Gwen Stefani.
&#8220;I met my wife on this show,&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/blake-shelton-will-give-up-being-on-the-voice-to-focus-on-raising-children-with-gwen-stefani">Shelton</a> shared. &#8220;It&#8217;s changed my life in every way it possibly can, from a personal standpoint.&#8221;
&#8220;When I came on as a coach on this show, I mean, everything in my life was turned upside down,&#8221; he added. &#8220;And in a good way, you know? This has been incredible, but it&#8217;s time, you know. It&#8217;s time for not even what&#8217;s next. A little bit of nothing would be nice.&#8221;
In 2011, the country star joined the reality series when it first launched. Three years later Stefani would become a judge. At the time the two met, both were married to other people. The pair then went through separate divorces and in 2015, Shelton and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/report-gwen-stefani-blake-shelton-holding-marriage-until-annulment-catholic-faith-extremely-important-to-her">Stefani</a> started dating.
They made headlines when they got engaged in October 2020 and again when they finally tied the knot at an intimate ceremony in July 2021.
In October 2022, Blake said it was time to share the news he&#8217;d been grappling with for a while about leaving &#8220;The Voice,&#8221; the outlet <a href="https://www.today.com/popculture/tv/blake-shelton-leaving-voice-season-23-rcna51798">noted</a>.
&#8220;I&#8217;ve been wrestling with this for a while and I&#8217;ve decided that it&#8217;s time for me to step away from &#8216;The Voice&#8217; after Season 23,&#8221; Shelton wrote. &#8220;This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me. It&#8217;s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns and I want to thank everyone at &#8216;The Voice&#8217; from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you are the best.&#8221;
