<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/greg-gutfeld">Greg Gutfeld</a> labeled the media&#8217;s “lockstep anti-Trumpism” one of the “most destructive” movements of the last decade, making it clear that in his mind, “wokism” was not the only one.
In a rather lengthy piece he dropped Tuesday on <a href="https://x.com/greggutfeld/status/1874117618249957480">X</a>, the Fox News host wrote that when a person looks back at the “horrible decisions” made in the last ten years related to things like crime/illegal immigration chaos, COVID, and even the mental competence of President Joe Biden, they need not look further than how it was all “excused or denied” by the legacy media to justify their “irrational opposition” to President-elect Donald Trump.
“Crime. If you admitted that progressive policies energized criminality and cost many innocent lives &#8211; that would put you on the side of Trump,” Gutfeld wrote for one of his examples. “‘So, you can&#8217;t do that,’ decides the media, so theft and violence became routine. Recidivism exploded.”
“Immigration. If you admitted that unfettered illegal immigration stressed all our country&#8217;s systems, as well as introducing more violent crime — that would put you on the side of Trump,” he added. “‘You can&#8217;t do that,’ decides the media. So, it kept going, and people died.”

“COVID. If you admitted that COVID came from China, likely a lab leak — then you were on the side of Trump,” Gutfeld continued. “‘So you [can&#8217;t] do that either — that would be racist,’ said the media. Instead, we embraced absurd notions about bat soup.”
Gutfeld pointed out that if a person reported on the idea that Biden “was unfit for office” that was just another example that “you were siding with Trump.”
He said those in the media decided that reports “must say that Joe is better than ever, and those who disagree are cruel,” which resulted in “a rudderless country sinking in chaos.”
“Looking back — it&#8217;s obvious. A mass delusion driven by bitterness, ego and an emotional infantilism brought this country to the brink,” the Fox News host said. “So when the media starts hitting the panic button, laugh at them. They caused this mess. We&#8217;ll clean it up. They no longer matter.”

Hollywood filmmaker and actress <a href="https://x.com/JustineBateman/status/1866168009007521934">Justine Bateman</a> said the verdict was proof of a return to “common sense” in our country. “I think the main reason this trial came to light was to show us that we are in a new era in the judicial system.”
Their comments were similar to others like British broadcaster <a href="https://x.com/piersmorgan/status/1866167478122140090">Piers Morgan</a> who wrote on X, “BREAKING: Daniel Penny is cleared. Justice for a hero. Shocking that this ever came to court.

Daniel Penny did nothing wrong, you lunatics.”
On Friday, the jury indicated it was deadlocked over the manslaughter charge, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jury-in-daniel-penny-trial-says-theyre-deadlocked-over-manslaughter-charge">reported</a> at the time. The manslaughter charge was eventually dropped allowing the jury to deliberate on the lesser charge in an effort <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/heres-why-the-state-dropped-top-charge-in-daniel-penny-case-and-why-defense-is-calling-foul">to find a guilty verdict</a>. When the Jury returned to work on Monday, it took them less than an hour to return a not guilty verdict.

Tyrus then painted a picture of the moments after &#8220;Gutfeld!&#8221; had wrapped the night they both appeared on the show together.

But it wasn&#8217;t just the fact that Trump took the time to talk to his daughter, Tyrus said, noting that just how attentive he had been was something else entirely.
&#8220;If nobody knew, you could have been her grandfather,&#8221; Tyrus exclaimed, adding, &#8220;You were talking about her horses and dreams. And I was sitting there and I was like &#8216;I have been so wrong about this man&#8217; because I never understood why you fight the way you fight. You&#8217;re a family man.&#8221;
&#8220;I am,&#8221; Trump agreed.
&#8220;You&#8217;re a father,&#8221; Tyrus said.
&#8220;And your daughter is a gorgeous — and your wife, the whole thing, you have got some set-up, I&#8217;ll tell you,&#8221; Trump said, prompting a laugh from Tyrus. &#8220;But your family&#8217;s great and you&#8217;re great, and you&#8217;ve really done something. Fox News&#8217; “Gutfeld!” show scored its highest ratings in the program’s history when former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> stopped by this week for the entire show.
On Wednesday night, Trump made a guest appearance on the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/greg-gutfeld" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Greg Gutfeld</a> talk show alongside regulars like Kat Timpf and Tyrus, where it averaged 4.9 million total viewers, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/gutfeld-draws-largest-audience-program-history-trump-appearance">Fox News</a> reported.
In the coveted age demographic of 25-54, the same hour had 744,000 viewers, the outlet noted. It was the program’s largest audience in both the key demo and total viewers since its launch in 2021.
Trump’s appearance was not only the largest on “Gutfeld!,” but also the show’s total viewership was the biggest in all of cable and broadcast primetime, beating out ABC’s &#8220;The Golden Bachelorette” and CBS’ &#8220;Survivor.”

“Yeah, it’s true,” Trump said. “It’s pretty sad.”
“If they had told you that the shooter was there, would you have tried to take him out with your 3 wood?” Gutfeld later asked Trump.
“I think so,” Trump responded. “If I knew. Actually, the Secret Service did a great job. They saw the barrel of a gun &#8212; big gun &#8212; and it came out through bushes. And how many people would see that? He really was exceptional to have done it.”
During Trump’s appearance, the president also reacted to clips of celebrities slamming him in a segment titled, “Celebs can’t quit Donald Trump.” In one clip, Gutfeld played radio shock jock Howard Stern, who made news this week when he said that he didn’t hate Trump, just those who vote for the former president.
Trump then replied, “Well I watch and know most of them,” noting his long history of being on Stern’s show for a big part of the radio host’s career. “He [Stern] was great at that time, then he went woke.”
The former president’s appearance was his first on broadcast or cable late-night during an election cycle since 2016 when he was on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the outlet noted.

On Wednesday, during Trump’s appearance on Fox News&#8217; “<a href="https://x.com/C_N_F__on__X/status/1836783605827228128">Gutfeld</a>” show, host Greg Gutfeld introduced a segment called “Celebs can’t quit Donald Trump.&#8221; It included clips from “Jimmy Kimmel Live” when Clooney admitted he thought that Trump might use the “power of the government” against him, but was “comforted in the fact that” Trump’s coming after Kimmel first.
Kimmel also read a post from <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4765706-donald-trump-george-clooney-joe-biden-withdraw-reelection-bid-2024/">Trump</a> in July in which he told Clooney to “get out of politics” and “go back to television.” On the show Tuesday, Clooney replied, “I will if he does.” Trump’s original post came after the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/george-clooney-joins-chorus-of-stars-telling-biden-its-time-to-drop-out-of-race">63-year-old actor</a> took out an op-ed calling on President Joe Biden to drop out of the race following Biden’s disastrous presidential debate against Trump.

Gutfeld noted the last clip “didn’t age well&#8221; for Kimmel or Combs, the latter of whom is currently in the news after being denied bail for a second time after being arraigned on racketeering and sex trafficking charges with the release of a New York grand jury indictment.
The host then asked Trump about the hatred he faces from celebs and shared that his theory is that stars like Clooney and Stern feel that way because the former president “puts their fame into the proper perspective when it’s dwarfed by somebody with more fame.&#8221;
“Well I watch and know most of them,” Trump said, noting his long history of being on Stern’s show for a big part of the radio host’s career. “He [Stern] was great at that time, then he went woke.”
“And since he’s gone woke, his ratings have gone down the tube,” he added. “And he sort of went anti-Trump for a couple of reasons … but he’s changed and he doesn’t do the ratings anymore.”

Former President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he &#8220;wanted to be elegant&#8221; during his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris last week, but he now regrets not &#8220;going after&#8221; ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis.
Trump appeared on Fox News&#8217;s late-night show &#8220;<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/trump-says-regrets-not-going-after-abc-moderators-during-debate" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gutfeld!</a>&#8221; where he was asked about the legacy media&#8217;s bias against him. The Republican nominee pointed to the ABC debate and the moderators&#8217; numerous fact-checks against him as an example of the media treating him unfairly.
&#8220;I walked off that stage and thought I had the best debate, and I was very unfairly treated by the anchor. I&#8217;m not fans of those guys anymore, and you know, his hair was better five years ago,&#8221; Trump said referring to Muir.
Trump mentioned being fact-checked by Muir on rising crime rates, saying, &#8220;It turned out to be a false attack.&#8221; Muir cited FBI crime statistics to push back on Trump&#8217;s statement that crime rates across the country are rising. A DOJ report <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/09/13/us-news/violent-crime-has-increased-doj-report-says-after-david-muir-disputed-trumps-claim-that-crime-is-through-the-roof/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> just days after the debate, however, supported Trump&#8217;s claims, revealing that violent crime has spiked under the Biden-Harris administration.
Trump added that the moderators said nothing when Harris repeated the Left-wing lie about Trump&#8217;s Charlottesville comments.
&#8220;They didn&#8217;t correct her once, and they corrected me [on] everything I said practically — I think nine times or 11 times,&#8221; Trump said.

Conservatives blasted the ABC News moderators during and after the debate, arguing that the fact-checks on Trump and none on Harris put the former president in an impossible-to-win fight.
The former president argued that in the days following the debate, more people realized that it &#8220;was all word salad&#8221; from Harris, adding that no matter how well he debated, the legacy media would claim that Trump &#8220;was nothing special.&#8221;
&#8220;I had people telling me that I&#8217;m wrong about things when I&#8217;m totally right. I was right about just about all of that stuff, and they were correcting me,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And I think my only regret is that I wanted to be elegant, and I didn&#8217;t want to go after the anchors. Former President Donald Trump told Fox News host Greg Gutfeld that he’s only ever personally spoken with Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) — the Democratic Party’s vice presidential candidate — one time.
Trump explained during a Wednesday night appearance on “Gutfeld!” that Walz had called him during the George Floyd riots in 2020, asking for help when he found his home surrounded by protesters.

“Walz is a strange dude,” Gutfeld remarked, and when Trump agreed, Gutfeld continued, “Him and I are the same age. How does he look so much younger?”
“He’s a strange guy,” Trump repeated. “You know, he called up years ago, I was in the White House, and he said, ‘My house is being surrounded by people with American flags.’ I said, ‘Is that a good thing or a bad thing?’”

And they also like Trump — I said, ‘How do you know?’ … he said, ‘Could you put out a word, like that I&#8217;m your friend?’”
”I don’t even know him,” Trump said then, admitting that he had posted something nice about Walz then anyway just because he didn’t want to see anything bad happen to him.
“And if you look back long ago …” Trump said he had tweeted something about Walz being a good guy. “‘He’s a good man, the governor, he’s on our side,’ I don’t know him but I didn’t want him to get hurt. And everybody put down their flags and they left, and he said it was a miracle. I didn’t want him to get hurt.”
“Scared by the American flag,” Gutfeld joked.
Trump added that he had told Walz they weren’t going to be violent if they were carrying the American flag but that the governor had been nervous anyway.

A conversation between Fox News anchors Bret Baier, Martha MacCallum, and former President Donald Trump was abruptly cut off on Thursday night as the network cut to the beginning of Greg Gutfeld&#8217;s late-night show — so the former president called Gutfeld&#8217;s cell phone.
Trump was giving his response to Vice President Kamala Harris&#8217; Democratic National Convention speech when Baier and MacCallum told him they had to move the programming over to &#8220;Gutfeld!&#8221;.
&#8220;That wasn&#8217;t my fault, Donald Trump. He&#8217;s still talking by the way,&#8221; Gutfeld joked at the beginning of his show.
Moments later, Trump called the late-night Fox News host.

Legacy media outlets appear to have gotten the message — straight from the White House — on how to handle a rash of recent viral video clips that show an unflattering side of President Joe Biden looking lost, frail, or old.
The White House has repeatedly referred to these video clips — many of which were not edited and provided full context of the situation in which they were taken — as &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/white-house-complains-of-biden-cheap-fakes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cheap fakes</a>,&#8221; claiming that they were intentionally deceptive or promoting outright lies about President Biden and his mental state.
&#8220;They are done in bad faith. And some of your news organizations have, have been very clear, have stressed that these right-wing, the right-wing critics of the president have a credibility problem because of the fact-checkers have repeatedly caught them pushing misinformation, disinformation,&#8221; White House Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre complained during a recent briefing. &#8220;And so we see this, and this is something coming from your part of the world, calling them cheap fakes and misinformation.&#8221;
