The security of America’s power grid is under threat from the Chinese Communist Party and other foreign regimes who are pre-positioning energy devices they can sabotage from afar. Rapid state government action is needed to remove these technological threats that are already embedded in our electrical grid.
A <a href="https://www.striderintel.com/newsroom/strider-u-s-power-grid-exposed-to-unprecedented-risk-from-prc-made-equipment/">new report</a> from Strider Intelligence revealed that solar inverters feeding electricity into the U.S. power grid are overwhelmingly manufactured by Chinese companies tied to Beijing’s government and military. These devices are connected to the same networks that power America’s hospitals and defense installations, keep communications and water systems running, drive manufacturing and transportation, underpin the financial sector, and enable emerging technologies like AI and quantum computing.
The Chinese inverters are present at a scale far larger than previously understood. Nearly every utility surveyed by Strider, representing roughly 12% of national electricity generation, relies on Chinese inverters.
As Strider warns, without decisive intervention, “the Chinese government, through its control over [government-linked] firms and data networks, could exploit this access to manipulate or disrupt the U.S. grid in a crisis.” Because these inverters occupy critical control points and can be controlled remotely, they give Beijing a degree of proximity no foreign adversary should ever possess inside American infrastructure.
These vulnerabilities did not appear overnight. They grew out of decades of accelerated “green” energy expansion, during which time solar became the dominant source of new electricity across America. Much of the solar hardware came from companies with direct links to Chinese intelligence and military. Security concerns were ignored in the rush to scale renewables, resulting in American tax incentives and utility fees funding Chinese sabotage devices.
This outcome is in part the product of a successful CCP influence operation. China has long waged an insidious campaign to promote the “green” energy agenda to make the United States more dependent on their products. Research from State Armor revealed that <a href="https://statearmor.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/State-Armor-Who-is-Energy-Foundation-China-Report.pdf">Energy Foundation China</a>, a nonprofit supervised by the Chinese Communist Party, has quietly pushed tens of millions per year into U.S. universities and advocacy groups to push policies that deepen America’s reliance on Chinese technologies. Industrial ambition paired with political influence secured Beijing’s access to our infrastructure.
While federal action is needed, Washington’s response has been slow, disjointed, and largely blind to the scale of the threat. Many of the vulnerabilities sit in infrastructure overseen by the states. That is where the solutions must begin.
State leaders must completely block adversary-linked companies, nonprofits, and middlemen from critical infrastructure. Texas did so with the <a href="https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/87R/billtext/pdf/SB02116I.pdf">2021 Lone Star Critical Infrastructure Protection Act</a>, enacted to prevent a Chinese General from controlling the electrical grid near Laughlin Air Force Base. Entities tied to the CCP have no business inside the systems that power our grid, move our water, carry our data, or keep our transportation networks running.
States should also prohibit the installation of Chinese network-connected technologies that create <a href="https://www.congress.gov/119/meeting/house/118444/witnesses/HHRG-119-HM08-Wstate-GleasonN-20250722.pdf">remote access points and kill switches</a> inside critical systems. Strider’s findings confirm that many inverters and battery systems include built-in communication features that expose the grid to third parties without operator knowledge or consent.
State attorneys general should invoke existing consumer-protection, data-privacy, and deceptive trade practices laws to hold companies liable when they sell equipment that contains malware and kill switches. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton recently <a href="https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/attorney-general-ken-paxton-launches-investigation-use-ccp-aligned-tech-products-critical-state">opened an investigation</a> into Chinese Military Company CATL for battery systems that create grid vulnerabilities. <a href="https://ago.nebraska.gov/news/attorney-general-hilgers-sues-lorex-selling-cameras-put-nebraskans-security-risk">Nebraska Attorney General Hilgers</a> and <a href="https://www.myfloridalegal.com/newsrelease/attorney-general-james-uthmeier-issues-subpoena-lorex-consumer-protection-data-privacy">Florida Attorney General Uthmeier</a> have launched fraud lawsuits against Chinese camera systems that facilitate espionage and sabotage. Companies should be enjoined from selling dangerous devices, and the dollars recovered through successful fraud claims should go toward replacing insecure Chinese-connected hardware.
States have the authority to act now, long before Congress finishes arguing over what comes next. They can close the backdoors, cut off adversary-linked contractors, and replace the equipment that should never have been allowed into the grid in the first place.
America cannot secure its future while foreign adversaries secure control over our essential systems. China has spent years pre-positioning itself inside U.S. infrastructure through industrial dominance and political influence. The danger is already inside our systems. We can either treat this as the national security threat it is, or concede that our utilities will be regulated by China’s government instead of our own.

Governor Kathy Hochul’s administration recently blew nearly $500 million in potential savings for New York taxpayers by failing to move seniors to a federally funded Medicare plan. That’s half a billion dollars — gone — because Kathy Hochul couldn’t get her act together. That’s money that could have gone to tax relief, infrastructure, and keeping your utility bills lower.
When it comes to utility bills, National Grid customers in upstate New Yorker should brace themselves for a 15% increase in their bill starting next month. This amounts to about $216 more per customer per year, thanks to Governor Hochul’s green energy scam agenda. Likewise, Con Edison has proposed double-digit rate increases that will raise costs for downstate residents, driving up their utility bills as early as January 2026.
And that’s just the average cost increases. Many families and small businesses will be paying far more at a time when they are already struggling and can’t afford any more increases in their cost of living and doing business.
These increases are not a reflection of market forces or a sudden spike in demand, rather, they are a direct result of action by the governor’s Public Service Commission, which Hochul controls. This board approved the increases to fund her ambitious climate mandates. It’s typical of Albany: self-righteous politicians pushing you to “do your part” by paying more, even when you’re already struggling.
Why are these things happening? For starters, Kathy Hochul is incompetent and instead of addressing these problems and protecting you, she prioritizes politics. Currently, she’s focused on her crusade to illegally gerrymander New York’s congressional map – a scheme that the courts, and voters, already rejected. When the rules don’t work for the Democratic Party, Hochul tries to change them.
Hochul and her cronies describe mid-decade redistricting as “undemocratic,” yet in the same breath she and her fellow New York Democrats <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2025/07/24/new-york-redistricting-hochul-00475043" target="_blank" rel="noopener">have declared</a> they will engage in mid-decade redistricting. In other words – their words – they’re going to take undemocratic actions in order to “save democracy” in America. The hypocrisy and absurdity of this is unparalleled, and New York voters can see right through it. The voters and the courts in this state have already made it clear the people must have the ability to choose their representatives, rather than politicians manufacturing uncompetitive districts and forcing their preferred candidates down everybody’s throats.
New York voters overwhelmingly supported a nonpartisan redistricting process. However, Democrats ignored them, blatantly gerrymandered districts, and when they were thrown out by the courts, they corrupted the Court of Appeals to get their way. Now, they are looking to stomp on the Constitution again for another shot at rigging the system to protect their power. Meanwhile, New York taxpayers continue to struggle with rising costs and a deteriorating quality of life in their communities.
This is not leadership. It’s political wheeling and dealing at its worst, and taxpayers are footing the bill.
Albany’s ruling class has made their priorities clear: your paycheck, your bills, and your future come second to their grip on power.
Until we get a governor who will put people over politics, rein in spending, protect ratepayers, and actually focus on making New York affordable again, New Yorkers will keep paying for Kathy Hochul’s failures.

Ibrahim AlHusseini, a left-wing venture capitalist who invests in “climate-restoring technologies” and donated more than $300,000 to Democrats, has been arrested on suspicion of securities fraud, The Daily Wire has learned.
According to allegations in civil and criminal court papers, he swindled investors in a deal involving $150 million in stock in Aspiration, a progressive banking app and carbon-credits company with the tagline &#8220;clean rich is the new filthy rich,&#8221; and which has faced probes from the government and others for alleged &#8220;greenwashing.&#8221;
Investors say they lost $150 million due to the fraud, while AlHusseini transferred $300 million to Saudi Arabia to avoid his debts.
AlHusseini, who was raised in Saudi Arabia by Palestinian parents and says he has raised <a href="https://www.fullcycle.com/team/ibrahim-alhusseini" target="_blank" rel="noopener">half a billion</a> dollars in capital, largely for green energy firms, leads the investment firm FullCycle and was a <a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/262823386/202342839349302304/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">board member</a> of CodePink, which stakes out the U.S. Capitol to harass lawmakers who support Israel and which <a href="https://www.codepink.org/8billionmore">calls</a> the Gaza war the “US-Israel Holocaust.”
He was arrested on October 7 and jailed until December 21, when federal prosecutors agreed to release him on $3 million bail put up by a who’s-who of wealthy liberal activists and environmentalists, including CodePink’s founder, Jodie Evans.
AlHusseini, whom the government deemed a flight risk, was also required to surrender his Saudi and American passports, turn in his guns, and wear a GPS monitor.
In a previously unreported <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cacd.944108/gov.uscourts.cacd.944108.1.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">criminal complaint</a> that said &#8220;there is probable cause to believe that AlHusseini has committed securities fraud,&#8221; an FBI agent said that the green energy magnate sent investors falsified bank statements that made it seem like he had assets “worth between approximately $80 million to $200 million.&#8221;
&#8220;In fact, AlHusseini’s brokerage account during this period held between approximately $2,000 and $15,000,&#8221; the complaint read.
As a result, an investment firm entered into a deal resulting in “losses in excess of $150 million, including interest and penalties, and AlHusseini personally received more than $12 million in ill-gotten gains,” the criminal complaint said.
AlHusseini&#8217;s lawyer, Jessica Nall, told The Daily Wire that he has not been charged with a crime.
The arrest emerged from a civil lawsuit in New York involving Aspiration Inc., a company backed by actors Robert Downey Jr. and Leonardo DiCaprio and co-founded by Andrei Cherny, who worked for Bill Clinton and Al Gore and ran for Congress last year. “Cherny also served as a financial fraud prosecutor alongside Elizabeth Warren on what became the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau,” according to a profile in <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/simonmainwaring/2021/03/29/purpose-at-work-how-aspiration-is-disrupting-the-financial-services-industry/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Forbes</a>.
Cherny said Aspiration aimed to be a bank whose investments aligned with progressive ideology.
“When people move their money out of Chase, or Wells Fargo to Aspiration, they are saying, ‘I don’t want those dollars to fund the Dakota Access Pipeline or a gun manufacturer,’” he told Forbes. AlHusseini—the gun-toting alleged financial fraudster—was an Aspiration investor and board member.

Aspiration&#8217;s other co-founder was Joe Sanberg, a California <a href="https://www.joesanberg.com/advocacy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">progressive activist</a> who takes credit for California expanding a welfare program to illegal immigrants and reportedly considered <a href="https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/Taking-on-Trump-Democrats-lining-up-early-for-13463969.php">running for president</a> in 2020.
According to civil and criminal court documents, Sanberg defaulted on a $145 million loan for which AlHusseini had promised to serve as a backstop. An investment firm called Clover Private Credit Opportunities agreed to loan the money to Sanberg&#8211;or rather, to an LLC he controlled that in turn owned another LLC called Aspiration Holdings SPE. He put up 10 million shares of Aspiration Partners Inc., the financial services company, as collateral.
Aspiration was not publicly traded, so Clover needed a way to make sure its collateral was liquid. AlHusseini was paid for a &#8220;put&#8221; option in which he agreed to buy the stock for $65 million in cash if Sanberg defaulted. Clover accepted the promise after receiving documents that said AlHusseini had more than $199 million in accounts that prosecutors say actually held only $2,693, according to court papers.
After there were signs that Sanberg might not be able to pay, AlHusseini agreed to raise the amount to $75 million, the papers say. AlHusseini provided investors with dozens of fraudulent invoices and was paid more than $12 million for making the bailout promises, court papers allege. Prosecutors said Sanberg (who was only called Borrower 1 in criminal documents) sent $5 million of AlHusseini&#8217;s cut directly to a relative of his in Saudi Arabia.

Sanberg defaulted on the loan. Clover took control of the Aspiration stock. But AlHusseini wouldn’t buy it, according to the lawsuit filed by Clover in July 2023 in New York state court. In November 2023, that court entered a judgement against him for $78 million. By then, AlHusseini was acting suspiciously, according to filings by Clover. He fired his lawyer, leaving him unrepresented in the court case, changed his address in court documents to the country of Lebanon, and allegedly took steps to avoid service.
Clover (whose lawyers did not return a request for comment) filed a motion to hold him in contempt of court, noting that even as he failed to pay the judgement, he donated huge sums to politicians, particularly “the squad” of far-left Democrats. His credit card companies turned over records showing he spent money on luxuries such as $750 skin treatments.

Third-party discovery in the lawsuit also likely showed that the financial statements AlHusseini had provided were apparently fake, leading to the criminal probe.
A related lawsuit filed in Los Angeles’s Beverly Hills Courthouse against AlHusseini and his brother, Faisal, said that to avoid paying his debt, he transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to Saudi Arabia, and transferred ownership of his Venice, California mansion to his brother. Lawyers for Faisal tried to escape the lawsuit by saying he had not been physically served, while process servers in Beverly Hills and Saudi Arabia played a cat-and-mouse game.
AlHusseini&#8217;s claim that he had essentially no assets remaining in the U.S. suggests that at some point, he liquidated his stake in Aspiration. Aspiration did not return a request for comment asking if he sold his stock, when, and to whom. Sanberg&#8211;who countersued Clover in a filing that did not criticize AlHusseini&#8211;also did not respond to a Daily Wire inquiry.
Although Sanberg is not accused of wrongdoing, the alleged fraud by AlHusseini, who owned more than five percent of the company, comes as Aspiration has been accused of distorting numbers to increase its profits while falling short of the progressive commitments it uses to lure customers. <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-01-18/doj-cftc-probe-carbon-credit-firm-aspiration-tapped-to-turn-la-nba-arena-green" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bloomberg</a> reported last January that &#8220;the Justice Department and Commodity Futures Trading Commission are looking into whether Aspiration misled customers about the quality of carbon offsets it was selling.&#8221;
<a href="https://www.propublica.org/article/the-celebrity-backed-green-fintech-company-that-isnt-as-green-as-it-seems" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ProPublica</a> reported in 2021 that Aspiration said it had “5 million passionate members” when it actually had half a million active customer accounts, and that it had planted 35 million trees when it had actually planted closer to 12 million. It said Aspiration asked customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar to plant a tree, but that not all of that money actually went to planting trees. ProPublica also said that although Aspiration’s selling point was that it avoided supporting fossil fuel companies and other enemies of the left, almost 3% of its portfolio consisted of Southwest Airlines stock.
A Bloomberg investigation in July found “<a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2024-07-10/questionable-deals-caused-a-climate-finance-startup-to-unravel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dubious deals</a> that inflated the company’s revenue” as the company sought to go public at a $2 billion valuation. “A nonprofit was supposed to pay Aspiration an amount nearly 10 times greater than its annual revenue. Another client was an unknown LLC created anonymously within days of its deal with Aspiration,” Bloomberg reported.  It said another deal appeared to have a Colombian model pay $50,000 a month to Aspiration, and then a company tied to Sanberg would pay her the same amount.
To get AlHusseini out on bail after his arrest, a collection of left-wing activists and green energy magnates put up <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cacd.944108/gov.uscourts.cacd.944108.64.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">millions of dollars</a> in real estate and sureties. Jodie Evans, a Democrat activist who founded Code Pink and once managed the campaign of former California Gov. Jerry Brown, put up her $3.3 million Venice home, which has a sign in the window that says “Free Free Palestine.” Evans did not return a request for comment, but CodePink no longer lists AlHusseini as a board member on its website.
Lekha Singh, a feminist artist who co-produced a documentary about the Egyptian revolution with AlHussein and Evans, put up her Texas farm.
Julie Preger, co-founder of eVolutionary Green Holdings, “focusing on the environmentally sustainable products,” put up her $1.6 million home in Colorado. Melony Lewis, a trustee of the liberal Aspen Institute and cofounder of Canyon Echo Capital, put up an LLC worth $6 million.
Rostam Zafari, the “CEO of World Within, a nonprofit that funds organizations building wealth for marginalized communities,” also contributed, as did Kamal el-Watter, founder of a company whose “Indigenous Data Warriors program envisions a future where all indigenous communities have ‘data sovereignty’ … when their knowledge is used in AI tools … monetary compensation will flow smoothly to those who have stewarded knowledge for millennia.”

A foundation established by the family who made more money from Bernie Madoff’s fraud than anyone else – including Madoff himself – is funding climate lawsuits aimed at implementing the disastrous Green New Deal.
Barbara and Jeffry Picower, a lawyer and accountant who managed tax shelters, were the single largest beneficiaries of Madoff&#8217;s Ponzi scheme. They made more than $7.2 billion by withdrawing other investors’ money from Madoff’s Ponzi scheme, according to <a href="https://s3.amazonaws.com/propublica/assets/docs/Picower_memo_defendent_PARTIAL_MOTION.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">court documents</a> from the Madoff case.
It has long been believed that the Picowers were aware of Madoff’s scheme. Picower, an experienced investor, likely would have found it strange for one of his accounts to see 950% returns in a single year. Two other accounts reported annualized returns of 100% between 1996 and 1999.
“Picower benefited tremendously from Madoff’s fraud and is not a victim,” Irving Picard, trustee for the liquidation of Madoff’s investment securities fraud, <a href="https://s3.amazonaws.com/propublica/assets/docs/Picower_memo_defendent_PARTIAL_MOTION.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote in legal documents</a>.
Jeffry Picower died at his Florida home in 2009, just 10 months after Madoff was arrested. Barbara Picower&#8217;s lawyers fought unsuccessfully for their client to only return a fraction of the $7.2 billion that prosecutors said she owed. They were ultimately unsuccessful: after the feds signaled they were looking into whether the Picowers were involved in the &#8220;conspiracy&#8221; to defraud investors, she agreed to hand over the full $7.2 billion, according to Forbes.
But she was allowed to collect the $200 million inheritance from her husband, who at one point quietly held over $10 billion in his investment accounts. That was more than enough for her to continue her life as a philanthropist, winning back the public favor that her family lost during the Madoff scandal.
She used her husband’s estate to establish the JPB Foundation, which is now spending millions of dollars funding climate lawsuits that seek billions in damages with the goal of bankrupting the fossil fuel industry or forcing energy producers to adopt emissions caps and other environmentalist ideals.
A San Francisco-based law firm called Sher Edling LLP represents multiple cities, states, and counties suing the fossil fuel energy, alleging they are responsible for climate change and natural disasters. But the legal expenses accrued by these lawsuits aren&#8217;t paid by the municipalities — they&#8217;re covered by a network of left-wing dark money organizations, including the Collective Action Fund, which has given more than $8 million to Sher Edling between 2017 and 2021, <a href="https://eidclimate.org/republican-leaders-probe-financing-of-sher-edlings-climate-nuisance-lawsuits/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to Energy In Depth</a>, a research organization that debunks climate activist narratives.
The Picower&#8217;s JPB Foundation has donated at least $4.45 million to the Collective Action Fund, <a href="https://capitalresearch.org/article/the-activist-side-third-party-litigation-support/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to the Capital Research Center</a>.
The foundation has also given at least $1 million to the Climate Judiciary Project, another radical climate organization, Real Clear Politics <a href="https://www.realclearpolicy.com/articles/2024/08/20/the_leftwing_judicial_ethics_crisis_no_one_is_talking_about_1052832.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The Climate Judiciary Project works with judges across the country to offer them an “educational curriculum,” encouraging them to favor plaintiffs suing fossil fuel producers for millions of dollars. While doing this, the CJP claims to be an objective judicial education organization.
O.H. Skinner, executive director of the Alliance for Consumers, a group that opposes these sorts of lawsuits due to the negative impact they have on the average American consumer, told The Daily Wire that the Picower foundation&#8217;s involvement shouldn&#8217;t be a surprise.
&#8220;It&#8217;s entirely unsurprising that a key source for these ideological climate change lawsuits is a family of financial kingpins who have wheeled and dealed in the more notorious corners of the financial markets, making money hand over fist by being one step ahead of regulators and lawsuits,” Skinner said.
Skinner suggested the JPB Foundation&#8217;s involvement in climate lawsuits was part of an effort to repair the Picower family image.
“In the real world, taking away things from everyday people isn’t how you make the world better,” Skinner added. “But apparently when you have billions from financial alchemy and narrow scrapes with court appointed trustees, the pat on the back at the cocktail party must feel like it makes it worth it.&#8221;
The spending worked. This year, the liberal Ford Foundation celebrated Barbara Picower&#8217;s &#8220;enduring legacy,&#8221; crediting her for being &#8220;fearless in her mission&#8221; to, among other things, &#8220;address critical environmental issues.&#8221; It also credits her for her goal to &#8220;empower those living in poverty,&#8221; making no mention of the billions of dollars she earned through one of the most infamous fraud schemes in history.
The lawsuits backed by the JPB foundation have been referred to as “the Green New Deal by lawsuit,” referring to the ill-fated and much-mocked proposal by climate activists in congress that would harm the economy without any meaningful impact on the climate, The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/study-green-new-deal-would-have-no-effect-climate-emily-zanotti" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
A study from the American Enterprise Institute, a right-leaning think tank, found that the Green New Deal’s “net zero” emissions proposal would require around $490 billion a year in investments to so-called green energy and would lead to a sharp decrease in land for agricultural needs. The Green New Deal also fails to consider that the vast majority of industrial pollution comes from China and India, meaning changes in the United States would decimate its economy without making any significant dent in the total amount of global pollution.
Neither the JPB Foundation nor Sher Edling responded to requests for comment.

The Kamala Harris Campaign recently published an image of her with the text, “we are not going back.” Will Democrats seek to replace her or Tim Walz from the ticket as their numbers start to tank? All it may take is another trip to the grocery store or a fill-up at the pump for reality to set back in for Americans excited about her candidacy. Most Americans would certainly like to “go back” to affordable gas prices, groceries, housing, and electricity.
Regardless of the ticket, any Democratic nominee would likely continue down the same policy path that has wrecked the American economy and — perhaps most importantly — dismantled our energy dominance.
Why does energy matter when everyone is talking about inflation, the border, and global conflicts? Because everything we do depends on access to affordable, reliable energy—and that means our next president’s energy policy will shape the future of America and the world. The Democrats’ vision for expensive, scarce, and government-controlled energy, dependent on the whims of the weather, is as reliable as Obamacare is affordable, and it would spell disaster for our nation.
Kamala Harris’ record on energy is clear. She endorsed California’s cap-and-trade carbon tax, co-sponsored the Green New Deal, and cast the tie-breaking vote on the Inflation Reduction Act, which is, as <a href="https://x.com/dgelles/status/1635301875967983616" target="_blank" rel="noopener">one journalist</a> aptly put it, “the first major climate legislation…EVER!” These are the same policies that have driven California’s energy prices to astronomical levels and have left tens of thousands of people in the dark — literally.
In California last year, <a href="https://www.wsj.com/business/energy-oil/why-californians-have-some-of-the-highest-power-bills-in-the-u-s-a831b60e" target="_blank" rel="noopener">215,000 people</a> had their power disconnected for inability to pay, and over 40,000 of those households still had not had their services restored by year’s end. For those individuals, residential lease and mortgage terms are violated and homeowners insurance policies are canceled because requirements to keep utilities connected aren’t being met. These 40,000 people are at the highest risk of homelessness, all because they couldn’t afford to pay their energy bills.
This is not just a California story — though the numbers are much higher there, it’s a nationwide crisis unfolding under the Democrats’ watch. In California last year, nearly 27% of Californians missed payments on utility bills — compared to 16% nationwide, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Household Pulse Survey. The previous year saw <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/utility-power-shutoffs-4-2-million/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">5 million Americans</a> receive disconnect notices from their utility companies. The pattern is clear: the Democrats’ energy policies, embraced in California, are making it harder for everyday Americans to keep their lights on.
Under the Trump administration, Americans enjoyed the benefits of a robust energy sector. The United States became a net energy exporter for the first time in decades, and <a href="https://www.energy.gov/sites/prod/files/2020/10/f79/Natural%20Gas%20Benefits%20Report.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">American households saved an average of $2,500 a year</a> on energy costs alone. Today, under the Biden-Harris administration, American families are <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-03-29/u-s-households-face-5-200-inflation-tax-this-year-chart" target="_blank" rel="noopener">paying $5,200 more per year,</a> thanks to the Biden-Harris policies that have attacked the energy industry and levied higher costs on everything.
Harris’s stance on fracking is particularly troubling for energy-producing states like New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming as significant portions of their energy are produced on federal lands. In 2019, she unequivocally stated, “There is no question I’m in favor of banning fracking. And, starting with what we can do on day one around public lands, right!” In New Mexico, nearly two-thirds of energy production occurs on federal lands, generating over $6 billion in tax revenue. A Harris administration would be a direct threat to this critical industry, leaving millions unemployed and our nation more dependent on foreign oil.

The consequences would be equally dire in states like Pennsylvania, and Ohio where auto production is a key economic driver. A Harris/Walz regime, with its bureaucratic deep state, would continue to unleash attacks against the energy and auto manufactures in these states. Chinese EV battery maker Gotion has already set up shop in Michigan, claiming U.S. federal and state tax subsidies while also receiving subsidies from the Chinese Communist Party. This is the kind of pro-China double-dealing that is resulting in, as President Trump predicted, a “bloodbath” for the American auto industry.
No wonder President Trump said he was “thrilled” with Tim Walz as Harris’ the VP pick. Not content with a centrist candidate to balance the ticket, Harris instead chose another hard leftist, verging on communist. The Democrats’ regime is no friend to American energy producers or the American automotive industry. And, as Harris has made clear, &#8220;we are not going back.&#8221;
In the end, the choice is clear. America needs leadership that will protect our energy independence, lower costs for American families, and strengthen our economy. The alternative is more of the same disastrous policies that have plagued California and could result in the United States being known as Kamalafornia — where energy is expensive, scarce, and unreliable, and where the American dream is slipping further out of reach for millions.

During a rally on Friday, former President Donald Trump played a new ad which takes aim at Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> by using her own past remarks against her.
Harris, the Democrats&#8217; effective 2024 presidential nominee, has an extremely left-wing history in politics, and voiced similarly radical positions during her failed 2020 presidential run. Video clips of those staked out positions by Harris were compiled by Trump&#8217;s team and featured in the new ad.
The ad opens up with the text, &#8220;Here&#8217;s what Kamala Harris would do as president&#8221; as audio plays of Harris bragging about being &#8220;radical.&#8221;
It then shows the VP voicing support for the controversial Green New Deal, issuing a total ban on fracking, supporting gun confiscation, eliminating private health insurance, providing taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants, and supporting the radical &#8220;defund the police&#8221; movement, among other far-Left issues.
The ad closes with the text, &#8220;Kamala Harris: Failed. Weak. Dangerously liberal.&#8221;

As highlighted in the ad, Harris said in 2019 that there&#8217;s &#8220;no question&#8221; she&#8217;s &#8220;in favor of banning fracking.&#8221;
“And starting with what we can do on Day 1 around public lands,&#8221; she said. &#8220;This is something I’ve taken on in California. I have a history on this issue.”
She further told CNN&#8217;s Jake Tapper that she supports a single-payer, Medicare for All bill that would eliminate private health insurance. “Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on,” she told the host.

Left-wing bureaucrats at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are working hard to force states to abandon reliable, low-cost, fossil fuel-based energy in favor of unreliable, high-cost, solar, wind, and battery-based power.
The EPA’s latest scheme includes a power grab for the grid by imposing several new regulatory commandments that states must follow under the Clean Power Plan and the Clean Air Act. The intended effect of these regulations is to replace the fossil fuel-fired plants that form the backbone of America’s electric grid with renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar.
I call it Joe Biden’s plan to wreck the grid — a grid which provides the energy needed to charge our iPhones, access the internet, heat and cool our homes, and power our schools, businesses, factories, farms, and hospitals.
This reckless and radical scheme jeopardizes the safety and security of America’s electrical grid and forces all of us to pay far more for the electricity we take for granted.
Indeed, the Indiana Municipal Power Agency — which provides electricity to many rural customers — projects a double-digit rate increase under the Biden administration’s Clean Power Plan 2.0.
The EPA’s pet project to force the grid to go green is also illegal — which is why my office is fighting these regulations in court.
<h4>The Good Neighbor Rule</h4>
The first legal challenge is to the “good neighbor” rule imposed under the Clean Air Act, which requires states to reduce ozone pollution from in-state sources transported downwind into other states. 
Although the EPA establishes national air quality standards, Congress has reserved to the states the authority to determine how those standards will be met — including those relating to states’ “good neighbor” obligations. This dual allocation of responsibility between the federal government and the states reflects the Clean Air Act’s “cooperative federalism” model. 
As the U.S. Supreme Court noted in Union Elec. Co. v. EPA, each state enjoys “wide discretion in formulating its [air pollution] plan.” Biden bureaucrats apparently never got that memo. In 2022, the EPA arbitrarily rejected the good neighbor plans of 23 states, including Indiana’s. To make things worse, instead of allowing states to remedy any alleged deficiencies in their plans, as the Clean Air Act contemplates, the EPA imposed a one-size-fits-all plan on the states. 
In truth, Biden bureaucrats aren’t interested in working with Indiana or any other state. So much for the “cooperative federalism” model; under this Administration, it’s do as you’re told. However, Hoosiers don’t bend the knee to D.C. bureaucrats, which is why my office has joined the attorneys general of Ohio and West Virginia in a legal challenge to the EPA’s “good neighbor” rule.
In addition to the dubious legality of the “good neighbor” rule, the EPA has failed to address where the energy to support the electric grid will come from after fossil fuel-based sources are forced offline.
The company managing the electrical grid for Indiana and other states, PJM, recently <a href="https://www.pjm.com/-/media/library/reports-notices/special-reports/2023/energy-transition-in-pjm-resource-retirements-replacements-and-risks.ashx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the current pace of new energy sources, such as solar and wind, would be “insufficient” to keep up with expected retirements of fossil-fuel energy sources mandated by the EPA.
The report explains that wind and solar energy sources are “intermittent and limited duration resources”—meaning the sun doesn’t always shine and the wind doesn’t always blow. Thus, for each megawatt of electricity generated by fossil fuels lost under the EPA rule, it will take multiple megawatts of wind and solar energy to replace it.
Don’t be fooled by the Administration’s green energy gas bags touting the alleged superiority of solar and wind power. They may have a role in meeting America’s future power needs, but they are inferior when it comes to producing reliable power.
Joe Biden claims that his energy policies will make electricity more affordable, but Hoosiers know hogwash when they hear it. Great Britain and Germany live under the same mandates the Biden administration pushes here, and people there pay about three times more for electricity than Americans.
Rather than being dissuaded by these facts, Biden bureaucrats are doubling down. The EPA just unveiled the final version of a rule regulating greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. I’m proud that my office, in conjunction with West Virginia, is leading a 25-state strong coalition challenging the new rule—a rehash of the Obama-era “Clean Power Plan” found unlawful by the Supreme Court in West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency. Like its predecessor, Clean Power Plan 2.0 would shutter fossil fuel power plants, despite the Court’s rejection of the notion that federal bureaucrats can dictate “how Americans will get their energy.”
Given the advent of new technologies with an unquenchable thirst for electricity, regulations that reduce the power supply can only be called reckless. As demand for power grows and these radical green policies suppress supply, electricity prices will surge — jolting the most vulnerable Hoosiers.
Joe Biden’s energy bureaucrats are fully committed to their radical and reckless agenda to wreck the grid, despite the untold costs to Americans’ security and pocketbooks. That’s why Indiana and our partner states are committed to challenging their actions in court and pulling the plug on their illegal power grab.

President Joe Biden has made green energy a cornerstone of his policy agenda, investing tens of billions to promote renewable energy and electric cars.
In April, the administration <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2024/04/04/biden-harris-administration-announces-historic-20-billion-in-awards-to-expand-access-to-clean-energy-and-climate-solutions-and-lower-energy-costs-for-communities-across-the-nation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unveiled</a> a plan for $20 billion in awards to foster clean energy in lower-income communities, <a href="https://www.doi.gov/pressreleases/biden-harris-administration-approves-eighth-offshore-wind-project" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> a new offshore wind turbine project, and <a href="https://www.epa.gov/newsreleases/biden-harris-administration-announces-7-billion-solar-all-grants-deliver-residential" target="_blank" rel="noopener">revealed</a> $7 billion in new grants to develop solar power.
However, there are some major reservations behind Biden&#8217;s full-steam-ahead approach to renewable energy — principally the concern about the fact that China almost totally controls the production of clean energy components.
According to <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2024-04-16/china-extends-clean-tech-dominance-over-us-despite-biden-s-ira-blueprint" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bloomberg</a>, China possesses more than 80% of the global manufacturing capacity for 11 clean energy components, including parts necessary for the building of solar panels and electric car batteries. It also holds a majority of the manufacturing capacity for parts necessary for the production of wind turbines.

By contrast, the United States controls 0% of the global manufacturing capacity for more than half of the components, and its highest capacity share is only 10% for hydrogen electrolyzers. U.S. allies like Japan, South Korea, and others in Europe also woefully lag behind China in clean tech production.
China dominates the green energy supply chain, from raw materials to components to finished products. It <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/03/29/china-clean-green-energy-technology-trade/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">produces</a> 80% of the world&#8217;s solar panels, while the U.S. makes only 2%, and two-thirds of the wind turbines. Additionally, Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs) <a href="https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2024/4/20/are-chinese-evs-taking-over-the-car-market#:~:text=Chinese%20EVs%20already%20make%20up,the%20last%20couple%20of%20years." target="_blank" rel="noopener">comprise</a> 60% of global sales. China exported $146 billion worth of EVs, lithium-ion batteries, and solar components in 2023.
A single Chinese solar company, Tongwei Group, plans on expanding its facilities and aims by the end of the year to produce four times the amount of solar cells installed by the entire United States last year, The Washington Post reported.
China will be the “main force leading the global energy transition,” Tongwei Chairman Liu Hanyuan told WaPo.

China&#8217;s effort to become the preeminent manufacturer of green tech comes as the Chinese Communist Party searches for new ways to expand the nation&#8217;s economy as it remains comparatively sluggish in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/china/china-goes-all-in-on-green-industry-to-jolt-ailing-economy-2f836395" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a>. It has provided massive subsidies to green tech-related companies to stimulate the growth of the sector.
China is also poised to control the raw materials that are used to build those green energy technologies, largely through its growing influence in Africa.
As of 2022, African nations barely produced any of the world’s supply of lithium, but according to experts, Africa is sitting on a potential lithium bonanza. While Australia mined 55,000 metric tons of lithium in 2021, Zimbabwe, a landlocked nation in southern Africa, is projected to extract over 100,000 tons of lithium by 2031, <a href="https://archive.is/0v90F" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Financial Times. Mali, in West Africa, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), in Central Africa, are also expected to become major producers of lithium while Namibia, Ghana, and Ethiopia will become moderate producers.
The problem for the U.S. stems from the fact that China has been investing in these countries for years, and China owns or partially owns many of the companies that are poised to exploit the coming lithium boom. The top lithium-producing companies in both Mali and the DRC are partially owned by China, while 3 out of the 4 major lithium mining companies in Zimbabwe are entirely owned by the communist nation.
Just one lithium mine in Zimbabwe, owned by a Chinese company, is estimated to hold up to 11 million metric tons of the mineral, <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2023/03/09/is-the-us-falling-behind-china-in-africas-lithium-industry-.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to CNBC. Zimbabwe banned the export of raw lithium in December 2022 to encourage domestic processing, but the three Chinese-owned companies, which have invested $678 million into lithium projects in the country and have announced plans for development projects that reach into the billions, are exempt from the regulation. Indeed, Zimbabwe has been a major <a href="https://global.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202301/17/WS63c5fbf3a31057c47ebaa050.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">beneficiary</a> of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, a foreign investment and infrastructure policy that critics have argued is a debt trap for poorer nations. As of 2023, China has invested tens of billions in African nations, including Zimbabwe, the DRC, Mali, and Ghana — all places where mining is projected to spike in the coming years.
Additionally, the DRC has a stranglehold on the mining of cobalt, another crucial mineral in the production of EV batteries, producing an <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/International/cobalt-mining-transforms-city-democratic-republic-congo-satellite/story?id=96795773#:~:text=The%20Democratic%20Republic%20of%20the%20Congo%20produces%20an%20estimated%2070,those%20more%20in%2Ddemand%20minerals." target="_blank" rel="noopener">estimated</a> 70% of the world’s supply. Chinese companies also have significant <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/28/world/congo-cobalt-mining-china.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">control</a> over those mines in the DRC and ones in Zambia. In 2020, China held complete or partial ownership in 15 of the 19 operating cobalt mines in the DRC, The Economist <a href="https://www.economist.com/middle-east-and-africa/2023/02/28/how-america-plans-to-break-chinas-grip-on-african-minerals" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Biden&#8217;s zeal to transition the U.S. away from fossil fuels has left it vulnerable to China&#8217;s control of the supply chain for green technologies. Though China&#8217;s monopoly, at least on components and finished products, is unlikely to last forever, it currently possesses a decisive advantage over every other nation on Earth that it will certainly use to its economic and strategic advantage. Experts are warning that the state of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/hawaii" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hawaii&#8217;s</a> ruling against oil companies is a &#8220;stalking horse&#8221; for effectively forcing Americans to live under the Green New Deal.
The warnings come as the U.S. Supreme Court <a href="https://news.bloomberglaw.com/environment-and-energy/oil-majors-take-hawaii-court-climate-decision-to-supreme-court" target="_blank" rel="noopener">considers</a> taking up the case after the companies filed an appeal over the ruling. Some of the justices on the Hawaii Supreme Court have cited the &#8220;spirit of Aloha&#8221; in their rulings, which critics say is clear mockery directed at the U.S. Constitution.
The city of Honolulu claimed in its lawsuit that oil companies like Exxon and Chevron should pay billions of dollars because they were responsible for weather events that it claimed were caused by climate change, including sea level rise, heat waves, flooding, and global warming.
Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/hawaiis-big-oil-suit-stalking-horse-green-new-deal-push-nationwide-experts-say" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the oil companies initially appealed the ruling with the Hawaii Supreme Court, noting that federal law prevents states from shaping policies for all states.
Carrie Severino, president of Judicial Crisis Network (JCN), said &#8220;one rogue state court in Hawaii can’t dictate climate policy for the nation&#8221; and that &#8220;it’s Congress’ job to set national policy in this area.&#8221;
Former Arizona Solicitor General O.H. Skinner, the CEO of Alliance for Consumers, said that the ruling was &#8220;a stalking horse for the Green New Deal, with lefty enclaves looking to strong-arm progressive lifestyle choices onto an otherwise unwilling public by targeting industries that have yet to fall in line with the progressive ideal.&#8221;
&#8220;The hyper-ideological justices on the Hawaii Supreme Court seem to want to bankrupt fossil fuel companies and see this lawsuit as a magical key that unlocks unlimited power and a lot of money for progressive agendas,&#8221; Skinner said.
The report noted that Hawaii Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald has worked in collaboration with a hard-Left judicial advocacy group called the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) that exists to indoctrinate judges on &#8220;how to handle climate change litigation that comes before them.&#8221;

Other justices on Hawaii&#8217;s top court have questioned the legitimacy of the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing that &#8220;the Aloha Spirit inspires constitutional interpretation.&#8221;
Justices have also allowed their personal feelings to help dictate their rulings, including one who said in the ruling that in her &#8220;view,&#8221; climate change was &#8220;the most important issue facing all courts in the world at this point. It’s an existential threat.&#8221;
Skinner noted that the ruling that Hawaii wants will have a profound impact on Americans&#8217; ability to live, especially in the era of having to deal with high costs due to the inflation that President Joe Biden caused with his American Rescue Plan in early 2021.
&#8220;Honolulu’s proverbial ‘spirit of Aloha’ assault here, if left unchecked, will actually bore a hole in the pockets of Americans as it marches across industry after industry, increasing the costs of food, cars, travel, and all the other basic building blocks of the modern American life at a pace that everyday Americans won’t be able to afford,&#8221; he said. &#8220;This is the high court’s problem because it will have compounding impacts on everyday Americans who are already struggling to keep up with the rising costs just to live a decent life.&#8221;

New Mexico may be small in terms of population, but we are the second largest producer of oil. We punch well above our weight when it comes to American energy and that’s becoming a problem for President Joe Biden.
New <a href="https://powerthefuture.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/FINAL-PTF-New-Mexico-Statewide-Survey.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">polling data</a> show Biden’s support in our state plummeting. With an approval rating of just 41% and a disapproval rating of 57%, Biden finds himself 16 points underwater. This decline is particularly worrying for the President, given that he won New Mexico by a comfortable <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-faces-dire-disapproval-ratings-among-hispanics-in-state-he-won-big-in-2020-poll" target="_blank" rel="noopener">10-point margin</a> during the 2020 election.
One of the significant concerns for Biden is the erosion of his support among Hispanics. While a 2022 poll indicated a 53% approval rating among the Hispanic community, that number has dropped dramatically to a mere 36% today. This marks a significant 17-point dip in less than two years. Keep in mind, Hispanics make up more of the population in New Mexico than in any other state. We are a minority-majority state. If they’re abandoning Biden here, they’re likely doing so in other states too.
The top issues of concern in New Mexico revolve around the economy, crime, illegal immigration, and the cost of living. Unfortunately for Biden, these are precisely the areas where he is failing to resonate with voters.
A particularly contentious issue is Biden&#8217;s complete embrace of the green agenda. Having worked in the natural gas industry for 30 years, this is personal for me. A staggering 54% of New Mexicans believe the oil and natural gas industry is the most crucial sector for the state&#8217;s economy, surpassing all other industries combined. Despite New Mexico being the nation&#8217;s second-largest oil producer, Biden often attacks this vital industry. Recently, his administration canceled all exports of liquefied natural gas, a devastating blow for our foreign buyers, our allies in Europe.
Adding insult to injury, the recent actions of President Joe Biden and New Mexico&#8217;s Governor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/michelle-lujan-grisham" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Michelle Lujan Grisham</a> regarding the imposition of regulations on natural gas production in our state are concerning to say the least. Despite New Mexico&#8217;s position as a national energy leader, these onerous rules seem to be aimed at hindering rather than promoting the industry that supports our state.
It is particularly disheartening to note that these regulations were announced by the Biden administration and Governor Grisham while they attended an elitist United Nations climate conference in Dubai. This exclusive gathering, held thousands of miles away from our state, hardly seems like an appropriate venue for discussing and implementing policies that will directly impact our energy industry.
Furthermore, the practical result of these regulations is effectively a tax on natural gas production. This additional financial burden on the industry can only serve to stifle growth and hinder job creation in our state. It is puzzling why our leaders would choose to impose such fees when New Mexico plays such a crucial role in meeting the nation&#8217;s energy needs.
Additionally, electric vehicles (EVs) have become a contentious topic in New Mexico. While Governor Grisham was on Biden’s shortlist for vice president and is pushing for EV mandates, it is evident that New Mexicans oppose such measures. A staggering 59% of voters oppose EV mandates, with 72% believing they will lead to increased costs. This opposition to EVs further compounds Biden&#8217;s difficulties in securing support from the citizens of New Mexico.

If the economy is the primary concern, Biden&#8217;s pursuit of the green agenda is undoubtedly a major obstacle to overcome in this small state. With the majority of New Mexicans understanding the pivotal role that the oil and natural gas industry plays in their economy, the president&#8217;s attacks on this sector have been met with strong resistance. Furthermore, the push for EV mandates has faced overwhelming opposition, with voters expressing concerns over increased costs.
The results speak for themselves: what is important to the people isn’t important to Joe Biden. He could be focusing on policies that prioritize the state&#8217;s economic growth, address crime concerns, tackle illegal immigration effectively, and alleviate the rising cost of living, but his agenda won’t allow it.
Our little state is sending a big message to Joe Biden, but it’s doubtful he will ever listen.

It should come as no surprise to witness the very same people calling for a Green New Deal and the energy disarming of America appear to be the very same people who are proudly anti-Israel. This became even more clear as many of us were gathering with family to celebrate gratitude during Thanksgiving, because opponents of American energy and Israeli freedom were hard at work at the same time.
First, protestors disrupted and were eventually arrested at the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-palestinian-demonstrators-block-macys-thanksgiving-parade-force-it-to-be-diverted">Macy’s Thanksgiving parade</a> demanding &#8220;liberation for Palestine and planet.” Next, climate darling Greta Thunberg <a href="https://twitter.com/EnvirosTakingLs/status/1728446520788156853">took to the streets</a> of Stockholm shouting “Crush Zionism” to anyone who still listens to her.

And not to be forgotten “The Squad,” the four most intolerable and intolerant members of Congress, were among the very few to <a href="https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2023528?Date=10%2F25%2F2023">proudly vote against</a> standing with Israel after the atrocities committed by Hamas. Yes, they are the same leaders behind the <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-resolution/319/cosponsors?s=3&amp;r=4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">effort to force</a> the Green New Deal.
It is not a coincidence. The loudest voices against Israel are also the loudest voices working to force a radical environmental agenda. It’s also not happenstance that the laws and rules they support just so happen to erode the strength of democratic nations, especially the United States and Israel.

<li>Since taking office, President Joe Biden has issued <a href="https://www.federalregister.gov/presidential-documents/executive-orders/joe-biden/2021" target="_blank" rel="noopener">126 executive orders</a> with many aimed at the American energy industry. At the same time, the Biden Administration <a href="https://www.doi.gov/pressreleases/reflecting-americas-rapid-and-accelerating-shift-clean-energy-interior-department" target="_blank" rel="noopener">is boasting</a> about the fewest oil and gas leases in history. All while circumventing Congress.</li>
<li>While working overtime to erode American energy, the Biden Administration turns a blind eye to Iranian oil sanctions. Since Biden’s swearing in, Iran is exporting <a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/iranian-oil-exports-end-2022-high-despite-no-nuclear-deal-2023-01-15/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more of their oil</a> than ever. The ensuing billions of dollars flowing to Tehran can then be sent to support Hamas and Hezbollah. It is an arrangement that must make Greta and The Squad very happy.</li>
<li>Once again using an executive order to go around Congress, Biden created the “<a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/climatecorps/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Climate Corps</a>” out of thin air…and a lot of public money. Biden’s goal is <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/biden-deploying-20000-climate-activists-making" target="_blank" rel="noopener">20,000 activists</a> that have their expenses, including housing and transportation, covered by taxpayers. Rest assured; the ranks of Thanksgiving parade disrupters will swell when they are nurtured by Biden’s green handouts.</li>
<li>The avalanche of Biden’s proposed rules and regulations reach into every room of every American home. Gas stoves, gas-fed furnaces and gas-powered cars are all targets that the Biden Administration is working to ban without a single vote from Congress. In the meantime, the solar panels, electric vehicles, and batteries Biden claims will pave the way to the future are nearly 100% products of Communist China. As a real authoritarian regime, China is the biggest beneficiary of Biden’s green push at <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-regulations-cost-americans-10000-per-household-study" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the expense of</a> American family budgets. By the way, China is also a major customer of Iranian oil.</li>
</ul>
Those on the Left call it “intersectionality” when different groups jump on a cause just to support their political allies. It is the trend that enabled America’s teacher union leaders to <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/randi-weingarten-crushed-pushing-school-lockdowns-live-debate-no-remorse-whatsoever" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suddenly became loud voices</a> in the health arena during Covid lockdowns. The Left will close ranks to protect even the most extreme wings of their ideology. In this case, when it comes to protesting Israel and protesting American energy, those two wings have found common cause.
The consequences of these actions can be deadly. On the world stage, America is weaker when Biden and the intersectional Left push their agenda. From Greta to The Squad, ideas like the Green New Deal have nothing to do with the climate. And everything to do with knee-capping our allies abroad and America at home.
They’re all on the same team, and it’s not ours.

President Joe Biden&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/aoc-wants-credit-for-bidens-green-energy-agenda-let-her-have-it" target="_blank" rel="noopener">green energy boondoggle</a> keeps getting bigger by the hundreds of billions of dollars, according to a new study.
On Friday, Just The News <a href="https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/bidens-green-agenda-cost-least-600-billion-more-projected-analysis-says" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that a new University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business model predicts that the cost of Biden&#8217;s oft-touted climate change bill — the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hey-neat-spend-1000-on-green-energy-and-the-feds-will-give-you-a-300-tax-credit-to-reduce-inflation-thanks-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Inflation Reduction Act</a> — will now cost the U.S. taxpayers more than $1 trillion.
&#8220;The 2022 Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) contained a range of climate and energy provisions that <a class="link" href="https://budgetmodel.wharton.upenn.edu/issues/2022/8/12/senate-passed-inflation-reduction-act" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PWBM previously estimated</a> to cost $384.9 billion over 10 years,&#8221; Penn <a href="https://budgetmodel.wharton.upenn.edu/estimates/2023/4/27/update-cost-climate-and-energy-inflation-reduction-act" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a press release. &#8220;Since that estimate, newer implementation details have emerged, and the fiscal year calendar has moved to start at FY2023. Our updated estimate for over 10 years (FY2023 – 2032) for just the climate and energy provisions is now $1,045 billion.&#8221;
Much of that comes from subsidizing the &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/shocker-new-york-would-ban-gas-stoves-in-new-buildings-under-potential-budget-deal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">electrification of everything</a>,&#8221; as some have called it. Here&#8217;s exactly what that money will be going toward over the next 10 years:

<li>Clean electricity/energy ($263 billion)</li>
<li>Clean Hydrogen ($49 billion)</li>
<li>Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage ($23 billion)</li>
<li>Advanced Manufacturing ($183 billion)</li>
<li>Clean vehicles ($393 billion)</li>
<li>Biofuels ($43 billion)</li>
<li>Energy efficiency ($28 billion)</li>
<li>Agriculture and forestry ($3 billion)</li>
<li>Energy grants and loans ($37 billion)</li>
<li>Air pollution ($22 billion)</li>
</ul>
Who will be in charge of doling that money out? Democratic lackey John Podesta. Will Podesta make sure that all of that money goes toward American companies? It doesn&#8217;t look likely. In March, he said that Chinese companies will have a big part to play in America&#8217;s energy future.
Even Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) took issue with Podesta over the comments.
&#8220;It is beyond irresponsible for someone speaking on behalf of the White House to not only condone but also advocate for sending American tax dollars to Chinese companies,&#8221; Manchin told Fox News. &#8220;That is not consistent with either the IRA or the CHIPS + Science Act, which had widespread bipartisan support due to concerns about Chinese supply chains.&#8221;
That Podesta would want to funnel U.S. tax dollars overseas to the Chinese Communist Party shouldn&#8217;t come as much of a surprise. Podesta is good friends with at least one CCP official, Fox News also <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bidens-new-clean-energy-czar-highest-regard-ccp-official-called-friend" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> in September 2022.
Other Democratic allies are lining up to make sure they take advantage of the government spending over the next decade. Twice-failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/stacey-abrams-now-throwing-her-weight-around-with-group-advocating-gas-stove-regulations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">now working with Rewiring America</a>, a group that advocates the heavy regulation of gas stoves, arguing instead for electric appliances.
The founders of Rewiring America — Alex Laskey, Saul Griffith, and Ari Matusiak — have made significant money off government funding in the green energy sphere while advocating for policies that benefit their bottom dollar via the non-profit group.
“It’s a shocking amount of money that they’re hauling in with this scheme of theirs,” Tom Pyle, the president of the Institute for Energy Research, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/stacey-abrams-now-throwing-her-weight-around-with-group-advocating-gas-stove-regulations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Fox News. “I call it Big Green Inc. It is literally a business for these guys and they cloak themselves in the mantra of trying to save the planet. But, really, this is just very sophisticated self-dealing.”
It appears that the scheme now has more than a trillion reasons to continue, thanks to the seemingly never-ending price increase of the Inflation Reduction Act.
