Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are deadlocked in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/wisconsin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wisconsin</a> just days out from Election Day, a final poll from the Marquette Law School found. 
The <a href="https://law.marquette.edu/poll/category/poll-release/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poll</a> found that Harris led Trump by 50-49% among 834 Wisconsin registered voters and 753 likely voters surveyed from October 16-24. Harris’s one-point edge, well within the margin of error, comes as both candidates seek to earn the state&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/swing-state-showcase-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-race-in-wisconsin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">10 electoral votes</a>. Wisconsin was decided by less than one percentage point in 2016 and 2020. 
The top three issues for the likely voters were the economy (38%), abortion (15%), and immigration and border security (13%). Half of those surveyed said Trump would be better for the economy, while 40% said Harris would be better. On the issue of immigration, 51% said Trump would be better, while 37% preferred Harris. On abortion, 53% said they trusted Harris more, while 35% said Trump. 
Trump led Harris 56-44% among those who planned to vote on Election Day and 52-47% of those who planned to vote early, while Harris had a 70-30% advantage among those who said they would vote by mail. 
As many national polls have shown, there is a massive gender gap in support for Trump and Harris. Harris led Trump 57%-43% among women, while the former president led Harris 56%-44% among men.

Marquette’s Law School poll found a tight Senate contest as well between incumbent Democrat Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Republican challenger Eric Hovde. The poll found Baldwin with a 51%-49% lead over Hovde, within the poll’s margin of error. The previous Marquette poll found Baldwin with a seven percentage point lead over Hovde. 
On a full Senate ballot, Baldwin leads Hovde 49%-47%, while “America First” Party candidate Thomas Leager earned one percent. Leager’s campaign has been <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/political-donors-democrats-republicans-wisconsin-senate-race/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">backed</a> by Democrats who hope it pulls conservative votes away from Hovde. 
Harris and Trump campaigned in the Badger State on Wednesday, with Trump holding a rally in Green Bay and Harris speaking in Madison. During the rally, Trump, who wore an orange garbage workers vest, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/packers-legend-brett-favre-rallies-for-trump-time-to-bench-kamala" target="_blank" rel="noopener">was joined</a> by former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre and current Packers running back A.J. Dillon. Harris was joined by musicians Gracie Abrams, Remi Wolf, and the Mumford &amp; Sons band. 
Trump is expected to return to Wisconsin on Friday for a rally in the Democrat stronghold of Milwaukee.

Favre, a three time NFL MVP and Super Bowl winner, made the comments during a rally in Green Bay in support of Trump. As Favre opened up his remarks, cheers of “Go Pack Go” echoed throughout the Resch Center where the rally was being held.
“I can tell you one thing, I knew I would come back to Green Bay at various times, but I never thought I would come back in this setting,” Favre said. “There’s never been a more important time in our lives than right now in this election.”
”Much like the Packer organization, Donald Trump and his organization is a winner. The United States of America won with his leadership,” Favre added.
The former quarterback then turned to address <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-slammed-after-calling-74-million-americans-garbage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden’s comments</a> on Tuesday where he referred to Trump supporters as “garbage.”
“I can assure you we’re not garbage,” Favre said. “How dare he say that. Looking out, I see police officers, teachers, nurses, grandparents, students. I see everyday Americans that make this country great.”
During his remarks, Favre pointed to high inflation, the fentanyl crisis, and foreign policy as reasons to back Trump.
“The stakes are incredibly high,” he said. &#8220;Families across Wisconsin are struggling to make ends meet. People’s salaries haven’t kept up with inflation. It’s getting harder for younger people to buy their first home. People are losing hope in the American dream.”

“And it’s not just about money. People are losing their lives,” he added. “Last year, 50 people here in Brown County died of a fentanyl overdose. That’s 50 too many. And our kids face the prospect of World War III.”
Favre said that it would be “insane” to give Vice President Kamala Harris four more years in the White House, saying that “its time to bench Kamala and put in the star quarterback Donald Trump.”
“I have lived the American dream,” he said. “But I want to make sure the future generations get to as well. And that would be my grandson Parker and his two brothers. So remember this: let’s make America great again.”
Favre spent one season with the Atlanta Falcons, 16 seasons with the Packers, one season with the New York Jets, and two with the Minnesota Vikings. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2016. He played a record 299 consecutive games and threw for 508 touchdowns and 71,838 yards in his career.
Both Trump and Harris have spent significant time in Wisconsin as it is again projected to be close.

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brett Favre</a> is set to speak next week at a rally for former President Donald Trump in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/wisconsin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wisconsin</a>.
The Trump campaign announced Friday that Favre, a Super Bowl winner and three-time NFL MVP, would be a special guest at a rally at the Resch Center in Green Bay on Wednesday. Favre, who played 20 seasons in the NFL, previously backed Trump’s 2020 campaign.
&#8220;My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech and religion, the second amendment, hard-working tax-paying citizens, police and military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me and these principles, my vote is for [Trump],” Favre <a href="https://wfin.com/fox-sports/nfl-legend-brett-favre-to-speak-at-trump-rally-in-wisconsin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in 2020.
Favre has advocated to keep transgender-identifying males from participating in female sports and prioritizing American citizens.
“If you’re born in the USA or an American citizen and you put other countries above us, then that’s unpatriotic. That’s it,” Favre posted on X last month.

Last year, Favre said that the country was in “better shape” when Trump was president.
“I think Donald was a non-political president, and I liked that about him. Was he perfect? Absolutely not. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. I&#8217;m flawed just like the rest of them,” he <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nfl/article-14004543/brett-favre-donald-trump-rally-wisconsin.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on the &#8220;Fearless&#8221; podcast. “We&#8217;re all flawed. But I really felt like he had our country in a better place and really cared about our people in our country.”
“Black, White, Hispanic, Asian — you name it. I think if you were an American citizen, he cared about you, first and foremost. I don&#8217;t know if our current president has the same mentality,” he said.
Last month, Favre revealed in front of Congress that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

On Thursday, league owners voted against opposition by coaches to approve a one-year trial for a rule that puts the ball on the receiving team&#8217;s 25-yard line &#8220;if there is a fair catch on a free kick (kickoff and safety kick)&#8221; anywhere between the 25-yard line and the goal line. A suspect accused of shooting a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-york-city" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York City</a> police officer who had his bond paid by a former <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NFL</a> running back is now working as a for-hire driver, according to a new report. 
The New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/05/06/cop-shooting-suspect-driving-livery-while-awaiting-trial-police-sources/?utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Nelson Pizarro, who is accused of shooting a cop during a drug search, has taken on a new gig as a livery driver after being bailed out of jail by former <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/green-bay-packers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Green Bay Packers</a> running back Ryan Grant. 
After 11 months in jail for allegedly shooting Detective Dominick Libretti in January 2022, Pizarro was let out in December. Police sources told the Post that Pizarro and Grant were “close friends” and that Pizarro was given approval to work as a livery driver after initially being put on house arrest. 
Sources added that Pizarro, who has former gun-related and drug convictions, had driven not far from Libretti’s home.
“He’s just got free rein of all the boroughs,” a law enforcement source said. “So there’s pretty much no repercussions for shooting a cop.”
Libretti, who was shot in the leg during the drug raid, said that he was shocked when he learned about Pizarro’s reported gig. Libretti spent about a week in the hospital after the shooting and he had reconstructive surgery. 
“How do you not tell me that this guy’s out driving on the freeway,” Libretti reportedly said. “It’s just a slap in the face to the whole job.”

Grant, who won a Super Bowl with the Packers in 2011, grew up in Rockland County New York before attending the University of Notre Dame. He was injured for the majority of the Packers&#8217; 2011 Super Bowl year, but still got a ring as part of the team. 
Pizarro <a href="https://www.silive.com/crime-safety/2022/12/suspect-in-shooting-of-nypd-officer-during-staten-island-drug-raid-posts-bond-for-release.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">was charged</a> with first-degree attempted murder, attempted aggravated murder of a police officer, criminal possession of a firearm, and attempted assault with a weapon. 
He said that he believed his house was being broken into during the police operation. “I thought I was getting robbed,” he reportedly said. “Is the cop going to be OK?”
Lance Lazzaro, who is representing Pizarro, said that the bail had been set too high.

Aaron Rodgers, the newest face of the New York Jets, revealed in his introductory press conference that he wanted to play for the NFL franchise because he’s “an old guy” and this team gives him an opportunity to win another Super Bowl.
Rodgers, 39, was shipped to New York from the Green Bay Packers on Monday in a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/packers-star-aaron-rodgers-traded-to-new-york-jets" target="_blank" rel="noopener">massive trade</a> that involved multiple draft picks over the next two years. The four-time MVP and Super Bowl-winning quarterback arrived at the Jets practice facility on Wednesday, where he donned Jets gear for his first press conference. 
“I’m an old guy, so I wanted to be a part of a team that can win it all, and I believe that this is the place where we can get that done,” Rodgers said when asked what led him to the Jets.
Rodgers, who turns 40 in December, told sports analyst Pat McAfee on the “Pat McAfee Show” last month that it was his “intention” to play for the Jets next season. The trade rumors lasted for weeks as the teams negotiated and hashed out details of the blockbuster trade.
The star quarterback made it clear that he doesn’t view himself as the franchise’s savior as he’s joining a team that hasn’t appeared in a Super Bowl since winning it in 1969 after Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath guaranteed a Jets victory. 
&#8220;I&#8217;m just here to be the best quarterback I can be,&#8221; Rodgers <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/04/26/aaron-rodgers-live-updates-jets-press-conference-news-reactions/?utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social">told</a> reporters. He did mention, however, that the Jets’ Super Bowl trophy “is looking a bit lonely.” 
The Jets finished dead last in the AFC East division last season with a 7-10 record. The team had high hopes for second-year quarterback Zach Wilson, but the young quarterback was criticized for underperforming under pressure and dealt with a knee injury. New York added Rodgers&#8217; Packers teammate Allen Lazard and former Kansas City Chiefs speedster Mecole Hardman to its wide receiver corps last month, giving Rodgers multiple weapons on top of the Jets&#8217; young standout receiver Garrett Wilson. 
During the press conference, the team also revealed that Rodgers would wear No. 8, the number he wore while playing college football at the University of California. Namath gave Rodgers permission to wear his No. 12 since that’s the number Rodgers wore during his 18 seasons with the Packers, but the new Jets QB said that New York’s No. 12 belongs to Namath. 
&#8220;I heard what he said about unretiring his number, but to me, 12 is Broadway Joe,&#8221; Rodgers said.

Rodgers was drafted by the Packers out of the University of California in 2005. After sitting under Favre for a few years, he became the starting quarterback in 2008 after Favre&#8217;s trade. Just two years later, Rodgers led the Packers to their fourth Super Bowl title in 2011. The quarterback continued his dominance in the NFL, winning four MVPs and setting passing records. Last season, Rodgers <a href="https://www.nfl.com/news/packers-qb-aaron-rodgers-becomes-fifth-to-throw-for-500-career-tds" target="_blank" rel="noopener">became</a> the fifth quarterback in NFL history to throw for 500 touchdowns.
Hall of Fame Jets QB Joe Namath reportedly gave Rodgers his blessing to wear No. 12 since that&#8217;s the number Rodgers donned with the Packers, but Rodgers is expected to wear No. 8 — the number he wore in college — when he takes the field for the Jets, a source told ESPN.

Packers Star Aaron Rodgers Traded To New York Jets

The attorney for NFL Hall of Fame quarterback <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brett Favre</a> told The Daily Wire’s “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/crain-and-company" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Crain and Company</a>” podcast Monday that his client has an open and shut case against two of the biggest names in sports media. 
Eric Herschmann joined the hosts of the sports podcast to discuss Favre’s recent legal challenges stemming from allegations that the former Green Bay Packers star misused state welfare funds to help build a volleyball facility for his alma mater, Southern Miss, where his daughter played volleyball. Herschmann argued that the state, not Favre, was at fault for mishandling millions of dollars and that sports media personalities Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee defamed his client when discussing the case. 
“Brett never got any of this money. They’re suing him for $5 million that went from the state agency that’s responsible for welfare funds and ended up in the pocket of another state agency, Southern Miss, and there’s some way they think that’s theft,” Herschmann argued.  
“There may be a problem within Mississippi … but this really has nothing to do with Brett,” the attorney added. Immediately after discovering the funds were taken from the state welfare agency, Favre returned the money, according to Herschmann.
Last September, former Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Human Services John Davis pleaded guilty to conspiracy and theft relating to the $77 million welfare scandal, which is Mississippi’s largest public corruption case ever, <a href="https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/brett-favre-scandal-explained-ex-nfl-qb-is-accused-of-misusing-of-mississippi-state-welfare-funds/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to CBS. The Department of Justice accused four others of conspiring with Davis but did not name them. Favre has not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing. 
Following allegations that Favre was involved in the scandal, the Hall of Famer was dragged by Sharpe and McAfee. On his Fox Sports show with Skip Bayless, Sharpe referred to Favre as a “sleazeball” and said the quarterback must be “a sorry mofo to steal from the underserved.” Favre <a href="https://www.pennlive.com/sports/2023/02/brett-favre-suing-shannon-sharpe-pat-mcafee-for-saying-he-was-stealing-from-the-poor-people-of-mississippi.html">claims</a> that McAfee, who hosts his own show on Sirius XM, falsely referred to Favre as a “thief” who stole “from the underprivileged people of Mississippi.”
