President Donald Trump commented on the record cold forecast to hit more than 35 states following a massive winter storm over the next few days, asking on Friday, &#8220;WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???&#8221;
The massive storm is <a href="https://www.foxweather.com/weather-news/rare-potentially-historic-major-winter-storm-wallop-millions-from-south-east-coast">expected</a> to sweep through much of the Great Plains, Southeast, Midwest, and most of the Eastern part of the United States on Saturday and Sunday. Following the storm, a polar vortex will bring Arctic air to many states, according to the forecast.
&#8220;Record Cold Wave expected to hit 40 States. Rarely seen anything like it before,&#8221; Trump wrote on Truth Social. &#8220;Could the Environmental Insurrectionists please explain — WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???&#8221;
Environmental activists argue that global warming is a continuing problem and point to recent <a href="https://www.climate.gov/news-features/understanding-climate/climate-change-global-temperature">increases</a> in the average global surface temperature. Many climate alarmists will also point to major weather events, such as hurricanes and floods, as evidence that global warming is the single biggest threat facing the world.
Unusually cold weather has also been tied to climate change. The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration <a href="https://cpo.noaa.gov/research-links-extreme-cold-weather-in-the-united-states-to-arctic-warming/#:~:text=Accelerated%20Arctic%20warming%2C%20known%20as,cold%20air%20can%20dip%20south.">cited</a> a 2021 study that found climate change increases Arctic polar vortices, which can bring record cold temperatures to the southern United States.
Trump has blasted the climate change and global warming narrative on numerous occasions. Last year, while speaking at the United Nations, Trump called the climate change narrative &#8220;the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.&#8221;
&#8220;You know, it used to be global cooling. If you look back years ago in the 1920s and the 1930s they said global cooling will kill the world. We have to do something,&#8221; Trump <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7Y8_0zAzXc">said</a>. &#8220;Then, they said global warming will kill the world, but then it started getting cooler, so now they just call it climate change &#8230; because if it goes higher or lower, whatever the hell happens there&#8217;s climate change.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world, in my opinion,&#8221; he added.
The global average surface temperature has risen by about 2.32 degrees Fahrenheit above the 20th-century average. Worldwide temperature records began around 1850, making comparisons to worldwide temperatures before the mid-19th century nearly impossible.
At least 14 states have declared emergencies ahead of the weekend&#8217;s winter storm, fearing that large accumulations of ice could knock out power and heat for millions of people. States that have declared emergencies include Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

The vast majority of Americans are no longer willing to pay a $1 monthly fee to supposedly help combat climate change, signaling a major shift in attitude from just years ago.
A poll <a href="https://apnorc.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/EPIC-AP-NORC-Press-Release-FINAL-10.22-1.pdf">released</a> on Thursday from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) found that only 38% of Americans are on board with paying a $1 monthly carbon fee.
Back in 2021, 52% of Americans were willing to pay the supposed climate-fighting fee.
Unsurprisingly, as the hypothetical fee goes up from $1 monthly to $10 or $20, only 3 in 10 Americans are okay with paying up. And only 2 in 10 said they would pay $75 or $100 monthly.
Climate activism has become a key issue for Democrats in recent years. High-profile politicians like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NYC), for example, famously said back in 2019 that the world would end in 12 years if we don&#8217;t drastically address climate change.
“Millennials and people, you know, Gen Z and all these folks that will come after us are looking up and we’re like: ‘The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change and your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it?'&#8221; AOC said.

Failed 2024 Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris was also a <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2023/presidential-candidates-2024-policies-issues/kamala-harris-climate-change/">climate alarmist</a>, calling climate change an existential threat and releasing a $10 trillion climate plan during her 2019 presidential run.
While an increasing number of young Americans now believe that climate change is mostly man-made, Americans in general are just not okay with personally paying any tax or fee to help combat the apparent threat. They are, however, willing to shift payment to energy companies, according to the AP-NORC/EPIC poll.

&#8220;While less than half of Americans support paying a monthly carbon fee on their energy use, 56% support taxing companies for the carbon they emit,&#8221; a press release outlined.
&#8220;About six in 10 Americans say oil and gas companies (62%), the federal government (60%), and large businesses and corporations (58%) bear a great deal or a lot of responsibility. By contrast, 31% say the same about individuals, a drop of 19 percentage points from 50% in 2019,&#8221; the poll found.
Old-school environmental activism, like protecting conservation lands and wildlife, was, however, supported by a vast majority of Americans, at 70%.

Climate change activists are now arguing that simply owning a dog can increase a person’s carbon footprint.
A <a href="https://academic.oup.com/pnasnexus/article/4/6/pgaf191/8159053?login=false">finding</a> published in PNAS Nexus says that, supposedly, people overestimate the climate benefits of activities like recycling or switching light bulbs. At the same time, they underestimate other beneficial impacts, such as taking fewer flights.
“We think, ‘I have to recycle this and it will help the planet,’” Madalina Vlasceanu, an assistant professor of environmental social sciences at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, <a href="https://greatergood.berkeley.edu/article/item/how_climate_messaging_can_backfire_and_how_to_improve_it">told</a> the Greater Good Magazine. “It’s less likely you will hear that if you fly less, that’s the best you can possibly do, lifestyle-wise.”
Another “underestimated” benefit is cutting back on beef intake. According to <a href="https://earth.org/environmental-impact-of-pets/">Earth.org</a>, pets’ meat consumption accounts for 64 million tons of annual carbon dioxide emissions in the United States. That adds up to 25-30% of the environmental impact of meat intake.
In a list of ideas on how to reduce one’s carbon footprint that includes switching to public transport and eating poultry instead of beef, Greater Good Magazine suggested people “opt out of getting a dog.”
Man’s best friend is just the latest victim of climate activists’ propaganda. To them, owning a dog is an activity even dedicated climate change sympathizers engage in without realizing it, and they blame people who aren’t fully dedicated to the cause for furthering these issues.
“People will engage in lifestyle changes when they think it’s easy to do. It’s less important to them if it’s effective,” Vlasceanu said. “For collective action, it is more important to people that the action they engage in will actually result in a meaningful change.”
Though it seems like a lost cause to try and convince people to radically change their lifestyle so it fits a fear-based narrative, activists are not letting up.
“In order to meaningfully address climate change, experts have agreed that we will need lifestyle change and collective action,” Vlasceanu said. “Both of these have to work together. This is a critical part of the pathway to net zero.&#8221;

A recent <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.nature.com/articles/s41586-025-08751-3__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!2LALwW8yKFqPNNaA4xXEG09tMo1LJOZHia3Jgm7nU6ZE2ryt10HNdFNWxTyNT2EeduoQsiTJDKD96FyneHnhD7cM$">study</a> published in the academic journal Nature has been making headlines, claiming that if it were not for major oil and gas companies producing energy between 1991 and 2020, the world would be $28 trillion richer.
Study authors Christopher Callahan, a Stanford University postdoctoral scientist, and Justin Mankin, a Dartmouth College geography professor, authored the study, which was never peer-reviewed and uses a laughably absurd methodology developed by activists whose goal is to do the pseudo-science grunt work for climate change lawsuits against energy producers.
Single events <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/chapter/chapter-11/__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!2LALwW8yKFqPNNaA4xXEG09tMo1LJOZHia3Jgm7nU6ZE2ryt10HNdFNWxTyNT2EeduoQsiTJDKD96FyneCyPoFvO$">cannot</a> be attributed to climate change. Nevertheless, the study goes far beyond the ridiculous in its attempt not only to pin blame solely on individual energy producers but to attach a specific dollar amount to each company. Using dubious assumptions and their unsound “end-to-end” methodology, the authors cooked up an implausible correlation between individual companies and singular weather events alleged to have been caused or exacerbated by global warming. The bogus conclusions are then broken up into specific price tags and assigned to various energy producers.
Chevron, for example, is accused of being responsible for “heat-related losses” totaling $3.6 trillion from 1991 to 2020. Damages assigned to ExxonMobil amounted to $1.91 trillion during the same period, while the tally for Saudi Aramco came to $2.05 trillion. Together, the study blames the world’s energy producers for $28 trillion in damages. It would be an understatement to say that neither the study, nor its underlying assumptions, nor its conclusions should be accorded any credibility.
Given the elaborate contortions necessary to arrive at the study’s obviously preconceived conclusions, one might wonder what the motivation was to concoct it in the first place. The authors leave an enormous clue in their acknowledgements, in which they lavish <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.nature.com/articles/s41586-025-08751-3*Ack1__;Iw!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!2LALwW8yKFqPNNaA4xXEG09tMo1LJOZHia3Jgm7nU6ZE2ryt10HNdFNWxTyNT2EeduoQsiTJDKD96FyneHYs_i-c$">praise</a> upon individuals associated with the notorious law firm Sher Edling LLP for their help with the study. Sher Edling was created for the sole purpose of waging lawfare with the intent to financially destroy energy companies. While Sher Edling has worked with states and municipalities in initiating dozens of lawsuits attempting to set climate policy in courtrooms, none to date have been successful.
If just one of the firm’s lawsuits succeeds, it is expected to take up to a 30% chunk of an award estimated to be in the billions of dollars. Because the firm is <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/freebeacon.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/2024.10.07-Sher-Edling-Memo.pdf__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!2LALwW8yKFqPNNaA4xXEG09tMo1LJOZHia3Jgm7nU6ZE2ryt10HNdFNWxTyNT2EeduoQsiTJDKD96FyneMLb-kWH$">bankrolled</a> by millions of dollars in dark money funneled through far-Left organizations, its attacks are limitless — and so is its ability to buy studies supporting its conclusions and the fat payday they covet. Sher Edling has acknowledged commissioning made-for-litigation studies before. Named partner Vic Sher described working with scientist-for-hire Richard Heede during a 2017 talk at UCLA. That study, much like the new Nature research, purports to connect major energy providers with specific emissions activity.
A more honest study would have acknowledged the truly beneficial role that energy plays in our economy and everyday lives. We depend on fossil fuel energy for everything from the quality of our lives to our national security. It is so dependable that we rarely even consider that everything we eat, wear, buy, or sell depends on energy. It’s there to take us places and to cool and heat our homes. Smart devices, paint, asphalt, and plastic containers are just a few objects in our daily lives made from petroleum. The study would be more credible if it concluded the truth: that fossil fuels have contributed trillions of dollars in value and made human flourishing possible.
Several legacy news outlets — many of which <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/media-provide-no-scrutiny-study-claiming-oil-companies-made-world-28__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!2LALwW8yKFqPNNaA4xXEG09tMo1LJOZHia3Jgm7nU6ZE2ryt10HNdFNWxTyNT2EeduoQsiTJDKD96FyneDRJ0tH9$">accept funds from anti-fossil fuel advocacy organizations</a> to write about global warming — reported on the Nature study while failing to note its utterly discrediting connection to Sher Edling. As we move into the warmer summer weather, we can expect more such studies and uncritical news stories.
Studies lacking basic integrity like the one published in Nature are why President Trump’s recent executive order “<a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/05/restoring-gold-standard-science/__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!2LALwW8yKFqPNNaA4xXEG09tMo1LJOZHia3Jgm7nU6ZE2ryt10HNdFNWxTyNT2EeduoQsiTJDKD96FyneCG8TS0c$">Restoring Gold Standard Science</a>” is so timely and important. That standard holds that reproducibility, rigor, and unbiased peer review must be maintained. It demands that federal decisions be informed by only the most credible, reliable, and impartial scientific evidence available. Absolutely nothing about the Nature study meets the gold standard of science.

Two <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/climate-change" target="_blank" rel="noopener">global warming</a> protesters who threw cans of tomato soup over the glass frame of Vincent Van Gogh’s “Sunflower&#8221; painting have been sentenced to time in prison for their actions.
On Friday, a London court sentenced Anna Holland, 22, and Phoebe Plummer, 23, from the activist group Just Stop Oil, to two years and 20 months in prison for their so-called protest against fossil fuels at a museum in London in 2022, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/27/climate/just-stop-oil-climate-activists-prison-van-gough-soup-intl/index.html">CNN</a> reported.
Both Holland and Plummer were found guilty of criminal damage to the pieces of art&#8217;s gold-colored frame.  Judge Christopher Hehir blasted the two for their actions against the “cultural treasure,” which he said could have been “seriously damaged or even destroyed” by them by throwing soup on the paintings and then glueing their hands to the museum wall. The “Sunflowers” painting is valued at nearly $85 million.
“Soup might have seeped through the glass. You couldn’t have cared less if the painting was damaged or not,” Hehir said in court. “You had no right to do what you did to ‘Sunflowers.’”

Plummer was also sentenced to an additional 3 months in prison for her part in a “slow march” in the road in October 2023 in London.
“You clearly think your beliefs give you the right to commit crimes when you feel like it,” Hehir said. “You do not.”

Shortly after the sentences were handed down, more vandals from the same protest group shared a clip of three peeople  throwing cans of soup over the glass on not one but two Vincent Van Gogh paintings “in the &#8216;Poets and Lovers&#8217; exhibition at the National Gallery,” per the post on <a href="https://x.com/JustStop_Oil/status/1839670072530317423">X</a>.
The London judge is the same person who handed down sentences in July to five other so-called climate activists in the U.K. from Just Stop Oil or its allied group, Extinction Rebellion.
The court found the vandals guilty of “conspiring intentionally to cause a public nuisance,” after it had recruited people to climb structures along the M25 — a major traffic route around London — in November 2022, the outlet noted.
Hehir sentenced four out of five of the activists to four-year jail terms, while the group’s co-founder, Roger Hallam, was handed a five year sentence.

Former Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) died Tuesday morning after a long career in government, becoming one of the most vocal critics of heavy-handed environmental regulation.
The Oklahoma Republican is perhaps best remembered for the time he <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3E0a_60PMR8" target="_blank" rel="noopener">brought</a> a snowball onto the Senate floor to mock global warming.
&#8220;In case we have forgotten, because we keep hearing that 2014 has been the warmest year on record, I ask the chair, you know what this is?&#8221; Inhofe said during a floor speech in February 2015 as he produced a snowball from a bag beside his podium.

At the time, temperatures in the nation’s capital had sunk below freezing.
Inhofe called climate change a “hoax” and frequently sounded off against the global warming narrative, arguing that human activity does not cause major temperature changes.
He chaired the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee for two years, during which time he challenged the climate change narrative in favor of what he called &#8220;sound science.&#8221;
Inhofe fiercely criticized the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), at one point <a href="https://archive.ph/20110505010803/http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">comparing</a> the agency to a &#8220;Gestapo bureaucracy.&#8221;
During a floor speech in 2003, Inhofe promised to &#8220;expose the most powerful, most highly financed lobby in Washington, the far left environmental extremists.&#8221;
&#8220;Wake up, America. With all the hysteria, all the fear, all the phony science, could it be that manmade global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people? I believe it is,&#8221; Inhofe <a href="https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CREC-2003-07-28/html/CREC-2003-07-28-pt1-PgS10012.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> during his remarks, which lasted for two hours.
&#8220;And if we allow these detractors of everything that has made America great, those ranging from the liberal Hollywood elitists to those who are in it for the money, if we allow them to destroy the foundation, the greatness of the most highly industrialized nation in the history of the world, then we don&#8217;t deserve to live in this one nation under God,&#8221; he said.
Some of Inhofe&#8217;s staffers went on to serve in the EPA during the Trump administration, where they continued to work to roll back excessive environmental regulations.
Inhofe was reviled by climate change activists and others, many of whom celebrated his death on social media on Tuesday, making jokes about snowballs in hell.

Inhofe was the longest-serving senator from Oklahoma and was in office for 29 years from 1994 until he retired last year.

On Friday, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden administration</a> announced its latest move to weaken U.S. energy independence as the Department of Interior announced that it will propose a plan that will generate &#8220;the fewest oil and gas lease sales in history&#8221; for offshore drilling over the next five years or so.
Why? Well, to protect us from climate change, the Biden administration claims.
&#8220;The Proposed Final Program includes a maximum of three potential oil and gas lease sales – the fewest oil and gas lease sales in history – in the Gulf of Mexico Program Area scheduled in 2025, 2027, and 2029,&#8221; DOI <a href="https://www.doi.gov/pressreleases/reflecting-americas-rapid-and-accelerating-shift-clean-energy-interior-department" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a press release. &#8220;In compliance with the terms of the [Inflation Reduction Act], these three proposed lease sales are the minimum number that will enable the Interior Department to continue to expand its offshore wind leasing program through 2030.&#8221;
According to the DOI, this move is &#8220;reflecting America’s rapid and accelerating shift to clean energy.&#8221; Of course, it&#8217;s not really &#8220;reflecting&#8221; anything. It&#8217;s more evidence that the Biden administration is forcing green energy down the American people&#8217;s throats — no matter what it costs.

Indeed, last fall the president relaxed sanctions on Venezuela, allowing Chevron to pump oil in the socialist state. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/03/07/kamala-harris-pete-buttigieg-slammed-amid-high-gas-prices/">once cheekily remarked</a> that if Americans simply bought an electric vehicle, they would not have to worry about high gas prices — as if working moms and dads have an extra $50,000 lying around to do so.
Ultimately, the Biden administration seeks a green energy utopia that will never come.
They are content with using federal power to squash &#8220;bad&#8221; industries, as they see it, and using taxpayer money to prop up &#8220;good&#8221; industries.
Companies with connections to Biden advisor John Podesta — tasked with allocating billions toward green energy — will benefit greatly. The &#8220;rapid and accelerating shift&#8221; to clean energy will reportedly cost $1 trillion. In turn, the American people will suffer. It&#8217;s all so dirty.

Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sen-dianne-feinstein-dies-at-90" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passed away</a>, and while there is plenty in her decades-long senatorial career to scrutinize, there’s one shining moment that deserves special attention: The time she put a bunch of global warming-indoctrinated kids in their place. 
In <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-far-left-group-uses-kids-pressure-feinstein-ryan-saavedra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">February of 2019</a>, the far-Left Sunrise Movement paid a visit to Feinstein’s office in hopes of convincing California’s senior senator to support Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Ed Markey’s Green New Deal. It didn’t quite go the way the group expected. 
While protesting to Feinstein that only 12 years remained to take bold action against climate change, the group of youngsters demanded that she vote according to their wishes. Feinstein stood with her arms crossed and gave those kids a wake-up call. 
“You know what’s interesting about this group?” Feinstein said to them while standing defiant. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I know what I’m doing. You come in here and you say it has to be my way or the highway. I don’t respond to that.”

You can see the kids’ faces change from a look of exuberance to melancholy as they realize that Feinstein won’t budge. 
At one point, a teenager said, &#8220;I hear what you are saying, but we&#8217;re the people who voted for you. You&#8217;re supposed to listen to us.&#8221;
“How old are you?” Feinstein calmly said back.
“Sixteen, I can’t vote,” the teenager replied.
“Well, you didn’t vote for me,” the elected official responded. 
An older woman in the group tried to appeal to Feinstein’s position as a grandmother in a whiny monologue claiming that Feinstein’s alternative to the Green New Deal didn’t go far enough in protecting future generations.

FLASHBACK: The Late Dianne Feinstein Gives It To Global Warming-Indoctrinated Kids

Amidst duel crises of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/massachusetts-activates-the-national-guard-to-deal-with-influx-of-illegal-aliens" target="_blank" rel="noopener">illegal immigration</a> and rising <a href="https://www.mass.gov/news/massachusetts-opioid-related-overdose-deaths-rose-25-percent-in-2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">drug overdoses</a>, Massachusetts Democratic Governor Maura Healey has decided to crack down on the real culprit of the Bay State&#8217;s problems: Single-use plastic bottles.
Monday morning, the governor announced at The Clinton Global Initiative in New York City that she will be banning state agencies from purchasing single-use plastic bottles because climate change demands it.
&#8220;We know that plastic waste, plastic production are among the leading threats to our oceans, our climate, and environmental justice. In government, we have an obligation — we also have an opportunity — to not only stop contributing to this damage but to chart a better path forward,&#8221; Healey <a href="https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/gov-healey-to-ban-all-state-agencies-from-purchasing-single-use-plastic-bottles/3138580/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
There are some buzzwords in that statement that should be broken down before moving on to a parting thought about Healey and her ilk&#8217;s &#8220;concern&#8221; about the planet.
As <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-climate-endgame-a-50-trillion-bridge-to-racial-equity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">previously discussed</a>, climate or environmental &#8220;justice&#8221; can commonly be taken to mean the race-based redistribution of wealth. Indeed, just last month Healey announced millions in taxpayer funding toward green energy projects and jobs in &#8220;environmental justice&#8221; communities. What does that mean? Well, here are the criteria to <a href="https://www.mass.gov/info-details/environmental-justice-populations-in-massachusetts#what-is-an-environmental-justice-population?-" target="_blank" rel="noopener">qualify</a> as an &#8220;EJ&#8221; in Massachusetts, per the state government:
<ol>
<li>the annual median household income is 65 percent or less of the statewide annual median household income</li>
<li>minorities make up 40 percent or more of the population</li>
<li>25 percent or more of households identify as speaking English less than &#8220;very well&#8221;</li>
<li>minorities make up 25 percent or more of the population and the annual median household income of the municipality in which the neighborhood is located does not exceed 150 percent of the statewide annual median household income</li>
</ol>
So, as readers can see, green energy funding is, to reiterate, often just a vehicle for the mass redistribution of wealth along racial and ethnic lines. It&#8217;s no different in the Bay State.
On Monday, Healey also told the crowd at CGI, &#8220;In our coastal state, we know climate change is our biggest threat. We also believe that taking action is our greatest opportunity, an opportunity to secure a safe, prosperous, and sustainable future.&#8221;
One has to wonder how many folks flew on private jets to that meeting in New York City. Something tells me that Healey won&#8217;t be banning state travel via gas-guzzling modes of transportation anytime soon. Nor does it seem that she offered her worldly peers any chastisement for their use of fossil fuels to gallivant around the globe.

President Joe Biden spent part of his overseas trip wringing his hands over the possibility that global temperatures could rise by 1.5°, calling the prospect &#8220;more frightening than nuclear war.&#8221;
Biden made the comments from a Hanoi, Vietnam, press conference – during which he also referred to those who didn&#8217;t buy into climate alarmism as &#8220;lying dog-faced pony soldiers&#8221; and claimed that he&#8217;d borrowed the line (<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-joe-biden-calls-a-female-voter-a-lying-dog-faced-pony-soldier" target="_blank" rel="noopener">which he&#8217;s used before</a>) from an old John Wayne movie.

Biden first called on his Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry, who he said had forgotten more about emissions than most could ever learn.
&#8220;Correct me if I get this wrong, John, but I&#8217;m quite sure I&#8217;m right,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And that is that there&#8217;s more carbon absorbed from the air into the Amazon region, into the ground — the ground — than emitted in the entire United States on the same basis.&#8221;
&#8220;Now imagine if people go in and do what we did, 150-200 years ago — and cut down the forest and start farming in that area,&#8221; Biden continued, going on to say that the larger and wealthier nations should be doing what they could to prevent developing nations from employing those same strategies.
&#8220;In addition to helping the environment overall — and the only existential threat humanity faces, even more frightening than a  — than a nuclear war, is global warming going above 1.5° in the next 20, ten years,&#8221; Biden added. &#8220;It would be real trouble, There&#8217;s no way back from that.&#8221;
During the same press conference, Biden referred to &#8220;climate deniers&#8221; as &#8220;lying, dog-faced pony soldiers&#8221; — a line he&#8217;s used before and claims he picked up from a John Wayne film.

But despite Biden&#8217;s insistence that he stole the line from the Duke, TMZ <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/09/10/president-biden-john-wayne-dog-faced-pony-soldier-again/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the quote — as Biden delivered it — does not actually exist. Instead, it appears to be a strange mash-up of John Wayne lines crossed with a 1952 Tyrone Power film titled &#8220;Pony Soldier.&#8221;

&#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/global-warming" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Global warming</a>&#8221; is out, &#8220;global boiling&#8221; is in, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced Thursday.
“Humanity is in the hot seat,” Guterres <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/science/2023/jul/27/scientists-july-world-hottest-month-record-climate-temperatures" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> at a press conference. “For vast parts of North America, Asia, Africa and Europe, it is a cruel summer. For the entire planet, it is a disaster. And for scientists, it is unequivocal – humans are to blame.&#8221;
The science is settled, according to Guterres, but it would seem the fear-based propaganda hasn&#8217;t worked in scaring enough of the world into submission. And so, Guterres and his team have changed the talking points.
“All this is entirely consistent with predictions and repeated warnings. The only surprise is the speed of the change. Climate change is here, it is terrifying, and it is just the beginning,&#8221; he said. &#8220;The era of global warming has ended; the era of global boiling has arrived.&#8221;

It&#8217;s easy to imagine that Guterres and the gang at the UN have a yellow notepad that looks something like this:

Global boiling?</blockquote>
Would it surprise you to find out that Guterres is the former president of the Socialist International and a firm believer that the planet can only be saved by a team of &#8220;experts&#8221; and government control?
No, it probably wouldn&#8217;t surprise you; you&#8217;re a Daily Wire reader equipped with critical thinking skills. It&#8217;s easy to draw those conclusions if you pay attention.
Yet, it&#8217;s worth <a href="https://www.socialistinternational.org/fileadmin/uploads/si/Documents/Congresses/Paris_1999/AG_Address_Paris_1999.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reviewing</a> anyway that in 1999, Guterres gave an address outlining his desire for global socialism, and how his vision for the world would depend upon international organizations like the UN, global regulations, and cooperation between non-government actors.
He ended his speech, saying, &#8220;Dear friends and dear comrades &#8230;&#8217;We must not abandon utopia because the antagonism between ideas and reality is both the major dilemma of democratic socialism and its fascinating driving force.'&#8221;
Guterres is still pursuing that &#8220;utopia&#8221; and is using &#8220;global boiling&#8221; to enact it — with a sense of urgency, too. Don&#8217;t think, just do it, Guterres seems to be saying.
&#8220;It is still possible to limit global temperature rise to 1.5C and avoid the very worst of climate change but only with dramatic, immediate climate action,&#8221; he said Thursday. &#8220;We have seen some progress &#8212; a robust rollout of renewables and some positive steps from sectors such as shipping &#8212; but none of this is going far enough or fast enough. Accelerating temperatures demand accelerated action.&#8221;
Yet Guterres is wrong. The experts are not all-seeing Gods who can predict the future, much less the weather. As best-selling author George Gilder has long touted, the sort of central planning supported by Guterres cannot account for &#8220;human creativity, which always comes as a surprise to us. If creativity didn’t come as a surprise, we wouldn’t need it, and socialism would work.&#8221;
What can work?
Gilder is out with a new book, titled &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Life-after-Capitalism-George-Gilder/dp/1684512247" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Life After Capitalism</a>.&#8221; The book isn&#8217;t against capitalism — rather it argues that its critics and many of its defenders get capitalism wrong. The driving force of capitalism is not greed, rather it&#8217;s &#8220;creativity and faith in the future.&#8221;
In the book, which casts doubts on global <del datetime="2023-07-27T23:03:02+00:00">warming</del> boiling, Gilder writes, &#8220;Let&#8217;s assume, hypothetically, that Co2 somehow becomes a problem. Capitalism deals with problems by pursuing opportunities.&#8221;
Socialism deals with problems through more government control.
&#8220;Government mandates and directorates and global resets will not shape the future,&#8221; Gilder predicted in &#8220;Life After Capitalism.&#8221;
&#8220;They can only retard progress, and only so far as we let them, if we live in democratic countries. What will really shape the future is human creativity, and a new wave of technological entrepreneurs,&#8221; he added.
Gilder also warned, &#8220;More than ever in America, we face the prospect of a life after capitalism in its most negative sense: a life of scarcity, deprivation, and fear.&#8221;
And that is exactly what Guterres has to offer: Our time left to save the planet is scarce — so is clean air. So we must deprive ourselves of modern technologies, conveniences, and abundant resources of energy. If you don&#8217;t, everybody you know will die from &#8220;global boiling.&#8221; The experts will save the day.
What a load of bunk. Socialists never change, but the words they use to sell their ideology does.
