There aren&#8217;t a lot of guarantees in the criminal justice system. But for a long time now, there&#8217;s been at least one thing you can be pretty sure of — if you kill someone else in self-defense, there&#8217;s a good chance you&#8217;re going to be charged with murder.
Trayvon Martin called George Zimmerman a cracker right before pounding his head into the pavement, and famously, the entire country — including the president of the United States — determined immediately that George Zimmerman was the bad guy. And of course, Kyle Rittenhouse very nearly had to spend the rest of his life in prison for the crime of defending himself against several people who tried to kill him, including a pedophile who just got out of a mental hospital and an Antifa footsoldier who drew a handgun on him.
Everyone&#8217;s heard of these cases because in both instances, there was a clear racial angle to push. Even though he didn&#8217;t kill any black people, the Kyle Rittenhouse incident happened in the context of BLM mobs torching cities. That&#8217;s why he became an instant target. George Zimmerman, for his part, gave Barack Obama a chance to talk about how systemically racist America is. So his case was useful for a moment as well.
But there are many self-defense cases that don&#8217;t make the mainstream news, at least not nearly to the same extent. And all of them, to one degree or another, contradict the prevailing media narrative, so the corporate press ignores them. But they&#8217;re important to talk about, in part because they show how prosecutors and witnesses are willing to lie to imprison people who exercise one of their most fundamental rights, which is the right of self-defense. And how casually they will destroy people’s lives for the crime of trying to preserve their own lives.
So I&#8217;m going to go in-depth into one of these cases, which is still ongoing and hasn&#8217;t gotten nearly as much attention as it deserves. Plus, it&#8217;s the premiere day for &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/judged-by-matt-walsh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">JUDGED</a>,&#8221; so a deep-dive on a court case seemed fitting.

Here&#8217;s the background.
In the summer of 2022, a man in his early 50&#8217;s named Nicolae Miu was out tubing with a group of people, including his wife, in the Apple River in Wisconsin. Apparently a member of his party dropped their phone somewhere in the river, and Nicolae Miu left his group and went looking for it. That&#8217;s when, around 3:40 p.m., Miu encountered a couple of additional tubing groups — one consisting of a bunch of teenagers, and the other including some adults.
Most of the involved parties are under the influence of alcohol and other drugs to varying degrees. They began exchanging some words. Here&#8217;s what happened next:

It&#8217;s clear from this footage that, throughout the entire incident right up until their friend gets stabbed, the crowd of teenagers doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything, or fearful for their lives in any way. And that makes sense. Miu is much older than they are, and, though they wouldn’t have known this, he just had quadruple bypass surgery.
Meanwhile, these teenagers are mostly football players in prime physical condition. So they appear to be very much the aggressors as they jeer and taunt the older man and accuse him of &#8220;looking for a little girl.&#8221;
Then something happens off-camera. An adult woman, who came over from another tubing group, gets in the man&#8217;s face. He apparently makes some sort of contact with her, and the mob pounces. They push the man and begin hitting him repeatedly after he goes down in the water. Meanwhile the woman is fine — she&#8217;s not hurt in any way. Only after the man fatally stabs one of his attackers — a teenager named Isaac Schuman — does the mood change. Schuman bled out on the scene. The man also stabbed several others who were attacking him.

Based on these facts, within 48 hours, the D.A. charged Nicolae Miu with first-degree murder. What&#8217;s followed, nearly two years later, is nothing short of a train wreck.
There are air-tight cases, close cases, and then there&#8217;s this. Pretty much every prosecution witness has demonstrated very clearly that they&#8217;re either lying or completely unsure of what happened two years ago. This is such a debacle that very real questions need to be asked about why this case was brought, and why these prosecutors still have jobs.
I&#8217;ll start with the incredible testimony of a witness named Larrion Davis, who recorded some of the footage of the incident. Under cross-examination (from one of Kyle Rittenhouse&#8217;s old lawyers, incidentally), Davis admits he lied to the police about why the group was upset with Miu. Watch:

It&#8217;s hard to believe this is a real interaction between two humans. 
Lawyer: &#8220;You said you saw him taking pictures of the girls.&#8221; 
Witness: &#8220;Yes, I said that.&#8221; 
Lawyer: &#8220;Did you see it?&#8221; 
Witness: &#8220;No, I said it.&#8221;
To be clear, we&#8217;re talking about falsely accusing a man of pedophilia, two years after the fact. And the only excuse he can come up with for lying is, &#8220;There was a lot going on.&#8221;
Keep in mind, this is a prosecution witness. This should be the end of the case right here. This is the clearest possible evidence that the people Miu confronted decided, long after the fact, to come up with a story to justify their aggression towards him. They have no credibility whatsoever.
You&#8217;ll remember in the video, someone shouted that Miu was &#8220;looking for a girl.&#8221; But on cross-examination, another witness, Jawahn Cockfield, admitted that the claim wasn&#8217;t based on any evidence whatsoever. Watch:

So they just called this man a &#8220;raper&#8221; who&#8217;s interested in little girls, as a way of scoping out the situation. That&#8217;s their way of gathering intel, apparently. And then, elsewhere in the testimony, Cockfield claims to be shocked that the man, in response, turned around and became upset.
None of this makes any sense. And as the trial went on, it continued to make no sense. For example, on cross-examination, it was revealed that the dead teenager&#8217;s best friend, Owen Peloquin, told police — on the day of the incident — that Miu was looking for a lost phone, not underage girls.

Now, two years later, Peloquin&#8217;s memory is suddenly better. And by that, he means his memory is worse. Now he doesn&#8217;t recall the guy ever saying anything about missing a phone. And he had no way of figuring out how to tell the police any of this, because he&#8217;s just 19-years-old. And 19-year-olds are apparently completely unable to use Google or cellphones or dial 911, evidently.
These are strange lapses in the prosecution&#8217;s case, to say the least. And it keeps going. Peloquin also testifies that he simply can&#8217;t remember the fact that one of his friends was shouting &#8220;For the culture&#8221; to egg on a fight. Watch:

Admittedly, I had to look this one up, because I&#8217;m not a teenager. If you go on Urban Dictionary, you&#8217;ll find that &#8220;for the culture&#8221; <a href="https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=For%20the%20Culture">means</a>,
<blockquote>When you do something you know you usually wouldn&#8217;t have done and are doing it purely for the hype factor of going against your usual judgment to instead try something new and different.</blockquote>
This is what one of the &#8220;witnesses&#8221; was shouting as the mob descended on this 52-year-old man.
This is the kind of fact that, if you&#8217;re trying to make Nicolae Miu out to be the aggressor, is kind of inconvenient. So Owen just pretends he doesn&#8217;t remember it happening. Problem solved, according to the prosecutors.
These kinds of inconsistencies are continuing to pile up as the trial goes along. But a few facts were definitively established. One is that, contrary to what some of these teenagers said, Miu never knocked a woman down at any point during this altercation. She was captured on the recording, standing upright and holding her phone.
Additionally, Miu never stabbed anyone until he was in the water, surrounded by a mob that was punching him in the face. So Nicolae Miu waited until his life was in danger before he used deadly force.
And once he began stabbing people, he didn&#8217;t indiscriminately start swinging. Instead, he only targeted the people who were targeting him — including Isaac Schuman, who put his hands on Miu&#8217;s neck. Watch:

It&#8217;s not an exaggeration to say that the prosecution has not presented a single witness to bolster its claim that this was first-degree murder. Instead, every single witness rebutted their argument. 
Here for example is another witness, A.J. Martin, who concedes that ganging up on a man in his 50s and beating him may, in fact, not deescalate an already-tense situation:

So far, we have the prosecution establishing the following facts: Most of its witnesses are liars. It was completely reasonable for this 50-year-old man to fear for his life. One of the teenagers had his hand on this man&#8217;s neck while the others pummeled him from behind. And that they all lied about him being a pedophile, two years after the fact.
This is not exactly the kind of case it takes Perry Mason to win. But somehow, once again, things got worse for the prosecution. Yet another witness claimed that the group was &#8220;afraid&#8221; of Nicolae Miu, but began to feel a little more secure as other adults began surrounding him as well. So he&#8217;s presenting this image of a deranged 50-year-old man who&#8217;s freaking him out. Then the defense attorney shows a photo of the witness looking extremely enthusiastic and not remotely afraid. Watch:

That&#8217;s not the face of someone who&#8217;s afraid for his life, and who&#8217;s grateful that other adults have appeared to deal with a threat. Everyone looking at this footage knows that. This is yet another prosecution witness who is lying, overtly, on the stand.
I could go on for another hour dissecting every other aspect of this case, and how totally disastrous it&#8217;s been for the prosecution, but you get the point. 
In no sane country is this a first-degree murder case. And by the way, there is no &#8220;duty to retreat&#8221; in Wisconsin, but even if there were, there was no real chance for this man to get away once the mob descended on him. This is a completely unjustifiable prosecution no matter how you look at it.
It was brought for the same reason that most other self-defense claims are brought — to terrorize the rest of the population into submission. Remember how the Rittenhouse prosecutor said &#8220;everyone takes a beating now and then?&#8221; We&#8217;re pretty close to the prosecutors in this case saying the same thing. That&#8217;s more or less their argument at this point — that 52-year-old men should just accept their mob beatings, rather than defend themselves. But that is obviously outrageous. 
In a sane society, if you harass and assault someone, whatever happens next — whatever violence erupts as a result of your choices — is your fault. If you don’t want to get shot or stabbed, don’t go around trying to bully random strangers just for fun.
The reason this case isn&#8217;t on every mainstream channel is that the mob happened to be white, for the most part. But this is every bit as serious and coordinated an attack on the right to self-defense as the Rittenhouse and Zimmerman trials were. The judge should dismiss the charges. The prosecutors should be disbarred, and new prosecutors should consider looking into perjury charges for some of these witnesses. 
If none of that happens — and if somehow the jury convicts — then we can say with certainty that, just a couple years after the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, the right of self-defense has been suspended in the state of Wisconsin. Everyone living there should either move, or prepare accordingly. And the rest of us should do everything we can to preserve our fundamental rights while we still have them.

A man with a long-standing beef against the Annapolis, Maryland, newspaper Capital Gazette entered the paper&#8217;s headquarters with a shotgun and murdered five staffers. It represents the deadliest attack on U.S. reporters in modern history.
Before learning about the suspect&#8217;s mental issues and his long-standing feud with the newspaper, some in the media blamed President Donald Trump. After all, critics said, Trump routinely denounces &#8220;fake news&#8221; as an existential threat to our republic. Connect the dots, they said. Blame Trump! CNN aired a montage of Trump&#8217;s attacks on the media. Rob Cox, a Reuters editor, tweeted: &#8220;This is what happens when @RealDonaldTrump calls journalists the enemy of the people. Blood is on your hands, Mr. President.&#8221; Another reporter, who later resigned, even falsely tweeted that the shooter was wearing a MAGA cap. How do you get that wrong?
How dare the President call out the anti-Republican media for its decades of biased reporting? Pew Research, in 2013, found that only 7 percent of reporters called themselves Republican. How dare Trump attack The New York Times, which has not endorsed a Republican presidential candidate since 1956? How dare Trump go after The Washington Post, which has never endorsed a Republican presidential candidate. And how dare Trump refer to CNN &#8212; one of whose &#8220;news&#8221; anchors, Don Lemon, has called Trump &#8220;a racist&#8221; &#8212; as fake news.
Did the media hold President Barack Obama responsible for the murders of 10 cops in Dallas, Baton Rouge and New York City, all at the hands of black men apparently incited by their belief that cops murder blacks without consequence? After all, Obama frequently criticized the police and bemoaned America&#8217;s racism as &#8220;part of our DNA.&#8221;
President Obama&#8217;s anti-cop rhetoric started right after he took office. Obama&#8217;s friend, a black Harvard professor, was arrested in his home. Professor Henry Louis Gates, back from a trip, couldn&#8217;t open his front door and reportedly asked his driver to help. A neighbor, observing two people trying to force open the front door of Gates&#8217; home, called 911. But when the cops arrived and asked Gates to exit the home so he could determine its ownership, Gates mouthed off and was briefly arrested. Obama said, &#8220;The Cambridge police acted stupidly.&#8221; The Cambridge Police Superior Officers Association and the Cambridge Police commissioner insisted the officer followed protocol. Obama&#8217;s statement infuriated officers all across the country and set up a template for the Obama administration: Cops engage in unlawful anti-black racial profiling.
Obama and his attorney general also offered verbal support to the so-called Black Lives Matter movement that argues, without facts, that blacks are regularly and illegally profiled by an institutionally, systemically and structurally &#8220;racist&#8221; criminal justice system. It did not help that during the first six years of the Obama administration, the anti-police incendiary Rev. Al Sharpton, according to The Washington Post, visited the White House 72 times. What kind of message did that send to the police?
When a Sanford, Florida, neighborhood watch captain, George Zimmerman, shot and killed a black 17-year-old named Trayvon Martin, President Obama promptly sided with the deceased teen, saying, &#8220;If I had a son, he&#8217;d look like Trayvon.&#8221; A jury found Zimmerman not guilty, and one juror later said that during the deliberations, race never came up.
Then there&#8217;s Ferguson. A grim President Obama, at an address before the United Nations, said: &#8220;In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri &#8212; where a young man was killed, and a community was divided. So yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions.&#8221;
But the Ferguson grand jury did not indict the officer who shot and killed Michael Brown, and a Department of Justice report exonerated the cop. Contrary to the lies told by his friend who witnessed the shooting, Michael Brown did not have his hands up when the officer shot and killed him. Brown, did not say, &#8220;Hands up. Don&#8217;t shoot.&#8221; Yet before the investigation even began, Obama&#8217;s BFF, Sharpton, took to the streets of Ferguson yelling, &#8220;No justice, no peace.&#8221;
The DOJ&#8217;s investigation of Ferguson&#8217;s nearly all-white police department criticized its alleged &#8220;institutional racism.&#8221; But its actual findings do not support that conclusion. Ferguson, the investigation noted, is 67 percent black, but 85 percent of its traffic stops involve black drivers. To the DOJ, this 18-point statistical imbalance equals systemic racism. But in New York City, where the department consists mostly officers of color, 55 percent of traffic stops involve a black driver in a city with a 25 percent black population. This is a 30-point statistical imbalance. Wouldn&#8217;t this make the NYPD even more &#8220;institutionally racist&#8221; than the Ferguson PD?
Trump, say the media, has created an atmosphere that puts reporters in danger. Obama often unfairly criticized the police. But the media did not blame Obama for the murder of officers by angry black men consumed with the wrongheaded belief that blacks are victimized by the &#8220;institutional racism&#8221; of the criminal justice system.

The parents of Trayvon Martin are suing The Weinstein Company for at least $150,000 over a TV series about their son that never came to fruition.
Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin filed court papers last week at a federal bankruptcy court in Delaware against the entity, according to the <a href="http://apnews.com/4f307633eda54186839f641927af5bff/Trayvon's-parents-say-Weinstein's-company-owes-them-$150,000">Associated Press</a>. The couple is claiming that the now-bankrupt Weinstein Company, which was formerly run by disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, owes them &#8220;executive producer services&#8221; fees for their work on a TV series about their teen son that has yet to air.
&#8220;The parents claim they are owed $150,000 for their roles as executive producers of a TV series that has been filmed but has yet to be broadcast,&#8221; <a href="http://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/389110-trayvon-martins-parents-file-150k-claim-against-the-weinstein-company">reports</a> The Hill.
In 2012, Trayvon, 17, was shot dead in Florida by 28-year-old neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in self-defense. The case gained national attention due to allegations of racism surrounding Zimmerman, who is Hispanic. Then-President Barack Obama notably fanned the flames, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAPtUfOs7Gs">saying</a>, &#8220;If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon.&#8221; The controversial case is credited with helping to spark the Black Lives Matter movement.
Zimmerman was <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/14/us/george-zimmerman-verdict-trayvon-martin.html">acquitted</a> of the manslaughter charge.
In March, The Weinstein Company filed for bankruptcy after New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D) filed a suit against the business for violating their employees&#8217; rights to be protected from &#8220;pervasive sexual harassment, intimidation, and discrimination.&#8221; Ironically, Schneiderman has since <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/07/nyregion/new-york-attorney-general-eric-schneiderman-abuse.html">resigned</a> from his post for alleged sexual misconduct and harassment claims, ranging from physical abuse to racially-charge verbal abuse, from numerous women.
As noted by the AP, several dozen others from the entertainment world have also sued The Weinstein Company for money.

The left has a bad habit of allowing their protests to descend into rioting and violence, particularly over the last several years. Whether it&#8217;s a police shooting or just being angry about the democratic election of President Donald Trump, destructive riots seem to have become the status quo for the left&#8217;s &#8220;demonstrations.&#8221;
Here are all the leftist violent protests and riots that have occurred over the past several years.
The protests following <a href="http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/BART-Officer-Johannes-Mehserle-to-Take-Stand-in-Oscar-Grant-Civil-Trial-262692861.html">the Oscar Grant shooting</a>. In 2009, a police officer for Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) shot Grant as he was being detained, later claiming that he thought he was firing his taser. Since the shooting involved cop and a black victim, protests ensued in Oakland, CA. The protests quickly disintegrated into <a href="http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Protests-over-BART-shooting-turn-violent-3255351.php">rioting and looting</a>.
Occupy Wall Street. The <a href="http://dailysignal.com/2011/11/08/morning-bell-occupy-wall-street-gets-more-violent/">left-wing movement</a> in 2011 spawned numerous sexual assaults, rapes, destruction of property and all kinds other shocking and nonsensical violence.
The riots in <a href="http://abc7news.com/archive/9172087/">Oakland</a> and <a href="http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-23332602">Los Angeles</a> after George Zimmerman was acquitted in the Trayvon Martin shooting. In Oakland, the protesters were chucking bottles and rocks at police officers and attacked a reporter, photographer and TV cameraman. They also slowed down traffic. In Los Angeles, numerous protesters vandalized cars and businesses as well as assaulted people on the street.

Businesses were also vandalized and rioters were throwing cinder blocks at police officers.
The protests that shut down Trump&#8217;s March campaign rally in Chicago, IL. Trump had to cancel his rally due to security concerns, as there were some <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/12/us/trump-rally-in-chicago-canceled-after-violent-scuffles.html">fights</a> between the anti-Trump protesters and Trump supporters, even after the event had been canceled. The rioters attacked police officers and journalists and set police cars, a gas station and a bank ablaze in flames. The riots ensued shortly after Scott&#8217;s death, another case of a black man shot and killed by a police officer. It was the usual scene of rioters throwing objects at police officers and lighting objects on fire. Four officers were injured and one person was shot during the riots. A state of emergency was declared.
The riots in Portland, OR, that ensued following Trump&#8217;s upset victory in November. The protests were <a href="http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2016/11/11/anti-trump-protesters-pepper-sprayed-demonstrations-erupt-across-us/93633154/">reportedly</a> peaceful at first until an anarchist group joined in. The protesters/rioters quickly turned to breaking windows and throwing objects and police officers.
The protests in Washington, D.C. on the weekend of Trump&#8217;s inauguration. A slew of anti-Trump thugs assaulted Trump supporters, injured police officers by throwing bottles and rocks at them and set a limousine fire. The worst moments were highlighted by the Daily Wire <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/12630/11-worst-protest-moments-inauguration-weekend-aaron-bandler">here</a>.

On Monday, 38-year-old Matthew Apperson, the man who shot at George Zimmerman during a road-rage incident in May of 2015, received a 20-year prison term from a district court in Seminole County, Florida. 
Apperson was convicted of second-degree murder, shooting into a vehicle, and armed aggravated assault last month. 
In court, his defense team argued that he acted in self-defense against Zimmerman. The jury didn&#8217;t buy it. 
&#8220;Zimmerman disputed Apperson&#8217;s claim, testifying that Apperson pulled up next to his pickup and shot him &#8212; the bullet missing and striking the passenger side window. Zimmerman suffered minor injuries from the broken glass,&#8221; <a href="http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2016/10/17/george-zimmerman-matthew-apperson-prison-sentencing/92291518/?utm_source=feedblitz&amp;utm_medium=FeedBlitzRss&amp;utm_campaign=usatoday-newstopstories">reports</a> USA Today. Zimmerman managed to walk away from the incident with only minor injuries.
During the trial, the prosecution cited a 911 call made to Lake Mary Police in 2015. In the recording, you can hear the voice of an unidentified male speaker <a href="http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2016/10/17/george-zimmerman-matthew-apperson-prison-sentencing/92291518/?utm_source=feedblitz&amp;utm_medium=FeedBlitzRss&amp;utm_campaign=usatoday-newstopstories">telling</a> the dispatcher the following:

The road-rage incident in May of 2015 wasn&#8217;t the first time Zimmerman and Apperson had engaged in an altercation.
&#8220;Back in September 2014, the two men reportedly shouted at each other, with Apperson claiming Zimmerman threatened to kill him during a confrontation in their vehicles. Apperson &#8212; who called the authorities &#8212; decided not to press charges,&#8221; notes USA Today.

To this day, the half-white, half-Hispanic former neighborhood watchman is widely reviled by the activist-Left and BLM supporters eager to enact revenge.

The Guy Who Shot At George Zimmerman Just Got Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison

&#8220;The ironic part is they made worth it at least worth $250,000. They gave me $250,000,&#8221; said George Zimmerman of the &#8220;Black Lives Matter&#8221; movement and the &#8220;manipulating media,&#8221; crediting both for generating the value of the firearm he used to kill Trayvon Martin.

Describing what he said was collusion of news media and left-wing racial agitation groups, Zimmerman credited the two with benefiting him monetarily via his auctioning of the firearm.

&#8220;You can&#8217;t blame me. I mean, I would&#8217;ve sold it for $350 if that&#8217;s what its value was. The ironic part is they made worth it at least worth $250,000,&#8221; said Zimmerman.

Zimmerman blamed President Barack Obama &#8211; who he described as a &#8220;racist bigot&#8221; &#8211; for allowing black racial nationalists from The Black Panthers to <a href="http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2012/03/26/149399082/new-black-panther-party-offers-10k-bounty-for-george-zimmerman">threaten</a> him with impunity. He added that he would do what he could &#8220;to ensure that Hillary Clinton does not become the leader of the greatest nation on earth.&#8221;

When invited to do so, Zimmerman offered advice to Edward Nero, the Baltimore police officer cleared on Monday of all charges related to the death Freddie Gray. 

&#8220;Keep your head up. Don&#8217;t ever hang your head. You did nothing wrong. You&#8217;ve nothing to be ashamed of. You&#8217;re the victim of a political persecution,&#8221; advised Zimmerman. &#8220;Keep your faith in God. Keep your family close. And keep your core values. Don&#8217;t give up.&#8221;

The 2013 case against him, said Zimmerman, was a product of a dishonest &#8220;political agenda&#8221; combined with ambitions &#8220;political advancement&#8221; among some politicians. Florida&#8217;s Governor Rick Scott (R-FL) was described as a &#8220;weasel,&#8221; &#8220;slimey&#8221; and &#8220;spineless&#8221; by Zimmerman, as he accused the governor of surrendering to the demands of &#8220;a few sit-ins from a few kids in college&#8221; to lay charges against him.

Florida&#8217;s Attorney General Pam Bondi named a special prosecutor, Angela Corey, to prosecute Zimmerman in 2012. Corey, Zimmerman said, had the necessary lack of integrity to go forward with prosecuting him.

&#8220;She knew I was innocent. Her entire staff knew I was innocent and they went on with the persecution, the false prosecution for their own political agenda. She wanted political advancement,&#8221; said Zimmerman.

Responding to Hillary Clinton&#8217;s suggestions that he is a murderer, Zimmerman criticized the former first lady&#8217;s use of Martin&#8217;s mother, Sybrina Fulton, as a surrogate and instrument of racial agitation. &#8220;Hillary Clinton and her lies,&#8221; said Zimmerman, had to be challenged.

&#8220;That can&#8217;t happen again. That can&#8217;t happen to any American ever again,&#8221; said what he described as a political witch hunt which had targeted him.

Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump were said to be &#8220;inciting racial tensions&#8221; by Zimmerman. &#8220;They&#8217;re just capitalizing off of a false racism that they invented themselves solely to make money,&#8221; he said.

The racial agitation of the left, said Zimmerman, had created cottage industries within which lawyers like Crump &#8211; who he described as stupid &#8211; could make careers for themselves and shake down homeowner associations.

&#8220;I&#8217;m Hispanic. I&#8217;ve always identified as Hispanic. English is my second language,&#8221; said Zimmerman, of his own ethnicity. &#8220;I&#8217;m proud of my Hispanic-American heritage. This has nothing to do with race.

In an interview with <a href="http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/05/17/george-zimmerman-taunts-trayvon-martin-s-parents-they-didn-t-raise-their-son-right.html?via=desktop&amp;source=twitter">The Daily Beast</a>, George Zimmerman criticized the way Trayvon Martin&#8217;s parents raised their son.
Zimmerman made the headline-grabbing comments during an interview in which he explained why he had no regrets about killing Martin.
&#8220;They didn&#8217;t raise their son right. He attacked a complete stranger and attempted to kill him,&#8221; Zimmerman said. &#8220;Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin did everything they could to capitalize on her son&#8217;s death. She was never a mother figure to him. Tracy Martin couldn&#8217;t have cared less about their son. He treated him like a dog without a leash.&#8221;

Zimmerman continued, &#8220;I&#8217;m sorry for any parent that has lost a child. That being said, I also believe it&#8217;s their duty to have an internal dialogue to see what they should have done better and what they should have done appropriately.&#8221;
Zimmerman also lamented the fact that he can no longer live as a &#8220;normal&#8221; individual. &#8220;You guys. The media. The masses. The Fulton-Martin family. They took that from me,&#8221; Zimmerman said.
The interview also featured Zimmerman ripping into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Black Lives Matter movement.
&#8220;It&#8217;s about her as an individual,&#8221; Zimmerman said. &#8220;It doesn&#8217;t matter if she was running for president or if she was running her own used car lot, which I think she&#8217;s still unqualified for.&#8221;
While Zimmerman is undecided on if he will vote for real estate mogul Donald Trump, he vowed to &#8220;do whatever it takes to dispel [Clinton&#8217;s] lies and disrupt the Black Lives Matter movement.&#8221;
Zimmerman has been back in the spotlight since he put the gun he used to kill Martin on an <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/5684/george-zimmerman-wants-auction-gun-used-shoot-aaron-bandler">auction site</a>, lauding it as a &#8220;piece of American history&#8221; and pledging to donate the proceeds to fight against Clinton and the Black Lives Matter movement. He is currently on his <a href="http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/trayvon-martin-george-zimmerman/os-george-zimmerman-gun-auction-live-20160517-story.html">third attempt</a> to sell the gun online after the first attempt received too much attention and the second attempt failed due to internet trolls driving the price over $66 million.
The current price of the gun is $137,700 on UnitedGunGroup.com.
The Martin family&#8217;s attorney, Benjamin Crump, did not respond to The Daily Beast&#8217;s request for comment.

George Zimmerman, famous for the self-defense killing of Trayvon Martin, put the 9mm Kel-Tec PF-9 pistol used in the shooting up for auction with a starting bid of $5,000.
Initially Zimmerman put the auction on GunBroker.com but after they decided they didn&#8217;t want his business, United Gun Group offered to host the sale on their site: <a href="http://unitedgungroup.com/auction/detail/auction/9/slug/george-zimmerman-s-gun-used-2-26-12#!prettyPhoto[gallery2]/2/" target="_blank">HERE</a>.
With a starting bid of $5,000 dollars, the <a href="http://bigstory.ap.org/article/450fcd0adf3b495fb69c4b70cd1c677f/million-dollar-bids-shown-gun-killed-trayvon-martin" target="_blank">Associated Press</a> reported that, &#8220;bidding on the gun has swelled past a whopping $65 million as of Friday morning. However, the account for the leading bidder &#8212; dubbed &#8220;Racist McShootface&#8221; &#8212; has since been deleted. So too have other bidding accounts with obviously fake names like &#8220;Weedlord Bonerhitler&#8221; and &#8220;Stonewall McCracker.&#8221; As fast as United Gun Group can identify and remove the fake accounts and bids, however, the auction&#8217;s trolls keep registering new accounts and new bids.&#8221;
In the description on the auction page, Zimmerman writes:

Zimmerman&#8217;s claim that many museums have expressed interest in his gun doesn&#8217;t appear to be true; <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2016/05/12/us/george-zimmerman-gun-auction/">CNN</a> contacted the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. about the gun and they responded: &#8220;We have never expressed interest in collecting George Zimmerman&#8217;s firearm, and have no plans to ever collect or display it in any museums.&#8221;
In an interview with <a href="http://www.fox35orlando.com/news/local-news/140127772-story">WOFL Fox 35</a>, Zimmerman explained that he recently received the gun back from the Department of Justice and defended his actions as being a &#8220;free American.&#8221;
&#8220;I can do what I want with my possessions,&#8221; Zimmerman said, although he pointed out that he&#8217;s received death threats since putting his gun up for auction.
However, the gun is no longer on the auction site. CNN found that the page featuring the weapon now simply reads, &#8220;Sorry, but the item you have requested is no longer in the system&#8221; and nothing shows up after searching &#8220;George Zimmerman&#8221; and &#8220;Trayvon Martin.&#8221; Zimmerman refused to speak to CNN after they called him for comment.

Trayvon Martin&#8217;s birthday is today. And that means that the media have declared a day of mourning for the young man killed at the age of 17, who would have turned 21 today. 
Here&#8217;s what they won&#8217;t tell you.
Martin was born on February 5, 1995, in Florida to parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, who divorced when Martin was four years old. He <a href="http://www.biography.com/people/trayvon-martin-21283721#tragic-death">attended</a> public schools in Florida, including the Dr. Michael M. Krop High School in Miami Gardens. He was suspended three times during his junior year, for tardiness, possession of drug paraphernalia and vandalism.

In October 2011, a video surveillance camera caught Martin writing graffiti on a door, <a href="http://spectator.org/blog/54312/how-miami-school-crime-cover-policy-led-trayvon-martins-death">prompting</a> MDSPD Office Darryl Dunn to search Martin&#8217;s backpack, looking for the marker. Dunn found 12 pieces of women&#8217;s jewelry and a man&#8217;s watch, matching a description of items stolen during the recent burglary of a house roughly half a mile from the school.
Out of high school while serving that third suspension &#8212; a suspension derived from the <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/05/us/trayvon-martin-shooting-fast-facts/">discovery</a> of Martin&#8217;s small plastic bag containing marijuana residue, as well as a marijuana pipe, at the end of February 2012 &#8212; Martin visited his father and his father&#8217;s fiancée, Brandy Green, at Green&#8217;s home at The Retreat at Twin Lakes in Sanford, Florida. Residents of the community had established a neighborhood watch roughly six months before, thanks to a repeated history of burglaries; George Zimmerman was named the program coordinator. In July 2005, Zimmerman had been <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/11/18/list-george-zimmerman-past-run-ins-with-law.html">arrested</a> and accused of resisting an officer, prompting him to enter an alcohol education program.
On February 26, 2012, Zimmerman reported there was a young man peering into windows of homes in the community, who appeared to be on drugs (THC was later found in Martin&#8217;s system during the autopsy). The police dispatcher instructed Zimmerman not to follow Martin. Zimmerman later stated he obeyed the dispatcher, that Martin confronted him and punched him in the face. Witness testimony and physical evidence showed that Martin had straddled Zimmerman and pounded his head into the pavement. Zimmerman shot Martin in the chest. An officer arrived, discovering Martin dead and Zimmerman on the ground, bleeding from multiple wounds to the head and face.
On March 19, the Justice Department and the FBI announced their investigation into Martin&#8217;s death. On March 23, Barack Obama <a href="http://www.politico.com/blogs/politico44/2012/03/obama-if-i-had-a-son-hed-look-like-trayvon-118439">asserted</a>, &#8220;If I had a son, he&#8217;d look like Trayvon,&#8221; adding that the death of Martin required national &#8220;soul-searching.&#8221; On March 24, members from the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) offer a $10,000 reward for the &#8220;capture&#8221; of George Zimmerman. On March 26, protests were held across the country regarding Martin&#8217;s death. On April 3, NBC News apologized for <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/erik-wemple/post/nbc-issues-apology-on-zimmerman-tape-screw-up/2012/04/03/gIQA8m5jtS_blog.html">editing tape</a> to make Zimmerman appear racist. On May 15, a medical report was released showing Zimmerman was diagnosed with a fractured nose, two black eyes and two lacerations on the back of his head, despite media reports that Zimmerman had not been injured.

Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder on April 11, 2012. The defense could have used Florida&#8217;s &#8220;stand your ground&#8221; law, but refused to do so, instead arguing Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense. An all-female jury acquitted him on July 13, 2013, triggering protests around the nation. The Department of Justice could find no evidence of a race-based killing by Zimmerman.
