One of the big problems we have in the West — and this has been true for many years at this point — is the perversion of science.
For at least one decade in the United States, there was a grand delusion that was promoted by nearly every member of the legacy media. It was promoted by universities; it was promoted by Hollywood.
The basic idea was simple: A boy could be a girl. A girl could be a boy. There could be a female brain inside a male body, and vice versa. Sex was not, in fact, defined by biology. It was defined by the soul hovering inside you that might be a different sex than your actual physical body.
This was treated as a fundamental, eternal truth by most people in a position of authority. Why? Because the scientific community decided it was going to back the insanity of the gender theories.
Now it turns out that virtually all of that was just based on absolute nonsense.
According to <a href="https://www.thefp.com/p/were-all-just-winging-it-what-the">The Free Press</a>: 
<blockquote>At their conferences, closed to outsiders and the press, the gender clinicians allowed themselves to speak freely. They spoke about the boys who said they wanted to be girls and the girls who felt they were meant to be boys, and the medical and surgical interventions that would make them appear as the opposite sex. The clinicians also discussed new procedures for a new type of patient—some of them adolescents—who wanted to be made to look as if they had no sex at all. 
In one of the videos, obtained exclusively by The Free Press, from the 2021 conference of the US Professional Association for Transgender Health, Amy Penkin, a social worker with the Transgender Health Program at the Oregon Health &amp; Science University (OHSU) spoke about one such case. Penkin told the audience about Sky, who she described as an 18-year-old recent high school graduate who was living on his own for the first time.
Penkin explained that Sky expressed a desire to look like “a Barbie down there.” Sky, Penkin said, reported “being asexual, never having had sex, and having no desire to have sex in the future.” Indeed, Sky did “not want to feel any pleasurable sensation and hope[d] removal of all erogenous tissue [would] be possible,” according to Penkin.
Not so long ago, a patient like Sky would have been given a psychological evaluation and offered mental health counseling. But in the evolving world of gender medicine, clinicians now want to help young people like Sky achieve their gender goals.
Penkin explained to fellow professionals that requests for procedures that are “nonbinary” are “growing in number.” But the field is still wedded to binary assumptions. This means that procedures such as “nullification” (surgically leaving patients with no external genitals) or “penile preserving vaginoplasty” (surgically crafting a pseudo-vagina underneath the penis) are not as accessible as they should be.
Penkin said that when confronted with a patient like Sky, existing “research” and “standards of care” are “not enough to meet the needs of our patients, and we need to take it to the next level to really think about how we evolve and match the needs of our patients as their needs are being expressed to us.”</blockquote>
Here is Penkin <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-2327-trump-fights-the-climate-change-cult">speaking</a> at a gathering of a major professional association for transgender health:
<blockquote>This is Sky, who&#8217;s 18 years old. They recently graduated from high school and report living on their own for the first time. We came to deliver this presentation because we recognize that the tools in our system, such as what is evidence-based practice and the research tell us what are the standards of care tell us, that is not enough to meet the needs of our patients and we need to take it to the next level to really think about how we evolve and match the needs of our patients, as their needs are being expressed to us.</blockquote>
That is an amazing statement, that patients express their needs to doctors as though they&#8217;re simply going into the store and buying a cup of coffee, and the doctors are then tasked with fulfilling the needs of their patients.
That is precisely the opposite of how medical science is supposed to work. It is the job of the doctor to diagnose. It is the job of the doctor to tell you about your own biology and what is true and what is false.

But that’s not the way it works in the world of so-called trans medicine. A psychologist named Mair Marsiglio agreed and described doing just that. She spoke about the idea that even people with multiple personality disorder or psychosis should not be barred from mutilating surgery.
The Free Press continued:  
<blockquote>One of the biggest revelations from the recordings is how these clinicians acknowledge performing unproven, seemingly experimental treatments—only it appears there is often no protocol being followed, no formal research being conducted, and no ethics-board approval being sought. These practitioners say their goal is to fulfill the “embodiment” desires of their patients, whatever these may be, and doing this may require “deviat[ing] from guidelines.” </blockquote>
Thus, people get together at conferences and change the guidelines, the standards of care, in order to match what the “patients would like” from these particular “medical practitioners.”
In order to get all this done, what was required was groupthink. British endocrinology consultant Leighton Seal explained that the best way to avoid criticism was to make the decisions as a group:
<blockquote>And therefore, when you&#8217;re doing operations, we have to accept, at some point somebody will regret the surgery they&#8217;ve done. so to allow people to move the field forward. You need to have a support network around you as a clinician so that if that decision is made and that decision is regretted, how did you make that decision process?
So as an individual practitioner, if you make that in isolation, you could be vulnerable to being criticized for doing something that is outside of the norm. Whereas if you have a network around you where a clinical team in concert with the individual has made a decision, you then have a framework to say, “Well, the ethics of this were explored.”</blockquote>
This is all insanity.
Why am I bringing this up? Let&#8217;s be real, conservatives won on this issue because reality was always going to win, even when it was unpopular.

So why does this matter? Because it&#8217;s not just that there are consequences for bad science in the field of trans ideology. There are consequences for everyone.
This is also true in the world of the economy. Evidence has emerged that a major climate change study published in Nature is false.
The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/science/environment/climate-change-study-retraction-nature-454cd61b?mod=hp_lead_pos5">reported</a>:
<blockquote>The research, published last year in the prestigious journal Nature, projected that the world’s economic output would decline 62% by 2100 under a high-carbon emissions scenario. The estimate was much more severe than other forecasts, prompting scrutiny of the underlying data. “We broadly agree with the issues raised, and have made corrections to the underlying economic data and to our methodology to address them,” said study author Leonie Wenz, from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany. “These changes are too substantial for a correction of the original article in Nature.”
&#8230; after the study was published, other researchers found that economic data from one country—Uzbekistan—during a short time from 1995 to 1999 had skewed the results. Without Uzbekistan, the 2100 damage forecast fell to 23%, not 62%.</blockquote>
Here is what&#8217;s amazing. The study had already been cited by the time it was pulled by the U.S. Congressional Budget Office, the World Bank, and the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), a coalition of central banks.
This horrible study was used in order to determine whether banks could invest in certain things.
<blockquote>Central bank models of the economic impacts of climate change could have far-reaching implications. If these models show impacts are going to be much worse than previously thought, regulators could make banks set aside more capital to buffer against potential losses associated with assets exposed to climate change…</blockquote>
This means the banks would have to hold more cash back and not lend it out to other businesses because of the potential risk from climate change.
The study was overtly wrong.
They had to pull it, but it is on the very basis of bad science that many, many decisions are made.
That is why it is a very good thing that the president of the United States will not bow to transgender ideology or climate change extremists.

Many detransitioners who speak out receive death threats. I know, because my son, Simon, is a gender apostate, and people call for his death all the time.
Gender ideologues become terrified when people like Simon prove there is life after trans identification. It turns out delusions can pass; people and families can heal. I knew this, which is why I stood up and spoke out when my son was in the throes of trans identification. When his doctor, right in front of my son, asked me, &#8220;Do you want a living daughter or a dead son?”, I told him it was the most shocking display of malpractice I had ever seen.
In college, my son’s classmates called for his death, yet they were allowed to remain on campus. My son was the one they wouldn&#8217;t allow to speak. He just wanted to tell people he had stopped believing he was trans, but the dean bellowed that he would never be allowed to speak on campus. They tried to get him expelled, his classmates screamed at him in the street, and he received threatening emails.
The gender ideologues want families like ours silenced. I&#8217;ve had a mob of trans activists scream at me, in my face, saying that I was evil and did conversion therapy on my son. I was surprised to feel calm — I knew there was nothing I had ever done in my life that was more right than helping my son find the way out of this delusion.
I loved my son then — as I love my son now — enough to tell him the truth. He was born a boy, he is a man now, and he has been male every day in between. For a while, he was angry I didn&#8217;t see it his way, but now he is thankful I held to the truth.
Puberty is hard for most kids, but it seems especially traumatic for autistic kids. When Simon was young, he would cry when anything changed — even when a restaurant or a gas station closed. When his voice began changing, he bawled abjectly — his own body had betrayed him from the inside.
Likewise, trying to find acceptance among peers is a challenge for all teenagers; try it when you can&#8217;t read nonverbal social cues or interpret your own feelings. As a child, a preteen, or a teenager, my son never knew when somebody was going to bully him. In the case of boys, he was surprised every time he was punched or threatened; in the case of girls, he was surprised to be the target of vicious rumors or a group shunning. He didn&#8217;t know how to handle it, and I couldn&#8217;t teach him. I didn&#8217;t know how to teach social skills to a kid I didn&#8217;t even know was autistic.
All of this contributed to Simon’s trans identification. My son was 14 years old when he called his mother and me into the dining room and played us a song on the piano about how he thought he was a girl inside. It was clear he didn&#8217;t want to be himself at that point. He was experiencing real distress, but he had been taught an escape rather than a solution.
I wanted to get him help for his discomfort, his sadness, his worry. It&#8217;s hard to get mental health support for a kid. Once a kid says he&#8217;s trans, though, it becomes almost impossible. You enter an upside-down world, where they believe parents hate their children, and the child tells the doctor the diagnosis. If you&#8217;re a parent who wants a therapist to help your autistic teen learn about how to perceive social and internal cues, that can all be derailed when he says he&#8217;s trans. They may want to wash their hands of him and send him to the gender center (where all patients are trans as a matter of policy). They may demand you get on board the trans train — or else.
This could be a kid who can&#8217;t tell whether he&#8217;s hungry or he&#8217;s angry. He needs help to distinguish those feelings. But if he says he feels like a woman, a therapist can&#8217;t even ask him what he means by that. Activists have gotten laws passed that can take a therapist&#8217;s license away if he doesn&#8217;t agree kids are trans whenever they say so. And if you, as a parent, aren’t careful, they could even take your kid away from you.

Trans-identifying boys have cheerleaders everywhere. It&#8217;s not just the therapists, or the girls who will take your boy shopping and buy him women&#8217;s clothes. There are the school groups like GSA, which used to stand for &#8220;Gay-Straight Alliance,&#8221; but now stands for &#8220;Gender and Sexuality Alliance.&#8221; These groups preach the religion of gender. Our kids are taught about gender identities in health class as if they&#8217;re as real as chromosomes or conception. Online, kids can meet people of all ages with sometimes prurient enthusiasm for their gender identification. What&#8217;s one father against all of that?
One father can be a start. I taught my son that lots of people believing an idea doesn&#8217;t make it true, it just makes it popular. Reality is what&#8217;s still there when you stop believing in it. Right now, trans ideology is popular. But sex is real, and it&#8217;s still going to be here when the trans fad passes or your kid overcomes his delusions. If you succeed in holding the line against medicalization, he may be healthy and whole when that happens.
Parents have so many roles. Sometimes you&#8217;re a guide, walking in front of your children and showing them the way. Sometimes you teach, sometimes comfort, sometimes inspire. Sometimes a father is just a lighthouse keeper, maintaining a beacon so they can find their way back.
My son found his way back from his delusion. I don&#8217;t know all the reasons why, but I know he couldn&#8217;t have done it if I had let my light go out.

California officials misled a federal judge about policies that hide students&#8217; &#8220;gender transitions&#8221; from parents at schools, bombshell documents uncovered by a legal firm appear to show.
On Monday, California officials will appear before U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez for a <a href="https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/63d954d4e4ad424df7819d46/690e752307c0ae224314bd61_Dkt.%20294_ORDER%20-%20Show%20Cause%20RE%20Sanctions.pdf">show cause hearing</a> to provide evidence on why they shouldn’t be sanctioned for attempting to mislead the court about state policies that would prohibit parents from being informed about their children’s supposed &#8220;gender identity.&#8221; The hearing is the latest saga in a multi-year challenge to school policies adopted in California that teachers say would force them to lie to parents about students suffering from gender dysphoria. 
“We now have irrefutable evidence that the [California Department of Education] covertly moved these unconstitutional gender secrecy directives inside a password-protected training hidden away from public view, and distributed them to school districts statewide,” said Paul Jonna, a lawyer with the Thomas More Society. Jonna is representing two teachers, Elizabeth Mirabelli and Lori West, who sued the Escondido Union School District in 2023 over a policy that kept parents in the dark about their children&#8217;s so-called gender identity. 
The California Department of Education has argued that it should not be a party to the case because it claims not to have mandated parental exclusion. They claim that a <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20240113000622/https://www.cde.ca.gov/re/di/eo/faqs.asp">frequently-asked-questions</a> page posted by the department has been edited to show that they do not mandate parental exclusion, and so there is no more cause for complaint. The FAQ page included a line that said &#8220;with rare exceptions, schools are required to respect the limitations that a student places on the disclosure of their transgender status, including not sharing that information with the student’s parents.&#8221;
While that guidance was deleted, policies that kept parents in the dark about their children were still promoted in statewide teacher trainings.
Lawyers for the Thomas More Society obtained training materials developed by the state that appear to prove just that. The materials were found in California’s PRISM <a href="https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/pl/prism.asp">framework</a>, which describes itself as “a six-course online training for certificated educators that provides resources to support LGBTQ+ youth.”
Currently, the materials are unavailable on the state’s <a href="https://prismcalifornia.org/home">website</a>, but the Thomas More Society included them in a court <a href="https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/63d954d4e4ad424df7819d46/6913872618ec89d3116895a5_Supplemental_Briefs_Mirabelli_Sanctions.pdf">filing</a>. They can be viewed on a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5k2FLutwlQ">video</a> uploaded to YouTube.

Inside those materials is a section on “School Legal Responsibilities,&#8221; which it says includes mandates for “inclusive policies, respect for gender identity, anti-discrimination protections, and privacy rights.” It recommends and links to guidelines from the Our Family Coalition that say parents should be kept in the dark if they are not supportive.
“School staff must respect students’ right to privacy and may not affirmatively disclose a student’s LGBTQ status to others without the student’s permission,” the guidance from the San Francisco-based LGBT organization says. “Students have a right to privacy in personal information about their sexual orientation and gender identity, and outing students both at school or at home violates this right and also risks exposing students to harassment. If a student is not out at home, schools should offer them support for working towards family acceptance.”

The official teacher training also links to recommendations from the ACLU of Southern California that outline similar standards. 
“Generally, school staff cannot share information about your gender identity and sexual orientation without your permission, except under very limited circumstances, such as in case of an emergency,” the guidance says, adding that only in “limited circumstances” can school staff tell parents about their child’s gender identity. 
The PRISM training also linked to policies from the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network that stated, “School staff shall not disclose any information that may reveal a student’s transgender status to others, including parents or guardians.&#8221;
Jonna said the evidence that California officials attempted to mislead Benitez is damning. 
“The State claimed in court that it had rescinded the gender secrecy directives we are challenging,” he said. “But we now have evidence of a coordinated, statewide campaign to enforce Parental Exclusion Policies. The State Defendants are attempting to knowingly mislead a Federal Court in order to evade judicial review and prejudice Plaintiffs and the Certified Class. This is one of the most egregious attempts I’ve seen — if not the most — to mislead a Court, and it warrants severe sanctions.”
Benitez will also consider the constitutionality of “parental exclusion policies&#8221; on Monday. He has certified the case as a class action lawsuit, meaning that it will apply to any parent or teacher who objects to California’s policies. Those policies were put forth in California Assembly Bill 1955, which was signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom, and prohibits local school districts from passing measures requiring teachers to inform parents about a student&#8217;s identity. 
Benitez, an appointee of President George W. Bush, already granted an injunction to Mirabelli and West back in 2023, protecting them from having to abide by the policy. 
Defendants in the case <a href="https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/67279752/parties/mirabelli-v-olson/">include</a> Newsom, California Attorney General Rob Bonta, and gubernatorial candidate and California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond. Bonta sued the Chino Valley Unified School District in August 2023 over a policy it implemented protecting parental rights to know how their children are identifying. 
Greg Burt, the vice president of the California Family Council, said that it appeared that the state was &#8220;scrambling&#8221; to hide its policies and that it looked like parents in the Golden State were going to pick up a win.
&#8220;We are very excited these two teachers, down in the San Diego area, stood up to the state and instead of just following what they were saying about keeping secrets they said they couldn&#8217;t do that,&#8221; he told The Daily Wire. &#8220;Their decision to be brave is going to have a positive, hopefully a positive effect on the entire state.&#8221;

Medical professionals are exploiting medical records and privacy laws to push children into transgenderism without their parents&#8217; knowledge, a watchdog organization warned Tuesday. 
A new report from Do No Harm first obtained by The Daily Wire says that parents can be kept in the dark about whether their children are undergoing transgender procedures and treatments under the guise of medical privacy. This is especially worrisome, the report notes, because the two companies responsible for the majority of electronic medical records in the United States have embraced transgender ideology.
&#8220;Confidentiality regulations are being used to hide aspects of pediatric medical transition, such as social transitioning and preferred pronouns of the child, as well as medications, from parents and guardians,&#8221; Do No Harm’s Michelle Havrilla writes.
Do No Harm says that the risk stems from hospitals interpreting federal and state health privacy laws to deny parents access to their child’s medical records once they turn 13. HIPAA — the federal law that mandates medical records be kept private — was meant to maintain parents&#8217; access to their children&#8217;s medical records. Traditionally, HIPAA has only been used to conceal minors&#8217; medical treatments from their parents in instances where it encouraged minors to seek treatment, for things like substance abuse and STDs.
Now, providers are exploiting those exceptions to hide information about transgender procedures, Do No Harm warns. 
“It appears that healthcare systems are using sexually transmitted infections, mental health concerns, and drug and alcohol exceptions to remove parental access to their child’s entire medical record – well beyond the limits of the law,” Havrilla wrote. 
At Lakeland Regional Health in Florida, parental proxy access to medical records <a href="https://www.mylrh.org/cerner-proxy/">goes away</a> at the age of 13. At age 13, the child has to call the system and authorize parental access to their medical records.

At the same time, companies like Epic and Oracle Health have enabled hospitals to incorporate questions about gender identity into their patient systems, Do No Harm says. Epic and Oracle control over 60% of the electronic medical record industry in the United States. 
Electronic medical records dictate “how physicians, nurses, deliver care from implementing clinical practice guidelines to methods used for billing and documentation,” Do No Harm medical director Kurt Miceli says.
Epic <a href="https://www.epic.com/epic/post/inclusive-care-transgender-patients-using-epic/">boasts</a> on its website about creating “more inclusive care for transgender patients.” It says that it has assisted its clients in incorporating “questions about patients’ preferred pronouns, sex assigned at birth, and gender identity into each patient’s chart in Epic.”
“The information a patient provides in response to these prompts can give providers a more nuanced understanding of a patient’s sex, gender identity, and healthcare needs, helping to prevent unwarranted assumptions and improve care,” Epic says. “For example, a transgender patient’s sex assigned at birth—along with the patient’s current anatomy — might inform clinical decisions, while their legal sex might be relevant to identifying them in billing workflows.”
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center <a href="https://lgbtqprimarycare.com/chapter-9/section-3-documenting-sexual-orientation-and-gender-identity-information/">appears</a> to use a Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity SmartForm developed by Epic, according to a screenshot posted by an LGBT advocacy group. 
The form asks a patient to fill in their gender identity and takes an organ inventory where it can be designated what genitalia the patient has or what faux genitalia have been constructed.

Epic <a href="https://www.mychart.org/Help/proxy">notes</a> that parents using its MyChart software may not have access to their child’s records because “proxy access to a child’s account changes as they get older.&#8221;
&#8220;Because each organization has their own interpretation of federal legislation that guarantees privacy rights to adolescents, each organization determines the ages at which proxy access might become limited or removed,&#8221; the group writes.
An Epic spokesman told The Daily Wire that the company designs its software to comply with state law, and that health systems determine the format of electronic health records.
&#8220;Each healthcare organization configures Epic’s software to align with its specific needs, including compliance with state and local laws. This includes settings for proxy access and documentation in children’s medical records. These decisions are determined by each organization, not by Epic,&#8221; the spokesman said. 
Oracle also <a href="https://www.oracle.com/europe/health/continuum-care/3-ways-organizations-can-advance-gender-affirming-healthcare/">pushes</a> for “more inclusive” electronic health records and encourages organizations to “advance gender-affirming health care.” This includes the promotion of adding gender identity, “sex assigned at birth,” and pronouns to electronic health records charts.
The company also <a href="https://docs.oracle.com/en/industries/health/health-patient-portal/pp-release-notes/solution-changes-oracle-health-patient-portal-administrative-console.html">highlights</a> how 13 is the default age at which parents are restricted from viewing the vital signs and results of minor patients. 
“When a minor reaches the protected status age, an option becomes available to them from the Settings menu in the Patient Portal, and they can select what category of information they want to restrict. When a proxy tries to access restricted information, they receive an error message,” Oracle <a href="https://docs.oracle.com/en/industries/health/health-patient-portal/hppag/confidentiality.html">notes</a>. 
Other health systems that keep parents in the dark <a href="https://mychart.wellstar.org/MyChart/en-us/docs/tipsheets/MyChart_TeenGuide.pdf">include</a> Wellstar Health System in Georgia, which limits parents&#8217; access to their children&#8217;s health records after age 12. The child must authorize access for parents to get a full picture of what is going on with their health care. 
“While these institutions make a questionable attempt to be transparent with their proxy access policies, the concept of allowing a 13-year-old decision-making capacity is counter to what we understand about a developing adolescent brain,” Havrilla writes. “Adolescents simply do not have the cognitive capacity to make these difficult decisions.”
Miceli says that Do No Harm&#8217;s report is a call for both electronic health record platforms and health systems to put patients over ideology. 
“When you&#8217;re dealing with a child, it&#8217;s the child, as well as their parent or guardian who is going to help them, support them, and guide them through,” he told The Daily Wire. “That&#8217;s the key message to underscore the importance of what is truly patient centered in this regard.”
Some health systems are reportedly already surveying young patients about their &#8220;gender identities.&#8221;
Do No Harm included screenshots from a survey reportedly given to a 13-year-old emergency room patient at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.
According to screenshots, the survey included questions like “What sex were you assigned at birth, on your original birth certificate?” and “In your entire life, what, if any kind of sexual contact have you had?” with the options “Penis in vagina; Vagina on vagina; Anal; Oral; I have never had sex; I prefer not to answer.”

Parents in Oregon and Florida were asked to fill out surveys about gender identity and sexual preferences for children as young as one.
“What&#8217;s concerning is that these identity focused questions are being introduced at an age when children are developing basic sense of self awareness, prompting confusion and promoting an ideology,&#8221; Havrilla said. &#8220;A pediatric visit should prioritize medical care, not an ideological exploration.&#8221;
The push for extreme privacy has in part come from groups like the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, which <a href="https://www.jahonline.org/article/S1054-139X(14)00053-6/fulltext">contends</a> that “the design, implementation, and use of [electronic health records] need to take into account the special needs of adolescents for access to health information and the vigorous protection of confidentiality.”
One of the authors of that position is Dr. Ryan Pasternak, an advocate of transgender procedures for gender-confused children. 
“Ensuring access to confidential care can be really a serious safety issue for some adolescent patients, just depending on how their parents feel about some of the behaviors that they might be engaging in,” Pasternak <a href="https://scholarlyexchange.childrensmercy.org/cme_podcast/15/">said</a> on a podcast while discussing “confidential” health care for young people. 
Instead of pushing for more restrictions on what parents can know, Do No Harm argues that states and the federal government should step in to protect parental rights and clarify medical privacy laws.
Miceli told The Daily Wire that it was important for parents to know if their child was experiencing gender confusion so they could “have the opportunity to help their child and not allow them to continue deeper and deeper into an ideology that will only result in more harm to them.”
“Regulations and laws must be enforced to stop [electronic health records] and health systems from unlawfully denying parental access and prioritize their children&#8217;s health, and allow parents to exercise their rights and responsibilities as parents for these young minors,” Miceli says.

There may be no state legislator more popular at The Daily Wire than Laurel Libby.
She took a bold stand for girl’s sport in Maine and refused to budge. But it wasn’t always that way.

America’s founders appropriately recognized freedom of speech as the most fundamental right for a flourishing republic. But in today’s America, telling the truth carries a cost.
From social media bans to government censorship to silencing dissent inside our statehouses, the message is clear: if you dare to speak the truth, you will pay a price.
I witnessed this firsthand in Maine’s Democrat-controlled state house, where I was stripped of my right to speak for the people of Maine as their elected representative simply for highlighting biological differences between boys and girls in a state competition.
And the problem is getting worse, not better. Without a renewed commitment to our founding ideals, our society may become free in theory, but authoritarian in practice.
My experience in Maine began in February with a viral social media post. A biological male, who had placed fifth in the boys’ competition the year prior, won the girls’ state pole vault championship. Seeing his female competitor relegated to second place broke my heart.
I could not remain silent.
I posted two publicly available photos side by side. One showed the athlete finishing fifth in the boys’ competition one year; the other showed him taking gold in the girls’ competition the next. Official results had already been available for all to see, but this picture made the unfairness of the situation crystal clear.
Girls in Maine, and across the country, were being forced to compete on unequal terms – not only to justify a political cause, but to signal obedience to an ideology that punishes anyone who questions it.
And punished I was. 
The Maine House Speaker demanded I delete my post. When I refused, I was stripped of my right to speak or vote in the Legislature. Unless and until I issued a formal apology, I would remain barred from representing the nearly 9,000 constituents who elected me.
This wasn’t the first time legislative leadership in Maine used procedural tools to suppress dissent. In May of 2021, the Democratic legislative leadership issued a mask mandate, solely for the State House, after Governor Janet Mills had lifted the state mask mandate.
As a result, Mainers were denied their First Amendment right to assemble, to petition their government, and to speak freely, unless they traded a piece of their liberty. 
I knew it was wrong, and alongside five colleagues, I walked in without a mask.
In response, the Speaker stripped us of our committee assignments and barred us from voting. I agonized over what to do, but in the end, I put a face shield back on, telling myself it was my duty to vote for my constituents.
But the truth is I failed to stand strong in defense of the First Amendment. And that failure taught me that when you give in to fear and intimidation, it only encourages more of both.
This year, I chose not to make the same mistake.
Now, in February, I was confronted with a choice again: to give in or keep fighting. For Maine, for our girls, and for our First Amendment, I chose to fight. 
I filed suit against the Legislature after they barred me for exercising my right to speak truthfully about protecting girls’ sports. And the Supreme Court ruled in my favor and restored my vote!
It was, by any normal standard, the right outcome. But it should never have been necessary. An elected official was forced to file a lawsuit to fulfill her duty to the people of Maine, all because she took a stand for women and girls.
These are the things of totalitarian governments, not the United States.
We still talk about the First Amendment as though it protects us in practice as well as in theory. But in much of American life, the real barriers to speech are procedural, reputational and cultural. They come from norms that shift depending on the issue at hand and the politics of the speaker.
When Charlie Kirk was assassinated, I was in Washington, DC. I called home to tell my older children, and my teenager’s first question stopped me in my tracks: “Mom, are you going to stop speaking up?” Without hesitation, I answered: “No. Absolutely not.”
If we stay silent now, we surrender the foundation of liberty. If we bow to intimidation, we hand our children a future where truth is unwelcome and freedom is conditional.
This is not someone else’s fight. It is ours. Parents, teachers, students, pastors, lawmakers, citizens – every one of us has a role to play in protecting the space to speak truthfully, even when it costs us.
This moment is where we stand to lose, or gain, the most. The only way we lose is if we make the choice to silence ourselves.
We cannot be silent. We must speak. We must stand. There is too much at stake to do otherwise.

Three years ago, NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines declared October 10 “XX Day,” an opportunity to celebrate female athletes who refuse to bow to radical left-wing gender ideology. 
This October 10, the XX-XY Athletics Fund announced several new 2025 Courage Wins Champions from a group of young women who hail from two of the most radical states in the nation, Oregon and California.
These female athletes didn’t just talk about fairness in sports. They put their names, reputations, and safety on the line to defend it.
They are high school athletes with no publicists or powerful sponsors backing them up. But despite the mainstream media and other powerful forces opposing them, these athletes stood proudly for the truth.
Jennifer Sey, the founder and CEO of XX-XY Athletics, says that deep personal conviction is contagious. 
“At a time when threats and bullying have escalated to violence, we are more determined than ever to use our voices and to reward those brave enough to use theirs to stand up for truth and biological reality,” Sey told The Daily Wire of the new winners.
“We need more speech, not less,” she added. “So we’re doubling down and awarding more winners than ever.” Sey added that these athletes are fighting “giants” like Nike and California Governor Gavin Newsom from “ground zero of the battle for fairness in sports.”
She went on, “It’s also notable that today is the deadline for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to honor the sex-based rights of women in his state or cave to ideological bullies’ demands. He’s a coach and he knows the realities of sport. Young athletes like Kendall Kotzmacher are saving the day so high school girls won’t be erased and humiliated in their own sport.”
“By acknowledging and celebrating these brave young women, we hope to encourage more to stand up in defense of women’s sports as well,” Sey concluded.
Oregon is a state where track and field reigns supreme and where Nike, one of the most aggressively “gender progressive” sports brands, is headquartered. This is where five high school girls made a stand that challenged their state’s athletic programs.
Reese Eckard, Maddie Eischen, and Sophia Carpenter refused to compete against a male athlete at the Chehalem Track and Field Classic last spring. They knew it might cost them friends, rankings, and potentially their athletic futures, but they did it anyway.

“I am so grateful for the support XX-XY Athletics has given me as I speak out for fairness in girls’ sports.   I’ve gained so much courage from the other athletes here in Oregon who are also standing up for equal opportunity. Thank you to XX-XY for empowering me to share the truth. Together, our message becomes even stronger,” Eckard said in a statement. 
Their act of defiance sparked something bigger. When All-American runner Sophia Castañeda, the fastest female sophomore in Oregon history in the 400m, lost to a male athlete and was bullied for speaking up, she joined forces with the others. Together, they filed suit against the Oregon Schools Athletic Association.

And that’s not all. In a now-viral image, Alexa Anderson and Eckard can be seen stepping off the podium after a male competitor was crowned the girls’ state high jump champion. 
“I just didn’t think that it’s fair to biological females to allow and encourage biological males to compete among us, not only for myself and the other girl that stepped down, but the girl who should have been on the podium and the girl who didn’t even get to go to state because she was beaten by a biological male at districts,” Anderson said. 
“It is not about hate or transphobia at all. It’s about protecting women’s rights and their right to fair and equal competition within sports,” she said.
These are high schoolers fighting the same multi-billion-dollar sports industry that silenced adult Olympians. Their courage didn’t just win applause. It earned them the title of 2025 Courage Wins Champions.
Over in California, the ideological capital of this cultural madness, Governor Newsom’s administration is suing the federal government to preserve policies that force girls to compete against biological males. 
At Jurupa Valley High School, three teenage girls, including sisters Alyssa and Madison McPherson and their teammate Hadeel Hazameh, are refusing to play along.

“Standing up for what’s right shows more strength than any win or medal ever could,” Hazameh said of their efforts.
They’ve faced everything from online harassment to physical intimidation to threats against their faith. Still, they joined a lawsuit against their school district and the California Department of Education, demanding what should never have been controversial: that girls deserve their own sports.
“It’s not always easy to speak up, but that’s what makes it so powerful. Taking a stand shows other girls that they can be strong, fearless and true to themselves,” Alyssa McPherson said.
Courage Wins Award winners receive up to $5,000 and a spot in a leadership program designed to help them continue speaking up without being punished financially or socially.
That’s the heart of what Sey and XX-XY Athletics are building: a movement that makes standing for truth possible again.
Previous honorees include Brooke Slusser, Lauren Miller, Payton McNabb, Emmy Salerno, Stephanie Turner, Sia Liilii, and the Lincoln Middle School Five, a group of middle schoolers who took on adults and won.
The girls honored this year didn’t ask to be activists; they were just seeking fair competition. But they were unafraid to call out injustice when they saw it, rather than going away quietly. 
The Goliaths they’re fighting, Nike, Newsom, and every screeching activist with a platform, should take note. Because these brave Davids are the new face of women’s sports. 
As Sey put it, “We’re not done yet.”

The Supreme Court on Tuesday will hear arguments in a case centered on a counselor in Colorado who could be punished under state law for helping gender-confused children become comfortable with their own body instead of pursuing irreversible transgender medical procedures.
The case pits the State of Colorado against counselor Kaley Chiles, who is challenging a Colorado law that <a href="https://leg.colorado.gov/sites/default/files/2019a_1129_signed.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">prohibits</a> counseling that “attempts or purports to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity.” Chiles said that the law violates her First Amendment rights and has prevented her from taking several clients.
“When my young clients come to me for counsel, they often want to discuss issues of gender and sexuality. Yet my home state only allows my clients to pursue state-approved goals like gender transition,” she said. “Colorado’s law harms kids and censors speech. I’m hopeful the Supreme Court will do the right thing — for me, other counselors, and most importantly, kids everywhere.”
Chiles is being represented by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which argues that Colorado’s law, passed in 2019, is a direct attack on professional speech.
“This case is about censorship. The state of Colorado is censoring counselor speech on the issue of gender ideology,” Alliance Defending Freedom lawyer Kate Anderson said on a press call attended by The Daily Wire. “Colorado is saying that if a counselor is going to speak with a minor, have a private, voluntary counseling session with a minor, and that minor is dealing with any kind of gender ideology, confusion, then that counselor has to encourage transition.”
“They can&#8217;t have conversations with that minor to help them become comfortable in their own body and align their feelings with their biology, even if that&#8217;s what that minor wants,” Anderson added.
She pointed to the 2018 Supreme Court ruling where the court sided with the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, which had challenged a California law that mandated that crisis pregnancy centers provide information on how to obtain abortions.
Anderson said she expected this past ruling to come up during oral arguments, as well as the science demonstrating the lack of scientific support for transgender procedures.
Colorado’s law was previously upheld by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, while the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals struck down similar laws implemented by cities in Florida. The Supreme Court has been skeptical of transgender ideology in recent years and has allowed states to ban transgender procedures on minors.

In light of the recent loss of Charlie Kirk, we have to seriously reconsider the level of radical indoctrination in our <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/public-schools">public schools</a> — and not just at the collegiate level. The hostility that fueled such an attack doesn’t appear out of thin air. It begins in classrooms where children are taught to despise their country, question their God-given identity, and see their parents as obstacles rather than protectors. By the time students reach college, the soil has already been prepared by years of quiet but intentional indoctrination. The loss of Charlie should also serve as a rallying cry — a reminder of the price conservatives are paying in this cultural battle and the urgency to confront it head-on.
This is why the fight against gender ideology in our K–12 schools cannot wait. It is not a side issue or a distraction from “real politics.” It is the heart of the cultural crisis America faces. If children are trained from kindergarten to see themselves through the lens of gender theory rather than truth, faith, and family, then we should not be surprised when that worldview matures into radicalism, activism, and, eventually, violence.
For decades, conservatives assumed the worst indoctrination happened on college campuses. That was a mistake. Elementary schools are where the work begins — through school counselors, taxpayer-funded SEL programs, and activist-approved library shelves. Children are introduced to gender confusion long before they ever take an SAT or apply to a university. By the time they arrive on campus, the indoctrination is already deeply rooted.
Florida recognized this and acted decisively. In 2022, the state passed the Parental Rights in Education Act (<a href="https://www.flhouse.gov/Sections/Documents/loaddoc.aspx?FileName=_h1557er.docx&amp;DocumentType=Bill&amp;BillNumber=1557&amp;Session=2022">HB 1557</a>), banning classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in kindergarten through third grade. In 2023, lawmakers expanded the law to apply through eighth grade and specifically addressed the use of pronouns. The Florida Board of Education later broadened protections further to cover all K–12 grades. Additional bills like <a href="https://www.flhouse.gov/Sections/Documents/loaddoc.aspx?FileName=_h1069er.docx&amp;DocumentType=Bill&amp;BillNumber=1069&amp;Session=2023">HB 1069</a> reaffirmed that sex is biologically determined at birth, while <a href="https://www.flhouse.gov/Sections/Documents/loaddoc.aspx?FileName=_s0254er.DOCX&amp;DocumentType=Bill&amp;BillNumber=254&amp;Session=2023">SB 254</a> placed restrictions on gender-related medical interventions for minors.
What made this possible was the partnership of strong leadership at the top — Gov. Ron DeSantis and a conservative state school board — combined with parents pushing relentlessly from the bottom up. Importantly, the state school board did not wait for the legislature to act again; they used their authority to pass stronger policies when they saw the need. This kind of backbone is missing in school boards across the country, but it is the critical piece in reclaiming our public school systems. That partnership is the model every red state must follow if we want to preserve the innocence of children and the authority of parents.
Florida shows that the combination of political courage and grassroots activism can shift the culture of public schools. Parents had been voicing concerns for years about radical curricula, library materials, and counselors undermining parental authority. Instead of dismissing those voices, the leadership of Florida embraced them, amplifying the parents rather than silencing them. That is the blueprint. This bottom-up and top-down unity is what makes Florida distinct — and it is why conservative parents in other states look to Florida as proof that this fight can be won.
On the other end of the spectrum is California, where the guardrails are gone. Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the SAFETY Act (<a href="https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202320240AB1955">AB 1955</a>), which allows schools to conceal a child’s new gender identity or pronouns from parents. San Diego schools have run classroom programs with books like <a href="https://www.iwfeatures.com/profile/controversy-erupts-in-california-school-district-over-radical-gender-ideology-in-classrooms/">My Shadow Is Pink</a>, asking fifth graders to guide kindergartners through gender-identity exercises without parental notification. And when teachers object on religious grounds — such as the Oakland kindergarten teacher fired for refusing to use pronouns that violated her conscience — the state sides with ideology, not faith or family.
California also recently lost more than $12 million in federal funding for refusing to strip “radical gender ideology” from its sex-education curriculum. Instead of correcting course, the state doubled down. This is the America our children will inherit if red states fail to act.
The danger in California isn’t limited to its own borders. Policies that begin there often spread nationwide through activist groups, teacher unions, and national curriculum providers. A book that appears in a Los Angeles classroom one year often shows up in a red-state district the next. Without strong protections, even conservative communities will find themselves importing California’s chaos. That is why the example of California should serve as both a warning and a motivator: if red states do not proactively legislate, they will be pulled in the same direction by cultural and institutional pressures.
President Trump recently issued an <a href="https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2025/01/24/2025-01567/removing-radical-gender-ideology-from-federally-funded-education-programs">executive order</a> directing the removal of radical gender ideology from federally funded education programs. That is an important step — but executive orders are temporary. What one president does, the next can undo. And without strong state-level laws, even Trump’s order cannot stop what continues to happen in liberal states like California, where ideology is embedded in classrooms regardless of federal guidance.
That’s why red states must codify protections into permanent law. And they must add accountability measures with real teeth:

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Immediate removal from the classroom if teachers or counselors push gender ideology in violation of the law.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Revocation of teaching licenses so offenders cannot simply move districts or cross state lines to continue indoctrinating children.</li>
</ul>
Parents deserve more than symbolism — they deserve action. Conservative lawmakers must remember that parents are not asking for suggestions or guidelines — they are demanding laws that protect their rights and their children. Laws without accountability are empty. A policy without enforcement is a wish list. If red states want to be serious, they need to back up their words with actions that make the cost of violating parental rights unacceptably high.
Conservative states now have both the opportunity and the obligation to act. Parents are fleeing states like California in search of places where their children can be raised in safety, truth, and faith. Red states must be those safe havens. That means more than political slogans — it means codifying into law the protections families need to preserve faith-based values and the authority of parents.
If conservatives fail here, the exodus from blue states will only accelerate, but families will arrive to find that their “safe haven” is just another battleground. Conservative parents are looking for states where school boards act decisively, legislatures put children first, and governors refuse to bend to woke corporations or activist lobbies. They want leaders who will not only defend but advance the values of family, faith, and freedom.
Red states across the country now have the opportunity and the backing of parents — and if legislators refuse, they should be replaced with leaders who will. The loss of Charlie has only deepened conservatives’ resolve, reminding us of the urgency and the cultural impact of his fight.
The line is clear: pass laws protecting children from gender ideology with real accountability, and pass them first — or prepare to face a reckoning at the ballot box. Our children are not bargaining chips. They are the future of America, and they deserve to be defended. Until states pass binding protections, even Trump’s executive order cannot shield families from the spread of radical ideology in liberal states — making state action urgent and non-negotiable.

CNN avoided one key aspect out of its own coverage even after a number of reports stated that ammunition — recovered from the scene of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk&#8217;s assassination in Utah on Wednesday — had been engraved with phrases reflecting &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ammunition-from-charlie-kirk-assassination-was-engraved-with-transgender-and-anti-fascist-ideology">transgender, antifascist ideology.</a>&#8221;
The ammunition was found with an older model .30-caliber rifle — which would typically be used for hunting larger game at long distances — in the woods near the campus of Utah Valley University, where Kirk had been hosting an event at the time of his death. But CNN&#8217;s report noted that the ammunition was engraved without mentioning the potential ties to radical gender ideology.
Instead, CNN&#8217;s <a href="https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/charlie-kirk-shot-utah-death-09-11-25#cmffhmf7g002n3b6pn6wtr3p6">liveblog headline</a> read, &#8220;Federal officials probe rifle and ammo scrawled with cultural phrases after Charlie Kirk killing.&#8221;
The text of the post was no more specific:
<blockquote>A range of phrases related to cultural issues were found scrawled on a rifle and ammunition found in the woods near where conservative activist Charlie Kirk was murdered on Wednesday, according to sources with knowledge of the investigation.</blockquote>
The post went on to note that officials were &#8220;analyzing the messages,&#8221; but had not come up with a clear motive for the assassination.
A CNN spokesperson said in a statement that the network had simply published the information that they had at the time, and would update accordingly as new information became available.
&#8220;And James Earl Ray had &#8216;cultural attitudes,'&#8221; National Review editor Rich Lowry said, referencing the man who assassinated Civil Rights activist Martin Luther King Jr.

The Trump administration is backing legislation that would ban doctors from performing transgender procedures on children and allow lawsuits against doctors or hospitals who greenlit such procedures.  
The Justice Department <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/department-justice-proposes-legislation-protect-children-gender-mutilation">said</a> Wednesday that it had “transmitted a legislative proposal to Congress that protects and defends children from chemical and surgical mutilation under the guise of ‘gender-affirming care.’” In the press release, the DOJ said it was backing a proposal from Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Rep. Bob Onder (R-MO) that would protect children nationwide from transgender procedures. 
“The Department of Justice has heard from far too many families who have been devastated by mutilative medical procedures that fly in the face of basic biology,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi. “While we continue our ongoing legal battle to protect children, we appreciate our colleagues in Congress who are working diligently alongside us to end these abusive procedures once and for all.”
The <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1412656/dl?inline">proposal</a> from the Republican lawmakers, called the Victims of Chemical or Surgical Mutilation Act, would ban doctors from doing transgender surgeries like removing the breasts of girls who identify as boys or genital procedures. It would also ban children who identify as transgender from being put on puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones. 
Puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones can permanently destroy fertility, stunt bone growth, and impact heart health. 
The bill would also allow children who were put on transgender procedures to bring a civil suit for &#8220;damages against any healthcare professional, physician, hospital, or clinic, who participates in the chemical or surgical mutilation of that child. This includes, but is not limited to, compensatory damages, including all economic damages associated with undoing, correcting, or ameliorating the effects or results of any chemical or surgical mutilation procedures, and noneconomic damages for emotional distress and pain and suffering.&#8221;
The legislation would allow kids to sue their doctors within 25 years of their 18th birthday.
President Donald Trump has cracked down on transgender procedures for kids, signing an executive order in January that ended federal funding for any entity performing or promoting the procedures. His administration has also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/health-care-puts-stop-to-trans-surgeries-on-kids">pressured</a> hospitals across the country to stop the procedures.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services directed 40 states, five territories, and Washington, D.C., on Tuesday to eliminate gender ideology from their federally funded Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) within 60 days.
“Accountability is coming,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Andrew Gradison. “Federal funds will not be used to poison the minds of the next generation or advance dangerous ideological agendas. The Trump Administration will ensure that PREP reflects the intent of Congress, not the priorities of the left.”
The only states not listed as recipients of these letters were Arkansas, California, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Texas, and Virginia. The territories listed as recipients included Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
“Last week, ACF <a href="https://acf.gov/media/press/2025/hhs-defunds-californias-attempt-indoctrinate-children-gender-ideology">terminated</a> California’s PREP grant after the state failed to meet its demand to remove gender ideology from its educational materials. States and territories receiving these new letters are now on notice: failure to comply will result in similar enforcement actions including the withholding, suspension, or termination of federal PREP funding,” HHS <a href="https://www.hhs.gov/press-room/hhs-acf-states-remove-gender-ideology-sex-ed.html">stated.</a>

HHS published all the letters sent to each state <a href="https://acf.gov/sites/default/files/documents/main/08.26.25-Combined-PREP-Letters.pdf">here</a>.
According to the letter sent to the state of New York, the state’s PREP curriculum includes statements such as these: “Gender identity is people’s inner understanding of what gender they identify with. It may be man, woman, something in between, or something that doesn’t fit these labels. It may be the same as (cisgender) or different from (transgender) the sex they were assigned at birth. Gender identity is unique for each person.”
The letter to Pennsylvania notes statements like these in their PREP curricula: “ &#8230; during the roleplay practice, participants may roleplay social pressure situations with someone of a different or the same gender. This may be awkward for straight teens who are sensitive to the suggestion of same-sex romance, for teens who identify as gay or lesbian, or for teens who are transgender or gender nonconforming. It is important to address this situation directly and proactively.”

WASHINGTON — As President Donald Trump’s administration enforces his executive order protecting women’s sports and spaces, several school districts and universities across the nation may soon come under fire for allowing males to compete as women or use female locker rooms. 
Now, a new <a href="https://americanparentscoalition.org/map/">tracking map</a> first obtained by The Daily Wire might offer the administration even more fodder for investigations. 
The interactive map provided by the American Parents Coalition documents instances across the United States where males have been granted access to female spaces, including sports teams, bathrooms, and locker rooms. The incidents tracked range from transgender-identifying males competing on women’s sports teams to young girls being forced to change in front of males at local gyms. 
At least 24 states have failed to maintain female-only spaces, the American Parents Coalition found. Incidents have not only taken place in deep blue states like California and New York, but also GOP-dominated states like Georgia, Missouri, Florida, and Texas. 
&#8220;Gender activists have attempted to normalize radical gender ideology at the expense of biological reality, fairness, and privacy. American parents have dealt with the fallout, seeing boys in their daughters’ sports, locker rooms, and private spaces at schools and also organizations like the YMCA,” Alleigh Marré told The Daily Wire.

The incidents cited by the American Parents Coalition range from college athletics to parents taking their children to the local YMCA. 
One of the incidents in March 2022 from <a href="https://americanparentscoalition.org/state/georgia/">Georgia</a> helped launch a conservative push to keep transgender-identifying males out of women’s sports. The incident in question involved male swimmer Lia Thomas tying for fifth place with Riley Gaines at the 200-meter NCAA Division 1 women’s swimming championships in Atlanta. Thomas was awarded a fifth-place trophy while Gaines was told she would receive one later. 
In another incident included on the interactive map, a parent <a href="https://fox4kc.com/news/nkc-police-investigating-after-report-of-indecent-exposure-at-ymca/">reported</a> that her 7-year-old daughter was exposed to a naked man while at their local YMCA in Kansas City, Missouri. The mother said that the man claimed to be a woman after being questioned about what he was doing in the women’s changing area. 
Other incidents took place in school districts across the country — from California’s Riverside County to Minnesota&#8217;s Hennepin County to Florida’s Broward County — as male athletes identifying as transgender competed against females. 
More incidents will be added to the map, and parents are encouraged to submit tips to the American Parents Coalition if their daughters have been denied privacy or athletic opportunities. 
“Parents&#8217; concerns about the safety and fairness of girls competing against biological males in sports, or forcing girls to shower, change or even share overnight cabins with biological males, are legitimate and must be taken seriously by policymakers,” Marré said. 
Marré added that she hoped that policymakers would use the map as a resource for where to direct their action. 
“Our goal with creating this map is to highlight that this issue is not isolated and is happening nationwide,” she said. “We also hope that this map can be used as a resource for concerned parents and policymakers as we work towards ensuring safety and fairness through the proper protection of girls&#8217; sports and spaces.”
In February, Trump <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/02/keeping-men-out-of-womens-sports/">issued an executive order</a> stating that the United States would “rescind all funds from educational programs that deprive women and girls of fair athletic opportunities,” saying that allowing men in women’s spaces results “in the endangerment, humiliation, and silencing of women and girls and deprives them of privacy.”
“It shall also be the policy of the United States to oppose male competitive participation in women’s sports more broadly, as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity, and truth,” that executive order stated. 
Trump’s order was the fulfillment of his campaign promise to get males out of women’s spaces — a promise that the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-trump-learned-to-embrace-the-transgender-culture-wars">president quickly gauged</a> the American people were very supportive of.  

Last week, Trump threatened to strip federal funding from California if the state continues to refuse to get on board with his administration&#8217;s transgender policies. That came after the Justice Department <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-president-means-business-trump-admin-sues-california-over-transgender-athlete-policy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sued</a> California last month for continuing to allow transgender-identifying males to compete in female sports.
