Marco Rubio, one could argue, could do anything in the world if he was given a week off — but the Secretary of State has a much more relatable vision of a theoretical week-long vacation with no interruptions: watch college football.
&#8220;My wife is going to hate this answer, but I would love to sit down and watch every college football game starting at noon eastern until when the west coast games end at 2 a.m. our time,&#8221; Rubio said during an interview on Fox News&#8217; My View with Lara Trump.
That&#8217;s right: when asked how he would spend a week off, Rubio said what a majority of men in America would say. Maybe it was because college football returns this month, so Rubio could already feel the anticipation of the season starting. But while the Secretary of State appears to have college football circled on his calendar like most sports fans, he probably also knows he has no time for it.
&#8220;I doubt I’ll be able to do that anytime soon,&#8221; Rubio added.
Unfortunately for Jeanette Rubio, her honey-do-list may take a backseat if her hubby gets a weekend off this fall.
But can you blame him? Rubio played college football at an NAIA school, Tarkio College, in Missouri before transferring to the University of Florida to earn his undergrad degree. His son, Anthony, followed in his father’s footsteps.
He’s a redshirt junior running back entering his fourth season at the University of Florida, where he scored his first collegiate touchdown in 2024 in the Gasparilla Bowl.
Rubio also has made it known he’s a die-hard University of Miami fan. He cheered on the school where he earned his Juris Doctor throughout the College Football Playoff last season, even attending the National Championship where Miami lost to Indiana. It’s clear football is in the Rubio family’s blood.
Admitting to having the same desires as most of America on fall Saturdays adds on to Rubio’s relatability, something he already gained quite by accident when he became a top meme of 2026.

Another common thread between the college football fan and Rubio is both share some of the same frustrations with the current playoff system. Back in December he criticized the College Football Playoff committee, noting how it would have been unfair to leave Miami out of the 12-team post-season bracket, which was a highly debated topic at the time.
&#8220;I&#8217;m a Florida Gator, but if the University of Miami gets screwed out of the College Football Playoffs, after going 10-2 and beating Notre Dame, the whole thing should be scrapped,&#8221; Rubio said.
He then suggested Trump would have to take over for the 2026 CFP if Miami got left out.
Ultimately Miami made it into the playoff over Notre Dame who had a matching 10-2 record to the Canes.
As he admitted, Rubio’s current role doesn’t allow him to watch a football game — much less attend as many as he would like to support his son — but he made it clear that when it’s all said and done, you’ll find him escaping the real world by watching the same game that, to many Americans, makes the world go round.

Ex-football star Tony Romo struggled to understand officers&#8217; instructions during a field sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer test, body cam footage released Tuesday by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office shows.
Romo, who is now the NFL on CBS lead game analyst, was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-cowboys-qb-tony-romo-arrested">arrested</a> last week and charged with his first offense of Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) — Wisconsin’s term for a DUI. He was stopped by an officer while driving on southbound Interstate 43 on a bridge and was subsequently taken to jail. He has since been released.
Bodycam footage from the arrest shows a female deputy with the Milwaukee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office stopping Romo for unsafe passing on the right, deviation on the road, and crossing the gore, the triangular safety zone splitting the highway and an entrance ramp.
When the deputy asked Romo where he was from, he <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/bodycam-shows-tony-romo-arguing-officer-before-refusing-breath-test-during-dui-arrest">replied</a>, “Well, I live in Dallas, so I came to visit grandma and grandpa’s so we’re here. I played in the golf tournament of the Wisconsin Amateur Championship.” 

The deputy asked Romo, “How many drinks have you had?” to which he responded, “Zero.”
The officer then asked if Romo could undergo a field sobriety test.
“I’m gonna call my lawyer and I&#8217;m gonna see if it’s offensible [sic],” Romo said.
“Okay, step out of the vehicle,” she replied.
“I’m still allowed to call my lawyer, right?” Romo asked.
“You’re not,” the deputy said.
Romo stayed in the car as he looked down at his phone. 
“I’m gonna give him an additional ten seconds — he’s not stepping out of the vehicle,” the officer said into her walkie-talkie.
“I&#8217;ll do it. I&#8217;m just saying I&#8217;m not allowed to call my lawyer?” Romo interrupted as he finally stepped out of the car. The deputy stated that Romo was pending an OWI investigation.
&#8220;Because I&#8217;m coming from a golf course, you think I&#8217;m drunk?&#8221; Romo asked.
The deputy told Romo to step in front of the squad car and patted him down for weapons. She then told Romo to put his hands behind his back.
“I thought you’re taking me through [a field sobriety test],” Romo answered.
“So as of right now, we’re on a [uneven] ground, we’re on a bridge. I want to convey you somewhere that’s going to be an even surface free of debris,” she replied.
The officer cuffed Romo and put him in the back of the car. When asked if he was in the vehicle, the 6-foot-2-inch Romo replied, &#8220;I&#8217;m in, uncomfortably, yes.”
“Yeah, you&#8217;re a taller fellow,” the deputy said.
More body cam footage <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2026/07/28/tony-romo-owi-arrest-body-cam/">obtained</a> by TMZ shows the female officer with three other deputies in a parking lot with Romo doing field sobriety tests. Romo struggled to understand the instructions on how to do nine heel-to-toe steps, at one point going on all fours to stretch out.
“Sorry guys, two back surgeries — it does hurt me,” Romo said.
He was then asked to stand on one foot for 30 seconds. After 20 seconds, he fell off balance and said, “I know that was at least eight or nine seconds.” 
The deputy then asked Romo if he would be willing to go through a preliminary breath test. He responded, “Oh no, we’re not doing that. I’ve already heard from all the lawyers, ‘Don’t ever do that.’”
The officer <a href="https://people.com/tony-romo-bodycam-footage-arrest-alleged-owi-12029103">told</a> Romo that he had “red, glassy eyes” and an “odor of an intoxicating alcoholic beverage from your back.” She and other officers reported finding “a few shooters” in Romo’s backpack, which he denies drinking.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan suffered multiple broken bones and nearly lost an eye in a serious car crash earlier this month, according to the team and longtime friend, NFL analyst Chris Simms. 
The 49ers announced Saturday that Shanahan will have a limited role during training camp after breaking his nose, hand, and three ribs while requiring 40 stitches to his face, ESPN’s Adam Schefter <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/49446662/49ers-shanahan-limited-camp-car-accident">reported.</a>

The July 14 crash occurred near Shanahan&#8217;s Northern California home when his vehicle collided with an SUV. Authorities said the other driver was not injured, both drivers cooperated, and neither showed signs of impairment or was cited. 
General manager John Lynch said the team will let doctors determine when Shanahan can fully return. 
“Kyle basically is going to be like in the protocol. We’re going to let the doctors dictate how he comes back, when he comes back,” Lynch <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LniGXZ93_AE">said</a>. “He’s been in the building, so we’ve seen him. It’s kind of like we do with our players: a phased-back approach. Number one for Kyle and the Shanahan family is getting him back right.”
Former NFL quarterback and current NBC Sports football analyst Chris Simms explained during a Monday appearance on “PFT Live” that his close friend Shanahan almost lost his eye in the accident. Simms said Mandy Shanahan, Kyle’s wife, sent him pictures of the injuries just after the crash.
“When you first see it, and it’s fresh, and some of the cuts are still wide open, I mean, it’s jarring,” Simms said.
“He was emotional about it, because he realized how close it was to being just a complete, you know, utter disaster,” he added. “He could have lost his right eye. It could have been a lot worse.”
“You know, he’s very concerned about the woman he got in the accident with and how she is handling that situation. So there’s just a lot there. And I think it was a lot for him to process.”
With no timetable for Shanahan’s return, assistant head coach Chris Foerster will take over as the acting head coach.
Shanahan has coached the 49ers since 2017 after previously serving as offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons. He is the son of legendary head coach Mike Shanahan, who led the Denver Broncos to back-to-back Super Bowl victories.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and CBS analyst Tony Romo refused to submit to an intoxication test after his arrest last week for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to new court filings.
Court records first reported by the <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/07/27/sports/tony-romo-cited-for-refusing-intoxication-test-after-owi-arrest/">California Post</a> show Romo was cited for &#8220;refusing to take test for intoxication after arrest&#8221; during his July 23 arrest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-cowboys-qb-tony-romo-arrested">Authorities previously alleged</a> Romo was operating a vehicle while intoxicated after being stopped on southbound Interstate 43 following a round at the Wisconsin Amateur Championship golf tournament.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office arrest report, Romo performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests before being taken into custody, booked, and later released. The newly filed citation alleges Romo refused an intoxication test after arriving in custody. A copy of the citation has not yet been publicly released.
Milwaukee County District Attorney&#8217;s Office officials have said the case is being handled as a traffic violation rather than a criminal offense under Wisconsin law. Romo has not publicly commented on either the arrest or the newly disclosed allegation; neither has his attorney, Julius Kim. The 46-year-old is scheduled to appear in court on September 21.
The arrest also appears to have affected Romo&#8217;s golf schedule. Over the weekend, he withdrew from the upcoming M&amp;P Group Texas State Open, where he had been expected to compete.
Neither CBS nor the Milwaukee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office has commented on the new filing.

Former NFL player and ESPN on-air analyst and personality Ryan Clark was laid off by the sports news mogul in the middle of the broadcast Monday.
After 11 years with the company, Clark was fired during his appearance on “NFL Live” and did not finish the show, as <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7459503/2026/07/20/ryan-clark-espn-layoff/">reported by The Athletic</a>. He had been discussing the New York Giants just minutes prior, but did not return to the panel after a commercial break.
Clark, 46, was a safety in the league for 13 years, earning one Pro Bowl selection and winning a Super Bowl with the Steelers. Following his time in the league, Clark joined ESPN as an analyst in 2015, just a month after his retirement.
Sources told The Athletic that the company’s plan had originally been to fire him as a part of a mass layoff on Tuesday that would occur across ESPN and NFL Network, which was expected when ESPN purchased NFL Network and its assets in a $3 billion acquisition. However, “after receiving calls on the matter,” ESPN opted to cut Clark during the broadcast in order to prevent news leaking of his firing before the following day.
The Athletic was informed following the Super Bowl this past February that Clark’s job was in jeopardy. They also reported that the company was influenced by his “perceived poor verbal conduct,” specifically towards former colleague Peter Schrager on a segment of “Get Up.&#8221;
In the interaction, Clark prefaced his future comment by saying, “We shouldn’t do this on TV,” then following it up with, “That’s the non-player in you,” when discussing Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s performance in their opening game last September.

Following the interaction that day, Clark took to X to apologize for his comment toward Schrager.
Even after his firing, ESPN continued to post clips of Clark’s takes on social media after the airing of his appearances Monday, sparking backlash from fans in the comments of both the <a href="https://x.com/SportsCenter/status/2079284778122064032">NFL on ESPN</a> and <a href="https://x.com/SportsCenter/status/2079284778122064032">SportsCenter’s</a> X posts.
Clark recently signed a contract with ESPN in February 2024, where he was earning more than $2 million a year.
Clark was not the only major media personality let go by ESPN and NFL Network over the last 36 hours. Karl Ravech, Tom Pelissero, Cam Newton, Charles Davis, David Lloyd, and Stephania Bell are some of the notable names that will no longer be a part of the networks.

In a memo sent to ESPN employees this morning, which was obtained by The Daily Wire, ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro wrote to his staff about the recent layoffs.
“Over the past several months, we&#8217;ve made significant progress integrating the NFL assets that we acquired into ESPN. Throughout this process, we have taken the time to carefully evaluate our collective teams, resources and organizational structure to best position us for the future. As a result, we had to make some difficult decisions about job impacts that we will be communicating today.”
“While most of the job impacts are tied to the acquisition, we will also notify colleagues in other parts of the company today that their positions have been impacted. We are committed to treating employees with compassion and respect and to providing support as they navigate this transition.”

Eric Obrokta pumped millions of dollars into The First Academy in Orlando, Florida, to turn it into a high school football powerhouse to benefit his son, but the scheme fell apart soon after it created a juggernaut.
Earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/sports/football/high-school-football-father-bankroll-54575983?st=dgh9oU&amp;reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink">reported</a> on the bizarre situation, which began two years ago in Orlando, Florida. The Journal interviewed numerous people connected to Obrokta&#8217;s academy for a story that depicts what went into the expensive operation, how it stood, and why it failed.
In 2024, Obrokta began funding “Central Florida’s #1 Private Christian School’s” football team to reach the likes of their other sports programs. This led to an influx of elite-athletes transferring into the high school, new uniforms, upper-echelon football technology, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in contracts for coaches. Despite this, all of the entrepreneur&#8217;s charity to the school blew up in his face.
To improve the team, Obrokta put up the funding for $300,000 that would go to coaches, nearly $100,000 in tuition for the athletes, $135,000 in travel expenses, and $50,000 worth of upgrades to technology. The total costs eventually reached millions of dollars.
TFA hired a new coach, Jeff Conaway, to a contract worth $230,000, all donated by Obrokta. After going 6-4, Obrokta was not satisfied, telling Conaway he wanted to “flip the script.&#8221;
TFA then hired Steven Moffett, a former quarterback for the University of Central Florida, worked with a non-contact 7-on-7 football team that high-tier high school football players would participate in during the offseason, giving him a leg-up in recruiting for the private school. Moffett was given a $70,000 contract.
TFA also convinced at least 25 high school students to transfer to the private school, set up a $75,000 trip to Nashville for TFA to play and beat Nashville’s prestigious football high school, Lipscomb Academy, purchased a $50,000 technology system for the program, and a went on a $60,000 summer road trip for the players to meet college coaches.
Obrokta also paid for many of the athletes’ tuition. The teenagers were struggling in classes, so TFA began admitting the players into the “hybrid-homeschool program” that was much cheaper for Obrokta to fund everyone.
With the improvements, The First Academy (TFA) began recruiting high school athletes from across the country to build a super team in Central Florida.
None of this went unnoticed, however. The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) received complaints about how the school was operating. After investigating the situation, they discovered at least ten students were participating in summer football activities without being properly registered at the school and one who did not submit the correct paper work.
The FHSAA suspended every regular season win of its 2024 season, eliminating the team from playoff contention. TFA was also suspended for the 2025 playoffs.
Obrokta was not born with money. He explained that at 40, he was only earning $45,000 as a supervisor for a janitorial service company. From 2012-2022, he co-founded NPSG Global which was bringing in “hundreds of millions in annual revenue” according to the Journal. After spending over 300 days a year away from his family, he returned home and wanted his son to have whatever he wanted. 
“I wanted to feed whatever passion he had,” Obrotka told the paper.
That passion happened to be football, a sport that Florida specifically thrives in breeding athletes, but not TFA. Instead of being away from his son once more, he settled on turning the private Christian school his son attended into a juggernaut to help him play at a high level of college football.
But even before the FHSAA came knocking, Obrokta saw his scheme negatively affecting the main reason behind why he started it in the first place — his own son. TFA players told the Journal that Obrokta’s son was often teased that he would only play due to his father’s bank account. As the scheme continued, most of the athletes on the team became too talented for Obrokta&#8217;s son to compete for serious playing time.
“He loved him as a father, but hated being his son when it came to football,” the Journal wrote of the father-son relationship.
This was the moment it ended for Obrokta. He stopped giving money to the school, leading to a 5-5 season. His son transferred out of state to play for another team. What Obrokta thought would be a life-changing and perfect father-son moment ended in flames.
“Me being so close to the program created challenges for my son and we thought it would be best to start fresh,&#8221; he said.

A Father Dumped Millions Into His Son’s High School Football Team – Then It Backfired

Texas Tech University star quarterback Brendan Sorsby is planning to withdraw his lawsuit against the NCAA and declare for the NFL’s supplemental draft in a shocking move, foregoing his final year of college eligibility. 
Just over a week after a Texas state court <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/court-rules-star-qb-can-return-after-ncaa-banned-him-over-gambling-admission">granted him an injunction</a> to suit up for the Red Raiders for the 2026-2027 season, Sorsby decided to leave college football for good and prepare for a potential career in the NFL. 
Both the spoken and legal backlash flooded in following the ruling on June 8, 2026. The University of Georgia and University of Nebraska were publicly boycotting facing Texas Tech on their schedule until the NCAA made a decision. Just hours before Sorsby’s decision, the Big 12 Conference, in which Texas Tech competes, sued the university to relieve the injunction he was granted.
Sorsby transferred from the University of Cincinnati to Texas Tech following two years with the program after spending his first two seasons with Indiana University. In those two seasons at Indiana, Sorsby wagered at least $90,000 — with some of his bets placed on the football team. The NCAA then banned Sorsby and took away his eligibility — but he sued the association and had regained it for next season.
Following the announcement, Sorsby took to social media to express his gratitude for those supporting his future endeavors.
“I am grateful for the support from my family, my Tech coaching staff, teammates, the community, and so many others who have encouraged me to address and learn more about this important issue,” Sorsby <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DZoOnUOxP2u/?igsh=MW90NXB5ZGltM2x4dg%3D%3D">posted on his Instagram account.</a> “As my journey continues, I remain fully committed to and focused on being the best I can be, both on and off the field.”
In an attempt to continue his football career, Sorsby will apply for the NFL’s supplemental draft that will take place later this summer. The supplemental draft is a separate event from the NFL Draft that we see every April; teams will blind bid their 2027 NFL Draft selections for a player that was not able to declare for the draft due to an issue with their eligibility. The highest draft pick bid will draft that player and forfeit the pick in the following NFL Draft.
There have only been three players selected in the NFL’s supplemental draft in the last 15 years: Jalen Thompson in 2019, Josh Gordon in 2012, and Terrelle Pryor in 2011. All three had careers of at least seven years.
It is unknown whether any team will risk their future picks to select Sorsby, as his off the field concerns are what brought about his current predicament. NFL executives will have to decide whether Sorsby has learned from his six figure gambling decisions, or whether his football career will end in disappointment.

What I am emotionally invested in is preventing the pussification of American sport, which is why the Bears move is troubling to me. It&#8217;s troubling because they&#8217;re apparently going to build an indoor stadium wherever their new home is, be it in Indiana, Illinois, or elsewhere.
To put it bluntly, domed football stadiums are an affront to God. Football is the ultimate expression of American masculinity. It&#8217;s a battle of physical strength and endurance, toughness, and gladiator spirit. It is not for the faint of heart, and it is not meant to be played in prime conditions. In fact, one of the appeals of the game is that it can be played rain or shine, sun or snow, sweltering heat or frigid freeze.
Replacing Soldier Field with a dome is a pinch of salt in the wound. It&#8217;s one of the iconic venues of football. Again, I don&#8217;t care about the Bears either way, but even I get a little tingle up the spine when I tune into a primetime matchup at Soldier Field in December, maybe a dusting of snow covering the grass, that orange &#8220;C&#8221; in the middle of the arena. It&#8217;s up there with the Heinz, Lambeaus, and Arrowheads in terms of aura.
Domes are the antithesis of football, and dare I say America. They are fake in their presentation, communist in their value, and European in their softness. If I have to explain that to you, you just don&#8217;t get it.
The NBA has been destroyed by flopping losers. Soccer is never going to happen. Baseball is my favorite sport, but it is at the mercy of the elements. We can&#8217;t lose what makes football different, or America won&#8217;t have a true man&#8217;s game it can call its own any longer.

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart recently came under fire from the Left — and one of his own <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/muslim-nfl-players-post-criticizing-pro-trump-teammate-backfires">teammates</a> — for introducing President Donald Trump at a rally, prompting the president to defend him this week. 
In an interview with <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/trump-backs-giants-qb-jaxson-dart-rally-appearance-backlash">Fox News</a>, Trump was asked about the controversy and began by complimenting Dart’s appearance and skill on the football field.
“I wished I looked just like Jaxson,” Trump said. “I said, is he a male model or what? He’s a handsome guy, like a beautiful guy, and a, you know, conservative guy… He’s potentially a good quarterback, he’s a young boy and he just really started. And when he’s in the game, he moves the team.”
Trump then said that the pushback from the Left will only increase Dart&#8217;s popularity among conservative Americans. 
“So, when Jaxson gets harassed a little bit, he’s also loved more, because we have more people than they do,” Trump said.
Dart has endured sharp backlash from the Left due to his appearance at the Suffern, New York, rally last Friday, including <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/muslim-nfl-players-post-criticizing-pro-trump-teammate-backfires">criticism</a> from his Muslim teammate, edge rusher Abdul Carter.
Dart addressed his fellow teammates during a Tuesday team meeting to explain his actions and fix any conflict, and Carter has said that he and Dart have made up.
&#8220;Me &amp; JD6 are good!&#8221; he <a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/articles/why-jaxson-dart-addressed-donald-140151172.html">wrote on X</a>. &#8220;We spoke earlier as Men. Y&#8217;all can keep y&#8217;all narratives.&#8221;
Dart has not vocally backed Trump, but he has liked many MAGA-related posts on social media, as well as posted in an Instagram story last year that he was praying for Charlie Kirk’s family after the famed political commentator’s assassination.
Dart is not the first New York Giant to support Trump at a rally. Former Giants players Lawrence Taylor and Ottis Anderson both <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgeLzZk4InE">joined</a> the president at a New Jersey rally in 2024.

Former NFL reporter Dianna Russini hits pause on her Spotify account after a playlist surfaces for &#8220;Mike&#8221; amid her scandal with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
First, there were photos; now, a playlist to add to the pile of online evidence showing the married Russini and Vrabel in a not-so-loyal light.
Thanks to <a href="https://x.com/DavidCovucci/status/2048914416704409689?s=20">David Covucci</a> of FOIAball, the online world is now aware of Russini&#8217;s playlist, titled &#8220;Turnin The Page,&#8221; that was shared with a user named Mike in December of 2022, which just so happens to coincide with a Tennessee Titans&#8217; four-game losing streak. Vrabel was the Titans coach at the time, which, of course, makes social media users believe Russini made Vrabel this playlist to help him turn the page on his season.
This could all just be happenstance, but according to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2026/04/28/dianna-russini-spotify-playlist-mike-vrabel/#continued">TMZ</a>, the playlist includes songs Vrabel is known to play at practice.
The 15-song playlist starts out with &#8220;Cuff It&#8221; by Beyonce, followed by an array of genres including hits from Latto, Sam Hunt, Def Leopard, and KISS, among others.
If those artists sound good to you, unfortunately, Russini has scrubbed her entire Spotify profile after &#8220;Turnin The Page&#8221; went public and the &#8220;Mike&#8221; in question has now changed his profile name to &#8220;Tycar&#8221; — which, it can be argued, might be a combo of Vrabel&#8217;s two sons named Tyler and Carter.
The drama surrounding the former writer for The Athletic and current Patriots coach has exploded in recent weeks after cozy photos surfaced of the two this past March at a romantic resort in Arizona.
More bombshell photos released by <a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/04/23/celebrity-news/dianna-russini-and-married-mike-vrabel-caught-kissing-at-nyc-bar-taken-6-years-before-scandal/">Page Six</a> showed the two kissing more than six years ago in New York.

In the wake of the scandal, Russini resigned from The Athletic on April 14 and Vrabel said he would seek counseling, even missing Day 3 of the NFL Draft to prioritize family.
&#8220;My previous actions don&#8217;t meet the standard that I hold myself to,&#8221; Vrabel said ahead of the draft. &#8220;They don&#8217;t. And what I believe is best for the two most important things in my life, my family and this football team, is for us to take the necessary steps together and to give them what I told them I&#8217;d give them, which is the best version of me. And that&#8217;s what we&#8217;re going to do. And that&#8217;s going to start, and that has started, and that&#8217;ll continue this weekend, and it&#8217;ll continue for however long it takes for me to give them and to complete that promise of giving them the best version of me possible.&#8221;
Vrabel returned to the Patriots Monday after taking Saturday and Sunday off to attend the counseling he vowed to. During the draft last week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told ESPN that the coach&#8217;s situation does not fall under the NFL&#8217;s personal conduct policy and is instead a team matter.
Despite the public statements by Vrabel promising to be better for his family, neither he nor Russini have confessed to any kind of romantic affair.

Bill Clinton caused a minor commotion when he dropped by the pre-draft conference for the Dallas Cowboys. Owner Jerry Jones stopped the meeting to get up and go greet the former president, which led to many comments online about the 90s vibes given off by the whole interaction.
&#8220;President Clinton is coming through the door,&#8221; Jones can be heard saying in a clip of the conference that’s circulating online. 
&#8220;Uh,&#8221; the Dallas Morning News reporter said as Jones told him he could still ask a question. The camera then focused on Clinton entering the press room. Jones didn’t fully answer the reporter before making his way over to Clinton, stumbling on his way to greet the former president.

“Look at this right here,” Jones says with a laugh. “Come in this house. Yes sir, Mr. President.”
“This guy was recently named the second most American to have started with very little and have accomplished a lot. Look at him, it’s important. There’s a great story about him,” the Cowboys owner added.
&#8220;He&#8217;s been a wonderful, not only President, but friend over the years, and I&#8217;m really happy to have you here today,&#8221; Jones said. He also told Clinton it was “unquestionably” the largest press conference in the NFL.
&#8220;Thank you, I&#8217;m glad to see you,&#8221; Clinton said. &#8220;Have a good draft day.&#8221;
The Cowboys visited Clinton at the White House after their three Super Bowl wins in the 1990s. The last time Dallas took home the Lombardi Trophy was in 1996.
Jones recalled one of the visits, saying Clinton recited the entire roster of the Arkansas Razorbacks at the time. Clinton replied by saying it’s now “a different world.” Jones mentioned how difficult it would be to take the field in today&#8217;s college games, prompting Clinton to joke that he&#8217;d be the &#8220;late Jerry Jones&#8221; if he did.
Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones <a href="https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/cowboys-make-final-decision-of-george-pickens-franchise-tag">confirmed</a> on Wednesday that the team will not pursue a long-term contract extension with wide receiver George Pickens, but that he’ll play the upcoming season under the franchise tag.
