<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/carrie-underwood">Carrie Underwood</a> released a statement about how her family and pets were doing after their Tennessee home caught fire on Sunday night.
On Monday, a statement from the 41-year-old singer’s spokesperson made it clear that her family — husband Mike Fisher, their two sons and their pets were all safe — after a garage fire sent flames to their home, <a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/carrie-underwood-house-fire-statement/">Taste of Country</a> reported. 
“There was a fire on the property on Sunday night, which was quickly contained,” the statement read. “There was no fire damage to the primary residence, and the family and their pets were unharmed.”
<a href="https://www.wkrn.com/news/local-news/carrie-underwood-house-fire-williamson-franklin/">WKRN</a> news reported that all eight stations in the county of Williamson responded to the “Somethin Bad” hitmaker’s remote home when flames erupted close to 10 p.m. on Sunday night.
When crews arrived, they were able to utilize Underwood’s 10,000 gallon water tank on the property to help them battle the fully-engulfed blaze and extinguish it before it was able to spread to the home and cause structural damage to their house.

A statement posted on <a href="https://x.com/WilcoFireRescue/status/1802575568023498779">X</a> from the fire department read, “Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly to prevent spread into the house. Firefighters continue to put out hotspots to prevent further spread. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There are no injuries at this time.”
A spokesperson with <a href="https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/local/williamson/2024/06/17/carrie-underwood-home-tennessee-fire-singer-family-unharmed/74123843007/">Williamson County Fire and Rescue</a>, Dinah Wade, has since shared that an off-road UTV in the garage was reportedly the source of the fire, <a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/carrie-underwood-nashville-home-fire/">Taste of Country</a> noted.
The “Jesus Take The Wheel” singer has yet to publicly comment on social media about the fire.
Underwood recently made headlines after another scare when the camera caught the moment the singer fell right off the stage during the rain-soaked finale of her show at the Carolina Country Music fest.
In a TMZ clip posted on <a href="https://x.com/TMZ/status/1800211535903719850" target="_blank" rel="noopener">X</a>, Underwood continues singing as she walks to the back of the stage towards some stairs and then appears to slip and fall off them at the end of her performance at the Myrtle Beach concert.
Several fans spotted the fall and one can be overheard saying that the country singer “fell!”
Taking to social media after the concert, the country superstar seemed to hint at the tumble, noting it was an unexpected ending.

A 116-year-old Anglican church, along with artifacts and artworks, in Canada was &#8220;completely destroyed&#8221; in a massive blaze early Sunday morning, according to Toronto&#8217;s fire chief.
Crews responded to a four-alarm fire at St. Anne&#8217;s Anglican Church around 8 a.m., just a little more than two hours before the church&#8217;s Sunday morning service was scheduled to take place, City News <a href="https://toronto.citynews.ca/2024/06/09/toronto-st-annes-anglican-church-fire/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Firefighters worked to stop the blaze as surrounding properties evacuated as a precaution in case the building collapsed.
“The fire was deep-seated at the beginning … but as you can see the building is completely destroyed right now and as [are] all the artifacts inside,” Toronto Fire Services Deputy Chief Jim Jessop told reporters at the scene.

No one was injured in the fire, and authorities said they have not yet deemed it &#8220;criminal in nature.&#8221; The Ontario Fire Marshal and Toronto police returned to the scene on Monday to investigate the cause.
&#8220;Nobody was here, the church was locked, secure, all the lights were off,&#8221; said Rev. Don Beyers, the parish priest at the church. &#8220;It&#8217;s a real mystery to us how this even happened.&#8221;
Construction on the historic St. Anne&#8217;s building began in 1907 and was completed in 1908. It housed early paintings from the Group of Seven artists that were installed in the building in the 1920s, CBC <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/toronto-fire-church-dufferin-dundas-street-west-1.7229569" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Some murals were displayed on the church&#8217;s dome, which collapsed in the fire.
&#8220;The artwork was priceless,&#8221; Beyers said. &#8220;It was murals, beautiful murals. They were stunning. This was the only church that featured artwork by members of the Group of Seven. And I&#8217;m sorry to say that&#8217;s been lost, from what I can see.&#8221;
Beyers also wrote a letter to St. Anne&#8217;s congregants, saying, &#8220;Yesterday&#8217;s fire was not the end of the story, but rather the beginning of a new chapter. We will rise from the ashes stronger and even more committed to our mission to be a church for all people.&#8221;

Emergency crews responded to an explosion at the Chase Bank Building in Youngstown, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ohio" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ohio</a>, on Tuesday after the incident was caught on camera.
WFMJ <a href="https://www.wfmj.com/story/50838938/gas-explosion-reported-in-downtown-youngstown-building" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that information is currently limited about what transpired, but the blast appears to have been a gas explosion.
The bank occupies the first floor of the building, which appears to be the main floor that was impacted by the explosion.
&#8220;We are in close contact with local officials to check on the safety of everyone in the Realty Building and area,&#8221; said Angela Reighard, associate, regional communications at JPMorgan Chase. &#8220;After that, we&#8217;ll work to determine what happened and to assess the damage.&#8221;
Medical officials said that seven people were transported to the hospital with injuries, including one person who is listed in critical condition.
Authorities have not said what they believe is the official cause of the explosion and the State Fire Marshalls have already launched an investigation, the report said.

Drone footage following the incident showed a heavy response from emergency crews — including paramedics, firefighters, police, a bomb crew, and more — as the entire lower floor of the building appeared to be gutted with debris blown all over the surrounding area.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the arson attack on Friday that damaged an office in Burlington, Vermont, belonging to Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bernie-sanders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bernie Sanders</a> (I-VT), according to authorities.
Shant Soghomonian, who is also known as Michael Soghomonian and is previously of Northridge, California, was arrested on Sunday pursuant to a federal criminal complaint, the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s Office for the District of Vermont <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-vt/pr/suspect-arrested-arson-burlington-office-senator-sanders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a press release.
The complaint charged Soghomonian with using fire to damage the building at One Church Street in Burlington – a building used in interstate commerce and as a place of activity affecting interstate commerce, the release added.
On Friday morning, Soghomonian entered the building, proceeded to the third floor, where Sanders&#8217;s office is located, and was &#8220;recorded on a security video spraying a liquid near the outer door of the office and then lighting the area with a handheld lighter,&#8221; the release said, citing court documents.
&#8220;A blaze quickly began while Soghomonian departed via a staircase&#8221; and it &#8220;damaged the outside of the office door and surrounding areas, and the building sprinklers discharged on multiple floors,&#8221; the release continued.
&#8220;The Senator’s office was occupied by multiple employees who were not physically injured during the incident,&#8221; the release said. &#8220;It is not known how many other occupants were in the building, but no injuries were reported.&#8221;
The U.S. Attorney&#8217;s Office for the District of Vermont said that Soghomonian faces a maximum penalty of not less than five years and not more than 20 years in prison, as well as a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted.

A massive fire that erupted on Monday in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/texas" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Texas</a> Panhandle has quickly become the second largest fire in state history, engulfing more than 850,000 acres.
The Smokehouse Creek Fire has killed at least one person, destroyed numerous homes, and killed livestock across the vast ranch lands, according to a <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/28/us/texas-wildfires-smokehouse-creek-panhandle.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from The New York Times.
Governor Greg Abbott directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management (DEM) to deploy additional state emergency response resources to support efforts to address the fire.
&#8220;As dangerous wildfires continue to impact the Texas Panhandle, I directed DEM to immediately deploy additional wildfire response resources to ensure the safety of Texans and impacted communities,&#8221; Abbott said. &#8220;Thank you to our federal partners at FEMA for quickly approving Texas&#8217; request for grant assistance as we continue to fight these dangerous wildfires. I encourage Texans in affected areas to heed the guidance of local officials and first responders and to take all necessary precautions to keep your family and loved ones safe. We continue to work alongside TDEM, local officials, and emergency response personnel to provide all available resources to protect our fellow Texans.&#8221;
Abbott&#8217;s office said that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved a Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) request for the fires, which means the state will be eligible to be reimbursed by the federal government for up to 75% of the costs associated with fighting those fires.

Multiple <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/los-angeles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Los Angeles</a> firefighters were injured on Thursday morning while responding to a fire involving a pressurized cylinder on a semi truck that exploded as they worked to extinguish the flames.
The explosion happened around 7 a.m. local time while fire crews were battling flames from one of the truck&#8217;s two compressed 100-gallon natural gas tanks.
&#8220;The unique aspect of this vehicle is that it&#8217;s not run on diesel or gasoline, but it is actually propelled with CNG, or compressed natural gas,&#8221; said LAFD Capt. Erik Scott. &#8220;The explosion was significant. The ball of flame was as high as these telephone poles, and it actually did explode one of the transformers nearby.&#8221;
Video of the incident showed the powerful explosion shooting up a quick fireball that quickly dissipated likely due to the fuel source being natural gas.

The Los Angeles Times <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-02-15/several-firefighters-injured-in-wilmington-explosion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that nine firefighters were taken to UCLA Medical Center with injures from the explosion, including two who were in critical condition.
The semi truck was completely obliterated from the explosion and the status of its driver remains unknown. The explosion happened roughly 13 minutes after the call came in for emergency crews.
Officials said that they were not sure about the circumstances that led to the incident.

“This is a difficult day in Los Angeles,” Mayor Karen Bass said during a news conference at the hospital where the firefighters were being treated. “I’m here with a simple message to our firefighters in the building behind me and in fire stations across our city watching the news this morning unfold. The four million people of Los Angeles stand with you.”
Dr. Molly Deane, a trauma surgeon at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, said that it was a miracle that some of the firefighters were not &#8220;more severely injured&#8221; from the explosion.

Two offices belonging to conservative organizations were firebombed in late January, and the FBI has been assisting in finding the perpetrators.
Around 2 a.m. on January 28, at least one person broke into an office building in Golden Valley, Minnesota, and set two fires: One on the third floor and one on the first, John Hinderaker <a href="https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/02/they-firebombed-my-office.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">explained</a> at the Powerline blog. The third floor fire was set either just outside or right inside the Upper Midwest Law Center (UMLC), a <a href="https://www.umlc.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">conservative legal organization</a> that has filed lawsuits battling &#8220;diversity, equity, and inclusion&#8221; discrimination and other Left-leaning causes, including a lawsuit against Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison for a law that would restrict free speech concerning election issues.
The first-floor fire was set in the hallway between the Center of the American Experiment’s offices and space leased to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/takechargemn/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Take Charge</a>, another conservative organization that fights against progressive race myths.
Hinderaker, president of the Center of the American Experiment and a board member at UMLC, told The Daily Wire that while his organization is regularly “involved with things that tick off liberals,” there “wasn’t anything going on right at that moment of the preceding where you would say, ‘Uh huh. You know, that must be what it is.’”

Hinderaker said he gave the FBI a list of categories of people who might have set the fires, including eco-terrorists, Antifa types, a public sector union, pro-Hamas terrorists, or “garden variety Libs who are really radical.” He stressed, however, that he does not have anyone in particular he believes committed the crime.
But while Hinderaker doesn’t know who set the fires, he says he&#8217;s positive the perpetrators — he believes at least two people were involved — will be caught. Hinderaker emphasized that, while many on the Right have come to distrust the FBI, the agents he has worked with are “not liberals,” and that he’s “confident that this crime is getting the full attention and resources of the bureau.&#8221;

A camera inside the Center of the American Experiment’s offices captured one of the perpetrators put something down outside the door and leave quickly. Hinderaker believes the fire on the third floor had already been set at that time.
The person caught on camera is not recognizable, but there are also cameras on the outside of the office building facing the only road leading in that may have captured a vehicle driving up prior to the fires.
Hinderaker wanted the perpetrators to know that the fire has not stopped the work he and his organizations do. Those targeted by the fires are working remotely but continuing to do what they have always done.
Take Charge, the other group targeted, also said the fires would not impact their work.
“Regardless of the attacks, we’ll continue to educate all Americans on the truth Progressives want to keep hidden from public view,” the organization said in a statement. “We were targeted because we are a conservative black organization and we refuse to trumpet the mantra of systemic racism and march to the beat of the DEI drum.”

Kendall Qualls, the president and founder of Take Charge, says he founded the organization to push back against false narratives such as white privilege and systemic racism.
&#8220;The racial disparities in our society are not because of systemic racism but because leaders and politicians in black community allowed the fatherless home problem to grow from 80 percent two-parent families to 80 percent fatherless homes in our lifetime,&#8221; Qualls said.
Because of the extensive fire and smoke damage, the entire office building has to be shut down for the foreseeable future, Hinderaker told The Daily Wire. The building also housed multiple small businesses, including, psychologists, chiropractors, and financial advisers. They too, have not been allowed back into the building due to the fire.
In a statement this week, Hinderaker said his organization “would be announcing a reward to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.”

Footage showed smoke pouring out of the 9,300-square-foot mansion as firefighters battled the blaze. A Dolphins spokesman said that Hill left practice after the fire broke out and everyone who was in the home at the time was safe, NBC 6 <a href="https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/firefighters-battle-blaze-at-dolphins-star-tyreek-hills-home-in-southwest-ranches/3196499/">reported</a>.

NBC 6 also aired footage of four firefighters on the roof of Hill’s home, where they appeared to be cutting a hole in the roof to battle the fire. The star NFL receiver was later seen outside the home hugging his family members. Firefighters successfully put out the fire, and no injuries were reported, according to <a href="https://wsvn.com/news/local/broward/crews-put-out-fire-at-dolphins-receiver-tyreek-hills-mansion-in-southwest-ranches/">WSVN</a>.
Hill bought the Southwest Ranches, Florida, mansion in 2022 for $6.9 million, according to property records, NBC 6 reported. The home has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a home theater, a full-size basketball court, a pool, and two guest houses.

An oil refinery inside <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/iran" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Iran</a> went up in flames over the weekend, triggering several massive explosions.
The state-run Islamic Republic News Agency, or IRNA, said that all 18 reservoirs at the refinery in eastern Iran&#8217;s Birjand special economic zone caught fire.
&#8220;The initial stages of the fire consumed 1.5 million litres of fuel,&#8221; Iranian officials <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/refinery-reservoirs-near-eastern-iranian-city-birjand-catch-fire-irna-2023-12-10/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
The Jerusalem Post <a href="https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-777396" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Iranian officials were leaning toward letting the fire burn itself out because it was too dangerous for firefighters to get close enough to attempt to extinguish it.
There was no indication of what caused the fire or whether it was an accident or sabotage. Iran had not yet tried to blame anyone.

Newsom reportedly <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/losangeles/news/there-was-malice-intent-governor-newsom-addresses-cause-of-massive-fire-under-i-10-freeway-in-downtown-la/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Cal Fire investigators completed the initial probe and determined &#8220;there was malice intent&#8221; and &#8220;that it was arson and that it was done and set intentionally.&#8221;
&#8220;The determination of who was responsible is an investigation that is ongoing,&#8221; he said.
Authorities have not identified a suspect or suspects connected to the possible cause of the inferno, but the governor noted the fire started below the freeway within the fence line of a storage facility filled with pallets, trailers, and vehicles.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the blaze started around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday under Interstate 10 and quickly spread through the storage facility. Authorities said the flames engulfed both sides of 14th Street underneath the portion of the freeway, melted steel guardrails, and damaged a number of firetrucks.
LAFD authorities said 164 firefighters battled the flames through the night to extinguish the fire and defend three nearby commercial buildings from damage.
Fire Chief Kristin Crowley said at a news conference Sunday, &#8220;Wind pushed the heat and the flames under the freeway, and across the street ignited a secondary storage yard.&#8221;
Crowley reportedly said the fire covered about 80,000 square feet and that crews extinguished much of the blaze in less than three hours. No injuries were reported.

Mayor Karen Bass reportedly said there was no initial information to suggest a link between the fire and the homeless population in the area but noted that 16 individuals living in the immediate vicinity of the fire had been provided housing.
&#8220;There is no reason to assume the origin of this fire &#8230; is because there were unhoused individuals nearby,&#8221; Bass said.

Bass said during a news conference on Sunday that the structural damage &#8220;calls for the same urgency and effort&#8221; as the 1994 Northridge earthquake when I-10 sustained extensive damage but reopened in about three months.
&#8220;For those of you that remember the 1994 Northridge earthquake, Caltrans worked around the clock to complete emergency repairs to the freeways,&#8221; said Bass.
Newsom declared a state of emergency after the massive fire erupted beneath the major freeway — closing the thoroughfare&#8217;s now compromised structure indefinitely and impacting hundreds of thousands of commuters.

L.A. Freeway Closed Indefinitely After Massive Fire Compromises Structure

New York City is moving forward with plans to open a shelter for 2,000 migrants at an airfield in Brooklyn despite concerns that the situation will be a fire hazard.
The city is opening a massive migrant shelter at Floyd Bennett Field in southeast Brooklyn.
However, the FDNY and other city agencies recently inspected the airfield and flagged a number of safety concerns, including that fire hydrants are far away, older, and largely &#8220;not reliable,&#8221; <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/10/29/metro/fire-safety-woes-found-at-planned-floyd-bennett-field-migrants-encampment/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to a summary report obtained by the New York Post.
“This is a recipe for disaster,” <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/10/29/metro/fire-safety-woes-found-at-planned-floyd-bennett-field-migrants-encampment/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> New York City Councilwoman Joann Ariola, a Republican representing Queens.
“Floyd Bennett Field is a potential fire trap,” Ariola said. “If they can’t put out a fire there in a timely manner lives will be lost — families with children.”
The huge migrant shelter is set to involve four congregate sleeping facilities that can house 500 migrant families with children in tents on the airfield, which was converted into a national park. There will be 24-hour security.
The shelter&#8217;s heating and electricity will be provided by 21 diesel generators holding 564 gallons each, with a fuel truck refilling them each morning, although there will be no diesel storage on site.
Another concern is the city allowing e-bikes at the shelter. E-bikes usually run on lithium batteries, which have <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/06/03/e-bike-battery-fires-this-year-have-killed-more-in-nyc-than-in-2022-fdny/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exploded</a> and caused deadly fires in New York City apartments.
“We are out of room, and it’s not if people will be sleeping on the streets, it’s when. We are at full capacity,” Mayor Eric Adams <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/10/29/metro/fire-safety-woes-found-at-planned-floyd-bennett-field-migrants-encampment/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> last week.
New York City is attempting to metabolize the tens of thousands of illegal migrants who have streamed into the city over the past year.
Since last year, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10/26/migrants-nyc-plane-rides-00123778" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more than</a> 130,000 migrants have arrived, many of whom are still being housed on the city’s dime, causing New York City’s homeless shelters to reach their limits and forcing the city to open new facilities.
Recently, the number of arrivals has ticked up even more, with 600 migrants <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10/03/eric-adams-migrants-new-york-city-00119747" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arriving</a> in New York every day.
Over the summer, the city even <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-york-city-migrant-crisis-approaches-breaking-point-with-disorderly-migrants-shelter-space">resorted</a> to sending flyers to the southern border warning migrants that there is “no guarantee” of shelter if they come to New York and encouraging them to pick a different city.
The city has already <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-york-city-migrant-crisis-approaches-breaking-point-with-disorderly-migrants-shelter-space" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spent</a> more than $1.2 billion on the migrants and is projected to spend up to $5 billion.
“This issue will destroy New York City,” Adams <a href="https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2023/09/11/esuh-s11.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> last month. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month. … Every community in this city is going to be impacted.”
Earlier this month, the city started limiting migrant family shelter stays, requiring families with children to reapply for housing in the city’s shelter system every 60 days. The move is meant to encourage recently arrived migrants to find new housing.
A similar policy is already in place for single adult migrants, who must reapply for shelter housing every 30 days.
The move appears to be working — less than 20% of migrants who received vacate notices have <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10/26/migrants-nyc-plane-rides-00123778" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reapplied</a> for shelter.
Meanwhile, Adams is <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/04/nyregion/eric-adams-right-to-shelter-migrant-crisis.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trying</a> to suspend the city’s obligation to provide shelter to anyone who wants it, known as “right to shelter.” City Hall’s attorneys are fighting the issue in Manhattan Supreme Court.
If the “right to shelter” obligation is not suspended, the city must continue to find a place for any migrants who reapply for shelter.
In response to the lack of space, the city has opened more than 200 emergency shelters with <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/10/16/city-hall-says-its-moving-ahead-with-plan-to-make-families-reapply-for-shelter-every-60-days/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">plans</a> to open at least one huge “semi-congregate” facility that will house 500 families, which could conflict with state regulations that each household get a separate room.
