Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who many leftists see as the future of the Democratic party, on Wednesday made a scathing statement on the floor of the House naming members of the GOP who had received money from “somebody named Jeffrey Epstein.”

Last March, Crockett <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/crockett-slammed-over-bogus-statement-explaining-her-mockery-of-governors-physical-disability?utm_source=chatgpt.com">infamously called</a> Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott — who has been confined to a wheelchair since he was permanently disabled in his 20s when a tree fell on him — “Governor Hot Wheels.”
Speaking at a Human Rights Campaign <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/democrat-jasmine-crockett-faces-censure-push-for-governor-hot-wheels-taunt">event</a> in Los Angeles, Crockett mocked Abbott: “Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, C’mon now.”
“And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot-a** mess, honey,” she continued.
People online quickly pointed out that her later claim that she was not talking about Abbott’s disability was likely false, given that she had recently engaged with content from a critic of Abbott that specifically mentioned his wheelchair.
The post in question showed Abbott at the White House in his wheelchair, attending an event where the president signed an executive order starting the dismantlement of the Department of Education.
“Rolling up to the White House to cheer on the president destroying the agency that makes sure kids in wheelchairs have equal access to education is wild,” the post said. Crockett reposted and “liked” the post, according to screenshots shared by the original poster.

According to the BBC, President Donald Trump has <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/11/10/britain-bbc-crisis-trump-panorama/8fe0a43a-be1e-11f0-8eee-a78486b4c797_story.html">sent a letter</a> to the news outlet threatening legal action after the network aired an edited clip of Trump’s January 6, 2021, remarks in a documentary that was presented out of context.
BBC Director General Tim Davie and CEO of News Deborah Turness have both <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c3vn25d5dq7o">stepped down</a> following revelations that the documentary misled viewers by deceptively editing Trump’s speech.
According to <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11/03/bbc-report-reveals-bias-donald-trump/">The Telegraph</a>, a leaked internal BBC memo revealed that the program spliced together separate portions of Trump’s remarks, making it appear he explicitly encouraged chaos at the Capitol. The memo also reportedly warned of “systemic problems” of bias within the BBC&#8217;s coverage, including its Arabic service’s reporting on the Israel-Gaza conflict.
The fallout was immediate. Davie, who had served as director general for five years, admitted, “There have been some mistakes made and as director general I have to take ultimate responsibility.” Turness, who ran the BBC’s News and Current Affairs division, followed suit, saying that the documentary controversy had “reached a stage where it is causing damage to the BBC &#8230; The buck stops with me.”
The edited clip showed Trump saying, “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and I’ll be there with you. And we fight. We fight like hell.”
In reality, Trump stated, “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re gonna cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women.” More than <a href="https://www.npr.org/2021/02/10/966396848/read-trumps-jan-6-speech-a-key-part-of-impeachment-trial">8400 words later</a>, he declared, “Most people would stand there at 9 o&#8217;clock in the evening and say I want to thank you very much, and they go off to some other life. Two BBC executives announced their resignations on Sunday after controversy erupted around the U.K. public broadcaster over its portrayal of President Donald Trump in a documentary on the January 6 Capitol riot.
BBC Director General Tim Davie and CEO of News Deborah Turness announced their resignations less than a week after an internal BBC memo surfaced, saying a documentary on the events of January 6, 2021, painted Trump dishonestly. The documentary removed key context from Trump’s rally speech that day, falsely portraying Trump as having encouraged rioting at the Capitol.
“Like all public organisations, the BBC is not perfect, and we must always be open, transparent and accountable,” Davie said in a <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1k02vr1my2o">statement</a>. “While not being the only reason, the current debate around BBC News has understandably contributed to my decision. Overall the BBC is delivering well, but there have been some mistakes made and as director general I have to take ultimate responsibility.”
Turness released her own statement, saying that the controversy around the BBC Panorama, which created the documentary, “has reached a stage where it is causing damage to the BBC.”
“In public life leaders need to be fully accountable, and that is why I am stepping down,” she said, adding in defense of the BBC, “[w]hile mistakes have been made, I want to be absolutely clear recent allegations that BBC News is institutionally biased are wrong.”
The documentary at the center of the departures is titled “Trump: A Second Chance?” and it first aired a week before the 2024 presidential election.
Last week, the contents of an internal memo written by former outside editorial standards adviser Michael Prescott were leaked and published in <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11/03/bbc-report-reveals-bias-donald-trump/">The Telegraph</a>.
The documentary “completely misled” viewers, the memo said. It had included Trump telling his supporters to “fight like hell” while omitting that he had encouraged rally-goers in Washington, D.C., that day to protest “peacefully and patriotically.”
The report in The Telegraph sparked a response from Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., who suggested that the BBC is “FAKE NEWS.”
“The FAKE NEWS ‘reporters’ in the UK are just as dishonest and full of s*** as the ones here in America!!!!” Trump Jr. <a href="https://x.com/DonaldJTrumpJr/status/1985415134903161307">posted</a> on X after the contents of the BBC memo were published.
The memo has motivated backlash in the U.K. from the country’s opposition Conservative Party.
“These are extremely concerning revelations that could seriously undermine the brand and reputation of the BBC,” Nigel Huddleston, the shadow culture secretary, told The Telegraph. “The BBC license fee is justified on the basis of impartiality and trust. There can be no justification for this kind of deliberate manipulation and the spreading of misinformation.”

In late July, The Daily Beast removed an article that contended a modeling agent connected to Epstein introduced the first lady to her husband.
“The article, which detailed claims made by author Michael Wolff on a Daily Beast podcast, was replaced with an editor’s note apologizing ‘for any confusion’ after the first lady’s lawyers contacted the lefty outlet,” The New York Post <a href="applewebdata://99A5E016-B396-48AA-9D31-2AF1EB6DEB04/v">reported</a>.

The White House roundly rejected a Wednesday morning report from The Washington Post claiming that President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration was planning to send a number of illegal aliens to the infamous prison at Guantánamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt referred to the <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2025/06/10/trump-guantanamo-deportations/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> — which cited unnamed &#8220;U.S. officials familiar with the matter&#8221; — as &#8220;Fake News,&#8221; and declared that it was &#8220;not happening.&#8221;

According to The Washington Post&#8217;s report, the White House is &#8220;preparing to send thousands of foreigners to the infamous detention facility, including people from Britain, France and Italy, with no intent to notify their home governments.&#8221;
Citing anonymous officials — and claiming those officials provided the outlet with documents — the report said that those who could potentially be sent to Guantanamo Bay included a number from Haiti but also included &#8220;hundreds from friendly European nations, including Britain, Italy, France, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine.&#8221;
The Post claimed that the officials had insisted on remaining anonymous &#8220;because the matter is considered highly sensitive.&#8221;
Some of the alleged plans outlined by The Post included preparations for medical screenings for up to 9,000 people – and the piece was careful to hedge by noting that the plans were &#8220;subject to change.&#8221; The Post attributed the push to move illegals to Guantanamo Bay to &#8220;immigration hard-liners&#8221; within the Trump administration who were pressuring Trump to ramp up deportations.
Leavitt was not the only one to call out The Post&#8217;s assertions. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell added, &#8220;This is [100%] Fake News.&#8221;

The White House said on Monday that reports claiming President Donald Trump was moving toward a 90-day pause on tariffs are &#8220;wrong.&#8221;
After National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett discussed Trump&#8217;s tariffs during an interview on Fox News, reports falsely stated that Hassett revealed the president was considering a pause on all tariffs except those imposed on China. The claim was spread by numerous X accounts with large followings and was also discussed on <a href="https://x.com/atrupar/status/1909250858044313876" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNBC</a>, sparking a short-lived spike in the stock market on Monday morning.
A White House official told Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan that reports of a tariff pause are fake news.

Reports of a tariff pause began swirling after billionaire hedge fund manager and Trump backer Bill Ackman urged the president &#8220;to call a 90-day time out, negotiate and resolve unfair asymmetric tariff deals, and induce trillions of dollars of new investment in our country.&#8221;
&#8220;If, on the other hand, on April 9th we launch economic nuclear war on every country in the world, business investment will grind to a halt, consumers will close their wallets and pocket books, and we will severely damage our reputation with the rest of the world that will take years and potentially decades to rehabilitate,&#8221; Ackman <a href="https://x.com/BillAckman/status/1908992002366292286" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> on X.
When asked about Ackman&#8217;s comments and a possible pause on tariffs during his interview on &#8220;<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6371175485112" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox &amp; Friends</a>,&#8221; Hassett replied, &#8220;The president is going to decide what the president is going to decide.&#8221;
&#8220;There are more than 50 countries in negotiation with the president,&#8221; Hassett added. &#8220;We&#8217;ve got the prime minister of Israel coming today. We&#8217;ve had a reach-out overnight from Taiwan, but I would urge everyone, especially Bill, to ease off the rhetoric a little bit. &#8230; The idea that it&#8217;s going to be a nuclear winter or something like that is completely irresponsible rhetoric.&#8221;

A rapid response team created by the Democratic National Committee shared a fake video of Donald Trump Jr. purportedly saying the U.S. &#8220;should have been sending weapons to Russia,&#8221; not Ukraine.
FactPostNews posted the video of Trump Jr. speaking with someone who prompted, “But they forget that Ukraine isn’t the kind of country you go all in on — this is ridiculous,” Mediaite <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/news/viral-video-of-don-jr-arguing-america-should-have-been-sending-weapons-to-russia-is-fake/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>, adding, “The alleged comments went viral on social media, and were promoted by a number of prominent accounts including <a href="https://archive.ph/keItD" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FactPost</a>, which is run by the Democratic National Committee.”

The video reportedly shows Trump Jr. responding, “I honestly can’t imagine anyone in their right mind picking Ukraine as an ally when Russia is the other option. I mean, just think about it: Massive nuclear power loaded with natural resources everyone needs, literally the biggest country on the planet. And ha ha, there’s Ukraine, which has Chernobyl, and some radiation-proof dogs. Meanwhile, the Biden administration is like, ‘Oh, yeah, this is definitely the ally we need. With President Donald Trump following through on his campaign promise to deport illegal immigrants, the media and left-wing politicians have begun a campaign to turn the American people against the administration.
The latest example comes from Chicago Public Schools (CPS), which falsely claimed on Friday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had shown up at Hamline Elementary School but were denied entrance, ABC 7 <a href="https://abc7chicago.com/post/us-immigration-customs-enforcement-agents-denied-entry-hamline-elementary-school-back-yards-cps-officials/15833738/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. The federal officials were actually from the U.S. Secret Service and investigating a threat.
Before the truth came out – and even after – Democrats accused the Trump administration of conducting “raids” on elementary schools. Hamline Elementary School principal Natasha Ortega released a statement saying, &#8220;We will not open our doors for ICE, and we are here to protect our children and make sure they have access to an excellent education.”
Illinois Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker repeated the false accusation on X, calling the situation “cruel” even though it never happened.
“After a week of Republicans sowing fear and chaos, the first reports of raids in Chicago are at an elementary school,” Pritzker <a href="https://x.com/GovPritzker/status/1882900706132402318" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a>. “Targeting children and separating families is cruel and un-American.”
Alderman Raymond Lopez justified the false information after it was revealed ICE wasn’t involved <a href="https://x.com/RaymondALopez/status/1882910558162501943" target="_blank" rel="noopener">by saying,</a> “This scenario is precisely what I was fighting so hard to avoid with my colleagues on the City Council this past month: giving immigration officials an excuse to come into our communities.”
Fox News’ Bill Melugin noted that it appeared no one spreading the false information had reached out to the Department of Homeland Security or ICE, saying that both denied that ICE agents came to the school or were even in the area.
In an updated announcement issued after the initial false claims spread, CPS admitted that it was Secret Service agents who had come to the school. School officials said they assumed the agents were from ICE because their identification showed they were part of the Department of Homeland Security – which also oversees the Secret Service.
“While this was a misunderstanding in terms of the specific branch of DHS, the school&#8217;s response demonstrates that our system, in partnership with community organizations, is prepared and ready to keep our students and staff safe,&#8221; CPS said in a statement published by ABC 7.
Secret Service told the outlet they were investigating a threat and had gone to a house, where they were told the person they were looking for was at the elementary school.
Chicago Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson noted after the truth came out that it is &#8220;imperative that individuals not spread unverified information that sparks fear across the city.&#8221;
Trump has barely been in office for a week, but the Left has already attempted to manufacture disapproval of the policies that got him elected. On the day of his inauguration, media outlets shared a video of a woman at the border supposedly crying because she could not gain asylum by illegally crossing the border.
So far, ICE <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/homan-ice-has-made-1300-arrests-including-pedophiles-gang-members-and-at-least-1-terrorist" target="_blank" rel="noopener">has arrested 1,300 illegal immigrants</a>, Border Czar Tom Homan <a href="https://twitter.com/i/status/1882600909710168202" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> NewsNation host Chris Cuomo.
“Over a thousand of them are criminals. Who are the other ones? They’re either fugitives who’ve been through immigration court, have been ordered to be removed but didn’t, became a fugitive, or collaterals,” Homan told the host. “Look, I said from day one, no one’s off the table. If you’re in the United States illegally, you’ve got a problem. But we are concentrating on public safety threats first. That just makes sense.”

The Illinois Supreme Court on Thursday overturned the conviction of disgraced actor Jussie Smollett who was found guilty of filing a false police report in 2019 after claiming he was the victim of a hate crime.
The court overturned the ruling because it said he was unjustly prosecuted a second time after he was given a sweetheart deal by George Soros-backed Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx that resolved the matter as part of a negotiated settlement.
“We hold that a second prosecution under these circumstances is a due process violation, and we therefore reverse defendant’s conviction,” Justice Elizabeth M. Rochford wrote in the opinion.
A lawyer for Smollett said in a statement: “We are thankful to the Illinois Supreme Court for restoring order to Illinois’ criminal law jurisprudence.”
In January 2019, Smollett <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jussie-smollett-granted-chance-to-appeal-conviction-to-illinois-supreme-court">claimed</a> he was walking alone at night in Chicago during a polar vortex when two supporters of President Donald Trump — allegedly carrying rope and bleach — recognized him from his role on “Empire” and brutally attacked him while yelling racial and homophobic slurs.

Smollett returned to a friend’s home and called the police, still wearing the noose that he said was placed around his neck by his purported attackers.
It was later reported that Smollett hired two Nigerian brothers he had previously worked with to stage the attack to raise his profile and hopefully get him a raise on “Empire” and further his acting career. The brothers alleged that Smollett paid them to buy plain red hats that he later claimed were “Make American Great Again” (MAGA) hats, signaling the attackers’ support of Trump.
In September 2020, Smollett insisted he was “set up” and continued to claim that he was attacked by two white men wearing MAGA hats. The brothers who said they were paid to stage the attack are black. The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jussie-smollett-insists-he-was-set-up-says-he-has-two-new-witnesses-to-refuse-hoax-claims" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> at the time that Smollett suddenly started claiming he had two witnesses who could prove he did not fake the attack.
After Chicago police investigated Smollett’s original claims for two weeks, they suspected he had staged the attack. Smollett was charged with 16 counts of lying to police, but those charges were dropped as part of the plea deal he was given by Foxx.

President Joe Biden&#8217;s rapid response team took a swing at former President Donald Trump, and they used a deceptively edited video of him speaking at a recent rally to do it.
The rapid response team account for Biden-Harris HQ (@BidenHQ) shared the video via X, claiming that the former president had referred to all immigrants as &#8220;animals.&#8221;
&#8220;Trump: &#8216;Democrats said please don&#8217;t call immigrants animals. I said, no, they&#8217;re not humans, they&#8217;re animals.'&#8221;

But as conservative strategist Greg Price was quick to point out, the quote — while accurate — was presented without the context that came immediately before the video clip began: Trump was speaking about a specific illegal immigrant, the man who has been charged in the slaying of college student Laken Riley, at the time.
&#8220;The 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia who was barbarically murdered by an illegal alien animal — the Democrats say please don&#8217;t call them animals, they&#8217;re humans. I said no, they&#8217;re not humans, they&#8217;re animals,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;Nancy Pelosi told me that, she said please don&#8217;t use the word animals when you&#8217;re talking about these people. I said I&#8217;ll use the word animal because that&#8217;s what they are.&#8221;

When critics attacked him, claiming that he was painting all immigrants with that label, Trump clarified his remarks:
&#8220;MS-13, these are animals coming onto our country. When the MS-13 comes in, when the other gang members come into our country, I refer to them as animals. And guess what? I always will.&#8221;
Trump has also used the term when speaking about school shooters and terrorists.
