On Tuesday, after it was reported that the Gaza child who was featured in numerous publications as a poster child for malnutrition in Gaza actually suffered from other severe health problems, a fact that the legacy media — including The New York Times— did not see fit to report, The New York Times suddenly issued an editor’s note apprising their audience of the fact.
Media outlets employed the photo of an emaciated 20-month-old Gaza child to substantiate claims that Israel is intentionally starving residents of the Hamas-controlled zone. But the legacy media never reported that the child suffers from numerous medical problems — nor that his three-year-old brother looks healthy with no signs of malnutrition, <a href="https://david-collier.com/the-truth-behind-the-viral-gaza-famine-photo/">according</a> to an investigation.

“Except this image proves none of it,” he said. “Wider and unpublished pictures show Mohammed’s healthy brother Joud, who was born on 18 April 2022 and is 3 years old. Mohammed was born on 23 December 2023, just two months after October 7. What we can see from the pictures is that both Mohammed’s mother and his older brother, look healthy and are not suffering from any type of starvation that would be necessary to cause the thinness suffered by Mohammed.”
“This is visible in multiple images we have in our possession,” Collier continued. “The published images in all the various news broadcasts and publications have either been deliberately cropped to remove the image of the healthy brother, blurred him into obscurity, or the journalists have only chosen to use photos in which the brother is not visible at all.”
“We have appended an Editors&#8217; Note to a story about Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, a child in Gaza who was diagnosed with severe malnutrition,” the Times said in its statement. “After publication, The Times learned that he also had pre-existing health problems.”
“Our reporters and photographers continue to report from Gaza bravely, sensitively, and at personal risk, so that readers can see firsthand the consequences of the war,” the Times insisted.

The White House roundly rejected a Wednesday morning report from The Washington Post claiming that President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration was planning to send a number of illegal aliens to the infamous prison at Guantánamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.

According to The Washington Post&#8217;s report, the White House is &#8220;preparing to send thousands of foreigners to the infamous detention facility, including people from Britain, France and Italy, with no intent to notify their home governments.&#8221;
Citing anonymous officials — and claiming those officials provided the outlet with documents — the report said that those who could potentially be sent to Guantanamo Bay included a number from Haiti but also included &#8220;hundreds from friendly European nations, including Britain, Italy, France, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine.&#8221;
The Post claimed that the officials had insisted on remaining anonymous &#8220;because the matter is considered highly sensitive.&#8221;
Some of the alleged plans outlined by The Post included preparations for medical screenings for up to 9,000 people – and the piece was careful to hedge by noting that the plans were &#8220;subject to change.&#8221; The Post attributed the push to move illegals to Guantanamo Bay to &#8220;immigration hard-liners&#8221; within the Trump administration who were pressuring Trump to ramp up deportations.
Leavitt was not the only one to call out The Post&#8217;s assertions. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell added, &#8220;This is [100%] Fake News.&#8221;

Reports of a tariff pause began swirling after billionaire hedge fund manager and Trump backer Bill Ackman urged the president &#8220;to call a 90-day time out, negotiate and resolve unfair asymmetric tariff deals, and induce trillions of dollars of new investment in our country.&#8221;

With President Donald Trump following through on his campaign promise to deport illegal immigrants, the media and left-wing politicians have begun a campaign to turn the American people against the administration.
The latest example comes from Chicago Public Schools (CPS), which falsely claimed on Friday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had shown up at Hamline Elementary School but were denied entrance, ABC 7 <a href="https://abc7chicago.com/post/us-immigration-customs-enforcement-agents-denied-entry-hamline-elementary-school-back-yards-cps-officials/15833738/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. The federal officials were actually from the U.S. Secret Service and investigating a threat.
Before the truth came out – and even after – Democrats accused the Trump administration of conducting “raids” on elementary schools. Hamline Elementary School principal Natasha Ortega released a statement saying, &#8220;We will not open our doors for ICE, and we are here to protect our children and make sure they have access to an excellent education.”
Illinois Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker repeated the false accusation on X, calling the situation “cruel” even though it never happened.
“After a week of Republicans sowing fear and chaos, the first reports of raids in Chicago are at an elementary school,” Pritzker <a href="https://x.com/GovPritzker/status/1882900706132402318" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a>. “Targeting children and separating families is cruel and un-American.”
Alderman Raymond Lopez justified the false information after it was revealed ICE wasn’t involved <a href="https://x.com/RaymondALopez/status/1882910558162501943" target="_blank" rel="noopener">by saying,</a> “This scenario is precisely what I was fighting so hard to avoid with my colleagues on the City Council this past month: giving immigration officials an excuse to come into our communities.”
Fox News’ Bill Melugin noted that it appeared no one spreading the false information had reached out to the Department of Homeland Security or ICE, saying that both denied that ICE agents came to the school or were even in the area.
In an updated announcement issued after the initial false claims spread, CPS admitted that it was Secret Service agents who had come to the school. School officials said they assumed the agents were from ICE because their identification showed they were part of the Department of Homeland Security – which also oversees the Secret Service.
“While this was a misunderstanding in terms of the specific branch of DHS, the school&#8217;s response demonstrates that our system, in partnership with community organizations, is prepared and ready to keep our students and staff safe,&#8221; CPS said in a statement published by ABC 7.
Secret Service told the outlet they were investigating a threat and had gone to a house, where they were told the person they were looking for was at the elementary school.
Chicago Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson noted after the truth came out that it is &#8220;imperative that individuals not spread unverified information that sparks fear across the city.&#8221;
Trump has barely been in office for a week, but the Left has already attempted to manufacture disapproval of the policies that got him elected. On the day of his inauguration, media outlets shared a video of a woman at the border supposedly crying because she could not gain asylum by illegally crossing the border.
So far, ICE <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/homan-ice-has-made-1300-arrests-including-pedophiles-gang-members-and-at-least-1-terrorist" target="_blank" rel="noopener">has arrested 1,300 illegal immigrants</a>, Border Czar Tom Homan <a href="https://twitter.com/i/status/1882600909710168202" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> NewsNation host Chris Cuomo.
“Over a thousand of them are criminals. Who are the other ones? They’re either fugitives who’ve been through immigration court, have been ordered to be removed but didn’t, became a fugitive, or collaterals,” Homan told the host. “Look, I said from day one, no one’s off the table. If you’re in the United States illegally, you’ve got a problem. But we are concentrating on public safety threats first. That just makes sense.”

The Illinois Supreme Court on Thursday overturned the conviction of disgraced actor Jussie Smollett who was found guilty of filing a false police report in 2019 after claiming he was the victim of a hate crime.
The court overturned the ruling because it said he was unjustly prosecuted a second time after he was given a sweetheart deal by George Soros-backed Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx that resolved the matter as part of a negotiated settlement.
“We hold that a second prosecution under these circumstances is a due process violation, and we therefore reverse defendant’s conviction,” Justice Elizabeth M. Rochford wrote in the opinion.
A lawyer for Smollett said in a statement: “We are thankful to the Illinois Supreme Court for restoring order to Illinois’ criminal law jurisprudence.”

Smollett returned to a friend’s home and called the police, still wearing the noose that he said was placed around his neck by his purported attackers.
It was later reported that Smollett hired two Nigerian brothers he had previously worked with to stage the attack to raise his profile and hopefully get him a raise on “Empire” and further his acting career. The brothers alleged that Smollett paid them to buy plain red hats that he later claimed were “Make American Great Again” (MAGA) hats, signaling the attackers’ support of Trump.
In September 2020, Smollett insisted he was “set up” and continued to claim that he was attacked by two white men wearing MAGA hats. The brothers who said they were paid to stage the attack are black. President Joe Biden&#8217;s rapid response team took a swing at former President Donald Trump, and they used a deceptively edited video of him speaking at a recent rally to do it.
The rapid response team account for Biden-Harris HQ (@BidenHQ) shared the video via X, claiming that the former president had referred to all immigrants as &#8220;animals.&#8221;
&#8220;Trump: &#8216;Democrats said please don&#8217;t call immigrants animals. I said, no, they&#8217;re not humans, they&#8217;re animals.'&#8221;

But as conservative strategist Greg Price was quick to point out, the quote — while accurate — was presented without the context that came immediately before the video clip began: Trump was speaking about a specific illegal immigrant, the man who has been charged in the slaying of college student Laken Riley, at the time.
&#8220;The 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia who was barbarically murdered by an illegal alien animal — the Democrats say please don&#8217;t call them animals, they&#8217;re humans. I said no, they&#8217;re not humans, they&#8217;re animals,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;Nancy Pelosi told me that, she said please don&#8217;t use the word animals when you&#8217;re talking about these people. I said I&#8217;ll use the word animal because that&#8217;s what they are.&#8221;

These aren’t people. These are animals.&#8221;
When critics attacked him, claiming that he was painting all immigrants with that label, Trump clarified his remarks:
&#8220;MS-13, these are animals coming onto our country. When the MS-13 comes in, when the other gang members come into our country, I refer to them as animals. And guess what? I always will.&#8221;
Trump has also used the term when speaking about school shooters and terrorists.

Donald Trump&#8217;s best friends are in the legacy media.
I don&#8217;t mean that Donald Trump is friends with people in the legacy media, I mean they are helping him.
Members of the legacy media have been playing this incredibly stupid game since 2015, and the reason they play this game with Trump is because they play it all the time with other Republican politicians.
The game goes like this: Donald Trump says something that uses a bit of inflammatory language in a completely non-inflammatory context, the media then proceed to cut out the inflammatory language from the non-inflammatory context and then blow it up.
They&#8217;ve been doing this with Republicans for as long as I&#8217;ve been alive.
The weird thing about doing it with Trump is that Trump frequently says wild things. They don&#8217;t even have to do it with Trump. What they end up doing, however, is essentially showing the American public they are willing to say anything about Trump.

The latest example comes courtesy of the entire legacy media who decided to jump on a clip of Donald Trump at a political rally over the weekend — while the media is in a sheer state of panic about the 2024 race. They should be.
According to the Real Clear Politics <a href="https://www.realclearpolling.com/latest-polls/election">polling average</a>, Donald Trump is currently almost two points up in the national average. He&#8217;s currently leading in every single battleground state. Joe Biden is in deep trouble and so the media are looking for some sort of headline that is going to gin up the Democratic base.
Thus, they have to find something that says Donald Trump is a severe danger and he is going to overthrow the Republic; that there will be blood in the streets, the case that Joe Biden has been making since 2020. They say that Donald Trump isn&#8217;t just a problem — he’s a threat to the very nature of the Republic.
Joe Biden gave the worst speech I can remember, standing in front of a blood-red Independence Hall and suggesting his political opponents were going to overthrow our democracy.
That is the line the entire media have been told to repeat over and over and over for the duration of this election cycle.
And so they decided over the weekend they found the golden ticket. They found the clip of Donald Trump promising violence in the streets.
Here’s what actually Trump said:

China now is building a couple of massive plants where they are going to build the cars in Mexico and think, they think, that they&#8217;re going to sell those cars into the United States with no tax at the border?

If you&#8217;re listening, President Xi — you and I are friends, but he understands the way I deal — those big monster car manufacturing plants that you&#8217;re building in Mexico right now, and you think you&#8217;re going to get that you&#8217;re going to not hire Americans and you&#8217;re going to sell the cars to us now, we&#8217;re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you&#8217;re not going to be able to sell those. 
If I get elected now, if I don&#8217;t get elected, it&#8217;s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — That&#8217;s going to be the least of it. It&#8217;s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That&#8217;ll be the least of it. But they&#8217;re not going to sell those cars.</blockquote>
He&#8217;s literally talking about his plan to place a tariff on Chinese imports. That&#8217;s his plan, right? Tariffing Chinese cars imported via Mexico into the United States. And he says that if he gets elected, it&#8217;ll be good for the economy; and if he doesn’t, then there will be an economic bloodbath.
Now, that&#8217;s the sort of language that occurs constantly in American politics. Democrats often use the word “bloodbath” in a variety of contexts, talking about political bloodbaths and economic bloodbaths.
No one assumes what they mean is that there will be actual murder in the streets with the blood flowing freely into the gutters.
The word “bloodbath” happens a lot in American politics because it means a slaughter. We use violent language a lot because it&#8217;s evocative, but it doesn&#8217;t mean that somebody&#8217;s about to get killed or there&#8217;s going to be a civil war.
Obviously Trump was talking about an economic bloodbath, but — what did the media do? When Donald Trump said, “If I&#8217;m not elected, there will be a bloodbath,” they took that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/medias-wall-to-wall-coverage-of-trump-bloodbath-comment-delivers-zero-context" target="_blank" rel="noopener">out of context</a> and then proceeded to claim that what Trump was saying is that if he was not elected, that there would be a full-scale insurrectionist civil war in the United States with bodies in the streets.
Nancy Pelosi <a href="https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2024/03/17/sotu-pelosi-on-trump.cnn">said</a>, 
<blockquote>We just have to win this election because he&#8217;s even predicting a bloodbath. What does that mean? He&#8217;s going to exact a bloodbath. There&#8217;s something wrong here. How respectful I am of the American people and their goodness. But how much more do they have to see from him to understand that this isn&#8217;t what our country is about?</blockquote>
Jen Psaki, former press secretary for Joe Biden, <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2024/03/17/psaki_the_full_context_of_trumps_bloodbath_comment_is_that_he_supports_insurrection.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>:
<blockquote>The full context is that this is much bigger than one single speech. This embrace of political violence, this dehumanizing language. This is what Donald Trump has been preaching for years. In January, he warned that there will be, “Bedlam in this country if his criminal prosecution derailed his campaign.” In 2020 he reportedly asked his defense secretary about shooting people who were protesting the death of George Floyd, saying, “Can&#8217;t you just shoot them, just shoot them in the legs or something.” And of course, his very words inspired violence on January 6, 2021, when he told a crowd of his supporters to walk down the Capitol and fight like hell because, “You&#8217;ll never take back our country with weakness.”
Trust me, I could go on and on and on. We all know by now that Trump&#8217;s allusions to political violence are not merely rhetorical. His supporters take them literally. That&#8217;s part of the big problem here. And he knows that, too. So, no, we did not miss the full context. This was not some meandering yesterday comment. This is his message.</blockquote>
This is always the game with Trump: Take a comment and then spin it up to its greatest possible allusion while ignoring all possible context.
But you know why it helps Donald Trump?
Because everyone starts ignoring the media: they’re the boy who cried wolf. 
And if Trump does say something that really is egregious, there&#8217;s no place to go because the media already turned the dial up to 11.

Former President Donald Trump slammed the media on Monday after multiple outlets ran out of context headlines on a prediction he made about there being a “bloodbath” in the auto industry job market due to President Joe Biden’s policies. 
NBC News, CBS News, Rolling Stone, and other outlets published headlines on Trump&#8217;s &#8220;bloodbath&#8221; comments excluding the fact that he was referring to American auto workers being hurt by Biden&#8217;s trade policies. Trump made the remarks during a speech in Ohio on Saturday.

“The Fake News Media, and their Democrat Partners in the destruction of our Nation, pretended to be shocked at my use of the word BLOODBATH, even though they fully understood that I was simply referring to imports allowed by Crooked Joe Biden, which are killing the automobile industry,” Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/112116580305482725" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> on his Truth Social platform. “The United Auto Workers, but not their leadership, fully understand what I mean.” 
Trump also took a shot at Biden&#8217;s electric vehicle policies, which he said would lead to no cars being made in the United States. 
“With the Electric Car Mandate being pushed by Biden, there soon won’t be any cars made in the USA &#8211; UNLESS I’M ELECTED PRESIDENT, IN WHICH CASE AUTO MANUFACTURING WILL THRIVE LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!! MAGA2024,” he said.

During his Ohio rally, Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/complete-propaganda-media-and-biden-campaign-blasted-over-coverage-of-trumps-bloodbath-prediction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that China was building manufacturing plants in Mexico to sell cars in the United States &#8220;with no tax at the border.&#8221;
“Let me tell you something to China, if you’re listening President Xi, and you and I are friends, but he understands the way I deal,” he continued. “Those big monster car manufacturing plants that you’re building in Mexico right now and you think you’re going to get that, you’re going to not hire Americans and you’re going to sell the cars to us?”
“No. We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going be able to sell those cars. If I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it,&#8221; he said. 
After the speech, NBC News ran a headline saying, &#8220;Trump says there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses the election,” while CBS News said, “In Ohio campaign rally, Trump says there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses November election.&#8221; Biden’s campaign also commented, <a href="https://twitter.com/BidenHQ/status/1769163262283706801" target="_blank" rel="noopener">releasing a statement</a> on the “bloodbath” remark without a single mention of cars but repeated mentions of violence.

Poggi, the new head coach of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49ers, unloaded on journalists Tuesday after they only asked him a few questions during a press conference after ranking his team dead last — <a href="https://247sports.com/college/temple/article/temple-football-picked-to-finish-10th-in-aac-preseason-poll-213165185/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">14 out of 14</a> — in an AAC preseason poll as voted by sports writers.
&#8220;That’s it? Three questions?&#8221; Poggi <a href="https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2023/07/27/biff-poggi-charlotte-college-football-rips-media" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> at AAC media day. &#8220;Maybe that’s because you have us ranked last. Poggi&#8217;s comments are worth re-emphasizing so that readers can really get a visual for what he wants to do to journalists.
He said he wanted to &#8220;hold them upside down by their ankles and smack their heads off the ground a couple times&#8221; — like a pogo stick — &#8220;because they don’t know sh*t.&#8221;
That masterful use of the English language paints a vivid picture. Not since the days of NCAA basketball Coach Bobby Knight have we been given such a soundbite.
And how about Poggi&#8217;s undying belief in his players? To steal a phrase from Harbaugh, the 49ers must be ready to attack today with &#8220;an enthusiasm unknown to mankind&#8221; after his remarks.

Legacy Media&#8217;s lack of interest in stories that damage the Democratic brand is never surprising, but it is always illuminating.
The latest example can be found in the lapdog press&#8217;s utter disinterest in a bombshell memo naming and shaming Biden family members who allegedly took huge chunks of cash from a Chinese Communist Party-linked energy company isn&#8217;t surprising. That report was released by Representative James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, earlier this week.
Comer and others alleged that the energy company in question funneled more than $1 million in payments to Biden family members, including Hunter Biden (son), James Biden (brother), Hallie Biden (daughter-in-law), and a fourth “unknown Biden” from 2015 to 2017, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/chinese-communist-party-linked-company-funneled-over-1-million-to-biden-family-members-house-republicans-say" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The alleged evidence was found thanks to a recent subpoena of John Robinson Walker, a Biden family associate, and his company Robinson Walker, LLC. House Republicans alleged that Walker used his business to transfer money from the Chinese State Energy HK Limited, a firm affiliated with CEFC China Energy, to Biden family members.
For what purposes? That remains unclear, but, as Comer has reminded us, this is only one transaction pointing to possible corruption.
A story like that, especially in light of the &#8220;laptop from hell,&#8221; is explosive and has national consequences. And yet, Thursday evening, CBS, ABC, and NBC simply couldn&#8217;t find time for it in their evening TV newscasts, <a href="https://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/kevin-tober/2023/03/16/nets-ignore-bidens-daughter-law-receiving-chinese-wire-transfer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to NewsBusters. NBC News did cover it online late Thursday evening, but the story hardly made &#8220;front page news&#8221; for the outlet.
This &#8220;bias by omission,&#8221; as described by the media watchdog, is the norm for those sorts of outlets.
It is part of the longstanding, unspoken agreement between legacy media and the government. Whether intentionally or as a by-product of their own political inclinations, it has become a cornerstone of American politics that traditional media simply won&#8217;t report, or do the minimum coverage possible, on that which harms the Democratic agenda.
Most Americans <a href="https://fortune.com/2023/02/15/trust-in-media-low-misinform-mislead-biased-republicans-democrats-poll-gallup/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">seem to believe that</a>, which is why trust in the press is at record lows.
Perhaps it would be better if these outlets simply admitted their Leftist biases. It certainly would be a lot more honest than claiming to be &#8220;non-partisan&#8221; and objective.
