Hundreds of illegal migrants who stormed the beaches of the Spanish exclave of Ceuta staged a protest Sunday to demand asylum.
More than 70,000 migrants, mainly from Morocco, swam and scaled border fences to reach Ceuta, which is situated on the African continent, in a matter of days last month. Most of the illegal border crossers have since returned to Africa after complaining about a lack of food and shelter in Ceuta.
Between 5,000 and 8,000 migrants remain in Ceuta, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/spains-ceuta-hundreds-migrants-stage-protest-demand-asylum-2026-08-16/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Reuters. Most of the migrants said they left Africa to find work, which typically does not qualify as an asylum claim.
The protesting migrants carried signs reading &#8220;We don&#8217;t want to go back to Morocco&#8221; and &#8220;We ⁠are also human,&#8221; along with Spanish flags, according to Reuters. They also chanted, &#8220;We&#8217;re tired&#8221; and &#8220;We need a solution.&#8221;
&#8220;We&#8217;re sleeping next to the sea, with cold and bad ​smells. We&#8217;re suffering a lot,&#8221; one of the remaining Moroccan migrants, Ayoub Elarroud, told Reuters, adding that police blocked the new arrivals from going to the center of the city.
Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska said the migrants would not be allowed to stay in Ceuta, travel to the mainland to reach Europe, or obtain legal status, according to Reuters.
Following the mass migration event, health officials in Ceuta reported an outbreak of infectious diarrhea and scabies, along with a surge in stab wounds and other violence-related injuries, the outlet reported.
Spanish Health Minister Monica Garcia pushed back on claims that the outbreaks were tied to migrants.
&#8220;To associate migration with illness is unjust and xenophobic,&#8221; ‌she ⁠said.
Government officials are also scrambling to decide the fate of roughly 1,300 migrant minors who remain in Ceuta without their parents.
While the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/enough-is-enough-thousands-of-ceuta-residents-protest-spains-handling-of-migrant-invasion">president of Ceuta</a> argued the children should be returned, Spanish officials say they should find refuge in territories like Ceuta, EuroNews recently reported.
The border crush followed a ruling by Spain’s Supreme Court that said migrants crossing by sea cannot be immediately deported.
It also came months after Spain’s socialist Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, opened the door for more than one million migrants to receive amnesty to counteract the world’s “MAGA-style leaders,” according to The New York Times.
The program received more than double the number of applications the Spanish government had initially expected.
A week before the migrants organized a protest, the residents of Ceuta held a demonstration, with some accusing the Spanish government of &#8220;abandonment.&#8221;

Spain and Morocco have boosted security around Spain’s African enclave Ceuta following calls for another Moroccan migrant border rush, two weeks after a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/enough-is-enough-thousands-of-ceuta-residents-protest-spains-handling-of-migrant-invasion">migrant invasion</a> left at least 96 people dead.
Soldiers have been watching commercial and government buildings in Ceuta while police are patrolling main streets, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/spain-boosts-security-ceuta-calls-appear-online-another-mass-border-rush-2026-08-14/">according</a> to Reuters. Along the Moroccan border, security guards were seen on the beaches of Fnideq, one of the primary locations from which migrants illegally rushed Ceuta, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/world/spain-stocks-african-enclave-ceuta-boosted-security-morocco-monitors-calls-second-border-rush">reported</a>.
Morocco has arrested multiple people who circulated calls on social media for another migrant invasion into both Ceuta and Melilla, another Spanish African enclave.
“The Ministry of the Interior has detected, during the last few days, the circulation of anonymous publications and messages on certain social networks inciting the organization of attempts at collective and illegal crossing to the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, practices which carry serious risks to the safety of people and aim to instrumentalize migration issues in acts of incitement, which are criminalized by law,” the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior said in a statement, according to Fox News.
Meanwhile, Spain is still trying to remove Moroccan migrants from the first mass invasion. About 5,000 migrants are still in Spain out of the 72,000 who originally rushed Ceuta, the outlet reported.
Spain has processed about 500 asylum seekers and rejected most of their applications.
In late July, more than 70,000 migrants, mostly young men, entered Ceuta from Morocco by swimming or jumping border barriers, The Daily Wire reported. The migrants chanted “Bye Bye Morocco, hello Spain,” and video online showed one man pooping in the street. One Ceuta local described the event as an “apocalypse.”
“Businesses closed. Shops shut because if you open a business, it gets overrun. … We’re scared,” another local, a restaurant owner, said. “The streets are packed. There are no measures in place. It’s every man for himself. They’re not giving us any help.”
Earlier this year, Spain’s socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez created opportunities for one million migrants to receive amnesty. Still, Sánchez condemned the rush of migrants, saying the event “deserves our full reproach, our condemnation at the strongest possible level of rejection, condemnation, and consideration as deplorable.”
Meanwhile, Santiago Abascal of the Right-wing party Vox said Sánchez encouraged the migrant flood.
“They’re not fleeing from war or poverty. It’s an invasion,” he said. “They are military-aged men invited by Pedro Sanchez’s corrupt government to storm our borders so they can roam Spain’s streets shouting ‘Viva Pedro Sanchez.’”

All the while, the Spanish government says that the children who can&#8217;t be reunified with their families back home should find refuge and support in territories like Ceuta.
&#8220;Many of the unaccompanied migrant boys and girls do not have families, so in these cases the autonomous communities must act as their guardians and guarantee their rights,&#8221; said Sira Rego, Spain&#8217;s minister for youth and children.

Spain’s Interior Ministry attributed the earlier influx to “a court ruling to encourage the flow of undocumented migrants, mostly young people.” Spain&#8217;s Supreme Court ruled last month that migrants crossing by sea cannot be immediately deported.
As a result, migrant entries went from a &#8220;slow trickle&#8221; to &#8220;an explosion,&#8221; a spokesman for Spain’s Guardia Civil police recently told Reuters.

The Spanish government approved $29 million in aid for Ceuta&#8217;s migrant minors.
&#8220;Inter-territorial solidarity is necessary so these minors end up in other locations where they will be better off,&#8221; Miguel Angel Perez, government representative in Ceuta, said on Wednesday. &#8220;The law must be upheld.&#8221;
Conservative leaders in Europe have taken actions to punish Spain for its handling of illegal immigration since the latest surge. Italy recently suspended passport-free travel with Spain for a month after Ceuta&#8217;s latest mass migration incident.

Tétart averaged 21 points and a stunning 20 rebounds per game while shooting nearly 61% from the field during the 2025-26 season.
Tétart has unsurprisingly rewritten the record books, becoming the first player in the league to post 30 rebounds in a single game. In 12 different games, Tétart recorded at least 20 rebounds.
The male athlete was named Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and French (Domestic) Player of the Year in BeBasket&#8217;s annual awards following the 2025–26 season.
Outkick asked Tétart if he would consider playing in the WNBA if they offered him a contract. Sánchez traveled to Ceuta on Friday after deploying the Spanish military to quell the ongoing chaos. His government has so far refused to make an emergency declaration, as requested by the local government in Ceuta, since Spain&#8217;s civil protection procedures don&#8217;t consider migration flows a risk to national security, the Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/spain-ceuta-tarajal-morocco-migrants-5c864e5f951e2a7cf7a3eac417668e97" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
During his visit, Sánchez pledged to start removing some of the migrants and fortifying the maritime border.
&#8220;The Government will guarantee the safety of the residents of Ceuta, intensifying the presence of the Security Forces and Corps on the city&#8217;s streets. Additionally, we will deploy a physical containment barrier in the sea to facilitate repatriation at the border, in compliance with the Supreme Court ruling,&#8221; Sánchez said.
&#8220;We will expedite the repatriation files of the migrants who arrived irregularly. And we will maintain cooperation with the Moroccan authorities to continue fighting against the mafias that traffic in human beings,&#8221; he added.

On the Moroccan side, authorities clashed overnight with migrants making their way to Ceuta, deploying tear gas and water cannons. In the streets, vehicles were set ablaze amid the chaos.
But some migrants say that authorities in Morocco are helping facilitate their movement.
Moroccan national Ajoub el-Arrot, 24, who entered Ceuta, Spain, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/live/2026/07/31/world/spain-ceuta-migrants-morocco" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> The New York Times that Moroccan authorities &#8220;opened the border and let everyone go by,&#8221; adding, “I don’t know why they let us through.&#8221;
Migrants are continuing to flock to nearby Fnideq, Morocco, which has become a launching point for those making the trek to Ceuta.
Tensions in Ceuta remain high as migrants who have not eaten in days scour the town for food, as local officials say there&#8217;s no plan to feed or shelter the new arrivals. Some of the migrants have already chosen to turn around because they&#8217;re not getting any food as grocery stores shut their doors to them.

&#8220;This is really outrageous. I am surrounded, I&#8217;m afraid. How can I not be afraid? I even feel like crying. This can&#8217;t go on, this can&#8217;t go on, really. This can&#8217;t go on; we need help. The thing is, I&#8217;m shaking. Really, this has to be lived through. You have to live through this as a woman. You have to live through this as a woman,&#8221; Rocio said.
&#8220;You have to live through this to understand it,&#8221; she said. &#8220;This is an invasion. They&#8217;ve started with Ceuta, but this is the border to Spain, the border to Europe. Today it was Melilla, tomorrow it will be the Canary Islands. The day after, it will be Tarifa.&#8221;
At the end of the interview, the reporter remarked that the migrant group closing in behind them couldn&#8217;t be kept away or controlled.

Spain’s far-left Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, who is set to give amnesty to one million migrants this year, traveled to Ceuta on Friday after deploying the Spanish military to control the melee.
Sánchez vowed to deport some of the migrants.
Earlier this month, however, Spain’s Supreme Court ruled that migrants who enter by sea cannot be immediately expelled.
“The Government will guarantee the safety of the residents of Ceuta, intensifying the presence of the Security Forces and Corps on the city’s streets. Additionally, we will deploy a physical containment barrier in the sea to facilitate repatriation at the border, in compliance with the Supreme Court ruling,” Sánchez said.
After complaining they had not eaten in days and could not find food in Ceuta, thousands of the new arrivals began making the journey back to Morocco on Friday.

The European Broadcasting Union has issued new guidelines on how to film women’s sporting events so that the athletes won’t appear sexually appealing.
I know what you’re thinking. Who but you could dream up a scenario in which some Europeans have so little to occupy their lives, they actually found time to think of a way to discourage the six or seven people who watch women’s sports from watching women’s sports? Where but in the imagination of a living genius of joy could there blossom a fabrication so absurd that it could actually make the incipient takeover of Europe by radical Muslim rapists and murderers seem like kind of an improvement over the Europe we have now?
But no, so help me, I am not making this story up.
The European Broadcasting Union — whose members operate nearly 2,000 media outlets that reach audiences of more than a billion people across the continent — has drawn up a list of disrespectful camera angles to be avoided to ensure that televised women’s sports do not become sexualized or have any other reason to exist.

For instance, according to the document released by the EBU, camera operators should not use low angles during such events as the women’s pole vault, lest it provide male viewers with a momentary view between the jumper’s legs and afford them a glimpse of a gateway into a heaven of pleasure beyond their wildest imaginations.
Likewise, camera operators should avoid close-ups on a female athlete’s face during her moments of maximum effort lest it cause male viewers to speculate that such an expression might be similar to the one she has when she has been coaxed to a pinnacle of ecstasy by an expert lover’s masterful yet tender caresses.
Slow motion replays of the efforts of women runners should be avoided, especially if the runners are well-endowed, for fear it will remind the viewer of that time when he was thirteen and the new &#8220;Tomb Raider&#8221; game came out with a Lara Croft who could actually jiggle so that he sat in front of the TV pressing the jump button over and over until he developed carpal tunnel syndrome and had to tell his mother he had been typing a lot because he was writing a dissertation on the temptations of St. Anthony.
Also discouraged is any camera angle that falls below the waist of a female tennis player, thus revealing the way her adorable little skirt sometimes flies up in the air during her backhand so that the viewer’s eye can trace the mind-destroying curve of her silken legs from her sneaker-covered but doubtlessly suckable toes to the underwear so wonderfully filled by her soul-particlizing shapeliness.
The EBU’s British chairman Sir Nigel Skoolbottom says the new guidelines are meant to eliminate any glimpse of any part of any female athlete’s body that might sexually excite the male viewer. And since virtually every glimpse of every part of every female athlete’s body will likely sexually excite the male viewer, Sir Skoolbottom recommends that every potentially thrilling video of a woman during a sporting event should be instantly replaced by the image of a naked schoolboy being caned by a stern yet ruggedly handsome headmaster so that the viewer comes to understand just how very naughty he has been for thinking those dirty thoughts about someone of the same gender as Sir Skoolbottom&#8217;s beloved mum.
Now some critics have pointed out that men are more interested in looking at women’s bodies than they are in appreciating their athletic prowess or indeed their intellectual capabilities or career achievements or ideas or conversation, and that banning sexually stimulating camera angles might reduce the audience for women’s sports to three virtue-signaling lesbians who are only pretending to give a damn, thus making it almost impossible for women athletes to garner an audience and earn a living.
However, the European Broadcasting Union suggests that the problem could be addressed if the women athletes simply supplement their incomes by opening accounts with OnlyFans.

The Trump administration on Friday condemned Spain&#8217;s immigration policies and weighed possible retaliation after tens of thousands of migrants stormed across the Moroccan border into the Spanish territory of Ceuta. 
In a statement, the <a href="https://x.com/StateDept/status/2083197495119626476?s=20">U.S. State Department</a> accused Spain&#8217;s leftist government of facilitating mass illegal immigration, saying its policies fueled the chaos that spiraled into hours of anarchy and left dozens of migrants dead.
“The United States stands with the people of Spain, and all Europeans, against this egregious violation of their sovereignty and human rights,” the State Department said. “This unacceptable incident is the direct result of the Spanish Government&#8217;s deliberate efforts to enable and facilitate mass illegal migration into Europe.”
“We are considering actions to defend Americans at home and abroad from this threat and stand ready to assist other European allies considering similar options,” the federal agency added. 
In damage control, Spain&#8217;s Ministry of the Interior said more than 25,000 migrants have been deported back to Morocco, <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/spain-ceuta-morocco-migrants-border-crossings/">according to CBS News</a>. The leftist government also claimed authorities were removing roughly 150 migrants per minute. 
The Daily Wire could not independently verify those figures.
Earlier on Friday, President Trump weighed in on the controversy, which had sparked an international outcry, warning Americans that similar scenes could unfold in the United States if the balance of power shifted.
“It’s terrible. Remember that picture. That’s going to be us in three years if the wrong side gets in,” Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-issues-grim-warning-for-america-as-europe-reels-from-massive-migrant-invasion?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=2&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=Trump+Issues+Grim+Warning+For+America+As+Europe+Reels+From+Massive+Migrant+Invasion">said</a> during a phone interview with Fox News. “If the Democrats get in, you will not live a very good life.”
On social media, the White House echoed Trump&#8217;s argument, <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/2083199361316524348?s=20">posting a video</a> of a seemingly quiet and secure U.S.-Mexico southern border.
&#8220;While hordes of Third World migrants storm Spain&#8217;s territory, the United States&#8217; borders are locked down at levels never seen before. President Trump inherited a similar invasion to what Spain is facing, and he stopped it on Day One,&#8221; an official White House page posted on X.
Trump’s comments came after around 50,000 migrants rushed across the border into Ceuta, a Spanish territory on the tip of Morocco, bringing widespread chaos and unrest. At least <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/34-dead-after-tens-of-thousands-of-migrants-invade-spain">34 people died</a> as thousands of migrants, mostly young men, attempted to swim or force their way into Ceuta. 
The brazen invasion appeared almost seamless, with migrants encountering virtually no resistance. One military-aged man went viral on social media after recording himself with a <a href="https://x.com/visegrad24/status/2083138726314594810?s=20">selfie stick as he swam</a> to Ceuta to illegally enter Spain.
The migrants, emboldened by the lax immigration policies of leftist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, brought chaos to the streets of Ceuta, causing fear among locals who were overwhelmed by the flood. 
Migrant Ajoub el-Arrot <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/live/2026/07/31/world/spain-ceuta-migrants-morocco">told</a> The New York Times that he was surprised at the lack of resistance. 
“I don’t know why they let us through. Maybe they had some political reason,” he said. “They opened the border and let everyone go by.”

At least 34 people died Thursday as nearly 50,000 illegal migrants invaded the Spanish territory of Ceuta from Morocco.
Many of the deaths were drownings as migrants attempted to swim into Ceuta. Others were killed when they were trampled as the swarm of people <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/07/31/world-news/at-least-18-migrants-die-trying-to-cross-morocco-spain-border-a-serious-humanitarian-crisis/">broke down</a> gates and overwhelmed Spanish border officials. Most of the migrants appear to be young men.
Leftist Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who recently paved the way for a million illegal migrants to obtain legal status, claimed he would end the chaos. 
“The Government of Spain is fully committed to providing an immediate response to the situation in Ceuta,” he said. “We are mobilizing all necessary resources, working with Moroccan and international authorities, and preparing the necessary measures to restore normalcy as soon as possible.”
Later on Friday, he added that the migrant flood &#8220;deserves our full reproach, our condemnation at the strongest possible level of rejection, condemnation, and consideration as deplorable.&#8221;
The military has been mobilized to respond to the massive influx of illegal migrants who were emboldened by a decision from Spain’s Supreme Court that migrants crossing by sea cannot be immediately deported.
As they pushed past border officials, migrants reportedly chanted “Bye Bye Morocco, hello Spain.” Almost 50,000 migrants entered Ceuta and they flooded the streets. One video shared online shows a man pooping in the streets. 
“Businesses closed. Shops shut because if you open a business, it gets overrun. … We’re scared. The streets are packed. There are no measures in place. It’s every man for himself. They’re not giving us any help,” one local restaurant owner <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/07/31/world-news/thousands-of-illegal-african-migrants-overrun-spanish-enclave-turn-streets-into-open-toilets-and-bathe-in-fountains-an-apocalypse/">said</a>. 
Another local described the event as an &#8220;apocalypse.&#8221; 
Migrant Ajoub el-Arrot <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/live/2026/07/31/world/spain-ceuta-migrants-morocco">told</a> The New York Times he entered Ceuta looking for a job. 
“I don’t know why they let us through. Maybe they had some political reason,” he said. “They opened the border and let everyone go by.”
Another person told Reuters that he simply pushed past the police. 
“It was very tough,” Jadid Zacaria said. “The police tried to stop us. But our will and determination allowed us to come here.”
Santiago Abascal of the Right-wing Vox party said the influx was welcomed by Sánchez. 
“They’re not fleeing from war or poverty. It’s an invasion,” he said. “They are military-aged men invited by Pedro Sanchez’s corrupt government to storm our borders so they can roam Spain’s streets shouting ‘Viva Pedro Sanchez.’” 
In response to the videos coming from Ceuta, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said Italy is &#8220;prepared to intervene with extraordinary measures to defend the borders and the safety of citizens, including the suspension of the Schengen Area with Spain.&#8221; The Schengen Area is a zone that allows people to travel between 29 European countries without border checks.
“The images coming from Ceuta are striking and demonstrate, once again, that uncontrolled illegal immigration poses a concrete threat to the security of Europe&#8217;s borders.” she said. “On illegal immigration, we will not yield an inch: defending the borders, stopping human traffickers, and ensuring effective repatriations will continue to be the line of this Government.”
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called the situation in Ceuta “unacceptable.&#8221; 
“We cannot allow anyone to come to our Union without abiding by our rules,” she said. “Dangerous crossings must stop immediately. Smuggling networks must be dismantled. And returns must be swift, as our rules allow.”

Thousands of African migrants swam to the shores of the Spanish territory of Ceuta on Thursday, leading to a chaotic scene that officials are scrambling to contain.
Dramatic video shows the moment the migrants, who are mainly young men from Morocco, swam onto the shores with some using inflatable inner tubes before marching down the beach and through the nearby roads. The border breach comes after Spain&#8217;s Supreme Court ruled earlier this month that migrants crossing by sea cannot be immediately deported.
“It has been a slow trickle since the Supreme Court’s ruling, but today has been an explosion,” a spokesman for Spain&#8217;s Guardia Civil police <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/thousands-migrants-cross-into-spains-ceuta-foot-efe-reports-2026-07-30/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Reuters.
Juan Jesús Vivas, the leader of Ceuta, urged the Spanish government to make a national emergency declaration and deploy the military to quell the migrant invasion, according to Reuters. Spain’s interior ministry said it couldn&#8217;t declare a national emergency as it doesn&#8217;t view migration flows as a risk to national security, the Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/spain-ceuta-tarajal-morocco-migrants-5c864e5f951e2a7cf7a3eac417668e97" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez <a href="https://x.com/sanchezcastejon">said</a> the country &#8220;is fully committed to providing an immediate response to the situation in Ceuta&#8221; and that they&#8217;re &#8220;mobilizing all necessary resources, working with Moroccan and international authorities, and preparing the necessary measures to restore normalcy as soon as possible.&#8221;
&#8220;I just conveyed this to President @JuanVivasLara. This is the moment to build solutions, with responsibility and cooperation,&#8221; Sánchez wrote on X Thursday.
It&#8217;s not the first time Ceuta — which, along with Melilla, Spain, are the European Union&#8217;s only land borders with Africa — has experienced a mass migration event. In May 2021, the Spanish territory saw the arrival of roughly 8,000 migrants during a period of just two days, according to the AP.
The situation doesn&#8217;t appear to be coming to an end anytime soon as migrants continue staging at the Moroccan city of Fnideq to prepare to enter Spain, migrant ​rights activist Zakaria Zarroqui told Reuters.
&#8220;The situation remains out of control as we speak,&#8221; Zarroqui said.

Dramatic Video Shows Thousands Of African Migrants Storming Spain’s Border

Antisemitic violence reached its deadliest level in more than three decades in 2025, with 20 people killed in attacks across seven countries, according to a new <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/world/antisemitic-violence-reaches-deadliest-level-since-1994-new-global-report-finds">global</a> report.
The J7 Large Communities’ Task Force Against Antisemitism <a href="https://34d0dc30-7136-4c4b-bee4-d93d1c3c11bd.usrfiles.com/ugd/34d0dc_df70ed62a9ee42a99636df79620a9da4.pdf">documented</a> more than 23,000 antisemitic incidents in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, and Argentina. Together, those seven countries are home to more than 90% of the Jewish population living outside Israel.
According to the report, 20 people were killed in antisemitic attacks in 2025, making it the deadliest year for antisemitic violence since 1994. All of the fatal attacks occurred in J7 countries.  Violent antisemitic incidents increased 97% since 2022, while the total number of reported incidents rose 136% during the same period.
The Anti-Defamation League, which represents the United States in the J7 coalition, said the findings show the urgency of confronting antisemitism.
“This isn&#8217;t a warning sign anymore, it&#8217;s already happening,” ADL Senior Director of Global Research and Diplomatic Affairs Aykan Erdemir said. “If governments let antisemitism take root and perpetrators walk free, the violence won&#8217;t stop with Jewish communities. History shows Jews are the canary in the coal mine: when hatred against Jews rises unchecked, it&#8217;s an early warning that everyone&#8217;s safety and rights are at risk.”
The report concluded that antisemitism is “no longer confined to the fringes” in the countries it examined. It also found that anti-Zionism related to the war in Gaza has become “a vehicle for antisemitic expression,” while educational institutions have become an “acute flashpoint” for hatred.
Combined with growing online extremism, the report said Jewish people “across the globe report hiding their Jewish identity in public” and questioning “whether they have a future in their home countries.”
The report documented increases across every country studied. Australia recorded a 270% increase in antisemitic incidents since 2021, Germany posted the highest per-capita rate, and the United States documented 6,274 incidents in 2025, including 300 physical assaults, despite a decline from the previous year. 
France reported a 124% increase in incidents since 2021, while the United Kingdom saw a 64% increase and Canada recorded a 60% increase. Argentina experienced a 46% increase over the same period.  
The report said also examined Ireland, which is not part of the J7 coalition. Although Ireland&#8217;s Jewish population numbers only about 2,200 people, researchers said antisemitism has become increasingly common in everyday life and noted that the country lacks both a national strategy to combat antisemitism and government-funded security for Jewish institutions.  
The findings come amid several recent antisemitic attacks and alleged plots targeting Jewish institutions in the United States.
In April, authorities arrested two teenagers accused of plotting an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/teens-arrested-over-plot-to-kill-as-many-jews-as-possible-in-major-synagogue-attack?author=Zach+Jewell&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Teens+Arrested+Over+Plot+To+%E2%80%98Kill+As+Many+Jews+As+Possible%E2%80%99+In+Major+Synagogue+Attack">attack</a> on Congregation Beth Israel in Houston. Authorities accused 18-year-old Angelina Han Hicks of plotting alongside two male subjects to “kill as many Jews as possible.” Although investigators said the alleged attack was planned for 2028, prosecutors warned there was concern an attack could occur much sooner.
Erdemir said governments should focus on preventing attacks before they occur.
“The most urgent priority for every government should be protecting Jewish communities and institutions before they&#8217;re attacked, not after,” he said. 
He added that security measures alone would not solve the problem.
“Governments can&#8217;t rely on security alone,” Erdemir said. “It takes a whole of society effort, government, business, schools, civil society and everyday citizens, to root out the hate targeting Jewish communities worldwide.&#8221;
