Rapper <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/eminem">Eminem</a> will introduce former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/barack-obama">Barack Obama</a> at Tuesday night&#8217;s Kamala Harris/Tim Walz rally in Detroit.
While there are no plans for the Grammy Award-winning singer to perform at the event, his presence signals yet another attempt by the Democrats to use star power to influence voters in battleground states like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/michigan">Michigan</a>. CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/trump-harris-election-10-22-24#cm2kbqvha00003b6ngbgba49q">reported</a> that Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, will speak briefly about the election before Obama takes the stage.
Eminem is no fan of Donald Trump. He endorsed the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris ticket in 2020 and allowed his hit single “Lose Yourself” to be used in a campaign ad. In 2017, he bashed Trump during a pre-taped acceptance speech at the BET Hip Hop Awards. 
“I will say this, he talks a good one,” he said of Trump at the time. 
“And if you&#8217;re in his base &#8230; let&#8217;s say you&#8217;re going to the rallies or whatever, you watch him on TV, you hear him talking this s***, there&#8217;s part of me that understands, like, alright, he&#8217;s somehow still got them because he&#8217;s brainwashing them into thinking that something great is going to happen. Nothing&#8217;s happening. Nothing is happening. I don&#8217;t know, man. I get really flustered when I talk about it.”
He went on to create rap lyrics telling fans who supported Trump that he’d drawn “a line in the sand.”
“You&#8217;re either for or against/and if you can&#8217;t decide/who you like more and you&#8217;re split/on who you should stand beside/I&#8217;ll do it for you with this,” he sang in the song.

Eminem said during a December 2017 interview with Vulture, “[Trump] makes my blood boil. I can&#8217;t even watch the news anymore because it makes me too stressed out.”
“All jokes aside, all punch lines aside, I&#8217;m trying to get a message out there about him,” the rapper continued. “I want our country to be great too, I want it to be the best it can be, but it&#8217;s not going to be that with him in charge.”
Before he ran for office, Trump and Eminem were on good terms. The Republican nominee appeared on the Eminem concert special “The Shady National Convention” on MTV ahead of the 2004 election, per <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13987457/eminem-joins-barack-obama-detroit-kamala-harris-rally.html">The Daily Mail</a>. 
As of this week, Trump has had a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/polling-averages-have-trump-up-in-every-battleground-state-building-lead">slight lead</a> in every battleground state, but the races are still extremely tight. In Michigan, the GOP is in the lead with (+0.9).

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/taylor-swift">Taylor Swift</a> has been dethroned from the top of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music">Billboard charts</a>, ending any hopes she had of maintaining the number one album for a record number of weeks.
It happened when <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/eminem">Eminem</a>’s latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. This knocked Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” out of the premier position after 12 weeks. 
The “Cruel Summer” singer’s latest album debuted at number one in April and over the past three months, it did break the record for the longest-running number one album by a female artist. That title previously belonged to Whitney Houston for her 1987 album “Whitney,” per the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/taylor-swift-eminem-billboard-charts-6293aab7b77be26c4a7ecd8b14f43302">Associated Press</a>.
The album that remained number one for the longest time overall at 13 consecutive weeks is Stevie Wonder’s “Songs in the Key of Life” from 1976, which remained at the top of the chart for 14 weeks total.
“The Tortured Poets Department” tied Morgan Wallen’s 2023 album “One Thing at a Time,” which also debuted in the top spot and remained there for 12 consecutive weeks.
Eminem’s latest album is his 12th release and 11th album to debut at number one. 
Swift is currently still touring the world as part of her massively popular Eras Tour, which she recently admitted will come to an end later this year.
“A lot of you are like, ‘How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?&#8217;” Swift said during a Liverpool performance in June, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/taylor-swift-confirms-that-eras-tour-is-coming-to-an-end">reported</a>. “The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December.”
“That feels so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so fun for us,” she continued. “It’s taken over everything.”
“I think I once had hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore because all I do when I’m not on stage is sit at home and try to think of clever acoustic song mashups,” Swift said. “Just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort that you’ve put into being with us when this tour reaches triple digits of shows — so thank you.”

1. FBI Searching For Illegal Aliens Smuggled In By Individual With ISIS Ties
The FBI is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-searching-for-illegal-aliens-smuggled-in-by-individual-with-isis-ties-cnn-report">reportedly searching</a> for more than a dozen Uzbek illegal immigrants who are believed to have been smuggled into the U.S. by an ISIS-linked individual.
On Tuesday, CNN reported that earlier this year, Uzbekistan nationals were smuggled into the U.S. and then applied for asylum. The individuals were reportedly screened for any “red flags.” It wasn’t until after their release that the FBI discovered an Uzbekistan smuggling ring operating in cooperation with a Turkish smuggler who reportedly is connected to ISIS. After the discovery, top national security and administration officials held emergency meetings. National Security Council spokesman Adrienne Watson told CNN that there is no indication the individuals are terrorists. However, other government sources told CNN that more than 15 illegal aliens are still under criminal scrutiny. It’s unclear where these individuals are in the U.S. and how quickly they might be found.
Rapid  Reaction: As discussed earlier, some Biden officials told CNN that this fiasco represents the administration’s efforts to secure the border and is “an example of the system working as it should.” Apparently, under leftist logic, Americans should take comfort in the fact the U.S. responded to a potential threat — after the illegal aliens were allowed into the country in the first place.
One would imagine that “an example of the system working as it should” would be as follows: Illegal aliens arrive at the border. U.S. officials deport them back to their home country. A wall is built. The message is understood around the world: Do not come.
Yet the Biden administration has no interest in doing any of that. And so, the U.S. government has now welcomed dozens of improperly-vetted foreign nationals who were aided and abetted by an individual with ties to ISIS. And the president and his ilk see that as a win.
2. Illegal Alien Allegedly Crashes Into School Bus, Killing Small Child. Biden’s ‘Catch And Release’ Under Scrutiny.
Meanwhile, in Ohio, an illegal alien is accused of crashing his minivan into a school bus in Clark County last week, causing the bus to flip, resulting in dozens injured and the death of an 11-year-old boy.
35-year-old Hermanio Joseph, a Haitian who was in the country illegally, has officially been charged with aggravated vehicular manslaughter. Joseph entered the U.S. in 2022 and was released by the Biden administration with a “notice to appear” at an immigration hearing. He is currently in Clark County Jail on $100,000 bond. ICE has placed a detainer on him.
Rapid Reaction: Yet again, like the story about Uzbek nationals, &#8220;catch and release&#8221; is to blame for this man being in the country in the first place.

According to recent data, at least <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/immigration/two-million-immigrants-border-here-indefinitely">two million illegal aliens have</a> been allowed into the country under that policy. Such individuals are typically given an official notice to appear for a court date, often at a to-be-determined future date. Experts say that there is currently a years-long backlog, meaning that these individuals are free to roam about the country, often untracked. That data also does not include the hundreds of thousands who cross the border undetected each year under Biden.
Some <a href="https://apnews.com/article/immigration-courts-wait-54bb5f7c18c4c37c6ca7f28231ff0edf">illegal aliens</a> aren’t even given court dates. Others <a href="https://apnews.com/article/immigration-courts-wait-54bb5f7c18c4c37c6ca7f28231ff0edf">have to wait 10 years</a> for a hearing. The whole thing is a disaster.
This is just the latest heartbreaking tragedy wrought by illegal immigration. 
3. Sayonara Suarez
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/francis-suarez-becomes-first-republican-to-drop-out-of-primary-race">suspending</a> his bid for the presidency and dropping out of the 2024 race. The announcement came today, nearly one week after the first GOP primary debate, which Suarez failed to qualify for. The two-term mayor tweeted the following: “While I have decided to suspend my campaign for President, my commitment to making this a better nation for every American remains.”

4. Vivek Vs. Eminem
The Real Slim Shady has stood up and is demanding that GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy stop using his music. Rapper Eminem and music licenser BMI sent a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/eminem-tells-ramaswamy-to-stop-using-his-music">cease and desist letter</a> to Ramaswamy’s campaign demanding the campaign stop using the rapper’s song “Lose Yourself.” Earlier this month, the entrepreneur-turned-presidential candidate rapped the song at the Iowa State Fair.
On August 23, a BMI rep told Ramaswamy’s lawyer that Eminem objected to “the campaign’s use of Eminem’s musical compositions,” and that he wanted his songs removed from the agreement. The Ramaswamy campaign issued the following response: &#8220;To the American people’s chagrin, we will have to leave the rapping to the real slim shady.&#8221;
Rapid Reaction: In politics, it&#8217;s better to be talked about than to not be talked about at all. And right now, it seems the entire media landscape is talking about Vivek. Per the <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2024/president/us/2024_republican_presidential_nomination-7548.html">RealClearPolitics average of polling</a>, his stock is currently rising in the 2024 election.
5. Paper Straws: Bad For You, Bad For The Planet
Do you hate paper straws? Well, good news — you might have a medical and environmental excuse to never use them again. A <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2023/08/28/paper-straws-worse-than-plastic-pfas-study/70702090007/">new study out of Belgium published in the journal Food Additives and Contaminants</a>, suggests that “forever chemicals” or “PFAS” were found in the majority of both paper and bamboo straws tested. Such chemicals may have the potential to cause cancer and other ailments, and also negatively affect the environment. Per the paper, eighteen different PFAS were detected in total — and the most common one was banned globally in 2020. According to the study, plastic straws are actually better for you and the planet.
Rapid Reaction: If anything, this story serves as another reminder — if it seems like mass hysteria is gripping the nation and that corporations or politicians are getting caught up in it, you’re probably being sold a false bill of goods in one way or another. Eminem Tells Ramaswamy To Stop Using His Music

Superstar Eminem has had quite the transformation over the last several decades going from rapping in songs about his weaknesses with drugs to ones about faith.
Doing a deeper dive into the lyrics of songs by the 49-year-old rapper, we found numerous examples of messages about drugs, death, suicide, guns, violence, and more. His music contains messages about the struggle between right and wrong, as he mentions things like the satan and demons in such as his 1998 song &#8220;<a href="https://genius.com/Eminem-demon-inside-lyrics">Demon Inside.&#8221;</a>
In a <a href="https://player.siriusxm.com/?ko_click_id=ko_r850y360nozjzncwn&amp;type=show&amp;id=e240bbcb-72c4-4d69-1990-3a356ee78c7d">recent interview,</a> the rapper talked about his previous addiction with Vicodin and Valium and how he almost died in 2007 from an overdose, <a href="https://sports.yahoo.com/eminem-overdose-brain-pills-relapse-193240372.html">Yahoo.com</a> reported in a piece published Thursday. He&#8217;s been sober now for 14 years.
There are also examples in his songs that he may always have been searching for help with these battles with lyrics that invoke such words as the &#8220;Bible,&#8221; &#8220;Jesus,&#8221; and the &#8220;devil&#8221; way before his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bible-at-my-side-like-a-rifle-with-a-god-given-gift-eminem-talks-about-his-faith-in-remix-of-kanyes-use-this-gospel">latest remix</a> of Kanye West&#8217;s &#8220;Use This Gospel.&#8221;
As far back as his 1996 album &#8220;Infinite,&#8221;  Eminem, born Marshall Mathers,&#8221; rapped about God in one track titled,&#8221;It’s Ok.&#8221;
In it Mathers sings the <a href="https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/eminem/itsok.html">lyrics</a>, &#8220;But in the midst of this insanity / I&#8217;ve found my Christianity / through God and there&#8217;s a wish he granted me / he showed me how to cope with this stress and hope for the best / instead of moping depressed.&#8221;
In 2000, the Marshall Mathers LP dropped and Eminem became a huge celebrity, known for his shocking and NSFW lyrics, with hits like &#8220;The Real Slim Shady.&#8221;
The lyrics in his songs throughout his career also appear to tell the story about a man who knows all too well about the struggles in fame to steer clear from influences and stay on the righteous path. And those elements of faith have been interspersed in his music. Take a song like his massive hit in 2002, &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR1ECf4sEpw">Lose Yourself&#8221;</a> from the soundtrack from his motion picture movie &#8220;8 Mile.&#8221;
In the song Mathers sings the lyrics, &#8220;The soul&#8217;s escaping, through this hole that is gaping/This world is mine for the taking/Make me king, as we move toward a new world order/A normal life is boring, but superstardom&#8217;s close to post mortem/It only grows harder, homie grows hotter/He blows, it&#8217;s all over/These hoes is all on him coast to coast shows, he&#8217;s known as the globetrotter/Lonely roads, God only knows.&#8221;
In his 2014 song &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAkp1zRmLU4">Fine Line&#8221;,</a> he raps the lines, &#8220;And I don&#8217;t like how I see myself, so I open the Bible to Isaiah/&#8217;Cause I swear to Christ there are nights where I stay up at night/And say a prayer twice just to make sure God hears cause this ice layer/I skate on&#8217;s a nice way of putting it …&#8221;
In 2017, Eminem released his album titled &#8220;Revival&#8221; and it includes several songs that invoke words like holy water and God.
In one song on the album called, &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1WpP7iowLc">Walk On Water</a>,&#8221; he did with Beyonce, he sings, &#8220;God&#8217;s given me all this/Still I feel no different regardless/Kids look to me like as a God, this is retarded/If only they knew, it&#8217;s a facade and it&#8217;s exhaustive/And I try to not listen to nonsense/But if you b****es are trying to strip me of my confidence/Mission accomplished/I&#8217;m not God-sent.&#8221;
In 2019, Eminem is featured Fat Joe&#8217;s &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MiOsYJKNwk">Lord Above</a>&#8221; as he rapped the lyrics, &#8220;You ain&#8217;t seen God &#8217;til you starin&#8217; down a barrel/I was gun shy, but now like a snail/The slug&#8217;s comin&#8217; out of its shell.&#8221;
In January 2020, the superstar rapper released the surprise LP Music To Be Murdered By with a track called &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHZGOJ1kysc">Unaccommodating</a>.&#8221; The lyrics to the song address is then-feud with rapper Machine Gun Kelly and invoke lines about the devil and God.
But Eminem&#8217;s 2022 remix of West&#8217;s 2019 &#8220;Use This Gospel&#8221; produced by Dr. Dre for DJ Khaled&#8217;s &#8220;God Did&#8221; album is probably the most revealing song he&#8217;s done yet that puts a message about his &#8220;faith&#8221; front and center.

Though there doesn&#8217;t appear to be a definitive answer as to whether or not the legendary rapper is a born again Christian, Eminem has definitely used religious references in his music since the start of his career and those messages seem to be getting louder each year.

And yes, Dolly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dolly-partons-dollywood-to-pay-100-tuition-fees-and-books-for-any-employee-pursuing-higher-education">Parton</a> made the cut, despite the country music legend making a public plea to have her name taken off the ballot for fear that she didn&#8217;t meet the qualifications of a rock star. The singer said she was &#8220;flattered and grateful to be nominated&#8221; but did not feel she &#8220;earned that right,&#8221; as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/country-legend-dolly-parton-respectfully-bows-out-of-rock-roll-hall-of-fame-consideration">reported</a> by The Daily Wire.

Parton has yet to comment on being elected, but just days before the big announcement, she did come out and <a href="https://www.npr.org/2022/04/29/1095444447/dolly-parton-james-patterson-novel">said she&#8217;d</a> &#8220;gracefully&#8221; accept it after previously turning down the nomination.
&#8220;I would just say thanks and I&#8217;ll accept it because the fans vote,&#8221; the &#8220;9 to 5&#8221; star shared. &#8220;But when I said that, it was always my belief that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was for the people in rock music, and I have found out lately that it&#8217;s not necessarily that.&#8221;
&#8220;But if they can&#8217;t go there to be recognized, where do they go?&#8221; she added. &#8220;So I just felt like I would be taking away from someone that maybe deserved it, certainly more than me, because I never considered myself a rock artist. But obviously, there&#8217;s more to it than that.&#8221;

An assistant professor of hip-hop has proposed that rap audiences are less interested in white rappers&#8217; angst than they had been in recent years for this reason: President Trump has made them “tired” of “unhinged white rage.&#8221;
<a href="https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/dec/30/audiences-dont-want-white-anger-how-white-rap-grew-a-conscience">The Guardian</a> opined of white rappers, “These artists all initially found success with a melodic take on trap, a style rooted in the struggles of America’s inner cities, where young Black men are given few opportunities. Perhaps, post-George Floyd, these white rappers are reading the room and realising they need to embrace a sound that speaks more honestly to their experiences.”
AD Carson, a rapper and assistant professor of hip-hop at the University of Virginia, told The Guardian: “White anger and confidence is something rap audiences just don’t want to hear as much of any more,” adding that the shift “has everything to do with the current political landscape.&#8221;
“The unhinged white rage Eminem had great success with in the early 2000s was an extension of a kind of repressed rage felt all across white America,” Carson added. “Yet this rage is the same thing you now see coming out of the White House every single day. The idea of white grievance or supreme white confidence has taken the front seat over the last four years through Trump, and a lot of the audience is tired. Even if a white rapper truly came from struggle, the anger they carry might still struggle to cut through. They need to approach things differently now.”
“With white rappers and artists, it is much easier to shift into new sounds than it is for Black artists,” he continued. “It’s something we’ve seen with Pink and Miley Cyrus, who both tapped into a Black R&amp;B sound before embracing a quite obviously white stadium-pop aesthetic when the market called for it. White rappers can move between genre spaces in a similarly easy way as they’re not as hard-coded to the racial injustices that go with hip-hop culture like Black artists maybe are.”
In July, Snoop Dogg said of Eminem, “White rappers had zero respect in rap, Dre has probably put Eminem in the position where he could be labeled as one of the top 10 rappers ever. I don’t think so, but the game feels like he’s top 10 lyricists and all that that comes with it. But that’s just because he comes with Dr. Dre and Dr. Dre helped him find the best Eminem that he could find,” as <a href="https://www.rap-up.com/2021/01/01/eminem-addresses-snoop-dogg-disrespectful-comments/">Rap-Up reported</a>.
Eminem responded, “Everything he said, by the way, was fine, up to a point. Him saying Dre made the best version of me, absolutely, why would I have a problem with that? Would I be here without Dre? Rapper Eminem weighed into the national firestorm over police brutality and COVID-19 with a new song featuring Kid Cudi in which he scolded people for not wearing masks and quarterback Drew Brees for his initial opposition to those kneeling for the National Anthem, a position Brees has since apologized for.
According to <a href="https://www.thewrap.com/eminem-slays-anti-maskers-dirty-cops-in-new-single-with-kid-cudi-plus-f-drew-brees-video/">The Wrap</a>, the co-single, titled &#8220;The Adventures of Moonman and Slim Shady,&#8221; explore a variety of topics and give a shout-out to George Floyd, a black man killed by the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis. In one verse, Eminem explicitly denounces New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees:

Eminem has repeatedly used his music in recent years to push political messages, most especially against President Trump, whom he has referred to as a racist. However, Eminem has also shown to be slightly less partisan when it comes to certain social issues. His 2017 song “River,” for instance, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/eminem-song-river-apologizes-aborted-child-paul-bois">apologized to an aborted child</a>.
“We can’t bring her in this world, shoulda knew/To use protection,” he says in the song. “I made you terminate my baby.”
Eminem also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-rapper-eminem-evokes-vegas-massacre-in-pro-gun-control-music-video">sang about gun violence</a> in a music video earlier this year for the song “Darkness” featuring a variety of pro gun-control imageries, messages, and themes. The video also evoked the Vegas massacre by intercutting with footage of a hooded man in a hotel room drinking himself into a stupor as he occasionally peers through the window curtains onto the streets below, appearing to internally wrestle with himself in anticipation of a deadly decision.

‘F*** Drew Brees’: Eminem Scolds People Not Wearing Masks, Police Brutality In New Song

Rapper Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, was a guest on the latest episode of the “Young Money Radio” podcast hosted by Lil Wayne.
During the podcast, the rapper announced that he had donated $250,000 to his Marshall Mathers Foundation, an organization “dedicated to providing assistance to disadvantaged and at-risk youth primarily in Detroit, Michigan and it&#8217;s surrounding communities,” according to <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/the-marshall-mathers-foundation-and-carhartt-partner-to-offer-charity-hoodie-277528221.html">PRNewswire</a>.
After speaking with Mathers about quarantine, the ESPN Michael Jordan docuseries “The Last Dance,” and music, Wayne asked the rapper about a special food donation he made to Detroit’s front-line workers in late-April.
Referencing lyrics from Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself,” the rapper <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/24/us/eminem-moms-spaghetti-detroit-hospitals-trnd/index.html">partnered with Union Joints</a>, a Detroit catering company, to provide workers with tubs of spaghetti.
“Everybody’s just trying to do their part. With the Mom’s Spaghetti thing, for the people who can’t stay at home, and they have to work and put themselves at risk for this thing,” the rapper said, “you know, just to be able to put a smile on somebody’s face and provide some food&#8230;”
Lil Wayne continued, noting that Eminem had donated a quarter of a million dollars “to the charity.”
“Appreciate that, man,” Wayne said. “I’m sure they will, too.”
Eminem replied:

Immediately following Eminem’s segment, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey called in, and announced that he would be contributing $750,000 to the charity to make it an even million between himself and Eminem.
The billionaire CEO first talked about his having “moved a billion dollars worth of my Square equity to an LLC so that I [could] immediately help COVID relief in this country and broader Africa.”
Dorsey added that the “fund actually has $1.4 billion” because it’s in equity, so the value can grow as stock rises.
“We&#8217;re focusing right now on just some of the invisible collateral damage like a rise in domestic abuse, sheltering women and their kids,” Dorsey stated. “We’re focusing on New Orleans, on Detroit. I&#8217;m from St. Louis, so those are meaningful cities to me &#8230; Navajo Nation testing capacity, and then we&#8217;re gonna hook into Africa and figure out where we can help as well. So, we&#8217;re doing everything we can just make sure that people have food, they have shelter, they have testing capacity, and we can reopen safely again and be confident.”

Rap star Eminem has revitalized his career with Trump-bashing songs. His latest surprise album, &#8220;Kamikaze,&#8221; takes yet another shot at the President in line with his last project, &#8220;Revival,&#8221; which came out earlier this year.

According to <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/music/2018/aug/31/eminem-donald-trump-surprise-album-kamikaze">The Guardian</a>, in the first track, called &#8220;The Ringer,&#8221; Eminem references his <a data-link-name="in body link" href="https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/dec/07/the-woke-slim-shady-understanding-eminem-in-the-age-of-trump">two freestyles</a> last year in which he blasted Trump as a &#8220;racist&#8221; while suggesting Trump would bring about nuclear war. During a performance of his song &#8220;Nowhere Fast&#8221; for the iHeartRadio Music awards at The Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday, Eminem added a new verse slamming the NRA, the &#8220;puppet&#8221; president, and gun owners in general, whom he described as &#8220;clutching their loaded weapons&#8221; and &#8220;lov[ing] their guns more than our children.&#8221;
