The Trump administration&#8217;s top auto policy officials on Saturday touted federal efforts to lower car prices by eliminating vehicle emissions regulations, as affordability remains a key concern among Americans.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, Environmental Protection Agency head Lee Zeldin and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer toured the annual Detroit Auto Show to wrap up a two-day Midwestern swing that included stops at a Ford truck factory and Stellantis Jeep plant in Ohio on Friday.
The administration has aggressively rolled back electric vehicle rules from former President Joe Biden&#8217;s administration.
Duffy said the rules &#8220;will bring car prices down and allow car companies to offer products that Americans want to buy.&#8221;
He added, &#8220;this is not a war on EVs at all &#8230; We shouldn&#8217;t use government policy to encourage EV purchases all the while penalizing combustion engines.&#8221;
President Donald Trump is grappling with economic headwinds a year after taking office and ahead of November&#8217;s midterm ⁠elections, having campaigned on quickly fixing higher prices for American consumers.
Average new car transaction prices hit a record $50,326 in December as Americans bought more pricey trucks and SUVs, research firm Cox Automotive said, while automakers are offering fewer entry-level vehicles.
Trump signed legislation last year eliminating a $7,500 EV tax credit, rescinding California&#8217;s EV rules and cancelling penalties for automakers not meeting fuel efficiency requirements.
Zeldin said the government &#8220;should not be forcing, requiring, mandating that the market go in a direction other than what the American consumer is demanding.&#8221;
Automakers also face steep tariffs imposed by Trump on imported vehicles and parts. Despite the EV policy changes and new tariffs, new U.S. vehicle sales rose 2.4% in 2025 to 16.2 million vehicles.
Democrats say auto tariffs and efforts to eliminate EV incentives will harm consumers. But Greer said car prices are trending down and &#8220;whatever effects those tariffs may have on various parts of the supply chain, they&#8217;re not really getting down to the consumer.&#8221;
Kathy Harris, director of clean vehicles at environmental activist group NRDC, criticized the administration&#8217;s auto policies. &#8220;The oil industry will rake in billions more from cash-strapped Americans who can&#8217;t afford to spend more to fuel up their car or truck.&#8221;
In December, the U.S. Department of Transportation proposed rolling back Biden-era fuel efficiency standards that had prodded auto companies to build more EVs to comply. The EPA is also expected to finalize a rule in the coming weeks eliminating vehicle tailpipe emissions requirements.
USDOT estimates its proposal would reduce average up-front vehicle costs by $930, but increase fuel consumption by as much as 100 billion gallons through 2050, and cost Americans up to another $185 billion for fuel.

Gerry McGovern, the chief creative officer behind the disastrous Jaguar rebranding campaign, has reportedly been fired from the company just months after the new CEO took over, as originally <a href="https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/jlr-axes-design-boss-gerry-mcgovern">reported</a> by U.K.-based outlet Autocar.
McGovern was a 20-year veteran of the company and, per the outlet, was the main force behind the failed avant-garde marketing campaign that received mostly negative reviews from consumers. 
The shakeup comes just months after the car manufacturer appointed Indian national PB Balaji as chief executive officer following the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jaguar-ceo-steps-down-months-after-woke-rebrand-commercial-went-viral">departure</a> of Adrian Mardell.
The ad campaign for Jaguar sparked massive criticism online following its November 2024 release. The “Copy Nothing” campaign included a colorful commercial of people dressed in vibrant, outlandish outfits. The characters could be seen grabbing sledgehammers, painting over the camera lens, and striking poses as the music played.
One of the chief criticisms from viewers was that the ad did not feature any cars. 
Instead, disjointed phrases such as “create exuberant,” “live vivid,” “delete ordinary,” “break molds,” and “copy nothing” appear on the screen.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the ad, writing, “Do you sell cars?”
The social media account replied to many commenters questioning the ad, saying things like, “The story is unfolding. Stay tuned,” “We’re shifting gears, not our purpose,” and “Consider this the first brushstroke.”
The ad was part of a huge brand overhaul, which was described as going in a new EV-only direction.
Managing director Rawdon Glover complained about the backlash during an interview with the Financial Times, saying the campaign messaging was drowned out in “a blaze of intolerance” on social media. Glover also claimed that the colorful new ad was not meant to be “woke.”
McGovern defended the campaign at the time, saying, “Jaguar has its roots in originality. Sir William Lyons, our founder, believed that ‘a Jaguar should be a copy of nothing.’ Our vision for Jaguar today is informed by this philosophy. New Jaguar is a brand built around Exuberant Modernism.”
He continued, “It is imaginative, bold and artistic at every touchpoint. It is unique and fearless. We are creating Jaguar for the future, restoring its status as a brand that enriches the lives of our clients and the Jaguar community.”
Jaguar sales in Europe <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/07/01/business/jaguar-sales-plummet-after-botched-rebrand-ev-pivot/">dropped</a> by a whopping 97.5% following the botched rebrand as the car manufacturer transitioned from gasoline-powered vehicles to all-electric. 
The company told The Daily Wire on Thursday that they will not be commenting on the situation.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) is revising fuel economy standards to make cars more affordable for Americans.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is resetting the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards and medium and heavy-duty fuel efficiency programs (MDHD). NHTSA&#8217;s Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards regulate how far vehicles must travel on a gallon of fuel. The Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA) of 1975 directs the Secretary of Transportation and the NHTSA to prescribe average fuel economy standards for vehicles.
“Under President Trump’s leadership, we are making vehicles more affordable and easier to manufacture in the United States. The previous administration illegally used CAFE standards as an electric vehicle mandate – raising new car prices and reducing safety. Resetting CAFE standards as Congress intended will lower vehicle costs and ensure the American people can purchase the cars they want,” U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. “EPCA was passed in the context of the Arab oil embargoes of the 1970s when American consumers and the U.S. economy were threatened by gasoline shortages and high fuel prices,” DOT <a href="https://www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/2025-06/cafe-interpretive-rule-2127-ZA26-web.pdf">notes</a>, adding, “the purpose of the CAFE program was to induce automakers into offering America’s consumers more efficient vehicle options to advance the national goal of conserving energy &#8230; The statutory prohibition was clear at the time of enactment and has remained clear: it is impermissible for NHTSA to consider the fuel economy of dedicated automobiles in setting maximum feasible fuel economy standards.”
“NHTSA will reset the CAFE and MDHD standards programs consistent with the law,” DOT stated. “This interpretation lays the appropriate groundwork for standard-setting rulemakings that will rest the agency’s regulatory programs as determined necessary to bring them into compliance with Administration policy and applicable substantive statutory requirements as enacted by Congress &#8230;”
On the day he was inaugurated, President Donald Trump issued <a href="https://public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2025-01956.pdf">Executive Order</a> 14154, in which he stated, “It is the policy of the United States to ensure that all regulatory requirements related to energy are grounded in clearly applicable law; to eliminate the ‘electric vehicle (EV) mandate’ and promote true consumer choice, which is essential for economic growth and innovation, by removing regulatory barriers to motor vehicle access; by ensuring a level regulatory playing field for consumer choice in vehicles; by terminating, where appropriate, state emissions waivers that function to limit sales of gasoline-powered automobiles &#8230;”

On Thursday, President Donald Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-says-hes-very-disappointed-with-elon-musk-fires-back" target="_blank" rel="noopener">railed</a> against Elon Musk over the “One Big, Beautiful Bill,” pinning the tech billionaire&#8217;s opposition to its plan to phase out federal electric vehicle tax credits. But is it really to blame?
Musk, whose Tesla company sells electric vehicles, “only developed the problem [with the bill] when he found out we’re going to have to cut the EV mandate because that&#8217;s billions and billions of dollars,&#8221; Trump <a href="https://x.com/theblaze/status/1930659597905170561" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> reporters at the White House.
&#8220;And it really is unfair,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;We want to have cars of all types — electric — we want to have electric, but we want to have gasoline combustion. We want to have different — we want to have hybrids. &#8230; We want to be able to sell everything.&#8221;
The bill accelerates the phase-out of the $7,500 consumer tax credit for electric vehicles from December 31, 2032, to the end of this year. It also outlines terms for a one-year reprieve, but Tesla has already surpassed the 200,000 sales cap to qualify.
In response to Trump, Musk declared that he does not care whether the bill retains cuts for credits on electric vehicles — as well as solar, which is expected to impact the Tesla Energy division with its solar panels and battery storage products.
&#8220;Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil &amp; gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill,&#8221; Musk <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1930660788739698878" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a post on X.

Musk also <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1930680655173882078" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tagged</a> the president in another post, asking if he remembered their joint appearance outside the White House in March, when Trump <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc-p9zG00G8" target="_blank" rel="noopener">praised</a> Musk for not complaining that he &#8220;ended&#8221; the EV mandate.
In a post from &#8220;Tesla Owners Silicon Valley,&#8221; Musk is seen in an old video <a href="https://x.com/teslaownersSV/status/1930683013257634170" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a> claiming the tax credits actually pose a &#8220;competitive disadvantage&#8221; for Tesla in comparison to companies that might sell EVs for a much lower price.
Last week, as Musk was ending his time helping to oversee the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) effort, he started to harshly criticize the legislation — focusing on how it is estimated to inflate the national debt, not the EV credits.
Despite the attack on the bill, Musk appeared with Trump in the Oval Office on Friday, getting a warm send-off after completing his stint as a special government employee. &#8220;Elon&#8217;s really not leaving,&#8221; Trump <a href="https://x.com/DailyMail/status/1928568349606215888" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;He&#8217;s going to be back and forth, I think.&#8221;

American auto giant General Motors is shifting its focus away from electric vehicle motors and back toward torque and horsepower.
GM said on Tuesday that it is scrapping its $300 million EV motor production plan at its Tonawanda engine plant in Buffalo, New York, and will instead invest $888 million in producing the sixth generation of V-8 engines, The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/business/autos/general-motors-to-invest-888-million-in-propulsion-plant-23ea7636?mod=hp_lista_pos5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. V-8 engines are typically used in full-size trucks, SUVs, and high-performance sports cars, such as the Chevrolet Corvette. The Detroit-based auto manufacturer hopes to roll out production of the new engines at the Buffalo plant in 2027.
The automaker is returning to focus on gas-powered engines as demand for EVs falls short of expectations, and state and federal governments ease pressure on requiring EV production. Last week, New York said it would pause penalties for shortfalls in EV production for two years, according to <a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/gm-invest-least-800-million-engine-production-new-york-facility-sources-say-2025-05-27/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reuters</a>. GM said the new generation of V-8 engines will improve performance while reducing emissions. The $888 million investment also includes updating machinery, equipment, tools, and facilities, according to the WSJ. New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul said the investment will support 870 jobs, including protecting nearly 180 jobs believed to be at risk. The state government will also hand out $16.96 million in tax credits to GM in return for the investment in New York.

GM CEO Mary Barra touted the commitment in Buffalo as a way for the company to invest in American manufacturing. On Thursday, the GOP-led Senate voted to overturn a Biden administration move that powered California&#8217;s green energy agenda for cars and trucks that 11 other states have <a href="https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/our-work/programs/advanced-clean-cars-program/states-have-adopted-californias-vehicle-regulations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sought</a> to adopt.
Fifty Republicans and one Democrat <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_votes/vote1191/vote_119_1_00277.htm#position" target="_blank" rel="noopener">banded together</a> to revoke the Clean Air Act waiver the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/12/18/epa-california-electric-vehicles-waiver" target="_blank" rel="noopener">granted</a> in December to the Golden State that allowed it to proceed with a plan to ban the sale of new gas-powered light-duty vehicles by 2035.
Because the Republican-controlled House already <a href="https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2025114?Date=05%2F01%2F2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passed</a> the resolution of disapproval, the measure now heads to President Donald Trump. California has signaled that it is prepared to file a legal challenge.
Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), who is the chairwoman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, spearheaded the effort in the upper chamber to repeal the waiver.
&#8220;The impact of California’s waiver would have been felt across the country, harming multiple sectors of our economy and costing hundreds of thousands of jobs in the process,&#8221; Capito said in a <a href="https://www.capito.senate.gov/news/press-releases/senate-passes-capito-resolution-to-end-californias-ev-mandate" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>. &#8220;I’m proud to have led this effort to protect American workers and consumers from this radical and drastic policy.&#8221;
President Donald Trump weighed in on the issue during his presidential campaign at a rally in Saginaw, Michigan.
“When I&#8217;m president, no state in America will be permitted to ban gas-powered cars or trucks, and I guarantee it,&#8221; Trump said.
Senate Republicans used the Congressional Review Act (CRA), which allows bypassing a filibuster to undo regulations, to pass the resolution. Under this process, Lawmakers also voted to strike down waivers related to emissions for heavier-duty vehicles.
The Government Accountability Office (<a href="https://www.gao.gov/products/b-337179" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GAO</a>) and Senate <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/5233436-senate-parliamentarian-says-lawmakers-cant-overturn-california-car-rules-but-republicans-may-try-anyway/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">parliamentarian</a> advised that the waivers are not rules that qualify for CRA, but The Hill <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/5312952-thune-creates-procedure-ev-mandate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> on how Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) used a series of procedural votes to alleviate concerns by some of his GOP colleagues.
On X, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) accused Republicans of trying to &#8220;appease the fossil fuel industry.&#8221; He also <a href="https://x.com/SenSchumer/status/1925290705502577129" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> they were &#8220;hijacking the CRA process in a way that’s never been done before&#8221; and warned: &#8220;What goes around when you’re in the majority comes around when you’re back in the minority.&#8221;
The one Democrat who joined with Republicans and spurned California was Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI).
&#8220;Today, I voted to prevent California and the states that follow its standard from effectively banning gas-powered cars by 2035,&#8221; she <a href="https://x.com/SenatorSlotkin/status/1925590423944257939" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> in a statement. &#8220;Michigan is the auto capital of the world, and as Michigan&#8217;s U.S. Senator, I have a special responsibility to stand up for the more than one million Michiganders whose livelihoods depend on the U.S. auto industry.&#8221;
California Attorney General Rob Bonta, a Democrat, <a href="https://x.com/AGRobBonta/status/1925624592481026347" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> his state was ready to fight in court.
&#8220;Since the Senate is caving to the Trump Admin’s demands, we will sue to protect California’s longstanding authority to maintain clean vehicle standards,&#8221; Bonta said. &#8220;President Trump may be playing partisan games with lives and good paying jobs on the line — but California won’t back down.&#8221;

This week, the Republican-controlled Senate aims to dismantle the former Biden administration&#8217;s move giving California room to implement a green agenda for cars across the country, Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) announced on Tuesday.
During <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4856qr2PN0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">remarks</a> on the Senate floor, Thune said the upper chamber will take up Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolutions to overturn Clean Air Act preemption waivers the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted to California, which <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/12/18/epa-california-electric-vehicles-waiver" target="_blank" rel="noopener">allowed</a> it to proceed with a plan to ban the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035.
The waivers allowed California &#8220;to dictate emissions standards for the whole country – effectively imposing a nationwide electric vehicle mandate,&#8221; said Thune, who called the state&#8217;s rules an &#8220;improper expansion of a limited Clean Air Act authority and would endanger consumers, our economy, and our nation’s energy supply.&#8221;
A key conflict is whether the CRA, which allows bypassing a filibuster to undo regulations, applies to the waivers. Both the Senate <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/5233436-senate-parliamentarian-says-lawmakers-cant-overturn-california-car-rules-but-republicans-may-try-anyway/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">parliamentarian</a> and Government Accountability Office (<a href="https://www.gao.gov/products/b-337179" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GAO</a>) have assessed the waivers are not rules that qualify.
But the Senate is poised to press forward, as Thune contended the EPA submitted the waivers as rules. He also noted the GOP-led House already <a href="https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2025114?Date=05%2F01%2F2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">voted</a> to pass a Congressional Review Act resolution of disapproval with the support of 35 Democrats, and did so &#8220;without objection from the House parliamentarian.&#8221;
Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), the top Democrat for the Committee on Rules and Administration and a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, declared in a <a href="https://www.padilla.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/padilla-places-holds-on-epa-nominees-until-republicans-cease-efforts-to-abuse-the-cra-to-revoke-californias-clean-air-act-waivers/#:~:text=But%20if%20my%20Republican%20colleagues,the%20CRA%2C%E2%80%9D%20added%20Senator%20Padilla" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> that he was placing a hold on EPA nominees until Republicans back off and warned of future consequences if the GOP refuses to relent.
“None of these actions are rules, which is why they’ve never been submitted to Congress as rules,&#8221; Padilla said. &#8220;But if my Republican colleagues open this door and overturn the Parliamentarian’s wise safeguards on this type of abuse, there would be no practical limit, and the Senate could be forced to vote repeatedly on such matters that are clearly not ‘rules’ notwithstanding the plain language of the CRA.&#8221;
Thune suggested there will soon be repercussions for GAO, which <a href="https://www.gao.gov/about" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bills</a> itself as being an independent and non-partisan agency that &#8220;works for&#8221; Congress, because of the stance it took on the CRA in the California waiver debate.
&#8220;It is true that we are facing something of a novel situation,&#8221; Thune said. &#8220;Because for the first time ever, the Government Accountability Office has decided to insert itself into the process and affirmatively declare that an agency rule submitted to Congress as a rule is not a rule. It’s an extraordinary deviation from precedent for an agency that should be defending Congress’ power instead of constraining it.&#8221;
He added: &#8220;And frankly &#8230; I think we need to act to ensure that this intrusion into the Congressional Review Act process doesn’t become a habit, and that the Senate doesn’t end up transferring its decision-making power on CRA resolutions to the Government Accountability Office. That’s why this week I intend to bring the question of GAO’s unprecedented interference to the floor.&#8221;

One of the hardest things to do, especially when you&#8217;ve got a million other things going on in your life, is to think about the political tactics of people you don&#8217;t agree with. If you&#8217;re a conservative with a full-time job for example, it&#8217;s hard enough to keep track of what Republican politicians are saying, and what policies they&#8217;re implementing. It&#8217;s even harder to track what&#8217;s going on with the other side — especially since, if we&#8217;re being honest, we usually don&#8217;t want to think about it.
But there&#8217;s a significant change in tactics that&#8217;s taken place recently on the Left in this country that, at this point, cannot be ignored. We&#8217;ve known for a while that the Left is now, once again, openly celebrating political violence. That&#8217;s been obvious since the BLM era. What&#8217;s changing, more recently, is that the Left is becoming far more targeted in its attacks. Instead of torching random car lots in Kenosha and shooting security guards in St. Louis to demonstrate their solidarity with George Floyd, Leftists are now becoming more specific, if not necessarily discerning. Like all terrorists, they&#8217;re carefully choosing their victims, to maximize political impact. They tried to assassinate Trump twice, as we all remember. And now that Trump, as president, has the full protection of the Secret Service, they&#8217;re unleashing targeted violent attacks on people they perceive to be supporters of Trump, or enemies of their ideology. That started with the murder of the UnitedHealthCare CEO, but as we predicted, it&#8217;s not stopping there. We&#8217;re entering a potentially long-lasting phase of deliberate, targeted Left-wing terrorism in this country — like the Weather Underground, on steroids.
This is a change that is not happening by accident. In some cases, it&#8217;s coordinated and deliberate — and it&#8217;s very well-funded. But I want to start by highlighting exactly what&#8217;s happening, because for the most part, the national news media isn&#8217;t doing so. All across the country, Kamala Harris voters have made the conscious decision to attack anyone who owns a Tesla, or who works at Tesla. I&#8217;m not talking about one or two people here. I&#8217;m talking about mobs of Democrats who are assaulting other people, in public, because of their perceived political views.

You may have seen the footage of shootings, firebombings and riots that have taken place at Tesla stores all over the country. And I&#8217;ll get to that in a second. But some of the most remarkable footage in this respect comes from New Orleans, this past Mardi Gras weekend. As part of the &#8220;Orpheus&#8221; parade, five Tesla Cybertrucks were carrying passengers through Uptown New Orleans. As the vehicles passed, for several miles, onlookers pelted the trucks with objects they found on the street — everything from beads to road barriers. At one point, a man charged the trucks and began punching the glass, which he ultimately shattered. He also threw an object at one of the passengers, after he gained access to the back of the vehicle. The footage from this convoy of Cybertrucks is truly incredible to watch. It&#8217;s like something out of a foreign country. Here&#8217;s some of it, as recorded by the camera on one of the trucks:

Police were stationed all along the parade route. They saw everything that happened. But they made no arrests. They sat by, doing absolutely nothing, as the mob inflicted thousands of dollars&#8217; worth of property damage, solely because of the politics of the CEO of the company that made those trucks. As you might have seen, at one point in that footage, a mother encouraged her young child to join in with the mob and pummel the truck.

Check out this footage from this parade, this time from the mob&#8217;s perspective. And as you watch, listen to the glee in their voices as they throw objects at people inside the CyberTrucks. And then ask yourself: When was the last time a mob of Right-wing protesters decided to team up and attack someone, solely because that person had purchased a product they don&#8217;t like? Has it ever happened in the entire history of this country? As critical as we were about Bud Light, did any mob of conservatives ever chase someone down and pummel them for ordering a Bud Light at a bar? I don’t think so. But that’s basically what happened in New Orleans just a few days ago. Watch:

This footage is not the most extreme example of violence I could find, but it does illustrates how widespread this mob-like mentality has become on the Left. It&#8217;s not just a handful of Left-wing NGO&#8217;s who are pushing this (although that&#8217;s certainly happening, too). In reality, we&#8217;re talking about hundreds, if not thousands of people who are willing to make an American city feel like Fallujah for people who happen to be inside a truck they don&#8217;t like. And of course, this footage received thousands of positive &#8220;upvotes&#8221; on Reddit, which has become a central breeding ground for organizing and promoting Left-wing terrorism.
You&#8217;ll also find a lot of support on Reddit for the 41-year-old man who allegedly just threw Molotov cocktails at a Tesla location in Oregon, before returning shortly afterwards to open fire on the business with an assault rifle. Watch:

Andy Ngo has reported that Adam Lansky, the man accused of committing these attacks, is a Portland trans activist who uses the alias &#8220;Allison Tesla&#8221; in his activism (and his pornography career). Meanwhile, another trans activist — Justin Thomas Nelson aka &#8220;Lucy Grace Nelson&#8221; — is accused of repeatedly attacking another Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado. Justin Nelson allegedly spray-painted the words “Nazi cars” on some of the vehicles, and then returned days later with Molotov cocktails before he was arrested. So he was booked, then let out on bond, then attacked the same Tesla location again. Of course, local news reports refer to &#8220;Justin&#8221; as a woman, because even when trans-identifying males are allegedly committing acts of arson, we have to respect their false identities.
Odds are, if you get your news from the mainstream press, you weren&#8217;t aware of any of this. You didn&#8217;t know that two trans-identifying Antifa activists are accused of attempting to firebomb Tesla dealerships in just the past month. And for that matter, you certainly weren&#8217;t aware that a trans-identifying suspect named Ryan Michael English — otherwise known as &#8220;Riley English — was arrested just a month ago, after arriving in D.C. with Molotov cocktails with the intention of assassinating members of Trump&#8217;s Cabinet. That&#8217;s according to court documents, which state. that Ryan has confessed.
This is an awful lot of violence that&#8217;s coming from a small subset of the population, in a very short period of time. It&#8217;s enough to make you wonder if men who pretend to be women might not be the most mentally stable individuals. And these are just the suspects we know about. Just a day after the FBI identified the suspect in the first attack on the Tesla store in Oregon, there was another shooting at a different Tesla location near Portland. Watch:

These attacks aren&#8217;t just happening on the West Coast, of course. In Massachusetts, someone set fire to several Tesla &#8220;supercharger&#8221; locations, which Tesla owners use to charge their vehicles away from home. They’re like gas stations for electric vehicles. Watch:

Within about 48 hours, Tesla had this location up-and-running again. So they were able to recover quickly from this particular act of vandalism, which every sane person would object to. But if you go on the Boston sub-reddit, you&#8217;ll find that they don&#8217;t object to this arson attack at all. Here&#8217;s one post on the Boston sub-reddit, for example:

As you can see, they&#8217;re sarcastically saying that weather probably caused the blaze, and that it&#8217;s no big deal. Thousands of people are up-voting posts like this. There&#8217;s similar enthusiasm in New York, where protesters were just removed after attempting to shut down a Tesla store there. Those are protests, according to Elon Musk, that involved — at least in part — organizations that have received substantial funding from George Soros&#8217; nonprofit over the years.
But regardless of George Soros&#8217; culpability, there&#8217;s really no other way to interpret what&#8217;s happening here: We are witnessing a campaign of terrorism by the Left, which is openly being celebrated (if not coordinated) by thousands of Leftists using platforms like Reddit. And it&#8217;s leading everyday people to physically assault Tesla owners at every opportunity. This is footage from New York for example:

We don&#8217;t have sound for this one, so in case you can&#8217;t see it, it&#8217;s some guy running alongside a Cybertruck, punching it repeatedly and giving the middle-finger to the occupants. And then at the end of the footage, a police car appears in frame. And of course the officer does nothing.
These kinds of attacks are becoming so common now that it&#8217;s impossible to keep up with them.
Late Sunday, the reporter Jonathan Choe uploaded this footage of Cybertrucks on fire in Seattle, in yet another suspected arson attack:

No matter how hard you look, you will not find a single Democrat Party politician who is willing to condemn any of this violence. The &#8220;party of Democracy&#8221; is completely silent as Left-wing terrorists commit acts of political violence, all over the country, for the express purpose of intimidating Elon Musk and anyone who dared to vote for Donald Trump. And we all know why that is. They endorse all of it. The Democrat Party, and the media outlets they effectively control, have no problem with destroying the property of anyone they believe is a conservative. They also don&#8217;t mind destroying Tesla — one of the most important companies in the United States, which employs more than a hundred thousand people — in the process.
These are people who are not interested in progress, or the advancement of human civilization. They are the enemies of both. And, as if to prove that point, MSNBC anchors recently celebrated the explosion of SpaceX&#8217;s starship during a recent test launch. This is a test launch that, in case you missed it, included the &#8220;catch&#8221; of the booster rocket, which is one of the most remarkable technological achievements imaginable. But over at MSNBC, they didn&#8217;t even mention the booster catch. Instead, they burst out into song because the starship itself had exploded. Watch:

We&#8217;ve done a lot of segments recently about how utterly dumb and inane Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is. But really, all we had to do is play that clip. &#8220;If only Musk had more DEI hires, maybe Starship wouldn&#8217;t have exploded.&#8221; That&#8217;s the logic they&#8217;re going with at MSNBC. That is how utterly shameless these people are. Because as we all know, when you need to achieve something that&#8217;s never been achieved before in human history, you call in the DEI hires. After all, DEI hires are how NASA landed on the moon.
Of course, none of these people — even Jasmine Crockett — believe any of this. For all their demonization of billionaires and corporations, the truth is that the Left has this intense hatred for Elon because they see him as a class traitor. They know that the wealthy are supposed to be on their side. Elon is not only an Uber-wealthy man, but also a man of great scientific achievement, and he should be a devotee to their cause. That&#8217;s why they reserve for him the special kind of hatred that you have not for enemies, but for traitors.
Just think for a moment about the absurdity of the clip you just saw. The man is building reusable rockets, for the purpose of making space travel affordable enough that we can colonize Mars in the near future. The whole point of these test launches is to gather data so that the next launch — in just a few weeks — can be a success. That&#8217;s why no one was or is onboard the Starship. It&#8217;s a test flight. And these test flights clearly work, as anyone familiar with SpaceX&#8217;s history — and its progress in just the past decade — understands very well.
But increasingly few people on the Left actually care about SpaceX, or Tesla, or Elon Musk, or any of that. Instead, they care about political control, which they&#8217;re obviously losing. So, in some cases, they&#8217;re resorting to terrorism instead. And on television, they&#8217;re turning to juvenile, barely-literate criticism of a space program they can&#8217;t begin to comprehend. It&#8217;s difficult not to be reminded of Roosevelt&#8217;s famous speech on insufferable people like this, from all the way back in 1910. &#8220;It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.” I won’t recite the whole thing for you. But if you don’t know it, google it. There is no better way to describe cable news hosts who laugh while a man builds rockets to Mars.
Shut out of political relevance, Leftists are turning to violence and terrorism. They will only intensify their efforts in the coming weeks. But with every arson attack, and every insufferable segment on MSNBC, they&#8217;re only highlighting two things. First of all, they are irrelevant. And secondly, the men in the arena — the people who are actually committed to moving this country forward — aren&#8217;t going anywhere.

The new <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/cars">Jaguar</a> concept car has been revealed, and just like the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/woke">woke</a> advertising that preceded its debut, the electric vehicle is being mercilessly mocked online.
The Type 00 two-door coupe has an extra long hood and a low roof with no rear window. Jaguar chief creative officer Gerry McGovern <a href="https://www.engadget.com/transportation/evs/jaguar-unveils-polarizing-concept-ev-as-part-of-its-rebrand-133026168.html#:~:text=All%20of%20this%20is%20part,officer%20at%20Miami%20Art%20Week.">said</a> of the vehicle, “When Jaguar was at its best, it threw away the design rulebook and created E-Type and the XJS; objects of desire.” 
Futuristic design elements aside, the detail about the Type 00 that’s getting the most attention is the car’s colors: Satin Rhodon Rose, dubbed ‘Miami Pink,’ and Inception Silver Blue.
Podcaster Jay Anderson addressed the redesign on X, <a href="https://x.com/TheProjectUnity/status/1863576689764147470">writing</a>, &#8220;Go woke&#8230;You all know the rest.&#8221;

The Jaguar brand redesign had already been <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/woke-is-dead-jaguar-gets-mocked-for-colorful-car-free-brand-re-launch">making headlines</a> as of last month after it premiered a bizarre ad with no cars in it. The colorful commercial included people dressed in vibrant, outlandish outfits, making gestures such as grabbing sledgehammers, painting over the camera lens, and striking poses.
It also featured disjointed phrases such as “create exuberant,” “live vivid,” “delete ordinary,” “break molds,” and “copy nothing” on the screen.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the ad by asking, “Do you sell cars?”
The car brand’s chief creative officer Gerry McGovern is quoted as saying, “Jaguar has its roots in originality. Sir William Lyons, our founder, believed that ‘a Jaguar should be a copy of nothing.’ Our vision for Jaguar today is informed by this philosophy. New Jaguar is a brand built around Exuberant Modernism.”
He continued, “It is imaginative, bold and artistic at every touchpoint. It is unique and fearless. We are creating Jaguar for the future, restoring its status as a brand that enriches the lives of our clients and the Jaguar community.”

Two years later, the program has yet to install a single charger.”

Nearly half of all Americans who have purchased an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/electric-cars" target="_blank" rel="noopener">electric vehicle</a> regret the decision and are planning to go back to driving a gas-powered vehicle when they make their next purchase.
The report from the consulting firm McKinsey &amp; Co. found that a staggering 46% of Americans who purchased an electric vehicle regret the decision and plan on making their next purchase an internal combustion engine.
The findings from the report counter narratives parroted by the Biden administration, Democrats, and the electric vehicle industry that EVs are the future and that buyers never regret their decision.
&#8220;I didn&#8217;t expect that,&#8221; said Philipp Kampshoff, leader of the consulting firm&#8217;s Center for Future Mobility. &#8220;I thought, &#8216;Once an EV buyer, always an EV buyer.'&#8221;
Kampshoff said that the findings were a serious &#8220;warning sign of the direction of travel&#8221; and that there was &#8220;a real stalling we’re seeing in the U.S. that we’re not seeing in other geographies.&#8221;
Globally, a third of the nearly 40,000 people surveyed said that they regretted their decision and planned to turn back to driving internal combustion engines.

Fisker announced this week that it has filed for bankruptcy as the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/electric-cars" target="_blank" rel="noopener">electric vehicle</a> market continues to collapse amid low demand for the costly vehicles and various other concerns about electric cars.
The company has struggled for a long time and had to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ev-startup-fisker-halts-production-to-raise-emergency-funds-amid-cash-crunch-from-low-demand" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stop production</a> of its vehicles earlier this year to raise hundreds of millions of dollars that it needed to stay alive. The company later <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/01/business/ev-maker-fisker-says-it-may-go-out-of-business/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that it had “substantial doubt about Fisker’s ability to” stay in business.
Fisker said in a statement on Tuesday that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is already in &#8220;advanced discussions with financial stakeholders regarding debtor-in-possession financing and the sale of its assets.&#8221;
A spokesperson for the company claimed: &#8220;Fisker has made incredible progress since our founding, bringing the Ocean SUV to market twice as fast as expected in the auto industry and making good on our promises to deliver the most sustainable vehicle in the world.&#8221;
&#8220;We are proud of our achievements, and we have put thousands of Fisker Ocean SUVs in customers’ hands in both North American and Europe,&#8221; the spokesperson added. &#8220;But like other companies in the electric vehicle industry, we have faced various market and macroeconomic headwinds that have impacted our ability to operate efficiently. After evaluating all options for our business, we determined that proceeding with a sale of our assets under Chapter 11 is the most viable path forward for the company.&#8221;
The company’s struggles comes despite the Biden administration&#8217;s efforts to destroy the gas-powered car industry by implementing the most extreme pollution restrictions in history on automakers.
