Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> will head to Vice President Kamala Harris’s home state of California this weekend to rally supporters in the deep blue state with less than a month to go in the presidential race. 
The event will be held on Saturday at the Calhoun Ranch at 5:00 p.m. local time in Coachella, according to Trump&#8217;s campaign. Coachella is in Southern California&#8217;s Coachella Valley, widely known for its annual music and art festival. The announcement indicated that Trump’s remarks will focus on inflation, the cost of living, and the records of Harris, her vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, and California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom. 
“Under Kamala Harris and her dangerous Democrat allies like Tim Walz, the notorious ‘California Dream’ has turned into a nightmare for everyday Americans. Since Harris and Biden took office, prices have skyrocketed by nearly 20 percent, leaving Californians grappling with crushing costs,” the campaign said. “Families are struggling to stay afloat, with the average California household losing more than $33,232 since January 2021. Californians are suffocating under rising prices for everything from groceries to housing, thanks to Kamalanomics.”
The announcement also pointed to surging home prices in California, including in cities like San Diego, where the median home price is more than $1 million, and gas prices reached record highs in 2022. 
“This is the future Harris and Walz want for the rest of America — crippling inflation, unaffordable housing, and sky-high gas prices,” the campaign said. “If this is the California Dream, it’s every American&#8217;s worst nightmare. President Trump is the only candidate who can reverse the damage done by Comrade Kamala, and it&#8217;s why Americans will elect him the 47th President of the United States this November.”
Steven Hernandez, the mayor of Coachella, <a href="https://www.kcra.com/article/trump-campaign-rally-coachella-california/62535916" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responded</a> to the news of the rally by criticizing Trump. 
&#8220;The City of Coachella was proud to welcome Senator Bernie Sanders during the 2020 primary election, but news of former President Trump’s upcoming visit has been met very differently,&#8221; Hernandez wrote on Facebook. &#8220;Trump’s attacks on immigrants, women, the LQBTQ community and the most vulnerable among us don’t align with the values of our community. He has consistently expressed disdain for the type of diversity that helps define Coachella. We don’t know why Trump is visiting near Coachella, but we know he wasn’t invited by the people who live here. He ain’t like us.&#8221;

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, a conservative, will assist the Secret Service in providing security for the event. He <a href="https://kesq.com/news/2024/10/07/donald-trump-to-host-a-rally-in-coachella-on-saturday-oct-12/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that Hernandez&#8217;s statement was divisive. 
&#8220;Mr. Hernandez, better take a look around, because he obviously was invited by the people that live there and work there, and maybe he&#8217;s going to be in line for an awakening in the future, because this constant divide and this constant rhetoric that we have going on is not good for the country,&#8221; said Bianco, who endorsed Trump earlier this year. Bianco is <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-06-08/riverside-county-sheriff-chad-bianco-is-mulling-a-run-for-governor-in-2026">reportedly</a> considering a run for governor in 2026.
While California is a Democratic stronghold, several key House races in the state could determine control of the chamber.

Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that Iran was the country that she considers to be the greatest U.S. adversary, despite its weak economy and military.
Harris made the remarks during a CBS News &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; interview that aired Monday night when asked what country was America&#8217;s greatest enemy.
The bizarre answer comes after the Biden-Harris administration relaxed sanctions enforcement against the Islamic regime, allowing it to earn tens of billions of dollars in oil revenues that it has used to fund terrorism throughout the region.
&#8220;Iran has American blood on their hands,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And what we saw in terms of just this attack on Israel, 200 ballistic missiles, what we need to do to ensure that Iran never achieves the ability to be a nuclear power, that is one of my highest priorities.&#8221;
She refused to answer if she would take military action to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Most national security experts and U.S. officials also do not agree with the assessment that Iran is the greatest adversary the U.S. faces. China, Russia, and even North Korea are most often cited as greater threats.
Even Pakistan, which is not a U.S. adversary, has been cited by U.S. officials as being the country they worry about the most because of the country&#8217;s nuclear stockpile, political and social instability, and its Islamist government.

Her answer about Iran being the greatest adversary that America faces also complicated her answer about the assassination attempts that former President Donald Trump has faced.
Harris stated that resorting to violence to settle political differences was not acceptable and that she was disturbed by the attempts on Trump&#8217;s life.
However, she failed to call out Iran for its plot to kill the former president, which is ongoing, after federal law enforcement disrupted a plot over the summer and warned that Iran is not stopping.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) called out the Biden-Harris administration during an interview over the weekend for failing to call out Iran directly over its attempts to assassinate Trump.
“You have had no statements from the administration towards Iran as to what that would be, which would be an act of war,” he said. “And you don’t have any statements from Vice President Harris condemning this or even recognizing that there’s an active plot from a foreign nation to kill her opponent.”
“I do think that Vice President Harris needs to actively state and acknowledge that her administration is saying a foreign power, which would be an act of war is actively trying to kill her opponent,” he continued.
Turner added that the Biden-Harris administration “has made stronger statements about Iran’s hacking activities than they have about the active plot to kill Donald Trump, which the administration acknowledged is ongoing.”
“There has to be an acknowledgment, which has not happened from Vice President Harris, that there’s active plots from a foreign nation to kill her opponent,” he added.

Vice President Kamala Harris dodged questions during an interview that aired this week when confronted over her complete reversal on nearly every major policy position she held during her failed presidential bid just a few years ago.
Harris dodged the questions — and claimed that she legitimately was elected as the Democratic Party&#8217;s presidential nominee, despite not having earned a single vote from primary voters — during a CBS News &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; interview that aired Monday night.
&#8220;I take it seriously that I have to earn everyone&#8217;s vote,&#8221; she said. &#8220;This is an election for president of the United States.&#8221;
&#8220;No one should be able to take for granted that they can just declare themselves a candidate and automatically receive support,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;You have to earn it. And that&#8217;s what I intend to do.&#8221;
Host Bill Whitaker then confronted her over just a few of the numerous positions that she flipped on.
&#8220;You have changed your position on so many things,&#8221; he said. &#8220;You were against fracking, now you&#8217;re for it. You supported looser immigration policies, now you&#8217;re tightening them up. You were for Medicare for all, now you&#8217;re not. So many that people don&#8217;t truly know what you believe or what you stand for.&#8221;

During a different portion of the interview, she suggested that her election as the party&#8217;s nominee was a legitimate process after President Joe Biden was forced out by the Democratic Party in mid-July following a disastrous debate against former President Donald Trump in late June.

Vice President Kamala Harris struggled to answer questions about her disastrous border record during an interview that aired Monday night.
The questions came during a special election episode of CBS News&#8217; &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; in which Harris faced questions about her record securing the southern border, a role that President Joe Biden assigned to her during the early days of the administration.
Host Bill Whitaker noted that Harris has recently flipped on her stances on illegal immigration after showing strong support for illegal border crossings in the past.
&#8220;If that&#8217;s the right answer now, why didn&#8217;t your administration take those steps in 2021?&#8221; Whitaker asked.
Harris blamed Congress for the border crisis that unfolded under the Biden-Harris administration, even though former President Donald Trump secured the border without congressional help.
&#8220;But there was an historic flood of undocumented immigrants coming across the border the first three years of your administration,&#8221; Whitaker said. &#8220;As a matter of fact, arrivals quadrupled from the last year of President Trump.&#8221;

Harris responded: &#8220;It&#8217;s a longstanding problem. And solutions are at hand. And from day one, literally, we have been offering solutions.&#8221;
&#8220;What I was asking was, was it a mistake to kind of allow that flood to happen in the first place?&#8221; Whitaker pressed.
Harris again refused to answer the question and claimed that she proposed policies that fix the problem, even though they did not and many experts warned that the border bill she supported would actually make the border crisis worse.

Vice President Kamala Harris refused to call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an ally in an interview set to air on Monday, the anniversary of Hamas&#8217; October 7 massacre inside Israel.
Harris sat down for an interview with CBS News&#8217; &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; and discussed the course of the war in the Middle East over the last year.
Correspondent Bill Whitaker asked Harris if the Biden-Harris administration held &#8220;no sway&#8221; over Netanyahu as the Israeli leader has repeatedly bucked the administration&#8217;s pleas for him to go soft on Islamic terrorist groups throughout the region that attack the state of Israel.
&#8220;The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the Israelis and the people of Israel,&#8221; she said.
She said that the administration supported Israel in defending itself against terror attacks from Iran and its Islamic proxy groups throughout the region.
&#8220;The work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles, which include the need for humanitarian aid, the need for this war to end, the need for a deal to be done which would release the hostages and create a ceasefire,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And we&#8217;re not going to stop in terms of putting that pressure on Israel and in the region, including Arab leaders.&#8221;
&#8220;The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,&#8221; she claimed.
When asked point blank if the U.S. had a &#8220;close ally&#8221; in Netanyahu, Harris refused to call him an ally.
&#8220;I think, with all due respect, the better question is, do we have an important alliance between the American people and the Israeli people?&#8221; she said. &#8220;And the answer to that question is yes.&#8221;

Vice President Kamala Harris struggled in a friendly interview that airs this week to competently answer questions surrounding her economic agenda.
Harris sat down for an interview with CBS News&#8217; &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; that was taped last week and is set to air on Monday night as part of a special election episode.
&#8220;My plan is about saying that when you invest in small businesses, you invest in the middle class, and you strengthen America&#8217;s economy,&#8221; Harris told correspondent Bill Whitaker. &#8220;Small businesses are part of the backbone of America&#8217;s economy.&#8221;
&#8220;But pardon me, Madam Vice President, the question was, how are you going to pay for it?&#8221; Whitaker responded.

The rally was a historic moment for the United States, a former president returning to the very site where three months prior, he was shot in the head by a would-be assassin.
Trump introduced Musk, who has turned into his most powerful political ally, by highlighting his recent contributions to recovery efforts in the southeast U.S. where millions are reeling after Hurricane Helene devastated the region.
Trump called Musk a &#8220;truly incredible guy&#8221; who would have a key role in helping return America to greatness.
Trump has stated in recent weeks that he will appoint Musk to head a new Government Efficiency Commission that will focus on cutting wasteful government spending as the country looks to avoid going bankrupt after being saddled with tens of trillions of dollars of debt.

&#8220;As you can see, I&#8217;m not just MAGA, I&#8217;m dark MAGA,&#8221; Musk said as he sported a black &#8220;Make America Great Again&#8221; hat.
&#8220;The true test of someone&#8217;s character is how they behave under fire,&#8221; Musk said. &#8220;And we had one president who couldn&#8217;t climb a flight of stairs, and another who was fist pumping after getting shot.&#8221;
&#8220;Who do you want representing America?&#8221; he asked.
&#8220;I think this election, I think it&#8217;s [the] most important election of our lifetime,&#8221; Musk continued. &#8220;This is no ordinary election.&#8221;
Musk then rattled off a number of ways that Democrats have stated they want to clamp down on American&#8217;s freedoms.
&#8220;The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech,&#8221; he said. &#8220;They want to take away your right to bear arms. That want to take away your right to vote effectively. We&#8217;ve got 14 states now that don&#8217;t require voter ID.&#8221;
&#8220;So how&#8217;re you supposed to have a good, proper election if there&#8217;s no ID? It&#8217;s meaningless,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;And free speech is the bedrock of democracy, and if people don&#8217;t know what&#8217;s going on, if they don&#8217;t know the truth, how can you make an informed vote? You must have free speech in order to have democracy. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s the First Amendment, and the Second Amendment is there to ensure that we have the First Amendment.&#8221;
Musk said that Trump must win the election &#8220;to preserve the Constitution&#8221; and to protect democracy in America.
The tech titan has warned repeatedly in recent weeks that Democrats are trying to rig elections in the U.S. by importing millions of illegal aliens that they are seeking to make citizens so they can vote.
Musk then pressed the crowd for a couple of minutes on the importance of registering to vote and doing it immediately, as the deadline to register is closing in swing states in the next couple of days.

Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> began his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday introducing the same chart that was displayed when an assassin abruptly ended Trump’s last Butler rally nearly three months ago.
Trump returned to Butler after being shot in the ear by an assassin at a July 13 rally. The assassination attempt on the former president failed, but resulted in the death of one rally goer, Corey Comperatore. Several others were wounded.
At the July 13 rally, Trump had been explaining a chart contrasting the Biden administration’s record on illegal immigration to his when he was shot in the ear. Trump began his second Butler rally where he left off.
“A very big thank you to Pennsylvania, we love Pennsylvania. And as I was saying,” Trump <a href="https://x.com/trumpwarroom/status/1842687307352060254">began</a>. The audience roared in approval as Trump gestured to a giant chart next to the stage.
“I love that chart, I love that graph,” Trump said.

The chart shows the unprecedented surge in illegal immigration that took place after President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris won the election in 2020. The surge has persisted for years.
Trump had been speaking about the chart on July 13 when an assassin began to fire at him from a nearby rooftop. Trump had just turned his head to look at the chart off to the side of the stage when a bullet whizzed past his head, nicking his ear.

The rally ended with Secret Service rushing the former president off the stage. While leaving, Trump put his fist in the air and yelled, “fight, fight, fight,” to encourage and embolden the audience, many of whom waited without panicking despite the chaos inspired by the assassin’s gun.
Trump was taken to a nearby hospital to treat his wounded ear.
The Butler rally brought tough questions on the U.S. Secret Service because of its security failure and breakdown in its duty to keep Trump safe. Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle announced her resignation from the agency 10 days after the rally amid mounting pressure from a bipartisan group of lawmakers.
The assassin, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was able to outmaneuver Secret Service agents and local law enforcement to perch on the roof of a building about 400 feet from Trump’s stage. He was able to get multiple shots off before being killed by a Secret Service counter-sniper.

Biden unexpectedly took to the podium at the White House press briefing on Friday at the exact time that Harris took the stage for her rally in Detroit, Michigan.
CNN even noted that it was planning to switch coverage to Harris&#8217; rally right when Biden walked into the press briefing in a move that was “clearly overshadowing” Harris, the network said.
During the press briefing, Biden also destroyed any notion that Harris has not been on board with all the decisions that he has made as president — a remark that could damage her politically as she looks to distance herself from his disastrous record.
“I’m in constant contact with her,” Biden said. “We’re singing from the same song sheet. She helped pass all the laws that are being employed now.”
“She was a major player in everything we’ve done, including passage of legislation, which we were told we could never pass,” he continued, adding that her staff and his staff are &#8220;interlocked&#8221; on everything.

CNN senior political analyst Scott Jennings responded to Biden&#8217;s remarks: &#8220;He is literally trying to destroy her campaign and it’s just incredible.&#8221;
&#8220;This is 100% accurate,&#8221; Donald Trump Jr. said when reacting to the clip. &#8220;When Kamala finally put up her policy page most of it was cut and pasted from Joe Biden’s page.&#8221;
&#8220;She didn’t even bother to change the source code,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;Kamala Harris owns this disaster of an administration just as much as Joe Biden does.&#8221;
Numerous users joked that Biden&#8217;s remarks were a Trump campaign ad and should end with hearing Trump saying, &#8220;I am Donald Trump and I approve this message.&#8221;
&#8220;The next time some reply guy insists that Kamala Harris has no power and influence and therefore is responsible for none of the administration&#8217;s failures, just play this clip for them,&#8221; said Red State writer Bonchie.
&#8220;Biden’s done more pressers than Kamala since she stole the nomination from him,&#8221; said Republican communications strategist John Cooper.
Others surmised that there was a real chance that Biden wanted Harris to lose after the party forced him to drop out of the presidential race following his disastrous debate performance in late June.

Massive crowds of thousands of people began arriving early Saturday morning to the rally site in Butler, Pennsylvania, where former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> is returning to hold a rally at the exact location where he survived an assassination attempt in July.
The 5 p.m. EST event at the Butler Farm Show marks the first time that Trump has returned to the location where he was shot by a 20-year-old would-be assassin on July 13 in what was a historic failure by the Secret Service.
The assailant was able to climb a rooftop barely over a hundred yards away from where Trump was speaking on stage and opened fire on with a clear line of site. One of the bullets pierced Trump&#8217;s ear, coming within fractions of an inch of ending his life.
Bright and early Saturday morning, thousands of people were already in line for the rally, according to various videos posted to social media.

During the attempt on Trump&#8217;s life, a few people in the crowd were shot as they caught stray bullets that the shooter fired at the former president.
Corey Comperatore, 50, was killed during the shooting as he shielded his family.
Two others who were shot, 57-year-old David Dutch and 74-year-old James Copenhaver, were both hospitalized with injuries, but have since been released.
While no official numbers have yet been released about the number of people who have gathered at the rally site, videos appear to show crowd sizes that have likely grown into the tens of thousands.

President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> appears to have intentionally stolen the show from Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday as Harris, who took the Democrat Party nomination from Biden after the party forced him to quit the 2024 presidential race, took the stage for a rally.
CNN reported live on air that they were preparing to switch their coverage to Harris&#8217; rally in Michigan right when Biden decided to walk out, unscheduled, and take over the White House press briefing.
The network said that Biden was &#8220;clearly overshadowing&#8221; Harris.
The Trump campaign said that Harris took the stage in Detroit at 2:04 p.m. EST and that Biden entered the briefing room two minutes later at 2:06 p.m. EST.

The incident comes as reports have surfaced stating that Biden is surprised, even miffed, that his party and its media organs have moved past his presidency to focus on Harris.
