Actor Frankie Muniz earlier this month posted a video of himself dancing with his soon-to-be-ex-wife to announce his divorce. Everyone understandably found this odd, so he deleted it.
For a few hours, though, it was up: The &#8220;Malcolm in the Middle&#8221; star turned race car driver, mid-divorce, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/malcolm-in-the-middle-stars-celebratory-divorce-post-sparks-debate-with-michael-knowles?author=Amanda+Harding&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=%E2%80%98Malcolm+In+The+Middle%E2%80%99+Star%E2%80%99s+Celebratory+Divorce+Post+Sparks+Debate+With+Michael+Knowles">dancing joyfully</a> to &#8220;Check Yes, Juliet&#8221; with his former bride. The worst part was their young son dancing right along with them like nothing was wrong. 
Muniz seemed to think fans would find it sweet, but thankfully common sense put him back in his place. Commenters called the spectacle sad and strange, especially with a small child unknowingly celebrating the demise of his stable home life. Muniz quickly pulled the clip down under an avalanche of backlash.
His almost-ex, Paige Price, was mad about it. She insisted that two adults who can still function as a team shouldn&#8217;t be mocked for their choices.
“Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you. This world is so f*cked … divorce is bad, sure — it’s not like we’re excited about it … but we’re two adults who know how to be on the same team. I can’t believe people could scrutinize that,” Price wrote under the revised version of their divorce announcement.
Divorce isn&#8217;t something to take lightly, but celebrities have been doing this for years. In 2014, Gwyneth Paltrow ended her 10-year marriage to Chris Martin with a phrase that briefly took over pop culture. They would &#8220;consciously uncouple,&#8221; <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/style/gwyneth-paltrow-10-years-of-conscious-uncoupling">they wrote</a>, and continue co-parenting with the same privacy they&#8217;d tried to maintain as a couple. It was mocked mercilessly at the time, eventually becoming a punchline for how out-of-touch celebrities use therapy speak to prove they’re better than us plebs.
This type of thinking about marriage hasn’t changed in Tinseltown. Now in 2026, celebs are often trying to sell divorce as an amicable rebrand, a decision two enlightened adults make together for the good of everyone. The kids are said to be the focus even when they clearly are not.
There’s another version of this phenomenon that goes even further. Last month, country singer Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) and his wife of a decade, Bunnie XO (real name Alisa Andrea Carter), announced they were divorcing. Weeks later, Bunnie XO told her podcast audience that the split changed nothing about their plan to pursue IVF together. 
They&#8217;d call the baby &#8220;Nugget,&#8221; she said, and raise the child as one big happy family regardless of the marriage&#8217;s end. The former stripper said she and DeFord were “trauma bonded” after going through infertility and didn’t think divorce was a good enough reason not to have a baby together.
She also talked about the fight that ended their marriage. 
“On Mother’s Day, we had a little bit of an argument, which I don’t think the details are necessary,” she said. “And, in that argument, I was so fed up and so tired that I just looked at him and said, ‘Well, then file the f*cking divorce papers.&#8217;”
So he did.
Now the couple is choosing to bring a child into the world despite getting divorced — because that’s what they want to do. At another point Bunnie XO said she couldn’t understand why she experienced infertility, arguing that it wasn’t fair for some people to be able to have children if she could not. 
“You get so mad at God, because you’re like, ‘Why is it so easy for people who don’t deserve children to just be able to just pop them out?&#8217;” she said, clarifying that she and DeFord are “two people who really want a baby together.”
Infertility is brutal, there’s no question. But planning to co-parent a newborn with someone you no longer call your spouse treats marriage and family as two separate life goals when really they were meant to exist together. In the same house, preferably.
That&#8217;s where celebrities get it so very wrong. Paltrow pitched her conscious uncoupling as proof of a new, peaceful version of divorce. Muniz and Price are asking the public to believe a marriage bond can end with an upbeat dance number and smiles. And Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO are going further still, arguing that a lifelong commitment can be severed without affecting children, even children who haven’t exactly joined the family yet.
Every one of these stories is told from the adults&#8217; point of view. Muniz&#8217;s son probably didn’t think much of the dancing video, even if the internet saw it for the tragedy it was. Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO don’t seem concerned about the reality of raising a newborn in a broken home.
There are valid reasons for divorce, but the one thing Hollywood forgot is that even when that’s the case, it’s always a tragedy, not a gentle breaking apart. At the very least, no one should be dancing.

“Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz announced on Wednesday that he and his wife are getting divorced, but that’s not the part fans are reacting to.
Instead, they’re coming down on the TV star for the way he pitched the dissolution of his marriage, especially in light of the fact that the couple shares a 5-year-old child together.
Originally, Muniz posted a video of himself and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Paige Price, dancing joyously to the song &#8220;Check Yes, Juliet.&#8221; Their son, Mauz, is seen dancing along with his parents. Many commenters pointed out that this was a strange way to announce such negative news and let their opinions be known in the comments.

“Muniz deleted the bizarre video of him and his wife dancing to celebrate their divorce. But he reposted the same nauseous text,” Daily Wire podcast host Michael Knowles <a href="https://x.com/michaeljknowles/status/2072443640535003605">wrote</a> in his reaction. “This is the most offensive part of liberal ‘morality.’ It’s not enough that we tolerate their sin and vice. They demand that we celebrate it.”
“Divorce is profoundly evil. Sometimes people do it. There’s more we could do to limit it. But in a fallen world, it will occur. Such is life. But to ask that we celebrate it? It’s simply beyond the pale,” he added.
Muniz <a href="https://x.com/frankiemuniz/status/2072449222591516710">responded</a> to Knowles, arguing that he didn’t “celebrate” his divorce but rather celebrated “the fact that we’re both adults and can handle it like adults moving forward, amicably.”
Muniz deleted the Instagram video shortly after posting it and replaced it with a different version of the announcement. Price weighed in, saying she thought that was the wrong move. 
“Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you. This world is so f*cked … divorce is bad, sure – it’s not like we’re excited about it … but we’re two adults who know how to be on the same team. I can’t believe people could scrutinize that,” Price wrote under the new post.
The “Malcolm in the Middle” star <a href="https://x.com/frankiemuniz/status/2072401072392642977">wrote</a> in the updated announcement on X, “Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage. After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents. We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared.”
The actor went on to say he is “endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she’s done for me and our family.” 
“We’re closing one chapter with gratitude and opening the next with bright futures ahead, for us as individuals and especially for our son,” he wrote before adding the standard disclaimer for fans to respect his family’s privacy at this time. 
Muniz began dating Price in 2016. The pair officially married in 2020 and had Mauz in 2021.

In a shocking turn of events, porn star and podcast host “Lena the Plug” Nersesian and &#8220;No Jumper&#8221; podcast host “Adam22” Grandmaison are reportedly getting divorced, as TMZ <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2026/06/03/lena-the-plug-files-for-divorce-from-adam22/">reported</a>.
Lena filed the divorce documents citing “irreconcilable differences” in L.A. County on Monday, the outlet noted. She is also reportedly petitioning for custody of the couple’s 5-year-old daughter, with Grandmaison being granted “reasonable” visitation rights. They’ve been married since 2023 and reported their date of separation as April 15, 2026.
The couple is well known for having both a podcast and a popular OnlyFans account after launching content on Instagram, YouTube, and Pornhub. They’ve been reviled for years due to depraved behavior, including Grandmaison allowing his wife to sleep with a “bigger” man, Jason Luv, and Lena filming pornographic content while pregnant. 
“Those were my record months for sure,” the porn star said of filming during pregnancy. “I was not gonna stop working!”
The pair was known for over-the-top publicity stunts, too, including picking up a cashier at Target to engage in a threesome. They used such stunts to drum up followers on their OnlyFans.
Despite having many followers on OnlyFans, Nersesian wrote in the divorce filing that she has no job and that her only income is $3,000 per month from Grandmaison, per TMZ. &#8220;I have no access to any financial resources in this marriage or actual financial information, so all amounts entered are estimates,” the documents reportedly say. 
In 2022, Grandmaison bragged that he and Nersesian were making $1 million per month from OnlyFans and more from other business ventures, The Daily Mail <a href="https://www.dailymail.com/tvshowbiz/article-12318167/Who-Lena-Plug-OnlyFans-star-shot-fame-husband-let-sleep-bigger-man-did-porn-pregnant-threesome-Target-cashier-earns-1million-month.html">reported</a>.
Grandmaison reposted the TMZ story to his Instagram story yesterday when the news broke, adding a caption that said, &#8220;All black women who want to date me please DM me I will buy you a car.&#8221; He later shared an Instagram story that said, &#8220;freedom.&#8221;
Nersesian hasn’t posted anything since the news went public, but two days ago, she reflected on aging in an Instagram post shared for her birthday.
“A few years ago, I was terrified of turning 30. I thought getting older meant something was ending. Do people who are really, ridiculously rich deserve our sympathy?
Radical progressives think the answer is no if the murder <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-murder-of-brian-thompson-how-individual-acts-of-evil-get-justified">victim is a healthcare CEO</a>. Certain mainstream journalists believe the same about at least one millionaire socialite who owns keys to a private beach on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. 
In case you haven’t seen it, the latest “author telling lies” controversy revolves around Belle Burden, a New York City heiress who wrote a memoir detailing the breakup of her marriage. 
“Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage” started out as a Modern Love column and eventually was turned into a full-length memoir that went viral. Book clubs and avid readers were drawn by the schadenfreude of a rich, beautiful woman being abandoned by her husband of two decades for reasons that are still frustratingly unclear. 
Yes, he had an affair and got caught. As Burden’s memoir explained, her husband “James” (really hedge fund executive Henry Davis) calmly explained to her in the aftermath of getting caught that rather than trying counseling or finding a path back to trust, he was unhappy with the marriage and wanted out. 
The book was highly praised until it wasn’t. The New Yorker published an exposé at the end of May titled “What’s Missing From Belle Burden’s ‘Strangers,’” laying bare some of the details the author reportedly fudged about her financial situation. 
While Burden expressed alarm at the prospect of losing multiple properties after blindly trusting her husband and adding his name to the deeds without protecting the generational wealth her family had built, the publication noted with disdain that Burden would have remained super rich no matter what. Journalist Jessica Winter accused the socialite of overexaggerating the severity of the situation and, crucially, of not being anywhere near poor enough post-divorce. 
“No reasonable person would demand that she provide a forensic accounting of her finances in the memoir. Yet its impression of candor may suffer in light of what Burden leaves out of the narrative,” Winter <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/books/page-turner/whats-missing-from-belle-burdens-strangers">wrote</a>. She later concluded, “[Burden’s] long-term financial security, as opposed to her emotional security, was never at risk. It might be difficult for anyone in her position to separate one from the other.”
The fine details of Burden’s tax returns aren’t even the point here. What’s very revealing is how quickly the online discourse changed from sympathy for a woman who had her entire life blown up overnight to scorn for someone who didn’t tell the whole truth about how much money she had. “Belle Burden’s Memoir Made Me Feel Poor,” one Substack writer titled her reaction piece. 
It led to questions like, are rich people allowed to be sad? Are they allowed to mourn the loss of their life partners if they still have a lot of money left when that person leaves them? 
Burden said in a statement to the New Yorker: “When I wrote ‘Strangers,’ I shared my heartache, my mistakes, and my shame. I owned my privilege as plainly as I could, and I respected the privacy of sealed court records. I stand by everything I wrote, including the fear I felt from my ex-husband’s threats, the contributions I made and could make to my family, and what happened to me financially and emotionally in my marriage and divorce,” she said to the New Yorker. “While I didn’t intend it, I am glad that women have taken my story as motivation for insisting on financial transparency in their marriages.”
I’ll admit, as someone who does not boast Vanderbilts in my lineage and who has never owned a vacation home, I found it a little jarring when I read “Strangers” earlier this year. But the moments that stuck out to me most had nothing to do with money. Burden shares three children with her ex-husband, and, according to her, he didn’t fight for custody at all. Instead, he allegedly told her, “I thought I was happy but I’m not. I thought I wanted our life, but I don’t. You can have the house and the apartment. You can have custody of the kids.”
According to her book, her husband said, “I don’t want it. I don’t want any of it.”
Rejection of his wife is bad enough. But a man rejecting his children and, according to her, seeming happy enough seeing them infrequently in the coming weeks and months, is an absolute tragedy. I try to imagine being in a similar situation and would almost certainly feel more heartbroken about my husband abandoning our children than I would about him rejecting me. 
Sympathy for any aspect of Burden’s messy divorce is hard to come by after the New Yorker journalist tore her story to shreds. There are multiple think pieces and exposés that essentially say we shouldn’t care anymore because she lied about the finances. Burden was never in danger of ending up homeless, they argue, so we shouldn’t care about her memoir anymore at all.
While the financial fallout of her divorce does feature prominently in the memoir, the more pressing issue Burden focuses on is trying to glean an explanation from her ex. She asks why he left her alone when she expected to grow old with him. Why did he abandon what she believed to be a stable, loving relationship in favor of something else? 
“This was not just an affair. This was not just a rejection of me,” Burden wrote in the book. “He was abandoning all of it, and all of us.”
Anyone who has actually read the book can see this woman’s pain laid bare. Meanwhile, the whole conversation has changed to figuring out how much Burden has in her multiple trusts. As if having millions of dollars makes the sacred covenant of marriage dispensable. 
“I don’t know if he made the decision to leave suddenly after being caught, or if he’d carefully planned his exit for years,” she wrote. “I don’t know what role the pandemic played. I don’t know how much of it was about money. I don’t know how much of it was about me.”
“I don’t know why he left. I don’t think I ever will,” Burden added.
Memoirs in general should be taken with a grain of salt. They are one person’s perspective on a situation and shouldn’t be read as non-fiction. They sit somewhere in between — not totally true, but not untrue. Burden added a disclaimer, saying the book &#8220;recounts events as accurately as I can remember them.&#8221; Memoirs are meant to be entertaining, and they are always deeply personal and emotionally vulnerable. Would it kill us to show a little grace to the person writing them? 
And then there’s the question of whether any journalists would have dug into this woman’s tax returns if she were poor or even middle class. Maybe they would have. But it does seem that any exaggerations or half-truths would have been reported less gleefully if Burden had fewer commas in her bank account.
Somewhere along the way, we&#8217;ve decided that grief only counts if it happens to the right people. A husband can abandon his wife, reject his children, blow up a family, and leave emotional devastation in his wake. But if the woman left behind still has money in the bank, we&#8217;re told not to feel sorry for her.
The question isn&#8217;t whether Belle Burden is rich or if she really lost everything when her husband left. It’s whether we&#8217;re allowed to have sympathy for rich women when they, like the rest of us, often do face tragedy.

Seven years before former Virginia Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax murdered his wife and committed suicide, he faced sexual assault allegations that derailed his rising political career.
Fairfax, who was found dead Thursday morning by police after apparently shooting his wife during a domestic dispute, was once a rising star in Democratic politics before multiple women came forward in 2019 accusing him of sexual assault. Those allegations came to light after then-Governor Ralph Northam weathered his own scandal when old pictures of him in blackface surfaced.
Following Northam&#8217;s blackface scandal, some, including former President Joe Biden, floated the idea that Fairfax could become the next governor of Virginia.
&#8220;There is no place for racism in America. Governor Northam has lost all moral authority and should resign immediately. Justin Fairfax is the leader Virginia needs now,&#8221; Biden said.
Those calls quieted down weeks later after Fairfax was accused by two women of sexual assault dating back to 2000 and 2004.
Vanessa Tyson, the first woman to lodge accusations against Fairfax, said he sexually assaulted her during the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston. In an <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/justin-fairfax-accuser-vanessa-tyson-speaks-out-sexual-assault/">interview</a> with CBS News, she said that he forced himself on her after they started kissing in his hotel room.
&#8220;You know, and he kind of &#8230; gently takes my hands and &#8230; guides me towards the bed &#8230; And we&#8217;re still kissing, right? And it&#8217;s completely consensual,&#8221; she said. &#8220;He guides me to the bed. And then, you know, he sits down on the bed … And what happens from there, you know — we start kissing lying down, but on the very edge of the bed.&#8221;
She then accused him of forcing her head into his crotch and said she couldn’t move her neck.
The second woman, Meredith Watson, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/im-willing-to-testify-in-public-justin-fairfax-should-too/2019/02/18/d2ff73f6-31ec-11e9-813a-0ab2f17e305b_story.html">accused</a> Fairfax of raping her back in 2000 when they were both students at Duke University.
Fairfax denied both allegations and said he was being targeted, but many Democrats abandoned him and called for him to resign.
The FBI later <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-investigating-origins-of-justin-fairfax-sexual-assault-allegations?author=Ashe+Schow&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=FBI+Investigating+Origins+Of+Justin+Fairfax+Sexual+Assault+Allegations">launched</a> a probe into the allegations and looked at whether there was a potential political motive at play. At the time, Fairfax said he was interviewed as part of an investigation into whether there was any benefit offered to his accusers.
During his run for governor in 2021, Fairfax compared himself to lynching victims. He accused Terry McAuliffe, one of his Democratic primary opponents, of treating him like George Floyd.
“Everyone here on the stage called for my immediate resignation, including Terry McAuliffe three minutes after a press release came out,” Fairfax said. “He treated me like George Floyd; he treated me like Emmett Till — no due process, immediately assumed my guilt. I have a son and a daughter. I don’t ever want my daughter to be assaulted, I don’t want my son to be falsely accused. And yet this is the real world that we live in.”
His claims did not garner much sympathy from Democrats, and he failed to break 5% in the Democratic primary election. After his failed gubernatorial bid, he left politics to enter the private sector.
Police suggested Thursday that Fairfax shot his wife because the couple was going through a messy divorce. They said that Fairfax was recently served papers related to the ongoing split.
“While he served as lieutenant governor, and even afterwards, was a rising star politically, not just in northern Virginia, but in Virginia, so it&#8217;s high-profile in nature,” Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said Thursday. “It&#8217;s tragic in nature, certainly a fall from grace for a relatively high-profile family that seemingly had a lot of things going in their favor.”

They say it’s for health reasons. Maybe in some cases it is, but for a lot of people, they just want to look better.
Well, as it turns out, there is a real downside to the practice, namely, people are now getting divorced because of them.

Now, what’s an “unhealthy relationship”? Generally, that just means a relationship I no longer enjoy being in. Does that mean one of the spouses is beating you? Or does it just mean you’re sick of your husband or wife? It can mean any of those things.

This brings me back to a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8qj9RNA938">conversation I had</a> with that “looksmaxx” guy, Clavicular, before everything went south, before he was arrested, before all that.

I asked him: What are you after? What do you want?
He said: I just want to look as good as I possibly can. I want to “looksmaxx.”
I said: Okay, that’s interesting.
I found him very thoughtful for a 19-year-old. He was going down a bad path, but he thought about things. And I asked him a question he couldn’t really answer — but also kind of did.
I asked: What is looking good for? What’s the goal?
And he didn’t have an answer. The answer he gave was: “I just want to mog.”
And what is “mog”? Entire dictionaries could be written on that word. Basically, it means to dominate, to be better than others, to outshine them.
But I always thought, if you’re a guy, you want to look good to get a girl. Or, if you’re an actor, you want to look good in order to get a part in a movie. Or to get a job, or win votes, or something. But mostly, men want to look good to get a girl. Same for women, to attract a guy.
But he said no, it’s looksmaxxing for its own sake. Even if it has negative effects.

Well, that defeats the purpose, right? If the point is to look good to get married and have a family, you just undermined that.

And that’s how I feel about the fat jabs. Why are people getting them? What’s it for?
They’ll say it’s for health — but there are downsides too. So, I don’t know — talk to your doctor.
If you’re single, I kind of get it. It’s tough out there. But if you’re already married, isn’t there something kind of fitting about getting a little plump? You’re not on the market anymore. You want to look good for your spouse, but you’re no longer competing at the clubs every night.
And if you make an idol out of your looks, that might actually undermine your marriage.
Our Lord says, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?”
What does it profit someone to lose all that weight but lose their marriage?
What does it profit a man to looksmaxx but lose his family, his legacy?
What’s it for? You’ve got to ask that question about anything in life.
Back before modern philosophy scrambled everyone’s brains — back to Aristotle — we understood that to know what something is, you have to know what it is for.
So what’s the fat jab for?
Put it down and ask that.
What does it profit a man to mog the whole world but lose his, maybe slightly chubby, wife?
Not a good trade.

Conservatives are used to being called names: racist, sexist, transphobic, and the list goes on. Typically, these charges are rooted in policy differences: If you oppose DEI and racial quotas, the Left will call you racist. If you oppose men competing in women’s sports, you’re a transphobe. These labels are weapons used to advance political narratives, and typically deserve the same attention as an unhinged, all-caps comment in your X feed. They should be ignored.
Yet when it comes to sexism, conservatives should consider how their messaging makes the sexist charge stick with women who otherwise might join our movement. Conservative leaders aren’t misogynists, but particularly when speaking to and about women, they are sometimes tone deaf.
Take the issue of marriage and family life. For good reason, conservatives frequently trumpet evidence showing the benefits of marriage and family formation. Children raised by married parents enjoy a long list of benefits. Married women and men are less likely to live in poverty, have better health outcomes, and report higher levels of happiness and life satisfaction than their single counterparts. This is important information for the public to have.
Yet efforts to raise awareness about the benefits of marriage and family formation frequently come across as denigrating childless or unmarried women. Conservatives may think they are countering nihilistic TikTok influencers and gender studies professors who seem driven to convince impressionable young women that marriage and children are the enemies of good mental health, while an OnlyFans career offers true fulfillment. Yet the persuadable women most likely to hear conservatives’ counter messages are women who already recognize the benefits of marriage and children, but who find themselves outside those institutions nonetheless.
Today, nearly 20% of women over age 45 are childless. According to a <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2024/07/25/the-experiences-of-u-s-adults-who-dont-have-children/">Pew survey</a> of childless adults, nearly 40% admit that they once wanted children. That’s almost certainly an understatement since many childless adults likely don’t want to admit, even to themselves, that they regret missing this irreplaceable part of the human experience.
Additionally, about one-quarter of children are being raised by a single parent. Those single parents don’t need to be told how much easier it would be to have another adult helping to give their kids all the love and support they need. They live it every day.
Touting the benefits of a happy family life can seem not so much instructive as rubbing it in. Done wrong, this messaging risks not only alienating childless and unmarried women, but all of those who love them. When women hear that messaging, they don’t solely think about how it impacts them, but also the people they love and worry about the most: their dear best friend who hasn’t found a husband; their beloved, recently divorced sister juggling kids’ schedules and costs. Married women with children will reject those who they see as dunking on their loved ones.
Conservative leaders should also keep this in mind when addressing work-life issues. Of course, parents should know how vulnerable children are in those first months and years of life, and why investing time in them is so beneficial. Yet, when done wrong, those messages can sound like attacks on working women — many of whom would love to downshift their careers but feel like they can’t afford to do so.
It is certainly true that facts don&#8217;t care about your feelings. Political leaders must make policy decisions grounded in clear-eyed reality. Yet it is also true that feelings are often unmoved by facts. That is why, when communicating about sensitive and deeply personal issues, policy leaders must be careful in how they communicate those realities, because poorly chosen words can do far more damage than good.
Republicans do not want to be seen as a party that only values married mothers or only women as mothers. The party also welcomes single women, widows, lesbians, and divorcees — any woman — so long as she shares the core conservative beliefs that personal responsibility, limited government, and free markets are the foundation of a flourishing country.
Republicans should be succeeding in winning women over. Democrats have spent recent years denigrating the very concept of womanhood — as if being a woman is a costume that you can put on and take off. Conservatives took the lead in defending women as a distinct group worthy of equal opportunity and protection under the law. Women saw this and recognized conservatives as the champions of common sense and core women’s rights.
Conservative policies are fundamentally pro-woman: Women thrive in a safe, secure society with a robust economy offering plentiful opportunities for people to pursue their own visions of happiness. This policy vision needs to be communicated carefully, in a manner that shows that women — all women, not just married mothers — are valued and can find a home in our movement.

Following days of swirling speculation, Nicole Kidman has made it official — she’s divorcing her husband of almost two decades, country music star Keith Urban.
The petition for divorce was filed in Davidson County, Tennessee, citing “irreconcilable differences.” 
Neither Kidman nor Urban has issued public statements about their split, but the tabloids have been working overtime to speak to unnamed insiders in an attempt to figure out what went wrong and when. These sources say the two had been living apart since the beginning of the summer, and the divorce is not surprising to the power couple’s inner circle.
Kidman met Urban in January 2005 at an annual gala in Los Angeles hosted by the American Australian Association, according to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/30/arts/nicole-kidman-keith-urban-divorce.html">The New York Times</a>.
“It sounds a bit like a pickup line from ‘Crocodile Dundee,’” Urban said during a speech last year about their first meeting. “I was trying to play it cool, but inside I felt like I’d snuck into the royal ball,” he said, adding that his future wife had an “otherworldly aura about her,” adding that it “felt a bit like I was meeting a real-life princess.”
They married in 2006 and went on to have two daughters together. Kidman was previously married to actor Tom Cruise from 1990 until 2001 and also has two children with him. 
Urban previously admitted to being treated for substance abuse after checking into rehab months after their wedding. He praised Kidman for sticking by him during that difficult time. 
Despite the prevalence of divorce in Hollywood, fans have long regarded Urban and Kidman as the exception to the rule thanks to the longevity of their marriage and their apparent devotion to each other. In May, Urban thanked his wife while being honored at the Academy of Country Music Awards. “My wife, Nicole Mary, is here tonight,” Urban said at the time. “I love you, baby girl.”
A source close to Urban told People that the singer has “just been going through some stuff” lately.
“He has been making questionable choices for some time now and this was not the case of them just drifting apart,” a source familiar with Kidman <a href="https://people.com/keith-urban-been-going-through-some-stuff-amid-nicole-kidman-split-sources-exclusive-11821691">told</a> the outlet.

Kristin Cabot, the woman caught on camera in a romantic pose with a man who was not her husband at a Coldplay concert in July, has filed for divorce from her spouse.
The former Astronomer employee also left her position as Chief People Officer following the national attention given to the story. Now NBC News is <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/pop-culture-news/woman-seen-coldplay-kiss-cam-astronomer-ceo-files-divorce-husband-rcna229570">reporting</a> that Cabot filed a petition for divorce on August 13 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, in a process that’s ongoing.
The documents say that a hearing is scheduled in the family division of New Hampshire&#8217;s 10th Circuit Court on November 26.
The internet has been obsessed with the alleged Astronomer affair scandal since it was made public following the July 16th Coldplay show.
A viral video shows Byron, who is also married, and Cabot embracing one another at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, when the kiss cam landed on them. The couple reacted immediately, with Byron letting go of Cabot and stepping out of frame. Cabot had a similar reaction as she immediately hid her face and turned away from the camera.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin called out their reaction. “Oh, look at these two,” the singer can be heard saying. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”
The popularity of the video spurred many fake reactions, including a faux statement attributed to Byron and images of a fake social media post attributed to Coldplay saying, “Starting with our next show, we’re introducing camera-free audience sections for people and their sidepieces.”
Byron has served as CEO of Astronomer since 2023, while Cabot had been with the company for less than one year.
Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, removed her last name from her Facebook account before deactivating it entirely just after the incident happened. Byron was on LinkedIn, but removed his profile in the wake of the scandal.
The Astronomer CEO resigned from his position, and the company attempted to do <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/astronomer-hires-gwyneth-paltrow-to-be-temporary-spokesperson-after-kiss-cam-drama">damage control</a> by hiring Coldplay frontman’s ex-wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as their “very temporary spokesperson.”

Ashley Biden, daughter of former president Joe Biden, has filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years.
The 44-year-old former first daughter filed the documents in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, per <a href="https://www.inquirer.com/news/ashley-biden-divorce-howard-krein-20250811.html">The Philadelphia Inquirer</a>. Ashley married Dr. Howard Krein, a plastic surgeon, 13 years ago on June 2, 2012, while President Biden was serving as vice president under Barack Obama.
She and Krein lived in Philadelphia and had no children.
The outlet also noted that Ashley posted a photo of herself to her Instagram stories walking through a park while giving a thumbs up with the Beyoncé song &#8220;Freedom&#8221; playing in the background.
She also reportedly posted the quote, “New life, new beginnings means new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like they did before,&#8221; to the social media site with Lauryn Hill’s “Freedom Time” playing as the featured song.
Ashley and Krein began dating in the summer of 2010 after meeting through Beau Biden, one of her older half-brothers who died from brain cancer in 2015.
Ashley and Krein were married at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church, in Greenville, Delaware, and hosted a reception for 200 people at her family’s home.
As the activist and social worker <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/ashley-biden-files-divorce-2112172">recounted</a> at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, &#8220;I had my wedding reception in my parents&#8217; backyard. At the time, my dad was vice president, but he was also that dad who literally set up the entire reception. He was riding around in his John Deere 4-wheeler, fixing the place settings, arranging the plants, and by the way, he was very emotional.&#8221;
Besides speaking at the DNC, Ashley has remained mostly out of the spotlight during her father’s public career &#8211; but she did go viral in 2020 after pages from her private journal were published in the run-up to the presidential election. 
Pages from the first daughter’s diary, including one talking about being “hyper-sexualized” at a young age and “showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate),” were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/snopes-changes-fact-check-rating-on-contents-of-ashley-bidens-diary-from-unproven-to-true">published</a> by a website called National File.
At the time, Ashley claimed that she was targeted because her father had been running for president, and the publicity the diary had drawn led her to be “constantly re-traumatized by it.”
She also said: “Repeatedly, I hear others grossly misinterpret my once-private writings and lob false accusations that defame my character and those of the people I love.”
This was far from the only drama in the Biden family. Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau, became romantically involved with Hunter Biden and said she was &#8220;ashamed&#8221; to have become addicted to crack in 2018 after Hunter introduced her to it.
“I found it [crack] and Googled it because I didn’t know what it was,” Hallie said during Hunter&#8217;s gun trial in 2024. “He told me what it was, crack cocaine.”
“It was a terrible experience I went through and I’m embarrassed and I’m ashamed,” Hallie said. &#8220;I regret that time of my life.”

Former first lady Michelle Obama addressed the recent rumors that she and her husband of 32 years, Barack, could be heading for divorce.
The 61-year-old “Becoming” author discussed the rumors during an episode of Sophia Bush’s “Work in Progress” podcast, which aired this morning.
Rumors about marital struggles for the Obamas swirled after Michelle skipped attending former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral in December. She also didn&#8217;t attend President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, even though her husband was there, as were all the other former first ladies. 
&#8220;The interesting thing is that, when I say &#8216;no,&#8217; for the most part people are like, &#8216;I get it, and I&#8217;m okay,'&#8221; Michelle said, per <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1415869/michelle-obama-breaks-silence-on-barack-obama-divorce-rumors">E! News</a>. &#8220;That&#8217;s the thing that we as women, I think &#8230;we struggle with disappointing people. I mean, so much so that this year people were &#8230; they couldn&#8217;t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.&#8221;
&#8220;This couldn&#8217;t be a grown woman just making a set of decisions for herself, right?&#8221; she continued. &#8220;But that&#8217;s what society does to us. We start actually, finally going, &#8216;What am I doing? Who am I doing this for?&#8217; And if it doesn&#8217;t fit into the sort of stereotype of what people think we should do, then it gets labeled as something negative and horrible.&#8221;
Later, Michelle mentioned that she’s been considering &#8220;making some big girl decisions&#8221; at this point in her life and understanding that she has to “own it fully.”
&#8220;If not now, when? What am I waiting for? How am I going to spend 20 years?&#8221; she said during the interview. &#8220;Now is the time for me to start asking myself these hard questions of, &#8216;Who do I truly want to be every day?'&#8221;
“And that changes,” she added. “So, who do I want to have a lunch with? How long do I want to stay in a place? Do I want to travel? If a girlfriend calls and says, ‘Let’s go here,’ I can say ‘Yes!’ I can. And I’m trying to do that more and more.”
“I get to look at my calendar, which I did this year. It was a real big example of me, myself, looking at something that I was supposed to do, you know, without naming names, and I chose to do what was best for me,” she said. “Not what I had to do, not what other people wanted me to do, and between you and me, that was an important test for me just as a woman, as an independent person. Because, like all women, I operate from guilt.”
Barack didn’t specifically address divorce rumors, but he did mention his marriage while speaking with Hamilton College president Steven Tepper during an event last week, the outlet noted. 
&#8220;I was in a deep deficit with my wife, so I have been trying to dig myself out of that hole by doing occasionally fun things,&#8221; the former president said at the time.
