The Trump administration has a holiday message for illegal immigrants.
In a new video released by the Department of Homeland Security on X, federal officials are inviting anyone who is in the country illegally to head &#8220;home for the holidays&#8221; by self-deporting.
The old-timey-themed black-and-white video opens with the message, &#8220;DHS presents &#8216;Home For The Holidays,&#8221; before flashing the message, &#8220;Use the CBP Home app to head home for the holidays.&#8221; The video then shows smiling illegal immigrants boarding planes, children receiving stuffed animals, and one man flashing a thumbs up to the camera, appearing to show a better alternative to arrest and deportation.

The Trump administration launched the CBP Home app to encourage illegal immigrants to leave on their own and without fear of arrest by federal authorities who have been aggressively conducting raids across the nation. More than 1.6 million illegal immigrants have self-deported from the United States, while the feds have deported more than half a million others, <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/10/27/dhs-removes-more-half-million-illegal-aliens-us" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Department of Homeland Security.

A hammer-wielding illegal immigrant with a rap sheet attacked a woman jogging on a path in Plano, Texas.
Mexican illegal immigrant Sergio Noe de Nova Duarte, 17, struck the female victim with the hammer while she was on a jog in Bob Woodruff Park on Thursday before fleeing the scene, local police said. He was later captured and charged with aggravated kidnapping and bodily injury.
The woman fought back as Duarte attacked her, <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/plano-woman-attacked-hammer-bob-woodruff-park/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to CBS News. She was later treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
&#8220;Given the nature of this incident and this attack, this could have gone so much worse,&#8221; Plano Police Detective Alexandra Cole said. &#8220;Luckily, she was brave enough to be able to fight her attacker off in order for this not to be an even more heinous crime than it already was.&#8221;
But it wasn&#8217;t Duarte&#8217;s first rodeo.
He was arrested last year for burglary and larceny, the Department of Homeland Security said Monday. Immigration and Customs Enforcement later took him into custody, but the Biden administration ultimately released him.
Now, the Trump administration is working to ensure he stays in custody.
“This criminal illegal alien should have never been loose in our communities to attack this woman jogging in a park with a hammer,” Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement Monday.
“Following this illegal alien’s arrest in 2024, the Biden administration released this criminal illegal alien back into our communities. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, ICE lodged an arrest detainer to ensure this criminal illegal alien is NEVER able to prey on innocent women in our country again,&#8221; she said.
Duarte came to the United States on a B2 tourist visa in 2016, but failed to leave the country by the required date, according to Homeland Security.

An alleged illegal immigrant terrorist was working as a truck driver in the United States using a Pennsylvania-issued commercial driver&#8217;s license, the Department of Homeland Security revealed Monday.
Local authorities pulled over Uzbek national Akhror Bozorov, 31, on Nov. 9 when it was discovered that he had an Interpol warrant for allegedly distributing terrorist propaganda calling for jihad online and recruiting fellow terrorists, federal law enforcement sources told The Daily Wire. Immigration and Customs Enforcement later took him into custody.
Bozorov crossed the California border illegally in 2023 and was swiftly released into the country when the Biden administration was pushing Border Patrol to move people out of custody as quickly as possible. His warrant was issued the year before he came to the United States, but border agents didn&#8217;t find any such red flags because they didn&#8217;t have enough time to properly vet him, sources said.
“Not only was Akhror Bozorov — a wanted terrorist — RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration, but he was also given a commercial driver’s license by Governor Shapiro’s Pennsylvania. This should go without saying, but terrorist illegal aliens should not be operating 18-wheelers on America’s highways,” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a Monday statement.
“Biden and Mayorkas allowed countless terrorists to come into our country. President Trump and Secretary Noem unleashed ICE to target these national security threats,&#8221; she added.
Under the Biden administration, ISIS-tied smuggling networks helped hundreds of illegal immigrants from Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries cross into the United States, CNN previously <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/26/politics/dhs-identifies-400-migrants-smuggled-isis" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
In 2024, the Biden administration handed Bozorov a work permit, which likely opened the door for his trucking license.
The Trump administration recently commenced a crackdown on states issuing commercial driver&#8217;s licenses to illegal immigrants, with the worst offender being California, after a series of fatal collisions.

“We don’t know what they’re carrying across state lines in an 18-wheeler, terrorists will stop at nothing to harm the United States, and it is well within the realm of possibility that some of these trucks … could be carrying toxic chemicals, bombs, or God knows what,” Lyons said.

California authorities released an illegal immigrant who went on to kill six farmworkers in a DUI crash last month, The Daily Wire has learned.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement lodged a detainer with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ice-nabs-illegal-immigrant-gang-member-who-fled-california-after-murder-only-to-kill-another-in-texas">California</a> authorities in 2024, asking them to hand over the Mexican illegal immigrant Beto Cerillo-Bialva, 49, before he was released for his third DUI arrest, the Department of Homeland Security told The Daily Wire.
But that request was ignored. Cerillo-Bialva was released, only to go on to allegedly commit his fourth DUI in Napa County, where he drunkenly drove into a tree, killing six passengers and severely injuring another.
Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said sanctuary laws are to blame for the fatal crash.
“This serial criminal killed six innocent souls. Governor Newsom has blood on his hands. This serial criminal should have never been released by California authorities,” McLaughlin said.
“Sanctuary policies protect the WORST OF THE WORST criminal illegal aliens ICE will do everything in our power to remove this serial drunk driver, abuser, and drug user from our country,” she added.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office hit back at the Trump administration, placing the blame on the feds.
“It’s clear that this is an attempt to distract from the truth,” said Diana Crofts-Pelayo, Newsom’s deputy director of communications, <a href="https://www.ktvu.com/news/napa-county-crash-suspect-ice" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to KTVU.
Federal authorities have deported Cerillo-Bialva seven times, according to DHS. He also has a criminal history that includes possession of cocaine, three DUIs, driving without a license, and violating a court-ordered restraining order.  
“This individual re-entered the country several times under the federal government’s watch. Trump and Miller have little interest in public safety or protecting farmworkers,” said Crofts-Pelayo.
The victims of the crash were identified as Loreto Ricardo Hernandez, 42; Fernando Silverio, 34; Aaron Ruiz, 39; Beymar Reynosa Rodriguez, 32; Demetrio Celerino Francisco, 39; and Pedro Lopez Gomez, 57, according to KTVU.
California became a sanctuary state in 2018, preventing local authorities from assisting ICE and keeping them out of local jails.
In an effort to carry out its mass deportation campaign in sanctuary states, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/08/06/us-news/trumps-doj-targets-sanctuary-city-nyc-by-going-after-migrants-with-federal-charges/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Trump</a> administration has worked to obtain federal warrants when making immigration arrests. The warrants are a loophole in the sanctuary laws, allowing ICE agents into jails when they obtain such charges, as they escalate immigration cases from civil to criminal.
The charges are often for illegal entry or reentry after deportation.

California Released Illegal Immigrant Who Went On To Kill Six In DUI Crash

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent Ian Andre Roberts of Guyana on Friday. Roberts was handed a deportation order from an immigration judge in May 2024 and had weapons charges from Feb. 5, 2020, according to ICE.
Since then, the school district has come under scrutiny for how it came to hire Roberts in the first place.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services spokesman Matthew Tragesser told The Daily Wire that the agency &#8220;did not find&#8221; any <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/red-states-consider-bills-to-push-illegals-to-self-deport">E-Verify</a> cases under Roberts&#8217; name going back more than a decade. Roberts <a href="https://www.dmschools.org/2025/09/announcements-on-detention-of-dr-ian-roberts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">assumed</a> his latest role in July 2023.
USCIS also doesn&#8217;t have any record that Des Moines Public Schools &#8220;has ever been enrolled in the E-Verify program.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s inconceivable. Roberts deceived parents, students, and administrators. Justice will be served,&#8221; Tragesser said.

Des Moines Public School board chair Jackie Norris <a href="https://www.dmschools.org/2025/09/announcements-on-detention-of-dr-ian-roberts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> Monday that &#8220;at no point was any DMPS employee or board member notified that Dr. Roberts was not eligible to work, either by a federal agency or Dr. Roberts.&#8221; She also said that Roberts &#8220;stated he was a citizen&#8221; on his I-9 employment eligibility form and provided a driver&#8217;s license and social security card when he was hired.
During Roberts&#8217; hiring process, the Dentons Davis Brown law firm reviewed the form and accompanying documents and stated that the information provided &#8220;did not raise concerns about his eligibility to work,&#8221; Norris said.

Des Moines Public Schools also contracted the outside firm JG Consulting to recruit possible superintendent candidates in December 2022, the school district <a href="https://www.dmschools.org/2025/09/announcements-on-detention-of-dr-ian-roberts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. The firm used the company Baker-Eubanks to conduct a background check into Roberts, which the district said &#8220;found nothing related to citizenship or immigration matters related to Dr. Roberts.&#8221;
A spokesman for Baker-Eubanks, however, told The Daily Wire that &#8220;all publicly available criminal records&#8221; were disclosed to the school district, which &#8220;ultimately chose to proceed with the hire despite having received&#8221; the concerning history.
Notably, Iowa doesn&#8217;t require employers in the state to use E-Verify. The state Senate voted to mandate that employers use E-Verify last year, but the fate of the bill still sits in the hands of House legislators.
Former New York Field Office Deputy Director Scott Mechkowski told The Daily Wire that the Roberts case is the perfect example of why E-Verify is needed nationwide.
&#8220;The hiring of an undocumented individual with a criminal history and deportation order into a position of educational leadership exposes a profound vulnerability in our systems, one that E-Verify could have sealed at the outset,&#8221; said Mechkowski.
&#8220;This is not merely an oversight, it is a betrayal of public trust, demanding immediate reform to safeguard our institutions and communities. How many more are out there? Pass E-Verify immediately,&#8221; he added.
A spokesman for the school district didn&#8217;t immediately respond to The Daily Wire&#8217;s request for comment.
Roberts has since been placed on unpaid leave and lost his superintendent license. His lawyers <a href="https://x.com/GrageDustin/status/1973080084157174239" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> during a press conference on Tuesday that Roberts will submit a formal resignation letter later in the day.
When he was nabbed by ICE, Roberts fled the scene and abandoned his car in the nearby woods, the agency said. ICE eventually found him and discovered he was carrying a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash, and a fixed-blade hunting knife.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested the Des Moines Public Schools superintendent after it turned out that he was an illegal immigrant with a rap sheet, the agency announced Friday.
Ian Andre Roberts, of Guyana, had a deportation order from May 2024 and weapons charges from February 5, 2020, when ICE finally nabbed him, <a href="https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ice-arrests-criminal-alien-serving-des-moines-public-schools-superintendent-prior">according</a> to ICE.

Initially, Roberts tried to flee and sped away as officers identified themselves, ICE said. Authorities later found his car abandoned in the woods nearby and were able to track him down with the help of the State Patrol.
The officers found that Roberts had a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash, and a fixed-blade hunting knife.
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations St. Paul Field Office Director Sam Olson called out the system that allowed Roberts to gain employment in the U.S. in a statement on Friday.

“This should be a wake-up call for our communities to the great work that our officers are doing every day to remove public safety threats. How this illegal alien was hired without work authorization, a final order of removal, and a prior weapons charge is beyond comprehension and should alarm the parents of that school district,&#8221; Olson said.
Investigators are also probing how Roberts was able to acquire a handgun since illegal immigrants are prohibited from obtaining firearms.
Roberts first entered the U.S. in 1999 on a student visa, according to ICE.
In a previous interview reflecting on his first year as superintendent, Roberts <a href="https://www.daybreakhealth.com/resources/leading-with-empathy-a-conversation-with-des-moines-public-schools-superintendent-dr-ian-roberts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a> that it was important to be &#8220;culturally responsive&#8221; in the classroom, promoted left-wing &#8220;SEL curriculum&#8221; in the classroom, and emphasized the need for safe spaces.

A rioter armed with a gun was arrested as protesters tried to block Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from driving in and out of an agency processing center in Broadview, Illinois, on Friday morning.
Authorities arrested 17 rioters and more arrests are expected, Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin <a href="https://x.com/nicksortor/status/1971632993472336366" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on Fox News Friday.
In one dramatic scene captured on a video posted to X, the demonstrators could be seen surrounding the front of one agency vehicle as they shouted expletives at the agents and called them “fascist pigs.” They also hurled teddy bears at the car as they banged on its hood.
The vehicle slowly continued as federal agents in tactical gear deployed pepper balls to force the group to disperse. Some rioters attempted to hurl tear gas at the agents, <a href="https://x.com/FordFischer/status/1971567317768397287" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to video posted on X.
&#8220;They&#8217;re obstructing law enforcement vehicles from being able to enter that facility,&#8221; said McLaughlin, who called the situation &#8220;very alarming.&#8221;

The attempt to block ICE’s operations comes amid a 1,000% increase in assaults against agency personnel. Last month, a man who was identified as 36-year-old Bratton Dean Wilkinson walked into the ICE facility in <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/08/26/law-enforcement-arrests-suspect-who-made-bomb-threat-ice-dallas-facility" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dallas</a> and claimed to have a bomb in his backpack while flashing a “detonator” on his wrist, the agency said.
At a nearby ICE facility in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/11-arrested-for-plotting-ambush-to-kill-ice-corrections-officers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alvarado</a>, Texas, a group of leftist anarchists clad in military-style gear threw fireworks to lure officers outside on July 4 before they opened fire and shot a local police officer in the neck.

Armed Rioter Arrested As Protesters Try To Block ICE Agents From Driving Into Illinois Facility

A pair of illegal immigrants lured a 13-year-old girl from her home in Rochester, New York, transporting her to a location outside of Chicago before federal authorities found her 10 days later.
The young girl was first reported missing on September 11, the U.S. Marshals Service <a href="https://www.usmarshals.gov/news/press-release/us-marshals-find-missing-new-york-child-near-chicago-company-of-two-adult-males" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Monday. She was later seen in a security video meeting with three individuals before getting into a light-colored SUV with them.

The Rochester Police Department requested help locating the missing child from the U.S. Marshals, who determined that she had traveled to the Chicago area.
She ended up at an apartment complex in the 2300 block of West 119th Street in Blue Island, Illinois, where she was found in the company of an 18-year-old man and his father, both of whom were determined by Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be illegal immigrants, according to the U.S. Marshals.
“The United States Marshals Service worked tirelessly to recover this endangered child from the predators who should have never been in this country to take her from the safety of her family and home. Our children deserve safe cities!” U.S. Marshals Service Director Gadyaces S. Serralta said in a statement Monday.
Neither the Department of Homeland Security nor Immigration and Customs Enforcement responded to The Daily Wire&#8217;s requests for comment.

Pair Of Illegal Immigrants Lure 13-Year-Old Girl From New York Home To Illinois

A boxcutter-wielding Guatemalan man accused of violently raping a young jogger in New Haven, Connecticut, last month is an illegal immigrant who has already been deported twice, The Daily Wire has learned.
Guatemalan illegal <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-illegal-immigrant-fatally-shot-by-ice-agent-received-deportation-waiver-under-biden">immigrant</a> Ludvi Carias-Interiano, 34, allegedly tackled the female victim to the ground 30 minutes into her marathon training on August 9, <a href="https://www.nhregister.com/news/article/new-haven-carias-interiano-jogger-sexual-assault-21044314.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the New Haven Register. The man held a boxcutter to her throat as he “repeatedly” raped her before running away. Carias-Interiano admitted to investigators that he engaged in sexual activity, but claimed it was consensual, the report noted.
The feds deported Carias-Interiano twice during President Donald Trump’s first term in office, but he later snuck back in undetected, Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told The Daily Wire.

Police finally nabbed Carias-Interiano at his home in nearby West Haven last week thanks to DNA evidence, which gave them a “hit” and also tied him to an unsolved sexual assault in Plano, Texas, according to the local news outlet.
He was also arrested in 2016 in Texas for allegedly assaulting a child.

ICE lodged a detainer on September 11 for local cops in Connecticut to hand over Carias-Interiano “to ensure” he’s “not released on U.S. streets to terrorize more innocent women,” McLaughlin said.
“This criminal illegal alien should have NEVER been in our country in the first place to commit this heinous rape of a young woman jogging in the park. This violent criminal has prior charges for sexual assault of a minor and violent assault,” she said.

McLaughlin expressed concern over Connecticut’s “recently reinforced” Trust Act that has “severely limited” local authorities’ ability to work with ICE, “effectively making them a sanctuary state.”
“ICE lodged an arrest detainer to ensure this criminal illegal alien is not released on U.S. streets to terrorize more innocent women. Unfortunately, Connecticut is a sanctuary state that protects predators like Carias-Interiano by refusing to work with ICE,” she said. “These sanctuary politicians put American lives in danger.”

Boxcutter-Wielding Man Arrested For Rape Of Young Jogger Is Twice Deported Illegal Immigrant

The Trump administration is demanding that New York City hand over a previously deported illegal immigrant with a rap sheet who is now accused of fatally mowing down a young teen who refused his sexual advances.
Honduran illegal <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-illegal-immigrant-fatally-shot-by-ice-agent-received-deportation-waiver-under-biden">immigrant</a> Jose Edwin Cruz Gomez, 38, is accused of hitting a 16-year-old girl, her mother, and stepfather on Saturday with his vehicle after the teen rejected “his drunken, lewd advances,” Immigration and Customs Enforcement said in a press release.

The young girl was killed as a result of the attack, while her mother was injured, according to <a href="https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ice-lodges-detainer-against-illegal-alien-who-murdered-teenage-girl-after-she" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ICE</a>.
Now, ICE is pushing the New York City Department of Corrections not to release Cruz Gomez from custody before handing him over to the feds.
ICE officially lodged a detainer requesting that Cruz Gomez stay in custody on Monday, the agency said.
“Another young family is dealing with an unimaginable and all-too-preventable tragedy due to soft-on-crime sanctuary policies and prior open-border policies that let criminal aliens pour into our country with impunity,” acting ICE Director Todd M. Lyons said in a statement Wednesday.
“The days of criminal aliens being given carte blanche to harm innocent people are over. These violent offenders will face the full force of the law and then be expeditiously removed from the U.S.,” he added.

Cruz Gomez crossed the southern <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-trump-speeds-up-mass-deportation-campaign-with-389000-illegal-immigrant-removals">border</a> illegally into Nogales, Arizona, on November 10, 2004, according to ICE. The illegal immigrant pleaded with an immigration judge to grant him asylum and allow him to stay, but he was deported in 2005.
He then crossed the border again, sneaking past authorities at an unknown subsequent date, according to ICE.
Cruz Gomez then appeared on Long Island, where he was arrested for a DUI on April 29, 2013.
ICE took him into custody after his deportation order was reinstated, but eventually released him two months later with an electronic monitor, which he later ditched, ICE said. The feds tried to locate him, but were unsuccessful.
Cruz Gomez allegedly went on to commit other crimes, including possession of a forged instrument in October 2024; disorderly conduct: creating hazardous or physically offensive conditions; attempted driving while intoxicated; and attempted operation of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more in January.

After each arrest, local cops released him from custody before ICE could get their hands on him, the agency said. ICE also had its hands tied under the Biden administration, which prevented the agency from arresting illegal immigrants who didn’t meet its priorities for arrests.
“He didn’t meet their criteria of aggravated felon with additional factors or a national security threat … it’s Biden’s fault,” former acting ICE Director Jonathan Fahey told The Daily Wire.
While sanctuary laws also shielded Cruz Gomez, there’s a major loophole the Trump administration could use to arrest him, said Fahey.
The Trump administration has hit <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/05/19/us-news/how-trumps-doj-is-forcing-sanctuary-city-authorities-to-help-with-immigration-crackdown/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">thousands</a> of illegal immigrants with criminal charges for entering the country after previous deportations, which results in federal criminal charges that allow ICE agents to enter sanctuary jails.
“The one thing that they can do to ensure he doesn&#8217;t get released is if they were to charge him with reentry after being deported then that&#8217;s a criminal warrant and they have to honor those,” said Fahey.
“That’s the way to get at some of these sanctuary cities … there’s so many people sitting in jails in LA, New York, Chicago, that probably are eligible,” he said.

Trump Admin Demands NYC Cops Hand Over Illegal Accused Of Killing Teen Who Rejected Sexual Advances

On Wednesday, a Louisiana immigration judge <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.njd.564334/gov.uscourts.njd.564334.378.0.pdf">ruled</a> that pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil can be deported to Syria or Algeria, saying the extension of time requested by his attorneys was denied.
“The order from the immigration judge, Jamee Comans, came despite a separate order in Khalil’s federal case in New Jersey blocking his deportation while that court considers Khalil’s legal argument that his detention and deportation are unlawful retaliation for his Palestinian advocacy,” <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2025/09/17/mahmoud-khalil-immigration-deportation-order-00569769">Politico</a> reported.
In April, Comans <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/judge-rules-columbias-pro-hamas-agitator-mahmoud-khalil-can-be-deported?utm_source=chatgpt.com">ruled</a> that Khalil – who was detained over his actions leading anti-Israel protests at Columbia University — could be deported, giving him until April 23 to appeal the decision.
Judge Comans cited the letter from the Secretary of State Marco Rubio, finding that Khalil’s presence in the United States had potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States, noting, “As previously found by this Court, the Immigration Judge lacks authority to question foreign policy determinations made by the U.S. Secretary of State.”
Rubio had written that Khalil had led “antisemitic protests and disruptive activities, which fosters a hostile environment for Jewish students in the United States.” Khalil led American undergraduates at Columbia University in actions in support of Hamas after its October 7, 2023, attack. “He served as the negotiator on behalf of the occupying students with the university, pressuring the administration to accommodate student demands based on their illegal activity. He helped organize an illegal encampment on the campus that denied access to ‘Zionist’ students,” JNS <a href="applewebdata://187BEFC8-51EE-4818-A3C5-5F1D4D558027/v">noted</a>.
“The Court also takes into consideration, as a negative factor, the Respondent’s underlying fraud in the course of applying for adjustment of status,” the judge wrote, adding that Khalil “failed to disclose his involvement, association and participation with United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) and Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD), on his Form I-485. Candid disclosures by the Respondent may have triggered the need for additional information and further processing, involving some degree of discretionary decision-making on the part of the USCIS adjudicator.”
“The evidence shows the Respondent knew of the potential immigration consequences for his involvement in protests organized by varying organizations on campus, including CUAD,” Comans explained. “The Respondent was quoted in the news stating that he did not participate in the protests during this time because he was worried about the immigration consequences of his participation, specifically that he would lose his student visa. &#8230; The Court finds the Respondent’s lack of candor and purposeful failure to disclose complete information on the Form I-485 to be significant negative factors. His involvement, association, and participation with CUAD and UNRWA were such that the truth would predictably have disclosed other facts relevant to his qualifications.”
“Finally, there is no indication Congress ever intended an applicant to benefit from a waiver when the applicant willfully and intentionally fails to accurately report information in the post entry process of adjustment of status,” she pointed out. “The waiver was not designed to reward a lack of candor by applicants admitted as immigrant visa holders who then intentionally engage in dishonesty by misrepresenting facts in the application process to adjust status, post entry. A waiver under these conditions would render the application process meaningless and improperly shift the burden to demonstrate integrity of the information provided by the alien onto the United States government.”
“This Court finds that Respondent’s lack of candor on his I-485 was not an oversight by an uninformed, uneducated applicant. This Court finds that the Respondent’s purposeful, non-disclosure was not a misrepresentation by another which imputed consequences to the Respondent. Rather, this Court finds that Respondent willfully misrepresented material fact(s) for the sole purpose of circumventing the immigration process and reducing the likelihood his application would be denied,” she continued.
“This Court cannot and will not condone such an action by granting a discretionary waiver. To do so, would encourage future applicants to take the gamble of materially misrepresenting facts and then seeking a waiver if it is somehow discovered by the U.S. government,” she contended. “The Respondent has failed to meet his burden of proof to establish he is eligible for the waiver, and in the alternative, the Respondent failed to meet his burden of proof to establish that he warrants a favorable exercise of discretion for a waiver under INA § 237(a)(1)(H). Therefore, the request for relief will be denied.”
The judge concluded by ordering that Khalil’s application for asylum regarding Algeria was denied and that his applications for asylum regarding Syria were denied.

An illegal immigrant hit an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer with his car as the officer attempted to arrest him during a Sunday traffic stop in Florida, The Daily Wire has learned.
Henry Isaul Garcia reversed his car — which was carrying three other illegal immigrants — into the ICE officer’s leg before “nearly crushing him,” the Department of Homeland Security told The Daily Wire. The Guatemalan citizen then hit multiple ICE vehicles during the traffic stop in Homestead, Florida, before speeding off and colliding with a black utility van.

Garcia and his illegal immigrant passengers then ran out of the car, but were ultimately nabbed by the feds, according to DHS.
Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said “sanctuary politicians” who “have openly encouraged and provided tips for how to evade our ICE officers” are to blame for the latest attack.
“We are praying for the speedy recovery of our law enforcement officer,” McLaughlin told The Daily Wire. “The violence against our brave ICE law enforcement must come to an end. This is the second incident in a week where an officer was injured while arresting an illegal alien.”

The latest attack comes amid a 1,000% increase in assaults on ICE officers as they carry out President Donald Trump’s mass deportation campaign.
In one recent example, an ICE officer in Chicago was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/illegal-immigrant-shot-and-killed-after-wounding-ice-agent-in-chicago">hit and dragged by an illegal immigrant</a> driver. The federal officer responded by shooting the driver, who was later pronounced dead.
“This type of rhetoric is contributing to our ICE officers facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them. It is time to tone down the rhetoric,” said McLaughlin.

The injured ICE officer is in stable condition after being treated at a local hospital, DHS said. The group of illegal immigrants was also transported to a hospital, before they were discharged and booked into ICE detention.
