Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), attempted to blame President Donald Trump for the deadly shooting that took place in Washington, D.C., the day before Thanksgiving.
The suspect is an Afghan national, let into the United States during former President Joe Biden&#8217;s administration after the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, who opened fire on National Guard troops in the nation&#8217;s capital. One, SPC. Sarah Beckstrom of West Virginia, has died as a result of her injuries. But according to Wasserman Schultz, Trump was to blame for the horrific ambush attack.

Wasserman Schultz, responding to President Trump&#8217;s plan to go back and revisit the vetting process for the Afghan nationals who were brought into the United States as refugees, noted that in order for someone to have slipped through the cracks, there had to have been failures at a number of levels.
&#8220;We need to make sure that we have tight and appropriate and proper vetting. If there were gaps that admitted this person, they would have failed over multiple levels of gaps, and this individual was trusted enough to participate in assisting our military during the war in Afghanistan,&#8221; Wasserman Schultz said.

She then pivoted to blame Trump, adding, &#8220;The president looks everywhere except inward to blame his own policies. We need to make sure that we don&#8217;t have our military deployed in our cities, handling law enforcement responsibilities, and we need to make sure that we address gun violence. We certainly need to make sure that we always have the proper and appropriate and tight vetting processes and those should be reviewed, but it&#8217;s never the president&#8217;s fault or his policies when it comes to his reaction, and it’s pretty disgusting.&#8221;
What Wasserman Schultz failed to acknowledge, however, was the fact that people like Pentagon spokesman and Army Ranger veteran <a href="https://x.com/Surabees/status/1994030582116876620">Sean Parnell</a> had sounded the alarm even at the time, warning that some Afghans who had been trusted and had worked with American troops on the ground had betrayed them when it mattered.

Kennedy Jr.</a> ripped into House Democrats over their “hypocrisy” on anti-Semitism in their <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dems-try-and-fail-to-censor-rfk-jr-at-censorship-hearing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">attempts to shut him</a> down during his testimony during a House hearing this week on censorship. 
In a Twitter <a href="https://twitter.com/RobertKennedyJr/status/1682795643096424448" target="_blank" rel="noopener">thread</a> on Saturday, Kennedy went after Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) over her <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/01/24/democrats-ilhan-omar-house-committees-mccarthy-00079319" target="_blank" rel="noopener">support</a> of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). Schultz attacked Kennedy on Thursday during a Republican-led censorship hearing.
During the hearing, Schultz moved to shift the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government hearing to executive session “because Mr. Kennedy has repeatedly made despicable anti-Semitic and anti-Asian comments as recently as last week.”
Schultz cited, “among many other things,” comments Kennedy recently made about COVID-19, which the candidate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rfk-jr-pushes-back-after-saying-covid-ethnically-targeted-to-not-impact-jews-chinese-as-bad-as-whites-blacks">says have been misconstrued</a>.
“COVID-19, there is an argument that it is ethnically targeted. COVID-19 attacks certain races disproportionately,” Kennedy said, <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/07/15/rfk-jr-says-covid-was-ethnically-targeted-to-spare-jews/">according</a> to The New York Post. “COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.”
“Ok. Let’s heap a few more layers of irony on the mountain of paradox and hypocrisy that Congressional Democrats created Thursday in their attempt to censor me from speaking at the censorship hearings,” Kennedy began in his Twitter thread. 
“Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz who led the pitchfork brigade by trying to muzzle me with false accusations of racism and antisemitism, in 2016 lost her post running the DNC when leaked documents revealed that her DNC staffers were routinely and cynically using anti-Semitism to take down [Sen. Bernie Sanders],” he added. 
Kennedy then shifted  his attack to hitting Schultz over comments made by <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/01/24/democrats-ilhan-omar-house-committees-mccarthy-00079319">Omar</a> and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
“[Wasserman Schultz] has not only refused to condemn the overt anti-Semitic rhetoric of [Tlaib] and Ilhan Omar, but she supported Omar’s appointment to the Foreign Relations Committee despite Omar’s advocacy of a boycott of Israel,” he tweeted. “Omar used that platform to issue regular libels against Israel and Jews that include references to Jews and their &#8216;Benjamins.’”

Kennedy also <a href="https://jewishinsider.com/2023/04/democratic-jewish-lawmakers-hakeem-jeffries-uncle-leonard-jeffries-antisemitism/">criticized</a> Schultz for “loyally” defending far-Left House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who “once invited his uncle Leonard Jeffries to speak at CUNY, a platform he used to explain that the Jewish community was ‘pro-Nazi.’”
According to The New York Post, Jeffries <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/04/13/house-minority-leader-hakeem-jeffries-under-fire-for-defending-uncles-antisemitic-comments-while-in-college/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> his uncle, who has a history of making disparaging comments toward both Jews and white people, to speak at Binghamton University (which is a SUNY school).
“I won’t be lectured to about antisemitism from Democratic lawmakers like Wasserman Schultz who voted to give Iran $150b while that regime promises a new Holocaust against the Jews.<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Kennedy24?src=hashtag_click"> #Kennedy24</a>,” he concluded. 
Kennedy has polled as high as 19% among Democrat presidential primary voters, and has been critical of Big Tech censorship on topics related to the COVID vaccine.

Consider that on Wednesday, disgraced ex-DNC Chair and current Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) grumbled about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis&#8217; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/desantis-signs-strongest-anti-illegal-immigration-bills-into-law-as-biden-border-crisis-worsens" target="_blank" rel="noopener">new e-verify law</a> to ensure that employers hire American citizens and legal residents, among other objectives. Wasserman Schultz warned MSNBC viewers that our nation&#8217;s veggies would soon begin to decay in the Sunshine State because of DeSantis&#8217; new law.
&#8220;He&#8217;s going to devastate our economy. Tourism, construction, agriculture — I mean you&#8217;re going to have vegetables rotting in the fields, you&#8217;re going to have construction sites lying dormant … the tourism and restaurant industry, in particular, rely on these workers,&#8221; Wasserman Schultz said.

Wasserman Schultz isn&#8217;t alone in her concern. A few weeks ago, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) made similar comments.
“So let’s all take a minute to recognize the hypocrisy of every anti-immigrant debate,” Jayapal <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/democrat-says-america-cant-survive-without-illegal-aliens-filling-cleaning-lady-jobs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> while arguing for amnesty. “This country needs immigrants to survive. Immigrants pick the food we eat, rebuild our communities after climate disasters, help construct our infrastructure, power our small business economy, clean our homes, and look after the most precious in our families — our children and our elders.”

Did you get that? America won&#8217;t be able to &#8220;survive&#8221; without illegal aliens. What sort of nation doesn&#8217;t even have an abundant supply of cleaning ladies and cheap labor, Jayapal is effectively saying.
And then we have former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). When DeSantis shipped a crew of 48 illegal aliens from Venezuela to Martha&#8217;s Vineyard, she too worried about who would be out in the fields picking her Florida oranges if the governor went any further.
“We have a shortage of workers in our country, and you see even in Florida, some of the farmers and the growers saying: ‘Why are you shipping these immigrants up north? We need them to pick the crops down here,’” Pelosi <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/09/30/nancy-pelosi-says-florida-needs-migrants-to-pick-crops/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
The other reason that Democrats support illegal immigration is that they hope to turn these individuals into loyal party voters. The rebuttal is that no illegal aliens are voting, so that is a conspiracy. Well, if mass amnesty is granted, then they would be American citizens and could vote.
Consider that a 2018 leaked memo from an influential progressive claimed that <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/01/11/leaked-memo-daca-amnesty-is-critical-component-of-democratic-partys-future-electoral-success/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">amnesty for many illegal aliens in the Deferred Action Childhood Arrival  (DACA) program</a> was a &#8220;critical component of the Democratic party’s future electoral success.&#8221;
Now, party politicians such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) are advocating for amnesty for the &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/no-thanks-schumer-wants-amnesty-for-11-million-or-however-many-illegal-aliens-are-in-the-u-s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">11 million or however many&#8221;</a> illegal aliens there are in the country.
Here&#8217;s the thing: Democrats and Washington Republicans actually agree on this issue. Illegal immigration supplies cheap labor and businesses can keep wages low. In turn, both political establishments <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/no-thanks-schumer-wants-amnesty-for-11-million-or-however-many-illegal-aliens-are-in-the-u-s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">push for amnesty</a>. Democrats do it because they hope to gain new voters, and Republicans do it because they are dumb.
In actually, all illegals <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-best-way-to-get-order-at-the-border-is-to-close-it-once-and-for-all" target="_blank" rel="noopener">should be deported</a> and the border should be sealed off once and for all, as discussed last week.
Yet until that happens, liberals such as Pelosi, Wasserman Schultz, and Jayapal will be more than happy to allow them be to exploited for inexpensive work.

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/congress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">U.S. Congress</a> has spent all week attacking the free press in order to defend democracy or something.
First, the bipartisan affair <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/at-best-the-swamp-thinks-you-are-really-dumb" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reached mass hysteria levels</a> as Republicans, Democrats, and even supposedly neutral parties such as the Capitol Police harangued Fox News&#8217;s Tucker Carlson for daring to air never-before-seen security footage from the inside the Capitol building on January 6 alongside some of his own commentary on the topic.
We all know Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell called it a &#8220;mistake,&#8221; Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer called him &#8220;dangerous,&#8221; and even President Joe Biden questioned the gall of somebody to cast doubt on the government-media-complex-approved record of that day.
That demagoguery is still ongoing, but on Thursday, Congress found a new target to pick apart: the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dem-causes-hilarity-by-asking-twitter-files-authors-about-a-threesome" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trio of journalists</a> who reported &#8220;The Twitter Files&#8221; — Matt Taibbi, Michael Shellenberger, and Bari Weiss.
Shellenberger and Taibbi testified before Congress Thursday to discuss their reporting that showed apparent corruption between Big Tech and Big Government, seemingly to silence some conservatives and other contrarian thinkers.
The hearing was aptly titled, &#8220;Weaponization of the Federal Government on the Twitter Files,&#8221; and it would appear some Democrats are still intent on weaponizing the federal government. The three reporters received the emails from an unknown source at Twitter. Democrats were very keen on figuring out who that was.
For example, Representative Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dem-congresswoman-takes-shot-at-twitter-files-journalist-he-immediately-shreds-her" target="_blank" rel="noopener">attempted</a> to bully Taibbi into divulging his sources — particularly about Twitter CEO Elon Musk. Journalists are constitutionally protected from revealing their sources, but in the name of Democracy, she tried to do it anyway.

&#8220;Who gave you access to these emails? Who was the individual who gave you permission to access these emails?” Plaskett demanded to know.
Taibbi refused to say. During their back-and-forth, she also tried to belittle him as a &#8220;so-called journalist.&#8221;
He quickly defended himself by pointing out his credentials.

“Ranking Member Plaskett, I’m not a so-called journalist,&#8221; he <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dem-congresswoman-takes-shot-at-twitter-files-journalist-he-immediately-shreds-her" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;I’ve won the National Magazine Award, the I.F. Stone Award for independent journalism, and I’ve written 10 books including four New York Times best-sellers.&#8221;
Even if he did not have those awards, he would still be entitled to First Amendment protections as a journalist — whether that be citizen or corporate.
Plaskett was not alone. Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) tried goading him into giving up his sources as well.

Florida Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz went on to berate Taibbi for &#8220;profiting&#8221; off his reporting. She ended the lecture by  implying he only released the Twitter files for &#8220;attention.&#8221;
&#8220;Eyeballs, money, prominence, attention,&#8221; she <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/politics/debbie-wasserman-schultz-trashes-matt-taibbi-as-profiteering-tool-of-elon-musk-in-explosive-twitter-hearing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;All of it points to problems with accuracy and credibility. And the larger point, which is social media companies are not biased against conservatives, and if anything, they ignored their own policies by allowing Trump and other MAGA extremists to post incessant lies, endangering public safety and even our democracy.&#8221;
Taibbi is not a Trump supporter, but she must have chosen to ignore that.

The message from the full hearing was abundantly obvious: Agree with the leftist narrative, or you are a threat to America&#8217;s democracy itself. Perhaps calling opponents &#8220;racists&#8221; lost its sting, so they had to change their preferred method.
And last but not least, The Daily Wire&#8217;s very own Michael Knowles was called a full-blown &#8220;Nazi&#8221; by sitting Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) because the podcast host and best-selling author said that transgenderism should be &#8220;eradicated&#8221; from public life.
&#8220;Michael Knowles is a Nazi hellbent on keeping only white men alive and in power,&#8221; Bowman tweeted. &#8220;We cannot allow him and others to push their evil agenda and we must stand up for the transgender rights. CPAC has made one thing clear this year – they support a future run by Nazis like Knowles.&#8221;
In response, Knowles tweeted, Bowman &#8220;called me &#8216;a Nazi hellbent on keeping only white men alive and in power&#8217; because I said society should treat &#8216;transgenderism&#8217; as we did before 2015,&#8221; while adding that the New York Democrat should be &#8220;censured for these outrageous and defamatory remarks.&#8221;

All in all, it was an illuminating week for those paying attention to the &#8220;Defenders of Democracy&#8221; crowd.
Their reaction to free speech made one thing clear, if you haven&#8217;t picked up on it yet: When they say &#8220;democracy&#8221; they do not actually mean America&#8217;s Democratic Republic and its rights, customs, and traditions. &#8220;Democracy&#8221; is code for The Swamp&#8217;s agenda that strengthens government control and screws over the average citizen. Using that definition, their rhetoric this week makes a lot more sense.

The Department of Justice said this month that it could not release records on Democrat technology aide Imran Awan due to &#8220;technical difficulties,” but later admitted in court documents that it could not release records on him because there is a secret ongoing case related to the matter.
&#8220;Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit Nov. 7, 2018, for 7,000 pages of Capitol Police records related to the cybersecurity investigation, and Aug. 2, the DOJ agreed to begin producing records by Nov. 5,&#8221; Daily Caller News Foundation investigative reporter Luke Rosiak <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2019/12/13/doj-imran-awan-records/">reported</a>. &#8220;That deadline came and went with no records being produced; on a Nov. 13 phone call, the DOJ said ‘technical difficulties’ had resulted in a delay, Judicial Watch stated in a court filing.&#8221;
In a newly released court filing, the Department of Justice <a href="https://www.judicialwatch.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/JW-v-DOJ-Awan-Status-Report-02563.pdf">wrote</a>:
<blockquote>Pursuant to an Order issued by the Honorable Tanya S. Chutkan, who is presiding over a related sealed criminal matter the Government is prohibited from disclosing certain information pursuant to formal and informal information request in this matter. The Government advised Judge Chutkan of the instant FOIA matter and sought clarification from Judge Chutkan concerning the Government’s permissible response in light of her Order in the sealed matter. Defendant received the clarification December 5, 2019, the date of this filing, that permitted Defendant to say the following: The Government is prohibited from disclosing any information pursuant to an Order issued by the Honorable Tanya S. Chutkan. &#8230;
&#8230;The “difficulties” in providing responsive material was due to the unexpected and unique set of facts described above that was out of the control of the Defendant. Defendant’s only motivation was to maintain the integrity of the sealed matter as much as possible, until the issuing Court provided guidance.</blockquote>
The DCNF noted that the DOJ had said it closed the investigation into Awan in 2018 in which Awan entered a plea deal where he pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud.
After the DOJ closed the case, President Donald Trump weighed in on the matter, tweeting, &#8220;Our Justice Department must not let Awan &amp; Debbie Wasserman Schultz off the hook. The Democrat I.T. scandal is a key to much of the corruption we see today. They want to make a &#8216;plea deal&#8217; to hide what is on their Server. Where is Server? Really bad!&#8221;

U.S. Attorney Benton Peterson told U.S. District Court Judge Amit P. Mehta, who is presiding over the FOIA lawsuit that was filed by Judicial Watch, that DOJ was set to release a &#8220;cache of documents,&#8221; but that he was informed of a &#8220;sealing order&#8221; in the case and that he &#8220;couldn&#8217;t discuss the sealing order.&#8221;
Mehta reportedly responded by acknowledging that “typically when criminal cases have concluded, the materials become public and I don’t know whether there’s any relationship between the judge’s order and that case … The seal Judge Chutkan has ordered, is that itself sealed?”
“That’s under seal as well,” Peterson responded.
&#8220;Court records that have since been erased suggest that far from prosecuting the Awans for new crimes, the &#8216;sealed&#8217; matter might be because Chutkan agreed to essentially expunge records related to Awan’s wife Hina Alvi — a request that was strongly opposed by the DOJ itself as unfounded and extraordinary,&#8221; The DCNF added. &#8220;Sometime in the past few months – as the FOIA lawsuit heated up – Chutkan appears to have belatedly granted the proposed seal or something similar. The proposed motion to seal and the government’s opposition are apparently gone from the court docket, and Alvi’s name has been removed – though all 80 documents pertaining to the Imran Awan case remain.&#8221;
Rosiak, who garnered significant national attention for his reporting on the Awan case at the DCNF, wrote in a separate <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2018/04/20/ig-pakistani-mystery-man-imran-awan/">report</a> a list of things to know about Awan. Here are some of the key points:

Democrats utter the word daily: Impeachment.
Almost from the day President Trump took office on January 20, 2017, leading Democrats have been crying wolf, claiming that the only way to keep America from swirling down the toilet is to forcibly remove him from office.
Rep. Maxine Waters, the 80-year-old California Democrat who has served nearly 30 years in Congress, significantly raised her profile by advocating the impeachment of Trump. She screamed it at rallies, at constituent meetings, and especially on liberal news networks.
“Impeachment is about whatever the Congress says it is. There is no law that dictates impeachment. What the Constitution says is ‘high crimes and misdemeanors,’ and we define that,” Waters said at a 2017 Congressional Black Caucus Town Hall on Civil Rights event. “Bill Clinton got impeached because he lied. Here you have a president, who I can tell you and guarantee you is in collusion with the Russians to undermine our democracy. Here you have a president who obstructed justice. And here you have a president who lies every day.”
That&#8217;s not what special counsel Robert Mueller said after a 22-month investigation into allegations of collusion and obstruction. After 2,800 subpoenas and 500 witness interviews, the counsel’s office found no evidence “that any U.S. person or Trump campaign official or associate” conspired or “knowingly coordinated” with Russians during the 2016 campaign. On obstruction, Mueller reached no conclusions and offered no recommendations.
But on and on the impeachment push went. Until Wednesday, when the whole thing came crashing down — again.
The House voted 332-95 to once again set aside an impeachment resolution from Rep. Al Green (D-TX). The resolution has failed to move forward twice before, on December 6, 2017, and on January 18, 2018, but this time Green added Trump&#8217;s &#8220;racist&#8221; comments as a new reason to impeach.
In a post on Twitter, Green went even further, saying &#8220;racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and Islamophobia can no longer be tolerated or ignored. We must impeach. #RacistPresident #ImpeachNow.&#8221; In a floor speech on Tuesday night, Green also said Trump&#8217;s comments &#8220;have legitimatized and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color.&#8221;
&#8220;Donald John Trump, by causing such harm to the society of the United States, is unfit to be president and warrants impeachment, trial and removal from office,&#8221; Green said.
Wednesday&#8217;s vote marked the first time that Democrats took the vote while controlling the House. But 137 Democrats voted to table the resolution.
The usual suspects voted against tabling the resolution, such as Waters and &#8220;progressive&#8221; Reps. Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts.
But some of the most vocal opponents of Trump tucked their tails between their legs and voted to stop the whole thing, including gadfly Rep. Adam Schiff and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sounded the death knell for the resolution before the vote on Wednesday when she said she&#8217;d rather keep her party focused on legislative issues. “We have six committees who are working on following the facts,” she said. “That is the serious path that we are on.”
On Thursday, Pelosi was even more dismissive of the impeachment and condemnation resolution. “We’re getting rid of all this right now,” the California Democrat said.
And Pelosi knows what she&#8217;s doing. She knows that there are dozens of Democrats in the House from districts in which Trump won in 2016, so supporting his impeachment might end their political careers.
For his part, Green said he still thinks he won.
“In my opinion, it didn’t fail,” Green said. “But whether we get 95 or 5, the point is we have to make a statement to the American people.”
For the record, when a resolution goes down 332-95 — with 137 members of your own party rejecting it — that&#8217;s a loss.
A big loss.

CURL: Democrats All Bark No Bite On Impeaching Trump As Effort Fails Yet Again

On Thursday, the 56-year-old Florida man charged with sending pipe bombs in the mail to numerous high-profile Democrat officials and left-wing media outlets pleaded guilty.
The man sent a spate of pipe bombs via the U.S. Postal Service in October targeting the likes of former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, Democrat mega-donor George Soros, actor Robert De Niro, former President Barack Obama, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-CA), and CNN, among others.
According to the <a href="http://apnews.com/3f78ede2730b4deb8ddd83d46e6d6721?utm_medium=AP&amp;utm_source=Twitter&amp;utm_campaign=SocialFlow">Associated Press</a>, the attempted bomber pleaded guilty in front of a federal judge in Manhattan to sending explosives to 16 targets.
The bomber &#8220;reportedly started to cry as he pleaded guilty to 65 counts &#8212; including &#8216;use of a weapon of mass destruction and illegal mailing of explosives with intent to kill,'&#8221; <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/maga-mail-bomber-cesar-sayoc-pleads-guilty">noted</a> The Daily Beast.
&#8220;In October 2018 I made devices that were designed to look like pipe bombs and sent them in the mail,&#8221; he confessed. &#8220;I know these actions were wrong and I&#8217;m extremely sorry.&#8221;
The would-be bomber was living in a van before his arrest in October outside a South Florida auto parts shop. The vehicle was covered with seemingly hundreds of political bumper stickers, some of which were pro-President Donald Trump and others had crosshairs over Democrats&#8217; faces.

Thankfully, no one was hurt by the so-called &#8220;mail bomber.&#8221;
In the summer of 2017, in another act of politically motivated terrorism, a gunman opened fire on Republican congressmen at an Alexandria, Virginia, baseball field. Four people on the field were hurt during the shooting before U.S. Capitol Police shot the man dead.
Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was the most critically injured, shot in the left hip. &#8220;As the bullet traveled across his body, it broke bones, tore up internal organs and caused major internal bleeding,&#8221; <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/14/us/steve-scalise-congress-shot-alexandria-virginia.html">noted</a> The New York Times. Scalise, thankfully, made a miraculous recovery.
The man was later found to have had a list of names of ultra-conservative Republican members of Congress in his pocket at the time of the attack, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/scalise-shooter-james-hodgkinson-had-list-of-republican-lawmakers-names">reported</a>:

‘Mail Bomber’ Pleads Guilty To Sending High-Profile Dems Pipe Bombs, Offers Statement Of Regret

On Friday, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), immediately preceding chair of the Democratic National Committee, took to the pages of <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2019/01/18/debbie-wasserman-schultz-linda-sarsour-tamika-mallory-farrakhan-column/2602396002/">USA Today</a> to excoriate the Washington Women&#8217;s March and explain why she will not be joining marchers this year.
Wasserman Schultz explained that her decision had to do with the Women&#8217;s March&#8217;s refusal to repudiate and distance itself from those peddling anti-Semitism:

Today, sadly, I must walk away from the national Women&#8217;s March organization, and specifically its leadership.
While I still firmly believe in its values and mission, I cannot associate with the national march&#8217;s leaders and principles, which refuse to completely repudiate anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry. I cannot walk shoulder to shoulder with leaders who lock arms with outspoken peddlers of hate.
Instead, this weekend, I will join a movement of women around the nation who are participating in local marches that have distanced themselves from those national Women&#8217;s March leaders who still ally with bigotry.

Wasserman Schultz is one of the most prominent Jewish Democrats in the country. She was the first Jewish U.S. House representative elected from Florida and, as the preceding chair of the Democratic National Committee, was the public face of the Democratic Party for over five years &#8212; including most of the 2016 election.
Wasserman Schultz&#8217;s repudiation of the Women&#8217;s March comes <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/42199/report-democratic-national-committee-has-dropped-emily-zanotti">three days after</a> the Democratic National Committee pulled its own institutional support.
Wasserman Schultz <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2019/01/18/debbie-wasserman-schultz-linda-sarsour-tamika-mallory-farrakhan-column/2602396002/">continued</a>:

The initial march took place on January 21, 2017, the day following President Trump&#8217;s inauguration, in which somewhere between <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/womens-march-anti-donald-trump-womens-rights-largest-protest-demonstration-us-history-political-a7541081.html">3.3 million and 4.6 million</a> marchers participated across the nation. However, since then, March leaders Linda Sarsour, Tamika Mallory, and Carmen Perez have continually been dogged by accusations of anti-Semitism.

We all know that our nation is politically divided between conservatives and blithering snowflakes in the grip of an inchoate ideology that serves as a mask for their self-righteous emotionalism. But when someone tries to hijack our national political conversation with violence, all Americans of good will come together to blame the other side.
Police have intercepted several pipe bombs that were mailed to high profile far-left figures such as George Soros, Barack Obama and CNN. The bombs came with the return address of Democrat congresswoman and general screechy pants Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
Now, of course, the police are searching for the culprit, but far be it from our elite political commentators to wait around for some working class flatfoot to root out the actual doer before they start pontificating on how their political opponents are in some way to blame.
Left-wing Professor Ludwig Von Offal, for instance, took time off from teaching his class on Advanced Progressive Ideology at Harvard, to pen an essay for the Academic Journal Intellectual Currents which read in part, &#8220;Orange man bad. Orange man evil. Orange man come and women weep and all the crops die. Racist Orange man. Racist Hitler. Man is woman. Black is white. White is bad. Anti-gay racist orange man very white and bad like Hitler.&#8221;
On the right, there have been several attempts to demonstrate that the bomber is actually a left winger. One random Twitter guy whose handle is One Random Twitter Guy, tweeted, &#8220;Such an obvious false flag. The bomber is clearly a leftist trying to seem like a right winger so David Brock can convince Jack Dorsey to shut down conservative Twitter accounts.&#8221; One Random Twitter Guy then pulled off his full face mask to reveal he actually was David Brock pretending to be a right wing Twitter guy so he could convince Jack Dorsey to shut down conservative Twitter accounts.
Meanwhile, in all the confusion, Debbie Wasserman Schultz has escaped.

KLAVAN: America Is United In Blaming The Other Guy [Satire]

Authorities now say they have <a href="https://edition.cnn.com/politics/live-news/clintons-obama-suspicious-packages/h_b215a0b31750a9f48e8bcf3ef4ad884f?utm_source=twCNNi&amp;utm_content=2018-10-24T16%3A47%3A14&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_term=link">intercepted a fifth suspicious package</a>, this time at the offices of former DNC Chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL). The package was addressed to former Attorney General Eric Holder.
Law enforcement officials descended on Wasserman Schultz&#8217;s Florida office early Wednesday, just as news was breaking that suspicious packages had been intercepted in both New York and Washington, D.C., addressed to former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama.
The fifth package was addressed to former Attorney General Eric Holder, but was reportedly delivered to Wasserman Schultz because it was listed as &#8220;undeliverable&#8221; by the US Postal Service and returned to sender. Wasserman Schultz&#8217;s Florida office was listed as the return address.
The suspected bomber apparently mailed Holder&#8217;s package to the wrong address.

The Daily Wire reported earlier that authorities believe all five attempted bombings are connected, and that all five packages share similar characteristics: the suspicious devices were wrapped in manila paper, contained most of the same components, were mailed using stamps, and all five listed Debbie Wasserman Schultz&#8217;s Florida office as the return address. All of the devices &#8220;appear to be working explosives,&#8221; <a href="https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/national-international/Bomb-Hillary-Clinton-House-Chappaqua-New-York-George-Soros-498411611.html">according to a local NBC affiliate</a> in Washington, D.C..
Authorities are reporting only one key difference in the packages so far: the package destined for Democratic mega-donor George Soros, which appeared at his New York home on Tuesday before the other packages arrived at offices and Secret Service screening facilities, <a href="https://www.knoe.com/content/news/Pipe-bomb-hand-delivered-to-George-Soros-mailbox-authorities-say-498363381.html">was reportedly hand-delivered</a> and placed in a &#8220;wooded area&#8221; near Soros&#8217;s home, where it was discovered by a member of the household staff.
The four other packages were mailed.
Two packages &#8212; the ones destined for Clinton and Obama &#8212; were intercepted by the Secret Service. Neither Clinton nor Obama has mail delivered directly to their homes; the Secret Service screens their mail at offsite facilities before delivery.
&#8220;The packages were immediately identified during routine mail screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled as such,&#8221; Secret Service said in a statement. &#8220;Both packages were intercepted prior to being delivered to their intended location. The protectees did not receive the packages nor were they at risk of receiving them.&#8221;
One package, sent to CNN&#8217;s New York offices in the Time Warner Center in New York City, arrived at its destination but was addressed to former CIA director John Brennan, who is a contributing reporter at MSNBC, not CNN. The NYPD evacuated CNN&#8217;s New York studios and most of Columbus Circle while they swept for additional suspicious items.
Authorities in Florida told local media that no one was hurt by the fifth device. Wasserman Schultz&#8217;s office was evacuated as soon as the device was discovered.

Four suspicious packages sent to prominent Democrats &#8211; and CNN &#8211; all contained the same return address, law enforcement officials said.
Suspicious packages were intercepted before they reached former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Another package was discovered in CNN&#8217;s New York City bureau mailroom. A fourth package <a href="https://wsvn.com/news/local/police-respond-to-suspicious-package-sent-office-of-rep-debbie-wasserman-schultz/">was discovered</a> at Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz&#8217;s (D-FL) Sunrise, FL, office.
The packages all had one odd thing in common: The return addresses <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/suspicious-package-found-near-new-york-home-bill-hillary-clinton-n923816">belonged to Wasserman Schultz</a>, law enforcement officials told NBC.

It seems unlikely that Wasserman Schultz is behind the suspicious packages.
Wasserman Schultz was the former head of the Democratic National Committee while Obama was president.
CNN earlier reported that a fifth package was addressed to the White House, but this <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/37534/breaking-suspicious-package-headed-white-house-hank-berrien">turned out to be incorrect</a>. Earlier in the week, however, an explosive device was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/37494/explosive-device-found-home-george-soros-ashe-schow">found in the mailbox</a> of liberal billionaire George Soros&#8217; home.
