One of the most common questions I get as the CEO of Our Rescue is: “Does child exploitation and sex trafficking really happen here?” 
I often reply, if you ask any law enforcement officer working sex trafficking and child exploitation cases, they’ll tell you the same thing: “The biggest mistake people make is thinking this crime doesn’t happen at home, in our communities, in the United States. It does. And it’s everywhere.”
Worldwide, there are nearly 50 million people trapped in modern slavery, according to the International Labor Organization. In 2024, the Global Tips Report showed that the number of children being trafficked had increased 31% in 2022 compared to 2019, with a 38% rise recorded for girls. Before I joined Our Rescue, I spent my career at Homeland Security Investigations — leading complex efforts to combat human trafficking and child exploitation and spearheading the creation of the DHS Center for Countering Human Trafficking, the first unified, inter-agency coordination center dedicated to combating trafficking in all forms. And I can tell you, everyday law enforcement officers uncover cases of children and adults being groomed, recruited, coerced, or even sold in our own communities. The victims are not just statistics; they are neighbors, classmates, and children whose lives are being stolen in plain sight.
But beyond these trafficking cases, another fast-growing threat is here in the U.S. — the online sexual exploitation of children. Technology has opened new frontiers for predators and organized criminal groups, making it easier than ever to target American kids in their own homes.

The scale of child sexual exploitation in the United States is staggering. In 2024 alone, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline received over 20.5 million reports of suspected child sexual exploitation. These reports included more than 62.9 million files of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). This is not just a statistic; it represents real images, videos, and other materials depicting children enduring unimaginable harm.
Mike Prado, who heads the Cyber Crimes Center (C3) at Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), put it plainly: “This is no longer just about lone offenders. Today, organized criminal groups overseas are running sextortion schemes that deliberately target American children for profit.” Operations out of places like West Africa have pushed kids in America into such despair that some have taken their own lives within hours of first contact. That is the new face of exploitation. And it’s happening in U.S. households. Every. Single. Day.
The game has changed. “Now these offenders have access to the same technology that the government has,” Prado told me. “They don’t have to go to MIT. They don’t have to have a computer science degree to figure this stuff out.”
Two decades ago, law enforcement relied on basic email for victim identification. Smartphones weren’t widely available, the darknet was barely in use, and exploiting technology required computer science expertise. Today, both predators and our children can figure out these tools with ease. Technology is everywhere, and every device a child receives, whether for school or learning, can become a portal into the darker areas of the internet. According to a 2019 Kaspersky study, 84% of parents worldwide are worried about their children’s online safety. Yet also according to the study, on average, parents only spend a total of 46 minutes talking to their children about online security throughout their entire childhood. Ignoring that is a luxury we can’t afford anymore.
While law enforcement and government investment in combating exploitation have increased over the years, there is still much more to do to stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated offenders.
The core challenge is sheer scale. Every success is quickly met with new cases, and for every criminal network taken down overseas, another takes its place. It is the demand for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in the U.S. that keeps this cycle in motion.

In 2024, reports involving generative artificial intelligence (AI) increased by 1,325%, highlighting how technology is being weaponized against our children. Additionally, reports of online enticement, including sextortion, rose by 192%, with nearly 100 reports of financial sextortion per day. Since 2021, NCMEC has been aware of at least 36 teenage boys who have taken their lives due to this crime.
The problem is not just the number of cases but the sophistication of the predators and the overwhelming volume of reports. In 2024, NCMEC assisted law enforcement with 29,568 cases of missing children and helped bring 91% of them home. However, the risks, especially online, are becoming more complex and widespread.
But I believe that partnerships are the key to changing the tide in this fight. Just this year, the inaugural Interstate Justice Coalition surge operation (coordinated between Our Rescue, We Fight Monsters, and Skull Games Solutions and in partnership with local law enforcement agencies) spanned across Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, resulting in the identification of 32 trafficking victims, the safe recovery of 26 survivors, and the arrest of 15 traffickers.
It’s work like this — collaboration between law enforcement, nonprofits, communities, and individuals is what ultimately keeps children safe. One year ago, Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh asked a question that most Americans dared not say out loud: “Am I racist?”
That simple yet provocative question became the title of his documentary, which helped to expose the grift of America’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) industry. What began as a satirical inquiry quickly evolved into a defining cultural moment. 
A year after “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/am-i-racist">Am I Racist?</a>” was released on DailyWire+, it remains one of the most significant and successful pieces of documentary filmmaking in recent history. The film continues to expose hypocrisy, invite reflection, and shake up the status quo like never before.

When the film premiered last fall, fans were delighted with the unexpected humor that came from simply exposing lies. “Am I Racist?” took the DEI movement’s own language, placed it under a microscope, and dared to ask if the people profiting from America’s obsession with race were really solving anything at all.
Walsh interviewed well-known DEI advocates such as Saira Rao and Robin DiAngelo. Some of the comments made by the race-obsessed activists would almost be unbelievable if they hadn’t been filmed and turned into a documentary for the world to see. 
In one scene, Walsh, sporting a man bun, convinces DiAngelo that she had a “powerful opportunity” to display her commitment to anti-racism by giving his black producer, Ben, money from her purse.
Another scene features Rao lecturing her “Race to Dinner” guests about how racist they are. In his disguise, Walsh joins the conversation and makes some hilariously ridiculous remarks that the guests go along with. Rao later called “Am I Racist?” a “fascist Nazi white supremacy film.”

That premise struck a chord not only with conservatives, but also with a surprising number of viewers across the political spectrum who recognized the absurdity of the movement.
The results spoke for themselves. “Am I Racist?” became the top-grossing documentary of the past decade, earning over $12 million domestically after it hit theaters a month before its release on DailyWire+. Critics largely refused to review it, yet audiences responded by watching it anyway. It was one of only 15 documentaries ever to open in over 1,500 theaters and earned the third-highest opening day gross for a documentary in the last decade.
“Am I Racist?” was predictably snubbed from the Oscar shortlist despite the film’s record-breaking box office success and massive cultural influence. 
The film’s near-perfect audience score coupled with a conspicuous silence from the mainstream press only proved Walsh’s point. While regular people were ready to have an honest conversation about race, power, and the industry profiting on outrage, the mainstream media who had been supporting this nonsense wasn’t ready to take a look in the mirror.
The film’s success wasn’t an accident. It’s proof that when you strip away buzzwords, Americans still crave truth more than comforting lies.That statement holds up even more today.
Twelve months later, the same institutions satirized in “Am I Racist?” are deeply entrenched in many cases, but slowly people are starting to wake up. While DEI initiatives remain fixtures in corporate and academic life, there have also been <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dei-focused-teams-hit-hardest-in-mass-nbc-news-layoffs">mass layoffs</a> and elimination of entire departments devoted to identity politics. Even the White House clamped down on DEI being pushed in the federal government and at public schools and universities after President Donald Trump was sworn into office earlier this year.
Walsh’s approach was unorthodox but effective. He didn’t lecture; he listened. He attended DEI training sessions, spoke directly with self-proclaimed “experts,” and treated their jargon with seriousness, allowing the experts to prove out their ineptitude onscreen. Walsh wasn’t mocking them. He was giving them a platform to express their beliefs and letting the results speak for themselves.  
The genius of the documentary lay in its tone. The humor served a purpose as it helped to reveal how the modern language of “anti-racism” often conceals deeper contradictions. What Walsh uncovered was not an effort to heal division, but a lucrative enterprise that profits from keeping it alive.
In January, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/now-streaming-clearing-the-a-i-r-the-making-of-am-i-racist">released</a> “Clearing the A.I.R.: The Making of Am I Racist?,” a companion film that pulls back the curtain on how a deceptively simple question became one of the year’s most challenging cultural commentaries. Those behind-the-scenes insights only deepened public appreciation for the documentary’s impact, not merely as entertainment, but as a jumping off point for a cultural movement.
What distinguishes “Am I Racist” from other documentaries is its refusal to moralize. Walsh does not tell the viewer what to think. Instead, he shows them the DEI industry operating in real time and allows viewers to draw their own conclusions.
That restraint is rare in modern media, and it’s part of why the film continues to resonate. At its core, “Am I Racist?” isn’t just about race, and it’s not a political statement either. It’s about discovering the truth and refusing to be quiet. 
The first anniversary of “Am I Racist?” marks more than a milestone for The Daily Wire or for Matt Walsh’s filmography. It represents a pivotal shift in how the public tackles big ideas that progressive institutions have taken for granted far too long.
The DEI establishment will not vanish overnight, nor will the culture wars end anytime soon. But “Am I Racist?” has shown what’s possible when conservative filmmakers aren’t afraid to ask the questions you’re not allowed to ask.

Even abortion advocates want to distance themselves from Planned Parenthood&#8217;s founder. In 2020, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York announced the removal of Sanger’s name from the Manhattan Health Center.

Brown then takes her viewers back in time 60 years, to when the Communist Party of the United States “actually read into the Congressional Record their&#8230;goals for how to destroy America as they knew it.”
Reading through the 45 goals — which include taking control of the schools, fomenting student riots, and discrediting the Constitution — Brown says it’s “eerie how much it feels like you’re reading a description of the society we live in today.”
The Communists also pushed to “discredit the family as an institution” and “eliminate prayer” from schools and the public consciousness.
“Tell me all of this is not a direct play by play of everything we’re living through today in our broken society!” Brown says.
“The tough truth that’s an incredibly hard pill to swallow is this: they won,” Brown says. “They resoundingly succeeded in bringing every single one of those goals to fruition, and they were incredibly open about it right in front of our faces while generations that came before us probably giggled and said there&#8217;s no way that will ever happen.”
But Brown sees hope in her generation.
“Newsweek magazine recently reported that 93% of current college students still want to get married, even in a culture screaming at them that marriage is an outdated concept. Over 80% of us plan on starting our own businesses within the next five years instead of slaving away for a woke CEO.”

It’s that time of year again – parents are making their annual trip to Staples to fulfill comically-specific school supply lists while kids devour ice pops and plead for just one more week of late bedtimes.
But while back-to-school season is mostly advertised as a chance to go shopping, it can also be an opportunity to set your kids up for something that lasts longer than a Jansport backpack. For parents seeking deeper connections this season, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson has some advice.
The renowned clinical psychologist’s DailyWire+ series “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/parenting" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Parenting</a>” has advice for parents and children of all ages. In a world where kids are more likely to hear about gender identity than personal responsibility in the classroom, Peterson’s advice is needed now more than ever.
So, if you’re looking to do more this fall than search TikTok for artful Bento boxes, here are five pieces of back-to-school wisdom from Dr. Peterson.
<h3>Teach kids real self-worth, not fake self-esteem.</h3>
In today’s classroom, your child is more likely to be told they’re perfect “just the way they are” than encouraged to act in ways that merit the description. Peterson cuts straight through that lie in “Parenting.”
“The school system does a lot of false self-esteem training. ‘You should feel good about yourself, no matter who you are.’ First of all, that’s rubbish,” He states. Peterson reminds parents that yes, every child has intrinsic worth, but cautions that they need to learn that self-respect comes from responsibility.
“A lot of how you should feel about yourself is conditional, like are you a useless scoundrel causing trouble for everyone? Or are you pulling your weight? And if you’re pulling your weight and doing what you should, then you should have some reasonable regard for yourself. And that’s a way more stable basis for self-esteem,” he advises.
<h3>Stop doing everything for your kids.</h3>
Packing their backpacks, double-checking their homework folders, and solving every argument: these are all things parents do with good intentions. But, according to Peterson, that “help” might be doing more harm than good.
“Don’t do anything for anyone that they can do themselves,” he says.
“When you spoil a child, so to speak, what you do is you take away from them the opportunity to develop their own competence by doing too many things for them,” Peterson explains. “And what that means is that they stay overgrown children. And you might say, ‘Well, what’s wrong with that? Doesn’t it mean that I love them?’ It doesn’t mean that at all. It means that you are so conflict-averse or so afraid of losing them because they become independent and go away that you were interfering with their development.”
<h3>Nurture their passions</h3>
With busy schedules and endless distractions, it’s easy to miss subtle clues about what holds your child’s interest. But Peterson urges parents to notice the things that light them up.
“Many of the people that I’ve spoken to who’ve been extremely successful in later life found something they were interested in early and had parents who noticed their interest and fed it,” he says.
Whether it’s music, math, or making elaborate forts out of cardboard, your child’s interests are the seeds that can sprout into a purposeful life. Back-to-school time can be the perfect season to ignite that passion.
<h3>Don’t be afraid to have hard conversations.</h3>
Most parents sense when something’s off, but fear keeps them from digging deeper. Peterson challenges that instinct and insists that bringing up tough topics early makes them easier to handle in the long run.
“You can tell your kid, ‘Look, it might be an unpleasant conversation that we have to have, but I’m on your side and would like to get to the bottom of this,’” he says.
Back-to-school time can surface stress, fear, or even bigger issues. He tells parents not to choose silence, but instead to listen, love, and lead children on the right path.
And in the end, you’re teaching kids the vital life skill of resilience. “Tragedy comes to everyone,” Peterson says. “It’s necessary, and possible, to help your children and yourself optimize yours and their resilience in the face of life’s difficulties.
<h3>Give kids structure and rules, no matter what.</h3>
Want your child to feel safe? Endless choices aren’t the answer. Ultimately, boundaries are better.
“One of the ways you make your kids secure is by having a set of rules that don’t change no matter what,” Peterson says.
This structure, paired with predictable routines, creates what Peterson calls “islands of stability,” which are essential in times of change. “By putting down the rules and enforcing them carefully and thoroughly, you make your kids way more secure,” he says.

Pyfer, whose longtime dream was to make it into the UFC, got his chance after making his way onto “Dana White’s Contender Series” in 2020, but he lost his fight against Dustin Stoltzfus in a technical knockout after he broke his elbow. Two years later, Pyfer got another shot at the “Contender Series” and the UFC. 
“Going into the second one, I had to battle depression. I would say that was my last stint of being a victim because I had struggled with a little bit of suicide problems, things like that. And I think I just was unappreciative of the journey that I was on,” Pyfer said in an interview with Morning Wire. 
“And I think that&#8217;s where you can become a victim. You can start to feel sorry for yourself. Things like that,” he added. “I couldn&#8217;t see the light at the end of the tunnel. They told me when I first broke my elbow that I was done fighting. I&#8217;d never fight again, because if I throw a punch, the impact could literally dislocate my elbow.” 
In his journey, Pyfer dealt with homelessness, a toxic relationship with his father, and numerous injuries. But he never gave up on his UFC dream. 
“I’ve taken a lot of pain, I’ve had a lot of hurt, I’ve had a lot of depression, I’ve taken a lot of abuse, I’ve had a lot of doubts,” Pyfer says in the documentary. “But one thing has always stood true and that is I’m going to show that I’m somebody that never gave up.”
