Tennessee leaders made clear that the state values the nuclear family far more than any leftist virtue signaling.
Republican Governor Bill Lee signed a resolution on April 9 designating June as “Nuclear Family Month.” For years, June has been known as Pride Month, when numerous businesses and organizations celebrate every sexuality except heterosexuality and lecture Americans about “acceptance” and “diversity.”
But this year, Tennessee has made June all about traditional families and made clear that the “nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God’s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world.”
The resolution also takes a sledgehammer to the leftist pet projects of population control, and instead, prioritizes the growth and development of the traditional family in Tennessee.
“Tennessee’s values do not align with the humanistic, globalist ideologies of the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and like-minded organizations that fight for population control through the means of promoting sterilization and abortion practices,” the Tennessee resolution continues, adding, “The nuclear family is under attack in our beloved State and nation, and it is our responsibility to uplift, protect, and support values that help Tennessee prosper.”
Of course, leftists were not happy with Tennessee after Governor Lee signed the resolution. LGBT activists raged against the language put forward in the resolution, giving Tennesseans one more reason to celebrate what makes their state so great.
Tennessee’s traditional, family-oriented resolution sets the tone for a state that has led the nation in pushing back against radical leftist gender ideology. In the past few years, Tennessee — the home of The Daily Wire — has banned life-altering gender procedures on children, prohibited schools from hiding children’s gender “transitions” from parents, prevented boys from competing in girls sports, and ensuring that girls don’t have to share bathrooms and locker rooms with boys who believe they are the opposite sex.

A soap company that boasts of its organic products has gone all in on pushing transgenderism.
Dr. Bronner’s, the company that makes “Magic Soap,” believes that men and women can magically switch their genders, and it has an <a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/author/transrights/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entire team</a> made up of “trans and nonbinary employees” who are dedicated to making “funding decisions for Dr. Bronner’s trans rights funding portfolio.”
In late March, the soap company <a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/2026/03/trans-day/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">honored</a> “Trans Day of Visibility” and condemned the Trump administration and conservative states that have imposed policies and passed laws to protect children and women from harmful trans-affirming practices.
While the majority of Americans have no idea when “Trans Day of Visibility” is or why it’s even on some calendars, Dr. Bronner’s dedicated nearly 800 words on its website to celebrating the obscure LGBT holiday. The company also directed readers to eight LGBT advocacy organizations, including organizations that push for gender procedures on children.
“Trans lives in America and beyond are more vulnerable than ever due to rightwing governments’ attacks on human rights, efforts to erase trans and nonbinary people from civic participation, and the increasing obstacles to accessing healthcare, public services, and public spaces,” the company <a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/2026/03/trans-day/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a>. “Dr. Bronner’s is proud to support trans-led organizations that are dedicated to trans liberation, both locally and nationally.”
Among those organizations supported by Dr. Bronner’s was the Trans Youth Emergency Project, which <a href="https://southernequality.org/tyep/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exists</a> to help parents find access to life-altering gender procedures for their gender-confused children. Another group highlighted by the soap company was TransFamily Support Services, which <a href="https://transfamilysos.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says</a> that it guides gender-confused children and their families to navigate the health care and insurance systems in their quest for gender surgeries.
“Since the change in administration in January 2025, trans rights have decreased dramatically, particularly in the realm of access to public spaces and healthcare. Last year America broke its own record for the sixth consecutive year in number of anti-trans legislation on the federal and state level,” Dr. Bronner’s “Trans Rights Funding Team” <a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/2026/03/trans-day/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>.
The company also condemned the Trump administration for working to prevent trans-identifying men from competing against women, including at the Olympics.

Warner Bros. really ticked off Tolkien fans when they dropped a bombshell so outrageous that it had people double-checking to make sure it wasn’t a Babylon Bee headline.

The internet lost its collective mind when the studio announced that Colbert was attached as co-writer to a project no one asked for. The late-night host is currently wrapping up his 11-year run as the face of “The Late Show” and is bitter as hell on his way out, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/stephen-colbert-throws-hissy-fit-over-cbs-enforcing-equal-time-rule-nixing-dem-candidate-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">talking smack</a> on President Trump and conservatives. His fifteen viewers will confirm that this is nothing new. But the rhetoric is even more vicious now that he’s got nothing to lose.
And now, somehow, Colbert’s study of and professed love for Tolkien scored him a place at the writer’s table for “Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past.” Film director Peter Jackson <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lord-of-the-rings-just-got-handed-over-to-a-trump-hating-late-night-host" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dropped that bomb</a> on fans last month.
“You know what the books mean to me, and what your films mean to me,” Colbert told Jackson during the video announcement, attempting to justify his place in Tolkien’s realm.
“But the thing I found myself reading over and over again were the six chapters early on in [‘The Fellowship of the Ring’] that y’all never developed into the first movie back in the day. It’s basically the chapter ‘Three Is Company’ [Chapter III] through ‘Fog on the Barrow-Downs’ [Chapter VIII]. And I thought, ‘Oh, wait, maybe that could be its own story that could fit into the larger story. Could we make something that was completely faithful to the books while also being completely faithful to the movies that you guys had already made?’”
Colbert said that he and his son, screenwriter Peter McGee, have been working with Jackson on the project for two years.
The show’s description says, “Fourteen years after the passing of Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin set out to retrace the first steps of their adventure. Meanwhile, Sam’s daughter, Elanor, has discovered a long-buried secret and is determined to uncover why the War of the Ring was very nearly lost before it even began.”
Fans were shocked by Colbert’s inclusion, with one reaction summing up the overall feelings nicely. &#8220;Just because someone knows everything about another writer&#8217;s work doesn&#8217;t make them a writer. Or director, or anything even remotely related to making a film,&#8221; one Reddit user <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/stephen-colbert-lord-of-the-rings-movie-fan-reaction-11735627" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>. &#8220;They&#8217;ve essentially given the reins over to a fanfiction guy; this will be hot garbage.”
The frustration is about Colbert, sure, but it’s also about trusting Hollywood to tread with care when handling a treasured, unapologetically Christian morality based project. Social media users joked about Colbert including DEI side quests and dancing syringes, which is technically possible from such a devoted progressive. However, even if the virtue signaling winds up being a little subtler, there’s still a lot of ways a late-night comedian can screw this up.

A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/majority-of-voters-back-trumps-operation-epic-fury-view-iran-as-threat-to-global-peace" target="_blank" rel="noopener">survey</a> of 1,800 likely voters found that most of the American public is on board with the joint U.S.-Israeli mission to wipe out the authoritarian regime.
The poll shows that 56% of likely voters support the United States taking out Iranian leadership, while 63% agree with targeting Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile sites. Nearly 70% of respondents, meanwhile, agree with the Trump administration’s argument that Iran is a “threat to global peace and democracy,” and 76% agree that “if Iran built a nuclear weapon, [it] would pose a direct threat to the United States.”
On Tuesday, Trump explained to reporters in the Oval Office that Iran could have “taken out many countries.”
“If we didn’t do what we’re doing right now, you would’ve had a nuclear war and they would’ve taken out many countries because you know what? They’re sick people. They’re mentally ill, sick people. They’re angry. They’re crazy. They’re sick,” the president said.

Bonsignore worked 31 years for Emergency Medical Services and served as the FDNY’s EMS Operations chief during the COVID pandemic. She retired in 2022 and will be coming out of retirement to serve as the FDNY’s chief.
“It was a little hard [to come out of retirement], it’s a hard decision, but I’m looking forward to it, I’m happy to do it,” she said.
The previous FDNY commissioner, Robert Tucker, announced that he would step down from the position shortly after Mamdani won the mayoral election. Tucker’s final day on the job was December 19.
