Late Saturday evening, the 42-year-old officer and his friend were sitting in Fort Washington Park in Manhattan when two men approached them on a moped. One man walked up to the officer and shot him multiple times in the face and arm. The officer&#8217;s friend was uninjured. The officer shot back, injuring the perpetrator in the leg and groin area, causing him and his accomplice to drive off.
Noem and Homan condemned New York City&#8217;s sanctuary city policies during Monday&#8217;s press conference, saying they made this kind of crime possible by allowing criminals to remain in the country. Noem said she was &#8220;calling on every single mayor in a sanctuary city and sanctuary city governor to change their policies and to change their tactics right now.&#8221;
Homan confirmed her sentiment, <a href="https://x.com/FoxNews/status/1947296175129768370" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a> that &#8220;Sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals.&#8221; Homan also reaffirmed the Trump administration&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-admin-hits-los-angeles-with-lawsuit-after-violent-anti-ice-riots?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Trump+Admin+Hits+Los+Angeles+With+Lawsuit+After+Violent+Anti-ICE+Riots" target="_blank" rel="noopener">policy</a> to target sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, which has led to the arrest of thousands in cities like Los Angeles.
President Donald Trump wrote in a <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/1947018535378501871" target="_blank" rel="noopener">post</a> Sunday following the incident that &#8220;The Democrats have flooded our Nation with Criminal Invaders, and now, they must all be thrown out.&#8221;
&#8220;We should not be here today. The reason these two assailants are inside the United States today is because of failed border policies by the Biden administration,&#8221; CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/noem-visit-cbp-agent-shot-new-york-city-sanctuary-city-policies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> at a press conference Monday.
Noem <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/1947294261537374356" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that the officer and his friend &#8220;were attacked by two individuals that were set on robbing them and, thankfully, he had his service weapon with him and was able to defend himself and his friend.&#8221; She added that &#8220;His quick action speaks to his tenacity and his excellence in training.&#8221;
Noem and Homan recently visited the injured officer, who is in a stable condition.
The suspect, Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, was taken into custody after he limped into a New York City hospital with wounds similar to those inflicted by the officer late Saturday night. The second suspect, Christhian Aybar-Berroa — also a citizen of the Dominican Republic — was taken into custody Monday morning, Noem <a href="https://x.com/Sec_Noem/status/1947300919432905079" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a>.
Nunez&#8217;s criminal <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/07/21/second-criminal-illegal-alien-lengthy-rap-sheet-arrested-involvement-ambush-and" target="_blank" rel="noopener">record</a> lists grand larceny, assault, criminal contempt, and armed robbery with a firearm, all of which occurred between October 2023 and February 2025. Aybar-Berroa&#8217;s record includes reckless endangerment, grand larceny, and reckless driving.
Noem wrote in a post Monday that the second suspect, Aybar-Berroa, &#8220;entered the country illegally in 2022 under the Biden Administration and was ordered for final removed [sic] in 2023 by an immigration judge. He has a criminal record in New York City and detainers were IGNORED thanks to <a href="https://x.com/ericadamsfornyc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@ericadamsfornyc</a> sanctuary city policies.&#8221;

An illegal alien who was released by the Biden administration was involved in the shooting of a Customs and Border Protection officer in New York City on Saturday, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). 
The department announced on Sunday that two suspects, including one illegal alien, shot the federal immigration officer during an apparent attempted robbery. The officer is hospitalized in stable condition, DHS said in a social media post. 
“On the evening of July 19, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer was shot in what looks like an attempted robbery,” DHS posted on X. “The officer, who was off duty at the time, is currently in the hospital in stable condition. One of the alleged perpetrators was an illegal alien with prior arrests for felony 2nd and 3rd degree assault and an order of deportation.”

The incident is currently being investigated by the New York City Police Department. 
Local news outlets <a href="https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/national-international/off-duty-border-patrol-officer-shot-face-nyc-park/3793606/">reported</a> that the 42-year-old officer was shot in the face and arm at Fort Washington Park in Manhattan just before midnight. According to NBC New York, the officer exchanged gunfire with the suspects as the attempted robbery took place. One of the suspects was taken into custody, the outlet reported.
The department identified one of the suspects, Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, as a citizen of the Dominican Republic who was released into the country by the Biden administration after he was apprehended on April 4, 2023, crossing the border near San Luis, Arizona.
Tricia McLaughlin, the assistant secretary for Homeland Security, <a href="https://x.com/TriciaOhio/status/1946988101127032918" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that the suspect had a warrant for kidnapping from Massachusetts and was first ordered deported in 2003. 
The department also released footage of the incident. In the footage, two people can be seen arriving near a body of water on a motorcycle. One gets off the motorcycle and walks towards another on an embankment before opening fire. The two individuals then drive off on the motorcycle.

For instance, in Arkansas, Jennifer Ann Morton, a nurse in Little Rock, was tragically killed by an illegal immigrant who was driving while drunk. In Michigan, Ruby Garcia was just 25 years old when she was shot to death by an illegal immigrant and left on the side of a highway. We owe it to the memory of these innocent Americans to do all we can to prevent senseless, horrific crimes from happening again.
President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans have made it a priority to close the border, stop the invasion, and enforce the law without hesitation. Since taking office earlier this year, Trump has deported hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, designated ruthless gangs — such as Tren de Aragua and MS-13 — as foreign terrorist organizations, and resumed border wall construction.
Nationwide encounters of illegal immigrants are at the lowest ever recorded, and not one illegal immigrant was released into our country over the past two months. Compare this to the height of the invasion under Joe Biden, which saw nearly <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/07/extraordinary-president-trump-drives-illegal-border-crossings-to-a-new-historic-low/" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/07/extraordinary-president-trump-drives-illegal-border-crossings-to-a-new-historic-low/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1752789380627000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1_9QpUPXMI-nhgbJf6ukTA">10,000 unvetted migrants</a> enter the United States every day.
And this new law builds on these accomplishments.
The One Big Beautiful Bill will ensure that we can finish what we started. It is a major win for the American people that provides law enforcement with the tools, resources, and training needed to curb illegal immigration and secure the border.
For example, the law provides $46.5 billion to finish the construction of the border wall and improve other related infrastructure. An additional $6 billion will also be used to heighten surveillance at the border for various operations. This includes combating the scourge of illicit drug trafficking that has gripped, devastated, and destroyed far too many American lives and families. This means you won’t need to worry about tens of thousands of illegal aliens crossing the border each day — including many on the terror watch list.
The law also provides essential funding to hire, train, and give bonuses to Border Patrol agents, Air and Marine agents, and field support personnel. These brave Americans put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe; they deserve to have what they need to succeed and to be recognized for their work.
The law also allocates $10 billion to the Department of Homeland Security. An additional $45 billion will be used to expand detention capacity for illegal aliens taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. This is critical, given that <a href="https://x.com/WhiteHouse/status/1942940878244282615" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://x.com/WhiteHouse/status/1942940878244282615&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1752789380627000&amp;usg=AOvVaw19kLgMGBG55QCQX96ome9w">70%</a> of individuals arrested by ICE during the Trump administration have had criminal convictions or have pending charges, including criminals with aggravated assault, rape, and murder charges.
Thanks to Joe Biden’s border crisis, every state is now a border state. Across America, ICE agents—working in tandem with the FBI and state and local law enforcement — are doing excellent work enforcing immigration laws and keeping our communities safe. Since President Trump took office, ICE agents in <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/06/27/us/ice-arrests-trump.html?smid=url-share&amp;rsrc=deeplink#ice_arrests_Arkansas" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/06/27/us/ice-arrests-trump.html?smid%3Durl-share%26rsrc%3Ddeeplink%23ice_arrests_Arkansas&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1752789380627000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0pnQZ_H2VRZy5mfYzLy4_r">Arkansas</a> have increased arrests by 176% and by 154% in<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/06/27/us/ice-arrests-trump.html?smid=url-share&amp;rsrc=deeplink#ice_arrests_Michigan" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/06/27/us/ice-arrests-trump.html?smid%3Durl-share%26rsrc%3Ddeeplink%23ice_arrests_Michigan&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1752789380627000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2ZHc3yXOw0xZlTeMsFvR_K"> Michigan</a> compared to 2024. This law will give these agents the resources they need to continue their critical work.
As President Trump said before signing the once-in-a-generation legislation into law on Independence Day, “The American people gave us a historic mandate in November. … We made promises, and it’s really promises made, promises kept, and we’ve kept them. This is a triumph of democracy on the birthday of democracy.”
He’s absolutely right. The success of the One Big Beautiful Bill is proof that President Trump and Republicans in Congress are keeping our promises.
The provisions in this law that secure our borders and halt illegal immigration will advance and augment American strength, prosperity, and security for generations to come.

An Egyptian man was deported on Thursday after kicking a Customs and Border Patrol dog that discovered prohibited food products.
Hamed Ramadan Bayoumy Aly Marie, 70, kicked the CBP beagle with enough force to lift the dog off the ground, a CBP press release said. The dog, Freddy, suffered contusions to his rib area.
Marie pled guilty to federal charges involving harming animals used in law enforcement.
&#8220;He was credited with time served, ordered to pay the veterinarian’s fee, and to immediately report to CBP for removal from the United States,&#8221; the press release <a href="https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/local-media-release/egyptian-traveler-eats-federal-charges-kicking-dulles-cbp-beagle">said</a>. &#8220;Marie departed the United States on a flight to Egypt at 12:30 p.m. today.&#8221;
Freddy was inspecting baggage at Washington Dulles International Airport when he discovered 100 pounds of undeclared food items in Marie&#8217;s luggage. Marie violently kicked Freddy after the CBP canine handler began questioning him, the press release said.
CBP immediately handcuffed Marie and turned him over to Homeland Security Investigations.

“Being caught deliberately smuggling well over one hundred pounds of undeclared and prohibited agriculture products does not give one permission to violently assault a defenseless Customs and Border Protection beagle,” said Christine Waugh, CBP’s area port director for the Area Port of Washington, D.C. “We rely heavily on our K9 partners and Freddie was just doing his job. Any malicious attack on one of us is an attack on all of us, and CBP will continue to work with our investigating and prosecuting partners to deal swift and severe justice to perpetrators.”
CBP thanked people for their concern about Freddy.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) did not release a single illegal alien into the United States during the month of May, a new report from the federal immigration enforcement agency revealed.
The figure lies in sharp contrast to May of 2024 under the Biden administration, when approximately 62,000 illegal aliens were released into the United States.
CBP agents encountered just 8,725 illegal aliens attempting to enter the United States between ports of entry last month. The number marks a whopping 93 percent decline since last May, when immigration enforcement authorities encountered more than 117,000 illegal aliens between ports of entry on the southwestern border.
Acting Commissioner of CBP Pete Flores <a href="https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/national-media-release/cbp-releases-may-2025-monthly-update">touted the success</a>, highlighting the work of the Trump administration.
“Under the leadership of this administration, CBP has received historic support resulting in another 93% decrease in illegal crossings along the southwest border this month when compared with last year,” Flores said. “Border numbers continue to trend at historic lows, reinforcing the sustained success of our enforcement efforts in securing the homeland and protecting American communities.”
“This administration has seen the fastest improvement in American border security of all time,” Customs and Border Protection posted on X.

CBP agents also seized hundreds of pounds of deadly drugs, including 718 pounds of fentanyl. The law enforcement agency noted that cocaine seizures jumped by 19 percent from April to May, while heroin seizures surged 191 percent during the same period of time.
Border numbers began to plummet almost immediately upon President Donald Trump taking office at the start of this year. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/border-crossings-plunge-90-to-historic-lows-under-trump-crackdown">Data</a> from the first weeks in February revealed that border crossings had already dropped 90 percent in the first few weeks of the new presidency.

The decrease in illegal border crossings proved to be even more drastic than the early data suggested, with Vice President JD Vance <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/vance-does-victory-lap-at-border-all-it-took-was-a-new-president">celebrating</a> a 98 percent reduction in illegal immigration during a visit to the border in early March.

National Guard troops will be deployed into Los Angeles County to aid immigration enforcement as protests in the area escalate into attacks on federal immigration officers.
White House border czar Tom Homan appeared on Fox News on Saturday evening to hit back at local officials who have criticized federal immigration operations in the city. Homan said that National Guard troops would be in Los Angeles County by Saturday night to aid immigration enforcement and tamp down unrest.
“This is about enforcing the law and, again, we&#8217;re not going to apologize for doing it. We&#8217;re stepping up,” Homan said. “We’re already ahead of the game. We&#8217;re already mobilizing. Protesters in and around Los Angeles clashed with immigration officials on Friday and Saturday as federal officials warned protesters not to interfere with ongoing operations. Federal law enforcement in riot gear used tear gas and rubber bullets to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/07/us/la-immigration-raids-ice.html">disperse</a> crowds that descended on some ICE personnel.
&#8220;A message to the LA rioters: you will not stop us or slow us down. @ICEgov will continue to enforce the law. FBI officials are working to identify protesters who attacked the CBP agents.
“We are currently seeking information regarding the identity of the person(s) throwing rocks at vehicles conducting critical law enforcement operations. One of the perpetrators in this video is wearing a helmet, and we’re going to use our investigative tools to locate the individual,” FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino <a href="https://x.com/FBIDDBongino/status/1931443283621773508">said</a> on X. “I strongly suggest you turn yourself in, it’s only a matter of time.”

The Texas National Guard has been empowered by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to make immigration-related arrests.
The <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/border/2025/02/02/texas-national-guard-granted-authority-to-make-immigration-arrests/">memorandum of understanding</a> was written by CBP Acting Commissioner Pete R. Flores. It allows Texas National Guardsmen to conduct patrols and exercise the duties of immigration enforcement agents as long as a Border Patrol agent or other federal immigration officer accompanies them.
Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott touted the new policy <a href="https://x.com/GregAbbott_TX/status/1886247738402021714">in a post</a> on X.
“In an agreement I signed between Texas and Trump&#8217;s Customs and Border Protection, the Texas National Guard is granted the power of immigration officials to make immigration arrests. Effective immediately,” he wrote. “This boosts man power for border security.”
&#8220;The purpose of this MOU is to grant to Texas National Guard personnel, in a State Active Duty status, authority under Title 8 to exercise the duties and functions of an immigration officer,&#8221; a <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2025/02/MOU-CBP-Texas-National-Guard.pdf">copy of the memo</a> obtained by The Daily Wire reads. &#8220;This authority shall be exercised only under the supervision and direction of CBP officials.&#8221;
The memo, which had not yet been disseminated to all of Texas&#8217; border sectors as of Sunday, comes after President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) gave other federal law enforcement agents the power to conduct <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/dhs-authorizes-federal-law-enforcement-to-implement-trump-immigration-policies/">immigration enforcement</a> activities. The move allowed federal agents to partake in “investigating, determining the location of, and apprehending” illegal aliens in the United States.
Agents within the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the U.S. Marshals Service were all empowered by the Trump DHS.
The agreement between Texas and CBP comes as Trump has <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/2025/01/26/ice-arrests-raids-trump-quota/">reportedly</a> expressed dissatisfaction with the number of deportations that have thus far been carried out since his inauguration on January 20. Trump officials directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to increase the number of arrests from a few hundred every day to at least 1,200 to 1,500, The Washington Post reported, though White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt disputed the outlet’s report.

A Customs and Border Protection pilot was killed Monday in a helicopter crash near the California-Mexico border. 
CBP said that the agent, an unidentified Air Interdiction Agent, was on a security mission when the helicopter went down in Potrero, California, in San Diego County. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation and Safety Board are <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/us-customs-border-protection-pilot-killed-helicopter-crash-near-san-diego" target="_blank" rel="noopener">investigating</a> the crash. 
“On December 16, a CBP Air and Marine Operations aircraft on a border security mission was involved in an aviation mishap in the vicinity of Potrero, California,” a CBP spokesman <a href="https://x.com/BillMelugin_/status/1868825846208983182" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “Tragically, a CBP Air Interdiction Agent &#8211; the pilot and sole occupant of the aircraft &#8211; was pronounced deceased at the scene. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.”
NBC San Diego <a href="https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/1-dead-helicopter-crashes-far-east-san-diego-county/3702060/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the helicopter went down in the middle of a field in a hemp farm. 
According to CBP, Air Interdiction Agents “perform air law enforcement operations involving the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorist, terrorist weapons and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States.”
Earlier this year, the San Diego sector became one of the hot spots for illegal crossings into the United States, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/04/us/san-diego-migrants-california.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">including</a> over 37,000 in April alone. 
Republican San Diego County Board Supervisor Jim Desmond <a href="https://www.newsnationnow.com/us-news/new-ordinance-san-diego-countys-sanctuary-status/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> last week that the area is one of the worst in the country for human and drug trafficking. He told NewsNation that around 155,000 illegal migrants have been released into San Diego since 2022.

The board <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/san-diego-county-board-of-supervisors-votes-to-protect-violent-illegals-sheriff-fires-back" target="_blank" rel="noopener">voted</a> last week 3-1 for a policy that would turn the jurisdiction into a “super sanctuary” county, thereby preventing its sheriff’s department from notifying ICE about illegal immigrants who had committed violent crimes.
However, San Diego County Sheriff Kelly Martinez indicated that she would disregard the board’s policy. 
“The Sheriff’s Office will not change its practices based on the Board resolution and policy that was passed at today’s meeting. The Board of Supervisors does not set policy for the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff, as an independently elected official, sets the policy for the Sheriff’s Office. California law prohibits the Board of Supervisors from interfering with the independent, constitutionally and statutorily designated investigative functions of the Sheriff, and is clear that the Sheriff has the sole and exclusive authority to operate the county jails.”

The Biden administration is using its final weeks to haul a massive amount of border wall materials away from the southern border to be sold off in a government auction, an apparent effort to hinder President-elect Donald Trump’s effort to secure the border, The Daily Wire has learned.
Videos obtained exclusively by The Daily Wire from a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent show unused sections of the wall being hauled away on the back of flatbed trucks from a section of the border just south of Tucson, a hotspot for illegal crossings during the Biden administration. The agent estimates that up to half a mile per day of unused border wall is being moved.
“They are taking it from three stations: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points,” the border patrol agent, who was granted anonymity to speak freely, told The Daily Wire. “The goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas.”
Trump made clear during his campaign that he intends to finish construction of the border wall, making use of the materials that have <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/investigations/trump-harris-border-wall-arizona-rusting-2021-rcna173094" target="_blank" rel="noopener">remained untouched at the border</a> since President Joe Biden took office in 2021. If the material brought to the border during his first term is sold off, it will significantly delay any progress on one of Trump’s flagship campaign promises at the border.

The government contractor, DP Trucking LLC, is transporting the pieces of the wall north on Interstate 19 to Pinal Airpark in Marana, Arizona, where it is being auctioned through GovPlanet, a surplus government equipment auction marketplace.
“They just started taking all the wall that was not used, which is still totally good and usable, and they started taking it northbound,” the agent said. “They’re pulling it all off the border.”
Harold Lambeth, the owner of the trucking company, confirmed to The Daily Wire in a phone call that his company is transporting the unused border wall sections north away from the construction sites. He said he is unable to disclose further information about the work.
Video of the GovPlanet auction site where the material is being taken shows seemingly endless piles of unused border wall material. Another video, taken from one of the construction sites on the border, shows DP Trucking LLC trucks passing through with the same style of unused border wall stacked up the back of their flatbeds.
The <a href="https://www.govplanet.com/jsp/s/search.ips?sm=0&amp;l2=USA-AZ&amp;k=Steel%20Bollard%20Wall%20Sections&amp;mf=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">auction website</a> shows that sales occurred as recently as December 4 for precisely the types of materials being pulled off the border. GovPlanet has online auctions set for Dec. 11 and Dec. 18 for more of the border wall material, which is listed on the company’s website as “32.91’ X 7.91’ Steel Bollard Wall Sections w/Grout.”
The bidding for each section of wall panels is set to begin at only $5.00, according to the website.

Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), whose congressional district borders the Pinal Airpark where the material is being sold, said the Biden administration is “purposefully hamstringing” Trump before he takes office.
“The Biden Administration is well aware they shouldn’t have reversed the construction of the border wall. If it’s true, they’re purposefully hamstringing an incoming president, it wouldn’t be shocking,” Crane told The Daily Wire. “Why would they want to see President Trump succeed with policies they aggressively sabotaged?”
The long-time border patrol agent has seen political fights play out over the border before, and believes that the Biden administration is trying to stymie Trump’s ability to quickly secure the border as soon as he returns to office.
“When Trump comes back, and he wants to start the border wall all over again, the whole entire funding fight is gonna happen again,” the agent said. “That’s their play. He’s gonna have to fight for this — again.”

The Customs and Border Protection Agency referred The Daily Wire to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, saying the latter had jurisdiction over the materials until they are erected. From there, The Daily Wire was referred to the Defense Logistics Agency, where an official said the standing policy is to refer all media requests on this to the public affairs team at the Office of the Secretary of Defense. A member of the public affairs team declined to respond to inquiries.
Trump is <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trumps-day-one-deportations-border-wall-scrapping-biden-humanitarian-programs-2024-11-12/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">expected to use an executive order</a> to unlock funds to restart construction of the border wall that was halted under Biden, with anticipation that it could be one of his day-one actions.
Crane, the Arizona congressman, says the last-minute fire sale by the Biden administration is “a direct affront to the will of the people.”
“The American people gave President Trump a mandate in November, which included the fulfillment of his plans to secure the border,” Crane said. “Any last-ditch attempt to obstruct this mandate by the Biden Administration would be a direct affront to the will of the people.”

Trump has now tapped Tom Homan as his new “border czar.” Tom Homan is, of course, the former acting ICE chief. In a social media post late on Sunday, Trump made his <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/113462412414821782" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announcement</a>:

I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders. Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin. Congratulations to Tom. I have no doubt he will do a fantastic, and long awaited for, job.</blockquote>
Homan is somebody who really stands up for the principles of a closed border and for legal immigration. In October during an <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-mass-deportation-plan-cost-consequences-60-minutes-transcript/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview with 60 Minutes’</a> Cecilia Vega, Homan clarified his positioning on deportation:

Homan: I don&#8217;t know if that&#8217;s accurate or not.
Vega: Is that what American taxpayers should expect?
Homan: What price do you put on national security? Is it worth it?

Homan: Of course there is. Families can be deported together.</blockquote>
Trump is serious about deporting a large number of people, and Homan is the most serious person to act as “border czar.”

Ocasio-Cortez: But it says here that you—you gave her numerous options, but the recommendation was option three, family separation.
Homan: What I’m saying, this is not the only paper where we had given the Secretary numerous options to secure the border and save lives.
Ocasio-Cortez: And so the recommendation — of the many that you recommended — you recommended family separation.
Homan: I recommended zero tolerance.
Ocasio-Cortez: Which includes family separation.
Homan: The same as it is with every U.S. citizen parent that gets arrested when they’re with a child.
Ocasio-Cortez: Zero tolerance was interpreted as the policy that separated children from their parents?
Homan: If I get arrested for DUI and I have a young child in the car, I’m going to be separated. When I was a police officer in New York and I arrested a father for domestic violence, I separated that father from—
Ocasio-Cortez: Mr. Homan, with all due respect, legal asylees are not charged with any crime.
Homan: When you’re in the country illegally, it’s a violation of eight United States Code 1325.
Ocasio-Cortez: Seeking asylum is legal.
Homan: If you want to seek asylum, go through the port of entry, do it the legal way. The Attorney General of the United States has made that clear.</blockquote>
That is the new border czar. Trump was not joking when he talked about closing the border and taking the issue of illegal immigration seriously.
Tom Homan as the “border czar” was not Trump&#8217;s only announced pick over the weekend. He also announced Rep. Elise Stefanik to his choice for the U.N. ambassador role.
That&#8217;s a great job. If you have to pick any job in the American government, U.N. ambassador is a fantastic job because you have a very nice apartment in New York City, and then you go over to the U.N., which is a repository of all human scum, and yell at dictators all day. It&#8217;s a pretty phenomenal job.
Stefanik happens to be an excellent candidate for this position. Just last December, she stood up to antisemitism on college campuses. In last year’s Committee on Education and the Workforce hearing on “Holding Campus Leaders Accountable and Confronting Antisemitism,” Stefanik <a href="https://stefanik.house.gov/2023/12/icymi-during-questions-from-stefanik-presidents-of-harvard-upenn-mit-refuse-to-condemn-calls-for-genocide-of-jews" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pressed</a> then-Harvard University President Claudine Gay, along with several other university heads, whether allowing antisemitic chants calling for the elimination of the state of Israel was, in fact, antisemitic:
<blockquote>Stefanik: I will ask you one more time. Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate Harvard&#8217;s rules of bullying and harassment? Yes or no?
Gay: Antisemitic rhetoric when it crosses into conduct, that amounts to bullying, harassment, intimidation, that is actionable conduct, and we do take action.
Stefanik: So the answer is yes. That calling for the genocide of Jews violates Harvard Code of Conduct. Correct?
Gay: Again, it depends on the context.
Stefanik: It does not depend on the context the answer is yes, and this is why you should resign. These are unacceptable answers across the board.</blockquote>
After this hearing — and after she was found to have plagiarized multiple works, including her dissertation — Gay ended up losing her job.

The video was blasted by social media users, who quipped that using over a dozen people and taking 20 seconds to move a log around 30 feet was a perfect example of the federal government&#8217;s inefficiency.

Other social media users pointed out that using a wheelbarrow would allow one person to transport numerous logs that size, speeding up the process, but apparently, the CBP officers preferred the assembly line method.
At least Americans can rest easy knowing the answer to the question. It takes at least 14 CBP officers to move a small log 30 feet. Americans are still waiting to find out how many CBP officers it takes to stop the Biden-Harris administration&#8217;s border crisis.

A Cuban national who has been accused of murdering a woman in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tennessee" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tennessee</a> was reportedly released into the country by the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden administration</a> last year, according to a new report. 
NewsNation <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/migrant-entered-via-cbp-one-222006710.html#:~:text=Dayren%20Roque%20Lopez%2C%2041%2C%20from,in%20a%20Cleveland%20residence%20Sunday." target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> Tuesday that 41-year-old Dayren Roque Lopez, who is suspected of murdering 25-year-old Dayana Garcia, was released into the United States in San Ysidro, California, in August 2023 using the Biden administration’s Customs and Border Protection One app. The app allows people seeking entry into the U.S. expedited processing and gives them a court date to hear their asylum claim. 
Lopez was arrested in Zavala County, Texas, on Monday after he was accused of murdering Garcia in Cleveland, Tennessee. He was caught almost 30 miles away from the Texas/Mexico border, according to police. 
Lopez had work authorization in the United States and was set to have a hearing on his immigration status in Memphis in November, according to NewsNation. 
Cleveland Police said that they were working with Texas Rangers to bring Lopez back to Tennessee to face first-degree murder charges. The suspect reportedly was arrested on domestic charges in February but was not convicted. 
Cleveland Police Chief Mark Gibson said that the circumstances around Garcia’s death were still under investigation, and officials were not ready to release the cause of death to the public. 
“We have been in contact with her family, and I&#8217;m sure we&#8217;ll start finding out a lot more information about her as time goes,” he <a href="https://kfoxtv.com/news/nation-world/man-wanted-for-tennesssee-womans-murder-arrested-in-texas-dayren-roque-lopez-zavala-county-bradley-county-cleveland-dayana-garcia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said the incident exemplifies the Biden-Harris administration’s failed immigration policies. 
“The accused murderer of a 25-year-old woman in Cleveland, Tennessee, is an illegal alien, someone who came in this country on the CBP One App,” she said. “You&#8217;ve heard me talk about this because it is another of those components that the Biden-Harris administration is using trying to make illegal aliens legal. This absolutely has to stop. This is why it is imperative that we close the border.”
Thousands of foreign nationals have been released into the U.S. through the CBP One app, which allows foreign nationals to schedule appointments to apply for asylum at ports of entry.
