NFL star QBs Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa addressed the recent burglaries affecting players in the league following a string of break-ins over the last month during games.
On Wednesday, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/cincinnati-bengals">Cincinnati Bengals</a> QB Burrow spoke to <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDd__FLJluQ/?igsh=NjZiM2M3MzIxNA%3D%3D">members of the press</a> after he became the latest athlete to have his home broken into while he was on a road trip with his team.
“Obvioulsy, everybody has heard what has happened,” Burrow said at a press conference. “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one and way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share.”
It came after the Hamilton County’s Sheriff’s Office confirmed to <a href="https://www.wlwt.com/article/joe-burrows-house-broken-into-report-during-football-game/63148465">WLWT</a> that Burrow’s $7.5 million Ohio home was burglarized and ransacked during Cincinnati’s 27-20 win over the Cowboys in Texas on Monday.
The outlet reported that a 911 call came in from a woman whose daughter was staying at the QB’s home, saying, “Someone is trying to break into the house right now.”
“My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house,” the mom added. “She is staying there. He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should go outside. She said someone was in the house.”

A second 911 call came from the person staying at Burrow’s house, saying, “Someone broke into my house. It’s like completely messed up.”

&#8220;We got personal security to take care of all of that. When we&#8217;re on the road, we&#8217;ve got someone with my wife, got someone also at the house, surveying the house,&#8221; Tagovailoa said.
&#8220;So I hope that if you decide to go to my house, you think twice,&#8221; he added, noting his security is armed.

In a memo obtained by the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/nfl-security-alert-burglaries-mahomes-kelce-960075221367266fbee98f711a74c094">Associated Press</a>, the league said homes of professional athletes have become “increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups.”
The memo labeled the transnational crime rings “well-organized, sophisticated,” and urged the players to safeguard valuables and avoid publicly sharing check-ins on social media or any information about their homes and any luxury items they might own, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/cincinnati-bengals-qb-joe-burrow-home-burglary-rcna183666">NBC News</a> noted.
Officials noted that the homes are specifically being targeted when players are at their games.
A South American crime ring is believed to be the culprit in at least the Chiefs burglaries, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/10/sports/joe-burrows-home-broken-into-during-mnf-in-another-athlete-robbery/">New York Post </a>reported.

Mahomes’ home was burglarized on Sunday, October 6, the day before the team’s victory on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints, the outlet noted.
On the day of the game, the home belonging to Kelce was broken into while the team was playing against the Saints. At the time, <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2024/11/12/patrick-mahomes-travis-kelce-homes-burglarized/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a> reported that $20,000 in cash was stolen and a back door was damaged.
A South American crime ring is believed to be the culprit in at least the Chiefs burglaries, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/10/sports/joe-burrows-home-broken-into-during-mnf-in-another-athlete-robbery/">New York Post </a>reported.
At the time of this report, Burrow or the Bengals have yet to comment on the burglary.

The X account, Kamala&#8217;s Wins — which has over 550,000 followers — <a href="https://awfulannouncing.com/nfl/no-joe-burrow-did-not-participate-in-the-white-dudes-for-harris-call.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> on Tuesday, &#8220;BREAKING: Joe Burrow is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and even joined the White Dudes for Kamala call.&#8221; A spokesman for the Bengals, however, told the <a href="https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2024/07/30/joe-burrow-kamala-harris-white-dude-for-harris-2024-election-cincinnati-bengals/74600762007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cincinnati Enquirer</a> on Tuesday that Burrow was not on the &#8220;White Dudes for Harris&#8221; call, and Kamala&#8217;s Wins later deleted its post.
Another viral tweet claimed that New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff also joined the Zoom session, but Front Office Sports <a href="https://frontofficesports.com/joe-burrow-kamala-harris-white-dudes-call/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that sources close to Jones and Goff said neither quarterback was on the pro-Harris call.
Big names who did appear on the &#8220;White Dudes for Harris&#8221; call included actors Mark Hamill and Jeff Bridges, singer Josh Groban, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), among others. The group&#8217;s organizers said that they raised over $4 million for the Harris campaign during the Zoom session.
During the call, speakers discussed their enthusiasm to support Harris while blasting former President Donald Trump.

The 2018 first round draft pick said last month he suffered a blood clot that got into his lungs, so he was leaving professional football because of the potential risks the blood clot presents, <a href="https://www.espn.ph/nfl/story/_/id/40216469/veteran-center-billy-price-retires-terrifying-blood-clot">ESPN</a> reported.

“Unfortunately, I will be retiring from the NFL as the risk of an internal bleed while on blood thinners creates tremendous risk,” Price continued. “I am truly thankful for the opportunity to have played in some of the greatest atmospheres around the world. I am thankful to have trained and played alongside men who will continue to make Pro Bowls, All Pro Rosters and Hall of Fame recognitions.”
He closed out his post by crediting his wife for a career he said that “would not have been possible without&#8221; her &#8220;continued love and support.”
“The sacrifices you have made over the course of my career do not go unnoticed,” he added. “I cannot wait to navigate the next chapter in life with you as we continue to grow our family.”
In 2018, the Cincinnati Bengals drafted Price out of Ohio State with the 21st pick overall. During his 5 seasons in the NFL, he played three seasons for the Bengals — appearing in 42 games, with 19 of those being starts. He was then traded to the New York Giants in 2021, and started 15 games for the team before ending up with the Arizona Cardinals. He last played for the Cardinals during the 2022 season and started 11 of those games.
Last year, the center also spent time with the New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys, and Las Vegas Raiders organizations, including on the Dallas practice squad, the <a href="https://www.nfl.com/news/offensive-lineman-billy-price-bengals-2018-first-round-pick-retires-due-to-risk-caused-by-blood-clot">NFL reported</a>.

Joe Burrow, the talented young quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, will be out for the remainder of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NFL</a> season after tearing a ligament in his wrist during his team’s Thursday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens. 
The third-year quarterback out of LSU left in the second quarter of Thursday’s game after throwing a touchdown pass to put the Bengals up 10-7. The Bengals said Burrow was injured after a hit on a previous play from Ravens linebacker Jadeveon Clowney. Burrow was in visible pain after throwing a touchdown pass to end the drive and said he felt a pop.

Moments later, the 26-year-old quarterback was seen attempting to throw on the sidelines before his team’s next offensive drive, but after one try at throwing a ball, he went down in pain.
&#8220;I was just going to tape it up and give it a shot,&#8221; Burrow <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38921229/bengals-qb-joe-burrow-season-likely-needs-surgery">said</a>, according to ESPN. &#8220;I just couldn&#8217;t.&#8221;
Bengals head coach Zac Talyor said Burrow would need surgery to repair the torn ligament, but tried to remain optimistic after his team fell to 5-5 on the season.
&#8220;This season is far from over,&#8221; he said.
Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning took Burrow’s place running the offense and finished the game with 68 yards and a touchdown, connecting on eight of his 14 passes. The Bengals would go on to fall to the Ravens 20-34.
Burrow’s season-ending injury has also caused some controversy as the NFL is now investigating the Bengals after the team posted a video of Burrow getting off the team bus in Baltimore with an apparent cast on the wrist that he eventually ended up injuring. The league is looking into why the Bengals did not list Burrow on its injury report for the week, which <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/11/17/joe-burrow-wrist-injury/">requires</a> teams to list all players with “reportable injuries.”

The Hamilton County Sheriff&#8217;s Office said Tuesday that the home of Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is part of a crime scene following reports that a minor was shot on the property.
&#8220;At 8:25pm on March 6th, Hamilton County Sheriff&#8217;s deputies responded to the 7900 block of Ayers Rd. in Anderson Township for a report of shots fired,&#8221; law enforcement <a href="https://twitter.com/karinjohnson/status/1633129659620638726">said</a> in a statement. &#8220;A juvenile was transported to Children&#8217;s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. HCSO deputies conducted a search warrant for a home in the 7900 block, and were able to gather evidence that will be part of this active investigation.&#8221;
&#8220;Our detectives will continue to review this evidence diligently and conduct interviews,&#8221; the statement continued. &#8220;We hope to provide a more comprehensive update to the investigation later this week. We can confirm that part of the crime scene involves a home connected to Bengals player Joe Mixon. That is all we have to release at this time.&#8221;

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had a simple message for his rival after Sunday&#8217;s AFC championship game: &#8220;Go win it now.&#8221;
Burrow joined the rest of his team in lining up to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs after a late hit on quarterback <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/super-bowl-bound-chiefs-qb-patrick-mahomes-praises-god-for-getting-him-there/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Patrick Mahomes</a> resulted in a field goal that clinched a <a href="https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/zac-taylors-gets-real-on-patrick-mahomes-late-hit-penalty-in-bengals-loss-to-chiefs/ar-AA16SxkH?li=BBnb7Kz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">23-20 victory</a> for the Chiefs, but when Mahomes approached Burrow in the line, he had more to say than just congratulations.

As he approached the Bengals players, Mahomes could be heard offering his congratulations on a game well played. &#8220;Hell of a game, dog, hell of a game,&#8221; he said as he embraced Cincinnati defensive end Trey Hendrickson.
&#8220;Many more, dog,&#8221; Mahomes said as he approached Burrow. &#8220;Many more. Hell of a game, you have a hell of a career, dog.&#8221;
&#8220;You too brother,&#8221; Burrow replied before delivering his real message: &#8220;Go win it now.&#8221;
&#8220;Yes, sir,&#8221; Mahomes responded before moving on down the line.
Super Bowl LVII will mark Mahomes&#8217; third appearance in the big game — he led the Chiefs to victory in Super Bowl LIV over the San Francisco 49ers and then lost to the Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.
On February 12, the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles — who clinched the NFC championship against the 49ers on Sunday.
Following their respective wins, the Empire State Building Twitter account <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/new-yorkers-mad-after-empire-state-building-honors-philadelphia-eagles/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">took some heat</a> for sharing photos of the building lit up in team colors — particularly the Eagles&#8217; green and white, as Philadelphia had knocked the New York Giants out of the playoffs a week earlier.

Tee Higgins, the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver who collided with Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin before Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field, made his first public comments regarding Hamlin.
The two men had known each other personally before, having attended Tyler Boyd’s annual football camp near Pittsburgh, <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35386879/tee-higgins-feels-better-communicating-damar-hamlin-mom">ESPN</a> noted.
“Obviously it’s been hard, just because you know I had something to do with the play [and] whatnot,” Higgins said, according to <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/nfl/bengals-higgins-im-in-a-good-place-right-now/2023/01/05/15a445ca-8d3c-11ed-b86a-2e3a77336b8e_story.html">The Washington Post</a>.  “Everyone has been making me feel whole again. I talked to his mom and everything is OK, he’s doing good, so I’m in a good place right now.”
“And suddenly she’s telling me that he’s OK. And just all the positive stuff,” he continued. “I mean it feels good just knowing that he’s OK, he’s doing better, and it makes me feel better inside.”
The play before Hamlin collapsed came in the first quarter of the game Monday night, as Hamlin collapsed after tackling Higgins at the tail end of a 13-yard completion. Hamlin initially stood up, then collapsed. Higgins, who had not seen Hamlin stand up, initially thought Hamlin had flopped, then realized what was happening.
“Me being a football player, I’m thinking he just flopped, one of my guys bumped him,” Higgins recalled. “I just seen the fall. I looked again, and I seen what happened, and I just turned my head and trying not to think about it. So I knew it was something crazy and something tragic.”
Boyd, who has maintained contact with Higgins since Hamlin collapsed, criticized people who have blamed Higgins, saying, “Tee&#8217;s a human being, too. It could&#8217;ve flipped. It could&#8217;ve been Tee. It&#8217;s football, at the end of the day.&#8221;
Bills quarterback Josh Allen expressed similar sentiments, declaring, “I do want to say one more thing: I haven&#8217;t reached out to Tee. I hope that he got some relief today. I saw some stuff on Twitter. And people should not be attacking him whatsoever. And I&#8217;m glad that Damar&#8217;s family came out and said that. And hopefully, he found some relief today. Because that&#8217;s a football play. And I hope that he doesn&#8217;t hold that upon himself because there&#8217;s nothing else that he could have done in that situation.&#8221;
On Thursday, the Buffalo Bills released a statement on Hamlin’s progress, stating, “Per the physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours. While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal, and he is making steady progress.”
