Cher, Dick Van Dyke and other celebrities were forced to evacuate their homes on Tuesday after a wind-swept fire engulfed portions of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/california" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Southern California</a> community of Malibu.
In a post on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/dickvandykefans/posts/pfbid02KK77c9GqW2dRCCrBwtfks7a7EfjF5bzF5HiESF821K9GnsfCcDCCZ7Yoo9vTzZvol">Facebook</a>, the 98-year-old legendary actor said that he and his wife Arlene had safely evacuated their homes as the Franklin fire blazed through the area.
“Arlene and I have safely evacuated with our animals except for Bobo [their cat] escaped as we were leaving,” the famed actor, who turns 99 on December 13, wrote.

“We’re praying he’ll be OK and that our community in Serra Retreat will survive these terrible fires,” he added.
A publicist for Cher, Liz Rosenberg, told the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/wildfire-malibu-evacuation-pepperdine-university-dick-van-dyke-c074d51281ca12ca6e98d91e6e78da71">Associated Press</a> that the singer/actress had left her home as ordered and was staying in a hotel.
Barbara Streisand also has a home in the area and a spokesperson for her <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/10/us/malibu-fire-van-dyke-cher-streisand.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> The New York Times she didn’t have to evacuate yet.
The brush fire started around 11 p.m. on Monday night and thanks to the strong Santa Ana winds, the fire grew to six square miles and was just 7% contained on Tuesday, the AP noted.

“The deep and rugged terrain, along with the strong winds and low humidity, continue to pose challenges for firefighters,” the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, or Cal Fire, said in an incident update.
However, officials noted that a change in the weather on Wednesday could help them significantly.
“We’re far better off this morning than we were in the last 30-plus hours,” Malibu Mayor Doug Stewart said at a Wednesday news conference.
Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Anthony C. Marrone said that more than 7,500 structures, mostly homes, were threatened, with more than ten thousand people under evacuation orders.
Much of the fire has not only consumed the area with celebrities&#8217; mansions, but also affected Pepperdine University.
A spokesperson for the university, Michael Friel, said Wednesday morning, “You literally could see the flames from the top of the hill from campus.&#8221;
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

It’s the ultimate virtue signal, and that’s saying something by Hollywood standards.
If Donald Trump wins on Election Day <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/20-stars-who-pledged-flee-country-trump-was-elected-are-they-945888/amy-schumer-9/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">I’m leaving</a> the country! That was the 2016 rally cry echoed by stars like Samuel L. Jackson, Cher, Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, Whoopi Goldberg, Miley Cyrus and Snoop Dogg just before Trump&#8217;s improbable first term.
Spoiler alert. They stayed put. Or, as Schumer inelegantly put it, “just kidding!”
It quickly became a way to mock Celebrity Nation. Oh, you’re leaving if your preferred candidate doesn’t win on Election Day? Don’t let the door hit you where the Good Lord split you!
Mockery aside, the notion of a second Trump term coaxed some stars to make very similar complaints. The stars apparently either didn’t hear the ribbing that ensued the first time around or they didn’t care. Emotions run hot in Hollywood, so the latest election cycle found more celebrities vowing to flee should Kamala Harris’ word salad campaign fail to launch.
Oscar-nominee <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13674371/ALISON-BOSHOFF-Sharon-Stone-pledges-leave-USA-Donald-Trump-elected-President-November.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sharon Stone teased a hasty retreat</a> prior to Election Day. She told The Daily Mail in July she was planning a possible exit in a worst-case scenario.
&#8220;I am certainly considering a house in Italy…I think that’s an intelligent construct at this time. This is one of the first times in my life that I’ve actually seen anyone running for office on a platform of hate and oppression.&#8221;
We haven’t heard an update on her plans as of yet.

Barbra Streisand hedged her bets when she shared her post-election plans with “The Late Show” on CBS. She told far-Left host Stephen Colbert that she couldn’t keep living in America under a second Trump term, eyeing England as a possible destination.
We’re waiting for the moving trucks to circle her palatial estate.
Last year, Cher said this time she was seriously about leaving the USA should Trump defeat then-candidate President Joe Biden.
&#8220;I almost got an ulcer the last time. If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the country].&#8221;
He’s in. Again. We’ll have to wait and see if Cher’s word is her bond.

The second round of, “I’m leaving the country if Trump wins (again)” is less boisterous than the first. Plus, a tiny number of stars actually followed up on their pledge.
Sort of. To be fair, it’s … complicated.
Ellen DeGeneres, whose behind-the-scenes cruelty crushed her once-popular TV talk show, followed up on the generic, I’m gonna leave threat. She and her wife, “Arrested Development” alum Portia de Rossi, are <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ellen-degeneres-reportedly-moves-to-england-after-trump-victory" target="_blank" rel="noopener">moving to</a> England.

It’s ironic for a comedian to choose England, a nation where free speech has come under serious attack while President Elect-Trump vows to crush the Deep State’s censorship players.
Priorities.

The press insinuated “Desperate Housewives” alum Eva Longoria also pulled up her stakes and moved following Trump’s victory. She could have leaned into the false narrative, gaining hipster points within her Hollywood community.
Longoria, to her credit, shared <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/im-a-proud-american-eva-longoria-strikes-new-tone-says-she-didnt-leave-country-over-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the real story</a> behind her move.
“I’ve been in Europe for almost three years… By the way, the article says that. People just grabbed some clickbait stuff to be divisive, which makes me so sad. Everything you say is just meant to be divisive when we can’t be that way right now.”
She <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14107845/Back-soon-Eva-Actress-returns-dystopian-Hollywood-party-moving-abroad-following-Donald-Trumps-election-victory.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">also flew back</a> to California in recent days for an industry party.
Ironically, Longoria blasted <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/11/20/opinion/eva-longoria-moves-to-mexico-and-spain-but-us-will-be-ok/">California’s homeless issues and high taxes</a> as key reasons for her initial departure. Both fall heavily on the state’s one-party rule, not any Trump decisions.

Some stars are making good on their plans to leave, but it doesn’t mean their nation of origin. <a href="https://deadline.com/gallery/celebrities-who-have-left-x-twitter-election/filming-of-netflixs-upcoming-frankenstein-film-takes-place-in-edinburgh/">They’re fleeing X</a>, the Elon Musk platform which embraced free speech in recent years. It’s far easier to switch to a competing, albeit infinitely smaller, platform than actually selling one’s home and giving up what America offers the very rich and famous.
That ex-X list includes Stephen King, Bette Midler, Rob Reiner, Jamie Lee Curtis, Matthew Lillard, Alyssa Milano, Mark Hamill and Gabrielle Union. More may follow, including far-Left journalists like Jennifer Rubin of The Washington Post fame.

Most have settled into Bluesky, a newer platform that offers an X-like experience.
That <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/11/21/liberal-bluesky-social-media-platform-trump-era-x/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transition has been far from smooth</a>.
They, too, may eventually come back to the platform formally known as Twitter. Stars often threaten to leave or quit the social media giant before coming back sooner or later. <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/alec-baldwin-twitter-30-rock-nbc-american-airlines-280126/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alec Baldwin is a classic example.</a>
Newer platforms like Threads, dubbed the <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2023/jul/10/twitter-killer-threads-app-meta-mark-zuckerberg-elon-musk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Twitter killer</a> in its early days, haven’t caught up with Musk’s digital baby. <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/10/04/metas-twitter-killer-brands-shun-threads-traffic-plunges/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">That’s being kind.</a>
Then again, leaving X wasn’t healing enough for actor/auteur Rob Reiner. The “Misery” director left X, joined Bluesky but says he’s still so crushed by Trump’s victory that he’s <a href="https://thatparkplace.com/rob-reiner-checks-himself-into-a-facility-over-trump-election/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">checked into a “facility” for his mental health.</a>
The actor formerly known as Meathead may have found the smartest way to process Trump 2.0 for Hollywood progressives.

As Angel Studios and The Daily Wire look forward to the upcoming inspirational movie “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dailywire-strikes-deal-with-angel-studios-for-sound-of-hope-get-showtimes-now">Sound of Hope</a>” — which tells the true story of how 77 children found homes after being adopted out of the foster care system in East Texas by 22 families — we found 10 celebrities who were adopted or spent time in foster care as young children.
DailyWire+ and Angel Studios announced earlier this month that they have entered into a partnership to release Peacetree Productions’ profoundly moving film “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot.” The film will be released in theaters on July 4th weekend.

The list starts with reality TV star Nicole Richie, who at the age of 9, found a home thanks to singer Lionel Ritchie and his first wife, Brenda Harvey, according to <a href="https://www.marieclaire.com/celebrity/g3665/celebrities-who-were-adopted/">Marie Claire</a>.
Speaking to <a href="https://people.com/music/lionel-richie-reflects-on-adopting-daughter-nicole-with-first-wife/">People magazine</a> in 2022, the famous singer called Nicole a “Godsend” for their family.
“She was a little girl who needed a shot,&#8221; Richie said. &#8220;She was used to people coming and going. She looked at me, and I&#8217;d say, &#8216;I&#8217;m not going anywhere.'&#8221;
Faith Hill
Country singer Faith Hill has been burning up the charts now for decades, but who knows what her life would’ve been like if she hadn’t been adopted as an infant.
When the country star got older, Hill said she searched for her biological parents, though she called her adoptive ones “incredible,” <a href="https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/movies/g44548893/celebrities-who-were-adopted/">Esquire</a> reported.
&#8220;The first time I met [my birth mother], I just stared at her,&#8221; Hill <a href="https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/inspirational-stories/interviews/a15246/faith-hill-renewed-apr04/">said</a>. “I’d never seen anyone that looked anything like me. It was the awe of seeing someone you came from. It fills something.&#8221;
Sarah McLachlan
Another singer who was adopted is soulful Canadian singer and songwriter Sarah McLachlan, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/adopted-celebrities-2018-3#sarah-mclachlan-met-her-birth-mother-through-a-complete-coincidence-10">Business Insider</a> noted.
The singer was adopted, along with two other kids, by Jack and Dorice McLachlan. She was 9 years old when she learned about the adoption. 
Speaking to Parents magazine in 2005, McLachlan said, &#8220;When I think about my mother who raised me, you know, she&#8217;s my mother,” Business Insider reported. 
Marilyn Monroe
The late Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe spent time in foster care living in foster care homes until the age of 7 when her mom’s best friend, Grace McKee, became her legal guardian, <a href="https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/movies/g44548893/celebrities-who-were-adopted/">Esquire magazine</a> noted.
However, things were not smooth for her right away and the young star bounced between orphanages and McKee’s home until the age of 11, according to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/adopted-celebrities-2018-3#marilyn-monroe-bounced-around-the-california-foster-care-system-due-to-her-birth-mothers-inability-to-care-for-her-3">Business Insider</a>.
At one point, she also ended up moving in with her great-aunt Olive, before she got married at the age of 16 to neighbor James Dougherty.
Jamie Foxx
Comedian and actor Jamie Foxx was adopted when he was just seven months old by his own mother&#8217;s adoptive parents, Estelle and Mark Tally, after Foxx&#8217;s parents separated, according to <a href="https://people.com/all-about-jamie-foxx-parents-8421883#:~:text=When%20his%20mom%20realized%20she,and%20became%20his%20primary%20caretakers.">People</a>. 
In his 2021 memoir “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Act-Like-You-Some-Sense/dp/1538703289">Act Like You Got Some Sense</a>,” Foxx opened up about his childhood and wrote that his grandparents adopted him because his mom “was not ready for the responsibility of parenting.”
He also talked about being raised in Texas by his strict but loving grandmother and said, “She was an educator for 30 years, a very smart woman, raised our city.”
Melissa Gilbert
To most people, Melissa Gilbert is the famed star who got her start on “Little House on the Prairie.” But before she graced the small screen, Gilbert was a baby without a home.
At one day old, the actress was adopted by a “well-known Hollywood family,” the “<a href="https://www.today.com/parents/celebrity/adopted-celebrities-rcna124978">Today</a>” show noted. In the 1990s, she began a search for her biological parents after she gave birth to her son. She soon learned that her mom had passed away, but found her dad. 
In 2010, Gilbert wrote <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Prairie-Tale-Memoir-Melissa-Gilbert/dp/1416599177">“Prairie Tale: A Memoir</a>” and opened up about being adopted and eventually learning the crazy story of who her birth parents were and why they couldn’t raise her.
Simone Biles
Before Simone Biles became a household name after winning numerous Olympic gold medals, she was placed in foster care as a child when her mom couldn’t take care of her and her three siblings, the “<a href="https://www.today.com/parents/celebrity/adopted-celebrities-rcna124978">Today</a>” show noted.
She was eventually adopted by her grandparents, Ron and Nellie Biles. In a letter to <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/05/opinions/foster-care-education-olympics-opinion-biles/index.html">CNN</a> in 2018, Biles discussed how she wouldn’t be where she is today if she hadn’t been adopted.
&#8220;My road to success began the day my grandfather and his wife officially adopted my sister and me,” Biles wrote. “My birth mother suffered from drug addiction, and when I was just three years old, my siblings and I were removed from her custody. 
“From there, we bounced around until I was six and my grandparents made the brave move to adopt us,&#8221; she added. &#8220;Finding a family made me feel like I mattered. Finding a passion, something I loved and was really good at, made me feel like I mattered.”
Eddie Murphy 
Famous actor and comedian <a href="https://www.capstonefostercare.co.uk/knowledge-centre/10-celebrities-who-grew-up-in-foster-care#:~:text=Eddie%20Murphy&amp;text=Five%20years%20later%2C%20Eddie%20learned,system%20for%20around%20a%20year.">Eddie Murphy</a> might not know what it’s like to be adopted, but he did spend his childhood growing up in the foster care system, something he now credits with helping him hone his comedic skills.
At the age of 3, Murphy’s parents divorced and five years later his mom was struggling financially to raise him and his dad had died. His mom ended up in the hospital for a lengthy period with an illness during which the actor and his brother were taken into the foster care system, where they spent the next year.
The comedian previously talked about his experience in foster care and credited it with helping him become the talent he is today, admitting that it gave him the ability to laugh in any situation.
Cher
Hollywood star Cher — born Cherilyn Sarkisian — knows what it’s like to be adopted. When she was just 10 months old her parents divorced. Her mother later married bank manager Gilbert LaPiere, who would adopt Cher and her half-sister Georganne.
The 77-year-old singer is currently dating 38-year-old Alexander “AE” Edwards and the two have reportedly talked about having a family through adoption. 
“She’s telling AE it’s her dream in life to have another baby,” a source recently told <a href="https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/cher-considering-adopting-with-boyfriend-alexander-edwards/">InTouch Weekly</a>. “She missed the boat on freezing eggs and hiring a surrogate but <a href="https://www.sheknows.com/parenting/slideshow/2644578/celebrities-adopted-children/?utm_source=instagramstory&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=editorial">adoption </a>is something she very much would like to do.”
Ray Liotta
Before Liotta made it big in Hollywood as our favorite bad guy in gangster movies like “Goodfellas” he went through his own personal drama about being adopted.
The late star was adopted by Mary and Alfred Liotta when he was just six months old.
Liotta struggled during his lifetime about being adopted and wondering why his parents gave him up. But before his death in 2022, he talked about how grateful he was for the parents who adopted him and how he’d come to peace with the ones who let him go, <a href="https://people.com/movies/ray-liotta-made-peace-birth-parents-adoption-exclusive/">People magazine</a> reported.
“After years, you grow up, and you just see the pattern of things,” Liotta said. I&#8217;ve definitely developed more patience. Now I&#8217;m grateful for my health. And being born. For my parents that adopted me. I mean, it could have gone a lot of different ways.”

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Recording artist</a> Cher’s temporary emergency conservatorship request for her 47-year-old son, Elijah Blue Allman, has been denied by the court.
The judge turned down <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/cher">Cher’s</a> proposal saying that Allman “has managed his finances” and “has an apartment,” plus “ has remained drug free” after submitting “several <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/drugs">drug tests</a>,” per <a href="https://people.com/cher-son-elijah-blue-allman-temporary-emergency-conservatorship-denied-hearing-8551750">People</a>.
Allman was in court with his legal team and his estranged wife Marieangela King, while Cher appeared remotely. Her legal counsel was there in person.
Cher&#8217;s lawyers argued that Allman should have a conservatorship because of his schizoaffective disorder, which led to him being placed in several 5150 holds, the term for getting someone with a mental illness to be involuntarily detained for a 72-hour psychiatric hospitalization, in the last year.
“I don’t question Cher’s concerns being driven by concern for her son. I don&#8217;t think [Allman] questions that,” the judge said, ultimately determining that the reasons presented were based on “fears” but not on definite outcomes.
“That in and of itself is not basis for the court to appoint a probate conservatorship. I have not seen the evidence to grant a temporary, emergency conservatorship as of today,” the judge said in the ruling.
Cher had previously petitioned to become the sole conservator of her son’s estate in December, claiming that he is “substantially unable to manage his financial resources,” as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cher-files-for-conservatorship-of-son-elijah-for-severe-substance-abuse-issues">reported</a>.

The 77-year-old international pop star said her petition was “urgently needed … to protect Elijah’s property from loss or injury” because he is “currently unable to manage his assets due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues.”
Cher’s petition also mentioned Allman’s estranged wife, saying she should not be considered to fill the role of conservator. The document noted that “their tumultuous relationship has been marked by a cycle of drug addiction and mental health crises.”
Allman filed an objection to his mother&#8217;s petition claiming “no reason exists for the appointment of a conservator” because “there is simply no emergency that requires it.&#8221;
While he admitted that he &#8220;struggled with addiction and spent money in ways that have not always been the most responsible” in the past, he reported being on “a path to sobriety” and “under the care” of a doctor.

The petition says that Allman will receive assets from a trust before the end of the year, which is the reason for the filing at the time. It states that a conservator is &#8220;urgently needed &#8230; to protect Elijah’s property from loss or injury&#8221; because he is &#8220;currently unable to manage his assets due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues.&#8221;
The document notes how Allman’s estranged wife, Marieangela King, should not be considered for the role of conservator because &#8220;their tumultuous relationship has been marked by a cycle of drug addiction and mental health crises.&#8221;
&#8220;Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from the Trust, but given his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues, [Cher] is concerned that any funds distributed to Elijah will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting Elijah’s life at risk,&#8221; the petition says.
It also states how Cher has &#8220;worked tirelessly to get Elijah into treatment and get him the help he needs.&#8221;
&#8220;[Cher] loves Elijah immensely and has always acted with his best interests in mind,&#8221; it says, mentioning how the singer has been &#8220;unable to discuss his preferences concerning the appointment of a temporary conservator&#8221; because of his &#8220;current mental and physical health issues.&#8221;
The pop star had previously spoken to People about her experience as the parent of a child with substance abuse issues.

The comments backed up what the singer told <a href="https://www.papermag.com/cher-cover#rebelltitem17" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paper</a> Magazine on Thursday, which was that she &#8220;never liked&#8221; her &#8220;voice that much. If I had my choice, I probably would have another one, but I didn&#8217;t get my choice. I got my mother&#8217;s voice.&#8221;
Cher&#8217;s reaction to hearing the fake song was similar to Gomez&#8217;s, who recently called it &#8220;scary&#8221; after hearing an AI-generated cover version of a 2016 song by her ex-boyfriend The Weeknd called &#8220;Starboy.&#8221;
The clip featured the fake Gomez voice singing the song with a message translated from Turkish that read, &#8220;How did you find Selena&#8217;s viral cover of Starboy voiced with artificial intelligence?&#8221;

The 77-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">singer-songwriter</a> discussed some of the “difficult, challenging, exciting, interesting” moments of parenthood during an interview with <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2023-10-20/cher-christmas-biden-alexander-edwards">the Los Angeles Times</a> published Friday.
She started by saying parenting “wasn’t easy&#8221; with either of her husbands but that Sonny Bono was a “better father.” He and Cher married in 1969 and gave birth to their only child together, a daughter they named Chastity Sun Bono. 
Cher has been a &#8220;gay icon&#8221; for most of her career and was always supportive of LGBT communities. Cher&#8217;s daughter came out publicly as a lesbian in 1995. She became an advocate for many related causes, including the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), GLAAD, and National Coming Out Day, to name a few. Then, in 2008, the activist decided to “transition” to male and began going by the name Chaz. 
The story was eventually made into a documentary film called “Becoming Chaz,” which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

Cher acknowledged that getting used to seeing her child as someone else was hard.
“When Chaz went through the transition, that was difficult for me. It shouldn’t have been because, you know, I’ve had gay friends forever. I just met some beautiful trans chicks and we have an affinity. Now I’m totally fine,” Cher explained. 
She continued, “But it’s hard to lose one child to get a new one, especially so late. I think that was the hard thing for me. I don’t think it was the transition. It was waiting to see who the person would be, and would they be so much different than the person that was before them.” 
Cher had previously talked about her difficulty accepting Chaz’s new identity during a 2020 interview on CNN.
&#8220;It was very unlike me to — in the beginning — [having] a problem with Chaz being gay, and it disappeared like that. And then we talked about transgender for many years, and she would say, &#8216;No I don&#8217;t want to do it,&#8217; and then he went and said, &#8216;OK I want to do this.'&#8221;
&#8220;It wasn&#8217;t easy,&#8221; Cher said. &#8220;Like I remember calling, and the old message — the old Chaz message was on the phone — and that was very difficult. But then you have one child, but you don&#8217;t really lose them — they just are in a different shape.&#8221;

Superstar Cher has been accused by her daughter-in-law Marie King of kidnapping the singer&#8217;s troubled son — Elijah Blue Allman — and preventing the estranged couple&#8217;s alleged reconciliation, according to court documents in King&#8217;s ongoing divorce with Allman.
The accusations made last year against the 77-year-old singer/actress recently surfaced in legal filings obtained by <a href="https://people.com/cher-hired-men-kidnap-son-amid-divorce-proceedings-elijah-blue-allman-marie-king-allegations-7975529" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People magazine</a> in which King claimed that on the night of the estranged couple&#8217;s wedding anniversary the &#8220;Moonstruck&#8221; star allegedly hired a group of men to take her son from the former couple&#8217;s New York hotel room on Nov. 30, 2022 out of concern for him.
King said in the documents that they were trying to &#8220;reconcile&#8221; after they spent &#8220;12 days alone together from November 18-November 30, in New York, working on [their] marriage&#8221; when the alleged incident occurred.
Cher&#8217;s daughter-in-law also claimed in the legal filings that &#8220;one of the four men who took [Allman]&#8221; allegedly told &#8220;her that they were hired by (Elijah&#8217;s) mother, the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12558351/Cher-son-Elijah-Blue-Allman-strung-Chateau-Marmont.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Mail</a> noted.

&#8220;I am currently unaware of my husband&#8217;s wellbeing or whereabouts,&#8221; King said in the documents at the time. &#8220;I am very concerned and worried about him.&#8221;
&#8220;I understand his family&#8217;s efforts to make sure he is well, and I want what is best for my husband,&#8221; she added.
King also reportedly accused her mother-in-law of asking her to leave her home with Allman without retrieving &#8220;all my belongings from my primary home and residence&#8221; when Elijah reportedly went to receive medical care at a facility that was not disclosed to her in August 2022, the Daily Mail noted.
Allman is one of Cher&#8217;s two children. She shares Elijah with second husband, the late rock great Gregg Allman.
Elijah and King tied the knot in 2013, but never had any children. Allman said previously the two split in 2020.
In a 2014 interview, Cher&#8217;s son talked about his battle with drug addictions like heroin before he said he finally got sober in 2008, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/news/143189_Elijah_Blue_Allman_Opens_Up_About_Heroin_Abuse" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Entertainment Tonight</a> reported.
&#8220;I started with drugs around the same time that we all did, around 11,&#8221; Elijah said of using weed and ecstasy.  &#8220;I mean it&#8217;s just what you did, it&#8217;s just what everybody did.&#8221;
&#8220;I [was] just looking to escape all the things in my past and, that&#8217;s when you turn to those kind of drugs, you know heroin and opiates,&#8221; he added. &#8220;[Heroin] kind of saved me … If I didn&#8217;t have that at that point, I don&#8217;t know what I would have done …You may jump off a bridge. If you can only just go through that time period and live through it and then get help.&#8221;
But he admitted he almost died after overdosing.
&#8220;I did have some close calls and some moments of really feeling at the edge of mortality &#8230; I always kind of kept it a little bit safe but you never can do that,&#8221; Allman told the outlet.

In a follow-up, Cher said she refused to engage with naysayers concerned about the age gap.
“I’m Not Defending us,” she <a href="https://twitter.com/cher/status/1589299132690272262">wrote</a>. “Haters are Gonna Hate…Doesn’ [sic] Matter…That we’re Happy &amp; Not Bothering Anyone.”
Edwards was previously in a relationship with Kanye West&#8217;s ex Amber Rose, 39. The two have a three-year-old son together. He admitted to cheating on Rose after she accused him of having affairs with multiple women this summer.

“Donatella and I have been dear friends for a lifetime,” Cher said in a statement. “It just felt right for our very first collaboration to be one about LGBTQ Pride and celebrating a community that means so incredibly much to both of us. We wanted to make a fun collection supporting a good case [sic], and we hope you like it.”
Donatella Versace said, “It has always been a dream to collaborate with Cher, and it’s finally come true. I’m delighted that we can support such a brilliant charity that has such a positive impact, particularly on young people.”
Gender Spectrum is a nonprofit that provides resources for parents of children who are part of the LGBTQ community. Its <a href="https://www.genderspectrum.org/about/our-mission-and-vision">website</a> says that it works to &#8220;support them [caregivers] as they navigate their child’s journey,” and that the group connects &#8220;young people to similar spaces, where they can be seen and validated for who they are.”
The nonprofit also boasts that it has one of the oldest conferences for transgender youth and their families in the country. The organization “envision[s] a world that is affirming and inclusive of children and teens of all genders.”
The Versace website promotes the new collection with a video that seems to have been inspired by Shakespeare’s “Romeo &amp; Juliet.” 
“Two icons, both alike in diva energy. In Pride Month, where we celebrate the scene. From long-held friendship to new love and unity. Where Cher and Versace make, Chersace,” the narrator says.
Versace posted the video on its social media and promoted Gender Spectrum there as well.
“Gender Spectrum works to create gender sensitive and inclusive environments for all children and teens by providing online programs, resources and information that young people, parents and families can use to further their understanding of gender and learn the value of parental and adult support,” the caption says.
THR notes how Versace’s parent company Capri Holdings recently established the Versace Foundation, which “is aimed at fostering, promoting and supporting programs that generate awareness and support for the LGBTQ community.”
Capri Holdings also pledged $10 million to the foundation.

On Wednesday, Fox News’ meteorologist Janice Dean, who had relentlessly pursued New York Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo for his mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic, targeted celebrities who had lavished praise on Cuomo but still have not apologized for their championing of him.
She tweeted, “It would be very helpful if some of these celebrities that fawned over @andrewcuomo fessed up to their terrible judgement and apologized to the women and families affected by their tone deaf comments last year. But they won’t. “

Dean then named some celebrities who had lauded Cuomo last year, including Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Joel, Billy Crystal, Rosie Perez, Ben Stiller, Chelsea Handler, Sarah Silverman, and Cher.

Billy Joel added, “In the midst of this storm, Andrew Cuomo became the nation&#8217;s governor. People across the country tuned into his press conferences every day.” Perez stated, “Governor Andrew Cuomo, you are the man.” Stiller: “I look up to you still.”
Joel wrote of Cuomo <a href="https://vermilioncountyfirst.com/2020/03/31/billy-joel-wife-salute-governor-andrew-cuomo/">on his website</a> in March 2020, “We are not at all surprised by his leadership during such a chaotic time and we are so proud of him. We’re lucky to call him ‘The Godfather,’ his favorite title, and our friend.”
In March 2020, Handler penned an <a href="https://www.vogue.com/article/chelsea-handler-andrew-cuomo-love-letter">article in Vogue</a> with the gushing title, “Dear Andrew Cuomo, I Want to Be Your First Lady.” She wrote:
