Reid began with a brief assessment of the January 6 pipe bomb case, noting that President Donald Trump’s Justice Department had wrapped that up rather neatly and pointedly asking what Garland had been up to that he couldn’t get the job done.
“I don’t understand why he escapes the smoke. Even the Epstein files thing. I’m like, wait a minute. You’re telling me nine months into this administration, the podcast guys are claiming they caught the — now, I don’t know if this young man is the person that put the pipe bombs … but I know they said we solved the case in nine months,” Reid said.
“Merrick Garland was there for four years. What were you doing?” she complained. “The Epstein files. Merrick, what were you doing? For four years? You had the same evidence, the same files. Why didn’t you release them? Merrick Garland did, to me, nothing for four years. He might as well not have been there.”
With regard to the Epstein Files, the Justice Department is currently working to comply with the recently passed legislation mandating the release of all relevant documents that do not contain classified materials.

Comedian and podcaster Andrew Schulz went scorched earth on the hypocrites who he said were celebrating the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, only to turn around and demand “due process” for suspected narco-terrorists attempting to flood the United States with illegal drugs.

Popular radio host Charlamagne tha God claimed on Tuesday that he believed the best possible messenger for the Democratic Party in the current political climate was Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), an outspoken and persistent foil of President Donald Trump and his administration.
Charlamagne raised the issue just after a handful of Democratic senators voted with Republicans to reopen the federal government, effectively ending the longest shutdown in history, despite the fact that Democrats had just delivered electoral victories in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City.

“Jasmine Crockett is actually what the Democrats should be leaning into. Because she is a phenomenal messenger,” he said during an appearance on the “Hot and Bothered” podcast with host Melyssa Ford. “And some people just got it, like some people just have a different anointing on them. You don&#8217;t know why certain people cause folks to gravitate towards them.”
“To me it&#8217;s more than Jasmine Crockett having that moment with Marjorie Taylor Greene where she was like &#8216;bad-built bleach body,&#8217; whatever it is,” he continued. “If you watch her in these congressional meetings, she&#8217;s always on message about something.”
“You need somebody like Jasmine Crockett right now,” he declared, adding, “She&#8217;s the most effective messenger that the Democratic Party has right now. Popular New York radio host Charlamagne tha God told Democrats that it’s time to admit defeat and end the government shutdown.
&#8220;The healthcare is going up anyway because the ‘Big Beautiful Bill&#8217; didn&#8217;t include the extension of the tax credits to keep the cost down. So, if it&#8217;s going up anyway, what&#8217;s the point of continuing to take a stand for people&#8217;s healthcare not to go up?&#8221; he said during Monday’s episode of “The Breakfast Club.&#8221;
Contributor Mimi Brown agreed, mentioning that people have already received information from healthcare providers about their revised premiums because open enrollment has already occurred.
&#8220;And the premiums are set for a year,&#8221; Charlamagne added. &#8220;So at this point, if the premiums have already gone up, if they’re set for a year, at least give the people some relief and get the government back open.&#8221;
He went on to address how the Democrats remain stubborn on the issue.
&#8220;Democrats, you fought. It seems like you lost the fight. At this point, you know, go on and give it up,&#8221; the host went on. &#8220;At least give the people some relief by getting the government back open. Let these people get these SNAP benefits. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) also took a stand against his party this week, saying the Democrats need to “own the shutdown” as the government closure drags on into its second month.
Fetterman expressed his frustration that tens of millions of Americans are losing their SNAP benefits, calling it “one of the big reasons” why he broke from his party.
“And again, I feel like the Democrats really need to own the shutdown. “I don’t think that the subjective definition of life is how we define life,” Shapiro said. “We all agree, for example, that a one-month-old baby should not be drowned. Right, we all agree on that. And that’s not up to the personal … and the question is, well, why? Because we now understand that the one-month-old baby, everyone agrees with this, right, that — except for Peter Singer at Princeton — that a one-month-old baby has an independent interest in life.”

Charlamagne then weighed in then, saying he would argue that life began when there was a heartbeat.

Shapiro also shot down the argument that rape and incest are a reason to keep abortion legal. 
“People choose that argument because it&#8217;s the hardest one to make emotionally from the pro-life side … but the vast majority of abortions have nothing to do with rape or incest,” he said.

During a debate on Social Security on CNN, Shapiro explained to the panelists how the entitlement program works and how it’s on a path to bankruptcy. 
First, Shapiro shot down the idea pushed by Phillip that Social Security is just a system in which Americans “pay into” to receive that money back at retirement.
“Well no,” Shapiro shot back, adding, “I promise you the amount that people are taking out is not the amount that is going in, which is why we are going bankrupt.”

Later in the panel discussion, Ana Kasparian, host of the leftist show, “The Young Turks,” argued that spending on defense and foreign aid was a bigger problem pushing the country toward bankruptcy than Social Security. 
“You don’t think the trillions of dollars we’ve spent on wars in the Middle East might have something to do with that?” she asked. 
“That is not even remotely a percentage of what we spend on Social Security,” Shapiro replied. And, of course, he was correct. In 2024, Social Security accounted for 21% of the federal budget, totaling $1.5 trillion. Defense spending, meanwhile, made up 13% of the budget, or $872 billion.

Shapiro joined Charlamagne on his popular radio program &#8220;The Breakfast Club&#8221; to discuss his new book, &#8220;<a href="https://store.dailywire.com/collections/ben-shapiro/products/lions-and-scavengers">Lions &amp; Scavengers: The True Story of America</a>,&#8221; and the topic shifted to Shapiro&#8217;s pro-life stance — which quickly turned into a discussion on when life begins and what the abortion debate is truly about: whether life in the womb deserves the same legal status and protections as does life outside the womb.
&#8220;It&#8217;s very, like, per person,&#8221; cohost Jess Hilarious said of abortion, arguing that the choice should always be left up to the woman because no one else could feel what she was feeling or should be allowed to judge what she chose to do.
&#8220;You&#8217;re talking about what a woman should be allowed to do. I&#8217;m talking about the definition of personhood of the separate person inside the woman,&#8221; Shapiro pushed back, saying that the real question was not about a woman&#8217;s rights, but about whether or not the baby she was carrying had rights independent of hers.
When Jess said that she personally believed abortions should happen &#8220;earlier&#8221; — recognizing that the emotional toll on the woman was greater as the pregnancy progressed — Shapiro carried the argument out to its obvious end.

Cohost DJ Envy stepped in then, saying that Shapiro was &#8220;playing with semantics&#8221; and asking whether he would feel the same way if his daughter was raped.
&#8220;It&#8217;s not semantics, either it&#8217;s a life or it&#8217;s not,&#8221; Shapiro said.
DJ Envy continued to press the point, asking Shapiro whether he&#8217;d force his daughter to carry a baby conceived in rape or incest.
&#8220;What I&#8217;m saying there is I don&#8217;t believe in abortion in cases of rape and incest,&#8221; Shapiro confirmed, adding, &#8220;The practical effect is horrible, okay? I&#8217;m not going to pretend that it is not emotionally horrifying, that particular situation. The question is whether it has an independent interest in life or not, and whether there is a third party involved &#8230; we should understand that&#8217;s the actual conversation.&#8221;

Popular radio host Charlamagne tha God highlighted the obvious double standard on display in the way media outlets cover President Donald Trump compared to the way they cover almost anyone else — but especially Democrats — using the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein as an example.
During his radio show &#8220;The Breakfast Club&#8221; on Tuesday, he pointed out the fact that former President Bill Clinton had been repeatedly linked to Epstein — but it was any connection to Trump, no matter how nebulous or even benign — that was poked, prodded, and explored ad nauseam by American media outlets.

&#8220;It&#8217;s just funny how the news works,&#8221; Charlamagne said, referencing a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-files-massive-libel-lawsuit-against-wall-street-journal-over-fake-epstein-letter">report</a> — over which President Trump has filed a libel lawsuit — from The Wall Street Journal stating that Trump had written Epstein a letter that was included in a birthday book.
&#8220;Because Bill Clinton wrote a letter to Jeffrey Epstein as well for his birthday — but nobody&#8217;s talking about that,&#8221; Charlamagne added. &#8220;And Jeffrey Epstein had a picture of Bill Clinton in a dress, in high heels, you know, in his New York mansion, but nobody&#8217;s talking about that.&#8221;
&#8220;My thing is this,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I don&#8217;t care who&#8217;s on the list, everybody gotta go. Burn it all down. Like — it&#8217;s just simple as that, mutually assured destruction, whoever&#8217;s on that list needs to go, nobody needs to be protecting pedophiles, I don&#8217;t care what party they are.&#8221;
Morgyn Wood, White House correspondent for the Black Information Network, weighed in then, arguing that Trump was only in the spotlight because he happened to be the sitting President of the United States. She failed to mention the fact that when former President Joe Biden was in office, legacy media outlets had showed an aggressive lack of curiosity in his obvious cognitive decline.
&#8220;No, period. And you know, to that point, though, you know Clinton is not the president right now,&#8221; Wood protested. &#8220;You know, if he was, you think that — anyways, yeah. I think he would still be under scrutiny if he was the president right now.&#8221;
&#8220;No, he wouldn&#8217;t — because liberal media wouldn&#8217;t push the issue,&#8221; Charlamagne shot back.

Popular radio host Charlamagne Tha God admitted that he&#8217;s a fan of at least one Republican commentator who regularly appears on CNN — Scott Jennings — primarily because he believes that Jennings is not using his appearances on the network to exacerbate political divisions.
Charlamagne explained that while he and Jennings were often on opposite sides of the issues, he believed that Jennings was there to drive thoughtful conversations — and he wished that CNN would bring in more commentators who felt similarly about the job.

The Democrats are in disarray, and that’s not a partisan talking point.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/democrats-flail-schumer-fails" target="_blank" rel="noopener">days in charge may be waning</a>. Polling suggests the Democrat brand is at a shocking low. Progressives keep taking the 20 side of 80/20 debates like trans women competing against biological female athletes.
And the GOP controls the White House, the Senate and the House, the latter albeit by a whisker.
Enter three Hollywood liberals who grasp their party’s sorry state. They’re rarities in this space, willing to share contrary views no matter the consequences.
They may be truth tellers, full stop. Perhaps they understand their party is making a mad dash for the electoral cliff and they want them to stop before they fall to their doom.
Take Bill Maher. He’s been a constant presence in pop culture for decades, first on ABC’s “Politically Incorrect” and now via “Real Time with Bill Maher” and the “Club Random” podcast.
And, for all of that time, he’s been a proud liberal with a dash of Libertarianism for good measure.

Maher has hated President Donald Trump from the jump and takes delight in mocking GOP figures like former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. He once <a href="https://www.hollywoodintoto.com/flashback-bill-maher-trashed-sarah-palin-family-inbred/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">mocked her family</a> as a clan of “inbred weirdos” straight out of “The Hills Have Eyes” movie that featured mutant killers.
Palin’s child has Down Syndrome.
Yet in recent years Maher has been one of the Left’s most ardent critics. He’s savaged fellow progressives on the <a href="https://www.imdb.com/news/ni64058436/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Woke Mind Virus</a>, to use a certain billionaire’s phrase.
He even sided with President Trump recently regarding the move to pull funding from Columbia University for <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2025/03/08/maher-trumps-right-to-pull-some-funds-from-columbia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">failing to protect Jewish students</a>.
Maher regularly invites conservative guests on his “Club Random” show and recently stood up to guest Don Lemon for calling <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bill-maher-shuts-down-don-lemons-racist-comments-about-black-trump-supporters" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Black MAGA supporters irrational.</a>
Radio show titan Charlamagne Tha God also refuses to toe the party line 24/7. The host of “The Breakfast Club” radio show often clashes with the progressive groupthink, much to the shock of many Democrats.
Recently, Charlamagne Tha God questioned why his fellow Democrats were fighting to stop Team Trump from <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/charlamagne-tha-god-asks-why-anyones-raising-hell-over-gang-members-being-sent-away" target="_blank" rel="noopener">deporting dangerous illegal immigrants</a>.
“Like, there are some other deportation cases, I’m sure they could be fighting about, like folks who’ve been in this country for a long time, not committing no crimes, paying taxes, but have gotten caught up in the process,” he added. “Those are folks they should be fighting for. Why are they raising hell about a gang being deported?”

It’s a question few liberal celebrities are willing to ask. It’s one of many reasons the polls have been so cruel to modern-day Democrats.
He also defended rappers like Snoop Dogg from hardcore Leftists for performing at Trump’s second inaugural gala. You can’t savage stars for doing that while letting Democrats off the hook after they said Trump was Hitler 2.0 and a threat to democracy.
Those same politicians lined up to congratulate Trump following his 2024 electoral victory.
“We know why the rappers did what they did. We know why they’re doing it. They got paid. What’s the politicians’ excuse for normalizing Trump?”
The talker even called the “lawfare” attacks on Trump <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2025/01/13/charlamagne-tha-god-calls-prosecution-of-trump-pure-political-theater-ridiculous-watching-liberals-celebrate-this/">pure “theater</a>.” That’s something you’ll never hear on the late-night TV circuit or “Saturday Night Live.” It also resonates with voters across the political spectrum.
Few celebrities haunted President Trump quite like Michael Rapaport. The star of “Atypical,” “Beautiful Girls,” and many other projects used his podcast and social media to savage the president at every turn.
The <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/michael-rapaport-threatens-hog-tie-032648035.html">word “pig”</a> may be the only one suitable for family-friendly consumption.
That was then. In recent months, Rapaport has been busy attacking his own side on many fronts. 
Take <a href="https://www.hollywoodintoto.com/michael-rapaport-trump-charlottesville-lie/">the “Very Fine People” hoax</a>. The actor initially fell for it and blasted Trump via his social media platforms. He later learned the media had fed him a false narrative. He could have stayed quiet about it, but he had to speak out.
“When you see the full quote, that wasn’t what [Trump] said and I ranted on him hard for that, hard … I was like, ‘what are you talking about, man?&#8217;” Rapaport recalled.
Remember, Joe Biden launched his last presidential campaign with that lie.
How many liberal celebrities would not only do their own research on a chronic anti-Trump narrative but later go public with a mea culpa? That’s rhetorical.

The actor also has repeatedly lashed out at Hollywood liberals for staying silent on the Hamas hostage ordeal. He even starred in a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5esBxX5YoI&amp;t=26s">faux Oscars sketch</a> where he used his monologue to mock activist celebrities for standing down when they should be screaming for the hostages’ release
This all matters because the vast majority of Hollywood liberals refuse to concede their party’s current, sorry state. We’ve recently seen late-night hosts take delight in domestic terrorist attacks against Tesla dealerships, for example, just to burnish their anti-DOGE, anti-Musk bona fides.
Both Jimmy Kimmel and “The Daily Show’s” Jordan Klepper teed up images of burning Teslas while their audiences clapped in approval.
That cruelty may appease the hardcore Democratic base, but it’s surely alienating left-leaning voters and independents alike.
As a result, Democrats will double down on their deeply unpopular beliefs. They might even watch as their polling numbers droop anew.
They’d be wise to follow Maher, Charlamagne Tha God and Rapaport. The trio is trying to save fellow Democrats from themselves. Their warnings still may fall on deaf ears, meaning the 2028 election cycle could look suspiciously like 2024 for Democrats.

Radio host Charlamagne tha God wants to know why folks are “raising hell” about “gang members being sent away” following the deportation of more than 250 alleged illegal gang members.
During “The Breakfast Club” <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azcI8tlH1Cc">radio show</a> on Tuesday, the hosts discussed comments made by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about the Trump administration’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/these-are-the-monsters-trump-admin-deported-over-250-gang-members-to-el-salvador">deportation</a> of more than 250 illegal alien gang members to El Salvador over the weekend. Those prisoners included 21 MS-13 gang members and more than 230 Tren de Aragua members, Leavitt noted on Monday. Trump’s administration said it has <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2025/03/15/donald-trump-invokes-alien-enemies-act-wartime-powers-proclamation-targets-venezuela-tren-de-aragua-gangs-apprehension-detention-removal/">used</a> his legal authority of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport them.

“This [is] why I want to know more when it comes to the deportations,” Charlamagne said. “Because deporting illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, I understand that. So why are folks fighting about gang members being sent away?”
“Like, there are some other deportation cases, I’m sure they could be fighting about, like folks who’ve been in this country for a long time, not committing no crimes, paying taxes, but have gotten caught up in the process,” he added. “Those are folks they should be fighting for. Why are they raising hell about a gang being deported?”
One of the cohosts on the show, DJ Envy, agreed and said he understands the idea of “due process,” but added, “If they a gang member and they have warrants, nah. Like who are we fighting for?”
“Are we fighting for good people or are we fighting for people that&#8217;ve been paying their taxes … or are we fighting for gang members?” he added.
On Saturday, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg issued an order demanding that the deportations cease. The Trump administration ignored this order, and has since said that the flights were already in the air when the order was issued, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/unafraid-to-double-down-karoline-leavitt-addresses-viral-videos-showing-deportations-of-illegals">reported</a>. The White House is arguing that the judge did not have any “lawful basis” for such an order.
A group of Democratic senators also issued a <a href="https://www.durbin.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/durbin-padilla-booker-welch-statement-on-trump-invoking-the-alien-enemies-act-to-target-immigrants-without-due-process">statement</a> condemning Saturday’s deportations and Trump invoking &#8220;the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport noncitizens without due process,” it read. 
“This attempt to use an archaic wartime law—not used since World War II—for immigration enforcement is yet another unlawful and brazen power grab,&#8221; it added. &#8220;Let’s be clear: we are not at war, and immigrants are not invading our country. Furthermore, courts determine whether people have broken the law—not a president acting alone, and not immigration agents picking and choosing who gets imprisoned or deported … These protections are there to help ensure U.S. citizens aren’t wrongfully deported, or people who haven’t committed a crime aren’t wrongfully punished,” the statement continued.

Radio host Charlamagne Tha God blasted Maine Democrat Governor Janet Mills for continuing to focus on the “losing” transgender athlete issue, saying America’s not with the party&#8217;s views on the matter.
Speaking on his show “<a href="https://rumble.com/v6op9qo-charlamagne-blasts-maines-dem-gov-over-maintaining-losing-stance-on-trans-a.html">The Breakfast Club</a>” on Monday, the host &#8212; born Lenard Larry McKelvey &#8212; said he can’t understand why the Democrat politician is pushing for trans-identifying males to continue competing in women’s sports when it was one of the main issues that helped people vote for President Donald Trump over former Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Why are folks still talking about trans athletes? Like, that is a losing talking point. America’s not with it, and they keep making a micro a macro with that conversation,” the radio host said. “It impacts such a small, small group of people, but it makes a whole lot of people think folks lack common sense, so why are they even having that conversation?”

“And I can’t believe it’s states that still want to die on that hill,” he added. “Like, none of these states have a high percentage of trans athletes, so what’s the issue?”
The hosts debated why Democrats might be making it an issue, and Charlamagne said it makes no sense with the fact that “there’s not a high percentage of trans athletes in the country period.”
The host&#8217;s comments came after things got heated between <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCn3BiGg9hI" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Trump </a>and Mills at the White House on Friday after the president called out the Democrat when he asked her if she was going to comply with his executive order banning trans-identifying men from competing in women’s sports, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-spars-with-maines-dem-governor-over-men-in-womens-sports-at-white-house">reported</a>.
“Well, we are the federal law. … You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funding at all if you don’t,” Trump said.
Mills replied, “We’ll see you in court.”
“Good! I’ll see you in court,” the president said. “I look forward to that. That should be a really easy one.”
“And enjoy your life after, governor, because I don’t think you’ll be in elected politics,” he added.
The exchange came after Maine’s Department of Education <a href="https://www.wmtw.com/article/maine-defy-trump-order-allow-transgender-athletes-girls-sports/63801175" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said </a>it would not comply with Trump’s executive order titled “Keeping Men Out Of Women’s Sports.” 
The Maine Principals’ Association <a href="https://www.themainewire.com/2025/02/maine-to-continue-to-allow-boys-to-compete-in-girls-sports-in-in-defiance-of-trump-executive-order/">said</a> earlier this month that the state would allow males to continue competing in girls’ and women’s sports, despite Trump&#8217;s EO.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/charlamagne-tha-god" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlamagne tha God</a> torched those upset about the rappers who performed during the various <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/inauguration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">inauguration</a> events for President Donald Trump.
During “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrcyvZdINdo&amp;t=288s">The Breakfast Club</a>” on Tuesday, the radio host blasted people who slammed rappers like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-isnt-politics-rapper-nelly-defends-decision-to-perform-at-trumps-inaugural-ball" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nelly</a> and Snoop Dogg for being part of the inauguration celebrations ahead of Trump&#8217;s swearing-in — but made no comment about the Democrats who were there for the festivities as well.
“The hypocrisy that people display in regards to who they like and don’t like is mind-blowing to me,” Charlamagne said.

“Like, there is no way you are more mad at rappers for performing at these inauguration events than you are at the elected officials who told us Trump was a ‘fascist,’ a ‘threat to democracy,’ a ‘danger to our country and the Constitution,’” he added. “They likened him to Hitler, but then folks like [Joe Biden] just welcomed him back in the White House.”

“[Barack Obama] was sharing a good laugh with him at the funeral of President [Jimmy] Carter,” the host continued. “We know why the rappers did what they did. We know why they’re doing it. They got paid. What’s the politicians’ excuse for normalizing Trump?”
The host said if you are going to blast the rappers, those same people should be blowing up on Biden, Obama, and “all the other elected officials who got us all riled up and scared only to turn around and have tea with a man they likened to Hitler.”

Charlamagne tha God said any attacks on Snoop and Nelly were “inconsequential” compared to Biden and Obama, who he said “played in our faces. That’s just my personal opinion.”
The host recently made headlines when he slammed liberals who he said were celebrating the sentencing of Trump in his hush money trial, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/charlamagne-tha-god-slams-liberals-for-celebrating-trump-sentencing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
During his radio <a href="https://x.com/charliekirk11/status/1878841065807184015">show</a>, the host said that liberals were being ridiculous for making more out of the sentencing by Judge Juan Merchan in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-sentenced-to-an-unconditional-discharge-in-hush-money-trial">New York case</a> — related to hush money paid to Stephanie Clifford, a porn actress who goes by the name Stormy Daniels — than they should.
“What a waste of time. I mean, what a waste of time. Pure political theater,” he said. “They was never, ever going to convict a former or sitting president of nothing.”
“And what was even more ridiculous was watching liberals celebrate this,” he added. “Like, this is not a win. Who cares if you can call him a convicted felon when you still got to call him president for the next four years? Who cares?”
