Left-wing political commentator <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/charlamagne-tha-god" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlamagne Tha God</a> urged Democrats to stuff President Joe Biden back in the basement after he put on a Trump hat this week following the debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
Slamming Biden, he said: &#8220;A day after your vice president has a phenomenal debate against the former president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, you, Mr. President, decided to put on a hat that says ‘Trump 2024.'&#8221;
&#8220;That doesn’t seem like a show of support for your vice president to me. This race is going to be tight, okay?&#8221; he continued, adding that the only way that Democrats can win is if they get extremely high voter turn out from their base.
&#8220;So, when you know you need that kind of turnout, why as the sitting president would you wear a hat in support of a person who is the op of your running mate?&#8221; he asked. &#8220;He is an op in regards to your administration. You, President Biden, you call him a threat to democracy. Okay, if he’s a threat to democracy, why are you wearing paraphernalia that supports him being president in 2024? You said you did it as a gesture of unity. You can’t call someone a threat to democracy and then wear their paraphernalia and want to be unified with them. Nobody who opposed Nazis would ever wear something with a swastika on it.&#8221;

Left-wing political commentator Charlamagne Tha God, whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey, said over the weekend that Vice President Kamala Harris picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate because she needed a &#8220;DEI hire.&#8221;
McKelvey made the remarks during a Sunday interview with Jonathan Karl on ABC News&#8217; &#8220;This Week&#8221; while talking about the state of the 2024 presidential election.
&#8220;I just found out about him over the last couple of weeks,&#8221; he said. &#8220;At first, I was a little bit disappointed like I knew she — we knew she needed a DEI hire, right?&#8221;
&#8220;So Tim Walz is the DEI hire on this ticket?&#8221; Karl asked. &#8220;Diversity, equity, inclusion.&#8221;
&#8220;Absolutely,&#8221; McKelvey responded. &#8220;She needed a white male to make America comfortable. It is what it is. No need for us to, you know, act crazy about it. You know what it is.&#8221;
McKelvey then falsely claimed that Harris had &#8220;very moderate&#8221; policy positions despite the fact that she was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/60-minutes-host-tells-harris-she-is-the-most-far-left-member-of-u-s-senate-harris-struggles-to-respond">ranked</a> as the most far-left U.S. Senator.
McKelvey said that Harris needed to step up, stop hiding because she is afraid, and do interviews and press conferences.

“I don’t want to hear nothing from former President Obama and then about a process or an open primary because y’all didn’t care about primaries a year ago when people were calling for them against Biden,” the radio host said. “So, don’t start caring about primaries now.”
“Yeah, I don’t disagree with that at all,” Rye replied. “Actually, like I said, I was really frustrated with President Obama. We’ve talked about this before, but when I was the executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus, any time we were on the other side of President Obama, it was a real frustrating moment.”

McKelvey, who is on the political Left, took numerous shots at Republicans throughout the discussion, saying that &#8220;the crooks are the Republicans&#8221; and that former President Donald Trump was a threat to democracy.
When asked why Biden&#8217;s messaging was not resonating with voters, McKelvey said the president was &#8220;just an uninspiring candidate, there&#8217;s nothing about Joe Biden that makes you want to listen to him.&#8221;
&#8220;That&#8217;s why he should be leaning on his vice president, Kamala Harris, who is way more charismatic than him,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;He should be leaning on other surrogates like [California Governor] Gavin Newsom or [Governor Josh] Shapiro in Pennsylvania.&#8221;
McKelvey said Biden should be &#8220;the brains of the operation behind the scenes&#8221; because he &#8220;has no main character energy at all. None.&#8221;
When asked if age had anything to do with Biden&#8217;s problem, McKelvey said: &#8220;I don&#8217;t think it has anything to do with age, I think it has just everything to do with him. Charlamagne tha God, the co-host of &#8220;The Breakfast Club&#8221; who was born Lenard Larry McKelvey, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/01/02/biden-charlamagne-tha-god-00132784" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spoke to POLITICO</a> about his break with Harris after her nearly three years in the White House.
&#8220;I’ve learned my lesson from doing that,&#8221; he told the news outlet. &#8220;Once they got in the White House, she … kind of disappeared.&#8221;

A little more than two years ago, Harris <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-kamala-harris-explodes-when-asked-whos-the-real-president-of-this-country" target="_blank" rel="noopener">erupted during an interview</a> when Charlamagne asked her who was the real President of the United States.
After an aide to Harris tried to cut the interview short, claiming that there was an audio problem, Charlamagne pressed, “Is it [Sen.] Joe Manchin or Joe Biden, Madam Vice President?” To which Harris responded, “Come on, Charlamagne. Come on. It’s Joe Biden.&#8221;
Charlamagne quipped, “I can’t tell sometimes,” after which Harris shot back, &#8220;No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No. It’s Joe Biden. And don’t start talking like a Republican about asking whether or not he’s president. And it’s Joe Biden &#8230; and I’m vice president and my name is Kamala Harris.”
POLITICO noted that Charlamagne does not expect Harris or President Joe Biden to appear on &#8220;The Breakfast Club&#8221; during the current election cycle in which they are seeking a second term amid <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-harris-responds-to-polls-that-show-shes-the-worst-rated-vp-in-history" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poor approval numbers</a> and <a href="https://www.bet.com/article/z43hfs/genforward-poll-biden-losing-support-black-voters-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dropping support</a> among black voters.

&#8220;The Daily Show&#8221; guest host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/charlamagne-tha-god" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlamagne Tha God</a> begged President Joe Biden not to run for a second term, saying that it could be the &#8220;ultimate Christmas gift&#8221; to America.
During the radio personality&#8217;s opening monologue on Wednesday, Charlamagne — born Lenard McKelvey — urged the president to step away from the 2024 race so he said the party can beat likely Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump.
&#8220;This is Biden&#8217;s ego talking, okay,&#8221; the radio host told the audience. &#8220;If you think there are other people who can beat him [Trump] step aside. I know you think you&#8217;ve got this in the bag &#8230; but the polls say otherwise.&#8221;
&#8220;I want Biden stepping in to beat Trump the way I want him to defend me at a bar fight,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I appreciate you caring, but I don&#8217;t like our chances.&#8221;

The radio host argued that Biden&#8217;s &#8220;not getting any younger&#8221; or any &#8220;more popular&#8221; and said the president&#8217;s also not getting a new running mate, i.e. Vice President Kamala Harris.

In September, the radio personality took a swipe at Biden for his inauthentic behavior at a Black Caucus event, labeling Biden the &#8220;Donkey of The Day,&#8221; as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/donkey-of-the-day-radio-host-slams-biden-for-inauthentic-behavior-at-black-caucus-event" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
While most slammed Biden after the event for referring to famed rapper and actor LL Cool J as a &#8220;boy,&#8221; Charlamagne said the part he found &#8220;egregious&#8221; was that the president also got the rapper&#8217;s name wrong, calling him &#8220;LL J Cool J.&#8221;
&#8220;LL Cool J has been White-famous for at least 35 years,&#8221; Charlamagne told his listeners. &#8220;There&#8217;s not too many more recognizable celebrities on the planet. It&#8217;s not like Joe Biden was speaking on somebody relatively new, someone he wasn&#8217;t familiar with in any way, shape, or form. It&#8217;s LL Cool J.&#8221;
&#8220;This is a prime example of it doesn&#8217;t matter how many black people you are around, doesn&#8217;t matter how many black people you have in your administration &#8230; if it&#8217;s not authentic to him, then it won&#8217;t come off as authentic to anyone,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Y&#8217;all keep trying to make this 197-year-old man sound cool simply because he&#8217;s talking to black people, and there&#8217;s nothing more uncool than someone trying too hard to be cool.&#8221;

Former South Carolina Governor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nikki-haley-china-has-already-infiltrated-america-biden-asleep-at-the-wheel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nikki Haley</a> responded to leftist radio host and TV personality <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/charlamagne-tha-god-praises-nikki-haleys-push-for-mental-competency-tests-age-limits-for-elected-officials" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlamagne Tha God</a> Wednesday after he pressed the Republican presidential candidate on why she doesn’t “play the identity politics game.”
Charlamagne questioned Haley, an Indian-American who is also the only female candidate in the Republican field, on why she doesn’t go along with the identity politics playbook so often used by Democrats.  
&#8220;Why don&#8217;t you play the identity politics game, though?&#8221; Charlamagne <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG2Gphe-Xws" target="_blank" rel="noopener">asked</a> Haley while guest hosting &#8220;The Daily Show.&#8221; &#8220;Because that&#8217;s something Democrats like to do. They always talk about how diverse they are. Why don&#8217;t you get into the identity politics game and play up being Indian more? Because a lot of voters just think you&#8217;re a white woman.&#8221;
Haley responded, arguing that identity politics divides people, while she wants to seek unity. 
&#8220;We were the only Indian family in a small rural southern town in South Carolina. We weren&#8217;t white enough to be white. We weren&#8217;t black enough to be black,&#8221; said Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the UN. &#8220;And I remember when I would get teased on the playground and I would come home, my mom would always say &#8216;Your job is not to show them how you&#8217;re different, your job is to show them how you&#8217;re similar.&#8217; And that lesson on the playground has played out throughout my life, whether it was in the corporate world, whether it was as governor, whether it was as ambassador.&#8221;
&#8220;I think the problem is when you start labeling people, you&#8217;re assuming that they&#8217;re different than you. I don&#8217;t want to just be a woman. I don&#8217;t want to just be Indian,&#8221; she added. &#8220;I don&#8217;t want to just be a mom. I don&#8217;t want to just be a Republican. I don&#8217;t want to just be all of those things. I&#8217;m more than that. And I think every person is more than that.&#8221; 
Charlamagne pushed the issue further, claiming there is “sexism in the GOP” and asking Haley if she thinks being a woman hurts her chances at getting the nomination in the Republican Party. 
&#8220;I don&#8217;t worry about being a woman at all,&#8221; she shot back. &#8220;I mean, I wear heels. It&#8217;s not for a fashion statement. It&#8217;s because if I get mad, you know, I&#8217;m ready to kick any time. And I think that people have always respected me because they know I do my homework, they know I fight for what I believe in and I tell the truth. I tell the hard truths whether they want to hear it or not. And I think that&#8217;s where I&#8217;ve always been different.&#8221;

Haley has brought up her female status and Indian background during her presidential campaign but <a href="https://share.snipd.com/chapter/d837eea0-2e28-4bb6-ad33-0457e037e936" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says</a> there&#8217;s a difference between falling into identity politics and being &#8220;proud&#8221; to be an Indian-American woman. In the first GOP presidential debate in August, the former South Carolina governor threw herself into a back-and-forth between former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy on climate change. 
“This is exactly why Margaret Thatcher said, ‘If you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman,’” Haley <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSvQjFfW8-c" target="_blank" rel="noopener">quipped</a>.

“It’s just loving who you are,” she said. “I love being a woman. I love my heritage. I love how I was raised, and I love how it has made me who I am today. Identity politics is when you divide people based on what you are. I’m not dividing people based on what I am. I’m trying to show people that we are all more similar than we are different.”

Radio Host Slams Biden For Inauthentic Behavior At Black Caucus Event

Charlamagne Tha God, co-host of &#8220;The Breakfast Club,&#8221; praised Republican presidential candidate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nikki-haley" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nikki Haley</a> for pushing for age limits and mental competency tests for elected officials.
Haley&#8217;s push for age limits and mental competency tests comes after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had another episode last week where he froze in front of cameras while speaking to reporters.
During a Sunday interview on CBS News&#8217; &#8220;Face The Nation,&#8221; Haley <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nikki-haley-floats-having-mental-competency-tests-for-the-entire-congress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>: “I think there should be mental competency tests. And I don’t care if they’re for everybody 50 and older. I don’t care if they’re for the entire Congress.”
Haley also said, “They should also give a notice from the doctor that tells about their mental capacity.”
Charlamagne praised Haley on Tuesday for her position on the issue, saying: “Nikki is absolutely right. She ain’t say one damn thing wrong.”
“I’ll stop her when she stops telling the truth,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;We need term limits. And, you know, if you are going to stay in, you definitely need mental competency tests over the age of whatever.&#8221;
Co-host Tezlyn Figaro was also impressed by Haley, saying: “I like Nikki Haley. I like the fact that she made sure she included Democrats and Republicans in, you know, in her comments so that it was even across the board. And I just think she’s a smart lady and she’s also going up in the polls as well on the Republican side.”
“And we wouldn’t be having these conversations if there wasn&#8217;t an obvious cognitive decline,&#8221; Charlamagne added. &#8220;Folks aren’t just saying this because these people are older. It’s because it’s obvious something is wrong.&#8221;

Left-wing media personality <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/charlamagne-tha-god" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlamagne Tha God</a> flamed the Democratic Party this week over reports that the party may not allow 80-year-old President Joe Biden to face primary challengers in his 2024 re-election campaign.
Charlamagne made the remarks while speaking with comedian Andrew Schulz on a podcast this week.
Charlamagne started out mocking Biden&#8217;s campaign announcement video. &#8220;When you start your video off &#8230; and it says &#8230; you&#8217;re in condition to run&#8211;&#8221; Charlamagne said as he burst out in laughter.
“Democrats are goofies, bro. Look how goofy y’all are,” Schulz said. “Y’all really judge Trump and people who like Trump, when you got this motherf***er running again?”
The clip then cuts to Biden&#8217;s video, which shows Biden saying, “Personal freedom is fundamental to who we are as Americans. There’s nothing more important, nothing more sacred. That’s been the work of my first term to fight for our democracy.”
&#8220;Aren&#8217;t you embarrassed to be a Democrat?&#8221; Schulz asked.
&#8220;I&#8217;m not a Democrat,&#8221; Charlamagne responded. &#8220;I&#8217;m not a Republican, either.&#8221;
Charlamagne later said that it was &#8220;whacked that the DNC won’t let nobody primary.&#8221;
