More than a decade after her acquittal, stories from convicted liar <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/casey-anthony" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Casey Anthony</a> are more outrageous than ever before.
A jury back in 2011 shocked the nation when they acquitted Casey of first-degree murder in the case of her deceased daughter, 3-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony. While from the outside the case looked like a slam dunk against the <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/casey_anthony_trial/casey-anthony-top-ten-lies/story?id=13742643" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pathological lying</a> <a href="https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/casey-anthony-2008-hot-body-contest-photos-160307/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">partying mother</a>, there was apparently enough distraction and confusion presented by the defense team to let Casey walk free.
During the infamous trial, Casey&#8217;s defense claimed baby Caylee had accidentally drowned in the family swimming pool. It was then suggested that Casey&#8217;s father and the baby&#8217;s grandfather George Anthony, a former police officer, screamed at Casey with the child&#8217;s dead body in his arms and presumably dumped the child in the woods nearby, where she would be discovered months later.
This theory, of course, is outrageous. Unfortunately, children drowning in pools is a relatively common occurrence in Florida, and no normal reaction would include hiding the baby&#8217;s body, dumping her in the woods, and then begrudgingly reporting her missing some 31 days later — especially for an ex-cop.
The defense team during the trial went a step further to foment doubt and discredit George; without providing evidence, it was charged that George molested his daughter Casey for years, and then Casey&#8217;s brother Lee followed in their father&#8217;s footsteps and molested Casey, too.
Casey took these outrageous accusations to the next unbelievable extreme in &#8220;Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies,&#8221; a shameless three-part &#8220;documentary&#8221; from NBC&#8217;s streaming service Peacock.
Now, Casey suggests George actually molested and then murdered Caylee to cover up his abuse.
The incredibly selective and deceptive documentary shows Casey as a dedicated mother who was traumatized by her family. She tells the audience that she never told her defense attorney Jose Baez that Casey drowned in the family swimming pool, and he effectively made this up for the trial without her knowledge or consent.
This alone is jarring and outrageous.
What really happened — something she&#8217;s for some reason never publicly said before — was that George likely murdered Caylee while Casey was sleeping. He then showed Casey the baby&#8217;s soaking wet body and told her that he would take care of things and that Casey must go on as normal.
This is Casey&#8217;s excuse for partying in the days and weeks after her daughter was supposedly missing, why she entered a &#8220;hot body&#8221; contest, why she got a &#8220;Bella Vita&#8221; tattoo (translated to &#8220;the good life&#8221; from Italian), and why she repeatedly lied to police.
She never asked where her baby was, or if Caylee was okay. Casey wants the public to believe that she was just too scared of her father, whom she thanked and said she loved during recorded jail phone calls.
The worst part of the documentary, if we can call it that, is Casey appearing to pretend to learn during filming that her dad molested Caylee. This is the reason, Casey posits, that George killed Caylee by drowning: so no questions would be asked and the abuse left undiscovered.
Casey makes this &#8220;discovery&#8221; by listening to a memorial service for Caylee where a grieving George describes missing hugs from young Caylee and the &#8220;sweet&#8221; smell of her &#8220;sweat.&#8221; A crying Casey continuously tells viewers this is &#8220;not normal&#8221; for a grandfather to say and suggests this is effectively a confession from George that he was molesting Caylee like he supposedly did to her.
A completely absurd leap no matter what you think of George&#8217;s comments.
The team at Peacock also splices in clips of George &#8220;apologizing.&#8221; The destroyed father and grandfather in numerous media interviews does indeed apologize to Casey and Caylee, his wife, and his whole family — but for failing in his duties as the head of the family, for failing to do more to protect Caylee. He has never admitted guilt to a crime, like the documentary deceptively suggests.
Notably, there have never been any charges brought against George for supposedly molesting Casey. As Casey herself notes, there is no statute of limitations on reporting this in Florida. Moreover, Casey&#8217;s own mother Cindy says she&#8217;s certain the molestation and rape claims are completely untrue. (For those in-the-know, Cindy notoriously makes excuses and defends her daughter in countless media interviews.)
Casey, who first told police a fictitious woman of color named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez was to blame for the kidnapping of Caylee, will seemingly throw anything at the wall before ever telling the world the truth.
While Casey is likely the only person who knows exactly what went on, and there is at least an element of gray, the one thing that&#8217;s certain is that little Caylee deserved so much better.

&#8220;I wasn&#8217;t feeling that great, and I wanted to lay down. I had her lay in bed with me,&#8221; Anthony said of the day her daughter was last seen in 2008. &#8220;I was awoken by [my father] shaking me and asking me where Caylee was. That didn&#8217;t make sense. She would never even leave my room without telling me. I immediately started looking around the house. I go outside and I&#8217;m looking to see where she could be.&#8221;
The next time she saw her daughter, <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/casey-anthony-speaks-daughters-death-i-sleep-amanda-prestigiacomo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anthony</a> claimed, her father was carrying her, soaking wet, and telling her that it was her fault.
&#8220;He was standing there with her. She was soaking wet. He handed her to me. Said it was my fault. That I caused it. But he didn&#8217;t rush to call 911 and he wasn&#8217;t trying to resuscitate her. I collapsed with her in my arms. She was heavy, and she was cold,&#8221; Anthony continued. &#8220;He takes her from me and he immediately softens his tone and says &#8216;It&#8217;s going to be ok.&#8217; I wanted to believe him. He took her from me and he went away.&#8221;
Following that exchange, Anthony explained that she went to stay with her boyfriend — for 31 days — and said that she believed the whole time that her daughter was still alive. &#8220;My father kept telling me she was ok. I had to keep following his instructions. He told me what to do. I tried to act as normal as I could,&#8221; she said.
In addition to suggesting that her father may have brought about Caylee&#8217;s death, Anthony appeared to allege that he had abused her as a child and may have abused his granddaughter as well.
&#8220;He&#8217;d put a pillow over my face and smother me to knock me out. That happened several times. I&#8217;m sure there were times where I was incapacitated as a child where my body was limp and lifeless,&#8221; Anthony said, adding that she worried he may have done the same to her daughter. &#8220;That&#8217;s what I think about. I wish every day I had said something to someone about something. Maybe then things would be different.&#8221;

Twitter users are not thrilled that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/casey-anthony">Casey Anthony</a> is finally getting the chance to tell her side of the story after being acquitted of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/crime">murdering</a> her toddler-aged daughter in 2011.
Fans are reacting to a new trailer for the limited <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/documentary">docuseries</a> “Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies,&#8221; which will premiere on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">Peacock</a> November 29. The short clip doesn’t include any quotes from Anthony but shows her being fitted for a microphone and getting ready to speak. 
&#8220;In 2011, Casey Anthony was accused of murdering her daughter,&#8221; the text of the trailer says. &#8220;She was found not guilty.&#8221;
“Why talk to me now, when you’re not getting creative control?” the interviewer asks. Anthony raises her eyebrows and begins to say something just as the clip ends.

Anthony’s high-profile murder trial captivated the nation more than a decade ago. It detailed the death of her two-year-old daughter Caylee and the strange aspects of the case. 
Caylee’s grandmother reported her missing on July 15, 2008, weeks after she was supposedly last seen on June 16. Anthony claimed her daughter was kidnapped by her babysitter, and she had been too frightened to call the police about it. 
The mom was later charged with first-degree murder after Caylee’s remains were discovered. While the child’s cause of death was undetermined, investigative reports found that duct tape was located near the body, which helped lead to the medical examiner ruling the death a homicide.
The case made headlines for months. Following a month-long trial, a jury deliberated for 11 hours before finding Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter, and aggravated child abuse. She was found guilty of lying to law enforcement.
Despite being found not guilty in court, many people still believe Anthony murdered her daughter and are upset that Peacock is giving her a platform to tell her story.
“Casey Anthony is a pathological liar,” one person <a href="https://twitter.com/BunnyNC/status/1590054930622320641">shared</a>. “She will never come clean about what she did to Caylee, so you are merely providing her a platform for attention and an opportunity to repeat her lies. Caylee deserved to go to school, to grow up, to fall in love, to have a family&#8230;to live.”
“We heard her side of the story IN COURT,” another commenter <a href="https://twitter.com/lolotalksish/status/1590074527161389056">agreed</a>. “Almost everything she told the police during their investigation was a LIE, she sent police on wild goose chases for nannies and places of employment that did not exist. I have no interest in hearing from someone who murdered their baby.”
“I cannot imagine being the executive who signed off on this.  This woman murdered her daughter,” a third person <a href="https://twitter.com/JefFullerMyself/status/1590035484704919552">fumed</a>.

Cindy Anthony, whose daughter Casey was acquitted in 2011 of murdering 2-year-old Caylee Anthony, says she has “never been the same” since the trial that tore her family apart and made them household names.
Cindy appeared on “Crime Scene Confidential” Tuesday night and was reunited with a crime scene investigator who helped find Caylee Anthony’s body, People <a href="https://people.com/crime/casey-anthonys-mother-cindy-has-never-been-same-since-daughters-murder-trial/?utm_source=facebook&amp;utm_medium=news_tab">reported</a>. Cindy, getting emotional, told the host that she knew the crime scene investigators “didn&#8217;t want to leave until you found every single [bone].”
&#8220;It means a lot,&#8221; she added.
Cindy was interviewed by Alina Burroughs, who was one of the crime scene investigators on the case.
&#8220;I didn&#8217;t know how Cindy was going to react to me,&#8221; Burroughs told People. &#8220;I mean, I was a prosecution witness, so she could&#8217;ve seen me as someone who wanted to lock her daughter up. But she was very gracious. And I think in some ways, the interview gave her some closure.&#8221;
Cindy said the interview that she and her daughter Casey didn’t speak for many years after the trial, but have recently started speaking again sporadically.
&#8220;It&#8217;s hard for her to speak out about this case,&#8221; Burroughs told People. &#8220;She really went through hell and back, and she&#8217;s never been the same.&#8221;
It was Cindy Anthony who called the police to report her granddaughter Caylee missing, after the 2-year-old hadn’t been seen for 31 days and her mother, Casey, kept giving different reasons for the whereabouts of her daughter. When Cindy called 9-1-1, she said her daughter’s car smelled “like someone died,” but later said at trial she meant it as a “figure of speech.”
Caylee’s remains were eventually located in the woods behind the Anthony home, and Casey was charged with first-degree murder and lesser charges, including allegations she lied to police about a non-existent nanny and the whereabouts of Caylee. Casey was ultimately acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges, but found guilty on four counts of lying to police.
Though Casey was found not guilty of killing her daughter, last year, a juror in the trial said the case “haunts me to this day,” People <a href="https://people.com/crime/casey-anthony-juror-speaks-out-10-years-later-my-decision-haunts-me/">reported</a> in May 2021.
&#8220;I think of the case at least once, every single day,&#8221; the juror told the outlet. &#8220;It was such a strange summer. I knew that there was public interest in the case, but it wasn&#8217;t until after I was sequestered that I realized that the whole world was watching.&#8221;
Now, however, the juror told People that he focuses more on Caylee Anthony.
&#8220;Every time I see her face or hear her name, I get a pit in my stomach,&#8221; he told the outlet. &#8220;It all comes flooding back. I think about those pictures of the baby&#8217;s remains that they showed us in court. I remember Casey. I even remember the smell of the courtroom.&#8221;
Ten years earlier, after the trial, this same juror had told People that &#8220;Generally, none of us liked Casey Anthony at all.”
&#8220;She seems like a horrible person,” he added, “But the prosecutors did not give us enough evidence to convict. They gave us a lot of stuff that makes us think that she probably did something wrong, but not beyond a reasonable doubt.&#8221;
He also told the outlet that the acquittal bothered jurors at the time.
&#8220;And then we sat there for a few minutes and were like, &#8216;Holy crap, we are letting her go free,'&#8221; he said in 2011. &#8220;Everyone was just stunned at what we were about to do. [One of the women jurors] asked me, &#8216;Are you okay with this?&#8217; and I said, &#8216;Hell, no. But what else can we do? We promised to follow the law.'&#8221;

According to a report from Radar Online published Wednesday, boozed-up Casey Anthony offered &#8220;disturbing&#8221; dating advice to a dad about his daughter, telling the man he has to &#8220;get all &#8216;Godfather&#8217;&#8221; on potential boyfriends.
&#8220;You gotta get all &#8216;Godfather&#8217; on them. You got to sit them down and basically let them know that you will kill them if they hurt your daughter,&#8221; Anthony told the dad, <a href="https://radaronline.com/photos/casey-anthony-interview-caught-camera-bar-boozing-beer-tells-all-secret-footage/">according</a> to a source at Radar Online.
&#8220;You should let them know if anything happens to your daughter, their mother is going to receive a body part in the mail &#8212; a finger or a piece of skin with a tattoo on it so she knows it&#8217;s her son,&#8221; she added.
In October of 2008, Anthony was indicted on seven criminal counts, including first-degree murder of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, whose dead remains were found two months later. &#8220;Two years later at a closely watched trial, prosecution alleged that Casey used chloroform on her daughter and suffocated her by putting duct tape over the little girl&#8217;s mouth and nose. Casey&#8217;s defense team presented a different theory: that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family&#8217;s pool,&#8221; a CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/29/us/casey-anthony-10-years-later/index.html">report</a> recalled. &#8220;Ultimately, the jury acquitted the young mother of the most serious charges against her.&#8221;
Anthony was sentenced to four years in prison for lying to police, though she ultimately <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/08/us/08anthony.html">served</a> less than two weeks behind bars post-sentencing.
According to the Radar, Anthony also vented about ex-boyfriends while tipping back hard ciders and beer at Backyard Bar. The 33-year-old claimed her neighbors told her a former boyfriend &#8220;would be parked in front of my house taking pictures.&#8221;
&#8220;Tell your daughters never date a cop. My ex was a cop, my father was a cop. They&#8217;re no good!&#8221; Anthony allegedly said.
She also told an undercover Radar reported that she hit one of her former boyfriends by mistake and it &#8220;felt good.&#8221;
&#8220;He came from behind and grabbed me, and I was so surprised I turned and punched him in the face. It felt good, I hate to say,&#8221; she allegedly said.
Earlier this week, The Blaze <a href="https://www.theblaze.com/news/casey-anthony-movie-caylee-death">reported</a> that Anthony has a film in the works surrounding the death of Caylee; the film will include &#8220;erotica&#8221; and legal aspects, the mother promised.
&#8220;Yes, I drank and carried on like nothing happened,&#8221; she relayed to The Daily Mail, recalling the days following Caylee&#8217;s death. &#8220;The movie is called &#8216;As I Was Told&#8217; because I&#8217;d done what I was told to do. I had to put on a fake persona throughout those 31 days [that Caylee&#8217;s body was missing].&#8221;
&#8220;My life was in others&#8217; hands from the beginning to the end,&#8221; she insisted, adding, &#8220;I just feel my truth needs to be out of me,&#8221; she told the outlet. &#8220;I need to close the book.&#8221;
&#8220;Regardless of what the media has depicted of me, I am not a monster,&#8221; Anthony claimed. &#8220;I just don&#8217;t show my sadness. A thing that was taught to me as a young girl.&#8221;

In 2011, Florida mother Casey Anthony gained national attention during the circus of a murder trail surrounding her two-year-old daughter, Caylee. Anthony was charged and later acquitted of the murder, though public opinion largely views her as a guilty, unsympathetic, lying party girl, a reality Anthony acknowledges. 
In an <a href="http://bigstory.ap.org/article/apnewsbreak-1st-time-casey-anthony-speaks-about-case">interview</a> published in the Associated Press on Tuesday, Anthony spoke out for the first time on the trial and Caylee&#8217;s death.
&#8220;Caylee would be 12 right now. And would be a total badass,&#8221; the 30-year-old told the AP. &#8220;I&#8217;d like to think she&#8217;d be listening to classic rock, playing sports and putting up with no nonsense.&#8221;
Anthony maintains that she doesn&#8217;t know how her daughter died. &#8220;I&#8217;m still not even certain as I stand here today about what happened,&#8221; she stated.
Caylee allegedly went missing on June 16, 2008, though she was suspiciously first reported missing by Anthony a month later, on July 15. The mother could not account for the lapsed month, but told police that her daughter had gone missing with a babysitter. Then, on December 11, 2008, Caylee&#8217;s body was found in a wooded area near the Anthony residence. According to experts&#8217; testimony in court, decaying human remains were found in the trunk of Anthony&#8217;s car. 
&#8220;In the end, prosecutors proved Casey Anthony was a liar, but convinced the jury of little else,&#8221; notes the AP. &#8220;The government failed to establish how Caylee died, and they couldn&#8217;t find her mother&#8217;s DNA on the duct tape they said was used to suffocate her. After a trial of a month and a half, the jury took less than 11 hours to find Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter and aggravated child abuse.&#8221;
&#8220;Based off what was in the media,&#8221; said Anthony, &#8220;I understand the reasons people feel about me. I understand why people have the opinions that they do.&#8221;
Anthony, who admitted to lying to police about a number of events surrounding the murder case, blamed the cops for &#8220;victimizing&#8221; her. 
&#8220;Even if I would&#8217;ve told them everything that I told to the psychologist, I hate to say this, but I firmly believe I would have been in the same place,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Because cops believe other cops. Cops tend to victimize the victims. I understand now&#8230; I see why I was treated the way I was even had I been completely truthful.
&#8220;Cops lie to people every day. I&#8217;m just one of the unfortunate idiots who admitted they lied,&#8221; she continued, paused, then added: &#8220;My dad was a cop, you can read into that what you want to.&#8221;
When asked about the theory from defense attorney Jose Baez, who said Caylee accidently drowned and then Anthony tried to cover up the death, Anthony said: &#8220;Everyone has their theories; I don&#8217;t know. As I stand here today I can&#8217;t tell you one way or another.&#8221;
Then, generating more questions, Anthony added that she &#8220;was told&#8221; her daughter &#8220;was alive and going to be OK&#8221; the last time she saw Caylee.
Anthony told the AP that she&#8217;s fascinated with the infamous OJ Simpson murder trail, explaining that there are &#8220;a lot of parallels&#8221; with her own case. 
&#8220;I can empathize with his situation,&#8221; she said of Simpson, who was accused and later acquitted of murdering his wife. 
Anthony occasionally &#8220;goes out with friends to area bars and has struck up a few short-lived romantic relationships,&#8221; notes the AP. &#8220;When she is out in public, men are attracted to her long, dark locks and petite frame, and often pay for her signature drinks: either a Fat Tire beer or a Jack Daniels and diet coke, with a lime wedge. But news that she is there spreads quickly; people whisper and snap photos, and she retreats to her newly purchased SUV so she can return home, alone.&#8221;
Still, Anthony says she&#8217;s happy. 
&#8220;I don&#8217;t give a sh** about what anyone thinks about me, I never will,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I&#8217;m OK with myself; I sleep pretty good at night.&#8221;

On Saturday, a group of roughly 3,000 protesters that marched to an area outside the gates of President Trump&#8217;s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida included someone who usually eschews the spotlight: Casey Anthony, who was <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/07/05/florida.casey.anthony.trial/">acquitted in 2011 of murdering her daughter</a> Caylee, in 2008, when Caylee was two years old.

Anthony was acquitted, but the verdict came as a shock to the millions of Americans who followed the case.
