WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump stunned lawmakers on Wednesday with the announcement that he would not be coming to Capitol Hill as planned to sign the much-discussed housing bill.
The president said in a mid-morning Truth Social post that he had canceled his planned press conference and would not be signing the housing bill until lawmakers passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing bill had passed both the House of Representatives and the Senate with strong bipartisan support.
&#8220;Today’s Housing News Conference and Signing is hereby cancelled until such time as we pass the desperately needed SAVE AMERICA ACT, which I consider to be a National Emergency,&#8221; Trump said.
He had signaled his frustration earlier on Wednesday morning with a post about Democrat Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren&#8217;s involvement with the housing bill.

&#8220;The Elizabeth &#8216;Pocahontas&#8217; Warren centric housing bill, which is of minor importance compared to lower interest rates, and even FISA, pales in comparison to passing THE SAVE AMERICA ACT,&#8221; Trump wrote. &#8220;That is what Americans, both Dumocrats, Republicans, and everyone else, care about.&#8221;
&#8220;Get the bad Republicans to approve it or, better yet, Terminate the Filibuster and approve it, AND EVERYTHING ELSE REPUBLICANS HAVE EVER DREAMED OF,&#8221; Trump argued. &#8220;The Dumocrats will do it in hour one, 100%. Republicans will feel very stupid if they don’t do it first. I’ll be watching with tears in my eyes!!!&#8221;
The president was originally scheduled to sign the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act at noon on Wednesday at the United States Capitol. He was then scheduled to attend the Senate Republican Steering Committee Lunch at 1:00 p.m.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether he is also skipping the lunch.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) said Wednesday that he spoke to Trump before a Republican conference meeting on Wednesday morning about the SAVE America Act. The speaker said that he told Trump that the bill has passed the House multiple times but is stuck in the Senate due to opposition from Democrats.
“He’s laser-focused on SAVE America Act,&#8221; Johnson noted, adding, &#8220;You have to put it in a reconciliation bill.”
Trump&#8217;s announcement came while Johnson and other Republican leaders were holding a news conference highlighting the housing legislation.
“He decided, and I didn’t announce it, I wanted him to announce it,” Johnson told reporters after Trump&#8217;s post. “But we’re delaying this. As you know, he has a window of time before he has to sign a bill, and he’s going to use a little bit more of this window of time and we’re going to go through this together.”

SAVE America Act

A legislative package that promises to be the largest overhaul of kids&#8217; online safety regulation in decades was advanced last month by the House Energy &amp; Commerce Committee. A good sign of a bill&#8217;s efficacy, however, is how strongly the industry it aims to regulate opposes it.
So far, most of the package — including the <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/7757/text">Kids Internet and Digital Safety (KIDS) Act</a> and the <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/836/text">Children’s Online Privacy Protection</a> (COPPA 2.0) Act — has not drawn serious opposition from Big Tech. What gives?
On balance, Silicon Valley has much to gain if these laws pass as drafted.
For starters, the Senate version of COPPA 2.0 doubles down on the existing age of internet adulthood being 13, thus maintaining the industry-preferred status quo. This ignores the harms social media can cause teens well after 13, such as fueling depression, social isolation, or worse. David Molak, to offer just one heartbreaking example, was <a href="https://www.today.com/parents/cliff-molak-petitions-against-cyberbullies-after-teen-brother-s-suicide-t66591">driven by online cyberbullying</a> to commit suicide at 16 years old. That’s why eminent figures like <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/06/well/family/jean-twenge-social-media-screens-teens.html">Jean Twenge</a> and <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/society/ng-interactive/2025/jun/07/jonathan-haidt-anxious-generation-smartphones">Jonathan Haidt</a> call for raising the age of social media eligibility to 16, and others <a href="https://www.cleveland.com/news/2026/01/sen-bernie-moreno-says-social-media-worse-than-cigarettes-for-youths-urges-complete-ban.html">call for 18</a>.
This is bad, but perhaps the legislation’s biggest gift to Big Tech is its numerous provisions to preempt or block a growing crop of state laws designed to hold these companies accountable. A look at the finer details of the legislation reveal that Congress would replace robust state regulation with a far lighter “federal standard,” setting a very low ceiling for kids&#8217; online safety at the state level.
Republican sponsors, of course, frame things differently.
In the Washington Post, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/03/09/congress-tech-online-safefy-social-media/">Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY), E&amp;C Committee Chair</a> and lead sponsor of the KIDS Act, described the package in adversarial terms, as Congress moving to correct Big Tech’s egregious failure to “self-regulate.” Guthrie is doubtless correct about Big Tech’s shortcomings. But this only makes it more noteworthy that the tech industry does not oppose this legislation.
Big Tech hasn’t been silent about every bill in the package. The App Store Accountability Act, which has been enacted in four states (thus far), has received significant pushback. The Apple-backed App Association <a href="https://actonline.org/2026/03/03/the-fly-in-the-ai-package-ointment-why-asaa-doesnt-belong/">decried</a> the bill as a “poison pill” that would stifle “innovation,” explicitly calling it a “fly in the AI package ointment.”
By openly referring to the child safety package as “the AI package,” the App Association gives away the game. Insiders in Washington regularly admit that they are using the child safety package to mollify the concerns of parents and child safety advocates to pave the way for Congress to pass — <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/12/eliminating-state-law-obstruction-of-national-artificial-intelligence-policy/">what the White House calls</a> — a “minimally burdensome” federal AI standard. In an unguarded interview, Amy Bos, vice president of governmental affairs for industry group NetChoice, <a href="https://rollcall.com/2026/03/03/what-to-watch-from-trumps-national-ai-standard/">speaks of</a> “leveraging, or using, possibly, a kid’s package … to get AI across the finish line.”
Big Tech is only interested in kids’ safety if it comes with a much bigger payoff: a federal law that would stop states from enforcing tougher AI regulations. In fact, with help from Republican leadership, Big Tech has already tried twice — and failed twice — to get Congress to do exactly that.
According to a recent <a href="https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2026/03/12/congress/cruz-seeks-to-advance-senate-kids-privacy-proposals-in-next-six-weeks-00825098">announcement</a> by Senator Ted Cruz, one of Big Tech’s key Congressional allies, it looks like Silicon Valley is gearing up for a third attempt. And it seems they’ll have the buy-in to try again. As <a href="https://www.politico.com/newsletters/inside-congress/2026/03/12/house-revolt-ahead-for-housing-bill-00824588">Politico recently reported</a>, Senate Majority Leader John Thune said that a federal AI standard is “a ‘big priority’ for the Trump administration, and [he] said a potential bill could be folded into a larger package with other proposals like a kids’ online safety bill.”
But the American people see things differently. Weakening kids&#8217; online safety legislation by tying it to a sweeping “AI package” is a non-starter for American families. Parents nationwide have heard the terrifying story of <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/26/technology/chatgpt-openai-suicide.html">Adam Raine</a>, a 16-year-old boy who was goaded into taking his own life by ChatGPT. They fear that their child might be next. It’s no surprise, then, why, according to a <a href="https://ifstudies.org/blog/americans-want-ai-safeguards-by-a-9-to-1-margin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">national poll</a> by the Institute for Family Studies, American voters want Congress to prioritize kids&#8217; online safety over industry carveouts by a margin of nine to one.
Robust online safety for kids is a winning electoral strategy, but tying it to deregulation of AI is a political loser. As a second <a href="https://ifstudies.org/report-brief/the-artificial-politics-of-artificial-intelligence">national Institute for Family Studies poll found</a>, Republican voters in red states support Congressional candidates who protect children from AI harms and oppose those who push preemption. For a party expected to face serious challenges during midterms, it would seem that Republican leadership would be eager to champion the desires of its voters.
Congress should, like countless state legislatures, side with voters and not protect Big Tech companies from responsibility. We have had enough of that.
Ultimately, Rep. Guthrie is right: American families “deserve more than gestures and idle promises. They deserve laws that work.” That includes his.

The FBI <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/live-updates-search-continues-for-nancy-guthrie-as-deadline-for-ransom-note-passes?topStoryPosition=undefined&amp;author=Daily+Wire&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=0&amp;row=1&amp;rowHeadline=Top+Stories&amp;rowType=Top+Stories&amp;title=Person+%E2%80%98Detained+For+Questioning%E2%80%99+In+Nancy+Guthrie+Case+After+Possible+Ransom+Payment+Activity">provided</a> a breakthrough on Tuesday, releasing video footage of a potential suspect in the case of Nancy Guthrie before authorities detained a man as a person of interest outside Tucson on Tuesday night. The man was later released from custody. 
The photos showed a frightening scene: a masked man approaching Guthrie’s front door and obscuring her Nest camera. The man also appears to be carrying a gun. FBI Director Kash Patel then released 30 seconds of video. The man walks up to the doorbell camera, trying to cover the lens, which doesn’t work. He goes back towards the archway in front of Guthrie&#8217;s house, picks up some vegetation, and tries to cover up the camera with it again. 
<h2 style="text-align: center;">Immigration Officials Trade Barbs With Democrats</h2>
A combative hearing on Capitol Hill on Tuesday had Democrats sparring with the Trump administration’s top immigration chiefs. Democrats focused fire on the Trump immigration and deportation agenda. The acting ICE director was asked to resign multiple times and, unsurprisingly, said no, defending the officers and agents he leads. Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) told acting ICE Director Todd Lyons that Democrats calling ICE the &#8220;Gestapo&#8221; and &#8220;secret police&#8221; is justified because it is what they are seeing. &#8220;People are simply making valid observations about your tactics, which are un-American and outright fascist,” Goldman said. Lyons told Goldman to go to the Holocaust Museum because he was wrong to make the comparison. The dispute between immigration officials and Democratic lawmakers continued.
<h2 style="text-align: center;">The U.K.’s Epstein Crisis</h2>
The release of the Jeffrey Epstein files has sparked a firestorm over in the U.K., where British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is embroiled in a scandal involving their ambassador to the U.S., while King Charles says he’s ready to support the British police looking into his brother Andrew. The Royal Family in general has been very quiet on the Epstein scandal, even though the king&#8217;s brother, Andrew, until recently Prince Andrew, is so closely related to the Epstein Island events. In politics, the U.K. elected a Labour government about 20 months ago with Sir Keir Starmer as the leader. Now, as part of that administration, one of the most significant positions is the British ambassador to America. Lord Peter Mandelson was given that job, a shock to many, given the upcoming Epstein files. The scandal erupted anew with the latest Justice Department release of files, and Starmer’s chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/chief-of-staff-falls-on-sword-as-party-turns-on-u-k-s-starmer-over-epstein-linked-appointee?author=Tim+Pearce&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=2&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Chief+Of+Staff+Falls+On+Sword+As+Party+Turns+On+U.K.%E2%80%99s+Starmer+Over+Epstein-Linked+Appointee" target="_blank" rel="noopener">resigned</a> over the weekend because of Mandelson’s appointment.

This evening, Members of Congress will come together publicly, not to debate or campaign, but to pray for America in a National Prayer Call.
In a first, the House Freedom Caucus and the Family Research Council will host a national call to prayer titled, “Congress Prays for America.” It will unite Members of Congress, Christian leaders, and Americans across the country to do what is desperately needed in this moment: humble ourselves before God and seek His guidance for our nation.
This couldn’t come at a more urgent time. In the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a young Christian leader who devoted his life to calling this generation back to truth and faith, our country is being forced to confront its spiritual crisis. Political violence, moral confusion, and hatred have filled the void where faith and grace once stood. It’s not just a political problem — it’s a spiritual one.
The answer to the kind of darkness America is facing won’t come from another government program or campaign speech. It will come from personal and corporate repentance, humility, and a national return to God.
That’s what this prayer call is about.
For decades, Washington has treated faith as something to be kept private — to be tolerated but never proclaimed. Lawmakers have been told that prayer belongs in the pews, not the halls of Congress. But America’s founders knew better. They opened every session of Congress with prayer because they knew the affairs of men could not prosper without the wisdom of Heaven.
When Congress prays, Members are reminded that we are not the ultimate authority — God is.
On Thursday night, Members will pray for an end to political violence. They will pray for our President, for Congress, for the people impacted by the ongoing shutdown, and for peace and protection in Israel.
The same faith that once guided the founding of this nation can still renew it today. We need a revival of courage, conviction, and compassion in our government. We need leaders who remember that the Constitution protects freedom of religion, not freedom from it.
That’s why this call matters.
When Members of Congress bow their heads together, they acknowledge that the power to restore this nation doesn’t lie in the levers of politics, but in the hands of Providence. God can bring revival to the very place where division has taken root: the United States Capitol.
This isn’t just a national prayer call from Congress. It’s a step toward something our country desperately needs — a spiritual revival and awakening. 
America’s hope doesn’t rest in Washington, but it can start there.

President Donald Trump again blasted the attention given to the Jeffrey Epstein case on Wednesday, calling it a “Democrat hoax” after victims of the convicted sex offender gathered on Capitol Hill to demand more transparency.
While speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump was asked about the large group of Epstein victims who gathered nearby, just outside the Capitol Building. The president doubled down on referring to the Epstein controversy as a “hoax,” saying that it “never ends.”
“From what I understand, thousands of pages of documents have been given out, but it’s really a Democrat hoax because they’re trying to get people to talk about something that’s totally irrelevant to the success that we’ve had as a nation since I’ve been president,” Trump said.
The president then pointed to his action in Washington, D.C., where he deployed the National Guard and ordered federal agents to crack down on violent crime in the city.
“So what they’re trying to do with the Epstein hoax is get people to talk about that instead of speaking about the tremendous success like ending seven wars. I ended seven wars,” he added. “Nobody is going to talk about that because they’re going to talk about the Epstein whatever.”
Following the rally, numerous Epstein victims met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to call on the federal government to release more information on the investigation. One Epstein accuser said it was “devastating” to hear the president marginalize the ongoing controversy, and another called on the president to meet with her “because this is not a hoax.”
The Department of Justice said in July that it found no evidence of an Epstein client list, but Epstein victims said at the rally that they would <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/we-know-the-names-epstein-victims-say-they-will-release-their-own-client-list?topStoryPosition=undefined&amp;author=Zach+Jewell&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=0&amp;row=1&amp;rowHeadline=Top+Stories&amp;rowType=Top+Stories&amp;title=%E2%80%98We+Know+The+Names%E2%80%99%3A+Epstein+Victims+Say+They+Will+Release+Their+Own+Client+List">compile their own,</a> revealing the names of Epstein associates who abused them.
“We know the names. Many of us were abused by them. Now together as survivors, we will confidentially compile the names we all know were regularly in the Epstein world, and it will be done by survivors and for survivors,” said Lisa Phillips.
Another Epstein victim spoke out publicly for the first time on Wednesday, revealing that she was “Minor Victim 1” in Epstein’s 2019 indictment. Marina Lacerda <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/09/03/house-epstein-files-victims-news-conference/#link-JL4EG73GKZGY5E2ONYQ66PU74M">said</a> that she was forced into Epstein’s New York mansion, along with dozens of other girls, when they were “just kids.”
Lacerda said she was offered money to give a massage to an older man, adding that she dropped out of high school to work for Epstein. She called on the government to release the Epstein files “not only for transparency, but for the American people.”

First Lady Melania Trump appeared on Capitol Hill on Monday and called out Democrats for not taking on the serious issue of youth online safety with the passage of the “Take it Down Act.”
Introduced by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), the <a href="https://x.com/cspan/status/1896643926146105364">first lady</a> said during her first solo public appearance that she was there “with a common goal, to protect our youth from online harm,” calling on Congress to pass the act from Cruz that would “criminalize the distribution of non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII),&#8221; including AI-generated &#8221;deepfake pornography,” per a Cruz office <a href="https://www.commerce.senate.gov/2024/6/sen-cruz-leads-colleagues-in-unveiling-landmark-bill-to-protect-victims-of-deepfake-revenge-porn">release</a>.
“Addressing this issue is essential for fostering a safe and supportive environment for our young people,” Melania said during a panel discussion with victims of NCII. “I hope today’s roundtable builds awareness of the harm caused by non-consensual intimate imagery and eventually the approval of the ‘Take it Down Act’ in Congress.”

&#8220;In today&#8217;s AI-driven world, the threat of privacy breaches is alarmingly high. As organizations harness the power of our data, the risk of unauthorized access and misuse of personal information escalates,” she added. “We must prioritize robust security measures and uphold strict ethical standards to protect individual privacy.&#8221;
“I was heartened to learn that Sen. Cruz and Sen. Klobuchar [D-MN] unified to prioritize this fundamental matter,&#8221; Trump continued. &#8220;I must admit, however, I expected to see more Democrat leaders with us here today to address this serious issue. Surely, as adults we can prioritize America’s children ahead of partisan politics.”
The first lady then called on Congress to “prioritize the passage of the ‘Take it Down Act’ bill,” calling it essential to deal with the “growing concerns of online safety.”
Ahead of Monday’s roundtable, Cruz posted on <a href="https://x.com/SenTedCruz/status/1896639815766168017" target="_blank" rel="noopener">X</a>, “I am looking forward to a robust discussion with @FLOTUS.”
“My bill, the TAKE IT DOWN Act, passed unanimously in the Senate with a 100-0 vote,” he added. “This crucial legislation will protect ALL Americans, especially teenagers and young women. We need to get this done!&#8221;
The bill passed the Senate with bipartisan support in February, but has yet to pass the House, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/02/politics/melania-trump-public-remarks-deepfake/index.html">CNN</a> noted.
During President Donald Trump’s first term, Melania introduced her “Be Best” initiative, which dealt with making the online platform safer for young people. At Monday’s event, the <a href="https://x.com/FLOTUS/status/1896628735136379010">first lady</a> noted that the “Take it Down Act” supports her “Be Best” platform by providing “important legislation to safeguard our youth.”

Flags at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., had been <a href="https://x.com/ABCPolitics/status/1873799350150631675" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lowered</a> to half-staff at the end of December for a 30-day mourning period after former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jimmy-carter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jimmy Carter</a> died at the age of 100.

On X, Rep. Nathaniel Moran (R-TX) <a href="https://x.com/RepNateMoran/status/1879201691947655299" target="_blank" rel="noopener">thanked</a> Johnson, writing: &#8220;Inauguration Day should be a day of celebration &#8211; NOT a day when our nation’s flag is flown at half mast.&#8221;
Moran also noted that he is a &#8220;proud&#8221; co-sponsor of a bill from Rep. Monica De La Cruz (R-TX) that would mandate American flags fly at their <a href="https://delacruz.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=2355" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&#8220;highest peak&#8221;</a> on Inauguration Day.
The speaker&#8217;s move comes after governors in some states ordered flags to return to full-staff at their state capitols and state buildings for Inauguration Day.

The Associated Press <a href="https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-flies-mar-a-lago-flag-at-full-height-before-end-of-mourning-period-for-carter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that a large flag at Trump&#8217;s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida was lowered to half-staff but had been raised to full height in recent days before the end of the 30-day mourning period for Carter.
Trump and other dignitaries traveled to Washington, D.C., last week to pay their respects to Carter, where the late president laid in state at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. Popular broadcast news journalist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/katie-couric">Katie Couric</a> weighed in on the Capitol Hill bathroom controversy, stating that she found it “sh***y” that members of Congress are expected to use the bathroom that matches their biological sex.
Her statements come on the heels of Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nancy-mace">Nancy Mace</a> (R-SC) introducing legislation that would require “members, officers, and employees of the House” to use bathrooms according to sex. 
The bill was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mace-on-trans-bathroom-ban-as-a-rape-survivor-i-know-how-vulnerable-women-are-in-private-spaces">introduced</a> this week as Democrats are preparing for their new member, Sarah McBride from Delaware, to become the first member of Congress to identify as transgender.
A reporter asked Mace, “Is this effort in response to Congresswoman McBride coming to Congress?”
“Yes and absolutely, and then some,” Mace replied. “I’m not going to stand for a man, you know, when someone with a penis is in the women’s locker room, that’s not okay.”
Couric, meanwhile, took issue with Mace&#8217;s tone. 
“Hey everyone, I&#8217;m just so disappointed that this Nancy Mace, a Republican from South Carolina, is being so rude, and I don&#8217;t know, just bigoted against Sarah McBride, who is a new congressperson from the state of Delaware,” the 67-year-old TV personality said in a video <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@katiecouric/video/7439545297161751850?lang=en">posted</a> on TikTok Thursday.

“I know Sarah. She is the first openly transgender member of Congress, and she&#8217;s an extraordinary human being, has done a great job representing the people of Delaware and is now going to be doing it in Washington, and it just seems nasty and mean, and cruel because she is the only member who is now forbidden to use the ladies&#8217; room and it&#8217;s just sh***y, you know. Anyway, I just wanted to say that.”
Couric isn’t the only one upset over the bill. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was fuming over the idea of people sticking to the bathroom that matched their sex, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/aoc-keeping-men-out-of-womens-bathrooms-is-endangering-women">saying</a>, “It’s disgusting. And everybody, no matter how you feel on this issue, should reject it completely.” 
“They’re doing this so that Nancy Mace can make a buck and send a text and fundraise off an email. They’re not doing this to protect people. They’re endangering women,” she continued. “They’re endangering girls of all kinds. And everybody should reject it. It’s gross.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) supported the move, noting that “each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol.”
McBride also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trans-identifying-congressman-agrees-not-to-use-female-bathrooms-after-johnson-brings-the-hammer-down">weighed in</a>, saying, “I’m here to fight for Delawareans and to bring down costs facing families. Like all members, I will follow the rules as outlined by Speaker Johnson even if I disagree with them. This effort to distract from the real issues facing this country hasn’t distracted me over the last several days, as I’ve remained hard at work preparing to represent the greatest state in the union come January.”

CNN hosts will moderate the presidential debate on Thursday — and why not? They have such amazing journalistic credibility.
On Tuesday, CNN’s Sara Sidner interviewed a drag queen, a woman who dresses up as a man who dresses up as a woman. (This woman couldn&#8217;t just be a woman; she had to dress up as a man dressed up as a woman. We have moved beyond the boundaries of logic.) This person goes by Brigitte Bandit. During the interview, Bandit talked about how it&#8217;s a scary time to exist in America as a drag queen.
Apparently, it’s not a scary enough time in America that Bandit can’t appear on national TV wearing drag.
When I first saw this, I wondered which one of these people was the CNN anchor because CNN is so filled with clowns. A CNN anchor is interviewing a woman dressed up as a man dressed up as a cartoon woman whom we are all supposed to take very seriously. We are all supposed to worship before the power of drag and acknowledge that this is what the Founders saw when they enshrined the First Amendment. Brigitte Bandit <a href="https://twitter.com/BrigitteBandit/status/1805634853779415422" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pontificated</a>:

Wow, what a wonderful look you have this morning. I know that took you some time.”
That&#8217;s a woman dressed as a man who is dressed as a woman.
But it&#8217;s society that has a problem, folks. It&#8217;s society and our lack of tolerance.
Bandit is “non-binary” and uses the personal pronouns “she,” “her,” “they,” and “them.”
What a country we&#8217;ve created for ourselves. George Washington would have been so proud.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he had a &#8220;positive meeting&#8221; with former President Donald Trump on Thursday after Trump traveled to Capitol Hill to talk with Republican lawmakers.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee praised the GOP Senate leader during his comments at the D.C. meeting, POLITICO <a href="https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2024/06/13/congress/mcconnell-and-trump-speak-00163236" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
“We had a really positive meeting, he and I got a chance to talk a little bit, we shook hands a few times, he got a lot of standing ovations, it was an entirely positive meeting. Mitt Romney was there, as well, and I can’t think of anything to tell you about it that was negative,” McConnell said.
Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) added that Trump &#8220;immediately went in to address Mitch McConnell and said he&#8217;s done his best while he was here. He understands elections. And he understands how important two seats are and we need to be focused on those.&#8221;

Trump and McConnell have had a rocky relationship over the past four years, and Thursday&#8217;s private meeting marked the first time the two had spoken in person since a month after the contentious 2020 election, according to POLITICO. Trump has slammed McConnell for approving Democrat legislation in the Senate, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-intensifies-attacks-mcconnell-death-wish-remark-social-media-pla-rcna50293" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a> in 2022 that the Kentuckian has a &#8220;death wish,&#8221; which a Trump spokesman said was in reference to &#8220;killing the Republican Party through weakness and cowardice.&#8221;
McConnell has also blasted Trump, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2021/02/13/mcconnell-condemns-trump-acquitted-469002" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a> he was &#8220;practically and morally responsible for provoking&#8221; the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
On Thursday at the Republican meeting, however, there was nothing but solidarity, according to some of the senators who attended.
“There was a lot of unity. A lot of people think we’re going in the wrong direction now,” McConnell&#8217;s fellow Kentucky senator, Rand Paul said, adding that most of the discussions centered on policy.

Rapper <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/50-cent">50 Cent</a> made an appearance on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/capitol-hill">Capitol Hill</a> on Wednesday to speak with lawmakers about creating generational wealth for black Americans. While there, the recording artist said black men are “identifying with” presidential hopeful Donald Trump over President Joe Biden.
The 48-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">celebrity</a>, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, stated his opinions from the perspective of a business person and liquor company owner. 50 Cent appeared with famed civil rights attorney Ben Crump to promote black representation in the liquor industry. 
“This is really exciting for me to be here. I got a chance to meet with both sides today, and it feels really good,” he <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/videos/news/politics/2024/06/05/50-cent-promotes-black-representation-in-liquor-industry-at-us-capitol/73989728007/">said</a>. “[Lawmakers] don’t agree on a lot of stuff, and so to get them to agree on seeing me was an accomplishment in itself.”
“My experience here has been great,” Jackson continued. “I went to talk to them about economic opportunities for everybody, and it’s really exciting. The response I got makes me feel that there’s bright things ahead of us.”
When CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/video/rapper-50-cent-black-men-identifying-with-trump/">asked</a> about who he’s endorsing in the upcoming presidential election, the rapper said he hasn’t made a choice yet. 
50 Cent also said he believes black men could be more likely to back Trump now. “I see them identifying with Trump. Because they got RICO charges,” he told Killion, referring to a RICO charge in the Georgia election interference case.
As he mentioned, the rapper met with representatives on both sides of the political aisle during his visit. He posted a photo of himself with Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) to X.

The Grammy Award-winning artist publicly endorsed Donald Trump in the 2020 election but later backtracked in a social media exchange with his ex-girlfriend, comedian Chelsea Handler.

“He says he doesn’t want to pay 62 percent in taxes — which, by the way, isn’t a plan of Joe Biden’s, that’s a lie — so he doesn’t want to pay 62 percent in taxes because he doesn’t want to go from being 50 Cent to 20 Cent,” Handler told Jimmy Fallon in 2020. 
“I had to remind him that he was a black person, so he can’t vote for Donald Trump, and that he shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him because he’s worried about his own personal pocketbook,” she added.
50 Cent responded by tweeting a clip of the exchange and adding the <a href="https://x.com/50cent/status/1320184040654295040">caption</a>, “a what, another spin, Fu*k Donald Trump, I never liked him,” it said.
