Amy Wisner, a former marketing professor at MSU, allegedly <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12114999/Amy-Wisner-MSU-politics-professor-sued-making-students-pay-99-fee-join-left-wing-group.html">required</a> 600 students to pay $99 each to join a Left-wing group known as The Rebellion Community, an outside group run by Wisner. Students Nolan Radomski and Nathan Barbieri are suing Wisner, claiming she used the money from students to donate to Planned Parenthood, as well as buy an RV for a trip around the U.S. By doing so, the pair of students claimed in the suit that Wisner “forced them to materially support the homicide of innocent children.” MSU has fired Wisner after complaints, and the school offered students a refund for the roughly $60,000 they paid to the leftist group.

A Burger King franchise in Hollywood, Florida, has been ordered to pay a whopping sum to a 48-year-old man over a slip and fall that occurred more than two years ago. 
A Burger King franchise must pay $8 million to Richard Tulecki, who claimed that he slipped on a “foreign substance” in the restaurant’s bathroom and &#8220;suffered lower back injuries resulting in surgery.” Tulecki’s attorneys said the fall caused &#8220;serious injuries,” which required surgery that then turned into a postoperative perforated colon. The lawsuit was filed in 2021. The sum — totaling $7.68 million, including earnings lost and medical expenses  — is one of Florida’s largest slip and fall verdicts on record.

Money is pouring into a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/kevin-27-years?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&amp;utm_medium=copy_link_all&amp;utm_source=customer">GoFundMe account</a> set up for a humble <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/burger-king">Burger King</a> worker seen in a viral video receiving a movie ticket, pens, and candy for putting in 27 years apparently without ever taking a sick day.
Donors include comic actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/david-spade-says-the-invisible-barrier-between-audience-and-stage-has-been-broken-after-oscars-slap-chappelle-attack">David Spade</a>, who chipped in $5,000 after seeing a report on Ford, who has been a cook and cashier at the chain’s Las Vegas McCarran International Airport location since the 1990s and reportedly has never called in sick. As of Saturday, the account set up by Ford’s daughter, Seryna, was closing in on six figures.
“THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! For even watching the video! I love you my brother!!! Much love and God Bless&#8230; I think might be able to take a day off,” Ford wrote to the comic after Spade dropped his generous donation.

Ford started working at the restaurant nearly three decades ago after he gained custody of his children, Seryna Ford wrote on the GoFundMe page. He succeeded, and needed the health insurance the job provided to raise them when he remarried and his family grew.
“[It] got all four of his daughters through high school and college with full healthcare coverage,” she wrote. “My dad continues to work here, because though he does look young, he is coming up on retirement age and leaving would cost him his retirement. In no way are we asking for money or is he expecting any money but if anyone feels like blessing him he would love to visit his grandchildren.”
The story blew up when Ford posted a video online showing him receiving plastic bag containing a movie ticket, some Lifesavers and Reese&#8217;s Pieces candy, a Starbucks travel mug, a lanyard, and some pens from his employer.
“Loyalty pays off,” he wrote in a note accompanying the video.
But when the clip went viral, most viewers didn’t see the reward as fitting for Ford’s years of service and mocked the company on social media. <a href="https://www.today.com/food/people/burger-king-employee-27-years-goodie-bag-rcna34968">According</a> to Today, the gift bag was not from Burger King, but from the food service company that Ford works for Burger King through.
Seryna Ford said the outpouring of generosity for her dad has touched the family.
“I&#8217;m here trying to get through dinner without crying! You are such remarkable people,&#8217; Seryna Ford wrote in a GoFundMe update. “I seriously can&#8217;t believe this. Y&#8217;all are changing his life!”
Spade, in a private exchange <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/06/24/david-spade-viral-burger-king-employee-27-years-donates-gofundme-instagram-dm-joke/?adid=social-twa">obtained by TMZ</a>, joked to Ford that he should wait until he reaches 30 years’ of service before requesting time off.
“Damn, are you one of my managers???” Ford quipped in a reply. “Thank you again, Sir&#8230; Have a great day.”

Burger King Austria is celebrating Pride Month by introducing the “Pride Whopper,” a hamburger that comes with either two top or two bottom buns.
The new item uses mealtime to promote &#8220;equal love and equal rights,” a translation of the fast-food chain’s Austrian website said. 
“We are setting an example for individuality and freedom and stand for a respectful interaction with each other,” the <a href="https://www.burgerking.at/menu/21584">website</a> translation says. “Equal rights. Empathy. Understanding. No matter where you come from, no matter who you love, no matter what you look like or what you believe in: Time to be proud.”

The burger features two top buns halves or two bottom buns instead of one top and one bottom like usual. It appears the special burger version will only be available in Austria but is making headlines in the United States as the fast-food restaurant joins so many companies in virtue-signaling during the month of June. 
Reactions on social media weren’t entirely favorable, even from the LGBT community. On the company’s Instagram <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CeQQGrigPqN">page</a>, one user wrote, “Some straight people came up with this and thought it was a great idea.”
“One day into pride month and already exhausted,” another said.
“This is a joke, right?” someone else asked.
This isn’t the first time Burger King went public with their support of Pride Month and LGBT issues. Last June, the company donated 40 cents from the purchase of every Ch’King sold that month to the Human Rights Campaign. HRC is the largest LGBT advocacy group and political lobbying organization in the world. 
At the time, Burger King insulted competitor Chik-fil-A with a tweet, posting, “the #ChKing says LGBTQ+ rights! during #pride month (even on Sundays 👀) your chicken sandwich craving can do good! we are making a donation* to @HRC for every Ch’King sold.”
Chik-fil-A has been mocked in the past for its openly Christian values, plus for being closed on Sundays so employees can attend church and spend time with their families. 
Burger King’s latest menu update is just one of many examples of companies going all-in for Pride month. Many put out statements or change their logos to rainbow colors. This year, even the U.S. Treasury Department <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-economy-is-toast-but-at-least-the-treasury-department-is-flying-a-pride-flag">announced</a> it would be flying the Pride flag for the month of June. 
The Pride Whopper is reminiscent of the viral Royal Dutch Airlines ad from 2017. The company put out pictures of multiple seatbelt combinations, including two “female” ends and two “male” ends that said, “It doesn’t matter who you click with.” Critics pointed out how the combinations literally could not click.

Burger King recently launched its “Ch’King” sandwich as part of the national chicken sandwich “war.” In a June 3 tweet, Burger King announced that it would donate 40 cents to the Human Rights Campaign for every chicken sandwich sold during “Pride Month.” 
The fast food chain appeared to take aim at Chick-fil-A as it promised to donate “even on Sundays.” Burger King said it will donate up to $250,000 or 625,000 sandwiches.

On June 1, online activists called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A after <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/christian-billionaires-are-funding-a-push-to-kill-the-equality-act?ref=home">The Daily Beast</a> reported that the fast-food giant’s CEO, Dan Cathy, was a donor to the National Christian Charitable Foundation (NCF). NCF opposes the Equality Act, which would expand the Civil Rights Act to include protections for the LGBT community at the expense of religious liberty.
Burger King kickstarted its campaign after The Daily Beast’s article dropped. A spokesperson for Burger King told <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/food/2021/06/06/burger-king-chicken-sandwhich-donate-lgbtq-group-chick-fil-a/7573712002/">USA Today</a> that the company couldn’t “miss an opportunity” like this one. 
“This is a community we love dearly and have proudly supported over the years, so we couldn’t miss an opportunity to take action and help shine a light on the important conversation happening,” the spokesperson said. 
Chick-fil-A, which has donated to conservative, Christian organizations, has been a source of controversy for liberal online trolls for years. In 2018, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey “boosted” Chick-fil-A in a tweet and received intense backlash from progressives. Dorsey <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/twitter-ceo-boosts-chick-fil-internet-melts-down-james-barrett">apologized</a> for admitting that he loves the fast food chain, which was considered an even more egregious sin to activists because he said it during Pride Month.
Burger King, by comparison, has been seen as a more progressive advocate. In July 2020, the fast food chain <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/burger-king-were-changing-our-cows-diet-cow-farts-and-burps-are-no-laughing-matter">announced</a> they planned to feed their cows lemongrass to reduce the amount of methane emissions from cow farts, which some say contribute to climate change.
“Cow farts &amp; burps are no laughing matter,” Burger King tweeted. “They release methane, contributing to climate change. That’s why we’re working to change our cows’ diet by adding lemongrass to reduce their emissions by approximately 33%.”
Burger King was also embroiled in a scandal after Burger King U.K. put out a supposedly misogynistic tweet aimed at encouraging more women to pursue work in culinary fields.

Burger King U.K. reportedly responded to KFC’s post, but the tweet has since been deleted. <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/burger-king-uks-tweet-women-belonging-kitchen-backlash-social-media-users">Fox News</a> reported that the company&#8217;s response read, &#8220;Why would we delete a tweet that’s drawing attention to a huge lack of female representation in our industry, we thought you’d be on board with this as well? We&#8217;ve launched a scholarship to help give more of our female employees the chance to pursue a culinary career.&#8221;
Although the company had originally stood up for its choice of words in the promotion of its scholarship, it changed its tune on Tuesday and issued an apology.
Burger King U.K. posted a statement in response to the backlash, stating, &#8220;We hear you. We got our initial tweet wrong and we’re sorry. Our aim was to draw attention to the fact that only 20% of professional chefs in U.K. kitchens are women and to help change that by awarding culinary scholarships. We will do better next time.&#8221;
In a second tweet, the company explained its decision to delete the initial tweet. &#8220;We decided to delete the original tweet after our apology. It was brought to our attention that there were abusive comments in the thread and we don&#8217;t want to leave the space open for that.&#8221;

In a statement to Fox News before the company deleted the tweet, a spokesperson for Burger King stated that the brand is &#8220;committed to helping women break through a male-dominated culinary culture in the world’s fine dining restaurants – and sometimes that requires drawing attention to the problem we’re trying to help fix.&#8221;
The statement continued: &#8220;Our tweet in the UK today was designed to draw attention to the fact that only a small percentage of chefs and head chefs are women. It was our mistake to not include the full explanation in our initial tweet and have adjusted our activity moving forward because we’re sure that when people read the entirety of our commitment, they will share our belief in this important opportunity.&#8221;
Burger King also told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/burger-king-uks-tweet-women-belonging-kitchen-backlash-social-media-users">Fox News</a> on Monday that the H.E.R. program is a section of the broader Burger King Foundation Scholars Program and has already given out &#8220;more than $3 million in scholarships to support female team members in achieving their educational goals in North America.&#8221;

Cows have a complex digestive system consisting of four stomachs, which enables them to eat and digest food that we cannot – such as grass – through a process called <a href="https://www.rbi.com/IRW/CustomPage/4591210/Index?KeyGenPage=1073754622">enteric fermentation</a>. As the cows digest their feed, they <a href="http://www.fao.org/3/a-i3437e.pdf">produce a lot of methane</a>. This greenhouse gas is released every time the cows burp and fart the methane gas out. Methane is considered a high contributor to global warming, making it a key area for us to tackle in pursuit of the 2016 Paris Agreement target of limiting global warming to well below 2°C and pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. &#8230;
We teamed up with top level scientists in the US and Mexico to study different herbs, like chamomile, cosmos bipinnatus and lemongrass, in order to find a solution that could potentially benefit the environment and the millions of people that simply love meat. As a result, we found that by adding 100 grams of dried lemongrass leaves to the cows’ daily feed, we were able to see a reduction of up to <a href="https://www.rbi.com/IRW/CustomPage/4591210/Index?KeyGenPage=1073754622">33% on average</a> of methane emissions during the period the diet was fed (the last three-to-four months of the cow’s life in the case of our research).</blockquote>
In the “frequently asked questions” document appended to the “Green New Deal” proposal espoused by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-NY), there was <a href="https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/5729035/Green-New-Deal-FAQ.pdf">this section</a> dealing with “farting cows”:
<blockquote>We are calling for a full transition o fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases. Anyone who has read the resolution sees that we spell this out through a plan that calls for eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from every sector of the economy. Simply banning fossil fuels immediately won’t build the new economy to replace it – this is the plan to build that new economy and spells out how to do it technically. We do this through a huge mobilization to create the renewable energy economy as fast as possible. We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast, but we think we can ramp up renewable manufacturing and power production, retrofit every building in America, build the smart grid, overhaul transportation and agriculture, plant lots of trees and restore our ecosystem to get to net-zero.</blockquote>
Ocasio-Cortez later <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/ocasio-cortez-blames-staffer-controversial-green-new-deal-farting-cows-document">blamed a staffer</a> for the document, protesting, &#8220;I definitely had a staffer that had a very bad day at work.”
