<p class="p2">At the <a href="https://modelofarchitecture.org/video/ezra-klein-beauty-politics-and-future-abundance"><span class="s1">Abundance Futures / Live conference</span></a> last year, Ezra Klein called for the restoration of beauty as a key public-policy consideration. Though Klein has not shied away from challenging certain left-wing orthodoxies, this statement is perhaps his most surprising. Since World War II, those lamenting the uglification of our built environment have typically been conservatives. They are increasingly part of an aging, fading establishment, such as <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/may/08/king-charles-ignited-a-battle-of-styles-in-architecture-is-it-time-for-a-truce"><span class="s1">King Charles III</span></a>, or figures on the respectable fringes, such as the late philosopher <a href="https://www.civicart.org/lectures-1/2024/5/19/roger-scrutons-philosophy-of-architecture"><span class="s1">Roger Scruton</span></a> and the late architectural polemicist <a href="https://www.classicist.org/articles/the-institute-of-classical-architecture-art-remembers-leon-krier"><span class="s1">Leon Krier</span></a>.</p>
<p class="p2">So it is bracing to hear Klein urging the political Left not only to depart from overregulation but also to embrace beauty. “We cannot have a politics afraid of having a view about what is beautiful because a politics that is not beautiful is a politics nobody wants,” he said. “An abundance that is not beautiful is an abundance nobody will allow you to build.” Klein understands here what cultural conservatives have maintained from the margins for decades. If our cities, homes, and streets are not aesthetically appealing, citizens will oppose their construction. Beauty is the key to unlocking abundance.</p>

<p class="p2">So far, so good. But the path forward is less clear. Klein acknowledged the difficulty of arriving at the meaning of “beauty.” Part of the solution is simply to open debate on the question. For proponents of beauty, this is a strategic advance, as the debate implies the possibility of an answer. In my view, this also explains the reluctance to have the debate in the first place: some fear that arriving at a consensus about what is beautiful undermines the liberal commitment to a values-neutral politics.</p>
<p class="p2">But as Klein points out, two architects of modern liberalism — Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson — held a distinct view of what is beautiful and built accordingly. We might think of Timberline Lodge in Oregon, built by the Works Progress Administration and <a href="https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/address-timberline-lodge"><span class="s1">dedicated</span></a> by Roosevelt in 1937. Johnson, in his 1967 <a href="https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/special-message-the-congress-conservation-and-restoration-natural-beauty"><span class="s1">speech</span></a> to Congress on conservation, said, “We must not only protect the countryside and save it from destruction, we must restore what has been destroyed and salvage the beauty and charm of our cities.”</p>
<p class="p2">We don&#8217;t need to arrive at a metaphysical consensus over the definition of beauty to reestablish its place in our public life. Just as we muddle through debates over, say, religious freedom without arriving at the ultimate meaning of religion, so, too, can we engage politically about the beautiful.</p>
<p class="p2">Moreover, we can make beauty a public-policy consideration entirely on liberal grounds. In fact, the way to do so has already been shown. Disagreement over beauty looked different in Immanuel Kant’s day than it does in ours, but the tectonic plates of the debate have shifted only slightly. Kant urged the pragmatic approach: we may not be able to perceive beauty <i>qua</i> beauty, but we can recognize that most human beings find similar objects beautiful.</p>
<p class="p2">A growing body of evidence points to such a consensus. A <a href="https://osf.io/preprints/socarxiv/kz4m8_v3"><span class="s1">recent study</span></a> by David Broockman, Christopher Elmendorf, and Joshua Kalla found that aesthetic judgments are central to people’s support for or opposition to housing construction. Examples of more attractive housing significantly increased support for development, even when construction was far from respondents’ own neighborhoods. The study concludes that beauty and perceived visual fit are causal determinants of whether voters will back pro-housing policies, not merely post hoc rationalizations for resistance.</p>
<p class="p2">In addition, <a href="https://www.nature.com/articles/s44284-025-00330-x"><span class="s1">many surveys</span></a> of people’s architectural preferences, from the <a href="https://www.civicart.org/americans-preferred-architecture-for-federal-buildings"><span class="s1">United States</span></a> to the <a href="https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&amp;&amp;p=f6fd83fac435c35d0588374b57fc9239a256a49c6b944de225cacccf674973deJmltdHM9MTc2Njc5MzYwMA&amp;ptn=3&amp;ver=2&amp;hsh=4&amp;fclid=0c696a23-9e7c-66b2-35eb-78759f6b67c2&amp;psq=Landmark+study%3a+Architectural+Preference+of+the+Dutch&amp;u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly90aGVhZXN0aGV0aWNjaXR5LmNvbS9yZXNlYXJjaC8"><span class="s1">Netherlands</span></a> to the <a href="https://www.mdpi.com/2075-5309/14/8/2394"><span class="s1">Asia-Pacific region</span></a>, consistently show wide majority support for buildings typically described as beautiful.</p>
<p class="p2">Philosophers will continue to debate the true meaning of beauty. What <i>is</i> it? Does it have an objective quality, or is it entirely subjective? In the meantime, all of us, philosophers included, must live somewhere. The widespread agreement on beautiful architecture causes no obvious harm to anyone — quite the opposite — so we can even rest assured that John Stuart Mill’s <a href="https://ethicsunwrapped.utexas.edu/glossary/harm-principle"><span class="s1">harm principle</span></a> will go unviolated. In other words, we can begin to build beautifully again entirely within the bounds of center-left propriety. Constructing a physical environment that pleases the senses is not right-wing.</p>
<p class="p2">To improve on a recent phrase: let’s build back beautiful.</p>

Now, even younger members of Generation Alpha brush off old-school “beauty routines” like the nail stickers and </span><a href="https://www.lipsmacker.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoqbBx7MgfFWoXnR673M0UZP4HTIC0ThtY04prKbIH7IopCUA6wQ"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lip Smacker</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> of their millennial parents, opting instead to hard-launch chamomile, yam, and aloe-infused </span><a href="https://heyrini.com/products/hydrogel-after-sun-mask"><span style="font-weight: 400;">hydrogel face masks</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. Of course, that’s just entry-level stuff.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you’re wondering what the heck is going on, the pint-sized beauty market is exploding. With kids younger than 15 years old somehow having </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/reels/DWR9ptGCfFx/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">$3,500</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a year to spend on “beauty,” major retailers swoop in to bank </span><a href="https://ktla.com/news/consumer-business/makeup-for-6-year-olds-kids-beauty-brands-fuel-growing-debate-among-parents/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">millions in sales</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. But these tweens aren’t just obsessed with skincare. Forecasted to pump </span><a href="https://www.mintel.com/insights/beauty-and-personal-care/how-gen-alpha-is-redefining-the-beauty-industry/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">$5.5 trillion</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> into the market by 2029, they’re revolutionizing the industry.   </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“It’s a phenomenon where a group of kids … who normally would be indulging in arts [and] athletics … are engaging in what I call consumer aesthetics,” says dermatologist </span><a href="https://youtu.be/JLt5bBzhpzo?t=59"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dr. Reneé A. Beach</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. Advising against kids using products made with harsh ingredients like retinol, she adds, “A child is really risking skin irritation, eczema, chemical burn, and none of these things are the outcome that we would want from purchasing a $50 product.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Spas, retailers, beauty brands, and celebrities want to saturate the </span><a href="https://nuthatchnaturals.com/news/why-kids-need-their-own-skin-care-products/#:~:text=Children's%20skin%20is%20different%20from%20adults'%20skin,use%20to%20build%20healthy%20skin%20care%20habits"><span style="font-weight: 400;">itty-bitty skin cells</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> of your child’s face with their products — as long as they can sneak it into the hands of eight-year-old </span><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pbg0ERF60as"><span style="font-weight: 400;">kidfluencers</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> clicking their fake nails against a can of Poppi before smearing </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">tri-ceramide serum</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> all over their already perfect faces. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I’m feeling Vanilla Beige today,” a </span><a href="https://youtu.be/Pbg0ERF60as?t=144"><span style="font-weight: 400;">young girl says</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in her Get Ready With Me, smooshing all over her mouth </span><a href="https://summerfridays.com/products/lip-butter-balm-vanilla-beige?srsltid=AfmBOoraOwe6SgwyQlrDZGED4UmhCJcdGKBIqpYCYwZmiiZmIdPLwQbk"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Summer Fridays</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> $25 Vanilla Beige lip butter, a product that’s marketed to adults. Notably, she also spritzes the Glow Recipe watermelon face mist seen in many other kids’ beauty routines, calling it, “My favorite thing at Sephora.” Not pictured: the mini </span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Mommit/comments/1m8ozm9/my_daughter_asked_for_a_skincare_fridge_is_this_a/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">skincare fridge</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> topping every little girl’s wishlist right now.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But “Pretty Little Liars” actor and entrepreneur, Shay Mitchell, faced backlash when she launched </span><a href="https://heyrini.com/?tw_source=google&amp;tw_adid=782836742290&amp;tw_campaign=23234810294&amp;tw_kwdid=kwd-2450012425579&amp;gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=23234810294&amp;gbraid=0AAAABBo7IWnm3p-3Fvj-CMyb2WmjrWCWF&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjwj47OBhCmARIsAF5wUEHdfV6gg-oNd_AkFoTaHakrX16GtBS5RIfJGWPBY11qJpcoAPaCANcaAm69EALw_wcB"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rini</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Beauty, offering four-year-olds a face mask infused with </span><a href="https://heyrini.com/products/everyday-facial-sheet-mask-panda"><span style="font-weight: 400;">white tremella mushrooms</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, glycerin, vitamin E, and beta-glucan. She explained on </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DQuweS9EgdC/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Instagram</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> that the project was “inspired by my girls, their curiosity … From birthday parties and face paint to wanting to do ‘what mommy does’ with her face masks.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Instead of relating to the mommy-and-me self-care vibe, </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DQsDKBxklvU/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=82551ed7-4e1b-47a1-be7d-734f5cce16e5"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Instagram</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> commenters clapped back with, “I struggle to find the right words to articulate how disappointing and dystopian this is,” and, “How is this even legal?” with broken heart emojis. Another posted, “Yeah cause that&#8217;s just what young girls needed: to be hyper-focused on their appearance even earlier.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Beyond using a gentle soap, lotion, daily </span><a href="https://youtu.be/JLt5bBzhpzo?t=115"><span style="font-weight: 400;">sunscreen, and getting a good night’s sleep</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, a viral multi-step skincare routine can actually do real damage to children&#8217;s delicate skin. While formulas from the </span><a href="https://archive.is/20251111030732/https://www.vogue.com/article/the-sephora-kids-arent-going-anywhere"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bubble</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> brand at Target feature mild ingredients, some kids are dabbling in the clinical-grade stuff.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A Northwestern University </span><a href="https://news.northwestern.edu/stories/2025/06/tiktok-teen-skin-care-routines-are-harmful"><span style="font-weight: 400;">study</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> of teen skincare routines posted to social media revealed that only 26% of girls used sunscreen, the one thing they </span><a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3179453/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">should</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> be applying</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. And some used up to a dozen products at once. Pointing out the consumerist slant, university adjunct lecturer </span><a href="https://youtu.be/emIsUY8EhTo?t=100"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dr. Tara Lagu</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> noted, “A real desire to have more products and more expensive products in a way that, for seven to 14-year-olds, feels really problematic.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Many of the ingredients … also carry a high risk of skin allergy,” says </span><a href="https://youtu.be/emIsUY8EhTo?t=63"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dr. Molly Hales</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, explaining that applying multiple products with harsh active ingredients — or the same active ingredient — is deeply irritating. “Once you develop a skin allergy to a particular ingredient, [it] can actually endure for the rest of your life and limit the kinds of products that you can apply.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In one </span><a href="https://publications.aap.org/pediatrics/article-abstract/156/1/e2024070309/202103/Pediatric-Skin-Care-Regimens-on-TikTok"><span style="font-weight: 400;">TikTok video</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> from the study, the teen creator slathered on 10 products in six minutes and developed a painful rash on camera. “I don’t know what’s happening. But if anybody knows how to get it to stop burning, that would be greatly appreciated, because it actually hurts a lot,” </span><a href="https://www.powershealth.org/about-us/newsroom/health-library/2025/06/10/advice-in-teen-tiktok-beauty-videos-can-lead-to-skin-damage"><span style="font-weight: 400;">she said</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This intense focus on beauty can also prematurely age kids into the anxious self-consciousness of adolescence. Associate professor of psychology at Barnard College of Columbia University, </span><a href="https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-clarity/202409/the-teen-skincare-craze-and-its-impact-on-mental-health"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tara Well, PhD,</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> says, “Skincare routines, often marketed as confidence-boosting, can have the opposite effect when teens don’t see immediate results or experience breakouts. The pressure to achieve ‘perfect’ skin can worsen insecurities.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Luckily, the solution is simpler than nailing the right order for applying mists, serums, and lotions. But it might not get as many likes or subscribers as that watermelon spritz. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro headed to a West Philadelphia hair salon to sign a bill that would prohibit “hair discrimination” in the state.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The CROWN Act, which stands for &#8220;Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair,&#8221; explicitly calls for protections for &#8220;natural&#8221; hairstyles, including locs, braids, twists, afros, and more. The legislation passed the state Senate with a 44-3 vote.</span></p>
<p>&#8220;Real freedom means being respected for who you are — no matter what you look like, where you come from, who you love, or who you pray to,” Shapiro <a href="https://www.pa.gov/governor/newsroom/2025-press-releases/governor-shapiro-signs-crown-act-into-law">said</a>. &#8220;For too long, many Pennsylvanians have faced discrimination simply for hairstyles that reflect their identity and culture — that ends today.&#8221;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">House Speaker Joanna McClinton and U.S. Democratic Rep. La’Tasha D. Mayes have been working to get the CROWN Act implemented since 2019. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Both women said the motivations were personal. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;I never wore braids from law school to being a public defender for seven years in this city, because I always had a perception that it would not be respected,&#8221; McClinton said. &#8220;They will not look at your hair and say you cannot work here. They will not look at your hair and say you do not belong.&#8221; </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Hair discrimination has taken confidence from our children, but that ends today,&#8221; Mayes added. &#8220;Hair discrimination has taken dignity from workers, but that ends today. It has taken access to economic opportunities, hopes and dreams, but that begins to end today.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The CROWN Act was introduced in the House of Representatives in 2021 and was approved in 2023. It was reintroduced in both the House and Senate last year, but has not passed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Twenty-eight other states have similar legislation on the books.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Black hair has been a hot topic of conversation lately, especially during former first lady Michelle Obama’s book tour. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Obama said that black women are “trapped” by societal pressure regarding their looks and feel compelled to keep their hair straight, meaning they can’t participate in everyday activities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Let me explain something to white people. Our hair comes out of our head naturally in a curly pattern,” the 61-year-old said earlier this month</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">. “When we straighten it to follow your beauty standards, we are trapped by the straightness.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“That’s why so many of us can’t swim, and we run away from the water. People won’t go to the gym because we’re trying to keep our hair straight for y’all! It’s exhausting, expensive and takes up so much time.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Obama concluded by effusively telling society to “get out of&#8221; her hair.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“So why do we need an act … an act of law to get white folks out of our hair? Don’t tell me how to wear my hair. Don’t wonder about it. Don’t touch it. Just don’t. It just is.”</span></p>

<p>The backlash against Maybelline echoes last month&#8217;s Bud Light-Dylan Mulvaney debacle. After its fiasco with Mulvaney, Bud Light became even cheaper than water, at least at one Pennsylvania store.</p>

<p>The beer brand and its parent company, Anheuser-Busch, have been stuck in a public relations nightmare since it struck an endorsement deal with Dylan Mulvaney, a flamboyant trans influencer who claims to be a woman. Mulvaney<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqgTftujqZc/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=be47ac0a-7017-4d6d-a424-8dcf6d27a837" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVGDPlG42bU" target="_blank" rel="noopener">video</a> to his 1.8 million Instagram followers on April 1, and sales of Bud Light promptly cratered.</p>

<p>“This month I celebrated my day 365 of womanhood, and Bud Light sent me possibly the best gift ever, a can with my face on it,” Mulvaney said.</p>

<p>After beer drinkers abandoned Bud Light in droves, the company put two of the marketing execs behind the ill-advised idea on ice. But sales have not rebounded, even with prices marked down.</p>

<p>“At this point, it’s cheaper than some of the cases of water we’re selling in the back,” Andy Wagner, the manager of Glenn Miller’s Beer &amp; Soda Warehouse in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, told the<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/29/business/bud-light-sales.html?searchResultPosition=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Times</a>. “It’s just not moving like it used to.”</p>

<p>“It’s not that they stopped drinking beer,” he continued. “They just stopped buying Bud Light.”  He said Anheuser-Busch broke “bar rules,&#8221; which means “no politics, no religion.”</p>

<p>Bud Light was the best-selling beer in the United States for over 20 years. In 2022, its sales surpassed $5 billion, but it has now been surpassed by Modelo Especial. In the four weeks ending in mid-June, Bud Light sales plummeted an average of 29 percent from the same period in 2022, according to the consulting firm Bump Williams. Since early April, Anheuser-Busch’s stock has plunged over 15%.</p>

‘My Eyes Hurt’: Maybelline Trashed After Using Bearded Man To Sell Lipstick

<p style="font-weight: 400;">A report comprised of three studies showed that people who thought they were less attractive were more likely to wear masks.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The <a href="https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2023.1084941/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> was derived from three studies conducted by the Department of Psychology and Center for Happiness Studies at Seoul National University in South Korea. The first two studies found that people who thought they were good-looking were less willing to wear a mask; they were less likely to believe that mask-wearing made them look better. The third study found that their belief was stronger in situations where they needed to deliver a favorable impression.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Research shows that individuals who perceive themselves as more (vs. less) attractive possess more socially desirable attributes &#8230; have higher self-esteem &#8230; and enjoy better mental and physical health,” the study stated.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The study claims that “as essential cues that signal (un) attractiveness (e.g., facial symmetry) &#8230; can be censored with a mask, mask-wearing might critically influence how one’s attractiveness is perceived. &#8230; relatively unattractive individuals are deemed more attractive with masks &#8230; previous findings suggest that mask-wearing enhances perceived attractiveness among unattractive individuals, while the opposite is true for attractive individuals.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The study points out that in South Korea, the term “ma-gi-kkun,” was coined to refer to people who intentionally wore a mask to give a more favorable impression; the study cites the American term “mask-fisher” to mean the same thing.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“We expect that individuals who perceive themselves as attractive (unattractive) will be less (more) likely to endorse the belief that wearing a mask <em>enhances</em> their perceived attractiveness,” the study states, concluding, “Our results consistently demonstrated that self-perceived unattractive individuals were more willing to wear a mask, as they believed it would benefit their attractiveness.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The Daily Mail <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-11702641/Unattractive-people-likely-continue-wearing-Covid-face-masks-study-suggests.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the people examined in the study were Americans recruited from Amazon Mechanical Turk and the average age of those in the study was 33 years old.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">According to an Ipsos <a href="https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/news-polls/axios-ipsos-coronavirus-index" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from early December, roughly half of the Americans they surveyed reported wearing masks “at all times or sometimes when on an airplane.” 39% of respondents said they wore masks at all times or sometimes when on public transportation or in a rideshare; 33% said they wore masks at all times or sometimes in grocery stores. 85% of respondents said that the COVID-19 virus would not go away during their lifetimes.</p>

<p>Supermodel Cindy Crawford made some refreshing comments about age and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/beauty" target="_blank" rel="noopener">beauty</a>, saying she doesn&#8217;t want people to call her &#8220;ageless,&#8221; adding that she doesn&#8217;t look 25 anymore, nor does she think she needs to.</p>
<p>The 56-year-old model talked about how terms like &#8220;ageless&#8221; place “too much pressure” on her to look like she&#8217;s 30 years younger, citing our &#8220;youth-obsessed culture,&#8221; <a href="https://hauteliving.com/2022/11/the-transformation-of-cindy-crawford-haute-living-cover-story/719814/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Haute Living</a> reported in a recent piece.</p>
<p>&#8220;I know all the ways that I&#8217;ve aged,&#8221; Crawford shared. &#8220;My face has gotten much thinner; my mouth isn&#8217;t as full. Being told I&#8217;m ageless isn&#8217;t right, especially because getting older is hard enough, never mind that we live in a youth-obsessed culture.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not 25, so why should I be trying to look 25?&#8221; she added. &#8220;Why do I want someone to mistake me for a 25-year-old? I&#8217;ve had children. I have all this life experience.&#8221;</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">“The endless flood of vicious insult is really not something that can be experienced anywhere else,” Peterson wrote. “I like to follow the people I know but I think the incentive structure of the platform makes it intrinsically and dangerously insane.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“So I told my staff to change my password, to keep me from temptation, and am departing once again,” he added. “If I have something to say I&#8217;ll write an article or make a video. If the issue is not important enough to justify that then perhaps it would be best to just let it go.”</p>
