A federal immigration judge on Wednesday ordered the deportation of Mohsen Mahdawi, an anti-Israel activist and Columbia University graduate who has become a target of the Trump administration&#8217;s crackdown on foreign students accused of supporting terrorist organizations. 
Mahdawi, a Vermont resident originally from the Judea and Samaria area, was ordered removed to Jordan after abandoning his asylum claim, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2026/06/10/mohsen-mahdawi-columbia-deportation-00957506?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp;utm_medium=twitter">according to Politico.</a> He has appealed the ruling to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. 
The activist first drew national attention in March 2025 when Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested him during a citizenship interview.
Two weeks later, a district court judge released Mahdawi. In February 2026, his deportation case was dismissed, but the federal government appealed the decision.
In April, the Board of Immigration Appeals reinstated removal proceedings against Mahdawi, according to a letter from his attorneys <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.ca2.9122336d-3eb3-4022-aba2-4f11ea8a7dfd/gov.uscourts.ca2.9122336d-3eb3-4022-aba2-4f11ea8a7dfd.232.0.pdf">obtained by Politico.</a> After Mahdawi abandoned his asylum claim, an immigration judge ordered him removed from the United States.
According to the American Civil Liberties Union, the Trump administration argued that Mahdawi&#8217;s activism was “<a href="https://www.mynbc5.com/article/mohsen-mahdawi-appeals-deportation/71550841">harmful to U.S. foreign policy.”</a>
Mahdawi attended Columbia University, where he co-founded the Palestinian Student Union with Mahmoud Khalil, another anti-Israel activist detained and facing deportation, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2026/06/10/mohsen-mahdawi-columbia-deportation-00957506?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp;utm_medium=twitter">according to Politico. </a>
&#8220;I come from a refugee camp in Palestine, where my family still resides. I know what it means to live without rights, without voice, without safety. America was the first place I ever felt true freedom and dignity,” Mahdawi <a href="https://www.aclu.org/press-releases/mohsen-mahdawi-appeals-retaliatory-ruling-from-board-of-immigration-appeals-to-federal-appeals-court">said in a statement.</a> 
“For over a decade, I have built my life here, loved this community, and chosen this country&#8217;s ideals as my own. When a government weaponizes immigration to punish speech, millions of immigrants and citizens feel that blow,” he added. 
Mahdawi&#8217;s detention was part of a broader Trump administration effort targeting foreign college students accused of expressing support for designated terrorist organizations. The State Department has also revoked thousands of student visas.
The administration is separately pursuing the deportation of Khalil.
“Khalil led activities aligned to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization,” then-DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/anti-israel-activist-detained-by-ice-led-activities-aligned-to-hamas-trumps-dhs-says">announced</a> last year.
“It is a privilege, not a right, to be in this country to live or to study,&#8221; she added. &#8220;And if you are pushing propaganda that relishes the killings of Americans or promotes terrorists, the door’s that way.”

Democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was interrupted by far-Left anti-Israel protesters while defending an anti-Israel Senate candidate on Monday.
During an event for the National Press Club, a protester shouted about Israel while Sanders was defending Senate hopeful Graham Platner, who has a Nazi-linked tattoo and has been accused of abusing former girlfriends.
&#8220;Israel doesn&#8217;t need defensive systems! They&#8217;re a genocidal apartheid state!&#8221; a male protester shouted at Sanders. &#8220;And let me remind you, 59 years ago, Israel attacked the USS Liberty and killed 34 Americans!&#8221; The man was escorted out of the venue.

At another point during the interview, a woman wearing a hijab stood up and shouted, &#8220;Israel needs to be stopped!&#8221;
&#8220;How dare you continue to support Israel when they keep killing Palestinians,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;There&#8217;s a genocide! Shame on you, Bernie, for not speaking up!&#8221; The woman was also escorted from the room.
Platner, who is running for the U.S. Senate in Maine, has previously claimed that he didn&#8217;t understand the significance of his tattoo, which was a symbol used by Nazi Germany’s SS. However, recent accounts reported in the New York Times seem to contradict that narrative.
&#8220;I&#8217;m gonna do everything I can to make sure that Graham Platner is the next senator from the state of Maine,&#8221; Sanders said at the event before the disruption.
After one protester was escorted out, Sanders turned his attention to Republicans to explain his support for Platner. &#8220;Republican super PACs have already lined up some $99 million just on TV ads to defeat him. Why is that? Do you think they&#8217;re worried about his views or what his relationships to women has been? I don&#8217;t think so. What they&#8217;re worried about is that he&#8217;s going to be a strong voice against oligarchy.&#8221;
The senator also connected Platner&#8217;s past controversies to having PTSD. &#8220;He&#8217;s [now] gotten his life together,&#8221; Sanders said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t know what is true or not true. &#8230; There are people in the United States Senate right now who are not saints.&#8221;
Sanders similarly dismissed Platner&#8217;s troubling background earlier this month, saying, “Is he a saint? I guess not. I don’t know too many saints here.”
Platner is expected to cruise to victory in Tuesday&#8217;s Democratic primary for Maine&#8217;s U.S. Senate seat after Democratic Governor Janet Mills suspended her campaign at the end of April. Mills remains on the ballot, however, having never formally withdrawn, and has reminded voters that her name will still appear in the primary. The winner of the Democratic primary will challenge Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) in the November general election.

Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed has finally said the quiet part out loud.
The far-Left Democratic darling — currently locked in a three-way primary to succeed retiring Democratic Sen. Gary Peters — blew up his own outreach efforts at a &#8220;Jews for Abdul&#8221; campaign event in Pontiac, Michigan, after admitting he &#8220;struggles&#8221; to answer whether Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish state.
In a leaked audio recording obtained by <a href="https://jewishinsider.com/2026/05/abdul-el-sayed-struggles-israel-right-to-exist-jewish-state/">Jewish Insider</a>, the Bernie Sanders-backed radical didn’t just sidestep the question — he turned on his own audience and demanded they justify Israel’s existence under “liberal values.”
&#8220;I often struggle with the question that people ask in this particular scenario, because what they now ask is, ‘Do you believe in the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state,’ which, to me, forces the question of a definition of what a Jewish state means,” El-Sayed barked back at an audience member who called him out for dodging inquiries on the Jewish state.
He then took it a step further, aggressively turning the tables on the crowd. “I need folks who want to ask me that question [to explain] what it is that they mean by that, and how that is consistent with any form of liberal values that we say we believe in here in the United States,&#8221; El-Sayed said.

The epidemiologist and anti-establishment favorite then rolled out the standard far-Left playbook, smearing America&#8217;s ally by accusing Israel of implementing &#8220;apartheid&#8221; in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza. He further grumbled that the question of Israel’s right to exist unfairly overlooks “the rights of people who’ve been displaced by Israeli action” dating back to 1948.
El-Sayed’s statements took place in front of a paltry audience of just a &#8220;few dozen&#8221; people, according to campaign photos — at least one of whom wasn&#8217;t even Jewish, according to Jewish Insider.
The shock audio drops a massive bomb on El-Sayed’s already controversial campaign, which has sent shockwaves of panic through Michigan&#8217;s sizable Jewish community. The leftist Muslim candidate has repeatedly faced fierce backlash for cozying up to toxic anti-Israel extremists.
El-Sayed sparked fury following a terrifying Hezbollah-inspired terrorist attack at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, where a fanatic attempted to murder 140 children by driving an explosive-laden truck into the synagogue&#8217;s preschool. El-Sayed rationalized the near-massacre, declaring that &#8220;hurt people hurt people.&#8221;
Worse yet, El-Sayed followed the synagogue attack by boasting about joint campaign appearances with Hasan Piker — a toxic, self-described Marxist Twitch streamer who has previously slurred Orthodox Jews as &#8220;inbred&#8221; and claimed America deserved the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Insiders say the leaked audio confirms what critics have warned about for months: El-Sayed is eagerly currying favor with the hardline Islamist political infrastructure in Dearborn. A previous leaked recording already caught El-Sayed ordering his staff to stay silent on the joint U.S.-Israeli elimination of Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier this year, explicitly admitting he didn&#8217;t want to anger Dearborn voters who would be &#8220;sad&#8221; over the death of the theocratic, terror-sponsoring butcher.

At least 272 times. That’s how often Doctors Without Borders accused Israel of “genocide” in social media posts following the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023. Beyond the obviously disproportionate emphasis, the NGO, known in French as MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières), added its considerable voice to a political campaign in which the label genocide is reinterpreted uniquely for Israel, and in which the evidence is cynically manipulated.
As this and many other activities demonstrated, MSF has abandoned its mission of medical neutrality in joining virulent anti-Israel campaigns and abdicated its credibility, as a <a href="https://ngo-monitor.org/reports/ngo-malpractice-msf-doctors-without-borders-and-the-gaza-genocide-campaign/">new detailed research report from NGO Monitor</a> documents.
MSF repeated the false genocide accusation obsessively in press briefings, via actions by regional branches, and across social accounts. At least 272 times. It did not apply the label to Russia’s war in Ukraine nor to massive and indiscriminate regime bombing in Syria. Its focus cannot even be attributed to the centrality of Israel and Gaza in Western media; MSF all but ignored Hamas’ taking of Israeli hostages, referencing them as primary subjects in only three posts across all its international feeds – less than 1.1% of its “genocide” accusations.
To further anti-Israel narratives, MSF egregiously violated its claims of “strict adherence to humanitarian principles, independence, and medical ethics” following the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023. This would be concerning on its own, but it is especially horrific coming from a long-respected medical aid group.
“Genocide” is a consequential term. Coined by Jewish scholar Raphael Lemkin in the shadow of the Holocaust to denote its unprecedented evil, the label has rightly been sparingly employed, necessitating thresholds of mass carnage and, according to Lemkin, the “intent to destroy.”
In the Gaza conflict, there is clearly no intent on the part of Israel, other than to prevent Hamas from perpetrating another October 7-like calamity. Nevertheless, from the earliest moments of the Israeli response, MSF advanced increasingly defamatory labels for Israeli actions while consistently whitewashing Hamas’ crimes. MSF’s first social media post hours into the Hamas invasion – as hundreds of terrorists were still rampaging across southern Israel, murdering civilians, carrying out sexual atrocities, and taking hostages – was an <a href="https://x.com/MSF/status/1710665419164373462">unverified accusation</a> that Israel had caused the death of a nurse and an ambulance driver, dryly referencing a backdrop of “escalation between Israel and Gaza.”
Its press release on October 8 attempted <a href="https://www.msf.org/msf-performs-surgeries-donates-supplies-gaza-amid-overcrowded-facilities">to focus attention</a> on Israeli aggression and Gazan victimhood – again, as Hamas terrorists were still present in Israel. The statement included a casualty count provided by the Hamas-controlled Gaza Ministry of Health, and only briefly mentioned the Israeli death toll, without addressing the Hamas assault.
MSF’s role as a primary source of misinformation came to an early head on October 17, when a large explosion occurred in the vicinity of Gaza’s Al-Ahli hospital. Within a very short time, the NGO issued and intensely promoted a <a href="https://www.doctorswithoutborders.ca/msf-condemns-bombing-of-ahli-arab-hospital-in-gaza/">press release</a> quoting Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah, an MSF doctor who called the event “a massacre,” and who was paraded across Western media as an expert eyewitness to this ostensible example of “Israeli brutality.” In <a href="https://quillette.com/2025/12/10/the-humanitarian-mask-medecins-sans-frontieres-doctors-without-borders-gaza-israel/">further MSF-arranged interviews</a>, he used the event to accuse Israel of “systematically destroying Gaza’s health infrastructure,” and called it the moment he decided that Israel’s military campaign “stopped being a war, and became a genocide.”
But subsequent government analyses by the United States, Canada, and France, as well as an investigation by the <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/23/pageoneplus/editors-note-gaza-hospital-coverage.html">New York Times</a>, concluded that the damage to the hospital was minimal and had been caused by a misfired Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket. Yet MSF never retracted or amended its claims, so that anyone using its reports and posts would continue to conclude that Israel was to be blamed for a “massacre.”
This trend of knee-jerk Israel demonization mounted as the war continued. In an <a href="https://www.msf.org/letter-gaza-un-security-council">open letter</a> to the UN Security Council on December 4, 2023, MSF International President Christos Christou accused Israel of “incessant and indiscriminate warfare,” and argued that “subjecting an entire population to collective punishment is a war crime under International Humanitarian Law” – assertions far beyond the purview of this ostensibly medical NGO. In October 2024, MSF <a href="https://www.msf.org/israel-and-allies-must-bring-year-long-war-gaza-end">accused Israel</a> of “unmitigated slaughter” without acknowledging Hamas’ exploitation of medical facilities (<a href="https://ngo-monitor.org/reports/hamas-misuse-hospitals-docs/">documented in depth</a> by NGO Monitor).
And in December 2024, MSF graduated to “genocide.” The NGO published a <a href="https://www.msf.org/life-death-trap-gaza-palestine">report</a> entitled “Life in a Death Trap,” framing Israel’s campaign to return its hostages and eliminate the Hamas threat as “crushing an entire population under bombs and rubble,” “ethnic cleansing,” and attempting “to unravel the very fabric of society in Gaza.”
MSF did acknowledge that it “do[es not] have legal authority to establish intentionality,” a core requirement for any finding of genocide. No matter, MSF decided: “our firsthand observations…are consistent with the descriptions provided by an increasing number of legal experts and organizations concluding that genocide is taking place in Gaza.” The only legal body MSF referenced, though, was the International Court of Justice (ICJ) – and MSF’s version markedly misrepresents the ICJ’s <a href="https://www.ajc.org/news/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-latest-international-court-of-justice-action-in-the-case">provisional</a> ruling, which did not actually make any determination on whether genocide had occurred.
MSF was founded in order to provide medical assistance to those most in need. Its recent behavior, however, has undermined that goal, stripping away the organization’s benevolent facade. Humanitarians do not ignore the actions of terrorist organizations. And humanitarians do not spread heinous allegations of “genocide” against the victims of hardened and unrepentant terrorist groups.

An illegal immigrant was found guilty in a 2025 attempted knife attack at the Israeli embassy in London.
A jury found him guilty of preparation of terrorist acts and possession of two bladed articles May 1.
Abdullah Albadri, 34, tried to scale the fence around the embassy before armed diplomatic protection officers arrested him April 28, 2025, <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cze25yz8dnxo">according</a> to the BBC.
“Why are you stopping me from making crimes?” Albadri asked the officers when they detained him.
An investigation after the attack found that Albadri wanted revenge against the Israeli government over the war in Gaza, <a href="https://news.met.police.uk/news/man-convicted-of-planning-terrorist-attack-at-embassy-of-israel-508882">according</a> to the Metropolitan Police.
“I want to do something to stop the war,” Albadri told the officers who arrested him.
He had arrived in the U.K. just 16 days before the attack, crossing the English Channel from France by small boat. It was the second time he&#8217;d illegally entered the country in the same manner in four years, the BBC reported.
Albadri said during the trial that he is a member of the Bedoon tribe and grew up in Kuwait. He spent five years in prison in his home country after becoming an activist.
He first entered the U.K. in August 2021 via small boat and claimed asylum. He claimed he took a truck that he thought was going to Manchester, but instead ended up in France.
He returned to the U.K. on April 12, 2025, where he spent almost two weeks homeless in London. Twelve days after his arrival, he began looking for the location of the Israeli embassy and looked up information about “suicide among enemies,” according to the BBC.
Albadri had copied a verse titled “the benefit of martyrdom,” which was found on him when he was arrested. He also wrote a note and sent a picture of it with a knife to his mother.
“I will attack in the way of Allah and for the sake of being free from humiliation in this world,” Albadri wrote in the note.
He also messaged his mother, “I chose the path of martyrdom.”
Albadri then traveled across the city to the Israeli embassy in Kensington Gardens. He was wearing a red and white Arabic scarf, which covered his face except for his eyes — which were hidden by sunglasses.
When Albadri reached the embassy, he saluted two officers and then attempted to scale the fence. The officers pulled him off the fence and pinned him to the ground.
Five officers, one in plainclothes, detained and handcuffed him.
“I want to make a crime inside there. Why are you stopping me? Why are you stopping me from making crimes?” he asked the officers. “Why didn’t you let me in? And then do what you want to do?”
Authorities believed that, based on the evidence collected and his statements at the time of his capture, Albadri might have been hoping to get shot by the officers in &#8220;suicide by cop.&#8221;
Albadri is set to be sentenced at a later date.

Democrats in Michigan nominated a Muslim attorney who has honored terrorists for a position on the University of Michigan&#8217;s Board of Regents.
At the Michigan Democratic Party&#8217;s nominating convention on Sunday night, delegates chose Amir Makled over incumbent regent Jordan Acker for a seat on the board that controls the university&#8217;s budget and leadership appointments, The Detroit News <a href="https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2026/04/19/jordan-acker-university-of-michigan-board-of-regents-amir-makled-wins-democratic-convention-vote/89691921007/">reported</a>. The contrast in the race could not have been clearer for Democratic delegates, who ultimately picked a Muslim who recently shared a post that referred to Israelis as &#8220;demons&#8221; over a Jewish regent who has faced antisemitic attacks.
Last June, Makled <a href="https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/michigan/2026/04/09/university-of-michigan-regent-candidate-lawyer-amir-makled-deletes-posts-praising-hezbollah-leaders/89533176007/">shared</a> a post that called former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah a &#8220;martyr,&#8221; less than a year after Nasrallah was taken out in an Israeli airstrike. Another post shared by Makled honored Hezbollah official Abu Ali Khalil as a &#8220;martyr on the road to Jerusalem.&#8221;
In July 2025, Makled shared a post from Candace Owens, in which Owens referred to Israelis as &#8220;demons&#8221; who &#8220;lie, steal, cheat, murder, and blackmail.&#8221; The Muslim lawyer has since deleted those social media posts.
Makled secured the nomination over Acker, who has faced antisemitic threats from anti-Israel radicals following Hamas&#8217; attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. In December of 2024, Acker&#8217;s home was vandalized and damaged, and his wife&#8217;s car was spray painted with the words &#8220;Divest&#8221; and &#8220;Free Palestine.&#8221; Anti-Israel radicals also vandalized Acker&#8217;s law firm building, which police investigated as a hate crime, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/09/us/university-of-michigan-regents-vandalized-acker">reported</a>.
Last year, Acker, along with regents Mark Bernstein and Sarah Hubbard, were given 24/7 security due to threats from anti-Israel demonstrators. Makled represented anti-Israel students who were arrested and charged last year with trespassing and resisting arrest when police broke up an encampment on Michigan&#8217;s campus.
The nomination of Makled over Acker reflects a major shift in the Democratic Party throughout the country, which has seen multiple leftist Muslims elected to public office. That shift is on full display in Michigan this year as another leftist Muslim, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, is in a tight race for the Democratic nomination to the open seat for U.S. Senate. El-Sayed <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/19/politics/michigan-senate-democratic-primary">told</a> CNN over the weekend that Hamas is just as evil as the Israeli government.
The Michigan Democratic Party did not release the vote tally for Sunday&#8217;s nominating convention. For many statewide offices in Michigan, the Democratic Party chooses its nominees through delegates who meet to cast their votes at a nominating convention. Acker&#8217;s ticket-mate, Paul Brown, who has also called for punishment for anti-Israel demonstrators, was renominated to run alongside Makled in the general election.
Makled rode a wave of support from leftist University of Michigan students and campus labor unions to his nomination victory.
“This is beyond the support that I was expecting,” Makled <a href="https://www.michigandaily.com/news/administration/amir-makled-defeats-regent-jordan-acker-at-democratic-convention-to-run-alongside-incumbent-paul-brown/">said</a> after he was nominated. “This is the largest convention I’ve participated in in 20 years, and I’ve been coming to them since 2006. This really shows how much the Democratic Party has expanded the electorate and energized the base of what people want to see come November.”
Makled will face Republicans Lena Epstein and Michael Schostak in the general election on November 3.
Not all Democrats were enthused by Makled&#8217;s candidacy. Acker said that parts of the messages sent to The Guardian appeared to be &#8220;doctored,&#8221; adding that Acker &#8220;has never been on Slack.&#8221; Acker told The Detroit News that the allegations published in The Guardian are &#8220;ridiculous&#8221; and &#8220;fake.&#8221;

Self-described “Democratic socialist” Zohran Mamdani will soon govern New York City, capitalism’s hub in America and the free world, and internal plans from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) outline how its NYC chapter intends to pressure the mayor-elect to inject extreme anti-Israel policies into the management and life of the Big Apple.
Mamdani, who triumphed over former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa, has long been active in the DSA and is listed as one of the group’s nine “New York State Socialists in Office.” The DSA strongly supported his primary and general election campaigns, though he sought to distance himself from the organization’s more revolutionary rhetoric during the race.
<a href="https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/elections/socialist-will-govern-capitalist-capital-heres-what-socialists-who">Just the News</a> obtained a leaked internal document reportedly from the NYC-DSA’s Anti-War Working Group (AWWG), titled “AWWG Palestine Policy Meeting = Meeting Agenda &amp; Notes.” The document, distributed at what was promoted as a public meeting, lays out a detailed strategy for pushing the newly elected Mamdani toward adopting anti-Israel policies. The proposals include: Divesting city pension funds from Israeli bonds; withdrawing city money from banks with Israeli ties; ending city contracts with companies connected to Israel; banning Israeli products from city-run grocery stores; investigating real estate agents for alleged illegal sales in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria); removing nonprofit status from charities that raise funds for the Israel Defense Forces; dismantling current Mayor Eric Adams’ NYC-Israel Economic Council; terminating NYPD cooperation with Israeli police and military, and arresting Israeli officials and soldiers for alleged war crimes.
In 2017, as a rapper, Mamdani praised and voiced his “<a href="https://nypost.com/2025/06/21/us-news/socialist-nyc-mayoral-candidate-zohran-mamdani-once-rapped-about-his-love-for-hamas-teror-funding-group-holy-land-five/">love</a>” for the Holy Land Foundation Five, who were convicted for funneling $12 million to Hamas.
Mamdani founded Bowdoin College’s chapter of the virulently anti-Israel group Students for Justice in Palestine.
Speaking in 2023, Mamdani’s hyper-antisemitism, intertwined with his socialist contempt for police and the capitalist system, was amply displayed in a comment about the NYPD and Israel.
Mamdani referred to the “boot of the NYPD” being on the neck of New York City residents, adding that the “boot” was “laced by the IDF.”
In May 2025, Mamdani, who supports the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement that seeks to isolate the state of Israel, <a href="https://jewishinsider.com/2025/05/zohran-mamdani-new-york-mayor-candidate-forum-uja-jcrc-ny-cuomo-jewish-israel/">refused to say</a> whether Israel had a right to exist as a Jewish state. He has <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/what-nyc-mayoral-frontrunner-zohran-mamdani-has-said-about-jews-and-israel/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">repeatedly referred</a> to Israel’s war against Hamas as a “genocide.”
Mamdani has sponsored a bill that would fine Jewish groups at least $1 million for donating to “unauthorized” charities operating in Israel. The legislation would ban Jewish synagogues and charities from donating to groups such as United Hatzalah and ZAK. These nonprofit groups specialize in emergency response and treatment of victims of terrorism, according to <a href="https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/antisemitism/article-859627?dicbo=v2-puQTs4k#google_vignette">The Jerusalem Post</a>.

In a <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11/04/bbc-arabic-bias-pushed-hamas-lies/">blistering internal report</a> that reads like an indictment of the BBC’s own integrity, whistleblower documents reveal that BBC Arabic deliberately downplayed Israeli suffering in the Gaza war while racing to air unverified, Hamas-sourced claims designed to cast the Jewish state as the villain. The memo, written by Michael Prescott, a former adviser to the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines Committee, accuses the Arabic service of systemic bias, misinformation, and a shocking tolerance of antisemitic voices.
According to the report, BBC Arabic repeatedly parroted Hamas talking points while omitting or minimizing Israel’s perspective — even when evidence contradicted militant propaganda. Allegations against Israel were rushed to broadcast “without adequate checks,” suggesting not mere carelessness but, as Prescott wrote, “a desire always to believe the worst about Israel.”
The BBC’s English-language coverage told one story; its Arabic wing, quite another. In July 2024, after Hezbollah rockets killed nine children in the Israeli town of Majdal Shams, the BBC’s English site mentioned the victims and Israel’s retaliation. BBC Arabic? It omitted the children’s deaths entirely, highlighted Hezbollah’s denials, and the next day suggested Israel might have faked the attack.
Prescott’s letter accuses BBC Arabic of providing a platform to extremists who openly glorify violence against Jews. One contributor, Samer Elzaenen — who once posted “We shall burn you as Hitler did” — appeared on the network 244 times. Another, Ahmed Alagha, who called Jews “devils” and “not human beings,” appeared more than 500 times. Yet BBC executives defended these individuals as “eyewitnesses,” not staff reporters. Prescott wasn’t buying it: “Most viewers would consider hundreds of appearances… to amount to being part of the BBC’s reporting team.”
The report also blasted the BBC for amplifying Hamas propaganda about Gaza’s death toll, long after the United Nations revised down its own inflated statistics. BBC Arabic continued to treat Hamas-run agencies as credible sources, even after internal reviewers warned that claims of Israeli “mass graves” and “genocide” lacked any independent verification.
In one instance, BBC coverage suggested Israeli forces buried thousands of Palestinians in hospital courtyards — a narrative later disproven, as the graves were dug by Palestinians themselves. Another blunder involved a claim that 14,000 babies were “hours from starvation,” when the real number referred to children at risk over a year. The BBC quietly corrected the article online — but repeated the falsehood the same night on “Newsnight.”
Perhaps most damning, the BBC misreported that the International Court of Justice had ruled Israel’s war a “plausible genocide.” That was false — and took months to correct. Former BBC television director Danny Cohen condemned the leadership’s response: “Having made such serious and misleading errors, BBC executives chose to hide them from the public rather than correct the record.”
When internal reviewers flagged these issues, senior managers brushed them aside. Jonathan Munro, the BBC’s news content chief, praised BBC Arabic’s “exceptional journalism” and even bragged it was “almost as trusted as Al Jazeera.” Prescott shot back: “Is Al Jazeera the new gold standard? The BBC exists to reflect British values — not echo Qatar’s propaganda outlet.”
The scandal follows another major credibility crisis for the corporation — a Panorama documentary that doctored a Donald Trump speech to make it appear he incited the Capitol riot. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy and media regulator Ofcom now face growing calls to launch a full investigation into the BBC’s bias and editorial collapse.
As the memo concludes, “The BBC is prone to claiming it gets equal complaints from both sides. But looking at the evidence, it’s hard to argue the BBC is biased toward Israel. Quite the opposite.”
At a time when Britain’s taxpayer-funded broadcaster is supposed to counter global disinformation, it is helping Hamas craft its narrative and eroding trust in one of the nation’s most sacred institutions.

Some of them will be deported to third countries. Some of them will go to East Jerusalem.&#8221;
&#8220;Now, we&#8217;ve seen family members of those hostages trickle in to the city of Bethania, which is where I am, and they don&#8217;t know how long it&#8217;s going to take,&#8221; she said, referring to the prisoners as &#8220;hostages.&#8221;
&#8220;In the past, it&#8217;s taken in some cases hours. And they were released in the middle of the night. In some cases, it&#8217;s happened quite quickly. So it might be a very long day here,&#8221; she explained before pivoting back to attack Israel for holding some of the prisoners.
&#8220;But over to Gaza, 1,700 Palestinians detained in Gaza will be released. They are in some cases minors, doctors, nurses, journalists who have never been charged. It&#8217;s really important for people to remember that they&#8217;ve been held under what&#8217;s called administrative detention. It&#8217;s a controversial practice that allows Israel to detain people for an indefinite period of time without charging them,&#8221; she said. &#8220;These people do not know why they have been detained and so, in the eyes of many Palestinians, you ask them, they consider those people held without charge also as hostages. And Palestinian officials will tell you that they believe Israel has been arresting them, arresting as many as they can to gather to amass as many bargaining chips as possible for these negotiations.&#8221;

A man who expressed anti-Israel views and called Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro a “monster” pleaded guilty to all charges on Tuesday morning after firebombing the Governor’s Residence in April.
Cody Balmer, 38, pleaded guilty to charges of attempted homicide and terrorism, along with dozens of arson-related charges, The Philadelphia Inquirer <a href="https://www.inquirer.com/crime/cody-balmer-arson-guilty-plea-josh-shapiro-mansion-fire-20251014.html">reported</a>. Balmer was sentenced to 25 to 50 years in prison.
Balmer scaled the property fence and broke into the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence at around 2:00 a.m. on April 13, shortly after Shapiro — who is Jewish — finished celebrating Passover with his family. The arsonist lit multiple homemade incendiary devices and threw them on the floor inside the home as Shapiro and his family slept, security footage shows. Balmer then fled the property.

After the blaze erupted, the governor and his family were awakened by state troopers and escaped unharmed. The fire damaged much of the home, costing more than $7 million to repair, the Inquirer reported.
Hours after he set the fire, Balmer called police and admitted to the attack, saying that he would not “take part in [Shapiro’s] plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,” The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/arsonist-arrested-for-attack-on-josh-shapiro-hated-israel-911-call-reveals">reported</a>. Balmer told authorities that he strongly disagreed with Shapiro’s stance on the war between Israel and Hamas and admitted that he would have beaten Shapiro with a hammer if he had encountered the governor during his rampage, according to police documents.

Balmer had past run-ins with law enforcement, and his mother said that he is “mentally ill and he went off his medication.” In 2023, police responded to a call from Balmer’s home, and he reportedly told police that he attempted suicide with a “bottle full of pills” and got into a fight with his wife and 13-year-old son. His wife alleged that Balmer hit the teenager and punched her in the face and bit her. He was charged with three counts of simple assault at the time.
Last year, as Shapiro was on the shortlist of potential running mates for then-Vice President Kamala Harris, the governor faced intense criticism from many on the Left for his stance on the war in Gaza. Harris ultimately skipped over Shapiro and selected Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz. Shapiro maintained that he was not passed over due to any form of antisemitism within the party.

California State University, Northridge, is facing a wrongful termination lawsuit from an employee who alleges he was fired “because of his political views against antisemitism and advocacy on behalf of Jewish students and faculty.”
Sam Lingrosso, the university&#8217;s former Director of Academic Employees Relations, says in a <a href="https://peterlawgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/2025-08-11-First-Amended-Complaint_Conformed-4.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">complaint</a> that his December 2024 firing was the result of his efforts to assist Jewish faculty who raised safety concerns related to on-campus antisemitism in the wake of Hamas&#8217;s October 7 attack on Israel, especially near its one-year anniversary. According to a news release, Lingrosso is seeking damages under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act.
“CSUN had a duty to protect their Jewish faculty members and ensure a safe learning environment, free of threats and harassment,” Eyal Farahan, an attorney with the Peter Law Group, which filed the complaint, said in a statement. “Sam’s work should have been celebrated but, instead, he was unlawfully terminated in violation of multiple California statutes that protect employees from harassment.”
The 2023 attacks led to a surge in anti-Israel activism and antisemitic incidents on college campuses throughout the United States. The demonstrations, which ranged from encampments to protests, raised major red flags for Jewish students and staff on those campuses.
In the complaint, it outlines how Lingrosso asked campus police to “facilitate a safety plan” for a professor who raised concerns about “unsettling remarks written on posters he had displayed outside his office depicting American hostages in Israel” and voiced concerns that Jewish students had of “harassment or violence” in the wake of “pro-Palestinian demonstrations on campus.”
Attorneys for the plaintiff wrote in the complaint that Interim Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs Christina L. Von Mayrhauser had given “unwarranted criticism” and undermined Lingrosso, saying it was “a direct consequence of Plaintiff’s proactive efforts to protect the safety and well-being of Jewish faculty and students.” In one incident, the aforementioned professor sent an email to &#8220;Jewish faculty and allies&#8221; thanking Lingrosso for his efforts to improve address safety concerns, but Von Mayrhauser allegedly took issue with a line in the professor&#8217;s message.
&#8220;The contrast between Plaintiff’s decisive actions and others’ inaction — particularly in Professor Katz’s statement that Plaintiff &#8216;has been focused on DOING things rather than talking about them&#8217; — was interpreted by Von Mayrhauser as a direct affront to her leadership. Her reaction was marked by visible displeasure and indignation, as she viewed the email as an attack on her authority and an attempt to undermine her credibility within the institution,&#8221; the complaint states.
Farahan added that campus leadership &#8220;failed to take meaningful action to confront hate and ultimately fostered a climate of indifference and fear&#8221; amid serious antisemitism woes at universities nationwide.
The university disagreed with the claims made in the lawsuit in a statement to The Daily Wire on Monday afternoon.
“California State University, Northridge is aware of a legal complaint filed by a former at-will employee. These spurious allegations are completely unfounded and the University will vigorously defend against them. The University remains committed to maintaining an inclusive and supportive environment for our entire campus community,&#8221; the university said in a statement.

A pro-Palestinian agitation group that celebrated the murder of two Israeli Embassy staff members in May should be classified as a foreign terrorist organization, a watchdog organization told Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The Zachor Legal Institute said Tuesday that the radical group Unity of Fields should be considered a terrorist organization, according to a copy of a complaint sent to Rubio obtained by The Daily Wire. Unity of Fields, previously known as Palestine Action US, is an organization that has called for police officers to be set on fire and encouraged anti-Israel protesters to commit crimes.
Unity of Fields &#8220;is a foreign entity that engages in terrorism and threatens the security of the United States, its institutions, and its people. By promoting terrorism, vandalism, engaging in various acts of violence, and by inciting violence against various targets including law enforcement, police, universities, individuals, and others, UoF has met the criteria to be designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization,” a draft of the complaint said.
“Treating UoF as the terrorist group will enable the full force and assets of the United States government to dismantle the organization and its leaders and prevent them from wreaking havoc against their many targets throughout our country in the future,&#8221; the complaint added.
Shortly after Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were murdered outside the Israeli Embassy in May, Unity of Fields referred to the killing as an act of “love for the Palestinian people.” The suspected killer was a man named Elias Rodriguez.
“What Elias Rodriguez did was an act of solidarity and love for the Palestinian people. If this seems crazy and unhinged to you, ask yourself why you are so well adjusted to a constant stream of disemboweled and starving children—made possible by the country in which you reside,” the organization <a href="https://x.com/unityoffields/status/1925907082009596089" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a>.
It later posted a picture of Rodriguez and called for action to &#8220;bring the war home!&#8221; and to &#8220;Globalize the intifada!&#8221;

In other social media posts, Unity of Fields <a href="https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/antisemitism/article-854132" target="_blank" rel="noopener">referred</a> to police responding to a riot at the University of Washington as “pigs” and suggested that they be set on fire.
Included in the complaint from the Zachor Institute is an “underground manual” that encourages people to spray paint private property, break windows, break into buildings, and damage property. The manual, from Palestine Action, was distributed at a New York chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America.
“Dream up crazy ideas in your cell, remember that your action is to destrupt [sic], damage or destroy your target,” the manual says. “Try not limit your action based on whats been done before. Remind yourself when brainstorming different ideas, what could I do to be creative?”

Unity of Fields was modeled after Palestine Action, an organization that has been labeled a terrorist organization in the United Kingdom.
During his time in the Senate, Rubio <a href="https://x.com/senmarcorubio/status/1846946478171828455?s=46" target="_blank" rel="noopener">asked</a> the Department of Justice to investigate Unity of Fields for “acts of domestic terrorism.”
“As Secretary Rubio aptly <a href="https://x.com/SenMarcoRubio/status/1846946478171828455" target="_blank" rel="noopener">remarked</a> last November, Unity of Fields is a violent, dangerous organization directly related to the U.K.-designated foreign terror organization Palestine Action,” Marc Greendorfer of Zachor Legal Institute told The Daily Wire. “This moment in time demands action be taken to protect against further political violence by labeling Unity of Fields itself as a foreign terror organization.”
