“The Young Turks” host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ana-kasparian">Ana Kasparian</a> made it clear that whether President Joe Biden stays in the race or not, she’s not voting for him and has registered Independent over the Democrats power struggle.
Speaking to <a href="https://x.com/realDailyWire/status/1814103451397201931">The Daily Wire’s</a> Cabot Phillips, Kasparian said she’s turned away from the Democrat Party because she’s been sickened after watching 81-year-old Biden’s drive to hold “on to power,” something the Democrats have repeatedly tried to accuse former President Donald Trump of doing.
“Biden has centered his campaign on the idea that Donald Trump must be defeated because if he’s not defeated our democracy is on the line,” Kasparian told the host. “Biden also happens to be the weakest candidate to run up against Donald Trump.”

“He [Biden] can’t run on Donald Trump being a threat to Democracy while simultaneously remaining in the race knowing that he is the weakest possible candidate to beat Donald Trump,” she added. “I think that’s a huge problem for the Democrats.”
Phillips then pressed Kasparian, “If Joe Biden does remain on the ticket, would you vote for him?” 
“No, I would not vote for him,” she replied. “This entire power struggle that I’m witnessing on the Democratic side has made me register as an Independent.”
“I’m disgusted by it … we are talking about an 81-year-old — who again is the weakest possible candidate to run against Donald Trump — holding on to power,” she added.
“He’s [Biden] holding on for dear life and what it communicates to me is that there’s more interest in Biden’s power, in maintaining his power, as opposed to doing the right thing and bringing a younger candidate, a more competitive candidate, to actually beat Republicans and Donald Trump,” Kasparian continued.
During last month’s CNN Presidential Debate between Biden and Trump, the president had a disastrous performance as he struggled, rambled and even froze several times during the broadcast.
Following the debate, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/george-clooney-joins-chorus-of-stars-telling-biden-its-time-to-drop-out-of-race">Hollywood stars</a> and political commentators began calling for Biden to step out of the race. In the time since, the chorus of people saying Biden must drop out has only gotten stronger. 
Earlier this week, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/adam-schiff">Rep. Adam Schiff</a> (D-CA) publicly called on Biden to end his campaign early, saying that the U.S. was “at a crossroads.”
“A second Trump presidency will undermine the very foundation of our democracy, and I have serious concerns about whether the President can defeat Donald Trump in November,” he said.

Ana Kasparian, a co-host of the popular progressive online news show “The Young Turks,” lauded Daily Wire Editor Emeritus <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/the-ben-shapiro-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ben Shapiro&#8217;s</a> fairness in conversation after someone pilloried her for conducting interviews and debates with him.
The pair had a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-ben-shapiro-debated-ana-kasparian-here-are-the-highlights" target="_blank" rel="noopener">debate</a> back in 2021 and Kasparian was welcomed on Shapiro&#8217;s &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-get-so-much-flack-for-saying-this-ana-kasparian-talks-failed-leftist-policies-with-ben-shapiro" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sunday Special</a>&#8221; show for an hour-long sit-down interview this year. Though the pair disagree fiercely on most issues, both events were cordial and respectful.
In a post published Thursday on X, Kasparian suggested she is willing to speak to Shapiro because he has shown her respect, while she reserves the right to reject conversation with others she doesn&#8217;t find respectful &#8212; even if they happen to be on the Left politically, as she is.
&#8220;Unlike Vaush, Shapiro never once called me &#8216;retarded&#8217; or a &#8216;b****&#8217; over disagreements,&#8221; Kasparian wrote. Vaush is a popular Left-wing YouTuber and Twitch streamer whose real name is Ian Kochinski.
&#8220;That’s how big boys who don’t snort addies during unhinged streams act,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;I don’t owe anyone a conversation or debate. But I especially have no interest in anti-social creeps like Vaush. Simple.&#8221;

Kasparian has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/his-audience-isnt-crying-about-it-young-turks-ana-kasparian-defends-debate-with-ben-shapiro" target="_blank" rel="noopener">taken heat</a> from some extremists on the Left for engaging with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/the-ben-shapiro-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Shapiro</a>, who is one of the most prominent figures in conservative media.
In 2021, Shapiro and Kasparian debated topics like education, Critical Race Theory, and the news media during a discussion headlining the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s annual dinner. Following the debate, Kasparian seemed to address the backlash she received from the Left for engaging in the conversation, emphasizing that it was Shapiro who was “platforming” her, since he had a bigger audience than hers, and his “audience isn’t crying about it.”
“Going to be insufferable for a second to make an important point to those who want to accuse me of being some sort of demon for allegedly ‘platforming’ another demon just by debating Shapiro,” Kasparian started a four-tweet thread.
“I went before a room full of (literally) a thousand people who disagree with me. Health industry lobbyists, health care companies, oil businessmen, Republican politicians were all there in the audience,” she wrote. “No one (except one worker at the venue and my husband) was on my side, and I went in to debate a guy who is admittedly known as a good debater.”
“That took f***ing balls and I’m sick of being underestimated and attacked as some sort of bimbo,” Kasparian said. “I went in because I know I can defend my views assertively.”
“Ben has a bigger following than me. I can assure you he’s platforming me and his audience isn’t crying about it,” she wrote.
“I wish the left was more confident,” Kasparian closed the thread. “We look weak with the platform scolding. I think we’re right on the issues, and I think we can change more minds if we speak to more people.”
Shapiro agreed with Kasparian&#8217;s take, calling it &#8220;exactly right.&#8221;

A popular Left-wing host fired back at the political Left this week for pushing so-called transgender &#8220;treatments&#8221; to minors, warning that they leave &#8220;irreparable harm.&#8221;
Ana Kasparian, co-host of &#8220;The Young Turks,&#8221; said during a Sunday interview on a different show that leftists were attacking journalists to &#8220;intimidate&#8221; them &#8220;from doing accurate reporting on what’s actually occurring on the ground.&#8221;
She spoke out about a reporter who faced problems for reporting that there are risks &#8220;when it comes to transitioning literal kids with puberty blockers.&#8221;
&#8220;It is a lie that puberty blockers are reversible,&#8221; she said. &#8220;In some cases they are not, and they can cause irreparable harm.&#8221;
&#8220;Withholding the information because you don&#8217;t like the information getting out there ain&#8217;t the way to go, because that destroys any opportunity for us to actually have a good faith debate about what we should do moving forward, what are the pros and cons,&#8221; she said.

In April, Kasparian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ill-never-apologize-left-wing-co-host-doubles-down-on-slamming-birthing-person-language" target="_blank" rel="noopener">angered</a> leftists when she slammed attempts to erase women with &#8220;trans-inclusive&#8221; language.
“Lol! The meltdowns over wanting be referred to as a woman rather than a ‘birthing person’ is pretty wild,” she tweeted. “I’ll never apologize for that, especially as biological woman who has had a f***ing lifetime of being told I’m less than. I’m a woman. No apologies.”
When asked if anyone had actually called her a “birthing person,” Kasparian responded, “Yes … I live in CA.”
Her remarks came after she ripped the term back in March, saying, “I’m a woman. Please don’t ever refer to me as a person with a uterus, birthing person, or person who menstruates.”
“How do people not realize how degrading this is?” she added. “You can support the transgender community without doing this s***.”
