“The very young transitioning has gathered a lot of support from the left,” Horowitz says by way of introduction of his latest “Ami on the Loose” video shot for PragerU. “But how young is too young?”
Horowitz did not get his answer at <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ucla-moves-classes-online-after-ex-lecturer-threatens-faculty-writes-800-page-manifesto/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UCLA</a>.
“How old is she?” asks one woman as she takes a pen from Horowitz.
“She’s five,” Horowitz replies.
“She wants to do the transition now, as a five-year-old?” the woman answers. “Okay. Good luck.”
“Sure,” says another woman.
“Yeah, that’s fine,” says another willing signer.
Horowitz goads some passersby, telling one Annie is a “girl of color,” and describing her as having “mean parents” to another. He tells them she &#8220;wants to go through the steps: hormones, surgery.&#8221;
“At five, she has a right be who she wants to be, correct?” he tells one. “She knows who she is. I think she’s fully developed enough to realize that. Her parents think that she can’t make that kind of decision, and we think she can.”
The pitch leads to yet another signature for Annie.
Horowitz, who shot the video last April, told The Daily Wire he didn’t expect his survey was going to work.
“I set the age at 5 because of the sheer absurdity of the idea,” he said. “Yet the left never disappoints on the downside. Of the dozens of people who stopped and talked to me only a single person objected to what I was doing.
“Imagine allowing a 5 year old to medically transition,” he added. “It&#8217;s frightening how the left allows ideology to supersede rational thought.”
The lone person who balked at Horowitz’s overture was incredulous.
“How old is she?” he asks.
“She’s five,” Horowitz answers.
“Five?” the man responds. “F***in’ right, their parents won’t let ‘em.”
While few were outraged at the prospect of a 5-year-old girl going under the knife for a sex change, one woman did air a medical concern to Horowitz.
“If you’re coming up to people during a pandemic, I think you should at least be wearing a mask,” she snapped.

In an exposé of the forces behind the social unrest that marked 2020, filmmaker Ami Horowitz spent a year amidst the rioters and protesters triggered by the death of George Floyd, spoke to leaders of Black Lives Matter and interviewed a beleaguered black pastor in Chicago whose church is within a block of the most dangerous block in America and harshly criticized the BLM movement and the corporations that sponsor it.
The video begins with Horowitz noting that the Black Lives Matter movement came to the forefront after the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, who, we were initially told, was supposedly shot with his hands up, &#8220;leading to the hands up, don’t shoot crusade and the ensuing sacking of the town of Ferguson.”
But Horowiz pointed out that black eyewitnesses, jury members, and Barack Obama’s Department of Justice “destroyed the false narrative … in fact, it found the opposite: Michael Brown attacked officer Darren Wilson and attempted to take his weapon.”
“Yet this durable lie continues to exist,” Horowitz asserted.
“While most of those marching in Black Lives matter protests were not involved in riots across the country, there were very few among the hundreds of protesters that I spoke to that wouldn’t in some way justify the riots on the basis of perceived institutional racism or actual historical wrongs,” he continued.
&#8220;After the killing of George Floyd, the nation was convulsed with upheaval and rioting began across the country,&#8221; said Horowitz. &#8220;During these riots, dozens of people were killed or injured; thousands of businesses and properties were looted and torched, many of them minority owned. … The total losses for these businesses is estimated to be up to $5 billion with the majority of these businesses not insured for this type of loss. The devastation of these mostly minority neighborhoods will be felt for years.”
Horowitz spoke with Melina Abdullah, the founder of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, who stated, &#8220;So our freedom rides, the work that we&#8217;ve been doing, is really important that we go to Louisville. It&#8217;s really important that we go to Minneapolis, right? It&#8217;s really important that in 2014 we went to Ferguson or that we went to New York. It&#8217;s important to understand that, yeah, there&#8217;s these spaces and moments of mass uprising and that&#8217;s what freedom rides do. &#8230; It&#8217;s a great way to really, deeply get to know and understand the people that we&#8217;re organizing with &#8230;.&#8221;
Below are some of the comments Horowitz recorded from BLM protesters:
<blockquote>&#8220;We just gotta get rid of the whole s***.&#8221;
&#8220;Riot is the voice of the unheard.&#8221;
&#8220;I think some destruction and looting kinda sends the message to people and breaking their s*** is justified.&#8221;
&#8220;So will we take it back, will we burn it down? Yes, we&#8217;re getting back what&#8217;s ours. You won&#8217;t give it up? Ok, you ain&#8217;t having it no more.&#8221;
&#8220;This country was built on violence and when people had enough of the violence, that y&#8217;all have against us, and we give it back to y&#8217;all, y&#8217;all wanna be mad.&#8221; 
&#8220;Do we need violence as a tool? Yes. Yes, you gotta have violence. There&#8217;s four levels of protesting.  Looting and rioting is part of being protesting. So yes.&#8221;</blockquote>
Corey Brooks, pastor of New Beginnings Church in Chicago, spoke with Horowitz on O block; Horowitz noted that it has been called the most dangerous block in America. Brooks stated:
<blockquote>It amazes me that someone would even have the capacity to even think that those riots and the looting has helped our community. It is obvious when we&#8217;re already dealing with economic issues; we&#8217;re already dealing with not having enough jobs in our community, not having enough economic base. The last thing we need are for companies to pull out, for stores to close, for people to not have the resources because of rioting and looting. That&#8217;s something that we never ever need to happen again in our community. 
These same black people that you&#8217;re saying you want to help are the same stores that you&#8217;re rioting and looting. And so when people say, &#8220;Well, we don&#8217;t own any of the stores,&#8221; that&#8217;s not true.  There are mom and pop stores all around the South Side of Chicago who have experienced the looting and experienced the rioting and they&#8217;re not coming back. They&#8217;re not gonna open again because they&#8217;ve been devastated by people rushing in, looting, taking their things and now they have nothing. </blockquote>
Abdullah insisted, “Policing evolves from chattel slavery so wouldn&#8217;t it be ridiculous to say, ‘Let&#8217;s reform a vestige of chattel slavery?’ They do have to be prepared to completely dismantle the system of public safety.”
Brooks commented, “I think about how idiotic these types of statements are for people who live here, the impact that it would have on the increase of violence, the increase of crime, the chaos it would bring&#8230; the last thing we need is for the police to be defunded. &#8230; The last thing we need to do is to abolish the police in our neighborhood because we cannot have the anarchy and the chaos that would go on with police not being present.”
Horowitz noted that the sentiment of killing police officers &#8220;could be seen advocated at every BLM riot and even most of the protests that I went to.&#8221;
He asked Abdullah about the targeting and killing of police officers. He showed a clip of her smiling, &#8220;I can&#8217;t talk about that here.&#8221;
Asked if capitalism is destroying our country, Abdullah answered, &#8220;Yeah, absolutely.  Capitalism, which is based on this drive for profit in the unpaid labor of the worker, right, super exploits black people and creates systems to kind of shore it up.&#8221;
Horowitz noted that according to The Economist, between May 2020 and December 2020 donations to Black Lives Matter-related causes netted <a href="https://twitter.com/econus/status/1338355226173190144?lang=en">over $10 billion</a>. He commented, &#8220;The only part of capitalism that BLM does in fact love, is guilt capitalism. … That&#8217;s where corporations and individuals donate massive amounts of money to the organization even though Black Lives Matter demonizes them and exists to put them out of business.&#8221;
Brooks concluded,&#8221;If black lives really mattered to BLM, then why are you not here when six-month-old children get shot? When a three-year-old gets shot, when a 12-year-old girl gets shot in the head? And all of this violence is all around us. If they really matter, where are you? Why don&#8217;t you show up? Why don&#8217;t you give us a hand in helping us to transform our community? It&#8217;s amazing to me that organizations can say, ‘there for black lives,’ but when black lives are being eradicated and taken and stolen, there&#8217;s no sight of &#8217;em.&#8221;

Intrepid reporter Ami Horowitz traveled to Portland in his latest video dispatch of “Ami On The Loose” to interview rioters and witness the violence that has surrounded a federal courthouse in the city.
“For weeks, Portland has seen Black Lives Matter protests nightly in front of the federal courthouse. The mainstream media would have you think that these protests are peaceful and they simply want to stop police brutality. Nothing could be further from the truth,” Horowitz begins.
The video shows people using golf clubs and pipes to bash the courthouse’s protective paneling, as well as setting trash fires and shooting fireworks over a fence erected around building. Horowitz noted that hundreds of protesters surrounding the building cheered on the violence of those attacking the building and the federal law enforcement officers inside.
“There were groups of people interrogating journalists. They warned me that if I portrayed the protesters in a negative light, I would face ‘street justice,’ and after being recognized, I was pelted with broken glass,” Horowitz continued. “In the words of the protesters that I spoke to, the goal of these protests is to encourage societal breakdown so that it could be rebuilt in their own warped image.”
Horowitz asked a handful of protesters if “chaos” is useful for accomplishing their agenda. “It’s become a useful tool,” one protester said. Another emphasized that the chaos should be “organized.”
After a question from Horowitz, one protester agreed it was time to “end the American experiment.”
“Definitely,” said the protester, dressed in all black with little more than his eyes showing. “If we failed as an American experiment, it needs to be addressed.”
Another protester said that “we have to burn it down.”
On violence as a tool to bring about change, one female protester emphatically agreed, “Yes! Yes! You gotta have violence.” She went on to describe looting and rioting as “part of being protesting.”
Another woman said that violence is “an outcry of being silenced for way too long.”
Horowitz did find one man who disagreed with the violence of the protest outside of the courthouse. The man, who was black, said that the rioters were eventually going to leave and the mess would remain to be cleaned up by the local black community.
“I don’t know no black folks who’s throwin’ mortars and s**t. I don’t know no black folks who’s throwin’ bombs over a fence,” the man said. “That don’t have nothing to do with us.”
“And when everybody gets to go home, we stay black, homey, and we get blamed for your Black Lives f***ing Matter,” the man added. “This is bulls**t.”

Violent riots have rocked Portland for two months since the death of George Floyd. Cellphone footage of Floyd&#8217;s Memorial Day arrest showed a Minneapolis police officer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ex-minneapolis-police-officer-gets-1-25m-bail-in-george-floyd-murder-case">kneeling</a> on Floyd&#8217;s neck for nearly nine minutes until he became unresponsive. Floyd&#8217;s treatment sparked waves of protests that have since <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-protesters-break-into-target-loot-store-in-response-to-death-of-george-floyd-its-chaos-out-here">devolved</a> into riots in many major cities across the United States. In recent weeks, President Trump has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-barr-expand-operation-sending-hundreds-of-federal-agents-into-cities-plagued-by-violence">dispatched</a> federal law enforcement officers to cities such as Portland, Seattle, and Albuquerque to protect federal property from being razed, looted, or vandalized by violent mobs.

On Thursday, Ami Horowitz released a new video to YouTube in which he asks white and black New Yorkers if they “support abolishing the police.” Their answers are&#8230;quite different.
“There are many on the Left who want to abolish the police, feeling that communities of color will be better off without them,” Horowitz begins the video.
Horowitz then talks about how getting rid of the police “has entered the realm of normative debate,” citing the apparent support of the mayor of New York City’s wife.
First, he asks white New Yorkers about the police: “How much better off would the black community be if we dismantled the police?”
The answers ranged from affirmative to aggressive.
“I think infinitely, honestly,” a man wearing a light blue mask says.
A woman carrying several bags answers: “How much better off would we all be?”
One man wearing a pink t-shirt gets philosophical, and then aggressive: “I&#8217;d rather have something that doesn&#8217;t work without them than what we currently have, which is something that doesn&#8217;t work with them &#8230; I think that they are disgusting &#8230; I f***ing hate the police.”
Pink t-shirt later reiterates that he “f***ing” hates “the police and everything they stand for.”
Another man says the police should “absolutely” be abolished, and that they are “monsters.”
An older bald man claimes that “policing in this country is about keeping black people down,” and that “police arose out of slave-catching patrols.”
When asked about how people feel in “East Harlem” about the police, a respondent featured in the video says that he believes the people would feel the same as he does, if not more so.
Horowitz goes to Harlem to find out.
There, he asks a black man wearing a dark vest and woman with a gold necklace the following question: “What do you think of the people who say &#8230; your community would be better off if there was no police?”
The man replies: “I think they’re full of crap.”
The woman takes a more delicate approach: “I think they’re being somewhat ignorant.”
The man continues, saying that his 8-year-old son wants to be a policeman and that he, as a father, wants his son to be a policeman.
When Horowitz asks a man wearing a Nike t-shirt “how dangerous” the area would be without police, the man says it would be “very dangerous” because “people would be just going crazy.”
“It would be worse than what it is,” he adds. “Robberies, looting, raping, murder.”
Another woman replies that “it would be havoc” if the police were abolished.
One man wearing a “Black Lives Matter” t-shirt states that abolishing the NYPD “would be suicide.”
“There’s too many criminals out here, man. Are you kidding me?” the man adds. “I wouldn’t feel safe.”
Similar sentiment is expressed by others who interact with Horowitz.
A woman wearing a flower-patterned shirt says that she has family who are police and that she wouldn’t “want to see a lawless society.” She also makes sure to note that while she supports the police, she does not support police brutality.
When asked about the relationship between the NYPD and members of the community, a man wearing a blue Nike hat claims that “it’s pretty good,” noting that “all police officers are not bad,” and that there are ones who “really care about the people and really want to help the people.”

In a video posted Wednesday, documentary filmmaker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-protesters-interviewed-were-stealing-because-its-slavery-money-we-should-kill-them-police-bes-if-anybody">Ami Horowitz</a> went to the heart of the so-called &#8220;Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone&#8221; in Seattle, known as &#8220;CHAZ&#8221; or &#8220;CHOP,&#8221;  to speak to occupiers, including one the group&#8217;s leaders, Jaiden Grayson.
Grayson notably downplayed the 9/11 terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, emphasized that &#8220;by any means necessary&#8221; is not just a slogan but a promise, and advocated for police and the prison system to be &#8220;abolished,&#8221; not defunded.
Horowitz spoke to a number of demonstrators, all but one of whom advocated for violence and destruction. The outlier, a former Black Panther Party member, called the &#8220;autonomous zone&#8221; &#8220;bulls***&#8221; and criticized the movement.
&#8220;I think some disruption and looting kind of sends a message to people,&#8221; one demonstrator said.
A white female occupier told Horowitz that white people once participated in slavery, so &#8220;f*** white people.&#8221;
At one point, one of the members claimed CHAZ is peaceful, noting that a &#8220;super devout Christian&#8221; came to the area to preach against abortion and homosexuality and was left entirely alone. However, the member was interrupted by another man who claimed that the Christian was actually choked out by the fine people of CHAZ.

Grayson, appreciative of Horowitz for actually asking her what the people of CHAZ really want, bluntly told the documentarian, &#8220;Every single day that I show up here, I&#8217;m not here to peacefully protest. I&#8217;m here to disrupt until my demands are met. You cannot rebuild until you break it all the way down. Respond to the demands of the people, or prepare to be met with any means necessary.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s not a slogan,&#8221; she added, &#8220;it&#8217;s not even a warning. I&#8217;m letting people know what comes next.&#8221;

“The media narrative has been that the protesters and the violence are distinct,” Horowitz prefaced the video, “but the vast majority of protesters that I spoke to went out of their way to justify, in a non-socially distanced way, the anarchic orgy of violence.”

A new video from documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz uses statistics reported by The Washington Post and a study from two universities to suggest that police brutality is not about race.
Horowitz begins the video by explaining that statistics show more armed and unarmed white people are killed by police each year than any other race.
“The protests that have convulsed our nation are based on the premise that the police are racist writ large and that they target black people for death. But the statistics don’t support that conclusion,” Horowitz says.
“In fact, the data shows the exact opposite. According to The Washington Post and a new joint study by Michigan State University and the University of Maryland, which tracked every police shooting in every precinct across the country, it found that more white people are killed by police, both armed and unarmed, and controlling for crime rates, white people are disproportionately killed by officers. In fact, when there is a police shooting, black citizens are more likely to have been shot by black officers,” he adds.

His video shows two statistics from the Post. The first shows that in 2019, 1,003 armed people were killed by police, including 405 whites, 249 black, and 349 listed as “other.” Also in 2019, 55 unarmed people were killed by police, including 25 whites, 14 blacks, and 16 listed as “other.”
Horowitz took this information to protesters upset over the May 25 police-involved death of Minneapolis man George Floyd, who died in the hospital after a white officer, Derek Chauvin, held his knee on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes.
When Horowitz presented people with the data, he was told to “f—k off” by numerous demonstrators.
“I’m getting angry, I don’t want to talk anymore,” one white woman says after Horrowitz informs her that most black people killed by police are killed by black police officers.
When Horowitz tells one group of white protesters that there is police brutality but it’s not based on race, one says “Hey, there’s a bunch of d—ks over there you can go suck!”
“Do you care about the data?” he asks the group.
“Did you hear us, we said f—k off!” another person tells him.
“Your data can go suck the same d—k that you’re gonna go suck,” another person says.
One black man claimed the statistics were put out to “distort your mind so that you can come out here and talk this bulls—t!”

In a video posted Monday, documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz went to the heart of the violent rioting in Minneapolis and spoke to the protesters.
&#8220;The media narrative has been that the protesters and the violence are distinct,&#8221; Horowitz prefaced the video, &#8220;but the vast majority of protesters that I spoke to, went out of their way to justify, in a non-socially distanced way, the anarchic orgy of violence.&#8221;
Protesting that quickly turned into dangerous and violent rioting broke out across the nation last week, following the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after an officer had his knee on his neck for nearly nine minutes, a moment captured in a video that went viral.
Throughout the video, the violent protesters justify their theft, bash America, suggest all cop &#8220;b****es&#8221; need to be killed, and, at one point, attack an old man trying to defend his property. (Luckily, Horowitz was able to diffuse the situation after gaining the protesters&#8217; trust by likewise advocating &#8220;revolution.&#8221;)
&#8220;We&#8217;re attacking big known businesses, like Apple, Boost, Target, Walmart, BestBuy &#8212; all that s*** &#8212; Gucci, wherever the f*** you at, you better lock your doors,&#8221; one male protester told the documentarian.
&#8220;Google, Microsoft, all that bulls***, that&#8217;s all built up, that&#8217;s all slavery money,&#8221; he continued, &#8220;so when we take it back, or we burn it down, yeah. We gonna take what&#8217;s ours. You ain&#8217;t gonna give it up? Okay you ain&#8217;t having it no more.&#8221;
Horowitz asked, &#8220;This is about saying, &#8216;Hey man, you&#8217;re not giving it to us, so we&#8217;re gonna take it.'&#8221;
&#8220;Of course,&#8221; a female protester answered. &#8220;What do you expect them to do?&#8221;
As noted by Horowitz, it&#8217;s not just big corporations being targeted, but many small businesses, as well.
&#8220;If they didn&#8217;t kill a black man, they stores wouldn&#8217;t be burned down,&#8221; one male protester justified.
&#8220;Do we have to burn it down to rebuild it without racism?&#8221; posed Horowitz.
&#8220;Yes,&#8221; a female responded, adding, &#8220;That makes total sense.&#8221;
&#8220;Sometimes we gotta act out; it sucks that all this happened, that all the small businesses had to get burnt down, but without that, where would we be?&#8221; another male argued.
&#8220;This country was built on violence and when people had enough of the violence y&#8217;all have against us and we give it back to y&#8217;all, y&#8217;all wanna be mad,&#8221; a female protester told the filmmaker.
&#8220;Shoot back, shoot back,&#8221; one male said. &#8220;You come for me, I&#8217;m going for you,&#8221; a female protester added. &#8220;Point-blank.&#8221;
Asked if police forces should be defunded, all the protesters agreed. &#8220;Yes, we should demilitarize them,&#8221; one female yelled.
&#8220;No, actually, bro, I think we should kill them b****es,&#8221; a male said.
&#8220;America has it coming,&#8221; another protester added.
Later in the night, Horowitz saw one of the rioters threaten and then attack an older man with a thick stick and stones who was outside defending his home. Thankfully, Horowitz was able to intervene and push back the male. &#8220;No, no, no,&#8221; the filmmaker said to the attacker, pushing him back.

On Friday, Ami Horowitz released a new video in which he interviews people on the streets of New York City (specifically the East Village) about the #BelieveWomen ideology.
“Believe all women has been the mantra of the Left since the Kavanaugh hearings,” Horowitz states at the beginning of the video. “But do they really believe that?”
The video then jumps among a series of individuals on the street with whom Horowitz is interacting.
“How important is it to believe women?” Horowitz asks a man wearing a dark blue mask.
“I think it’s very important,” the man shoots back.
A man wearing a striped beanie echoes that sentiment, “Very.”
“You believe men, why don’t you believe women? Same thing,” a woman in a purple jacket says.
“Of course we should believe women,” says a woman holding a coffee cup.
“It’s f***ing important,” says another woman.
A woman sporting a yellow mask shares that she had been “sexually assaulted” in high school, but was told to keep quiet because “the guy was the star soccer player &#8230; so nobody would believe me.”
An elderly woman tells Horowitz that it is “absolutely important,” and that nobody believed her. She then tells him that she spent “35 years in jail for killing” the person who abused her. “So I have very strong feelings.”
Immediately after, Horowitz asks the elderly woman about Tara Reade, the woman who has accused presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993 when she worked as a Senate staffer.
“Do you believe her?” Horowitz asks.
The woman shoots back: “I think she’s an employee of Trump &#8230; I think she’s despicable.”
Horowitz continues, asking the same people who claimed it was imperative to believe women if they also believed Tara Reade.
“No, no,” says a woman while shaking her head.
The man in the striped beanie replies, “Uh, you never, uh, no, not really.”
“I don’t believe her,” states the woman holding the coffee cup.
“The timing is also very bizarre,” claimes the woman who had previously said that believing women was “f***ing important.”
“With Tara Reade, it just doesn’t seem as credible,” states the man in the dark blue mask, who then claimes that Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony regarding then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was “very credible.”
The woman in the purple jacket responds, “She should have spoken up earlier, and we need Biden.”
When asked to explain “the difference between Tara Reade’s allegations and the allegations of Christine Blasey Ford,” a man wearing a green mask who previously claimed to have a great memory fumbles. “Uh&#8230;” he says, followed by a lengthy pause. “Uh&#8230;you know, I don’t know, but I recall since my memory is so – to specifically say.”
The “f***ing important” woman adds that “Biden’s not going around” talking about how much he likes beer. It “was just frightening to say the least” when Kavanaugh spoke about beer, she says.
Horowitz replies: “He loved beer! That’s crazy!”

New York Post columnist Karol Markowicz penned a <a href="https://nypost.com/2019/12/29/how-liberals-are-allowing-anti-semitism-to-flourish/">potent recent piece</a> about how the leftist governments of New York City and New York state are allowing anti-Semitism to fester there.
&#8220;I used to write about Europeans and their apathetic attitudes ­toward the Jew-hatred around them,&#8221; Markowicz wrote. &#8220;Synagogues torched, Jews beaten — just another day on the Continent. But now the demon is here, in America. Worse, it’s stalking Jews with increasing regularity in New York City, my city, home to the largest Jewish population outside Israel.&#8221;
&#8220;In 2020, I don’t want to read ­another column like this one,&#8221; Markowicz continued. &#8220;All Jews want is to live our lives in safety. To ensure that, [New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio] will have to stop using the violence against us to fight his invisible political foes. De Blasio’s ideology has led to apathy, which, in turn, has resulted in injured Jews in our city.&#8221;
In a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hammer-an-armed-and-trained-jew-is-the-best-kind-of-jew">Daily Wire op-ed</a> following the recent horrific machete attack in Monsey, New York, I called for American Jews to train and arm themselves en masse:

In his latest man-on-the-street video, filmmaker Ami Horowitz played another round of &#8220;America&#8217;s favorite game: Who Said What?&#8221; — this time focused on &#8220;racist&#8221; comments about Baltimore, the city President Trump singled out repeatedly last week in his battle with Democratic Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings.
In <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1SsANgO1m8">the video</a>, Horowitz asks people who aren&#8217;t fans of Trump to identify the person they believe was behind various quotes slamming Baltimore, offering them three options: President Trump, former Democratic Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh (who resigned this year amid mounting pressure over a book deal scandal), and Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
To get things warmed up, Horowitz starts with the most famous (and recent) of the quotes: Baltimore is a &#8220;disgusting, rat and rodent-infested mess.&#8221;
The first &#8220;contestant&#8221; answers correctly that that &#8220;racist&#8221; quote was stated by none other than the original Baltimore-hater himself, Donald Trump.
But the second quote throws the next participant for a loop. &#8220;You can smell the rats from here,&#8221; Horowitz reads. The woman guesses Trump, only to learn that it was in fact the African American former mayor of Baltimore who offered that rather damning <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2019/07/29/baltimore-mayor-catherine-pugh-smell-the-rats/">comment</a> — and long before Trump took aim at the Democrat-controlled city.
Next quote: &#8220;What the hell? We should take all this sh** down.&#8221;
&#8220;That&#8217;s gotta be Trump,&#8221; says a dude whose made great progress growing a Gandalf beard. Unfortunately, again, it turns out that it was actually Mayor Pugh&#8217;s suggestion to tear down part of the city back in 2018 because it was so dilapidated.
Next quote: &#8220;You would think we&#8217;re in a third world country.&#8221; That quote sparks a debate between a hat and glass-wearing guy and girl, the guy insisting Bernie doesn&#8217;t use the term &#8220;third world&#8221; anymore, as it&#8217;s now politically incorrect. But, it turns out that, yes, it was Bernie, who offered the brutal critique <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bernie-sanders-blasted-baltimore-as-third-world-country-and-disgrace-in-past-comments">back in 2015</a>.
The contestants don&#8217;t always get things wrong, but they generally err on the side of blaming Trump.

The controvery over Baltimore began when Trump issued a series of tweets blasting Rep. Cummings, whose district includes the city, for neglecting what he described as a crime-plagued, &#8220;rat and rodent infested mess&#8221; and said &#8220;no human being would want to live there&#8221; — comments the Democrats and their allies in the media quickly declared &#8220;racist.&#8221;
&#8220;Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men &amp; women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous,&#8221; Trump tweeted last week &#8220;His district is considered the Worst in the USA. As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient &amp; well run, just very crowded. Cumming[s&#8217;] District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous &amp; filthy place.&#8221;
&#8220;Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen?&#8221; Trump added. &#8220;Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!&#8221;

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Ami about his attempt to make the stage for the first set of Democratic debates on June 26 and 27, and potentially hold fire to the feet of the other candidates.
<blockquote>DW: What was the first spark of this idea to run?
AMI: The first spark was in February, when I first heard about the qualifications to get on the debate stage. I looked at it, and I was like, &#8220;This is achievable.&#8221; Couple that with the radicalization of the Democratic Party over the last several years, and I thought, &#8220;This is a really important endeavor to pursue, to point out their radicalization and to hold them accountable for their viewpoints,&#8221; which I have felt that the mainstream media has failed to do consistently over the years, but in particular with this group of candidates.
DW: You&#8217;re asking for donations, but you also presumably had to follow through with other aspects of a political run. Can you break down what you&#8217;ve had to do in order to get into the race?
AMI: Yeah. For the moment, the goal is to get on the debate stage, which we&#8217;re looking to pursue through the 65,000 donation threshold. We are now formulating a real team, but that team hasn&#8217;t fully launched. So, it&#8217;s really more of an air campaign versus a ground campaign at this point in order to get the qualification. If we qualify and get on the debate stage, the game changes, and we can move on to phase two. Phase one is primarily just an air game to try to get those supporters.
DW: If you succeed in reaching the 65,000 donors threshold, are you confident that you could get on the stage, as they plan to limit the debates to 20 candidates?
AMI: I’m pretty confident. I don&#8217;t want to get into the sort of inside baseball on the qualification process because it’s actually kind of complicated once you have more than 20 people who have qualified, which they don&#8217;t at this point. There’s not much time left. But yeah, I think that when it comes down to the donor base itself and it becomes a horse race on how many donors you have beyond 65,000 – which is one of the ways it&#8217;s going to take to qualify – I feel confident that we could beat out people like Marianne Williamson, and Seth Moulton, and other guys who came in late and haven&#8217;t really been lighting the world on fire when it comes to the actual individual donors.
It’s going to be hard to poll, and I don&#8217;t think they&#8217;re going to have 20 people who poll at one percent on three different recognized polls, so if they don&#8217;t, which I suspect they will not, then it will become a horse race on the donors.
DW: Are there some people who are pissed about your run?
AMI: I know they&#8217;re already pissed. Without giving out too much information at this point, I know that we are already making people nervous at the DNC.
DW: What do you expect is going to happen if you hit that 65,000 threshold? Do you think they&#8217;re going to attempt to manipulate the rules?
AMI: Well, they&#8217;re in a box, and the box is this – they either put me on the stage where I then speak truth to power, which I think they find to be very uncomfortable, or they have to go against everything they have professed to believe in for this particular race, which is inclusivity and openness, and to move away from the mistakes they made with the backroom deals to get Hillary the nomination as opposed to Bernie Sanders.
They would have to change the rules midstream, which they swore up and down they wouldn&#8217;t do, and in the process, they would end up screwing other people who are trying to qualify the same way that I am. I&#8217;m not the only person who&#8217;s going to try to qualify at 65,000 and not be able to poll, so they would be in a significant box, and I do not envy them.
DW: Assuming you get on the debate stage, what is the plan going forward?
AMI: It’s about making that debate stage a very unsafe place for them. Look, they are used to people not holding them accountable for their views; they&#8217;re used to the media not asking them tough questions on some of their insane policies – and I use that word kind of flippantly, but I really believe that a lot of these policies are insane. I think they&#8217;re going to be in a place where they have to defend the positions they&#8217;re taking that are way out of the mainstream – and I don’t just mean the mainstream among Republicans and independents. I think they&#8217;re outside the mainstream among Democrats.
I think if you poll the Democratic electorate (not Democratic primary voters or Democratic leadership), and ask them if they believe in capitalism versus socialism, overwhelmingly you’re gonna hear people say &#8220;capitalism.&#8221; If you ask Democratic voters if they believe in late-term abortion, I think a majority of them would say that they do not. If you ask Democratic voters if they believe in open borders, a majority of them would say that they do not. I think if you look at the electorate in general, the candidates are so outside the mainstream.
DW: What do you think has driven them so far out of the mainstream?
AMI: It&#8217;s a great question. I think that the Democratic Party has been moving inexorably over the last decade or so – really more than that – to the Left. The shift to the Left over the past two years has been supercharged, I think, primarily driven by people like AOC, and Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar. I think the leftist Young Turks who had been vocal and recently elected have been driving this process even further to the Left over a faster period of time. As a result, I think the candidates are all trying to play catch-up; they are all trying to out-woke each other; and that is to the great detriment, not only of the country but of the Democratic Party itself.
DW: What’s been the response to your candidacy from the Right?
AMI: It&#8217;s impossible for me to know the politics of the people who are donating, but I think this is actually awakening the imagination of people from the Right, the Left, and the center. I&#8217;m guessing people on the far-Left are not particularly fond of my candidacy. I think left-of-center people, independent, and right-of-center people are excited about this. The people who should be most excited about this, by the way, are the networks who are carrying the debate. I mean, if I get on that debate stage, I guarantee you that I will double their ratings. I think they&#8217;re really excited about having a guy like me out there.
From the testimonials we&#8217;ve been getting from people on Twitter and on Facebook and Instagram, all those social media sites, they are excited about someone like me jumping in this campaign. I&#8217;m a different kind of candidate. I&#8217;m not a politician. I think we saw that there&#8217;s an appetite for non-politicians since Donald Trump is our president. I think people are excited about it.
DW: Let’s say you get on the debate stage, you kill it, and you begin actually polling with decent numbers. Does this transform from a stunt designed to awaken people to a real campaign?
AMI: Game on. I mean, we’ll take this all the way to the convention, no doubt about it. We will be a thorn in their side, and we will be pushing them to be honest and truthful about where they stand throughout the entire process. I&#8217;m not saying that I’m the hands-on favorite to win the nomination, although stranger things have happened, but yeah, we&#8217;ll be there as long as we have the polling and the funding. We have a team, and we will be pushing, we will be expanding, and we will continue to hold these guys accountable.
DW: Describe yourself politically. Where do you fall on the political spectrum?
AMI: Ideologically speaking, I do move around the spectrum a little bit. I&#8217;m an issue guy, and I&#8217;m certainly a country over party guy. So, I’m not interested in holding myself to a particular party, but I would say I&#8217;m definitely right-of-center, no question about that, but there are things that I go kind of left-of-center on, things that I go dead-center on, and things I go maybe a little more than right-of-center on. So, it depends on the particular issue, but I would say that overall, my ideology is right-of-center.
DW: Are you able to give an update on the donations?
AMI: We are well above 10% of what we need. I think we&#8217;re somewhere around the 15% range of what we need. We haven&#8217;t done the big-gun media quite yet, which we&#8217;ll be doing in a couple of weeks. We’re definitely in a position to close the deal. I mean, think about it. It’s one dollar to see the greatest show on earth. Talk about must-see-TV. Have me up there throwing an intellectual hand grenade in the middle of the stage.</blockquote>

Ami Horowitz Talks About His Attempt To Reach 65,000 Donors To Crash The Democratic Debate Stage

We&#8217;ve been hearing all kinds of contradictory stories about the massive migrant caravan steadily making its way north across Mexico to the U.S. border, but what&#8217;s it really like on the ground? Is it a group of desperate families who&#8217;ve spontaneously banded together to try to find a better life? Or is it something less noble and more orchestrated, as some reports suggest.
Conservative filmmaker Ami Horowitz decided to see for himself and brought his camera crew so others could get a glimpse at &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quz5A87Oqgc&amp;feature=youtu.be">the truth behind the caravan</a>.&#8221;
&#8220;The caravan is a giant group of people that emanated, for the most part, in Honduras and are heading up to the U.S.,&#8221; Horowitz explains. &#8220;A lot has been said about this caravan, so I decided to go down, check it out for myself, and figure out what is the reality versus the fiction.&#8221;
Horowitz took his crew down to the base camp for the caravan in the southern state of Oaxaca, which he describes as &#8220;an area of Mexico which is riddled with narco-crime and cursed with extreme poverty.&#8221;
&#8220;Despite the framing of the caravan as being full of women and children, the reality on the ground is quite different. Approximately 90 to 95% of the migrants are male,&#8221; notes Horowitz, over footage of rows and rows of men.
&#8220;The major narrative being pushed by the press is that the migrants are leaving Honduras because they are escaping extreme violence and that their lives are under constant threat, setting up the strategy that they will be able to enter the U.S. by asking for asylum,&#8221; &#8220;he says. &#8220;So I started by asking them a simple question: Why are you coming to America?&#8221;
The answers he gets don&#8217;t appear to align with the &#8220;extreme violence&#8221; claims. &#8220;Well, I&#8217;m looking for a better life &#8212; economic,&#8221; says one male migrant. &#8220;I wish to get there and work there,&#8221; another male migrant says. &#8220;Because in Honduras there are no jobs,&#8221; says another. &#8220;We are looking for a better life, because we don&#8217;t have jobs,&#8221; another man agrees.
Most of the other migrants Horowitz features answer something similar: &#8220;For jobs,&#8221; &#8220;To work.&#8221; Some of the migrants cite education. &#8220;Because I want to finish my studies there,&#8221; says one young man.
As for the &#8220;spontaneity&#8221; of the caravan, Horowitz demonstrates that it&#8217;s anything but spontaneous: &#8220;There&#8217;s a massive logistical effort underway, akin to moving an army,&#8221; he explains, over footage of all of the manpower and resources required to keep the caravan operational. &#8220;And it&#8217;s clearly costing someone millions of dollars for transportation, food, water, medicine and services that are being provided for members of the caravan.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s a supply chain that&#8217;s being delivered by an army of trucks, which are all necessary to keep this enormous group moving forward,&#8221; he continues over video of trucks filled with supplies and transport vehicles crammed with migrant men.
Along with the Mexican government, which is helping to escort the caravan, and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, which is supporting the caravan&#8217;s efforts, are &#8220;ever-present&#8221; members of a group called Pueblo Sin Fronteras, or &#8220;People Without Borders,&#8221; a self-described &#8220;immigration rights group&#8221; that is supporting and directing the caravan toward its final destination.
&#8220;They&#8217;re the ones that seem to be most involved in organizing and mobilizing this caravan,&#8221; says Horowitz. &#8220;The organization, as the name implies, is looking to create a world without borders, which seems to be one of the reasons why they organized this caravan in the first place, to flout American sovereignty.&#8221;
