Marcus Arbery, the father of Ahmaud Arbery, who was shot and killed in Georgia last year by three men, reacted to the jury&#8217;s decision on Wednesday to convict the three men of murder by delivering a uniting message outside the courthouse: all lives matter.
&#8220;For real, all lives matter, not just black children, we don&#8217;t want to see nobody go through this,&#8221; Marcus Arbery said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t want to see no daddy watch their kid get [inaudible] or shot down like that.&#8221;
&#8220;So, it&#8217;s all our problem,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;It&#8217;s all our problem. So hey, let&#8217;s keep fighting and let&#8217;s keep doing it and making this place a better place for all human beings, all human beings, everybody. Love everybody. All human beings need to be treated equally.&#8221;

<blockquote>Gregory McMichael, 65, Travis McMichael, 35 — who are father and son were found guilty of felony murder, aggravated assault, and false imprisonment. Separately, Travis McMichael was also found guilty of malice murder — a charge his father was found not guilty of. William “Roddie” Bryan, 52 — a neighbor — was found not guilty on one count of felony murder, but guilty on other counts of felony murder, and also found guilty of aggravated assault and false imprisonment. He was found not guilty of malice murder. Each of them men had pleaded not guilty in court. 
Lawyers for the McMichaels argued in court that they were pursuing a burglary suspect to perform a citizen’s arrest; a lawyer for Bryan argued that Bryan merely recorded the incident and his presence was entirely irrelevant to Arbery’s death. 
Although Arbery was killed in February 2020, the case drew national attention months later after a video of the fatal encounter was leaked to a local media station by an attorney with an informal connection to Bryan — an attempt to set the record straight. 
The video showed Arbery running down the street in the direction of a white pickup truck, where Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael can be seen armed and waiting for Arbery. The duo has argued that they believed he was a suspect in a recent string of burglaries in the neighborhood. When Arbery approaches the truck, he goes around to the passenger’s side, and a struggle breaks out between him and Travis McMichael, who is holding a shotgun. Arbery is fatally shot in the encounter. …
The verdict brings an end to only one chapter of the case, which was tossed around from prosecutor to prosecutor due to conflicts of interest and pressure from Arbery’s mother. 
Jackie Johnson, the first prosecutor, was indicted in September for “showing favor and affection” to Gregory McMichael, who previously worked in her office. Although Johnson recused herself from the case within days of receiving it, before doing so, she sought advice about the case from George Barnhill, who would become the second prosecutor. Barnhill would later recuse himself at the request of Arbery’s mother, but not before telling the police department in a letter, in early April, that there was “insufficient probable cause to issue arrest warrants at this time.”</blockquote>

After a 15-year hiatus from making music — aside from a 2016 single featuring Ariana Grande, “Faith” — Stevie Wonder, the legendary Motown artist who helped define and direct American music for decades, has returned to recording with a pair of singles and a perspective album in the works — his first since 2005’s A Time to Love.
After taking a break from music due to health concerns, he reassured fans in a recent interview that his recovery was on track, saying, “Since I have been released from the hospital, the nurses have made sure I’ve taken my medicine on time and I’m going to do it for as long as I have to, even if it is the rest of my life. I feel great. My voice feels great.” And on his latest singles, it sounds great too. 
This is not the first time Stevie Wonder, one of the biggest names in the history of modern music, has overcome a medical hurdle. Wonder was born four weeks premature and needed to be kept in an incubator for a month. As a result of receiving too much oxygen in the incubator, Stevie developed retrolental fibroplasia and was rendered permanently blinded. Despite his immeasurable hardship, Wonder grew up optimistic and jovial, showing natural musical talent from a very young age. Not long after learning to speak, he was singing in church choir and playing the bongos and the harmonica. Stevie Wonder was only 11 years old when he was signed to Motown Records.
As documented by Nelson George’s 1985 book, &#8220;Where Did Our Love Go? The Rise and Fall of the Motown Sound,&#8221; Motown Records was a second home to Wonder. His father divorced his mother and abandoned Wonder at a young age, and as a result, Stevie Wonder’s mentors in the recording studios of Motown didn’t just develop his musical talent; they shaped and guided him as a man.
It is this long and familial relationship with the Michigan-born record label Motown that makes Wonder’s recently revealed departure from the record label so significant. Along with releasing new music, Wonder announced he would be <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/stevie-wonder-new-songs-1074675/">leaving</a> his veritable second home since 1962 to launch his own venture, Republic Records, under which he released two original singles: “Where Is Our Love Song” and “Can’t Put It in the Hands of Fate.” 
Wonder revealed that “Where Is Our Love Song” had been a work-in-progress since he was just 18 years old, and that he had recently unearthed it, only to rework the lyrics to align with modern times. “Then came this year … with all the confusion and all the hate and all the east versus west, left versus right. It’s just a hard break.” The song features multiple Grammy award winner Gary Clark Jr on guitar and Wonder on his signature instruments, the piano and harmonica. While the instrumental arrangement of “Where is Our Love Song” sounds as distinctly Motown as anything, Wonder’s voice is noticeably more mellow than in his heyday – no longer capable of hitting tenor range in such jolting growls as on songs like “I Wish” or “High Ground,” or even his highest notes from “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.” Wonder smartly drives a soothing vocal, somewhere between the once great extremes of his vocal range. 
The lyrics are far less interesting than the instrumentation. Imbued with platitudes, Wonder sings, “Where is our prayer for peace; The prayer so long we yearn to release; Not just on this urban bloodstained street… Where is our peace prayer? Our desperately needed prayer for peace.”
For his second single, “Can’t Put It In the Hands of Fate,” Wonder discussed the song’s beginnings in an <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/stevie-wonder-new-songs-1074675/">interview</a> with Rolling Stone. “When I first wrote it, it was about a relationship… And then I was thinking about where we are in the world and I was thinking … this craziness is unacceptable. We’re not going for it anymore.” Accordingly, Wonder added rappers Busta Rhymes, Rapsody, Cordae and Chika to the mix, and in a departure from his recognizable Motown sound, opted for a rap and hip-hop driven record, with politics at the forefront. 
This isn’t Wonder’s first venture into political waters. In 1974, he wrote the funky, “You Haven’t Done Nothin’,” a sardonic takedown of then-president Nixon, lambasting his empty campaign promises. But what made that song timeless was that — aside from being an irresistible groove — it carried a message that could apply to any bureaucrat. However, Stevie’s latest political attempt abandons the wry playfulness of “You Haven’t Done Nothin’,” favoring something far more bitter. 
In “Can’t Put It in the Hands of Fate,” the lyrics read like a recent op-ed from football player turned activist, Colin Kaepernick. Rapsody and Cordae declare:

Made our death legal, 
we all paralegal&#8230;
Gotta defend ourselves when the laws ain’t equal.</blockquote>
They go on to accuse police of wantonly aiming to kill black people: 
<blockquote>Cops aim lethal &#8230; death in cathedrals &#8230;
Bang-bang boogie, you could die wearin’ a hoodie&#8230;</blockquote>
Next, Wonder commits one of the greatest sins of songwriting by specifically calling out and censuring today’s &#8220;hot topic&#8221; — in this case, the &#8220;all lives matter&#8221; counter-movement. 
<blockquote>You say that you believe that all lives matter; 
I say, I don’t believe the f&#8211;k you do; 
You say, &#8220;All things in time.&#8221; 
I say, &#8220;That’s why I’m not gonna put it in the hands of fate.&#8221;</blockquote>
The song continues along these lines, relying on current trends for content and references the new phenomenon of kneeling for the national anthem at professional sports games.
<blockquote>Yeah, we went from fields into a field; 
Bodies hittin’ the ground, and so we gotta take a kneel.</blockquote>
Generally, if you want a piece of art to outlive the era it was created in, it needs to be as loosely connected with the specifics of its era as possible. In “Can’t Put It in the Hands of Fate,” Wonder’s songwriting fails to achieve this. Wonder falters because he rejects the need for ambiguity, instead using his lyrics like a political pundit appearing on network news and launching straight into the most current, controversial subject available. 
Understandably, at this point in Stevie Wonder’s career, he has more than enough enduring hits, which is why “Can’t Put It in the Hands of Fate” is essentially his version of penning an op-ed — it’s a piece of current commentary, not meant to outlive the current news cycle, let alone transcend its time.

During the 11th night of protests in downtown Rochester, New York, a lone man confronted a crowd of left-wing protesters who were dressed in all black.
The man, identified as a &#8220;counter protester&#8221; by local media, told the group of protesters Sunday night that &#8220;all lives matter&#8221; before he was &#8220;chased away.&#8221;
&#8220;Single counter protestors chanting &#8216;All [Lives] Matter&#8217; was confronted then chased away,&#8221; said Democrat &amp; Chronicle reporter Sean Lahman. &#8220;Tensions are rising.&#8221;
&#8220;I served in the army, in Korea,&#8221; the man tells the protesters.
&#8220;Shut the f*** up, b****,&#8221; one of the protesters, whose face is completely covered, tells the man.
The man responds in kind, &#8220;You shut the f*** up, b****.&#8221;
The protester answers, &#8220;Shut your mother f***ing a** the f*** up, b****.&#8221;
&#8220;Go back to your own side!&#8221; another protester yells to the man.
&#8220;This is my home!&#8221; the man responds. &#8220;Not your home!&#8221;
&#8220;All lives matter,&#8221; he chants as he backs away from the crowd. &#8220;All lives matter! All lives matter!&#8221;
The protesters chant the song, &#8220;Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.&#8221;

During the same night of protesting, Lahman posted video of activists scolding media for taping the at-times violent protests, offering a veiled threat seemingly to discourage them from reporting.

Last week, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rochester-officers-cover-names-after-protesters-shout-their-addresses-kids-names-make-taunting-calls-to-parents-in-front-of-them">The Daily Wire</a> reported that Rochester Police Department (RPD) officers were given permission to cover up their names displayed on their tags to avoid harassment from protesters, who were screaming out their home addresses, kids’ names and schools, and making taunting calls to their parents in front of them. The activists are also spreading the officers&#8217; personal information on social media.
“The past couple of months officers names have been researched by protesters to put personal information out to the public, putting the safety of their families in jeopardy,” <a href="https://www.whec.com/rochester-new-york-news/mayor-warren-city-council-hold-briefing-on-police-operations/5857155/">said</a> a statement from RPD Chief La’Ron Singletary, who announced his resignation earlier this week.
“Officers have been allowed to remove their name tags in an effort to prevent their personal information from being spread on social media,” Singletary added.
Protesters have demanded resignations from top city and county officials, including Democrat Mayor Lovely Warren and at times perpetrated violence in the city during protests concerning the death of Daniel Prude, who interacted with RPD officers back in March and died about a week later.
An autopsy report from the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office, <a href="https://www.wxxinews.org/post/daniel-prude-was-suffocated-rochester-police-his-family-says">according</a> to WXXI News, listed Prude’s cause of death as “complications of asphyxia in the setting of physical restraint due to excited delirium due to acute phencyclidine intoxication,’ an indication that Prude might have been high on PCP.”
The news outlet <a href="https://www.wxxinews.org/post/daniel-prude-was-suffocated-rochester-police-his-family-says">highlighted</a> that police reports indicate Prude had apparently “gone on a destructive tear,” “smashing out the windows of several storefronts, and ranting about having the coronavirus” before police came in contact with him.

On Friday, the 19th anniversary of the horrific day when nearly 3,000 Americans were murdered in attacks by Islamic terrorists who flew hijacked planes into the 110-story North and South Towers of the World Trade Center buildings in Manhattan, triggering them to collapse into fiery debris, leftists started a hashtag called #AllBuildingsMatter on Twitter mocking the hashtag #AllLivesMatter.
“On Friday morning, the phrase went viral as a hashtag on Twitter — with only #NeverForget trending higher in the US — sparking outrage by again comparing the horror of the nearly 3,000 killed on 9/11 to civil rights protests,” <a href="https://nypost.com/2020/09/11/disgust-as-allbuildingsmatter-trends-on-9-11-anniversary/?utm_source=NYPTwitter&amp;utm_medium=SocialFlow&amp;utm_campaign=SocialFlow">the New York Post</a> reported.
On Wednesday, <a href="https://abc7ny.com/fdny-september-11-firefighter-memorial-911/6415555/">ABC7 New York</a> reported that even 19 years later, more names had been added to the list of victims of the attacks: &#8220;The FDNY added the names of 27 department members who died of illnesses related to their work in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center to the FDNY World Trade Center Memorial Wall in a closed ceremony at FDNY Headquarters.&#8221;

As everyone knows, the World Trade Center, where 2,606 of the victims of 9/11 died, was not the only target for the Islamic terrorists; they also hijacked another plane that crashed into the Pentagon, where 125 Pentagon workers were killed, and another, United 93, that was targeted for the Capitol in Washington D.C., according to the terrorist leadership. United 93, which the terrorists hijacked in order to attack Washington D.C., crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania after brave passengers fought back against the terrorists.
A total of 411 emergency workers died attempting to rescue people and fight fires. The New York Police Department lost 23 officers, and 343 members of the <a href="https://www.amny.com/9-11-anniversary/these-images-show-horror-and-heroism-in-new-york-on-9-11-19-years-ago-friday/">New York City Fire Department died</a> as a result of the attacks.
Reports indicated hijackers stabbed and killed pilots, flight attendants, and passengers.
