There is apparently not one mirror in the Lena Dunham household.
Lacking even an ounce of self-awareness, Ms. Dunham made her way to the Southern border with her Hollywood pals to protest the separation of children from their mothers and families. She even held a sign that read, “Keep Families Together.”
Yeah, Duhman is a hardcore abortion advocate, endlessly promoting the literal tearing of unborn children from their mothers.
“I’m here cause this is a humanitarian crisis and it’s deeply important that we as Americans stand up and say ‘this is not who we are, this is not what we believe in, we do not believe in the separation or detention of families,'” Dunham said along the Southern border in Texas, reports BuzzFeed News’ Amber Jamieson.
Dunham was accompanied by Bella Thorne, Joshua Jackson, Amber Heard, Connie Britton, Sia, Mira Sorvino, and Constance Wu at the Tornillo detention center.
Fellow vocal Hollywood anti-Trumper Rob Reiner was also in attendance. The actor called President Donald Trump “immoral,” inhumane,” and a “racist” — as are his supporters, he said.
“He is stoking racism,” said Reiner. “He is stoking racism; he is hoping that the racists who support him will come out in November, but we’ve got news for him: We’re gonna come out in November; we’re all gonna be there. And we’re gonna stop this inhumane, disgraceful policy.”
It’s unclear where all these Hollywood stars were in 2014, when children were detained by the Obama Administration in poor conditions. They certainly weren’t at the border. That’s for sure.
Additionally, this is all very rich coming from such a pro-abortion crowd, particularly Dunham, who once lamented not having had an abortion so she could be an even more effective advocate for it. “I haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had,” she said on a podcast in 2016. Clearly, she has selective outrage over the “separation of families.” It’s fine to shamelessly advocate for the unborn to be ripped from their mothers and it’s also apparently fine for children to be detained at the border when it’s a Democrat president in office.
How odd.
The hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness is beyond parody. Lefties are seemingly looking to put “The Onion” out of business.
